Not just play the game, but I'm going to teach you how to win the game. All right? So, guys, there are seven rules that everyone needs to know when it comes to the money game. But the first thing that I need to ask you is this, okay? This right here. Excuse me. This right here is a $100 bill, okay? And you've probably seen one or two of these in your lifetime, right? Here's my question to you, okay? And I need you to focus deeply on what I'm about to ask you, okay? What does this hundred dollar bill think about you? You ever thought about that before? What does this hundred dollar bill think about you? What if there were 10 of these? What if there were $1,000 in front of you? What does that thousand dollars think about you? What if there was more? Right? What if there were $10,000? What if there was $100,000? What if there was a million dollars set right before you? My question to you is, and this is how we're gonna start today's training, what does money think about you? Well, the answer is it doesn't think anything about you. Right? Because it's just Paper, right? Money in itself. This $100 bill, this is just paper. It doesn't have any thoughts. It doesn't have any fillings. Okay, so what am I trying to tell you here? When it comes to money, most people think that money happens to them, right? Like, well, I don't know. Hopefully I can just go get some money. But the real issue is here. It's not what money thinks about you. It's about how you think about money, okay? And so what I. The first thing I want to teach you today is that money isn't just something that happens to you. Money flows to those who know how to play the game, okay? So the very first secret I'm going to be sharing with you today, okay? And my mouse here is not working. I don't know why. The very first secret I'm going to be sharing with you today is number one, okay? Secret number one is money comes. This one's so important. And this is why we're starting here. Money comes to those who take. Responsibility. Money comes to those who take responsibility. See, I thought. I bet you were thinking, oh, he's probably going to say, money comes to those who take action. Yes, that's partially true, but the punchline is this, okay? There are so many people who don't take responsibility when it comes to money, right? Like, here's what you need to understand, okay? If you're taking notes, write this down, okay? You are responsible. You are responsible for. Your current income level. However much you do or do not have, you're responsible for it. And, you know, like, the. The. The mindset of, like, a victim or, like, people who are just, like, victims of their situation. Like, oh, man, I was raised poor. No one ever taught me. Exactly, right? So when you start taking responsibility for your current financial situation, okay? You are responsible for that. And when you take responsibility and you say, you know what? If it's meant to be, it's up to me. And when you get that attitude when it comes to money, everything begins to change. So, number one, you're responsible, okay? Money comes to those who take responsibility. Number one, you're responsible for your current income level. Number two, you are responsible for. Your financial education, okay? And number three, you are responsible for. Your own financial future. Like, think about this, guys. Like, there are so many people, they're struggling financially. Why? Because, number one, they're not taking responsibility for their current financial situation. They're not taking responsibility for any financial education, and they're definitely not taking responsibility for their financial future. They're just hoping that Something will just work out somehow, some way, somewhere out there. If we just pray hard enough, if we just hope hard enough, if we just trust hard enough, hopefully somewhere out there, something's going to happen. That's not how this works, okay? You cannot get victory over something that you are not willing to confront and to take responsibility for. Okay? Yes, I understand. All of us have been raised in different situations. Maybe you're like, well, I didn't come from a bunch of money. Neither did I. I have a friend, okay, who for the longest time ever, even to this day, they, they lean on this, this self limiting crutch of like, well, I was raised in a trailer. Like, my family's poor. We came from nothing. Guess what, bruh? I was also raised in a trailer like my family. They were. I was raised in a trailer. Like, I was raised in a trailer in a trailer park, right till I was, I was like almost a teenager, right? Like, I understand this idea of like, well, no one ever taught me and I came from nothing and no one's ever shown me. I get it. But until you start taking responsibility for where you're at in your finances, it's never going to change, okay? So I know for a lot of times, a lot of times, for a lot of people, it's like, it's so scary. They don't want to face it and they don't want to take responsibility for it. Like, I just hopefully just stays hidden in the closet and hopefully I never have to look. If that is your attitude when it comes to your financial situation, guess what? Your financial situation is never going to get better. Why? Because money comes to those who take responsibility, okay? So guys, this is the foundation if you want to master the game of money, okay? And you don't want the game to be playing you. You want to learn how to play the game. The very first thing, the foundational piece is you must take responsibility, okay? You are responsible for your current income level, no matter how small or large, okay? You are responsible for your financial education. Hopefully. You're always educating yourself because the more you learn, the more you can earn, okay? And you are responsible for your financial future. Don't just leave it off to like, well, hopefully somewhere out there, hopefully God's going to. No, that's not how this works, okay? This is on you now. I say this to my students all the time, okay? You are, are the reason why your finances are in the situation that they're in, okay? So you are the problem. But the good news is, is you are also the solution. Okay, yes. Whatever