Sorry I'm late.
Oh, that's okay. You're always late, Maddie.
I know. Sorry.
What can I get you two young ladies?
Oh, my God, I'm so hungry. I haven't eaten since lunch. I could eat a cow.
Actually, I think I will.
Can I have a bacon double cheeseburger on the rare side, extra bloody. Oh, and some well done fries? Oh, my calories are calories.
Yes.
I mean, I'm actually on a detox, so I'll take the crudite, but hold on. The dressing, please. Oh, are the veggies organic?
Yeah, of course they are.
Great.
So healthy.
Yeah, well, you're gonna need a colon blow detox after that meal, Maddie.
And to drink?
I'll have a margarita on the rocks, please.
It's extra salt.
I love that sugar and salt combo. Oh, make it a double, please. It's been a hard day and I hate my job.
I just.
Oh, Maddie. Breathe, Maddie.
And you. Let me guess. Club soda with an organic lime?
You got it.
You know, festival.
Yeah.
Do you come here a lot?
Madison?
Hi, Mr. Duddy.
Hello, Jenny. So I see you're still here. So, you know we have an important meeting tomorrow, all right. And can't have you late again. All right, well, good night. Very well.
Good night, Mrs. Duddy.
Seem to. Let's go.
Another?
Well, I'm good, actually.
Oh, come on. You know that they say it's healthy to have two a day.
Well, I don't think they meant two doubles a day, Maddie. And you know that research probably comes from the Bartenders association of America.
Okay, well, I'll make this a single then. I have an important meeting tomorrow morning anyway.
You shouldn't stay at a job that you hate. You should find out what you love to do, what makes you passionate, and then go out and do it.
Yeah, there's not any money in teaching, though. I'll exercise when I have more free time, Joby. Mine said that yesterday and the day before that.
Oh, my poor baby. Oh. Oh, no.
Don't worry, Joby. As soon as mommy's paycheck comes in, we'll get you to the vet and take care of that nasty old tumor.
There's one more episode. I better get to bed. Joby, I have that important meeting tomorrow.
And I can't lose this job because I have to get that surgery.
Yeah.
Time for bed.
Time for bed.
Alex, lights on. Alex, turn the temperature to 75 degrees.
Sleeping pill temperature is now 75 degrees.
Sam.
Oh, my God. No.
Sam.
Why did I eat all that crap? Why did I have Those drinks. Why did I go to bed so late? Oh, it's boiling in here. Madison, is everything okay? Mr. Duty?
It's Duddy. Mr. Duddy, this is the third time you're late to work this week. Your clients are saying you're not even responding to them in a timely manner. You're always low energy at all of our meetings.
And look at you.
You're always fatigued. Madison, I'm free. I'm gonna have to let you go.
But I stayed until 7:00 on Tuesday, Mr. Duty. Duddy.
Because you were late Tuesday and on Monday and you're late today. Madison, go and clean your desk out. I'm gonna have security escort you out in about 30 minutes.
Oh, my dog.
Maddie, what's wrong?
I just got fired and I'm so tired. I don't know what to do. And my dog's gonna die from that nasty old tumor because I can't afford to get the surgery.
Oh.
Breathe, Maddie. No, he's not. You're gonna figure this out. Think of this as a crisotunity. See the opportunity in the crisis. You hated this job anyway. Maddie, look, I'm going to this health and energy seminar tonight. You should come. I've been going since last year. It transformed my life. I have more energy than I ever dreamed of and. Let me forward you the invite right now.
I'm so lucky to have a supportive friend like you, Jenny. I think this is what I really need right now.
Maddie.
Health. Some subcategories are. Exercise, nutrition, rest, sleep, stress management, detoxification. Think about the subcategories within the main categories. When we're setting goals, that's what we want to think about. If you're just doing a goal for health, that's not going to be that much use.
So.
Family, significant other.
I love you, Darby.
I had such an amazing time at the seminar. I learned so many great things, but knowledge doesn't apply itself. I'm going to do it. And it's going to transform my life. Well, our lives. Yeah. And the best part is I met this amazing woman that offered me a job right on the spot, starting tomorrow. And it's doing what I love. Teaching.
And the pay isn't bad. You may have to go on a detox yourself.
Maybe a fast. My chubby little lover boy.
Yeah.
Hey, I got here.
Good boy.
Time to go to sleep.
Wi fi off. Do not disturb on. Alex, set the temperature to 65 degrees.
Temperature is now 65 degrees.
Alex, lights off.
Aruta is the breath of life. Aru is the inhale. Ta is the exhale. Aru is pure oxygen, the fuel of life. Ta is the relaxing root, release of all tension. Aru is the idea, the creativity. Ta is the expression of that idea. Now, when you breathe in, say silently to yourself, aru. And then on the out breath, say, ta. Aru.
T. Thank you.
Got to go to work.
Madison, can you come in and see me? Thank you. Madison, the reason I called you in here today was to let you know that I am extremely impressed with your performance. Clients love your high energy, and your charisma is amazing. So I've decided to give you a promotion and a 50% raise.
What?
Really?
But it's only been three days.
If only everyone could do as well as you on their third day. Madison, congratulations. You deserve this.
Thank you.
Sam.
