Ladies and gentlemen, what's up? It's Rick Pino here from Get Wisdom. Have you ever had a bad sales experience? Maybe you talked to a car salesman or maybe someone came and knocked on the front door and was trying to sell you a vacuum or whatever it was, right? All of us have been in those situations to where after the experience is over, we're like, oh, that was so weird and slimy and gross. And for whatever reason, like now our frame and idea of sales is like skewed with like all sales are bad. But I submit to you what, what if sales is actually one of the most important, one of the most ethical ways that God has set up his people to be able to flourish in their finances. We're talking all about it today in this video. Well, don't forget, today's training is brought to you by my upcoming five day Live virtual challenge where over the course of five days I'm going to show you the ethical, moral and even biblical ways on how you can begin to monetize your knowledge so that you no longer have to be struggling, you no longer have to work for somebody else. I have students who use this system to create and sell their own digital products and they are literally making life changing money because they're learning how to serve people at a higher level so that they can make money at a higher level. If you're interested, do not miss it. We are currently on sale right now too. So click the link down below and join us for that. It's coming up right around the corner. So let's talk about sales. Guys, the very first thing I want to submit to you here is actually an interesting verse out of the book of Proverbs and It's Proverbs chapter 11, verse 26. Now here's the thing. Maybe you've read through this before. Maybe you've seen it before. I promise you, you've never seen it like this. And then I have a story to tell you that is connected to this verse. Okay, so Proverbs 11:26, we're talking about sales today and why selling is actually good. In fact, I'll just kick the whole thing off by saying it like this. I believe that selling is good because selling is serving. Think about that. Have you ever seen sales? Not as like, ew, it's slimy and it's weird. And I know so many people are like, oh, I don't want to sell anything. I just want to give it all away for free because they have this false belief that all things sales is bad. It's just like, oh, I don't want to sell anything. It's gross, it's slimy, it's weird. But watch this verse here in Proverbs 11:26, and I believe it's going to radically change your perspective on the idea of sales. Watch this. Okay? Proverbs 11:26 says it like this. A curse shall be upon the head of him or her who withholds the corn, but a blessing shall be upon the head of him or her who sells it. Interesting. And I'm going to actually just come here to the board and I'm just going to write here. It doesn't say. Here's what the Bible does not say. Okay? The Bible doesn't say, a blessing shall be upon the head of him or her who gives it all away for free. The Bible doesn't say, a blessing shall be upon the head of him or her who donates everything because it's more holy, it's more righteous. It doesn't say that. It says, if you withhold the corn. And what is the corn? Right. The corn in this specific context here represents the good thing that God has placed on your life. Okay? And if you withhold the good thing that God has placed upon your life, it's really interesting. The Bible says, a quote, unquote, curse shall be upon the head of that person. But a blessing shall be upon the head of him or her who what, sells it. Interesting, right? Quick story for you. So a number of years ago, I had a friend call me up and they were in a little bit of a pickle, and they call me up and they're like, hey, Rick, man, I feel so embarrassed. I'm just. I don't know how else to ask this, but, man, is there any way I can borrow $20,000? Now, this person knew I'm a businessman and they knew that, you know, I'd be able to have the money to lend them. And in the past, I've been very generous to this person. So no brainer, they call me up, can I borrow 20k? And interestingly, my response to them was not sure thing. He here's the money. My response was, I am not going to loan you 20k because. And this is what I said to them. And I'm going to say this and submit this to you as well. I said, I'm not going to loan you the 20k this time because I submit to you, you don't have a money problem. You have a sales problem. And this person goes, a sales problem? What do you mean? And Then I shared with them Proverbs 11:26. And I said, I believe one of the main reasons why you're struggling in your finances right now is not because you have money problems. Money problems is the fruit, but it's not the root, okay? I said, just because you're struggling in your finances right now doesn't mean that you have money problems. It means that there's a rooted problem. And I believe it is right here in Proverbs 11:26. You need to go sell some stuff. And this person was like, oh, man, okay, well, that makes a lot of sense. And I completely see what the Bible's saying here, but honestly, I'm just, I'm not a salesperson. And I said, and that is the issue, because you see sales as gross or slimy or weird or like, this is ungodly or whatever the perspective is on sales that is keeping you from selling the good thing that God has put on your life. It is literally causing a quote unquote curse to come upon your finances. And so this person, and this is why I was able to speak to this person so directly in this context. Because recently, before this, like, a few months before this, I had already helped this person build their own digital products. In fact, they had a fantastic digital product that they was just sitting there and they weren't doing anything with it, right? They had this amazing coaching program, this mentorship program. They had already built it out and they just simply weren't selling it. They were scared. They were under the limitation, the limiting