choices you made got you here into this place where you may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed or et cetera, and you're the one who got you there. But guess what? You are the one who can get you to the next level. You are the one who can get you out of it. Okay? So here's what I want to encourage you with. Stop having a victim mentality, okay? Stop making excuses. Take ownership, okay? That way, the game no longer plays you and you can learn to start playing the game. Okay? So I need at least 10 people in the comments right now. Drop this word, responsibility. That's the very first thing that needs to happen if you want to master the game of money, okay? If you're ready for rule number two on how to play the money game, drop a two in the chat, and let's keep going here, okay? So now that we have taken responsibility, okay, the second thing that we need to understand is, okay, money always flows. To value. Not this one's going to step on some toes, but this is just true. Not to effort or time. Money always flows to value. Not to more effort, not to more time. Maybe you're sitting here, maybe you've experienced this before, right? Like, this is so interesting. I'm gonna tell you guys a story. Okay? Let's rewind. Twelve years ago, when I was at the beginning of my entrepreneurial business, financial journey, okay? I, like many of you probably I was under the impression like, well, shoot, man, making money is hard because at the time, the only way I knew how to make money was to give more time and more effort. So in order to make more money, I had to work harder. I had to work longer. And therefore, because hard work and more time has to equal more money than, therefore, making money is hard, right? But here's the crazy part, man. Now that I'm like a little bit over 10 years into my journey, I am making more money than I've ever made in my entire life, ever. And it is easier than it's ever been ever right now. That's not to say I don't have days where I'm like, you know, trying to figure something out. Or that's not to say where I don't have days where I'm not putting out fires. Of course I am. But the ease, like I am telling you this, the more you level up in what I'm trying to teach you guys in gals today, the more you learn to play the game of money, the easier it is to make money. And in fact, like, right now, I'm making more money than I've ever made. I probably work less than I've ever worked, and my load is easier than it's ever been. Like, who would have thought that, right? It's because I have learned secret number two, rule number two of the money game, and that is this money always flows to value, not to effort and not to time. Okay, so what is value? Anybody here? You want to make a little bit more money? If that's you, wave at me on the screen like this. Drop some fire emojis down in the comments. Anyone here? If you have the desire to increase your income, then guess what you need to do. Someone in the comments say, increase your value? I'm not talking about your intrinsic value as a human soul who was born. Of course, every single person on this planet is immeasurably valuable, right? In that case. But I'm talking about value that you bring to the marketplace. Okay, the person who is a shoe shiner, did they bring more value to the marketplace, or does a brain surgeon bring more value to the marketplace? Duh. A brain surgeon, right. It's not that the brain surgeon is better than the shoe shiner. It's just that the value that the brain surgeon brings to the market is way more than the guy or gal who shines shoes. And therefore, guess who's going to have more money flow to them? The person who brings more value to the market. Okay, so what is value? How can we create more value if we have the desire to increase our income? How can we increase our value? I'm glad you asked. Come with me to the board. Okay, the first thing you can do, number one, you can learn how to. Solve bigger problems. See, one of the main reasons why so many people stay stuck, they stay broke, is because they only know how to solve little problems. They haven't leveled up their skills, they haven't leveled up their understanding, they haven't leveled up their wisdom, they haven't leveled up their knowledge. And therefore, they only know how to solve the little problems. Or they only know how to solve problems that anybody else can solve. Right? Like, I don't know how to. I'm not a barista, but literally, like in 30 minutes, I could be just as good as most other baristas out there who working at the coffee shop, Right? Why? Because, yes, that is a valuable skill to have because people enjoy coffee. But is it that valuable as an individual to the marketplace? No, not necessarily. So guess what? The person who only knows how to solve little problems are only going to make little income You've got to learn how to solve bigger problems. And the way you do this is by increasing your skill, increasing your knowledge, increasing your ability. Right? And so that way you can begin to grow and grow and solve bigger problems. Okay? How else can we increase our value? Okay, I'm glad you asked. You can learn how to. Serve more people. Okay, now here's the cool part. We are living in the Internet age, in the digital age. You don't have to go and knock on a thousand doors a day. You can just go post, you know, something that is valuable to Instagram or Facebook or YouTube or TikTok or Twitter or wherever. You could post something and a thousand people potentially could watch it in one day. And even if a thousand people don't watch it in one day, if you post it, it becomes like an evergreen value post that somebody out there can always watch. And it's gonna be able to serve you forever until you take it down. Right? So, number one, you have to learn how to serve more people. Okay? A big part of this is growing in your ability to reach more people. Hello, Internet. Hello, social media. Right? That's why I'm always harping on you guys. You've got to grow your social media. You know, I don't like social media. Yeah, you don't like social media because you're mostly a consumer and all you mostly do is consume, consume, consume, consume. I have no feelings