Katie, how much money have you made in your whole career? Work it out.
People have asked me this, I've been in the rich list and the Times list, whatever this list, that list. Nobody knows what anyone earns, no one's involved in anyone's bank accounts. I still make really good money. I've made good money and I wouldn't know to the penny what I've had, what went. But I know that most of it's gone on lawyers, right? Lawyers, agents and exes.
Lawyers and exes.
Lawyers, exes and agents is what I'd say. That's where the money goes.
And that'd be a great title for a book, Lawyers, Exes and Agents.
Because if I knew the knowledge I have now and I could bring it back to my younger self, that would have been amazing tool to have.
Yeah, well I want to talk about lawyers, agents and exes in a moment. Yeah, but let's get rough. Figure is, are we talking 10 million in your career?
A hundred million said I've never discussed money, what I earn, because I think it's the root to a weevil. I've learned that people have come and gone in my life, used, abused me for money or what they can get out of me, or what trips they can get or if you're in a nightclub, you get the table, you fit the bill. This I've been there, been used and abused, but I've never ever discussed what I'd get for a job or what I've earned. Cuz I find that for me unattractive. So that shut you up, didn't it?
Well, I've got more questions. Shut me up.
No, I don't mean it like that, but I've never. Yeah, I've earned a lot of money in my time but had to give a lot away and you know, went through the bankruptcy bit cuz I had a breakdown and in a way that woke me up, sorted myself out and I've come out the other end and I'm so grateful in a way that I went through a bankruptcy but there's so many types of different bankruptcies. You know, loads of companies can go in bankruptcies and then they get businesses and build it. But I think there's a stigma around bankruptcy that you lose everything and this and that. That wasn't the case with me. With me it was hmrc and it started off because I had a company called Jordan Limited and to do with tax and then they said that because it's not my real name, it was all to do with tax because it wasn't my real name. Even though it's still me. It's all complicated. Sort of started from then and then I was going through a really bad relationship of massive betrayal where cheating was going on and it just got the better of me. And I thought that he was dealing with everything, all monies, paying stuff, doing all of that. And I started my breakdown. Then I self medicated on coke, which everyone was so shocked about.
How long ago was this?
Started about six years ago. But I'd never touched that stuff. That's not for me. And I think everyone was shocked. Like Kate, she don't do that. Which I never have done. You would think being 30 years in the industry, going clubbing back in the day, everyone did it. Yeah, I was always the ones like, no, don't need it, I'm, I'm got my own energy or alcohol, I'm a lightweight. And I think that's when it got the better of me at home doing that. Then I ended up in the priory twice. Not because of coke, but because of the breakdown. And they said that I had severe, I needed severe traumatic rehabilitation. So I've obviously got PTSD through trauma and then being diagnosed with adhd, which I, I didn't really need to be diagnosed. I think it was pretty obvious. I've had that especially looking at my school reports. Yeah, I had it bad and yeah, I'd been through so much before and all of that but I can sit here now because yeah, I've gone through so much like ridiculous amount. Not just dealing with things on my own, but then it's double worse when the media have their speculations on things and they write stuff, what they think's going on. So it's like normally like a normal person, if there's something going on in their life, they just have it between their family and friends, not even their neighbors. And that will know. But when it's someone in the industry like myself, it's magnified. Everything is out there. And in my head when I had the breakdown, it was like I just went into one. If I got Texas, I'd ignore it, not communicate to anything. Literally shut down. And by not communicating everything gets worse, worse, worse, worse, worse. And then you think, how am I going to get out this? You can't, can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then I tried to hang myself and I woke up with black eyes. My phone down the toilet. I had a microphone wire around my neck, didn't want to be here. That was about four years ago, just didn't want to be here. And then, you know, and with the family and that. I'm like, yeah, I'm fine, I'm fine. When really I wanted to say to everyone, I'm not okay. And when I did Loose Swimming, I was at my worst. And none of them knew. None of them knew. And it's weird because they probably wouldn't have me back now. And Loose Women and I feel like saying, but you actually had me at my worst when I was self medicating and that. And none of you even knew. Do you know what I mean?
But did they not know? Because.
No, because I was good at putting on a front. Putting on a front and that.
It's not the Botox that stops the face from moving.
No, I've had surgery for that one cut, pulled, sewn. But yeah, I could sit here for hours and talk about everything I've done in my life. And I've definitely been through it all through the mill. And I definitely am a survivor. I've never asked for sympathy, don't want sympathy. And I think what makes you a good person, you go through these situations and you learn from them, but by having therapy. Because I never had therapy to help me with situations and I wish I did. I know my triggers. And what are they? Triggers. Well, exes are triggers, which you want to talk about. Exes, management, the his lot of stuff in the history. Because you would mention something and straight away I'd think of something that would trigger me off. I could be watching telly and someone could be having an affair on it or with their best friend or something. And then I'd sit there and think, oh my God, that's happened to me. You know when I watch, because I like thrillers and crime, because I was held at gunpoint in South Africa. And if I watch stuff like that, I can watch it because I love watching crime. That's my thing. And you know, like when you watch a horror film and someone's in the car, they're like, that's the key. Oh, trying to get it to escape. I've been in that situation. So I watch that and then I flick. My brain flicks off in South Africa. But I've learned how to deal with situations. I don't know how I've done it through therapy and normally before, because I didn't know how to control my impulsiveness. If someone said anything about me, I'll just be straight on Instagram, ranting.
Yeah.
And now I've realized, just say nothing, breathe, count to 10 and just let it go and you feel more stronger and powerful because then no one knows what cards you're playing and keep them to yourself. She's now grown a bit wiser somehow.
So when you went bankrupt, did you lose everything?
No, they kept going on about my house. My house was nothing to do with my bankruptcy.
Is that something the media got wrong, you mean?
Yes, nothing to do with it. So the reason I got out of my house is because before I did Mucky Mansion, I was there with my ex husband. So much stuff went on and my house was actually sitting there for about a year and a half, just I wasn't living there, I just couldn't go in there. And I was introduced to a guy who said, why don't we turn your house into a wedding venue because you've got stables. We could put new market horses there, foals. We'll do a big gallop track in your fields and where your tennis court is, we knock that down, we build you a brand new five bedroom house and you can use your house as a wedding venue. Showed my mum all the stuff, all legit, had his architect there, all the drawings, all the planning, I mean, I don't know what's real and what's not. And it sold us the dream. So he started getting everything at my house, putting scaffolding up on my house, knock my tennis court down. And every time I go to the house there was all diggers in the field and I was filming an ITV show at the time. So they would film me going to the house. And I've got this man on camera, he's called Andrew Chatters and what was the other name he gave me? Andrew Chatters. And Andrew, Andrew George. And he had it all on T shirts, he all looked legit and even on camera saying, yeah, we're doing the wedding venue, we're doing all this and that. And then one day when we went to the house to film, I went out in the fields and I thought, what, what is actually going on here? This doesn't look like it's a gallop trap. And one day I went into the field and we was all like, this doesn't look right. And then anyway left it. I thought, no, it's all legit, we've got all the paperwork. And then he said he's got a place in Turkey, why don't I take the family over there? He said he's got this big house in Turkey, his family always go, that goes there. So he's like, okay, we'll go over there Showed us all pictures of what we thought this place was like turned up and it was nothing like the pictures, not even its own swimming pool. So we started questioning, thinking, this isn't right. And then he said, oh, we're going to go to this restaurant, my friend owns it. Anyway, he'd obviously advertised, I was going. So it ended up being a pa and I thought, what is going on here? And we got pictured in the back of a taxi. Then it made the papers and that's when people messaged me and said, oh my God, Kate is with this fraudster. I had no idea. He's been in prison twice for doing what he's done to me. He does it to everyone. He fly tips on your fields. So my 14 acres, 8 foot deep, jam packed, fly tipping with all kinds of stuff, shingle rubbish, everything. And the council kept writing, this is, I'm saying this because this is part of the bankruptcy, why the papers have got it wrong and never really printed this. And then the council kept writing. I'd say to my mum, he goes, no, it's under control that mum, with the planners and all of that. And I said, but there's, there's not giving me permission to build a five bedroom house here. Oh, I'll take control. Then we caught him out and then I'm left with the house, cancel on my case, saying, you've got to get rid of all this flying tip and it's contaminated this and that. And I'm like, but it wasn't me that's done, done it. He's conned me. We've had all the paperwork, we've had everything. Cut the long story short with them, called the police and this was around the time when all the more crap was coming out about the husbands. Then I've got that the husband. And then my head started going all like this. And then obviously when you buy a house, you've got a mortgage, it has to be your house, has to be how it is on the deeds. You can't change anything unless you got permission. So basically they were saying, I've got to clear it all. So we had, they, they worked it out, the council and all of that. They said he'd earn about 1.2 million from fly tipping. And we had quotes. It was going to cost me about 6, 700 or 800 grand, different firms to get it all back, right? So in my head it's like, first of all, that's 800 grand. There's lots of things I would spend 800 grand on. I'm Putting it on my field just to get it how it was, how am I going to gain? It's not going to add value to the house or anything like that, but it's constant. When they're on your case, on your case, then sending you letters, you know you need to get it done. And then the mortgage company on my case, because the council contacted them, if you don't do it, we're going to repossess you. This, that, and I don't even know much on the mortgage either. And the house was worth more than what I owe them on the mortgage. So cut the long story short, end of low. Last summer it was. I thought, you know what? I don't even want this house. I hate this house. It's badness, it's haunted. I've had nothing but bad luck here. Not everyone likes the house. Even my dad wouldn't sleep in my house because it was haunted. He had a bad feel. So they bought a house in Isle of White and had a motorhome on my driveway. They would sleep in that. Not in my house. No. Everyone hated it. So I thought, you know what, I'm going through the bankruptcy and all of that, trying to sort everything out. I thought, you know what? One thing I could get rid of is the house. So in a way, they done me a favor because I don't know who would buy that house. 1. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy it, but there's a catch to it. And I know they keep bringing my name up, oh, our house is price dropped. It's because whoever buys it has to sort out the fly tipping. That's why I don't want it. And it's an old house, lots of things, pipes. This is an endless money pit. So I was like, do you know what? I'll give the keys, but I don't want it. You can have it back. You can repossess it to call it whatever. I'll give the keys back. And that's what I did. It's the best thing I ever do. Cleared that. My first bankruptcy is done. My second one ends in March. I'm in a nice new house.
