How To Grow Wise Beyond Your Size

A short teaching by Rick Pino (YouTube) explaining how biblical wisdom (Hebrew chokma) equates to practical skill that enables people to ‘be wise beyond your size.’ Pino argues wisdom lets you do more with less, speeds up success, and enables leverage, and outlines three steps to grow in wisdom: acquire knowledge, assemble understanding, and apply wisdom. He cites Proverbs 4:7 and Proverbs 8:18 to link wisdom with riches, honor (favor), enduring/generational wealth, and prosperity (health of mind, soul, body).

Did you know that when God gives you wisdom, you can actually become wise beyond your size? What does that mean? The wisdom that God brings will help you to do more with less. Today we're talking about the three keys to growing wisdom. And whatever you do, make sure to stick around to the end because I am dropping absolute fire on very principles that made millions of dollars for me and my family. Let's get into it. Today I'm going to be talking about the three keys to growing in wisdom. Did you know that when God gives you wisdom, you can actually become w. Wise beyond your size? Wise beyond your size. What does that mean? Well, the Bible says In Proverbs chapter 4, verse 7, it says it extremely plain. It just says it like this. Get wisdom. The biggest thing that God is encouraging us to go after is not necessarily the silver and the gold. It's not necessarily the accolades. It's not necessarily the fame or the fortune or the long life. God is encouraging us to get wisdom. Because if you get wisdom, you get everything. And when you become wise, be beyond your size. Incredible things happen when you're wise beyond your size. When you move and grow in the wisdom that God gives, then you can do more with less. When you grow in God's wisdom, when you become wise beyond your size because of the wisdom that God pours out on your life, then you can enjoy your inheritance now instead of waiting for the end of your life to enjoy it. In fact, if you're taking notes, write this down. God's wisdom is. Speeds up success. God's wisdom speeds up success. Guys, I'm telling you right now, out of Proverbs chapter 4, verse 7, God is, I believe he's shouting to us, get wisdom. Now, something interesting if you look in Proverbs chapter 4, verse 7 there. And in fact, I'm going to come over here to the board. I want to show you guys something incredible. Maybe you've seen it, maybe you haven't before, but I want to break this down for you guys. Come over here to me, with me to the board, right? Check this out. Proverbs, chapter four, verse seven, okay? It says get wisdom. And of course it says a few other things after that. Get knowledge. Get understanding. And we're going to talk about some of that in a second. But here's the thing. It says get wisdom. And I want to break something down for you guys, okay? The Hebrew word wisdom here, I made a post on this recently. I don't know if you guys had seen it, but the Hebrew word wisdom here is the Hebrew word. It's the Hebrew word chokma. Now, I'm sure I'm botching that as far as the pronunciation actually has an H at the end there. It's choc ma. But, guys, here's the crazy part, okay? When God is saying, get wisdom, I want to encourage you to get wisdom. Get wisdom. It's all through the book of Proverbs, okay? Hebrew language, it says choc ma. But here's the thing. The English translation for the. The Hebrew word wisdom, which is choc ma, is the word skill. Did you know that when God is encouraging you to get wisdom, God is actually encouraging you to grow in skill. Now, see, a lot of times, people, they get it twisted. They think when they ask God for wisdom, that God is just going, poof. You know, God, give me wisdom, Poof. And then all of a sudden, now I'm wise. But it doesn't work like that, guys. When you ask God for wisdom, you are asking God to make you more skillful. Why does God want us to become more skillful? Because in any area of your life, whether it's in your family, whether it's in your business, your finances, your health, the more skilled you become at life in that area, the more, number one, you can serve people better. And the more you serv people better, the better your life is going to be. So don't have this mentality of like, God, give me wisdom and poof. God just poofs wisdom on you. It doesn't work like that. And here in just a moment, I'm going to be breaking down the three keys to growing in wisdom. But guys, if you're taking notes, write this down, okay? It's not about becoming a millionaire. It's about becoming a skillionaire. We have got to grow in God's wisdom. We have got to grow in skill. Because when you. When you grow in the wisdom that God brings, you can do more with less. See, a lot of people think that the way to grow your finances, and in our case today, your