The Spiritual Health Journey to Freedom: Making Health Your Life Purpose

Interview (Dec 2022) between host Rebeccah Silence and spiritual health coach Richard Greifenger exploring a holistic approach to wellness that integrates physical, mental, emotional and spiritual care. They define healing as freedom from blocks and emphasize personalized, sustainable plans (not one-size-fits-all diets), movement as spiritual practice, self-love/unconditional commitment, and practical entry points (free discovery/empowerment call and a Facebook group). The conversation frames health as a life purpose and invites listeners to begin regardless of age or past setbacks.

How do people connect to their body, their spirit's guidance of what would work for them now versus just what they think they should do or what other personal trainers or health professionals are telling them that they should do? Because that's another problem that we face is we will listen to the outside opinion instead of connecting to our own truth.
Yeah, we might read something in a magazine. Well, this is the hot new trend in Hollywood that they're all doing XYZ program or whatever it is, you know, that may not be, that may not fit your, your particular needs at all. So, so what I do is I just, I, I, it's a thorough interview process going through exactly, you know, what has your history been? What do you enjoy doing? You may not enjoy the new bad or whatever it is out there. So it's, it is, it is custom tailored to each individual person. So it's an interview process where we, we look at all the different aspects. Where have you been? You know, what, what are you doing currently? And what, what is your current goal? What are your physical limitations right now? What are you able to do? And then we build on it from there. Okay, we're going.
Okay. Three, two. Healing is possible. Experience where today we are going to talk about spiritual health and wellness. A way to pursue health and optimal wellness that helps motivate you, helps make it actually a fun experience that you want to be on the journey of and in the pursuit of health can be so overwhelming. Health can be so tasky. Health goals can, can feel daunting and overwhelming and out of reach. And pursuing health in a spiritual way, at least for me, has made my health goals achievable, has made the pursuit of health and wellness fun and an experience that is a victory, not a defeat or just overwhelming. Painful. Experience. Experience. I have been in the pursuit of health for my entire life. I'm 42 years old. I'm a cancer survivor. And how health has become a fun experience is by making it a spiritual one. Welcome to the show where we take you on a journey of hope and healing. I'm your host, Rebecca Silence. So proud for you and all of us to be able to have this conversation today about what spiritual wellness and health can look like and how to pursue health in a new and unique way. We have master expert Richard Greifenger with us today. He is a spiritual health coach and he is a leading expert in what it takes to not just be physically healthy, but spiritually healthy and whole. He has created the spiritual health journey and takes his clients through processes that go beyond traditional health and wellness practices into a realm of knowing their whole wholeness. Now, Richard believes that people are meant to have spiritual satisfaction when it comes to their wellness. His process teaches people how to have healthy body so that they can have a healthy spirit and addresses body energy and soul work. Richard, so honored to have you with us today. Welcome to the show.
Well, thank you for having me. Thank you very much, Rebecca. I'm looking forward to getting started and discussing the spiritual health journey with you.
Yes, I'm so excited as well. So let's just start by having you share your definition of healing. My definition of healing, for those of you that are new to the show, is healing. Healing means it doesn't hurt anymore. Healing means there's freedom and there's an expansive experience versus a trapped, restricted experience. Experience. What is your definition of healing, Richard?
I would say that my definition of healing is pretty similar to yours. That what has been putting you, you know, preventing you from being the best that you can be no longer is preventing you from being the best that you can be. You are free of that pain. You are free of that. That burden. You know, whatever it is, it's going to be different, obviously, for different people, but it's complete. It's completely gone. You're able to pursue what you want to pursue ultimate happiness, your ultimate goals. It's no longer in the way. That's what I would say healing is for me. It's no longer a block, mental block, physical block. Whatever. Whatever it is, it is no longer affecting you.
Yeah. And does the healing have to wait until the block is removed? Or is it enough to just recognize the block and be in the pursuit. Pursuit of diffusing the power the block has over you.
