What's up everybody? Welcome back to this episode of the 15 Minute Mentor where I bring you on my morning drive and we spend 15 minutes together where I can hopefully be your 15 minute mentor. In today's video, I'm going to be sharing with you about all the number of businesses that I have started in the past decade or so. Which ones worked, which ones didn't. And then at the end of the video, I'm going to be sharing with you the best business that I started, the best business that I recommend that people should start. Going through all the stuff that I've gone through, learning all the stuff that I've learned, all the mistakes I've made and why that specific kind of business is the best one that you should start or consider starting as well. Let's get into it. All right guys. So many of you guys and gals may or may not know this. So I started my first business when I was 15 years old with my friend, I'm from Vegas and we started a business and it was hilarious. It was called something like Global Explosion Impact, something like a 15 year old. But name a business and it was hilarious. We didn't really make any money. We, we started it just to, to join an mlm, actually a multi level marketing business at the time it, all of it was hilarious. But a lot of people don't know this but you know, even though I've been a worship leader, a missionary for 25 years, 79 nations all over the globe, blah blah, blah, I've been a businessman the whole entire time. I've, I've always had business in my blood. I don't come from a line of entrepreneurs but I've always had a love passion for business even since the wee young age of being a teenager, you know, 14, 15 years old. And so even though I started my first business then at 15, I've always kind of hustled and stuff. Even in the worship days, I always had some kind of hustle going on on the side. Little things, you know, just flipping, you know, a thing here and selling a thing there, whatever. But about a decade ago, under a decade ago, about nine years ago is when I got really serious. Me and my wife got really ser about business, about becoming entrepreneurs. And it's funny to me because the whole time that I was releasing albums and records, I say the whole time for, you know, a lot of the time that I was releasing worship and albums and records and hosting conferences and putting out worship, people were, you know, like encountering God through our worship and stuff. Though for a majority of that time, I was also building businesses behind the scenes. So it's funny to me now that people are like, you switched it up and like, you know, you left your first love, all that funny stuff. Well, I've been doing it the whole time. I just didn't post about it. I just didn't tell you about it. Right. So, anyway, so business has been, you know, in my history for a long time. My wife's dad is actually an entrepreneur as well, business owner. And so both of us kind of had a little bit of a knack for it since the beginning. So 10 years ago, we launched our first business, like, in the marketplace, right. That was outside of ministry or missions or worship. And, you know, and it wasn't just like a little flip something here or sell something online there. It was more. It was an actual business. And our first business was a digital marketing agency. And it was interesting. So I started getting into marketing and learning about marketing and the digital marketing space from a gal named Sandy Krakowski years ago, almost 10 years ago, and I joined one of her programs. I put out a video about this. You know, she was one of the first kind of business business mentors I had way back in the day and learned a lot from her. So I started kind of learning about, you know, marketing and digital and the online space then. And then I joined a more significant program by a guy named Tai Lopez, and, you know, a lot of the stuff that they were teaching because it's 10 years ago and it's digital in the marketing space, some of it's kind of outdated now because the. The digital space changes so much. But at the time, it was really cutting edge. And Ty, in that program that I joined with Tai Lope, I learned how to start a digital marketing agency. I was like, this is crazy. Learned, you know, some digital marketing skills from Sandy, then got some stuff from Ty, started building my own brand. And I was like, wow, this is actually working pretty cool. And so what I did is I began to build my own brand and do some kind of social proof on myself, like, okay, let's make sure this works. And then I started reaching out to businesses, you know, like dentists and doctors and lawyers and local bakeries and, you know, gyms and all these things, and just started selling my services. Yo, I can help you grow online. Here's what I've done for myself. Let me know. And very quickly, that business grew in the first six months we made.
Hey, I really hope that you're enjoying the video. I want to Invite you guys. I have recently created a free training teaching people how to make money online. My students are literally making anywhere from five to $10,000 a month and some of them even make hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not in a year, but in a sing. If you want more information on how you can get started, all you need is a phone and a laptop. You can go to digital productacademy.org or you can click the link below in the description. Guys, after you watch the free training, if it sounds like it might be something cool for you to check out, you can book a free call with one of my client success coaches and they'll be able to help you more. Now back to the video.
