What is Alignment and How Do You Get There? EMBRACE + EVOLVE +TRANSCEND = ALIGNMENT

Rebeccah Silence talks with DEI specialist Precious Fuller about alignment as living in agreement with your values. Conflict signals misalignment. Fuller describes it as a moment-to-moment practice tied to psychological safety and leadership, requiring awareness, values-clarity, and belief-shifts to move back toward peace and freedom.

Thank you so much. I'm happy to be here.
I am thrilled to have you. So Precious, what do you believe about healing? What? What do you believe healing is? Let me ask you that first.
Healing. Wow. I have to take a deep breath because it's such a powerful word but it's because it's felt. There's experience and emotion around that. Healing is something we all long for, whether we know it or not. Who wants to be broken? So if we have a choice, if we have that kind of awareness, healing is something we all want and I say dare say it's something we all need because we've all experienced levels of if brokenness is too strong for some, I don't of the opposite of healing. We've not been healed. There are circumstances and situations that need to be healed in all of us and some of us are on that journey. So I just think it's a part of our human existence, the need for healing on this planet and there are ways we can achieve that. And so that is the good news. We do have hope and we have results when we do seek that and go through the process of healing.
Yeah and you know this idea of broken. Let's just talk about that for a second because one of the things I believe and first of all I think healing is unique. So for our audience, for our community and the healing is possible. Family. One of the keys is healing is unique. It is not cookie cutter and it is different for all of us. But I really believe that we aren't broken. Our hearts get broken and where we feel broken is where the opportunities to heal are. But we're never broken and I think that's part of the mission around alignment, is to get to that place where we're really aligned with recognizing and remembering how not broken we actually are.
Okay, cool. I'm weighing all of that. I receive the emotion around that. And I hear you. Because the point is, the problem is, as I'm taking it in, not so much with us, it's with the circumstances and what harm that has done in those spaces, but we can see ourselves separate from that. Am I correct?
This is why I want to talk about it, because I'm not trying to be right. I just think it's a problem. When people identify as broken, they are guaranteeing that they won't have a healing opportunity or experience. Right. If we. If we think we're broken, we're going to be right. And what I think is people's hearts get broken. Circumstances are what they are. I'm a trauma survivor on multiple levels. Everything from domestic violence, marriage, to cancer, and more. And so I'm not saying that we're not impacted by circumstance, and I'm not saying that we're not feeling how we feel. But if we think we're broken, we won't be able to get aligned with the best version of ourselves that we can be, even through challenging circumstances, even through trauma, even through the very real discrimination that happens for people.
I appreciate that. I'm seeing it as a verb. A verb and not a noun. It's an experience. There are things that happen. It's not who I am.
Right.
Yes.
And if we can only be aligned, if life goes the way we need it to, or if certain things didn't happen, then we're in trouble.
Yeah. Yeah. And alignment is so important to me because we don't have control of circumstances beyond our control. We do know we don't control other people. We can't control the weather. Those are just two big ones. So we are out of control of certain things, but that still have the capacity to impact us and impact us greatly. So it's a matter of what to do with that.
Yeah.
So when you're ready, we'll. We'll dive in.
I'm ready for you. Let's go.
Teach us.
Preach. Precious.
Let's go.
Yeah.
Alignment is all about positioning. And, you know, there's this saying where people say, you know, conflict is something that we all experience. You can't avoid it, but it's a reflection of being out of alignment. When there is conflict, something is out of alignment. And when that's just one of the byproducts that's how you are able to know. So it can serve as a warning. Conflict can serve as a warning. Something is off. When we have that awareness, we get to choose our response. But awareness is also key. That could be another topic all of its own. I used to think what made the difference between us, in some ways just people. I felt it had to do with circumstances. But in my evolution, I also am realizing that so much is our awareness because as humans, we have similarities, we have different experiences. But. But I think our level of not but. And our level of awareness is sometimes where we. We stray because we don't always have it. You can't change what you don't acknowledge. So that's. That's so good.
You should say that one more time.
Yeah, you can't change what you don't acknowledge. Yes, And I received that. I can't own it. I heard it, but I believe it. And I align with that. You cannot change what you don't acknowledge. So. So in alignment, it's about being in a position for things to work as they need to work for us, the parts that we can do. Since we don't control what we don't control what can we. And then alignment has to get to the core of what our true and highest values are. Because whatever they are, when we are aligned with them, we have certain results that come from that. And when we're out of alignment again, we're going to have certain guaranteed results. We have cognitive dissonance. We have struggle. Go ahead.