Exactly. Yeah, I guess. Yeah. Really? The first part is recognition. Recognizing what has been preventing you from going forward to becoming the best you can be emotionally, physically, and mentally. So there's so many different things that people experience and that it can be. So discovery is the first part of it, and then dealing with it is obviously the second part of it.
Yeah. And what I love about your work is it's so much more than just diet, exercise, hydration, sleep. I see so many people, I mean, I don't know anybody who hasn't at one point in their life attempted, you know, a physical health goal. And how many of us, right, millions upon millions of people, even billions, feel defeated before they even start or regardless of how much, much effort they put in, they're not getting the goals, they're not arriving at the goals. The way they want to or at all. Right. And you take health and wellness beyond just diet, exercise, hydration, sleep. Talk to us about spiritual health and the pursuit of spiritual health and what that can do for people.
Well, what spiritual health is, it's going to be different for different people. It's going to be connection to your source, you know, whether that's God or whatever your religion, religious belief might be. It's going to be connection to society as a whole, to the world as a whole, and even to the universe as a whole. So that's really what spiritual health is, in my opinion. So for different people, it's going to be a different, different thing. But that's what I help you, each individual person, discover. My, my work is not cookie cutter. It's. It's personally tailored to each individual person. So that's what I, I work with people on is, is taking them on that journey from beginning to end to find out what that really means to them. So, and that's exactly what I like to, how I like to put it. It is your personal journey to find what your true meaning is. What is your purpose in, in this world? What is your purpose in this life? What are you meant to do and how are you meant to do it? And that's what I help people with. And starting.
I'm sorry, go ahead.
Yeah, starting with physical health and then building into mental health and then emotional health. Then it's all wrapped up into one. Becoming spiritual health. I know it's not really something that can be measured. It's, it's, it's more of a feeling. It's more of a, it's more abstract. But I think once people get there, they realize that they are in fact there. So it's not, it's not as tangible. It's measuring. Yeah, I've lost so many pounds. I reached that goal. A spiritual goal or a spiritual awareness is something that, that takes time. And it's something that once you're there, you definitely know that you are, but it is a process, and that's what I help people with.
That's so beautiful. And I love that you take health beyond just the physical. And you really talk about, I mean, people get very overwhelmed by health and the pursuit of health in general, but also in the pursuit of life purpose. That can also be really heavy and daunting and just feeling so big to tackle. But my experience of you and your work is you also, when you're talking about life purpose, you're making it really simple. You're, you're Essentially saying, what if your health is your life purpose?
Exactly, exactly. I mean, for. Obviously, for a competitive athlete, you know, their purpose is to be at their. At the top of their game physically. But when you think about athletes, there's so much mental, there's so much emotion, there's so much spiritual involved in performing at the very highest level. So, yeah, it really is going to vary in, like, someone who's on stage, someone who's an actor, someone who's, you know, on newscaster, whatever. Whatever the job is, whatever you are, you know, you want to be your very best at that. So that does involve combining the physical health, the emotional health, the spiritual health, the mental health, all of that, to be the very best that you can be at whatever your. Your. Your job is or whatever you. You're pursuing.
Yeah.
And sometimes, you know, it can take some time to even realize this really is what I want to do. I mean, I'm going to be 64 next year, and here I am launching this new business. I mean, I've been a personal trainer for many, many, many years. I've been physically active for many, many years. But I've only recently realized this. This had been my. My true life's goal was to help people pursue to be, you know, to become the very best that they can. Thanks.
I love it.
Beyond, beyond just the physical, beyond just the personal training.
And what you're saying, I think, is so important because you don't have to be an athlete to be concerned with your health. The healthier you are, the better you are, and the more you can enjoy and just be who you want to be, doing what you want to do do. And what if we looked at the pursuit of our health from that angle? Right, that pursuing our health means we can be our best and experience life the way we want to and choose the way we want to. I've got so many medical professionals on my team over the years, and one of my doctors, his name is Dr. Kennedy, I love him. He and I did an episode of the Tougher Together Breakthrough podcast together that you can find anywhere that you listen to podcasts. But he had said to me, rebecca, we need to get you healthy so that you can, you know, be on these big stages. You can be in front of these audiences. You can experience giving all that you are meant to give. And I loved that. It just helps take the pressure off to think of health as the gateway to being more alive versus something to. To fix. Because you feel broken.