about social media whatsoever. If it disappears tomorrow, I don't care. But here's the thing. It's not like I love it or hate it. It's just I use it not as a consumer to, like, consume, consume. I use it as a supplier. I don't see social media as like, oh, man, it's so like, it's bad for the mental health. Yeah. Because I'm not sitting there consuming, consuming, consuming, and, like, jacking my mental health. I'm there, like, supplying, supplying, supplying, supplying value. That's how I use social media. Right. And when you do this, you can learn how to serve more people, man. Like, let me ask you a question. Who is going to make more money? Okay. The person who serves one person and solves a problem for one person or the person who solves a problem for 1,000 people? Well, depending on what problem they're solving. Right. Depending on exhibit A, a bigger problem or a more expensive problem. If they're solving the same problem, okay. And this person can solve the same problem as the next person, but they solve it for one person and this person solves it for a thousand who's going to make more money? The person who serves more people. Okay? So how else can you increase your value? You've got to learn how to serve more people. How else can we do this? Okay, You can grow your specialized knowledge, AKA you can begin to grow in wisdom, right? Like let's say, for instance, you are kind of good at. Let's just go back to the barista example. Okay? So I'm kind of good at being a barista. Well, guess what? What if you learned how to start a coffee shop, right? And you learned the ins and outs on how to manage a coffee shop. You don't just know coffee. Like, now you know how to start a coffee shop, manage a coffee shop. You know what machines to buy, what equipment is needed, what softwares are needed, right? You begin to grow your specialized knowledge around coffee. Who's going to be able to make more money? The barista who only has a little bit of specialized knowledge, or the coffee shop owner who. They're not just a barista, they can do a barista ing. Is that what it's called? They can be a coffee maker, but they also know how to build a coffee shop. And then let's take that even further. What if you were to scale that to five coffee shops, okay? And what if you. You learned how to franchise a coffee shop? Aha. Now you don't just know coffee. Now you don't know how to just build a coffee shop. Now you know how to build a brand of coffee shop. See what I'm saying here, guys? Growing your specialized knowledge, growing your wisdom in your niche is critical for learning how to play the money game, okay? Because I don't know if y' all ever heard this before, but if you don't know how to play the game, then the game is playing you, period. And I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the game playing me. I want to play the game, right? And so what you have to do is you've got to understand that money always flows to value, not to effort or time. So you got to learn how to solve bigger problems, serve more people, grow your specialized knowledge. And what else do you need to learn how to do? Glad you asked. You must learn how to sell your expertise. Sell your expertise inside of a scalable offer. What is that, guys? That is a digital product, right? Like, take your knowledge, your experience, your expertise that you already have, and do the work one time to create a digital product, a coaching program, a course, a. A webinar, a challenge, whatever it is, right? An ebook. Take that knowledge, put it into a digital product and then guess what? Sell this expertise inside of a scalable offer. Sell this specialized knowledge to more people to serve bigger problems. Like, guys, I'm telling you, this is the game right here. This is the game, okay? So number two, you must understand money flows. And by the way, it always flows to value, not to effort, not to time, okay? If you're tired of trading time for dollars, you've got to learn the money game, man. This is how it works. Listen, the game changes when you stop selling time and effort and you start selling results, okay? Expertise, leverage. And here's the biggest one. When you start selling transformation. Because if you're taking notes, write it down like this. We don't sell stuff, we sell transformations, okay? That's rule number two of the money game. If you're ready for rule number three of the money game, drop a three down in the chat. Let's keep going here, okay? So now that we're understanding rule number one, rule number two, rule number three, now we're getting really, really deeper into this thing, okay? Third rule of the money game is this, guys, you're always going to use earned income to buy assets, okay? And then you're going to use. The passive income that comes from assets. To buy liabilities, okay? So real quick, if you are a little bit rusty on this, what's the difference between an asset and a liability? Okay? A liability is a purchase that you make and it costs you money, okay? A liability, for instance, a liability is probably a vehicle unless you turn it into an asset. We'll talk about that in a second. A liability is that purse that you just had to have. Girl, that thing was so fine. Oh my God. And you purchase this liability and you know you bought it and woohoo. And it just, it costs you money. It doesn't make you money, right? Or that pair of shoes or that, the pair of sneakers that Bro just had to have. Bro, those sneakers are so dope, Bro, whatever it is, right? Assets are purchases that you make that make you money. In fact, I like to say it like this. Liabilities bleed you, but assets will feed you, okay? And here's rule number three. When it comes to the game of money, does anybody here want to win at the game of money? If that's you, shout that's me. That's me. That's me down in the comments. Do you want to win at the game of money? Do you want to learn how to play the money game? Or you want the money game to Keep playing you. Which one? If you have the desire to win the money game, here's what you need to do. You need to use your earned income to buy assets, okay? Assets, guys. Like, for instance, you can use the income from your job or from your