This is a YouTube video titled "You’re Not the Customer. You’re the Product." featuring Rich Schefren discussing concerns about Google's data collection practices and algorithm manipulation, recorded in May 2025.
The Wall Street Journal just released an article that said Google claims that they don't adjust their algorithms for their own benefit. Not true. They've been caught, like, 50 state attorneys. I don't think we're surprised by that. If you used a MasterCard, Google knows what you bought. That's creepy. It knows every email. If you use Gmail, it knows what you watch on video. If you use YouTube, it knows the searches that you would never want anyone to know. And that's not enough. They're buying a ridiculous amount of data as well.