Exactly. Yes. I mean, you think about when you're. When you're not feeling well physically, what does that do to you emotionally? What does that do to you mentally? It brings you down. It definitely does. If you're, if you're in constant pain or you can't do the things that you want to do, you can't go on long trips because you can't. It's hard to get in and out of a car or you're aching all over. Your mobility is limited and there's things that you want to do that you just, you just feel physically that you can't. That's going to bring you down emotion. So what I like to do is work with people and get them to a state where they can feel better physically. And then it does translate to how you feel emotionally as well. So it's all connected. My mom used to say, if you have your health, you have everything. And I, you know, I believe that to be really, really true. So. And that's what I, and that's what I work with my clients on. We look at them individually, you know, where are you now? Where do you want to be in five years? And we break it down into little bits, bits and pieces, little goals, little victories and work towards that ultimate goal. So, yeah, I mean there's, there's so much of that connection between the physical and everything else, all aspects of your life. And that's what I think it's important realize and then to work on that. So, you know, you may be feeling down, but you're not exactly sure why. Oh yeah, I've had this chronic pain or this chronic backache. You know, it may not be major, but it certainly is affecting you. And it's going to affect you emotionally, spiritually too. You know, it's going to affect you all around.
Yeah. And you aren't just prescribing again, like here's what to eat and here's the exercises. Looking at what are the beliefs, what are the, what are the messages that you learned and keep playing out. What's the programming? Where are you emotionally? And as someone who's been dealing with chronic pain for seven plus years post cancer diagnosis, I can definitely affirm that if we leave our mental state and emotional state unattended in pursuit of physical health, it can derail the whole process. And you've got 48 plus years of experience. You're a personal trainer, you're a nutritionist, you're a multiply certified health coach. I mean, this is your life purpose. And one of the things that I respect so much about you, Richard, is you walk the walk like you're, you're not teaching what you're not living. And I think that's really rare and really special.
Well, thank you. Yeah, I mean, I've been physically active. I, I was fortunate to have parents that, you know, promoted physical activity. They were active themselves. And when I was growing up in school, you know, PE was taken very, very seriously. You know, in elementary school, we had two recesses and we played games. And in junior high, the, the PE teachers were ex drill sergeants, a lot of them. And then into high school, you know, I started becoming, I wanted to become an athlete. So I, my, my sport of choice is cross country and track. And then I continue to keep up the endurance training and road races, 5Ks, 10Ks. Even into college, and then even beyond that, when I couldn't be competitive anymore, I still maintained my activity. I did what I could do. I didn't run as much, but I did other activities. I, I started to, to lift weights and, you know, do just, just stay active the whole time. And that was my prescription to feeling good. I know, I know how much it made me feel better emotionally. If I had an injury, for example, that took me down, I wasn't able to do, you know, as much as I wanted to do, that brought me down emotionally and mentally. So, yeah, I mean, I'm became really well aware of how exercise and fitness affected me in all aspects of my life. So, yeah, well.
And you know, you're not cookie cutter. You're not saying, here's how to move. You're helping people connect to their own body so that they can connect to their own spirit, to figure out what type of activity is right for them. And it's different, right? Like, I've run three marathons. I won't probably do that again in this lifetime. In this season, for example, for me, Pilates, yoga, stretching, walking, that's what I do. I move every day, but I'm moving in the ways that feed my soul and honor my soul versus what I think I should do or what I wish I could do. I'm meeting myself where I am, and I'm able to access the truth of what feels good and right now and that spiritual wellness. So how do people connect to their body, their spirit's guidance of what would work for them now versus just what they think they should do or what. What other personal trainers or health professionals are telling them that they should do? Because that's another problem, right, that we face is we will listen to the outside opinion instead of connecting to our own Truth.