Yeah, well, I was just going to say just recapping. So conflict is absolutely a step towards alignment. Awareness is a step towards alignment. And then knowing what your values are so that you have the ability to be checking in with are your decisions, are your choices, is the way you're living actually contradicting or supportive of the values also gets you closer to alignment.
Well, and I will say, let me clear this up. The conflict is a warning. It's a signal that something is out of alignment. So there are times things happen and we see things and we can choose to remain as we are, or the people or the circumstances that we deal with, they can choose to remain as they are. So we are out of alignment in those settings. So now the choice is ours of what we need to do to get back in alignment. There are times we need to move around. There are times we might need to adjust our beliefs because there's a conflict there. There's some dissonance, there's some cognitive dissonance, and we have to sit with that first, I think sometimes we're in such a rush for life. I don't know where we're going so fast, but we're in such a rush that stopping and pausing, reflection and the growth and the insight that come from that, you just can't bypass that. So if you stop, if you pause, if you take it in and you allow the learning to come, if you allow positive choices to be the result, that's a choice. It's not one that everybody makes or at the same time. But that has nothing to do with us on a level. We've got to get centered and do that for ourselves and out of our abundance, then we can help others as they so choose, if that's what's needed at the time. But we have to spend that time. So when we have conflicts, that's a signal that something is out of alignment. And then we have a choice as to sit with that, deal with that, and determine how can do I want to get in alignment or do I want to struggle longer to make something else fit me? But if it's something I need to fit, if I'm out of tune, out of out of step with my values and beliefs, I'm not a victim here. I'm not helpless. What can I do to get my centering back?
Well, I love this, and I think, you know, you talking about the cognitive dissonance is really important. I just did a show on the Denver News a couple of weeks ago about limiting beliefs. And when you're saying, is there a belief that needs to change? I just want people to really hear that because so much of our beliefs are learned, so much of our beliefs came from survival. And then as adults, we're not saying, or at least I'm not saying, I'm not going to speak for precious, that the hard things didn't happen. They did. They are. And it's also about not just what are you going to do, but who do you want to be? And if a belief is no longer serving the life you want now, the level of leadership, service, and just humanity that we can be now for each other, we can shift our beliefs and it doesn't have to take long.
Yeah, I love that because that's power. Who do you want to be? We still have choice. Yes, we always have choice as long as we have breath. Who do I want to be? And I'm not bound by who I was, nor who I am if that's not where I want to stay, nor by the beliefs. That's what I'm saying. So those beliefs that have maybe served me to a point where I thought they did, I'm not bound to those. And when I gain more light, understanding, and then I have the drive to act on that, that's my choice. And that's the benefit of being able to make choices for ourselves. Since we don't control what we don't control, we have to learn and accept and appreciate what we do have control over. And whether our beliefs serve us and need to be altered or ditched, we get to determine that. And it's really a refreshing new way of life because what it's creating is alignment. Because prior to that, we have been out of alignment and it's evident due to those circumstances. But when we get to choose and we can change or adjust our beliefs as necessary because of who we decide we want to be, then we have the ability to do that. And getting in alignment has so many results. I'll say one of them is peace and harmony. Who doesn't love peace? I mean, yeah, how would you trade that? So when it, when it, when we speak about peace and harmony, it's the absence of conflict, it's the absence of struggle and fight. Now sometimes we have to have some of that to come to the terms of I need to make some adjustments. These beliefs may not be serving me for who I want to be and where I want to go. So I'm. I'm in a stage of power shifting. The things that were binding me, that had maybe power over me, I get to shift those. I can shake them off. I don't have to do that. So once I'm accepting that what I'm doing when I shift, moving in my, towards peace and harmony. Because to get peace is the absence of that conflict. So I don't have that now. You know, if I'm living in alignment with my, my values, I am in harmony. So alignment and harmony, those words that are in the same family, is you think of something that flows well together. Think of when people sing and they are harmonic and someone sings one part, someone else, another voice, sing soprano, alto, tenor, together. That's harmony. My what I bring, what someone else brings. You know, we're able to work together in harmony. So when it comes to aligning and peace, you are in harmony with your life. I'm who I am and these are things I deal with. And I'm in harmony with that because of the inside, because of the decisions, because of the beliefs that I'm not in dissonance with, I'm in agreement with. So sometimes if people were to ask us, you know, what do you believe? So what are your values? And if you think back to maybe what your parents have instilled in some instances, or you, you address what you've claimed or at some point, we're not always though living those. So when we are living those high values and beliefs, the results will be. That's one of the results of alignment. And I'll say too, I'll tie in my DEI space.