business is to work harder. But here's the thing. I'm going to come back to the board. Watch this, okay? The reason why people think. See, so most people think trading their time for their dollar is the way to make money. That's a clock, by the way, okay? And so most people's philosophy of, okay, I want to grow in finances, right? A lot of people, the way that they. They measure that is like, okay, well, if I want to grow in finances, I've got to work harder, right? Because most people only understand the value of trading their time for their dollar. So in order to make more money with this philosophy, guess what? They have to give more of time. And so in traditional mindset, when it comes to growing in finance, growing in business, building your wealth, a lot of people, they just, they're like, this is so hard because they are literally connecting their time to their dollar. And here's the problem with connecting your time to your dollar. Guys. A lot of people in our culture today, the reason why stuff is quote unqu expensive for them, right? Like, so many people are like, oh my gosh, the price of eggs, it used to be $3, now it's $4. And the price of gas used to be $3, now it're 450, right? And they're, they think everything is expensive. Why? Because for people who trade their time for their dollar, they're not just paying with their dollar, they're paying with their life. So in order for them to buy a $10 meal, you know, if they're making 10 bucks an hour, the meal didn' dollars, it costed them an hour of their life. So of course, for people in this mindset of trading their time for their dollar, that is not God's best. It is a way to make money, but this is not God's best way to make money. Because in my opinion, there's not a lot of wisdom in this way. Right? Because you guys have heard me say this before. If you're new here, you're going to hear me say it over and over and over. When you connect, come back with me to the board here, okay? When you connect your earning potential to something that is limited, AKA your time, then guess what? Your earning potential now gets limited because time is limited. I don't know about you, but as far as, like, hard labor goes, I can't do hard labor while I'm sleeping. Most people that I know can't do hard labor while they. They. While they sleep. So therefore, if you're only making money by selling your time, your dollar, it's going to be impossible for you to really begin to leverage and build serious wealth because you're connecting your earning potential to something that is limited. But here's what happens when you begin to ask God for wisdom. Wisdom that God brings allows you to not just work harder, but to work smarter. You guessed it right. And here's the cool thing. Remember I was saying a little bit earlier, with God's wisdom, you can do more with less. Well, guys, that is the whole entire principle of God's Wisdom when it comes to the subject of building finances in the area of leverage. In fact, I need at least five people in the comments right now. Drop the word leverage. If you want to grow in God's wisdom when it comes to building wealth, you have got to learn how to leverage what you have. What does that mean? Leveraging something is taking something that is seemingly quote unquote, small in your life and leveraging it to do something big. Come with me to the board. There was a philosopher a few hundred years ago named Archimedes. I'm probably saying it wrong, and I'm probably spelling it wrong, but his name is Archmidius. He's the guy who came up with the. With the expression eureka. But he said this. Give me a lever. Okay? That's our lever. Oops. Excuse me. Give me a lever and a sure place to stand and I can move the earth. Okay, Give me a lever and a sure place to stand and I can move the earth. What does that mean? Okay, you're over here now by yourself. Let me get my laser on. Watch this. By yourself. Okay, let's pretend. Oops. Let me change the color. There we go. Let's pretend you needed to move this boulder. All right, now look at you. Look at little ou in comparison to this big old boulder, okay? What most people do, okay, this is them trying to build wealth. And what most people do, they're going to take the quote unquote little part of their life, which is just a little bit of time they have, and they're going to try to use that time to quote, unquote move this boulder. Well, guys, it's going to take forever, and in a lot of cases, it's going to be impossible to do because you're too small to just manhandle this gigantic boulder. However, if you were to think smarter and not just like, how can I move this gigantic boulder, but how can I work smarter? And you actually say, okay, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to set up a lever. I'm going to set up leverage. And now guess