Yeah, you know, we might read something in a magazine. So it's a, it's an interview process where we, we look at all the different aspects. Where have you been? You know, what, what are you doing currently? And what, what is your current goal? What are your physical limitations right now? What are you able to do? And then we build on it from there. So for some people, yeah, I mean, some people, yeah, they can run 40 or 50 miles a week in there and their goal is to run America. Another person may have a goal where they want to just improve their, their body fat percentage or their, they want to build lean muscle mass or there may be people who even want to gain weight, people want to lose weight. So there's, there's so many goals out there. So it really needs to be tailored to the individual person's needs. And that's, and that's what I do. And I think a lot of trainers, they don't, they don't necessarily look at it that way. They might go with what the hottest trend is or, or assume that this is what somebody needs or this is what somebody wants without really asking them and finding out and digging just a little bit deeper to find out what is really going on, what is that person's history and where do they really want to be. So that's how I approach it.
So do you have a way to help our audience? If they're not in that interview with you right now or able to do that later, what can they do to connect to their own truth? Because you look at injury recovery, body image and weight loss, but you're looking at it from a place of we need to find what's going to feel good to help you build momentum so that you can get results. So how, how can you help them connect to the part of them that knows what's going to actually feel good and correct and right for them?
I would say just really take an inner, really look on the inside. You know, maybe just perhaps just do some meditation on it. You know, really, really do some introspection. You know, what do I really want to accomplish? You know? You know, where do I really want to go? And look at where you are now. Like I said, what are you doing currently? What are you able to do realistically? And then. And then just take it from there and then connect with what feels right, what feels good, what are you able to do within your current limitations that aren't going to set you back? You know, you don't want to. Obviously, you don't want to do too much and get an injury, but at the same time, you want to definitely do some movement, even if it's in a chair. I work with a lot of seniors and we just do chair fitness, and that's what they're able to do. They lift weights, they move. Some of them are even up into their 90s, and they know what their limitations are, and I work with them on that. So that's really what it comes down to. Look at where you are now, what you physically can do, and take it and baby steps. And that's what I work with people on.
Yeah. And for me, one of the ways that I've connected to the part of me that just knows, I call it my own inner healer, is to not resist what doesn't feel good. So I'm in the pursuit of what would feel good and what would feel better 100% of the time. But sometimes what I don't want to feel or what doesn't feel good is so loud that I can't access the. The answer or the what I would want instead. So I lean into the shame, the pain, the frustration, the emotions, the thoughts, the belief, beliefs that are wonky so that I can take the charge out of that and kind of break through the clouds, so to speak, to see what would be on the other side. And sometimes if it's so painful that there just is no clarity at all about what I would want instead, I just get really honest about, all right, what is happening that is painful, what is happening that I don't want. And sometimes I just have to even guess, okay, so I don't want this. What's an alternative? Yes, Even just a little bit better. But I give. I give validity and time and space to the real experience I'm having to make room for something new and different. And then it's just trial and error to get to the place where I've discovered, okay, here's what works for me.
Yes. Yes. And, you know, having been able to do different things at different times in your life, you know what's going to work for you now. You're very realistic about it. I think that's what a lot of people have to realize for themselves. Well, when I was 20 years younger, I could do. I could squat or I could bench press so much weight or I could run so many miles. And I'm just going to go out and do that now without even thinking that, yeah, my body has changed. I, you know, I. I can't quite handle what I used to handle. And then what happens? They get an injury and then they're sidelined, and then they get frustrated, and then they get discouraged and maybe not even pursue the exercise anymore. So that's just an example. So know realistically where you are currently and then take it from that. Maybe not. Don't look at it. Well, I used to be able to do this or, or whatever. Look at where you are currently and then take it from that spot. That's your new starting point. Where you are now is your new starting point and. And then work from there. And that's what I help people work with and recognize. So.
