Okay, so like I just mentioned to you, you may not have come from a wealthy family, but a wealthy family can and should come from you. You know, the reality is this, like none of us are responsible from, for the family that we came from, but we should take responsibility for the family that comes from us. You know, just a little story for you. So I grew up kind of American poor. My parents, they, they really struggled growing up. You know, whenever we were little kids. I have two younger brothers and I remember the best my parents could do at the time. My dad had, I think two or three jobs. He worked at Blockbuster and Seven Eleven. My mom was working between the two of them. They were working three or four jobs just to make Ends meet. And I remember we were living in a small one bedroom apartment with like roaches everywhere. Like we didn't come from money, man, we really didn't. And it wasn't until they begin to even step into some of these four steps I'm going to be sharing with you today that everything began to change for them. And I'm telling you this one incredible insight that I remember growing up is even though my parents were struggling and as a little boy, some of my first memories are just like the struggle bus, right? I'll never forget that both parents, they had set in their hearts. We don't know how, we don't know when, but we are going to figure this thing out. And honestly, they did. Now they're doing fantastic, they're blessed and my whole entire family is completely blessed. And so I wanted just to tell you that story to encourage you. No matter where you're at in your journey right now, you might feel like you're struggling or you might be really in like the trenches of like the struggle bus or whatever it is. Just because you're there now doesn't mean that you're going to end up there forever. If you simply tap into these four steps, I'm going to be breaking down for you in today's training. Okay? So come up into the board and let's just jump right on in. Step number one, what do you need to do in order to break off all the poverty and all the cycles of scarcity from your family forever? Step number one, this one is incredibly important. You must. You've got to get your belief right, man. And the way I like to say it is you've got to get your belief around God's desire for you to prosper. You have to get that belief right. Because the punchline is this. If you don't believe that becoming a millionaire is possible, you're going to have a very, very hard time becoming a millionaire. If you don't believe that thriving and flourishing in your finances is possible, then you're going to have a really hard time to thrive and flourish in your finances. In fact, it was Mark, chapter nine where Jesus said, if you can believe, then all things will be possible. And you know, there's a lot of people who like to say, like, all things are possible to him who believes. Yes, that's true. But don't forget the first part of that verse where it says, if you can believe, then all things will be possible. You have got to get your belief right, man. Before you can step into financial abundance. You need to settle one thing in your heart. And that one thing is this. God desires to see you prosper. God desires to see you prosper. He desires to see you flourish. And one of the reasons why so many people stay broke, they stay in scarcity, cycles of scarcity, generation after generation. They stay in lack is because they have conflicting internal beliefs around the idea, does God actually want me to be. To be blessed? Does God actually want me to flourish? And because they're more conflicted than they are convicted around this idea, unfortunately, it keeps them broke, man. It keeps them struggling. And the saddest part is it doesn't just keep them broke. It doesn't just keep them struggling. It. It keeps their children and their children's children broke and struggling because they don't have the belief that God desires to see me prosper. Too many people carry a mindset that equates poverty to holiness, as if struggling financially is somehow righteous. Newsflash. It's not. Okay. It is not. You're not more righteous if you have less. Scripture repeatedly shows us that God delights in blessing his people, not just spiritually, by the way, right? It's not just like, oh, yeah, we're going to be blessed. We're taking the land in the spirit, but, you know, in the natural. No, we're not. We're not blessed in the natural. We're not taking the land in the natural. We're not highly favored in the natural, only in the spirit, right? Like, guys, this is religious broke. Like, it's terrible thinking. We need to get our belief system right, right? So Scripture repeatedly shows us that God delights in blessing his people not just spiritually, but in every area of your life, including your finances, right? The moment you believe this truth, you stop making excuses for lack of and you start positioning yourself for growth. What does that mean? You see so many people, whenever they're in that cycle of scarcity, they're like fighting for all their limitations, right? Like, oh, we've always been broke and oh, we'll never be able to get ahead. Like, why are you fighting for your limitations? Why are you making excuses for the lack? Right? Like, do you believe that God desires for you to just be on the struggle bus your whole entire life? But while the whole time you're like, oh, we're blessed and highly favored, serious, like, if an unbeliever were to