And what are these for? Are the these. Oh, it's just for owing tax.
Just tax? Yeah.
What, unpaid tax?
Yeah, from when I had a breakdown. I thought all my finance would be sorted out with my ex and all of that, but nothing was. You always find everything after. But you know what? I'm not. I'm not even worried about it because you can, once you start communicating. And this is what People don't do. If you communicate, let them know this situation. I had evidence of everything. Breakdown in and out of the Priory, mental health. You know, if you don't tell them the truth, how is anyone going to understand if they think you're just ignoring them, being arrogant and thinking you could just do it? Of course it's going to wind people up. So they've had it all and I just worked out a plan with them and that's it.
So now you're paying them back over.
A period of time, ends in March. So. Right, done, that's it. But the papers, they like to say bank, but I earn such good money and I always will earn good money. So unless my mental health is in a good way and I'm not in a good way, then I won't deliver at work. But I've been through it all and I've come out the other end and I will never let any man, person, anything, ever get me in that state. I've got rid of so many people out my life, so many people changed where I live, so there's no triggers of anything. And that's the best thing I ever did, Absolute best thing. And getting out that house, I can't even tell you what weight is lifted off my shoulder. Bankruptcy and stuff like that. Look, I'll always earn money, so it's not a big issue. It's just a pain in the ass when the media keep going bankrupt. Bankrupt. It's like so many people going to bankruptcy. But why do they just pick on me every day? People go in it, but it is what it is and I can't control what the media. Right.
And so do you think the problem wasn't your ability to earn money, it.
Was managing money, it was the communication and managing it then. Yeah.
And you would outsource the management of your money?
Because I've had people in my life who I thought was sorting out money, right. They've had a dip in the pot.
And you mean agents, lawyers?
Oh, yes, that's what I mean. When you earn a lot of money, you. It's not like you go in your account and see what you got, because you earn it. It's always coming in. So you don't really check anything. You're just like, it works fine. I trust them. Next job's coming up, you don't trust it. And this is why I try and educate younger people now, is always being, control yourself, always whatever anyone tells you. Always check. For example, if you've got a manager, you want to see their Invoice to the people. Because how do you know you're really getting what they're telling you? Because I've had that as well. And then I find out.
What have you had specifically?
But just, just for an example, save an agent said oh I've got 100 you 100 quid for that job. And then when you're not with them and then you find out the truth and you see it in your hand that no, you might have got a grand for that job but they only told you got 100. I mean this is a real scenario but I've been in scenarios like that. I remember when I got my first mortgage when I was 18 and I had a contract with the son for three months. My agent, Helen Smith at the time I said oh, I need my son contract to show the mortgage company what money I've got. Said oh I'll send it to you, I'll send it to you. She told me it was 25 grand. And you know, I was 18 and for me that was massive because I was training to be a nurse before that, so I was on nurses wages. So to suddenly do page three and then getting these contracts, it was big money but she wouldn't send it to me. So then I contacted the son, I said I need my contract. They sent it to me and it was 50 grand I got. So she ripped me off 25 grand.
So she took 25, you got 25 but you thought she was only getting 20 and she got 50.
Yeah, my contract was 50 grand. Yeah, she only time was 25 grand.
So she took 25 and then took.
A percentage of mine?
Yeah. Of your 25, yeah. So she took more than half?
Yes.
And agents are supposed to take 20.
Yeah.
And is this happen to you a lot?
You see book agents take 15.
Yeah. And these sort of things happen to you a lot?
So much that now, because I'm the kind of person who's. I used to be a quite an oversharer and that doesn't get me anywhere either. So now I'm more shrewd. Like trust? No, I don't trust anyone unless it's in contract. My lawyers have read through it and I've had people see them their invoices. So everything now is absolute legit where before it obviously wasn't. Because when you earn money everyone has their little hand and it starts off small, then they get greedy out and greedy and that's how they get caught. Same with a perfume deal I had with Jigsaw. They owe me a quarter of A million pound? Yeah, we'll pay you next week. Pay you next week. Pay you next week. Come to the Monday. And my brother said, they've gone into liquidation and done a run of my money. That was Jigsaw, who. I had my perfume besotted, stunning and all that of quarter of a million.
So, you know, never got any. You never got any money?
No, they went back around. I didn't get it.
So you lost a quarter of a million.
But if they did, then when the bankruptcy things, I could have just paid it off with that and then I wouldn't have been in a mess. Do you know what I mean? Everything I look at in the past, if I had it all, then I would have been able to get out the situation that I was in. It's such a long story. It's so complicated with everything but anyone up and coming. Agents rip you off, lawyers rip you off, and whoever you meet on the way, whether it's a friend, relationship, they're always nice to you. Split, and then they're greedy and then they slam you. But they don't slam you when they're with you because they've all got the high life and the nice life. I just got no time for anyone. I don't trust anyone anymore, which is a shame. Takes a lot for me to get a trust from anyone. But how I am sitting here today, I know my worth. I know what I've got to give. And I'm not being a fool anymore because I'm. Why do you think I've been married three times? Because I fall for it so quick. I'm so gullible, needy, needed validation. I've had all the therapy. I don't need validation from anyone anymore. I'm my own person. And if anything, I've got a lot to give to people. And I've never been a taker, ever. I'm always a giver. But now it's like, yeah, take your time with everything. There's no rush for anything.
So do you manage yourself now? No.
Agent manage myself like my sister and brother. They. Because obviously through Instagram that they've got an email, so it goes to them. They go through all my contracts and stuff like that, and then they sit down with me and if we need a lawyer to look over it, we do it. So it's all legit, all done. They've got my best interests, all bank accounts are all legit. Everything. Suggest I know where everything is. I could just say, what? Can I have a statement for that? I get monthly statements I've got it all. I'm so old fashioned. I don't like computers and that. I have clipboards. I'm so sad with the plastics. And put all my A4 papers in them because that's how I like it.
Okay. And then lawyers.
Lawyers. I've had them for divorces, litigations, book deals, work deals.
Have you spent more than a million pounds on lawyers?
Are you joking? A lot more. A million? I wish.
10 million.
I wouldn't have a clue. But it is the millions, yeah.
You spent millions on lawyers. Do you feel like you've got your value for money?
I had a flat that I bought off. Off, what you call it, off plan. I had one opposite the My5 building. St. George Wolf bought that and from one of them, they took that off me as well. I've had it all and I'm like, have it then. It's evil money. I call it evil money. Have it if it makes you feel better. I don't care what anyone has. I know. Put me in a shed in a field and I'll grow it the garden, make it an empire again. And that's the kind of person I am. And I am now I've proved everyone wrong. Come out the other end. And that's also a time when you know who are your real friends. When you're in a situation with the media and everyone's slagging you off. And now I've come out the other end, everyone's starting to want to know and I'm thinking, no, you can go yourself. You didn't want to know me then, so you can off now. Don't need you in my life. You weren't there for me when I needed you. Not needed them for money, support and understanding, but. So, yeah, now that seed has grown and the empire's back, like, yeah, I'm. I'm just so excited. I never thought I'd see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm back now with the knowledge, the experience, and I know what I want to do now, so.
All right. So there's a couple.