And your metrics are, how are you feeling mentally? How are you feeling physically? How are you feeling emotionally? How connected are you spiritually to the truth of who you are and to what's right for you now? And I just, I think it's a brilliant approach to health because for me, anyway, the more I pursue spiritual health, the less, for example, the number on the scale or the size of my genes or any of those old metrics that would determine how successful I am in terms of my health. I write about this in my book Coming Back to Life. A size 0, a size 16. I've been all over the place. And the more I pursue spiritual health, all of a sudden I'm down two pant sizes. All of a sudden I'm not having the chronic pain that I have had as a result of nerve damage for, from chemotherapy, for example. Like, all of a sudden, the pain is just different. The weight is coming off. It's not. I'm only okay once I arrive at this pant size number on the scale. It's. I'm okay now because I'm only pursuing what feels right to me now. And then the rest of it kind of falls into place.
Yeah, that's. That's exactly right. It's. It's love the skin you're in and, and love where you are now and, and realize. Yeah, yeah, I mean, I may not be able to be what I was, you know, in the past, but I can be the very best that I can be in the present, and that's, that's doing exactly what my body is telling me that I can do. And that's where part of the spiritual comes in there. You know, your body is going to let you know, you know, what, what can you do? And you're just going to realize that and then, and then work from that. So maybe it's just. Let's just take the physical, for example. You know, maybe all you can do is just some walking or, or maybe you need to ride a stationary bike. Or maybe you can't do much right now on your feet. Well, there's other things you can do. You can pool walk or you can, like I said, you can ride a bicycle stationary. So many different things. Movement is, is key. However it looks, movement is key. And that, that's how we, that's how I start with people. What movements are you able to do? Then? We take it to the nutrition part of it, the emotional part of it, then obviously graduate to the spiritual part too.
Yeah. So why is movement key on a spiritual level?
Well, I think once you're moving and you're, you're. Let's say you take a walk outside, you feel that your oneness then with, with nature and what's. What surrounds you. You know, you become part of your environment. You become part of everything that's. That surrounds you. You notice the beauty of the world. You notice the beauty that's in front of you. If you're breathing in the fresh air, it feels good. It's just such an emotionally and spiritually awakening experience. And that can be. Whether you're walking, it can be any activity, any motion. You're just going to start feeling that oneness with whatever.
I love that answer, Richard. Because we are so not alone, but especially when it comes to health, how often do we feel alone and movement connecting us back to life, humanity, nature, God, and using movement as a way to connect versus as a way to punish ourselves.
Exactly. Yes.
So profound what you're saying and so important.
Yes, yes. I mean, you know, there are a lot of people, you know, who had negative experiences with, with physical activity. You know, maybe they. That gym instructor, you know, shame their body. And those types of things did happen, you know, back, back in, in the days or they were, they were put down because they were heavy or whatever, whatever it is. So now they have a really negative feeling about movement and being healthy because that's their experience. And I, I work with people to get beyond that. There's no guilt, there's no shame. You Know, let's move forward. Let's. Let's put that in the past and, and deal with where you are now and. And love yourself. Love yourself for who you are, what you want to become, and I will take you on that path.
So how do people love themselves and their bodies specifically, you know, as it is, instead of how they think it should be?
Well, that's. That can be a difficult process because, you know, we were talking earlier about the blocks. You know, it's getting past those emotional blocks. So that's where you know, it really comes in that you need to look back at. You know, where did it start? Where did you. Where did you start to feel those. Those negative. Where did that negative talk start? And we go back to that. It's kind of like you've heard of the. The term breaking the chain. Well, there's a series of events that led up to you not feeling good about your. So let's go back and see where, where the source of that was and then put that to rest so you can feel good about yourself and then move forward. And I know that's a lot of work that you do too, working with people on the. So, you know, let's find what the source is, where to start. Maybe it did start way back in elementary school or. So let's look at it and work through it, work past it.
