Do NOT Give The Homeless Money (Shocking Truth!)

Rob Moore argues against giving money to homeless people, claiming many are professional beggars exploiting the system. He discusses welfare dependency and proposes reforms to tax and welfare policies based on his personal observations.
Do not give the homeless money. I'm going to share a shocking truth I learned directly from the horse's mouth yesterday about the homeless. So maybe you're generous and kind, maybe you want to help people, maybe you suffer when you think about people that are homeless. You're a good person, you want to help, as do I. I was walking down in my local town centre yesterday where there's quite a lot of homeless people, by the way, I think the government can do so much more and I think a lot of people who are homeless, they need education, they need to support to go back to work, because I believe a lot of them probably do want to work. I'm sure it doesn't do their self worth any good to be on the streets, but I learned a shocking truth about the homeless and why you should not give them money. So I was in town yesterday and there's these new community workers that work in our local city. So you have the kind of police, community support workers, but then you have the local council support workers that work in our city. And it turns out that one of them I knew, he's an old boxing trainer friend of mine, and I waved at him and said hello and the three of us had a chat. Now, I won't mention their names, but I said, isn't it sad that there are so many homeless people on the streets? How can we help them? Why can't we get them off the streets? And he said, they, they don't want to be off the streets. They make a really good living begging. In fact, and get this, this is a shocker. Many of the Homeless people make £150 a day begging. £150 a day. Apparently most of them have a home. Legally, they can't get them off the streets. They're there begging on the streets and they make 150 a day. Now, by the way, most people I know who work in a normal job, they don't make 150 a day. And by the way, they pay tax. And I don't think that the homeless and the beggars pay tax. And I said, what's the solution to this? And he said, absolutely. Do not give them money. They spend all their money on drugs, they're professional beggars, they make 150 plus a day. They, they live in a house and the solution is not to give them money. And I was absolutely shocked by this, shocked. Now, surely our councils and our governments, they know this. And it begs a wider question, because I know. Yeah, so Steve has said there Was a documentary about this a few years ago. Career beggars with day jobs check out the London stations. So there's someone who begs outside Waitrose, right? And he sits there on his phone and he's just on his phone and he's making probably 200 a day, you know, from all the old people that go and shop and Waitrose, you know, who have a conscience and don't want to see people, you know, struggling. It's almost like a scam. Now, look, let me make this clear. I'm not saying there aren't people on our streets who have real problems, you know, who have been raised really badly. I'm not saying that. But it is the government's responsibility. And yeah, Ricky has said there's two types of homeless, the homeless and the shameless. Ricky, I've not heard that one before, but, you know, this is a really. I quite like that. But you know, I've been saying for so long now in our, our government that too many people are on welfare probably, I would guess half the people on welfare actually could work. Probably do want to work. Probably don't want to be addicted to drugs, but probably needs some help. You know, all of us have found ourselves in a dark place at times. I'm not judging the homeless, by the way. Like Ricky said, there's the homeless and the shameless. There are now careerist homeless people, but that aren't homeless. They're actually begging, but they're not homeless because you assume someone sitting on the streets is homeless, but they're not. A lot of them are professional beggars making 150 to 200 a day and then spending all that on drugs. And I believe that the solution, because the government spend our money on welfare. Imagine if the government took our money and used it to train people on the streets, help people on welfare back to work instead of just giving them money. Wouldn't that solve things like we're in a crisis right now in the world, we need labor, we need people to work, we need people to build, we need people to create. Instead, we've got a very high rising unemployment and we've got a very high rising welfare. And instead of spending billions on giving money to people who are perfectly able to work, who are. Here's the thing, right? These people are begging, they're making 150 and 200 a day and they're getting welfare and they've got a house and they're not paying tax. So I reckon people who are earning 35 grand a year in a job are Earning net less than people on welfare, professionally begging, it's madness. Now, like I said before, I get a load of hate. I'm not, you know, ranting about not helping people on the streets who really suffer, you know, but is this not what a government is supposed to do? To govern, to help, to support? And it beggars belief. And there is enough housing for these people to be housed there and there is enough money in government which they squander, but there's enough money to help people get back on their feet. So I did a little experiment. I went in town and I, I recorded some videos via TikTok and I sat and I talked to people because I'm quite well known in my local city. And so when I go and do these live videos on the street, I get a lot of people that come around me and when I give money away and you see a lot of people come around you and I have said to so many people who are on the streets, homeless, I said, why don't you get a job? And they say it's not worth it. What do you mean? Well, it's not worth working because I get enough on welfare. Or some people say, well, I can't work. But I look at them, they're walking around, they're fine, they're quite happy to, you know, be in my videos. And I reckon that they could work, it just depends on the type of job. So someone has said it. Beg us, believe it's unbelievably crazy what's going on in the world right now. I blame the government on this. And as much as it sort of saddens me to say, because there are genuinely some people who are struggling and who need help, but the help money is not going to help people who are spending it on drugs. And be careful because on the streets there are professional beggars who get welfare. They have a house, they go on the streets, they beg, they make 150 plus a day and they don't pay tax and they're having it away and they're sort of gaming the system a bit. But in a way you can't blame people for gaming the system when the system is wrong and the system doesn't work. So if you see people in the streets, give them a book, give them my book money, buy them some food. And if you agree with me on this, share this video because look, I will go and consult for the government for free. I believe the government have completely ruined our nation, ruined our economy. But the past doesn't have to dictate the future. And I think there's some simple things that the government can do, some simple reallocations of capital. So for example, get rid of the tax system. Fire a load of the politicians who justify this really expensive and complicated tax system which is thousands of pages long and charge a flat 20% for everyone on income. Get rid of capital gains tax so that we all invest in assets and therefore, you know, our economy and our structure grows in value. Charge a flat 20% for anyone on the street. So if people want to beg, they have to pay 20% tax and billionaires pay 20% tax. At the moment, beggars pay nothing and billionaires pay 4%. It's wrong. The system's completely wrong. It's a simple solution and with welfare make it really hard for people to claim benefits. And when people try and claim benefits, give them a chance to educate them, to get a job, to find work and reinvest the money better. Instead of just giving the money to people to become dependent. Why don't you invest in their apprenticeships and their education so they can work? Because I reckon they want to work anyway. Let me know what you think in the comments. Should you give money to the homeless? Is this sort of homeless pandemic? Is this something that the government have caused and created? And are there better ways to look at how we allocate capital and resources instead of just creating more people on welfare? The more people that get obese, the more they're going to be a drain on the welfare state. I mean people are living longer anyway. So we've got to support all those people. We should be supporting the right people and not enabling the wrong people. But I only learned this yesterday and I was completely shocked. But there many people who beg are careerist beggars making 150 to 200 a day and they're on welfare and they have a house and it's just, it's mad. They earn more net than someone who has a 35 grand job. No wonder they wouldn't get a job. So much wrong with the world right now and I just wanted to have a little bit of a rant about it. I'd love your thoughts in the comments and I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing this because I think the world is fucked right now. Let me know what you think in the comments. Hit the share button.