business to purchase assets, okay? And not just any assets. Assets that produce cash flow. We're going to talk about this in just a moment, okay? And here's the thing, guys. Cash flow. Whenever you purchase assets that produce cash flow, the cash flow can now buy you freedom, security, and options, okay? Here's a humongous mistake that most people make when it comes to money, because they don't know how to play the game. And so the game is playing them. Most people will go take the income from their job or from their business, and they're going to buy everything that they need. Like, okay, we got to buy groceries. I got to buy that new pair of shoes. I got to buy this. And they're literally spending money from earned income on liabilities. This is one of, like, this is financial literacy 101 wealthy people. We use earned income from job or business not to buy liabilities, but to purchase assets. Why? Because whenever you have an asset, an asset will feed you. It won't bleed you. And then you can use the passive income that's coming in from your assets to purchase the liabilities. Because here's the thing. If you use earned income to purchase liabilities, that's the end of the loop. It's just income liabilities gone. But when you use earned income to purchase assets, assets produce income for you over and over and over again. So the loop never ends. I'm going to use earned income, purchase assets, assets start pumping out money. It becomes my money machine. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. And now all the passive income that's coming from my assets, now I can buy all the junk, right? Because whenever you use earned income to buy liabilities, that's the end of the loop. But when you use earned income to buy assets, there's no end to the cash flow that begins to come in. And all you got to do is build your assets, right? If you're taking notes, write it down like this, okay? Income follows assets. Okay? So now that we're understanding this, let's talk a little bit about, like, what are some examples of assets? Okay, well, Rick's saying I got to use my earned income to purchase assets. What kind of assets should I purchase? The number one number. Look at me in the digital eyeballs right now. The number one asset that every person on this planet should be investing into. The number one is this. Is investing into your skills and into your wisdom. Investing into yourself. You've heard me say it a hundred times. I'll keep saying it. Not to invest first into the s and P500, but to invest first into the SME500. Why? Because when you start taking some of your earned income to purchase the skills or systems or wisdom, guess what happens? You become recession proof. Nobody can take your skills from you. It doesn't matter what's going on in the economy. If you have a certain set of skills, you can make it no matter what's going on in the economy, right? But you can't do that by like, well, I bought a pair of shoes. What? Man, listen, I have so many students come to me, Rick, I finally made some money. Like, I've got whatever, 10 grand saved, I've got 20 grand saved, I got 50 grand saved. Where should I invest it? And my answer is always the same. Until you have at least, at least, I'm talking on the lowest side. Until you have at least $100,000 liquid cash, the only place you should be investing is into more knowledge, more, more wisdom and more skills. And I know for broke minded people that seems like counterproductive, like, well, man, shouldn't I, maybe I should get into crypto, maybe I should get into real estate. Maybe I should, you know, a buddy of mine got into real estate, blah, blah, blah. All of that is interesting when the time comes, right? But if you don't have the wisdom or the knowledge or the skills on how the game works, the game will just play you at a different level. Like, it is absolutely ludicrous to me. So if you've got, if you're like, man, we made an extra five grand this month or we made it, I got, you know, three grand saved, I got 10 grand saved, I got 17 grand saved. Guess what? You should be doing that. If you're like, where should I invest it? Invest it into yourself, Hire a coach, hire a mentor, get access to knowledge, buy books, go to events, go to trainings, learn the game. Because I'm telling you this, I have invested heavily, heavily, heavily into my own skills, knowledge and wisdom. And remember what I said a little bit ago? Like, whenever you first start learning how to play the game, it feels hard to make money. But the better you get at it, the easier it gets. Why? Because your skills get so good, like you get so sharp in your knowledge, making money becomes easier and easier and easier. And I'm telling you this, there will Come a time, let's say you have whatever, 15 grand saved if you invest that into a worthy coach or a worthy system and some kind of knowledge or wisdom or skills that can level you up, okay? And you really do the work and you learn the skill and you master the skill. I'm telling you this, that investment into your own knowledge, wisdom, experience, et cetera, can literally make you way, way, way, way, way more forever because it's an asset. And remember what I just taught you. Assets, they pump money out for you all the time. They never stop producing money, right? And then anything you earn from your asset, then you can buy other stuff. You can buy more assets with that income. You can buy your liabilities, you can give, you can do whatever you like, right? But that's where you need to invest first. Number one, skills, wisdom. Okay, what are some other assets that you could invest to? Well, business, right? You could invest into digital assets, for instance. Maybe it's time for you to level up in the softwares that you use or the systems that you use, right? There are opportunities out there like private equity. My wife and I got into private equity a few years ago. Really cool investment, right? Not better than investing into myself, but man, it's a really cool investment. Of course, real estate, there's all kinds of different ways to invest into assets. But I'm telling you this, you're going to remember Uncle Ricky P's voice trying to tell you the best place