I do talk a lot, don't I?
It's all right. This, you're allowed.
I love a little puff of my little Mary Pineapple eyes.
I'll have a little sip of my water.
I hate that because I don't know which is the new one. Do you know I call these my dad. Anyone who vapes, by the way, my mum's had her lung transplant plant. Right.
And you're still vaping.
And she's never smoked. I have never smoked. I'm not a smoker. Year ago smelling all these. What people do. And I got the taste. And it's only this one I like. So I'm getting my lungs checked next month. When my mum went. Not because I think there's something wrong with my lungs because what my mum had just to check. And when he was on the phone to me because I had to do a zoom before you. They see you. He said if anyone was going to start anything smoking or vaping, even though advises none, he said smoke, not vape. He said, these are so bad for you. And a lot of people now are going to have having lung conditions because of these and they don't know enough about them. And you would think me being told that I wouldn't do it. And I'm still weird. Look, I've got three of them in case I lose one. I am. I've never been addicted to anything but these. I am. There you go. You learned something about me. Addicted to vapes.
Right. Divorces. I want to go back through a couple of the other things and then we move on.
So just don't get married because it costs more to divorce. Well, in my case, anyway.
So how many divorces have you had? Three. Okay. And if they cost you millions.
The last one didn't because the information I had on him, he wouldn't want out.
So what you just did you just walk away?
Yeah, but.
But the lawyers still got paid, did they?
Yeah, but he still took stuff, jewelry stuff. There's so much he did take. So he got a good payout that way.
Okay.
Second one tried, but I had to get out of that situation rapidly because.
What does that mean?
I only want to be married to one person, not a double person with two sides to them.
Right.
And the first one, that was expensive. Very.
Millions.
That's. That cost me millions. Yeah. So save the both ways. I think it did.
Right.
Lawyers.
Yeah.
So I had Fiona Shackleton. She'd done the Paul McCartney one. Fact. I've used her twice.
Right.
Very expensive.
Yeah.
And I didn't get everything that I wanted out the divorce. I ended up being the one paying out again.
So if the first one cost you millions, why did you do the second one?
Because I don't want to be with someone who's a cross dresser.
But you don't have to marry.
I didn't know.
Right. Okay. So if the second one didn't work, why did you do the third one?
Rebound.
Right.
And they were. They weren't marriages to Me. They were rebounds, impulsiveness and being fooled. Loved, bombed. Never again.
Oh, love bombed.
That's bad.
Yeah. Really?
By a narcissist. Love bombed. So, and this is the thing. Whenever I meet someone, everyone's like, when are you going to marry? When you're going to marry? And the answer is, I am not rushing anything anymore because I've been so burned every time. And no.
So if you could do one thing differently about your previous relationships, what would you do?
Not have met him. To be quite frank, it's the truth. Didn't get anything out of it. All right. The first one was manipulated by the manager and what we could and couldn't do. And that when I look at it.
It'S sad, really, because your manager controlled your relationship.
She's one of the reasons. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Manipulated. There was three of us in that marriage. Yeah. We did all okay deals. TV stuff. That's all fantastic. But when I look back, what did we actually really do ourselves? What wasn't with the camera or magazines, what the manager was making us do? She was rubbing her hands, made gold.
Wow. Okay. So other than not meeting any of them, what would you do differently if you could go back?
I think if I could go back. I think when you've been in relationships from your first relationships that are abusive, mental abuse, controlling, coercive, gaslighting, I think when you've been conditioned to that, you sort of go to more toxic. I don't. You just get used to that kind of thing. So when I look back, I would say all of my relationships and I've done this with the therapists, have either been controlling, coercive, gaslighting, jealousy, mental abuse, physical abuse. Every single one has had them elements. So I never knew what a healthy relationship was. So when I done a domestic abuse course, it made me realize what a healthy relationship is. It's healthy if you want to go out for your friends. It's healthy if you don't see the person every day. Like, you've got to have your own life without saying what time you're back. What you doing? This. That. You're not doing that. Job. You're not doing that. Why are you doing that? Who are you talking to? Who's that? Oh, it's draining. I can't have that again. Too old for that. I'm 46 now. Too old for that.
Financially. If you could go back before all the divorces and the bankruptcy, what would you do differently with money, financially?
Do you know what? There's not really a lot I've changed because I've done a hell of a lot in my life and it's easy for me to say, oh, if I went back, I would have been more shrewd this, that. But I was young, I was new in the industry, thrown in it just like that. It was like overnight, just busy, busy, busy. So I could just say that I've learned my lesson and I'm still earning good money and onwards and upwards. And I've got lots of stuff coming up that's good money.
Do you invest? Do you learn how to manage your money?
I am now.
So would you do that differently, maybe.
Get better education stuff everywhere? But little did I know there was a little hook because other people set it up for me and then do runners with it.
Right.
Because I never checked anything.
So is the lesson to manage your own money yourself?
Manage everything myself. And it's so much peaceful because I know now I won't let anyone do anything. No way. And people you thought you could trust, who you really thought you could trust has snitched you. Jesus, then where do you go from there? So I'm not going to complain because I've earned so much. Shitloads of money.
100 million.
I don't know. I know you want to figure, yeah, you're not going to get one. You can keep up and try.
I've driven four hours, you can try five.
Okay, let me say this. What would it change what I say I've earned? How would it change?
Well, you said you're very open and you know, discuss.
I don't go to the point because.
I think it gives. It gives context.
Spent like quarter of a million on a horse. Like, I'm not a flash person, but when it comes to horses. And I've spent shitloads on horses.
Yeah.
And nice cars because I love cars and horses. I'm not one to spend on designer clothes and designer shoes. I know I've got them there, but I've more. I'd rather look poor and have shitloads of money because I think that's more endearing to walk in somewhere for tracksuit trainers. Who cares? I've been there, done it where I've had the Ferrari up the road. Everyone looks. That's the thing you do when you're young in it. Like now. Only because I can't get insured on a nice car.
Why not?
Of my driving bands and that. And because of who I am.
So no one will insure you on a car?
No. So even my pink Range Rover I got Khan to Do it. On my very first Range Rover, I paid a hundred and forty three, zero zero zero for it outright.
Yeah.
And two years later, I sold it and I only got like 40 grand or whatever for it.
Yeah.
So I learned my lesson then.
What?
Cars devalue very quick.
They do.
And then last year I saw it for sale and she's got two of my Range Rovers. I. I was like, no, I want my original one that I designed because even the crystal buttons that bought it, it's not brand new. It's. I think it's an 11 plate.
Yeah.
But the fact it was sentimental to me because it was pink. I did it or bought it, got my driving license.
And how much you pay for it when you bought it.
Remember, it's only like 20 grand.
Yeah.
And. But it wasn't about how much it was worth. It's the fact I found.
Yeah.
My baby.
But the point is it's much better value buying it a few years old than it is brand new.
But for me, it's sentimental. I wish I never got rid of it. It was my favorite Range Rover, favorite shape and all of that got my license back for. Right. I can get back in my pink car. No insurance company will insure me because of who I am. They want.
Is it. Is it because of who you are? Because you've had all the driving.
I put down author. And then when they see the name Katie Price, and then they're like, oh, then you. They make you phone about because you could get insurance online and you get really far. And then they're like, oh, no, you have to have a phone call. And then you're like, oh, because now they're gonna ask questions. And then they're like, is it Katie Price? This? Well, you can't, you can't lie on insurance because if you have an accident, you're not covered. So you can't, you can't lie. And I don't advise anyone to lie. So if you killed someone or done something.
Yeah.
You're not insured, then you're in big. You can go prison and that for that.
But why is it a problem that it's you when they come.
This is it. And I said it's discrimination. Let me tell you what, what I'm doing on this.
All right?
So I've got the car there all excited. Obviously I can't get one on HP and all that. And I wouldn't anyway because you owe all them money. I'd rather just buy things outright. And so I don't owe. I just don't want to owe anyone money. Been there. I just don't want to do it, have it tagging over me because when you die you can't take it with you. And I'd rather my kids and that have the money than bloody tax inheritance and all that. So all insurance company, we have three quotes. They won 150 grand down and 8 grand a month for my insurance. They won 150 grand down. Free insurance. Admiral was one of them. Who was the other? There was three.
We went to 100 on a 20 grand car.
Yes. They want 150 grand down and eight grand a month. So I'm like.
But that surely can't just be because you're catching price.
I promise you I've got all the paper.
How many times, how many times you've been banned from driving?
6.
Well, maybe it's that as well.