look at your financial life, would that alone be enough for them to want to give their life to God just by saying, wow, if, if I could just tap into some of that Whatever this guy or this gal is doing, they're a son or a daughter of the living God. Like that alone. And of course, please hear me, this isn't everything. Finances isn't everything. But we have, we have so gotten religious around this idea that, like, the pendulum is swung all the way over to the other side. It's like, you know, instead of going like, you know, finances are everything, religious people are saying finances are nothing. Like, neither of those is right, Right. Like to say that finances is everything and finances is nothing. Both of those are the wrong answer. On the extreme sides of the spectrum, I believe that God desires to bless his sons and daughters because he's a good father and he wants us to flourish and he wants us to prosper. And when the unbeliever looks at his people as a father, as a mother, wouldn't you want, like, to show your kids off? Like, I'm so proud of him. I'm so proud of her. Look at that. You know, like on Easter Sunday, when their hair is all combed nice, they have their nice little jacket on or whatever it is. Like, I'm so proud of them. And you're taking pictures and everything. That's how our Father is. But he's a million times better than that, right? He desires to bless us and to lavish us friends. If you don't get your belief right around the idea that God desires for you to prosper, that God desires for you to be blessed, it's going to be very, very hard for you to prosper and to be blessed. And unfortunately, if you don't get this part right, unfortunately, this doesn't just affect you. It will continue to affect your children and your children's children. But it's time to break those cycles of scarcity and those patterns of poverty. Okay? So get your belief right, guys. If you're ready for number two, drop a two in the comments. Okay? So now that our belief system is right, what do you got to do next? The second thing you got to do is you must. You gotta grow your financial literacy. You gotta start learning the game of how money works. Think about it like this. Like, let's say you were to be invited to play a baseball game, and someone's like, yo, let's play a baseball game together. And you're like, okay, cool. But you know nothing about baseball. You don't know any of the rules, right? And so you're just going into it blind. Are you going to be able to win at the game if you don't know the rules? If someone Asks you to play checkers with them or chess with them, but you don't understand the rules of the game. Are you going to be able to win the game? Chances are, no, you won't. Why? Because you have no clue how the game actually works. You have no clue what the rules are in the game. So if you don't know how the game works, if you don't know what the rules are, if you don't know how to play, it's going to be extremely hard for you to win. The same thing goes for your finances. So guess what you have to do. You've got to start growing your financial literacy. Faith alone. I just need to say this, especially to any Christian out there, any believers who follow my channel here. Faith alone won't make you financially free. I'm going to say it again for all the religious ones in the back. Faith alone will not make you financially free. I'm not saying that you should not have faith. You should totally grow your faith. Yes. But here's a punchline. Wisdom and action must follow in accompany your faith. Because if wisdom is and action don't accompany your faith, well, the book of James tells us that faith without works or faith without action is dead. Okay? And then the Bible also tells us that wisdom builds the house. So if you have the desire to build your house of finances, you can't just stand on faith alone, brother. Right? You've got to have faith, and with that faith, accompany it with wisdom and action. Grow your financial literacy. Learn the rules of the game. Start studying how money actually works. Start studying business. Start taking marketing courses, sales courses. Start understanding the day and age that we live in in 20, 25 and beyond. So that you can learn the game and you can get into the game and you can start winning at the game, man, if you don't grow your financial literacy, you're just literally a sitting duck out there. And it's gonna be impossible for you to win at finances. So you've got to start growing your financial literacy. The Bible says that wisdom is more valuable than gold, which means financial literacy is a form of wealth in itself. Ooh. What? That's right. See, wealth is not just, you know, I have a bunch of money. Wealth is resource. Wealth is wisdom. Right? Wealth is the ability to be able to serve others at a higher level. It's not just what we can acquire. Right? And how are you going to have all of this wealth if you don't even know the rules of the game? If you don't even know how the game works. See, most people, the only understanding of how the game works is, oh, I'm going to go to school, I'm going to go to college, and then I'm going to go get a job and then hopefully I'll climb the corporate ladder for 30, 40, 50 years and then maybe whenever I'm old, I'll be able to retire. Like that's their understanding of the game. But guys, there's levels to the game. There's way different ways that you could play it so that you can win the game faster, right? If you want to make and