to invest first until you have at least 100k liquid cash saved up is into your skills and your wisdom. Okay? So guys, I'm telling you, when you win, sorry, you win when your money starts working harder for you than you work for it. That's a humongous part of the money game. Okay, if you're ready for rule number four of the money game, drop a four in the chat. Let's keep on going here, guys. Okay, so what's the next thing we've got to learn about the money game? Come on board. There we go. Rule number four about the money game, guys. Rule number four is this. Always somebody in the comments shall always, always. There we go. Always pay yourself first. What does that mean? Always pay yourself first. Think about this, okay? Broke minded people, they pay everybody first and then they pay themselves last. What does that mean? It means literally like whenever they get their paycheck, they're like, okay, I got to pay my bills, I got to pay Uncle Sam, I got to buy groceries, I got to pay my mortgage, I got to do this, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then whatever's left over, if anything is left over, then like, well, maybe I could save a little bit of this. What? Like, that's the. That's why they stay in loops of brokeness, right? Because they don't understand the money game, man. Rule number four of the money game is always pay yourself first. Here's what I like to say, okay? Before bills, before your lifestyle, before your expenses, before any spending, okay? You want to take a minimum of 10 to 20% of whatever you make, and you want to pay yourself by either, number one, saving it. Okay. Or investing it. And what do I mean by saving it? I mean, you want to at least do basics, like have some kind of safety net, an emergency fund. And then after you get that going, then what I like to do is I like to store away for my next investment, right? So let's say my. My safety net is I've got six months of liquid cash saved up. If everything crashed and burned, my. My family and I can still be living at the same level for at least another six months, okay? Before anything breaks, okay? So after that is built up, then any other kind of saving I do, I tuck it away into a place for where I'm growing my capital. So whenever I see a good opportunity or whenever I'm like, wow, I should invest into that mentorship or that skill, or, ooh, here's a cool opportunity to invest into xyz. Now I have liquid capital that I can go deploy so that my money works harder for me than I work for it. Guys, this is the money game. This is the money game. This is Money game. Money rules 101. And this is why broke people stay broke and wealthy people get more wealthy. More wealthy. More wealthy. Because we understand how to play the game, okay? So what is the importance of paying yourself first? Okay? Paying yourself first. This is. Okay? It builds discipline. It builds capital, like I just said. And here's the best part. It builds safety. In fact, the book of Proverbs calls it your financial fortress. Okay? Like, think about it. If there was an enemy coming to attack you, right? And they were coming to just attack, attack, attack. Do you have any kind of fortress around you and your family right now? Are you just out there, like, living by the seat of your pants, like, grasping for the wind? Hopefully it works out. If that's you, then you are getting played by the money game, dude. Like, you're getting played by the system, okay? So you've got to learn how to play the game. Rule number four is pay yourself first. That way you can start building up your financial fortress. And the cool part about having a financial fortress, okay, of savings, of capital, of liquid, of options, etc. Is that if something comes to attack you, there's a fortress there. You have protection, right? You're not just going to get wiped out by like, oh, shoot, our tire popped on the way to school. Oh, man. Now what are we going to do? It cost us an extra $400. What are we going to do? Like, oh my God, stop living like that, man. Build your fortress, okay? Become someone. If you're taking notes, write it down like this. Become someone who learns how to keep money and not just earn the money. That's what happens whenever you pay yourself first. You become somebody who can keep money and not just earn it. Okay? If you're ready for rule number five, drop a five in the chat. This one's so important. Okay? Rule number five is this. Come on board, here we go. Okay, Rule number five is, this one's super important. Okay? You must master. The little known. Financial skills. Okay, what does that mean? You must master the little known financial skills. If you're taking notes, write it down like this. Rich people, we aren't just financially literate, we are financially fluent. It's one thing to be literate, it's another thing to be fluent, right? It's one thing to be like, well, I took a year of Spanish and I can like kind of ask where the bathroom is. And it's a whole different reality where when you speak Spanish fluently, that's what I'm talking about. When it comes to your financial education, don't just like learn enough. Just where you're like, well, I kind of understand it and I know what asset and liability means. That's cool. But you need to get fluent in this stuff, man. Don't just like become literate, become fluent. What am I talking about? I'm talking about this. You've got to master the little known financial skills. What are some of those little known financial skills? Number one, taxes. Oh, my gosh. I remember growing up, you know, my parents came from nothing. Basically we were American poor and we lived, like I said earlier, we lived in a trailer. We lived, lived in a one bedroom roach infested apartment. My parents lived off of food stamps for most of my childhood. Like, it was, it was pretty rough. American poor, right? And all that to say for forget about like financial literacy or even become financial, like fluent. My parents knew nothing about taxes and neither did their parents. And most everybody else in the world has no understanding about this little known financial skill called taxes, right? Like, almost nobody understands it. I will tell you this. I used to be