Yeah, well. And, you know, another big piece of this, I think, is it's just a decision. It's a commitment to love yourself and your body as you are now, as your body is now. And commitment is not conditional. The second there are conditions, it's not commitment. So you're in inviting us to commit to our health on a spiritual level. And as long as it requires, you know, until the past is different or until the external is different, I can't commit to my health as long as there are conditions. You're unable to love yourself and your body the way it is. And until it's unconditional and just because it's your birthright, like you, you deserve to experience health differently, differently. You. You deserve to experience your body differently. You deserve to experience yourself differently. If it's right now an experience that's painful or not the one you want to be having. So I just want to invite people to make a decision and be enough. And from there, I think once you've made the commitment, the unconditional commitment to your spiritual health, at least for me, it makes it easier to go back and look at. Okay, so what's the programming? Right. I experience Experienced so much sexual abuse, for example, very, very young, that, you know, warped my perception of my body and made it my body's fault. Anything that happened that I didn't like for so many years, including a cancer diagnosis. And then the truth is, it's not true that anything was my body's fault. It's just I didn't know how to cope. I didn't know how to make sense of what was going on. So it made it easier to blame my body. But without the commitment to spiritual health, at least for me, it makes it much more difficult to look back and transform the experience of the past.
Yeah, I mean, it definitely is a commitment. And like, like you were just saying, you know, there's so many external forces, you know, that affect people's, you know, how. How they look at physical health and all that. They've had some bad experiences, they've had some negative experiences. But realize that that's an external force. It's not coming from your internal, Your internal, your internal bind or soul. And any of that, what you want is way different from what you've heard from the outside forces. And guarantee that's the case with majority of people. Those blocks, though, those, those tapes that keep running in through their head, you can't do that. You're not capable of that. You'll never be size X, Y, Z, or, you know, whatever it is, you'll never be able to complete that 5K. You'll never be able to lift, bench press 50. You know, whatever it is, it's an external force that has caused them to not pursue or go forward, or in some cases, really not. Not do much of anything. Just feel kind of trapped. And where they are now, they just. They just feel that they can't go. So that's where the spiritual health journey helps them to realize that you can go forward. You can become what you want to be you. You can do it. Really, I mean, that's. That's really the bottom line of what I'm looking at, helping people.
Yeah, well, and not everybody had the modeling, for example, that you had, Richard. Right. Like health and wellness was valued. It was a priority. It was nurtured in your childhood. For people that did not have that experience. We're wanting them to hear, we want you to hear that you can create a new experience even if you didn't see it before. And your parents. Modeling is not something that needs to limit you.
Right.
I had one client that valued health so much, they were a medical professional, this client, and they were quite literally £400 and working in healthcare and as a practicing physician and had a private practice, but couldn't let themselves receive the experience they wanted to have for themselves of health. And we don't need to pigeonhole ourselves like that.
Right? Right. Yeah. You don't need to put yourself in a box and stay in that box.
Right.
It's time to come out and to, and to experience life to its fullest. Absolutely, yes.
And it's again, I think, a decision, courageous commitment, especially when you have zero proof it's going to work out. But if you won't pursue it, you guarantee you won't, you won't get there. Right. So I just love that conversation. So another big thing you talk about that I want to make sure we make some time for is diets don't work. So talk to us about that. Talk to us about why diets don't work. Richard.