manage and multiply your money well, you need to learn how money actually works, okay? Educate yourself about business, about real estate or whatever area you feel called to begin to educate yourself in that. Because when you do, you start learning the rules of the game, you start learning how the game works, then you can get in the game and start winning. God will bless what you steward well, but ignorance leads to waste. I'm going to say that one again. God will bless what you steward well, but ignorance leads to waste. Okay? That's a proverb from your uncle Ricky P right here, okay? Like don't ask God to bless your finances if you're not even stewarding them well, well, we're doing our best, we're working hard. Working hard is awesome, but working hard alone is not going to make you wealthy. You've got to do this, man. You've got to grow your financial literacy because when you understand the rules of the game, you can begin to play the game better. You can steward your, your finances better, you can grow them. Like I said earlier, you can make the money better, you can manage it better, you can multiply it better. And when you become a good steward, God will bless. Don't just leave all this up to faith, right? I'm just standing in faith. And hopefully one day God's going to poof a million dollars into my bank account. Woo hoo. That's how most people think. Most Christians think like that. And it's a complete religious false mindset to have. Okay? God will bless what you steward well, but ignorance leads to waste. If you're ready for number three on how to break this cycle of scarcity off of your family forever, drop a 3 in the chats right now. Come with me to the board. So what's the third thing? Okay, first thing, you got to get your belief right. Second thing, you got to grow your financial literacy. Number three, okay, you must change your state. What does that mean? What does it mean to change your state? Listen, so many people, okay, they are under the state of disempowerment and disability. I'll never be able to do that. And oh man, there's too much to learn. You know, Rick's talking about we have to grow our financial literacy. That's too hard. Right? But listen, when you begin to change your state from disability and unempowerment and you change your state to empowerment and ability, you begin to tap in to more favor when it comes to your finances. You really do. Because now you begin to see this from a different perspective. Not from the perspective of disempowerment, not from the perspective of disability. You begin to see life and you begin to see opportunities from the perspective of empowerment and ability. You stop asking disempowering questions like, oh, what if this doesn't work? What if this is a scam? Oh, that costs too much money. We're never going to. What if you switch from that to how awesome is this going to be when I figure this out? How awesome is this going to be when I become the person it takes to give my family the life that they desire and they deserve? I can do this. I can figure this out. This is going to work or it's going to work? Either one. I'm good with both. But this is going to happen. When you change your state from disempowerment and disability to empowerment and ability, everything changes. Your circumstances may have told you that you're limited, but that's not the truth. You are not defined by what family you come from. You're not defined by your past. You're not defined by your mistakes. You're not even defined by your current struggles. The moment you shift your mindset, guys, from I can't to I will, everything begins to change. Listen, God has given you gifts. He's given you ideas. He's given you talents. He's given, he's given you abilities. And my call, my urge to you is use them. Use them. Stop calling your something, nothing. I'm just a stay at home mom. I'm just a car salesman. I'm just a barista. I'm just this. I'm just that. I'm just this. Who would want to learn from me? Who would I help? Boo hoo, yadda. See? See what state that current mindset is in. It's disempowerment and disability. But when you begin to call that thing that you do the way that God calls it, okay, I'm just a stay at home mom. I'm just. No. Do you know how many People would love to learn how to be a stay at home mom. Do you know how many people. I'm just a car salesman. Do you know many people would love to learn how to get into car sales? I'm just a barista. Do you know how many people would love to learn how to become like a man? Master barista. Are you serious? Like God has given you ideas, abilities, talents, giftings. Use them. Change your state. Change your state from disempowerment and disability to empowerment and ability. Put on a different pair of glasses, a different lens to view life through and everything is going to begin to change. Remember, we're not just talking about for you alone, we're talking about breaking generational curses of poverty, cycles of scarcity off of our families forever. So when you change your state, you're not just unlocking something for you, you're unlocking something for your children and your children's children. You got to change your state, man can't be in that disempowerment disability state any longer. You got to level up. If you're ready for step number four, drop a four in the chats, drop some fire emojis in the chats if you're getting value and come with me here to the board. Right, so number one, got to get your belief right. Number two, you got to