That wasn't. That was totting up and back in the day. Yeah, but the reasons was back in the day I got banned is because I had paparazzi following me and I went to court with one of them because I'm like, I'm trying to escape them. And I remember they got the cameras off the M25 because I made them look at the date and the time of the ticket. And you can see in the video, I'm in the car and you can see the three cars around me who were paps like that with me on the road, right. Scared from my life with these men in it following me, being dangerous driving and I'm like, I wanted to escape them. So yeah, if I don't put my foot down. But they don't care, no one cares. They're like, if you're in the public eye, you're in the public, you have to deal with it. And no you shouldn't just because I'm a person.
So you've had. So what you're saying is you've had speed and tickets doing that stuff like that.
Yeah, and I just.
But for six bands that would have to be like 24 tot ups, wouldn't it?
Yeah, something like that. And then obviously the drink driving one. But I went in the private, I was supposed to go in the private before that and I shouldn't have done that but that shows my mental state of just up the road and I hold my hands up for that and I've never drink driven in my life and never would again, I never did before that. So that's how much it is. And I thought, well, how am I going to drive Then what? What am I going to do? Because who's going to pay eight grand.
A month and 150 grand.
And 100. I could rent a massive, like, pad for that. And it rocked. Just to get. Drive me to my horses or drive me to take the kids to school, whatever.
So what do you do?
Well, guess what? I did. Ding, ding, ding. Pricey's head went, right, there's got to be a solution here. So I went to Enterprise where you rent a car. As if I was like, dodgy, like, oh, with my license. And I'm like, please, please, please to rent a car. I said, I need to rent a car. But you can only do it every 28 days. That's fine. I just want to be able to drive a car. I haven't driven for four years. I want to drive a car. So I said, what have you got? I said, I want the biggest Jeep, the biggest, nicest car that you've got. And I've never had a credit card in my life. Don't have credit cards. It's always debit straight from my bank. So to have a more up class one, you need a credit card in your name. And I'm. I've never had a credit card. I've never needed one now when I look. But that's one thing I would have done to get your credit scoring up, because it is. Because I've always just paid for things and they're like, yeah, we've got one. We've got a Nissan Jeep. I said, can I get it in black? And is it automatic? They went, yeah, yeah, we'll have a look if you've got your driving license. And I remember handing it over, thinking, please, please. I said, yep, that's fine. I went, what? I can have the Nissan. They went, yeah. I went, oh, my God, you are a lifesaver. And they're looking at me like, what? Like, probably never seen anyone so happy in their life. And it's all legit. I rent the car. It's a 40 grand car, automatic, black. Okay. I'm not a snob, but I'm used to nice cars. But I got in the car, all the dash, all digital. And I thought, you know what, Kate, this grounds you. Does it really matter if you're in a Range Rover or a Bentley or bloody Ferrari? You're in the car. You've now got your independence back. Start one thing at a time. So I'm chuffed driving around in a rent car, even though the Range Rover sits on the driveway. And I thought, this year I'll be able to buy myself like a nice convertible Bentley or something like that. But that's out the window because I can't get insured, so I have to make do. So that's how I'm back on the road. So if anyone sees me in the blackness, Sam, please wave. What else can I do? I had to think out the box. But it makes me think how corrupt things are because I'm in driving a car that's more expensive and brand new than my own car that I want to insure but no insurance company will insure me on it yet. I can go and rent a car that's 40 grand and includes all insurance and it's like 800 pound a month tax, everything service. I don't get the logic in it. It is corrupt because of who I am. So go and get your head around that one. Don't think that was a smart move. I was going to go but I have to have a two week break in between. So I thought, shall I go to Hertz next and see in them two weeks? But I'm scared to give them my license to say in case they say no. But it must. Same rule must have applied to all of them in it.
So are you just saying every 28 days you just extend the rental, Is.
That what you do? Yeah, but you have to have a two week break before you do it. So in them two weeks I'm like, oh, I can't drive.
Right. But you could keep swapping cars and have different cars, I suppose.
Yeah, but with Enterprise you can only do it every 28 days.
Yeah.
And if you want to do a continuous one, you have to have a credit card. It's just all these little angles. I'm finding out where I can help anyone else, if I can help anyone else out there who's in the same sort of situation. Although there's only one me in that situation. There's not another case of price, is there? Who's probably been banned six times and, yeah, gone through the bankruptcy and this.

But onwards and upwards. Every step is a step is what I say.
So you were very honest when you said about four years ago you tried to hang yourself.
Yeah.
Would you mind sharing what got you to that low place.
Relationship? I think men. Not not. I think I know because I've done it in therapy. Men have been my main issue throughout everything my men choice. If I hadn't have picked the men I'd had because everything else in my life has always been amazing. Every time I meet a man it's, it's, it's men. My fault, my choice of men. I'm not blaming the men. It's the choice of men I've picked. And everyone would say that I've always like Kate, you've always picked men. You've always like why'd you pick these wannabes? You turn them into Mr. Prices. And I, when I look back, I actually have. What have I gained out of any of the. What have I actually gained? Nothing but a headache and stories done on me. So.
So what? What would be different about men moving forward? How would you choose men differently?
Healthy relationships, Spotting red flags, not having a man try and dictate me, tell me what to do, question anything. Anything. I mean they can. That I've learned what a healthy relationship. Of course you can question things otherwise you can't have a conversation. But I know what a red flag is now and if I get any hint of anything that's like whoa, I'm not having it, won't have it. And yeah. And I'm not afraid to be on my own. Obviously I'm With JJ now and family love him. He's just calm, lets me get on with it. It's only a new relationship where. Yeah, but it's so different to all the other relationships because it's not controlling, not gaslighting, no jealousy. And then I'm happy. I can go to work without having a knot in my stomach like, oh, is he gonna moan at me if I'm late? Or this, I've had it all and it's not a nice relationship. Or if I go to a garden part, you know, if your friends have got a barbecue, I can go and talk to anyone instead of sitting there thinking, oh, I really want to go and talk and I just want to be myself. I can't. I can't be in a relationship like that anymore. It's not fun, is it? And I work so hard that when I go home, I want to have a laugh, relax with the kids and, yeah, I am one of the kids when I'm at home.
Do you think there was maybe something about you or your upbringing might have attracted a certain type of man? Were the men similar and sounded like.
My first relationship was, well, who I lost my virginity to. When I look back, he should have been dumb, really. He was 25 and I was 15, but didn't lose my virginity to. I was 16 and my mum had. Hell. But when you're young, at that age and the man's got a car and he had a horse next to me, my mum was always late picking me up. So he started giving me lifts home and that's how that started. And that was a very, very abusive relationship. And it started on them.
In what way?
Hitting, mental abuse.
Oh, wow.
Cutting my clothes up. The amount of times I'd call my mum in a phone box, no clothes on, mum come and pick me up, come and pick me up. She got child protection involved. Like, everything it turn up at my work. Then police vans were caught. It was just. And then I think.
You ever recovered from that?
I don't know. I'm still doing therapy about it. Because we've realized men have been the downfall of me. That's it. If I didn't have any of them men in my life, everything else I look at has been amazing. The side that hasn't been amazing and my relationships and I always try and make them work, like give it and give it and change myself. I know you have to adapt in relationships, but to change yourself where it ends up in most of them, where you can't be yourself or talk to anyone in case they get jealous. Or this. I can't do it. I've done it too many too long. So. Yeah. Makes it go. When I look at it all. Because I'm blinking. Because I'll just see flashes of it all. Yeah. And also, it's not nice for the kids either.
You say you got five kids.
Yeah.
With different dads.
Three different dads.
Yeah.
Which isn't a problem. Although if United Colors of Benetton are watching, I'd be a great advert.
Get your money up front of them.
Yeah, exactly. Don't worry about that. We actually would. They're all multicultural like that.
Do you think you're misunderstood?
Very.
How?
Because people don't understand. I started when I was 17 and.
As a glamour model.
Yeah. I was trained to be a nurse first and then I ended up.
17'S young.
Yeah.
Did you really know what you were doing? Were you really ready?
At 17, I was just thrown in. I remember driving around London with my A to Z, like navigating around. So I grew up quite quickly. Then I'm off flying around the world doing different shoots, this, that, getting all the jobs and. And I'm still here now. So to me, it's never stopped. So I've never actually sat back and taken a breath. Apart from the Priory days when I had a breakdown, that was the only time I'd had a break from it all to really think about everything that's going on. Other than that, it's just been steam ahead, so. Never really dealt with situations I probably should have dealt with at the time. And I think what happens, it builds up, builds up, builds up to a point. There could just be one thing that tips you over the edge and then it's just all there. So all through therapy, I've had to. The way I'll say is cut my head open and just let it all out one by one. So you never forget your traumas, they just park it differently in your brain is the only way I can explain it. You don't forget things, but you learn how to deal with things.
So how are you misunderstood?