what, little. You can move the big boulder easily because you work smarter with your mind than you did with your muscles. That's what happens when God's wisdom begins to grow in your life. You begin to learn how to leverage the quote unquote little parts of your life and move big things. Because you're not just thinking in a limited capacity. You begin to grow in skill. Somebody in the comments drop the word skill. This is why I'm Saying it's not about becoming a millionaire. It's about becoming a skillionaire. We have got to as we ask God for wisdom. Proverbs 4, verse 7. When he's saying get wisdom, guys, he's not just saying, hey, I want to poof wisdom on you. He's saying, you've got to grow in wisdom. Or in that case, you have to grow your skills. You've got to grow your skills. Hey, I really hope that you're enjoying the video. I want to invite you guys. Now back to the video. Here's what I want to do. I want to give you guys the three keys to growing in wisdom. And I think it's going to be really eye opening for a lot of you guys and gals to see it like this. You're going to be familiar with some of these terms, but as we bring them together and as you apply it to your business. Okay, okay. You are going to begin to see, oh, this was what I was missing. Okay, Are you guys ready for that? If you're ready for that, drop a 3 in the comments. Check this out. 3 keys. To growing in wisdom. Okay, Key number one. The first thing you need to do to grow in wisdom is you have to acquire knowledge. A lot of you guys and gals know I come from a ministry background, a missions background, a worship background. I have been to 79 nations around the world, all with, like, missions and worship. It's been amazing and all of that to say because of that context. It's given me a pretty broad perspective of what is happening right now with God's people around the world. And if there's one thing that I've seen is a lot of God's people, not just in business, but in life, they miss it because they know the Bible, but they don't understand what the Bible is saying. We need to acquire knowledge. Right? If you Want to grow in wisdom, you have to have knowledge. But step number two for growing in wisdom, okay? You have to assemble understanding. For instance, let's say, you know, some alien out there, you know, lands on planet Earth, someone who does not know about humanity at all, and they're like, how do you guys get around your planet, right? And we're like, oh, here, like this. This is a car. They're like, what? Now they have the knowledge, right? Or maybe some person from like some back, you know, African tribe, some Indian tribe somewhere, some whatever. Someone who's never seen a vehicle. They're like, how do you guys get it? You guys don't walk? You guys don't ride horses? No, no, no, we have cars, bro. Right? Like, what is a car? And then you're walking them around the car, like, oh, okay, what the wheels? Engine. What is an engine? Right? They're acquiring knowledge, but in order for them to actually go to the next level, they have to assemble understanding. So, okay, you're telling me this is a car. I get it. Now, there are things called roads, right? Okay, cool. And if I get in and I turn this key and I put my seatbelt on and I push that little pedal on the floor, the car will move forward, right? You begin to grow in understanding. Just wave at me if you guys are getting it right. So step number one, if you want to grow in God's wisdom, you have to acquire the knowledge. Step number two, you have to assemble the understanding. And then here's the last punchline, okay? Step number three for growing in wisdom, you have to apply the wisdom. If you don't take action on the knowledge that you now are beginning to understand, then you are not going to grow in skill, and therefore, you're not going to grow in wisdom. So, guys, the three steps to growing in wisdom. You have to acquire knowledge, you have to assemble understanding, and then you have to apply wisdom. But I want to take you guys to one more scripture here that I think is mind blowing when it comes to growing in the wisdom that God wants to give us. Especially when it comes to our finances, our generational wealth, our businesses, etc. And that is Proverbs 8, 18. Come with me here. Okay? Proverbs chapter 8, verse 18. I love this verse. Now this is. This is wisdom talking, okay? So you're going to. Here in a second, you're going to see all the incredible things that wisdom brings. But I think it's very interesting and if you're taking notes, you can write this down. The reason why a lot of God's people are broke is because they have conflicting internal beliefs around the subject of money. For instance, if I were to go up to somebody and say, hey, do you believe God wants you to have wisdom? Probably 100% of them would