$900,000 in the first six months because it was just, it was like the right opportunity at the right time and then just, you know, God's favor on our. And it was like, it was like, wow, this is amazing. Like business is pretty cool. And of course, you know, I tell the highlight of like we made 900k in six months, which we did, but there were a lot of ups and downs, got punched in the face a lot. Not literally, but you know, financially, just all the hurdles that business brings. I had an employee, still a ton of money, hundreds of thousands of dollars from me because I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know, I didn't know how to do it right. I was just doing it. And so we learned a. I got tired of the digital marketing space. Well, not digital marketing, but I got tired of the ad agency, the marketing agency. Because a lot of it was like one on one coaching. So my services were like, I'll blow up your social media for you, we'll write your email campaigns, we'll run your ads, we'll do all your, you know, we'll basically just be your marketing for your business. But with that, on my higher level packages I would also offer weekly consulting, like one on one consulting. And more people took that, that package. You know, it's more expensive. I think it got up to like 10 grand a month. And I had a number of those clients but I really didn't like the one on one coaching with like all these different clients. Right. Like we had a bunch of clients and my whole entire day was just coaching people non stop, one on one on the phone. And I love coaching people, I love helping people. But I do it more so in groups now except for my top, top level clients, $100,000 plus that they pay me. So at the time I was just getting Worn out because while I'm coaching them one on one on the phone, all day, every day, I'm also trying to build my business, run my business, you know, and be a husband and a father and just all the, all the hurdles that come with being an entrepreneur. So anyways, from that we took a number of the profits that we made from that business. We did that business for a few years and it was pretty great. Just kind of wore me out because I was the bottleneck. I was the guy doing all of it, right. I had an assistant and then eventually one other employee and it was basically all me. So I was wearing myself out. But it was good. I learned a lot of skills, started that business and then took a number of the profits and then went on to start two different other businesses outside of that one. With the profits that we made, I started an E commerce business where my wife and I buil basically a brand, you know, an E Commerce brand. I won't tell you what we sold because that's rule number one of E Commerce. You don't tell people what you sell. And for all of you E com people who know what I'm talking about, you're like, yep, that's it. But we basically sold online. We did really well with that. That one did seven figures as well. And you know, in part of the money that we made in profit again we invested into. I purchased another coaching program from a guy who was doing like at the time he was doing like 30 million A with his E commerce stores, right? When I say E Commerce, I'm talking about like Shopify and Amazon, FBA and just all the different, even Walmart, like different places that you can sell your E Commerce through. And so I learned from him, okay, cool, here's how to do this. And we took off and that started going well. I didn't like that one. Like, even though, like, here's the thing, when you actually get into business and you actually start making money, you learn very quickly that making the money is actually the easy part, right? Like, and I know if you're still working a 9 to 5 right now or you're like, you haven't learned that skill yet. You're like, making money's hard. It feels hard because you just don't have the skill yet. But making money is actually very easy. What the hard part is actually you, you choosing what do I actually want to do? Like, what do I actually like and how do I actually want to help and serve people? Because my, what I've learned over the years and My belief is after building all these different business businesses, if you don't build your business to serve you well, you're not going to be able to serve your clients and your customers well. So anyways, we got the E commerce thing going and you know, it was okay, but man, there's so many variables in E commerce that are just annoying, man. Like, you know, like you have to work with. If you want to make a decent profit, you have to work with overseas manufacturers. At least whenever you're starting off, you have to work with overseas manufacturers. Nothing wrong with that. It's just there's so many variables between, you know, the initial conversation, let's do this thing and getting it out to the public and then making sales. You only have so much control in that process. And there are many, many, many different variables outside of your control that you're just hoping people do their job. Like for instance, in my E Commerce business, one time I did a big shipment on one of our items and somebody at the, at the customs dock scanned something. Beep. And they scanned it wrong. They send it to the same place. Not only did I lose my very expensive order, I think I lost like almost 7,000 bucks from that order. Just gone. Poof. We don't know where it's at now. Like, I'm still running out of. I burned the money, right? I lost the order. And then also when you're doing E comm and E Commerce stuff, you have