This is a YouTube video titled "Simple way to create content that consistently drives massive engagement.." featuring Rich Schefren sharing insights on writing and content creation strategies to reduce mental resistance and increase audience engagement, recorded in October 2024.
I remember when I started writing, like, slice of life emails, sometimes the email was one paragraph, sometimes it was a page and a half, sometimes it takes me 30 seconds to read it, sometimes it takes me 6 minutes to read it. But because I don't know how long it's going to be, there's less mental resistance to opening it. And so it's the same, I'd say, with content. Right. If it's always just about, like, what it is you do, you become very predictable. And. And when people are quote, unquote, not in the mood to hear that type of message, then they just scroll past. But if you're constantly talking about different stuff, then the likelihood that you get that click and people stop is just higher because they don't know what you're going to say.