I misunderstood because the media have created a caricature. What's the word? Caricature of me. When really I'm the most down to earth, empathetic, caring person, very giving, very loving. And to the outside world, I think they think I'm very crazy, chaotic, lost the plot. Because even if I see headlines about me, I'm like, oh, she must be a mess. And it's not the truth at all. I've got a very Good family, very good support system, and had a really, really good childhood. I was just into my horses. Horses were my life and they still are. And that, that's what's kept me sane. I've never gone above my station, you know, I meet a lot of people who they might have been in a show for five minutes and they think their don't stink and they have an entourage and they're so up their ass. And I'm like, you've only been around five minutes. Like, get over yourself. Like, I've literally lived and breathed the injury. It is the media, unfortunately. I had a good relationship with the media, I really, really did. But nowadays it's just anything they can do to damage or try and tarnish me. I don't know where why that started, because I love my photo shoots, love doing my interviews, love working with the media, love winding them up, you know, and if I had a press call, I'd always dress up and they're getting something and I'm getting something. Always had a good relationship, never moaned about it. I moan about the paps because I don't agree. From being outside your house, I think whatever job anyone does, you should be able to go home to your house. That should be your safe place for anyone in any walks of life. But that doesn't happen in my world. Like, I could be walking in a car park and there could be six guys there with a camera and I'm intimidated. I'd call the police, say, look, there's six guys around me. I feel a bit intimidated. Oh, what's your name? Oh, Katie Price. Oh, is it the Katie Price? Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. There's nothing we can do if they're paparazzi. And my argument is, but if I was a normal person who wasn't in the industry, you could do them as stalking or harassment. But as soon as you're put in the category, you're in the media. There's no. Nothing in place. And I don't understand that. In my old house, I'd have drones going over my house pictured and putting the paper. Like, I could be out there sunbathing Or Harvey, because he's autistic, he likes to take his clothes off a lot or go outside naked or. Because he does that. Like, how do I know they're not over for drone and Harvey's out there naked? Like, where's the privacy? So I've been. I don't think anyone would understand, unless you're in the industry, what it's like with the media. Paparazzi. And also that ended up affecting me as well, because I'm human. I have feelings, and there is so much you can take. I'm not. I'm not as hard, like, as hardcore as people think. And I think now I let my barriers down. I feel more at ease at myself. It's. It's okay for me to say, do you know, I don't like what you're saying. It is hurting me. It's damaging my family. It's not nice for my kids to see. And it's okay for me to say, whereas before I'd be like, no, I'm fine. I don't care. Yeah. They can say what they like. I don't care. When really I do care, because I'm human and I have feelings.
Do you think the paparazzi maybe had something to do with Diana's death?
100%. Because I've been in situations where the cars are like that. Not just one. Many, many. I remember I was on the motorway once and I felt really intimidated. I had to call the police. And I hate this because it's taxpayers money. They should close the M25 to stop the paps. And they let me speed off. That's how bad it was at one point.
So how many times have you been chased by the paparazzi?
I couldn't even. They happened the other day here. There was a paparazzi. I don't want them to know where I'm staying because I've got all my kids and Harvey and that coming up. And I don't want the people where we know where we're staying, that we're staying there because we quite go in and out. Don't want to be seen.
Yeah.
So we had to try and lose them. So I'm saying to jj, right, go up that road, then go in someone's driveway just so they don't see. And then we had to do that to watch them drive past quickly turn around and drive off. It's dangerous. Your adrenaline goes. You shouldn't have to do that. Why? Why do that? Why is the picture of me walking out the theater good enough? Why do you then have to try and follow us?
So they'll chase you?
Yes.
And you think they chase Diana?
Course. Hundred percent. I know what the media are like. They are. I always say that if I had an accident, they wouldn't be there and help me. They'd get their pictures first. 100 believe that.
Wow.
Like there's. I've put it on Instagram that so many times when I'm in London. If it's not cars, it's the mopeds, because they can get around and curb it and all of that. Loads of them behind for what? For one picture. And even if they get one picture, it's not enough. They want another one and another one, and it's like. And no one can help. No one does help. I know people say, well, at least you're in the papers. It's not about. At least if I'm in the papers, I want to be safe. And you're entitled to have a little bit of privacy, especially when you're at home.
Yeah. Were you. Did you have your phone hacked, you know, through all that?
Yes.
You did.
News of the World.
Did you. Did you take them to court?
Yes.
Did you win?
Yes.
Did you get paid?
I can't remember how much.
Right. But you did.
Yeah. It was years ago.
Right.
I also won a case against, I think it was the News of the World again, a court case, that someone did a story that was so untrue about me and Pete. We went to the High Court in London and won again there. I could. I could get lawyers involved every day with stories they write, but then I'll end up earning money just to pay lawyers to get that story for an apology or what like that. That's one thing I would like to do, is go back years, pick out some headlines, because there's a lot, and actually do them and say, right, this story, where was your evidence? And on this, because that was damaging, defamatory, and assassination of my character. Because what they don't realize, the. The stories they write, if there's any potential for anyone wanting to work with me and they see headlines, it can stop you getting work. I had a panto booked in before this panto, one for October. And because they're all about the bankruptcy, they. They pulled me from it and said no, because the bankruptcy. So that stopped that job. And it's just like. Because the media, they just like to do that, so it does affect me as well.
And what percentage of stories that are written about you?
99 are fake.
Really? Yeah, they're fake. Fake Fake, as in not.
No substance. No.
Not even based on truth. Not embellished?
No.
Completely false.
Complete false.
99.
99.
How do they get away with it, then?
Because I don't do anything about it. And I got told, funny enough, the woman who wrote my book, Abby, she used to work for the magazines, and she said back in the day when she worked for them, if stories would come in about other people, they'd be like, oh, no, we can't write that. You better check with their managers, this and that. But if a story come in about me, they'd be like, yeah, just run it. Just run with it. That's how they treated me.
So if you'd have sued them earlier, harder.
Yeah, but then what can you do? I'll be doing it every day. But I watched a film about. Oh, what was the guy. He was. Oh, what was it called? He was a teacher, bit eccentric at Oxford Uni or something. And they tried him to say that he murdered someone who was renting one of his flats or a neighbor. I don't know if you remember him. He had, like, gray. He was a bit eccentric. And they said that he was the murderer. Put him all on the front of the papers. And it turned out he wasn't. And he actually sued the papers and got like eight and a half million from. From it. Because the thing is, once his name stuck on it and people remember whether he got away with it or not, people might look and think, oh, did he do it?
Yeah.
And that's it. That stigma is there. It's there, it's stuck. So if you Google me from back in the years, this. The amount of horrific stories that have been written about me and untrue stuff that still happens now, I have to, like. My technique is to learn, okay, you know the truth, your family know the truth. But it's funny if. If one really does bug me, which they do, and I out them a screenshot, and if I do out them and the journalist, then the papers ring up and say to my sister, can you tell her to take that down, please? And it's like, well, it's all right for you to write it, but as soon as I out you and your journalist who's done it, where's that?
Where you take them down? Just leave them?
No, I leave them up.
Yeah.
Why am I taking it down? Don't bite about him. And has she got the truth? And they're like, oh, a source says. The source says. What source? There isn't a source. And I. I know, I. The people around me now, it's mainly family, they're not doing stories. But it's not even that. It's the stories they write of untrue. So there's no truth in it anyway. For me to sit here and think, oh, who said that? Who's done that? There's no truth in it anyway.
What one story about you. Would you like to put the record straight?
On I. I wouldn't know what. There's so many. I wouldn't know where to. I couldn't even think of one. I bet if I Google. Oh yeah, there was a story that was coming out. They said to me two days ago here, they said, oh, the media ranging because apparently you're not doing all the shows for panto. And I said, we're just checking that you are doing. I said, of course I am. I'm here. Of course I'm doing every show. And I said, I'll put something on Instagram saying, I am doing every show. And then I thought, no, actually I won't. I'll wait for them to write the story first and if they, if they do write it, then I'll out them. But it's things like that. People just make things up like that.
Wow.
There's been times where I've had Harvey with me and I might not here where I put him, take him in a different entrance so he's not frustrated and put his blue badges in the car. And then a pat would take a picture seeing me get in the car with blue badges saying I'm using a disabled space with blue badges. But they don't say, good. Now they shouldn't. I shouldn't have to say, well, you know, it's because I've got Harvey here and I don't want you guys coming in like frightening Harvey. But then people, I get abused, oh, you're using like blue badge and you're not disabled. And then I feel like going, well, no, I did have Harvey, but I dropped him off and went and parked the car. But why do I have to justify it? I've got to the point, why do I have to justify it?
Do you sometimes think, well, this is the cost of fame.
Yeah, but the good thing nowadays is you got social media, you got your tick tocks Instagram, so you can. And I've got my podcast, so I out a lot of it on there now. The truths of everything. Back in the day, you couldn't do that. You couldn't. Didn't have anywhere to have a right of reply, but now you do and that's more powerful and satisfying doing it in a classy way.