belief of like, oh, I'm not a salesperson. So maybe, you know, if God wants to bless my finances, maybe he can just poof some money into my account. That's not how this works. So I said, here's what you need to do. You need to go find all of those people who have already told you that they're interested in the thing that you have to offer them and simply go sell them the digital product that we've already created. And they were like, oh, man, that sounds so simple. And I said, it is that simple. There are people right now hanging in the balance, needing a breakthrough in their life in a very specific area that you can help, that this individual was able to help them in their specific way. And they're waiting for someone to serve them by selling to them. And here's the punchline of the story, okay? So we hang up. This person's like, okay, cool. I said, man, go through Proverbs 11:26, go check it out, and then go get some conviction. About sales, that it's not bad, it's actually good. And I'm gonna break that down in a second, but watch this. So this person, two days later, I called them up just to check on them. Hey, how's it going? And this person goes, but you're never gonna believe this. I was literally just about to call you. This is so crazy. In the past two days, I did everything you told me to do. I believe Proverbs 11:26 to be good. I believe that there's gonna be a blessing that comes upon my head and on my finances if I sell the good thing. And they said, in the past two days, I've sold a number of my digital products and I've made $20,000 the exact amount that they were in need of. And I said, wow, that's interesting. See, here's how it works, okay? So many of us, because we've had really bad sales experiences, right? Like I mentioned at the beginning of the video, maybe you had a slimy car salesman or you know, you went to go purchase something and the person just made you feel weird or they were trying to manipulate you and you're like, sales is so yucky and slimy, right? All of us have been there and unfortunately, we allow the few bad sales experiences to frame our mind and our belief around sales that all sales are bad. But here's what I need to submit to you, okay? I submit to you that what makes a sale bad or good comes down to the intent of the person selling you the stuff. For instance, if the person is more concerned about their winning and their well being and them succeeding in the process, that's what makes the sale yucky, slimy, weird and gross, right? Because now the sale is not about them serving you. The sale is about them serving themselves. But here's something you really need to consider, okay? For every one bad sales experience that you've had, that like now maybe frames you to the idea that sales, all sales are bad. I submit to you that you have had 10 to 20amazing sales experiences for every one bad sales experience. And here's how I know. Have you ever had a toothache before? Right? And your tooth is hurting super bad. And where do you go? You go to the dentist, okay? And you walk into the dentist. And do you walk into the dentist going, oh man, this place is slimy. It's weird. These guys are going to try to rip me off. They're all about the money. Or are you going, oh man, I really have a problem. I need some help, please. And the Dentist goes, great, we can absolutely help you. They go and they, whatever, pull the tooth, they give you some medicine, they help it, it doesn't hurt anymore. And then whenever you're checking out, they what, charge you see, it's really interesting. Whenever you start seeing, wait a second. They served me by solving a problem for me, and then they charge me to solve the problem. And I wasn't into the mindset in that specific situation that, like, oh, man, dentists are here to try to rip you off. No, I was under the mindset. Wow, thank you so much for solving this problem for me. Right. What about. Let me give you another situation. Okay. Have you ever gone to the grocery store? Because maybe, whatever. It's the end of the week and you know the new week is coming up. You got to get some groceries for the week, the kids have lunches, you got to just go stock up. Did you ever grab the little buggy or the cart? And you're walking through the grocery store with this mindset, man, Grocery stores are a rip off. They're all about the money. They're always trying to manipulate. I can't believe they're trying to sell me a bunch of groceries. No, you haven't. Why? Because the grocery store, just like the dentist, is solving an obvious problem for their market. And because they're solving an obvious problem, they get to serve us. And the way that we say thank you is by them going, great, pay right here, please. And we gladly go, absolutely. Schwing. And we slide, we swipe that card, right? So why am I saying all this? Because I submit to you the difference between good sales experience and bad sales experience. And you can absolutely position yourself on the good sales experience side. 100% of the time is whenever you position the sale not about you. Like, hey, this is the worst, right? Hey, do me a favor, man. Just buy this thing, you know, a lot of car lots or whatever, you know, hey, just do me a favor, man. Just sign on the dotted line. No, it's not. The sales process is not about the customer doing the salesperson a favor. The sales process, the ethical way, the moral way, and I believe even the biblical way on how to do sales with ethics and morals, right? And to do it to where God can put a blessing on your head is where you are more concerned about the client or the prospect being helped and served more than you are about you making your commission or your money, etc. Right? In fact, a number of years ago, I went to Israel and I learned this from a Jewish businessman who taught Me this, okay? If you can be more obsessed over solving problems for people, then they are obsessed over the problem itself. You'll never have any trouble making money. Think about that. What