Rich Bello recounts his upbringing in extreme financial hardship (welfare, food stamps) and explains that his early goal was to 'save' his family by making money. That drive evolved into a broader mission: pursuing peak personal performance and teaching others to reach top levels of performance through his work at Arootah.

I come from a very, very humble roots. My family was welfare, food stamps. We were broke. So I wanted to save my family, basically. So I knew I had to make money. That was my inclination to do that and to help everybody. And then I quickly learned that you actually couldn't save everybody in doing that. But it led me to a place where I'm at right now, where I get to do what I love to do, which is peak performance for myself. I learned early on that if I wanted to be at the top level of my game, that I needed to teach other people to be at the top levels of their game. So that's what we're doing at a rooftop.