And do you think how media's changed now with independent media like podcasts and it's. Do you think that's good for media?
No, I think the media's like, I think they've got more ruthless with their stories because they need clickbait.
Right.
So I think they got more ruthless.
So do you Think mainstream media is dying out.
Yeah.
You do?
Yeah. Everything's going online.
Yeah.
Podcast this and that.
So therefore they're.
They're more ruthless, I think now.
Right. So let's say someone is up and coming in, whatever, but let's say they're.
Well, anyone could be famous these days. Now you can get a girl or a guy. They could take pictures themselves on Instagram, not even look like them because they can reshape their bodies, face, tune and that like proper catfish. They could be famous from that. But even that itself. Why do you want to create something you're not? At least I know if I do pictures and have people meet me apart from today because I need my eyelashes and that done that I. I'm still look the same unless I've had surgery and. And I am the same. I don't resize my body, I don't do anything. And I just think you do it.
In real life, but not.
Yeah, but it's a shame that the new generation have been brought up into that bit of fakeness. But I think fame now is a different fame than what it used to be. I've worked my bollocks off to get where I am now and now I'm going with the change. There's so many people you would know, have been in the industry for so many years who have earned where they've come box. Boxers, for example, back in the day, they proper did it. Now you get it where you. These big fights of people who aren't really boxers who have just trained to do it to do a match. You'll get more money than what the boxers would get because that's just what it is now.
Yeah. And do you think that's good or bad for media?
With the media. Love it. But it's not fair. I don't think on people who have grafted, who really earn it. But I still watch them. I'll be watching the fight on Saturday. The Fury one.
Yeah.
Wait. I love to watch a boxing. Love it. I get excited.
Yeah. But the Tyson Fury is a proper fight. That one.
That one is. And I love it. Do you know of the amount of boxings I've been to live? Love it. But I prefer watching at home. She get the replays and that and the close ups. Because the amount of times I've been. Even if it's around the ring, you'll miss it and you can't see the replays. I. I'm obsessed with watching the live, proper big fights. Love it.
So you mentioned earlier about your surgery yes. How many surgeries have you had?
I don't know.
Let's count, that'll be fine.
Well, if Google, if I Google, they seem to know more than me. But let me tell you, Google don't know jack shit about my surgery procedures.
Well, put the records done.
I don't know how many boob jobs.
How many times roughly?
I don't, I actually don't know.
5.
Because I've gone from small to big, small to big. I don't know, I've been doing them since I was 18.
And how, how often roughly do you. Three, five years? Ten?
I actually don't know. Maybe I've had about eight.
Eight boob jobs.
How much down, up, down.
How much is the average boob job?
Three.
Three or three? Three grand. Oh, so get it free. So someone else, someone else owns your boobs?
No, I've got my, I've got a load of my implants at home. I was thinking of putting them in a frame actually.
So you keep your old.
I've got a load. Yeah.
Right. But how do you, how do you.
Get them free Instagram post.
Oh. So if you share who did the.
Operation, get it free and that.
Do that.
And people have got to realize, considering I've got an open book, like as if you're in a restaurant, an open. But I could flick through, I can have any surgery I want from most clinics. I don't take advantage of it as much as I could because if I did, if I really let myself go, I wouldn't even. I'd look like an alien. Quite dominant like an alien.
So you've had eight boob jobs. What would the normal boob job cost?
Even though you get, you know, abroad, they're cheaper. And England, I would never having surgery in England ever again. I don't lie. I think they're behind, I think they're expensive. I think they're rip off. Implants only cost £500.
Right.
And you can, and you hear of people getting boob jobs in England for eight to 12 grand. And if you think the implant's 500 pound, then it's consultant fees, dots fees, hospital fees and they just bump it all up. But you can go turkey and get it half the price. And this is where people need to be educated.
But. So you've had at least 50 grams of the boob jobs then?
No, not that much.
No. 8 times 5 is, but no, because.
I don't know, they're abroad. Cheaper.
Yeah. Is it a risk not higher having them done abroad?
Right. This is how I'm going to educate everyone. There's a risk wherever you go. And the reason why you read in the papers a lot about turkey and stuff going wrong is because they want you to do it all in England. Now. One thing I do say, you should always check where you're going and a good idea for what people should do. Go on the Instagram pages and then, you know, if you see people promoting it, message them direct and say, look, did you really have a problem? What was going on? Because people don't talk about, you have surgery and the in between of that and looking good, of course you suffer, course you're in pain. But a lot of these videos you see, oh, yeah, I just had my face done and I'm in no pain. It feels brilliant. Of course you're in pain. You've been bloody cut to bits, call sits sore. Tell the truth. I do tell the truth, but I'm a veteran at doing it. I mean, I've waited till my 40s veteran, but I waited to my 40s and I say to people, I've done my.
Before. You had.
Yeah.
Facial surgery.
Yeah, well, I'm 46, so I've been doing what, the past three years or something.
So what have you had done on your face then?
Oh, I just had a temple lift and hair lift.
Right. And. And how much do those cost?
I don't know because I've got it.
You get them all free as well?
Yeah.
And roughly how many face surgeries would.
You say you shouldn't have? More than one ever. You mean one year you can have one? Yeah, yeah. So with me, I've had one, not like full, but I've had like hair lifted.
Right.
And now once you've done that, then if there's little tweaks you want, they're just easy to do.
Right. And then what about lips?
Oh, I had my lips done when I was 21. Hated it, looked like a duck. But I think that's progressed more and more through the years. Yeah. So I have my lips done. I don't have filler in my face.
No.
Because I had that years ago. It's awful. I think it makes you like that. And I think a lot of girls these days are all looking the same. Girls in their early 20s or 18 year olds to early 20s. And that worries me because what are they going to look like when they're my age? At least I've waited to my 40s. I know I had my boobs done, but when it comes to your face, that's a different Ball game. You're pumping all this in your face.
Yeah.
How do they know what's going to happen in years to come?
What about tattoos?
Oh, I'm obsessed. I don't know what's happened there. Even my mum's like, what. What next are you going to do to yourself? I'm like, I don't know, Mum. You got to have one child that is discombobulated and does this and that. But why? What goes through your head? I don't know.
Try and answer it. What? What goes through your head?
I like it. I don't know. I've never had tattoos. Oh, yes. I did my first tattoos when I was 17, a pink bow on my back. And then I had a pink heart on my little thing, my finger and my thief. And then all the others have been. Yeah, probably the past 10 years.
Tattoos, they cost hundreds to that. I mean, I. I've never had anything.
Done in Thailand, actually.
Right. And you get them all free as well?
No, no, no. But they're not. They're not expensive anyway.
Right. What about weight loss? You do anything for weight loss.
That. This is another thing. So people have said, I've lost loads.
You have lost a lot of weight?
Yes.
Yeah.
Now there's a program coming out in January, my IVF Journey. Anyone you know who's had IVF you put on weight? I had three IVFs the past 15 months. They all failed. And it started from when I broke my feet. They said I'd never run again, so I couldn't run, wasn't exercising, couldn't ride my horses. So basically I'm in a wheel. I was in a wheelchair for 10 months, said I couldn't walk again. This happened around Covid time. So obviously you're going to put on weight because you're not moving about. Then I had to learn to walk again again, but slowly. I still can't run now, so I've got screws in my feet. And then I did ivf, pumped all my stuff and it takes ages for it to get back out your body. But I say to people, if you look at old pictures of me, even after I've had babies, I just shrink back. I've always been tiny and I think because the past sort of three years I've been bigger, but they're the reasons why.
Right.
And now I've gone like bachelor, not on the ivf. That's all come out. And I'm more active because I could do more because of my feet and I'm horse riding again then naturally. So you don't have going back athletic.
You don't have a zpic or anything like that.
No, but Harvey's going on that.
Right.
So I've had to sit there of the doctors and I think when it comes to things like that, I think because of Harvey and all medication and that that he has, I think people have to be really careful with things like that. I don't need Zen pit. I never have done. I've always been skinny. Look at old pictures of me. Always been tiny.
Yeah.
But the past three years, or was it four? When did I break my feet? Might have been.
How did you. How did you break your feet?
I was on holiday with the kids and there was a bush and I pretend I was in my sliders pretending to be a horse, galloping over it. And I didn't realize there was a 20 foot drop the other side into an underground car part landed on my feet, smashed them all. They were that bad that when I got back to England they used me as a. What do they call it? Is it not research, not a project. What do they call it? Where they all sit there. The doctor's case study. That's the one. They use mine as a case study because the injuries I had were so horrific that they said it's normally people in the army military who get them kind of injuries or people who commit suicide of high building. So yeah, they're never. I've got 14 screws and bars in both feet and they're still not right. I've got to go. But I've had two ops on this one. I've got to go back in January because this one's still not right. So I've got scars on my feet, which is a shame because my feet were the most perfect thing about me and natural and now they're not. I'll show you the scar on this one. So I always get my feet done but there. Can you see the scar there?
