This is a YouTube video titled "We let someone go the other day #entrepreneur #businessowner #karma" containing a monologue by Rich Schefren recorded on December 13, 2023. In this content, Rich Schefren reflects on the experience of letting an employee go, emphasizing integrity, reputation, and the importance of treating people well even in difficult business decisions.

We let someone go the other day, and Matt was saying it just wasn't right for what the position was with this person, but we might want to hire him back at some point, whatever. And I was like, okay. I'm like, can I help him? Do we need to help him? Does he need me to get him another job? And why would I do that? Because that person came into my world, and I want anyone who comes into my world to leave feeling better off that they came into my world. We keep our side of the street clean. It doesn't matter what's going on on their side of the street. We keep our side of the street clean. Like, we always live up to what we say. Right. The way I am turned out to really work in my favor and therefore illuminate a path of how to build a reputation that precedes you.
