So how do you identify blind spots? How do you spot what you've never seen? Let me give you three ways. One, you've got to invite honest feedback. This sounds simple but few leaders do it well. Ask your team, ask your spouse, ask your coach. Here's the second thing. You need to watch your patterns. What do you keep bumping into? What conversations keep repeating? Where is the resistance showing up again and again? Patterns don't lie. They're trying to show you something. Now here's the third thing. I want you to go get a mirror. Every driver needs one and every leader needs one to. That's what coaching is. It's a mirror. It shows you what you can't see on your own. We all need someone to help us look over our shoulder. We need someone to help us say hey, you're about to swerve into something. You're about to hit that.