Let me ask you one, Let me ask you one question first. Can you hold that thought?
Let's.
Let's actually define alignment. And then I want to invite everyone watching to define it for yourself because I just heard a couple of definitions of alignment that I think are pretty cool from you. I heard you talk about alignment is agreement. When you're aligned, you're in full agreement with who you're being, what you're doing, how you're experiencing the world. I think alignment being agreement is a really cool way to look at alignment. And then I also heard you talking about when you're in alignment, there's a peace and harmony and a flow that is just ease. Maybe not easy, but ease. How would you define alignment?
I think you did a good job. And I also think of when you look it up, it has to do with an order. Often it's expressed in a linear term, but it's not about linear. But you can use an order to things. If things are in line, are in line or aligned, you don't think about disarray.
Yeah, I love your definitions. I think it's so cool to me when I think about alignment, I just think freedom. Alignment means freedom. There's no barrier, there's no obstacle in the way they might be here, but there's, there's an opening and there's freedom and ease. That's how I would define it. And I just want to invite everyone to define it for yourself too so that you can be determining for you. Am I in alignment? Am I out of alignment?
Awesome. And you're. You're funny. We're going to come back to your term later. Like you were looking at my notes. Come back to that.
I'm a little psychic witch.
That's why I was smiling. What I was saying too, as far as how we live here, we share this planet together and what stands for me, let's say with being in America and people are about God and country, country and God. Whatever order they have or country we have. And we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal. And I love the self evident part because things that are self evident, it's not about proving it, it's aligning with the truth. Now whether you do it or not, that's something else.
Oh, that's so good.
The truth is not new. We don't create truth, we get to align with it. We hold these truths to be self evident, that all are created equal. So that's the truth that didn't start because someone said it. It was already in place. And it's up to us to align or not. When we align, we get the benefits. And the first one that I've already talked about is we have peace and harmony. When we're out of alignment, we will not have that peace and harmony. Period, point blank. In the end, if they promote, you know, as a country, different ones that are very strong or they have some religiousness and they believe, let's say Galate in the Bible. So Galatians 3:28, there's neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, male nor female. For we are all one in Christ. Again, that's alignment. So the core principles that we stand on as far as in Word now deed, that's up to us. That's another talk. But in word it's acknowledging that. My point is when we are aligned with our real, the values that we profess, the results will tell on themselves. When we're not in alignment, it doesn't matter what you say, you believe if you're not living, that you're out of alignment. There is misalignment somewhere, some way with you, with your environment. It's just, it's like what goes up, comes down. It's established already. It's an established truth. And what's true is not new because we don't create truth. Who do we think we are? We don't create truth. We are beings, ourselves. And you know, there's some humility that can come with that, there's some awe that can come with that, there's appreciation that can come with that. And when we give that to ourselves and to others, that's a shared experience. So there can be no highs and lows as far as some are better, some are worse. There's a hierarchy that's created, that's foolishness and that's based on misinformation. The truth as we have professed, as far as what our country has stood on according to Word is already that it's self evident that we all, we're created equal. That means we all got here the same way. Whatever people's Beliefs are as to how we came on the scene. We all got here the same way. That being said, when we have the true peace and not just the absence of conflict, but when we have peace because we are in alignment and we're not going along to get along, we are with one another in truth. Truth is power. And if we stay there, the results just unfortunate. We tend to do our own thing because of some other issues, but it's still a reflection of us being out of alignment. Because when we are, it's a byproduct. When we have the benefits, we're in peace, we're in harmony. But I wanted to go ahead and my next point, because there are three that we have is freedom in a state of freedom. Because learning to manage our, our mental state, making sure that we're not allowing external circumstances to impact it, because they can. External things are happening all the time. There's chaos out there. But my special word, equanimity, that is not allowing the chaos from the outside to dictate and determine the peace and the composure and the calm on the inside. When you have that, you have freedom. No matter where you are, you have freedom because from the inside. If it's from the inside, that means it wasn't created by external circumstances. So it can't be dictated by external circumstances. If it didn't come from the world, the world can't take it away. And so when you have that freedom, it's again, it's one of the other byproducts of being in alignment. You're not fighting, there's not conflict, there's not dissonance, cognitive dissonance. You are in alignment with truth, which again, we didn't create, but we have the privilege and the freedom to align with it. And when doing so, one of the results is freedom. You're living in a state of freedom. The opposite of that is captivity. Are we captive by our thoughts? Are we captive by other people, institutions, systems? We don't have control over some things, those systems and certain environments that can impact us. So we don't have that control. But no one can take the peaceful state that we can carry with us. As long as our brains work, we're able to breathe. No one can take that away. If we have learned how to manage that. It can be a lifelong process. But it's so worth the journey because people are, a lot of times, you know, they're running kind of batty, Things are happening. People are fearful, they're afraid, they're anxious. Who wants that?