to wait like again to make. To maximize your profits. You want to ship those items over that you design and create. You want to ship them over by boat. Like you can ship it over on, on airplane, but you're gonna. It costs more and it eats in your profit. So you gotta wait like three weeks after you do the whole entire process with the manufacturer. Then after you approve and they send you some samples back and forth and finally you give the thumbs up, then you have to wait like three weeks just for it to ship over on the boat. And then. And again and hope like the boat doesn't sink. Hopefully someone doesn't wreck. Hopefully they, they to put your items on the boat. Like it's crazy, man. And when that three weeks is over, then you have to go through like the customs dock, the ports. And again, like, if somebody scans something wrong, if they load it in the wrong place, if someone lost your order, your stuff is just gone, right? And so anyways, yes, we made some money in that business, but it was just kind of a headache because we didn't just have one product. We had A number of products. I think we at the height, we had like eight or nine products that, you know, most of them did pretty decent, but it was that process for all of the products. So like, oh my gosh, right, like, geez. So the second business that we started out of the profits from the first. So the first one, like I said, was an E commerce business. The second business that we started was a worship training business. And some of you guys in gals may have seen that one. It was, we started it probably six years ago and it was called Worship Coach. Still have it going on worshipcoach.com don't put as much intention or effort into it anymore because I'm just so focused on my other stuff. But that was really fun. We basically took a big chunk of money from the profits we made in that first business and we started Worship Coach and basically built a gigantic training library with thousands of trainings. At the height, we had 16,000 members on worship coach, which is pretty amazing. 16,000 people. And outside of those monthly members, we were hosting tons of schools and trainings and webinars. It actually got to the point with Worship Coach, we were at the height of it. This is like right around Covid ish time when everybody was just online and everyone was trying to figure out life. We were already set up like. Cause I already learned digital marketing. It was God learned digital marketing, learned how to do all this stuff. We just kind of like raised our hand, hey, if you want training on worship, we can teach you online. And boom, it just exploded. And we got to the point where we were training like 100,000 students a year for a couple of years there paid students on top of the 16,000 monthly members. So that was pretty cool. Worship Coach was an absolute joy. We loved it. We served a lot of people, had a lot of fun, hosted some amazing events, and that was just an all around joy. Worship Coach was just super fun. Made a bunch of money, millions and millions with Worship Coach. With some of the profits that we made from both the E commerce and the Worship Coach business, my wife and I got into real estate. I started a real estate company and we really started cranking in the real estate space and just, you know, going for it in real estate, doing a lot of wholesaling and flips and got into some of that stuff. It was really fun. Real estate's cool. I, I, I think of it like this, like business, most businesses, whether you're in like the car industry or coaching or E commerce or whatever business you start, right? That business is A really great way to make the active income. And I think of it more of like the fast burn, right? It's the quick active income that everyone needs. But real estate for me is the slow burn. It's the long game that can eventually lead to passive income if you play that game right. So we're still into real estate. We're actually looking at deals right now. We're always looking at deals. I don't talk about it too much because it's not really the thing I want to teach or train other people on. But love real estate. It's super fun and it's kind of like a long haul play for us anyways. Outside of real estate and worship, Coach and the E commerce stuff also started a couple of different consulting businesses. We, we had a publishing company where we were helping people with their publishing, music publishing, all the, all the stuff that basically I learned in my worship days. We began to help do that. So we had a number of businesses, right? A number of businesses. And along my journey, this is the punchline that I'm trying to get to along my journey. Okay. I begin to discover, wow, all of this business is awesome. But what's more awesome is actually when you do the business, when you get good at it, when you learn how to do it, when you get results. The part that I discovered that I liked better and most was actually teaching people how to get the result with the thing. And that actually led me to my current business, one of my current businesses. And it's the one that I put most of my intention and focus on right now. It's called Get Wisdom. And it is a business consulting firm basically where we coach people, new entrepreneurs, how to get started with business, intermediate entrepreneurs. People already have businesses who are doing six figures and trying to get to seven figures. And then I have a high level program, it's called diamond. It's $100,000 a pop. And that's for private clients where we basically they're already doing seven figures in their