grow your financial literacy. Number three, you got to change your state and watch as number four, you must, You must change your status. What does that mean? See, so many people are under the status of I am a dependent. And this is coming from someone like I served in the ministry. I was a missionary and worship leader for two decades plus. Still a worshiper of course. But this is not my full time vocation anymore. And one thing that I know coming from a ministry background is that so many of God's people, ministry or not so many of God's people, they are living under the status of someone who is a dependent. Oh, we're hoping for a financial miracle. God, would you please poof it into our account or send some rich person to come and just bless us? Oh God, we need a miracle. Would you please come and have somebody donate to us like so many of God's people are in this status of dependency. And listen, I'm not saying don't be dependent upon God. Yes, of course be dependent on God. But what I am saying is, is change your status from being dependent on other people, taking responsibility for your own life. If you need a financial miracle, then guess what, you should be the one to go figure it out. Ask God for help and then you go, take action. Don't just be like, oh God, we're praying. Please someone, please someone send an offering. Serious. Like, what happened to you being the head and not the tail? What happened to you being the lender and not the borrower? What happened to you being a source of blessing instead of just someone who receives blessings? Like, I can't get by unless someone blesses me. Serious. That's like the, the cripple on the side of the the road that is like, oh, son of David, have mercy and Jesus. Like, serious, like, take up your mat and walk. Like, why are you in this disabled status? Oh, I can't do. Or what about like, you know, the, the man at the pool of Bethesda? Like, hey, don't you want to be healed? Oh, I don't have anyone to take me to the pool. You know, I've been here for 20 years. I've been here for 40 years. No one can pick me up. I don't have any. Like, serious. It's not about the actual disability in your status. It's the status of the mindset that is a dependent. I can't do anything unless somebody else picks me up. And because no one wants to pick me up, I can't go to the pool. I can't make the stirring of the waters and I'll never be healed. Boo hoo. Get out of that mindset, man. Change your status from being dependent on others to becoming the one who gives generously. Guys, this is exactly how it changed for my wife and I. We literally would, we would host these gigantic events and they would cost 200, 300, 400, $500,000, like massive events. And I wasn't from like a big movement. I wasn't like, I didn't have the backing, the financial backing of some sugar daddy or sugar mama in my corner. Like we were out there on faith, right? And listen, God will meet you at your faith. But the problem is, is that so many people, they're just asking God for enough. And God meet you with just enough. But most people don't know the God of more than enough because they're not adding wisdom and action to their faith. They're just sitting there as beggars. Oh, please, God. And God being the good father he is, is like, well, I'll meet you here. Well, how come we're not abundantly blessed? We just barely have enough. All we're living off of is manna. At least back in Egypt we had like leeks and onions and meat. We had all this great food. I'm going back. Because all we get out here is just enough. And God's saying, yeah, yeah. Because it's not my will for you to live off of the manna alone. My will is for you to actually add wisdom and action to your faith. Go learn how to slay some giants. Go learn how to take some fortified cities. Go take the promised land. Don't just sit out here in the wilderness. Oh, God. Hopefully we'll get some manna today. Serious, guys, you got to change your status, man. Instead of just being dependent on other people, hopefully someone gives to me, right? You can be the person who gifts. The goal isn't just to escape financial struggle, by the way. The goal is to reach a place where you can bless others abundantly. I'm not just talking about who. Finally, we paid our bills this month, thank God. That's cool. But that's just mana, dude. That's just mana. That's just enough I'm talking about to where you have more than enough. And you can pay other people's bills for them. You can be the blessing. You could be the one who gives. You could be the head and not the tail. You could be the lender and not the borrower. See what I'm saying here? But in order to do that, in order to step into that, you must break free from a dependency mindset. You must break free from a dependency mindset. Hopefully somebody will give to me. Hopefully, someone will pick me up and take me to the stirring of the waters. Nope. You pick up your mat and you walk. Pick up your own mat, right? Stop looking for someone to rescue you and start building yourself up so that you can become the rescuer. So, guys, real quick, here's a quick recap. If you want to break the cycles of scarcity and if you want to break the patterns of poverty off of yours and your family lineage forever, number one, you got to get your belief right. Number two, you got to grow your financial literacy. Number three, you got to change your state. And number four, you got to change your status. I'm telling you right now. I said it earlier.