Reactive.
Yes. And so when you know that you don't have to live that way, you can carry your freedom with you. There again, I say, or ask for myself. Who wouldn't want that? But anyway, I'm a pause. Anything you need to recap or question.
Well, precious, this is so. This is so good. I just want people to get a little bit of a feel for you. I know you have one more peace, and we'll get to that. But I also want, if you'd be willing to just share a little bit about, you know, who you are and how you got there and how you're living, what you're saying. You talked about that earlier. If you're not living what you teach, what you preach, what you believe, then you're out of alignment. One of the things I really respect about you is you're a mom. You've been working for other people, learning for a lifetime, and now you've taken your mission to the whole next level. So just give people a feel for who you are and how you live what you're teaching us today.
Okay, Well, I am a human being. That goes without saying. I would say I'm regular, but I'm also so non regular, you know, because we're all unique. And so I own that. I claim that I live in my power and it's a. It's a daily choice and decision. So I appreciate you mentioning I've lived and worked for others. I'm a wife, I'm a mom. And here's the deal, the regular part, I'm not exempt from life's happenings either. And I'm living those things. I'm living in situations and circumstances that, you know, if I had a wand to wave, I would. And things would be different, but they're not. And I'm choosing to keep my peace. I have perfect opportunity. I can even look at it in a way of gratitude that the circumstances I have, they are helping refine me. Because if I didn't have those experiences, how would I truly be able to develop and promote through my own life what it is that I'm speaking on? So, yes, I am. I'm a social preneur. So I'm one who. I look out and I see things because I'm a. I'm a HSP as well. If you're familiar, the highly sensitive people and empaths, all that good stuff. Well, I'm impacted. And with that impact, I feel responsibility as to, how can I do this? How can I help? Where can I be shared and help support others? And that's why I'm happy to be a part with you right now and in your space and healing. Because I feel like we're all on the same team. Anytime you're wanting to edify and uplift humanity, support one another, I think we're all on the same team. And whatever angles we come from, how great is that? Because we're all coming from the same motivation. So I am a part of that. So when things have happened and they've been happening and the impact I feel like is what has been able to be used for fuel to help get me going to do things about that now, that's in life, period. Because I'm always in support of whatever I see and I'm able to impact in a positive way. I can't be quiet or I can't be silenced. That doesn't always mean you're speaking either. It means that you're in motion. Your mind is about what can be done. Because for me it's all about the relational aspect. So my, my organization, Equanimity Partners International, my, my motto, my theme is all about embracing change, evolving consciousness and transcending paradigms. Change happens, it's going to happen. But as we choose to embrace it, we get to shift some of it. Since it's going to happen anyway, why not be on the forefront as opposed to be dragging, kicking and screaming Now I don't want to go into this future, into life, into life and there. So I believe in embracing the positive changes and as they happen, we get to help shift some of that, shift some of the outcomes as we're on the forefront. And when you evolve consciousness, it's not just enough for information to be there. What's our relationship with it? How do we value what is and is not truth? What is our system for that? And I know when I use that word truth, it's a powerful word and it can be controversial for some and people think, but what about your truth? My truth? There are some things that I believe are universal.
I love it.
Such as what I just said, the truths that are to be self evident. We share this planet together. How are you just going to pick a pecking order? And you created that, that wasn't truth because you created it. Because remember, we don't create truth. It's already there. We get to align with it. So anytime people come up with their own way outside of truth, get ready some way, somehow some harm will be done. And then the last one, transcending paradigms as we al. As we embrace the positive changes and Support truth in all of its form. My goodness, my goodness. What a person, what a world. Because it's just to infinity. So yes, it's all about those breakthroughs, it's all about those AHAs. But they don't come by themselves. They come as a result of doing those things, embracing change, evolving consciousness, and then transcending those paradigms. And alignment is definitely one of those pieces. It helps us on that step, on that journey, that process.
Thank you, precious. And what is. You had a third piece that you wanted to share?