so scared of this subject. Like, when I first started out 10, 12 years ago, I was so scared. Why? Because I simply did not take responsibility. Like, rule number one. I was so scared because I saw what my parents got into. Like, oh, gosh, I'm so scared. But when I took responsibility and started learning the game, now I have weekly meetings with my accountants, right? I view all of my numbers every single day. I'm watching, I'm making moves. I'm making plans on how to, like, do the best tax sheltering and the best tax strategies. What? It's awesome. It's incredible. Like, I'm. I'm not getting played by the tax game anymore. I'm playing the game, right? So what's another one? You need to learn how to use leverage or good debt, right? How many people know how credit works? Almost nobody on this. In this nation. Almost nobody in this nation understands credit, right? Like Peep says, like, I can get a credit card. Like, I don't know what my credit score is. Like, oh, my gosh, right? Like, I literally have my credit updated to me every single day. I check my credit every single day, right? Not. Not pulling it, but I check it every single day. Okay? I understand credit. I understand the credit game. I have. Me and my wife have probably close to 60 credit cards, right? Because we. And you might be like, what the heck? That's insane. I know how to play the game. I'm playing the game, man. The game ain't playing me. I'm playing the right. You've got to understand these little known financial skills not just to become literate in them, but to become fluent. You got to learn taxes, man. You've got to learn leverage. You got to learn about credit, okay? You've got to learn about debt. Okay, I guess I put that one there. But, man, so many people have wrong ideas when it comes to debt. So many people think that all debt is created equal. It's not. There is good debt and there is bad debt. You got to learn these skills, man. You got to learn this game, okay? What else you got to learn? You got to learn contracts, okay? I'm starting businesses all the time, and I go pretty slow because I'm reviewing contracts. And not just me, my lawyer's reviewing contracts. I'm making adjustments to the contracts. I'm submitting something different in the contract. I know that whatever's in the contract, that's what's going to stand, right? And so you have to understand the contract game. Also another one that I think is a little known financial skill, but my God, gosh, this thing has made me so much money and it saved me so much money. Negotiations like, there are literal skills in negotiating that most people don't understand and therefore they're getting played by the game instead of learning how to play the game. Because I understand some negotiation skills, I'm able to negotiate really, really well and get things to go, you know, the way that I would desire for them to go. Not in a manipulative way, but in a way that I know how to play the game. Right? I don't know if you ever heard this before, but if you don't know how to play the game, then the game is playing you. And there's no ifs, ands, or but about it. There's no, like, there's no way around that. You're either getting played or you're playing either way, right? And it all comes down to you guys. I'm telling you this right now, okay? These right here, mastering the little known financial skills. These are the cheat codes. These are the cheat codes. Average people never learn. Average people. If you walk up to an average person on the side of the street right now and you ask them what's the difference between good debt and bad debt? They have no clue. You walk up to the average person on the street right now and you ask them, hey, could you tell me how credit works? They have no clue. You walk up to the average person on the street, hey, can you tell me how the tax game works? They have no clue. But this doesn't have to be you, okay? You can learn the money game. You can master the game. Then instead of having the game play you, you can learn how to play the game. Okay? If you're taking notes, write this down. Money rewards those who master the invisible forces behind it. I'll say that one more time. Money rewards the invisible forces behind it. Sorry. Money rewards those who master the invisible forces behind it. Some of the invisible forces behind money, guys. Taxes, leverage, good debt, bad debt, contracts, negotiations. Okay? This isn't just like, I'm going to go to work and hopefully I'll get my paycheck on the first. Okay, that's like, that's what broke minded people do. And you're not a broke minded person, okay? You're going to learn the money game. You're going to master the money game. So that way you can start playing the game. All right, guys, and remember this, if you're taking notes. One more time, write it down like this. Don't just become literate. Work on becoming fluent. Okay? I would say in a lot of these different areas, I'm becoming. I'm already very fluent in a lot of these areas. Most of these areas, I'm still not 100% literate on a couple of these issues, maybe on some of, like the deep tax codes, but my gosh, man, I feel pretty. Pretty fluent, right? I feel pretty fluent on a lot of this stuff. You can get there as well. Okay, guys, if you're ready for rule number six of mastering the money game, drop a six in the chats. Is anybody getting value? If you're getting value, drop some fire emojis down in the comments if you're learning a little bit about the money game. Okay, let's talk about rule number six. Okay? Rule number six is this. You always want to protect your bag. Okay? What does that mean? It means. Stewardship is always better than just reckless spending. Okay? If you're taking notes, write this down. The wealthy don't get rich from making money. We get rich because we know how to keep our money. Okay? A lot of people, especially whenever you're, like, in the beginning of your wealth creation journey, maybe if you still have like a broke mentality, you think like, well, I just need to make some money so I can get rich. That's not what rich means. Rich isn't just learning to make money. We're going to talk about this in a minute. Rich is learning how to keep your