Diets. Diets don't work because they're not custom tailored to individual person. That would be number one and number two, they're very restrictive. So let's look, first of all, the custom tailoring aspect. Each person is going to have a different need and a different want and a different goal. So, you know, let's just take for example, the person who has a goal of building muscle mass. Their diet is going to be entirely different. What they eat is going to be entirely different from the person who wants to run marathons or for the person who wants to lose weight or the person who wants to change their body composition. So diets in general are just very cookie kind of. They, they don't customize to that individual person's ease. Quite often they include foods that quite frankly, a lot of people just don't want to eat. You know, you know, it's either no carbs or no fat or all protein. In some cases, you actually need more carbs. I mean, if you want to, if you're a competitive athlete, you actually eat quite a few carbs. It's the type of carbs that you, you, that you need to get in. It's the, it's what to eat, when to eat and how to eat. So, and, and when I work with people, you know, I look at what, what is your goal? Is it a weight loss goal? Is it a strength goal? Whatever it is. And we come up with a plan. We look at foods that you actually like as real foods. It's not eating rice cakes all day long or it's not, you know, just purely cutting certain things out altogether. And, and that's another reason that Diets fail is because they restrict. They restrict a lot of foods away from. From what you can eat. And eventually you're just going to get tired of that and you're just going to go back to eating the way you did before. And quite often you'll gain the weight back and then eat and then some. So that's the main thing, is that they're not custom to each individual person. You know, like the Atkins diet. Let's take the Atkins diet. That's a really, really intense diet that was designed for the morbidly obese people who needed to lose weight now, right away, or they were literally on their death. It's not for the general public, but a lot of people took that as gospel, and you don't really hear about it much anymore because there were a lot of negative effects to it. So, you know, really, really look at what your, what your goals are. And nutrition is so important. So it has to be custom to what your goals are.
And I'm hearing it's got to be sustainable.
It's got to be sustainable, definitely, yeah. I mean, if you're restricting too much, you're not going to sustain that diet. You're not going to keep eating that way, you know, and there's also a lot of. A lot of guilt and shame, you know, of bad foods, good foods. I don't look at it that way. I look at it as healthier choices, different choices. So there's just a different way of looking at it, no shame involved.
Yeah, well, and for me, anyway, like, the spiritual guidance around what to eat makes it so sustainable because my body and my spirit and soul are literally directing me to the choice that I'm making versus just doing what I think I should do or my mind and my past programming trying to tell me what to do. So, you know, right now I drink a ton of bone broth. I want it. My body is craving it. It's telling me this is what you need, which makes it sustainable. And then if and when that changes, I will not resist and I will listen and trust that this is what my body needs now. But how do people start the path of spiritual health? How do they start and how do they stay on it?
Well, I mean, that's the one thing that I work with them on, you know, through. Through the discovery call process, we look at where you are and we. We give you a starting point. You know, where. Where do you feel right now, mentally, emotionally and spiritually? It's a subjective measurement. You know, it's. You can't Say, yeah, you know, like you can measure weight loss or something like that. It's very subjective. So through an interview process and just working with the person directly, we see where you are now when we look at where you want to be in that department.
So how do people get in touch with you to book a discovery call? And is there a charge to that? How does that work?
Network. There's a half hour discovery call. I call it an empowerment call. And there's no charge to that. And you can access that through my website at the spiritual health journey.com and there's, there's places there where you can, the tabs that you can touch, click on and you can, you can book your empowerment that way.
Okay, amazing. And then you also have a free group. Is that another way that people could start their journey and stay on their journey? Just joining your free Facebook group?
Yes. Yeah, that's the spiritual health journey. It's a Facebook group. Yeah, you can, you can join.
Great. So you can either book an empowerment call with Richard or join his group or just connect to the truth of where you are now, how you feel now, how you want to feel, and that will even get you started. You can also get in touch with me@rebecca silence.com if there is is more that you want to discuss, work on with me. But the bottom line is your health is your birthright. And what if you made your health, Even just for 2023, your purpose and your priority from a new angle, a spiritual one versus a punitive fear based one. Right? Like it's your right. And you have everything you need to experience your health in the way you've always imagined that you could, in the way that you desire. And you're not alone. And I have really loved this conversation with you, Richard, and thank you for sharing your almost 50 years of expertise here today and with your clients and audiences and the community. What are your final thoughts? What do you want to leave people with today?
I'd like to leave people with that. It's never too late to start. You can start. I have people that I work with that are 70s and 80s and they really hadn't exercised much before and they've, they've started at that point. So there's no, it's never too late to start and, and realize that you can put aside the past, what has held you back and that from this point going forward you can, you can only attain the very best that you can be and that that is something that is possible from any point in your life, wherever you are. Now, you can certainly improve upon that and I can be your guide for that.