Oh, wow. Yeah.
And all that sticks out because that's all bones. So. Yeah, them scars. So she's been through the mill, the old price and she still knocking there though, getting on with it.
How many copies of your book have you sold?
Which. But I've got 54 books, so I don't know.
54 books.
54 books, yeah.
Okay. So the best selling book.
They've all been number one bestsellers.
All right.
I'll say that. Really cocky. Well, they've all been number one. They've all been number one. Always been in the top times list number one. So that's I'm arrogant on that because they've all been best sellers number one.
So how many books in total do you reckon you've seen?
Millions. Mil. I wouldn't even tell you. I wouldn't know. I've got frames at home, you know, like back in the day. I don't know if they still do it. Record people have records with the discs of how many they've sold. I've got loads of them at home.
Right, yeah. Why do you think people are so fascinated by you?
I think because I'm easy. You can. I'm real, I'm not manufactured. What you see is what you get. And I really have been through real life situations, so I think people can not adapt to me. What's. My brain's gone relate, relate to me. I think people can relate to me that I'm real. I think my life is like a soap soap opera, really. I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow or the next day. You just have to stay tuned and wait and see that. That's how I look at my life. I could plan a nice day and get something like a flat tire, then it'd be all day for the AA or whatever to come. Things like that happen in my life all the time.
You have daughters?
I've got two daughters, three sons. I have to think about that.
So what would the main advice be to your daughters when they turned 17 and that was the age when you got into your glamour?
My daughter is 17.
Oh, wow.
And so what's the main advice of Superdrug already? Very makeup range. She's been a model for Pretty Little Thing for this is her third year. She's got her own jewelry range out. She's basically a Mini Me and she loves it. And she's had the advice, like I've given her the advice which is shrewd. She saves her money. She knows all about she. Because they've seen it with me and I've told them Junior, he's signed with Sony, Columbia, his songs, albums, so he's done does that.
Yeah.
Harvey is Harvey just loved by everyone and hasn't got a clue about what being famous is or celebrity. But he just knows wherever he goes, everyone loves him and wants photos with him. The other two I now keep out of the limelight because they're at like big screen school and got you what you've got to remember. Junior and Princess and Harvey grew up when there was no social media. So they've grown up with it, been on telly. So the Other two are too young and just to protect them. And whatever they want to do, they could do it. Whatever my kids ever wanted to do. I'm. I'm not a pushy mum in anything.
Yeah.
So the younger two, I just now key. I don't even put photos of them up on Instagram or anything. Just to protect them. Yeah. This is a different world we're in.
What's a secret you've never shared or a story you've never told that.
I love sewing. I've got free sewing machines and I make curtains and clothes.
What's an interesting secret you've never shared or. Sorry, you've never told?
I'm a good cook. I was a master chef. I don't know, there's actually lots about me, but I can't pinpoint. I think you'd. If you people hang out with me, they would see that I'm just so grounded, down to earth, Normal, love, family. I'm just normal. I don't know. I don't know what people think I'm like. I'm just normal, fitting in any situation. Oh, I'm very caring. So I now want to train to be a paramedic. I have applied and I will definitely qualify to do that because that's a job you can dip in and out of. When I say dip in and out of, I wouldn't be able to do it full time, but doing something to help. But I don't want to be a general nurse anymore. I want to be a paramedic. So I'm right there at the scene. Or air ambulance. Love it. I'm very caring. Old people, everyone says that I. I have actually volunteered to be. Help kids with disabilities and that because if I haven't don't know what I'm doing now, then I never will. But everyone always says, oh, my God, you'll be so good to work with us or do this and help. So I've asked where Harvey's going because he moves back in March. I said, look, I'd come in, volunteer like one day a week and I actually would do that. Samaritans, I would love to do that one day a week to help people on the call, because I feel, oh, and I'm training at the moment to be a life coach. I'm actually training at the moment for that, which is also interesting, which can be triggering because although I've had mental health and been through situations, I'll be there to help other people. And you, you've got to train yourself so you're not triggered by what's happened to other people. So I'm nearly completed that. So I think, as you can gather by what I'm saying, I'm a people person. I like to help people. It's not about money. I love earning money. I am a single parent mum and I do run the ship.
Do the Exes contribute financially? No, not at all. None of them.
Never have done? No, never, never, never. And even like Dwight, when he was high at Man United, never asked for penny off him. Not interested.
So you've. You have to pay for everything for all your kids.
Everything. No support, no nothing. But I'd rather it be that way. I don't owe anyone anything. Like I said, money.
But they are the dads. Surely they should be.
I think if they're with them and they want something, they don't buy it.
So none of the kids see the dads?
Yeah, they do. But not Harvey.
Right.
Harvey don't even know. The doors always open. I don't understand why he doesn't. Yeah, my mum always contacts his manager every year for his birthday or Christmas. Does he want to speak? See him, Same thing back, not interested.
Right.
But there'd be a time one day where there's a charity event or something because I believe he pays golf for charities and stuff, that maybe I'll be invited along with Harvey. There's. There's got to be a time when Dwight and Harvey are in the same room. There has to be. Because he would just love Harvey if he saw it. He would. How can he not? He looks like him, for God's sake. He's. Harvey's so funny. And anyone who meets Harvey, he's so endearing and innocent. How can he not love Harvey? I just can't get my head around it. Cuz he would have so much fun with him. Like if I ever say to Harvey, who's Harvey? Goes, he's black. That's all he says. Yeah.
How would you like your career to be remembered?
Not remembered because it's still going.
So what would you like people to say about your career so far?
No, sorry, you can use that question. How would I like to be remembered? Well, I think everyone says it anyway. I'm a hard worker, good businesswoman, I've had my ups and downs, but I am a survivor and I'm very creative because I don't know anyone who does press calls like me. I make it, I make an effort. I'm a realistic person. I won't just do anything I don't think will work and everything I put my mind. If I think of a product or something, I would put everything I've got in it. So if it fails, not that anything has yet. Touchwood that if something didn't work, I know I put my all in it. But I'm a realistic person. If I really don't think something will work, I wouldn't waste my time doing it.
Are you working on any projects that are exciting that you can tell us about?
3 TV shows. I know I've got one coming out in January, but I can't tell you about the other ones because we're filming them all next year.
Okay. What's the January one coming out?
Ivf.
Okay.
Yeah, with the X. So I won't be watching that. But you lot can. Don't need to be reminded of that, them times.
And why did you want another one?
I. I just love babies. I still want more.
You want more than five?
Yes.
How many ultimate kids would you like to have?
As many as I can have. I love it. I think I'm turning into the cat lady. I've got five Spinxes Spinx cats at home. Two twelves. And I've got my horses.
And five kids.
And five kids. I just can't give enough love.
Maybe that's part of the money challenges you've got.
Maybe.
I overhead.
The horses cost me a fortune a month, the kids cost me a fortune, the animals cost me a fortune. But I'm Happy driving my 800 pound a month Nissan that I rent from Enterprise and to stare at the pink Range Rover on the driveway every time I walk past. I think the battery is flat now because it's just sitting there.
Any regrets?
Men. Men in Eurovision. That's it. Not that bad, is it?
What specifically do you regret about Eurovision?
I was conned. I got told that if I did that I couldn't even sing that song then, couldn't sing it now, that I would be promised the Sony deal. But I didn't tell him I was pregnant and they found out when I was seven and a half months pregnant. Live on telly. Jane Faulkner said, we've had some calls in saying, are you pregnant? I went, no, no. Because my manager, I went back, said. I said, look, we can't lie about it anymore. And then I lost my 1% to Javine on the night. It's all a con, right? So no, we wish I never did it. I look like a pink condom in that rubber outfit. Thinking I could hide my bump as well.
What was I thinking and why the men regrets?
Because they've just caused me absolute heartache, betrayal, taken off me and then ripped the out of me after. And who I always find out the real person is when I'm not with them. I just rushed into relationships. It's my own downfall. I'm not blaming them.
If they were all. If they were all here, what would they say about you?
Well, now I'm not with them, they'd probably slag me off. But they were quite happy at the time and they're with me. They'd be bitter.
Do you think they were clout chasing?
Yes.
Yeah.
Not do I think. I know, right? Fact, fact. Who's the one still here? Me. Where are they? Bye.
Where are you most active on social media? Where should we follow you?
Where am I most? Well, I'm trying to fit everything in. I do Tick tock Lives, Instagram. I'm on Snapchat. This, that's a new thing in it. The old Snapchat thing now.
And is it just your name Katie Price or what?