money. Okay, so how do we do this? How do we become good stewards and not just spenders? Right? I don't want to just be a spender. I want to be a steward. Because I don't know about you, but if I can be entrusted with a little, and God finds me faithful with little, he's going to entrust more to me, right? And so what does that mean? It means if I can be a good steward, God's going to go, hey, you did good with this. Let me give you a little bit more. Let's see how you do with this. Hey, you did pretty good with that. Let me give you a little bit more. And over time, before you know it, you're a ruler over much. Why? Because you are not just a spender, you are a steward. So how do we do this, guys? Very, very simple. Number one, live off of less than you make. Can I tell y' all a crazy story? So probably about almost six years ago now, my wife and I had really become basically financially free about six years ago. And it was to the point where we basically could have done anything we desired to do. We could have lived anywhere, purchased anything six years ago. And even up at that point, you know, before we were like, let's go crazy and spend, we decided, let's continue to live way below our means to just make sure that we get so far away from the edge that we'd never, ever, ever be able to get to, like, the edge ever again. Right? And so for the next handful of years, we just live below our means. So much so, in fact, that I have a friend who's a. He's a broker. He's a mortgage broker. And my wife and I, we were working on this project, and he called me up and he's like, bro, this is. This is crazy. We just ran your financials. This was like, earlier this year. We just rang your financials. I don't know if I'm reading this right. Do you literally live off of 1% of your income? He's like, I. I don't know if I. Like, is there a mistake somewhere? I was like, no, this is. This is it. He's like, dude, I've never seen this before. You literally live off of 1% of your total income. And, guys, I haven't always been able to do this, but because my wife and I, we're learning the money game, okay? We started mastering the money game, and now we're at this place where literally, for years, I've been living off of 1% of my income. So what does that mean? It means that 99% of my income, I'm able to deploy into assets, into wisdom, into investments. And now it's crazy, because my assets, they produce so much income that now my passive income is more than most people's gigantic salaries. Like, it's wild. So I have my active income, I have my passive income. I've got my investments, I've got my assets. It's crazy. And I'm not saying any of this to boast. I'm saying this to say, not very long ago, I didn't know how any of this worked. I didn't know anything. I was being played by the game, was literally playing me, because I didn't know how it worked, okay? But I'm trying to teach you all how to play the game so that way you don't have to continue to get played. All right? So, number one, how do you become a steward instead of just a spender? Number one, you got to live off of less than you earn. Okay, number two, this one should be obvious, but most people don't get this. Stay out of consumer or bad debt. What does that mean? I'm telling you this right now. Ooh, what just happened there? There we go. I'm telling you this right now. I am all about debt. I love debt. I love using debt. It's amazing. I have plenty of debt, but I don't have any bad debt, right? I have plenty of good debt that makes me money, okay? But consumer debt, like debt that you use other people's money to purchase liabilities, it's stupid. It is literally one of the dumbest, most illiterate things you could ever do. And it's to use other people's money to purchase things that cost you over and over and over and over. Like, that is the slowest, hardest path to wealth creation, is to have bad consumer debt. So if you have consumer debt right now, like I said earlier, it's your fault. But guess what? You are the solution. You can get out of it, and then you can learn how the debt game works. Not just become literate, you can become fluent, and then you can start playing the game, right? It's awesome. How else can you become a good steward instead of just a spender, right? Live off of less you make, avoid bad debt. This one is one of my favorite. Insure your life, your income, and your assets, okay? I'm telling you, life insurance, like, it might sound like it's like. Like, wait, life insurance? I'm telling you, like, there's so many people that I know, they don't even have life insurance, right? Like, insure yourself, man. Insure your life, insure your income, right? Insure your assets. I literally have insurance on my portfolio of assets. Why? Because if something breaks, if something goes wrong, I'm not going to lose anything because I got insurance, right? Like, there's ways to play the game, man. And whenever you can learn how to play the game, like, you can't lose, like, whenever you learn the rules and you learn how to play the game, it becomes very, very hard to lose, right? And the only people who are losing are people who don't know how to play the game. Think about that. Like, if I didn't know how to play football and somebody else knew every single rule about football, what are my chances of winning the game? Probably close to zero, right? What are the chances of the person who knows the rules, who knows how to play the game, playing against somebody who doesn't understand the game whatsoever? They're going to win Every single time. That's exactly how the money game works too, man. Right. This one is obvious as well. How can you become a good steward and not just a spender? Make sure to build, Build your emergency fund. So many people, man, it's so crazy. Like, this is, this is wild. But this past week, my wife and I were driving down the street. We have a beautiful vehicle. Never had a single issue with it, ever. And the engine just randomly blew while we were driving, right? And it's going to cost a whole lot of money. Am I worried about it? No. Why? Because I have an emergency fund for this. Right? Like so many people. Like, oh my gosh, Johnny knocked the window out