I teach my students is this. Selling is good because selling is serving. And when it comes to business, okay, business, God's way, business. Doing this with ethics and morality and doing this according to biblical principles is all about, how can I obsess over solving problems for people. Just like the dentist, just like the grocery store. Just like the person who thankfully sold me some clothes, right? Or thankfully sold you a toothbrush and some toothpaste. Because if that company or that person didn't serve you by solving the problem, which was, I don't want to be walking around with no clothes on, right? I need some clothes or, man, I should really be able to clean my teeth. I need a toothbrush and a toothpaste. What about some deodorant, Right? What about some shoes on your feet? Right? What about all of the different things that are problems for us? We don't see? Whenever the problem has an obvious solution that is needed, we don't see it as, oh, man, they're trying to rip us off. They're trying to manipulate us. Sales is slimy and weird. No, we go, oh, thank God, I was so hungry on my lunch break. Thank God for this restaurant. Man, I was so hungry on my lunch break. Thank God the grocery store sold me these groceries so I could make my. My sandwich and my chips and my blah, blah, blah, whatever, right? You don't think, like, oh, man, the grocery store ripped me off or, you know, the, the chiropractor ripped me off because, you know, I slept weird and my back was all cricked and I can't believe how slimy it was that they fixed my problem. No. So you've got to change your mindset around the ethics when it comes to sales. Because I submit to you, just like Proverbs 11:26 is saying here, okay? If you are currently, right now, struggling in your finances, I submit to you, it's probably not that you have a money problem. It's simply that you have a sales problem. And you need to realize God has put corn or grain, God has put the good thing on the inside of you that you can serve other people with. And the best thing to do is to go obsess over solving problems for people and not just do it for free, but to sell it. To sell it. Why? Because when you sell, puts value both on it for the customer and for you. Now it means Something. Now the person who's getting their problem solved is thankful. Now you are fulfilled because you helped somebody. And then they said thank you in the form of dollar signs. This is how God has set up the global economy. Think about this. Every single dollar bill that circulates this planet right now, the only reason why anyone anywhere has any money is because somebody somewhere sold something for a profit. Period. Now, I had made the statement recently, and one of my students said, well, you know, Rick, I work as a secretary at this doctor's office, and I don't make money because I sell things for a profit. And I said, yes, you do. The company that you work for sells things for a profit. And out of the profit that they sell, they pay people like you to be an employee. And then I also had a pastor, a minister, said, well, what about us who, like, we run churches and ministries? Like, we don't make money by selling anything. We make money because people give generously out of the kindness of their heart. And I said, exactly. The money that they give you has either come from them selling something for a profit in their business or them working for a business that sells something for a profit. The only reason why anyone anywhere has any money is because somebody somewhere sold something for a profit. Listen, friend, I submit this idea to you. You are a salesperson, whether you like to admit it or not. How do I know this? Because however much money you do or do not make right now, it's because you sold something to get that. Let me explain, okay? Maybe you're that secretary, right? Maybe you work at Starbucks. Maybe you have, you know, whatever. Maybe you're an accountant, okay? You literally sold your time to somebody else so that you could do that service for them either as an employee or as a business owner that provided a service or a product. And you sold yourself and. And you sold your time. Maybe you make 25 bucks an hour. You literally sold your time for $25. Every single one of you, every single one of us is in sales, whether we like it or not. So the biggest thing I want you to take away from today's training is that if you're struggling in your finances right now, it's not that you have a money problem. That's just the fruit. It's not the root. It's probably that you have a sales problem, okay? Now, if you're like, I don't know what I would sell, like, it's starting to make sense, and I get it, but I don't know what I would sell, and I really like the idea of like selling is good because selling is serving. But I just don't know who I would serve and I don't know how I would serve them. I don't know what problems I can solve. That's exactly why you need to consider joining me for that upcoming five day live virtual training. Click the link down below, going to show you exactly how to do it. But here's the punchline, okay? Selling is good because selling is serving. And when we sell God's way, not with the intention of like, you know, it's all about us, we're just going to like, oh, let's see how much money we can make. And it's all about greed and manipulation. Obviously that's what makes sales nasty and gross and weird and slimy, right? But when sales comes down to I am here to serve you. I'm here to solve problems for you and if you would like your problem solved, all you need to do to get it solved and is to pay me and I will solve it for you. That is God's ethical biblical way on how people can begin to be blessed in their finances. I believe every single Christian should sell stuff. Ladies and gentlemen, make sure to like and subscribe to the channel if you want to see more trainings like this and let me know down in the comments your thoughts on sales and we'll see in the next training.