Yes. The third one is love and safety. When we are in alignment, we create environments that are about love and safety. And we, the things, the people, the environments that we love, we are protective of it, we want to preserve it, we want to preserve them. And so there's a safety that's created. So when you have spaces of safety, there's love, because that's the foundational principle for it. And when you have, let's say, psychological safety in the workplace, somebody has the decency to create a culture, a system in that environment where they actually care about their employees, they actually care about their co workers. There's care, there's love, there's concern, and it creates safety. So psychological safety, that's a word that you know, a term that people are dealing with today. You are safe enough to share who you are and your gifts and talents in your workspace. You're not afraid that you're going to be cut down and dismissed because if so, you won't share it and they don't get the benefit of your light and some of your beauty and your offerings. But psychological safety is needed for healthy, innovative, sustainable, positive environments.
I want to talk about this a little bit because one of the things that I'm a little controversial around when it comes to safety is I just want to challenge people to understand you may never find the evidence that it's safe enough to lead in your power and to risk it outside of you. You can decide to be aligned with you being safe within yourself, to know that you have what it takes to find that peace, harm and freedom to risk it. Or yes, we could do a better job in our workspaces with our teams and our communities and our families of wanting to allow people to be who they fully are, supporting them in that. But we can also, as adults, not only get aligned because we decide to, but we can also know that we're safe enough to go here because it's not necessarily you in your power aligned with being this best version of you that's taking risks, going to always be received. Well, do it anyway.
Yeah, yeah. There are some things we don't get from others, but that we give to ourselves and then we give to others. Think about those and do that again.
That's really good.
There are things that we don't get from others that we have to give to ourselves. And when we do, we are then able to give that to others. Like, you create what it is you want, you create what it is you need, because you're not always asking and waiting permission for someone to give that to you. So, absolutely, this is an internal journey. This is a personal one. And the results are it benefits everyone around us, but it's definitely a personal one. And there are times we're not in safe external environments because again, that part is out of our control, but we give ourselves the parts we can on the inside. So psychological safety was just one of the points I was mentioning. There's the safety of being able to be able to share your points, your thoughts and opinions without judgment, without being shut down. Because if not, people tend to not share. One of the basic rules they talk about, even let's say in kindergarten, is raise your hand to speak, you wait your turn. All of that creates safety. Because I feel safe, I feel respected, and I learned how to do the same in return. And then you think about safety within a family unit. There are times people have choices. So, you know, children, however we view what age they are able to be very concrete or particular about the choices they make. But we can create environments where it's less likely for lying to take place, because when they feel like they will be treated with the respect needed, even if they've messed up, they are more inclined to be honest and share because their head is not going to get taken off. You know, that's an exaggeration, but we are going to respond to them appropriately. If they don't have that safety, I don't even have to tell you there are all kinds of results. There are all kinds of harm that come from family units. And it's not just for children. If we don't feel safe, period, we do mess up. Being human, what? To err is human, to forgive is divine. So we do err. However, when we are safe enough, because our people, our circumstances have been based and built on love, we have the ability to overcome that. That's not the last word. That's not the last say so. Yes, safety is necessary for growth and development. It's something that we have to give ourselves. This is an example I was going to say there are times people speaking of the family union have not had the parenting that they needed. They have not had the mother or the father or the circumstances or the safety. But when they've been able to go through their changes and have been able to acquire that, they get to give it out. So I'm saying it doesn't mean we've always gotten what we needed. I mean, that's the basis of living here. There are circumstances that are very far less than perfect. However, when we are intentional about our growth and development, our healing, our aligning with the truth, then we as a byproduct, are able to share that out. So again, you're giving someone what you didn't get. You've gotten it in some level now maybe, but not when you needed it. Like what you're presenting for someone else now. So we don't just say, well, I didn't get it, so too bad. Each his own. You got to figure it out.
Yeah.
A product of me getting it is, I cannot keep this to myself. It cannot stay here. How does love stay bottled up? It cannot. And so it has to be shared. And as a result of that, you create a different environment and one built on love. A byproduct of that is safety.