say, absolutely, I believe God wants me to be wise. But then if you were to say, that's awesome. Do you also believe that God wants you to be wealthy? Do you believe that God wants you to be rich even? Do you believe that God wants you to have enduring wealth or generational wealth? Do you believe that God wants you to prosper? Most people are going to go, I don't know. Well, it depends. And not everyone's called. That's why you're broke. You have conflicting internal beliefs around what God says about money. How on one hand could you believe that God wants you to be wise, but on the other hand, you're not sure if he wants you to be wise, wealthy. Okay, let's check this out here in Proverbs, chapter 8, verse 18. Come with me to the board again. This is wisdom speaking with me again. Wisdom with me comes. Watch this. With me comes riches, honor. This part's crazy. Enduring wealth. And prosperity. I'm trying to teach you guys God's way to begin to grow in wealth and riches and prosperity and honor. The way that we do this is to get wisdom. I need at least 10 people in the comments right now to drop these words. Get wisdom. God is not just going to poof wisdom on your life. Poof. And now you're wise. You've got to get knowledge. Then you've got to get understanding. And then you have to apply the wisdom. You have to grow in skill. You have to grow in the chakma, you have to grow the skill. And guys, when you grow in skill, something incredible happens right here. When you grow in skill and you've got God's wisdom on your life, guess what God's wisdom brings with it? She brings riches. Do you believe God wants you to be wise? Yes. Do you believe God wants you to be rich? I believe that God wants me to be rich. Why? Because I also believe that God wants me to be wise. But it doesn't just stop there, guys. With God's wisdom also comes honor. And I'm going to break these down here in just a second, okay? With God's wisdom also comes enduring wealth. And with God's wisdom also comes prosperity. What does this mean? If you're taking notes, you can write these things down. Okay, according to this verse in Proverbs 8, 18, when we grow in wisdom or when we grow in skill, when we grow in God's wisdom, we also grow in. I'll just write it down on the board. We grow in number one. We grow in riches, which is obvious. This is money. When God's wisdom is upon your life and you are doing your best to get the knowledge, grow in understanding, and apply what you've learned to grow in wisdom, it's going to bring bring money. But not only that. It says riches, it says honor. Watch this honor. What is honor? Guys, honor is favor with God and man. When you have God's wisdom upon your life. When you're growing in skill because you've acquired knowledge and understanding, not only will it bring money, but it will bring favor with God and man. Man number three is incredible on this. Watch this. When you grow in wisdom, God's wisdom also brings. This is fantastic. Enduring wealth. What is enduring wealth? This is. Generational wealth. How many of you guys and gals know that God is not just, yes, he's fully concerned for you, but he's also concerned for your children, for your children's children. God is not just the God of Abraham, he's the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Israel, and all the rest. In fact, one of the reasons why God wants you to grow in his wisdom is because he wants you to become so skilled that you now begin to not just create enough wealth for your lifetime, you can now begin to create enough wealth for your children's lifetime and for your children's children's lifetime. Guys, it's called enduring wealth. It's called wealth that endures. And number four, Prosperity. Watch this. Okay, with me, wisdom comes riches, honor, enduring wealth, and prosperity. Watch this. Prosperity is. Prosperity is health in your mind, soul and body. When you become skilled in God's wisdom. Look at all of this incredible, incredible blessing that comes with that. When you become skilled in God's wisdom, you get money, you get favor with God and man, you get generational wealth, and you get health in your spirit, soul and body. Guys, can you see now why the Father is literally shouting to us out of Proverbs 4, 7, get wisdom. He's literally saying, above all else, get wisdom. He's literally saying wisdom is the primary thing. James, chapter five. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to everyone abundantly. God wants to give you wisdom, but it's not going to come in a poof. It's going to come when you acquire knowledge, assemble understanding, and apply wisdom. Guys, let me leave you with this thought. Today. Okay, listen. You were not just born to pay bills and die. You were not born to just pay bills and die. Ask God to help you grow wise beyond your size.
