It's a game changer. Did you know that amazing Riesling is made in Ontario? Today's wine is the Vineland Estates game changer Riesling. This comes from their St Urban vineyard. Now, Riesling, as a grape, likes a couple of different things. It loves to have a bit of sunshine, it likes to have a hill, and it also likes limestone. All of which are the things that are in this vineyard, which is nicely on the bottle. Now, what makes this wine a game changer? I'm pretty sure it's a game changer because it will change your mind about Riesling. So let's taste this wine together. It's a limestone rich vineyard. It's a historic viney. And Vineland Estates is an amazing cool climate wine maker. It's also on the Niagara escarpments. We get sunshine with this as well. In terms of the wine itself, I love those lime and lemon concentrate notes in there. There's a touch of peach skin, a little bit of white peach flesh as well. You get this beautiful minerality. It honestly kind of smells like a really fancy mineral water with all of those other flavor aromas as well. Now onto the palate. See, this is what I like about Riesling. No matter what, you're going to get vibrant acidity. It is going to be so vibrant and it's going to make your mouth water. When you have a little bit of residual sugar, just like this wine has, it really does kind of match up to it so well. You get this combination of sweet and acidity that comes together. It cancels out the sweetness and it cancels out the acidity, making this beautiful wine that is absolutely gorgeous on both sides. It has vibrancy, it has elegance, it has tons of structure.