business and they want to learn how to get to eight. Because we've done multiple eight figures in our businesses now. And so we help people there. And I will tell you this, remember I told you at the beginning of this video, I'll tell you at the end, the best business that anyone can start, I will tell you what that business is. It's a digital product. Businessman. I am telling you this right now. Digital products are educational resources like ebooks, courses, mentors, programs. Think about this, okay? All of the, all of the opportunities and examples you See online right now with, like, learn how to do drop shipping, learn how to do Amazon fba, Learn how to do this, learn how to do that, like, make money with real estate, blah, blah, blah. How are all of them showing you how to do the thing through digital products, through their course, through their webinar, through their mentorship, through their ebook, et cetera. Right. So what I highly suggest that you consider doing is just go straight for the jugular. Like, why? Why try to go a different route? Like, just go straight to digital products. You can take the knowledge, the experience, the passion, the expertise that you already have and create one of these digital assets. Create one of these digital products, right? It's an educational resource where people pay you to learn the information to get the result that you've already got. And it is absolutely fantastic. I was just talking to some students yesterday. This guy was like, yo, I built course, and I built a new course. What should I do with the old course? And I said, sell it. Like, keep selling it. Like, you don't have to take it away. When you build a digital product, it becomes an asset for you forever and ever and ever. In fact, crazy story. Last year, I took a bunch of my old digital products that I created a bunch of different training things. And, you know, just a course here, a training there, this, there, that there. I bundled them together into a new, new package, basically, even though I'd sold all of them individually in different. I bundled them together, created a new offer, a new digital product that was like, hey, here's this package, here's this bundle, and sold it last year. Made $40,000 just by selling that thing. I didn't even push it hard to just like, yo, this thing's available. Boom. Why? Because digital products, like, like I said with E Commerce, there's so many variables that are outside of your control. With marketing agencies, there's a ton of work. You basically become a glorified employee. Gosh, man. With real estate, it's a lot of game to. And you have to be very patient. You have to be willing to be bad enough long enough before you can get good enough to actually make any money. Or just play the long game and be like, I'm not really gonna make money for another 5, 10, 15 years in real estate. Or you could just straight up start digital products, baby. Digital products, okay? And it's the best way for anyone to start. I literally have had students go from I don't know anything about the Internet, basically, or digital products. I don't even who or how I Would pick the people I desire to serve. You know, they come through the training and literally start making an extra 5 to 10k a month. Right? And that's on the low side. I have a number of students who have made, you know, I just had a student, his name is Makoa, he came through some of my training on digital products. Again, didn't know much about it before he started on the training. And the guy just made $32,000 in a week. In a week using our systems. So products are the way to go, man. If you are considering starting your business or you're like, man, I'm really interested in business, how do I get started? Here's what I would suggest. Okay. We have an upcoming training called. It's a five day live virtual training, okay. And it's all about creating and selling your first or your next digital product. And you saw the commercial about it earlier. Okay, you really should consider joining me. You really should consider joining me. Why? Because joining me at that digital product training is going to be number one, life changing for you. But number two, it's the cheapest that you can get that level of training from me on that high of a level of, you know, interaction. And the best way to join is as a VIP, honestly, because VIPs not only do they get the daily live virtual trainings, but VIPs get an extra hour every day to come and ask me questions live about business, about digital products, about what they're learning in the training. It's absolutely mind blowing. I literally had a student come through that training last a little over a year ago, come through that training and within his first year he made $700,000 just by what he learned. So I'm not saying that that's gonna happen for you, but it has happened for him and for a number of other students who have made significant, significant money just by going through that training. So guys, there's some of the businesses that I have started over the past 10 years. Let me know down in the comments if you guys continue want to continue to like this. Let me know if you keep, if you would like to keep watching these 15 minute mentor videos. Just bringing the car. They're super raw, they're unedited, whatever. And for those who really want to get serious about creating that new stream of income or maybe even firing your boss and going into business for yourself, join me for that challenge. It's going to be absolutely life changing. The link is down below and we'll see you in the next 15 minute mentor.