This is so good, Precious. And I am really hearing, and I hope everyone else is hearing that when we are intentional around creating an experience, experience of peace and harmony and freedom and love and safety for and within ourselves. It's interesting because we can start within ourselves and then not only do we model that as a possibility for others and have the opportunity and the responsibility, you're worried to give that out and be that example for others. But I think, you know, this responsibility piece is huge in so many ways. But it starts with us within ourselves. Then we get to be that for others, and then they be that for others. And then the ripple just is astronomical, infinite and. And we're never going to know. And I think, I think we should end, Precious, just talking about, you know, we won't ever know the impact we're actually having, but we can do our best to be intentional from this place of mature alignment that is love based, that is a commitment. And that makes so much difference that we might never even know. We might not get the validation, but do it anyway. And you're doing that, Precious. I mean, you're risking your. You got four kids, right? Three, three, three, three kids. I mean, multiple kids. And you're doing it. And your impact matters. You're an inspiration. I think Today is such an important conversation and my only, my final thought. And then I'm going to ask Precious for hers on alignment that I don't think we spoke about. You know, it's not like a destination that you get to and you like. We have to be intentional around alignment. Moment to moment, moment to moment, moment to moment. And when we are and when we're willing to just stay in it and not get complacent again, we have no idea the ripple.
Absolutely. And that's part of the joy of it. And I'll add this, this is just on my part, lest I sound ignorant, I mean arrogant in the theme of it's about us and we have so much to give everyone else. Others are doing the same thing and they have poured into us in some way, shape or form. And we get to receive that. Though when we're willing to align, there are times good things are happening around us all the time. But if we're focused on self, if we're caught up in something else, if we have unhelpful beliefs, we're not able to receive the good that is surrounding us. It's there, but we're not able to receive. So when we are able to receive, we didn't get here on our own. Anything we have that's good. We have been supported in some way by somebody and we're celebrating that too. Again, we're on the same team. It's not like I'm the team captain and other people have to join what I'm a part of and I'm sharing out what mine is, I'm a part of the same. Because truth, since it's not new, it's not created, it's happening on this side of the world, it's happening on the other side, the top and the under. There are people who are aligned with truth. And so the results are we're all doing the same thing in a different language, in different spaces. We have different ways of getting there, but we're all doing the same thing. So I just want to know that I'm a part of that movement, a part of the truth, a part of the love, a part of the power that is human and that is divine and caring for one another and moving in those spaces. So you said we can't measure it? Oh, we absolutely can't measure it. I'll just. I shared this before in other settings and it's just amazing how this person has impacted me. We have some grocery stores in our area, one chain of which they carry your groceries to the Car. You know, they push the cart to the car and they put them in the car for you. Anyway, it's really nice. Well, one day I went into this particular grocery store, and it had just started drizzling, and I didn't have an umbrella, but I'm like, I'm just going to run in and run out, and it's not heavy. No biggie. No biggie. So I went in there, sure enough, and I got what I needed, and I was on my way out. I didn't need a cart. And I'm walking briskly to my car. I wasn't running, but I was walking briskly. And I see out of the corner of my eye a gentleman coming my direction out of the store also. So I'm steady walking and he's steady walking. And it's obvious, the angle, the way I'm going and the angle he's coming at his speed. There's going to be a collision in a moment if one of us doesn't either speed up or slow down. Okay, Well, I didn't have the desire to do either one because I'm like, surely he sees me. And so, you know, I was fine. I kept walking. He did, too. He was running up to me. He worked from the store with a great big umbrella because I didn't have one. He was helping me get to my car because that was part of the hospitality of the store. It was the store's umbrella. And he's, oh, yeah, you know, I'm just helping you. I'm like, well, thanks. And I've seen him before because he's helped me with my groceries. And the point is, and there was no ulterior motive, because as soon as I got to my car, he pivoted and he was on another car helping somebody else get out of her car because of the drizzle. My point is, he doesn't know that I'm talking about him today. The job he had chosen, taking them to cars. He's not getting paid some astronomical amount for that. He just cared enough and was happy for his job. It's like he woke up every day happy. That's whenever I've seen him. He's amazing. And every time I see him, I'm kind of looking for him out the corner of my eye and thinking, man, that dude, I really. He doesn't know how I appreciate him and how he can make so many people smile just by the way he lives. He has no idea I'm talking about him today. I don't even know his name. So, no, we cannot measure the value that we are to other people when we care enough, when we're aligned with the truth that each person matters. I just mattered because I was a human being walking through the rain and I didn't have an umbrella. He's like, I got to fix that. And he had a way to do so, and he was rushing to get to me to do that, and then he proceeded to do the same for someone else. My point is, no, we can't measure it. And I'm so happy we can't because if we measured it, it would limit the amount. But when you cannot measure it, there is no. There's no final. It can catch and carry as far and wide as life will take it. So I'm grateful for that and I'm grateful to be a part of this process.