of the house and now it's gonna cost 500 bucks. What are we gonna do? Like, you know, oh my gosh, the brakes went out. Oh, it's gonna cost us 600 bucks. What are we gonna do? Like, so many people are literally, like, living without any kind of safety net security emergency fund. Guys, stop getting played by the system, man. Right? Start learning the game so you can play the game and the game doesn't play you. Lastly, guys, here's the thing, okay? Making money decisions, Making long term money decisions. Making money decisions that last for a long time. Not just like, well, this is cool. I'm going to buy this random liability. No, man, like, learn how to be a good steward. Learn how to make decisions that you're like, okay, I'm going to make this investment. And yes, it might take a little bit to grow, but man, it's going to grow one day. And this little seed that I plant here can become a big tree in a little bit of time if I'm patient. Like, you've got to get a long haul mindset when it comes to your investments, okay? If you're taking notes, write it down like this. And we're going to wrap with secret or rule number seven, okay? If you're taking notes, write it down. Stewardship is the boring skill that guarantees you never fall backwards. Stewardship is the boring skill that guarantees that you never fall backwards. Okay? And guys, lastly, drop a 7 in the chat if you're ready for rule number 7 on how to play the money game. Man, I hope you guys are learning some stuff today. Okay? Rule number seven on how to play the money game. This one's so important, okay? You've got to learn how to make, manage and multiply your money. Relentlessly, okay? So if you're taking notes, write that down. Make, manage and multiply. Guys, I'm telling you, when it comes to scaling your income, okay? This is the first rule, first rule of getting to the point now where you're not just literate in your finances, you're becoming fluent. And now that you understand how the money game works, what's the punchline that you're trying to get to? You've got to not just make it. Okay? You've got to learn how to make it. Yes, that's a big skill. Then you have to learn how to manage it. Yes, that's another set of skills. Then you have to learn how to multiply it. That's another set of skills within itself. But when you do this, when you learn how to make it, when you learn how to manage it, when you learn how to multiply it, friends, I'm telling you this. The most incredible thing happens. Everything begins to compound, okay? Like compound interest. Most people are familiar with compound interest because it's working against most people, because most people are getting played by the game. But those of us wealthy people who understand how to play the game, we have compound interest working for us. We know the skills of making money. We know the skills of managing money. We know the skills of how to multiply the money, okay? And when you do this, incredible things begin to happen. It's called compound interest. You might have heard me talk about this before. Okay, but what are some of the ways that interest can compound? Okay, skills. Skills can compound. Yes, it's really cool if you have the skill of sales, but you know what's even better? When you have the skill of sales and marketing. Ooh. And you know what's even better than having the skills of sales and marketing? Public speaking on top of that. Ooh. Right. And you know what's even better than sales and marketing? Public speaking? Learning how to build funnels. Ooh. See, like, every layer brings a compound effect to where now you can multiply this thing and just start going bananas and scale stuff. What else compounds skills? Knowledge. Okay? Your wisdom. Your knowledge. You can learn this principle, and it's powerful within itself. But then you learn this principle and you stack them together, and now it's like double powerful. And then you learn another principle, and you stack it on top of these ones, and that compounds, right? That's how knowledge or wisdom can compound. What else compounds? Relationships can compound. Networks can compound. You might have a really cool network over here with this group of friends, and then you build a network of really cool, great relationships with this group of friends. And you're like, wait a second. What if we connected together? And now even Your networks and your relationships can compound. One of us sends a thousand a flight, but two of us sends 10,000 a flight. You guys getting this? Like, a lot of things can begin to have compound interest for the good and not just bad. Compound interest that's charging every month. And of course, guys, what else can compound. Your money? Investments can compound. Friends, I am telling you this, okay? Desire, faith, persistence, and specialized knowledge, when all combined together can create exponential results. Why? Because when you develop the skill of making money and you compound it with the skill of managing money, and then you compound that with the skill of multiplying money, it starts getting absolutely ludicrous, my friends. Ludicrous. Ludicrous. Crazy, right? So here's the punchline. I need to leave with you guys today as we wrap up here. When you know how to play the money game, you don't just grow linearly, you grow generationally. Think about that. When you learn how to play the money game, it's not just like, oh, man, I hope I can get some more money to pay my bills. No, no, no. When you learn to play the money game, you can grow generationally. It's not just like, I hope I have enough for me. No, it's like, what am I going to do with all this? How am I going to pass this on to my children and my children's children? How am I going to educate them, not just leave them a pile of cash? How can I educate them? How can I grow their financial literacy? How can I set them up to be a head start from where I started? Friends, these are the seven rules of the money game. And I'm telling you this right now. Instead of having the game play, you learn these rules, practice these rules, grow in these rules and in these skills. So that way you can learn to play the money game and not just play it, you can learn how to win it.
