What Does It Mean to Be Inspired? When You Define Inspiration You Can Win at It!

A short motivational talk by Rebeccah Silence about defining and sustaining inspiration regardless of external results. She explains the name of her company Inspired Results, argues for decoupling worth from outcomes, and offers three practical steps (define inspiration, give up result-based worth, and collect small ‘inspiration hacks’) to stay committed toward meaningful goals.
Here today to talk about one of my favorite things. Inspiration and how do we stay inspired. How do we access inspiration regardless of circumstances and what's going on? And this is a topic I talk about a lot. But one of the things I don't usually share is why I named my business Inspired Results and what that means. So I thought I would start by just sharing that. So my company is Inspired Results and it's been around now for, for 13, 14 years and this coaching, practice and retreat company is ever evolving and expanding. And thank you all of you that have been along for the journey, along for the ride and or support my mission to help people heal those emotional wounds that feel impossible but aren't. And inspiration is one of the main components to get through hopelessness and to get through access to possibility when there just doesn't seem to be a solution or a way in sight. So originally when I named my company Inspired Results, I didn't exactly know why, but it became clear pretty fast. Inspired in spirit means connected to that highest version of yourself, regardless of results. So I'm not actually talking about creating inspiration results, contrary to what the name of the business might seem to mean. I am really teaching on a deep soul level. How do you stay in spirit connected to the version of you that you want to be connected to the highest version of you, even in the most dark, challenging and difficult times and moments. So that is what Inspired Results means, in spirit, regardless of results, and it is possible. So today I wanted to share three hacks for inspiration and easy access to inspiration, no matter where you find yourself, no matter the situation. I am just getting back home from a gorgeous women's retreat where I participated this last weekend in Sedalia, Colorado at a really cool place called Everland. It is a in the woods, no cell service, 140 acre art installation. Wonderland basically is where I just got back from and I did lots of breath work in Kundalini Yoga and connected to joy and pleasure and inspiration and all of who I am in a way that has me so fired up and lit up and filled up that it inspired me to do this live today. Because I think we believe in inspiration and we try and we do our best, but then we just get depleted and don't even realize that's happening sometimes. So how do we get inspiration back? How do we get our inspiration game up and the volume turned up on it? So the first thing is define what inspiration means to you. Get out a journal, get out a pen and write it down. What does inspiration mean to Me, the second thing is, and by the way, before I get into the second step, why define inspiration? Why define anything? Because if you don't define it, how do you win at it? If you don't know what inspiration means to you, how are you ever going to win at it? And it's not this vague ethereal concept. But so often when we think of inspiration, it's vague and ethereal and unwinnable. So you define it so you can win at it. And then the second piece is to give up, literally drop. Throw away the part of you that thinks that your results are what dictate your success, your value and your worth, and figure out how to connect to at least to start the possibility that you can be inspired even if the results haven't happened yet. I mean, what is so hard is staying committed when you haven't arrived at the result yet. And it is so hard to not just stay committed when you haven't arrived yet, but to stay inspired. And that inspired energy, that vibration of inspiration, it's delicious, it's gorgeous. And it is what attracts the level of life that you want, the results that you want. But sometimes it takes longer than we want it to take and it doesn't look like how we thought it would look or want it to look. So we give up on inspiration or we give up on that result that is so important to us and we don't have to do that. So know that the results are the results until they change. And you are guaranteed to arrive at the finish line that you are committed to arriving at if you don't lose inspiration and if you don't give up. There are certain goals that we do give up on because. Because it is just not the right one. That is not what I am talking about. I am talking about those dreams, those regrets that you have because you haven't gone for something important to you because you are afraid or you don't think it is possible, or you have lost inspiration. That is what I am talking about. Commit to those results with inspiration, with an unwillingness to give up, and you become magic, attractive and guaranteed success. But we think as long as we don't have the result, we are not successful yet. As long as we don't have the result, our worth is impacted, our value is impacted. I want you to learn how to stay in the game and how to stay committed through the fear, the tension and the seemingly things aren't going well moments, or it's too hard or I can't do it moments. So you got to give up the results, determining whether or not you can be inspired. And instead, choose inspiration and stay committed as long as it takes, whatever it takes, until you cross the finish line. And when I'm working with clients, they cross the finish line. And the third thing that is super, super, super important when it comes to inspiration is to know that even in these hardest, darkest, most challenging times, you have access to inspiration. Just find something. Find anything. Another great assignment is to make a list of 10 inspiration hacks. Candles, lipstick, journaling, art, hikes, nature, water, drinking your favorite tea or coffee or glass of wine. What inspires you that can keep you in a momentum and a flow. And in that gorgeous, inspired juju, while you're in the in between, know that you do have access to inspiration. Even when it's dark, even when it's hard, and even when it seems impossible. And you're going to feel so much better, so much more free. And that's my wish for you. It's Rebecca. Silence, creator of Healing is possible. If you want private support, visit rebeccasilence. Com.