You do not. I don't even know. I should. Yeah, it is Katie Price and it's got the blue tick now. So it's official. Yeah, every damn posting stuff because that's a new avenue now. Facebook, obviously. I've been on them donkeys of years. I've got a YouTube channel that's all up and running.
And you've got podcast. What's the podcast?
Podcast. How can I forgot that the Katie Price show, the one that I do with my little sister are Sophia Hannah Price. It's just me and her in it. We don't have guests because I talk a lot. I don't think we need a guest.
Well, thanks for fitting us in your busy schedule.
I bet you didn't even answer all your questions. Tell the truth, you didn't, did you?
I think I've asked every single one. What do you think, Harry? I think I have.
Well, if you haven't, you have to pick it next time then, wouldn't you sailor?
Let's have a look.
Did you enjoy it?
Yeah.
Am I at what you thought? Yeah.
Are you taking the piss out of me?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Am I. Am I like what you thought or not?
Good job. I got good self worth.
Oh, shut up. When you had therapy as well. No, honestly, what? What do you think?
I think you should be honest.
I don't care.
No, I know.
Now she's sucking on the vape. She's like, what the is he gonna say now? I'm just a little girl really, who wants to be gone.
No, I think you should just carry on.
It's all coming.
It's all coming. Well, don't we all want to be loved, really?
I said that to Kerry because she's been through so much as well. Kerry. I'm like, look at us. We're just like little girls, really. And we just want to be loved because she gets so much as well, Kerry. And we've been through the same kind of stuff, parallel. It's nuts. But she's come out the other end, I've come out the other end. And we're like, look, we're here again now. And it's like we're starting our career again with all the knowledge and experience. It's interesting because not many people can do that. Once you're in the gutter with the media, that's it, you're done finishing. But we still managed to climb back up and then get bopped down. But I'm staying up for a while now. There's nothing else that can bop me down. Nothing of everything. What else can possibly be said? Nothing. There's absolutely nothing else anyone can say. Surgery, bankrupt relationships, failed marriages. What else can anyone say? There isn't. She's the worst stress. Oh, no, I've had that as well. Well, I'm never going to commit a murder, so they can't say I'm a murderer. I won't be a bank robber. Although watching all the crimes I do, I bet I could make a perfect one. There isn't. Is there really anything.
How do you deal with all the hate?
Do you know, it's weird. You say hate, there's so much love out there for me. The hate only comes from trolls. And if they ever met me, they wouldn't be like that to my face. Because I don't know how anyone can actually hate me. I've done nothing wrong to anyone. I don't know why people would hate me. I, I. Because what, what do I actually really think about? What have I actually done to make people hate me? It's only media who can sway what people think. Because if people actually met me, I'm actually an all right person.
So do you, do you go in and read the comments or do you.
Never read the comments?
No, no. Do you read the newspapers or never read headlines?
And I look at the pictures and I'm like, oh, what a rank picture that is. They never put any nice pictures in of me. I'm like, that is rank.
So it doesn't even. Does it trigger you anymore?
No, I'm just like, I speak to a Therapist every two weeks just to moan at someone so I don't have to moan at anyone else. Just let it out.
And has that helped the therapy?
I think it does, yeah. Because I can have a little moan up and get it out and they just sit there like, okay, just something to air it with.
I've got something actually.
Oh, here we go.
It's not on the list, but what do you think of that girl? I think her name's Lily who slept with a hundred guys in a day and it's all blowing up. What do you think about that?
I don't agree. I haven't brought up like that. I mean, I'm not saying she's a slut, but come on.
Well, you just did.
Well, yeah. In my, in my world, the way I've been brought up, that's not cool.
Whose fault is that? Because some are saying it's her, some are saying it's the guys who watch the porn, some are saying it's parenting.
I think it comes to self respect. I was always brought up, never sleep, never have a one. I've never had one nightstand.
Never. Not one.
Never. No.
Wow.
I was always brought up, if you're going to lose your virginity, make sure you're 16. Never have a one night stand with anyone. And it's not nice to sleep around. I know how many people and I can name everyone. How many I'm telling you, but not that many.
I thought you were an open book.
I hit on my hands.
So it's less than 10 years.
I've been married loads. No, actually I think about 18.
18? Yeah.
That's not a lot really for someone my age.
Yeah.
That isn't a lot.
No.
I think that's another thing why people get me wrong as well. Because I think they think that every girl I've spoke to, I've slept with them and I actually haven't.
No. And how does that feel to be portrayed as.
I feel powerful that I haven't because I know I haven't. And everyone around me, if I was went out with my friends back in the day, I would look like the prick teaser. But I would go home on my own. Whereas they would probably go off and have one night stands and never for me. Never.
So this 100 person a day girl, is it her fault? Is it the guy's fault? Is it the parenting? Where's, where's the area?
But I think it's her fault. She's the one. They're opening her legs. I think it's degrading to Herself but if that's what she chooses to do then that's down to her but she'll always be known as that. It's not really wifey material is it? No is what I would say is it? No it isn't.
No.
But yet if I'm with a guy I like to know they've been around the block because why? Because I. I rather know what they're doing. Yeah right.
So that makes him more of a man.
I wouldn't, I wouldn't really like that. Isn't that weird?
So do you ask the guys quite early? Yeah I do and you want to.
Know they know you slept with in that.
So most people would have a maximum number. You've got a minimum number. Yeah so what would be your minimum number?
Well I think a man needs to know. Well I suppose because of the age and that when I was younger I'd be jealous but I think now I'm at my age I just think if a man's been there, done it, know what they want like yeah they're more settled in their head and they really.
Right. So what would be the minimum number?
Imagine it was like two or three girls they even know what they're doing, you know what I mean?
I've never thought of it but I'm a guy and I'm.
No, my friends say hey you grub that's disgusting. Why would you want a man that's been everywhere And I'm like I'd rather him of know what they're doing been around that's mad in it.
So here's a question what makes a man? Because that's debated a lot.
Any man can make a baby but it takes a real man to bring a baby up and I think a real man should have be a man have their own thing going on and now I'm my age I look at it different. A man who's got their own thing going on and obviously if you're in a family you will bring to the table. I don't think it should be one sided because I think these days you all bring to the table So a.
Man should be out there working, earning.
Good and I think a woman should as well but who's going to look after anyone lazy?
Who's going to look after the kids?
You work it out. I do with mine I haven't got.
A nanny so you don't think a mum should stay at home and look after the kids?
That's more hard work actually. And at home mom I don't think at Home mums get enough credit.
Right? But you just said you. They should know what I mean.
But they can work from home these days. Can't you? You can do things online and that. That's what I mean. The times have changed.
Yeah.
It's hard work being a full time mum. I don't think a lot of mums get credit for that. But I think. Well, it depends their situation. Didn't it? But I don't think everyone should always. Because you could get at home dads. I've been married to them.
That didn't work out for you though.
No. And then I think it becomes unattractive for me because then I'm the one at home and then everyone waits for me to entertain and do this and pay for everything. I think for me that's unattractive.
Yeah.
Now. No. Not having that either anymore. Been there at that as well. Unattractive. I'm sorry. In my world that is unattractive. Someone at home, you come home, they're on the sofa watching telly or whatever and I've been out grafting all day. Get off your backside and go and do something. You know, if you go for dinner knowing they can pay. Not just wait for me to get it out. I'm not having it. Done it too. Too long.
Yeah. Wow.
She's hardened up.
There isn't a single thing on this list we hadn't asked. So.
It's midnight as well. We've been sitting around.
Yeah. It's normal.
But did you enjoy the chat?
I enjoyed the chat. Did you enjoy the channel?
Yeah, I did actually.
Good. Thank you for letting us in your schedule.
Yeah, good, wouldn't it?
Yeah. Thanks for sharing everything. And I am sorry to hear what you went through with.
Which bit?
Well, I mean myself. Trying to hang yourself.
It was so bad. Yeah, it's bad them times. Like I look back now a lot. I'm a different person. I look back and feel sorry for that person. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
So did you physically tried the act of hanging yourself?
I did it.
You actually hung yourself?
Hung, yeah.
Who found you?
I was on my own. No one found me. I was on my own and I was on the floor. And then I woke up like where. Where am I? And I had all black eyes where I'd hit my head. And my phone was down the toilet. Luckily it was waterproof so it worked. I have to make a joke now. But it weren't funny at the time.
No. And.
And I will. Marks around my neck.
How long did you plan that I'd.
Always say it in my head, well, I'm just going to kill myself. I'm just gonna.
How long?
Just gonna do it. Ages.
What, years?
I didn't say it to anyone.
No, how. How long?
Probably about a year.
And this was what stage of your life was this? The bankruptcy.
It all around the same. Yeah.
And was it a splitting up of a particular guy?
No, it's more the bankruptcy and the pressures. And then from the guy what ricocheted off from it? Yeah, all of it. And I just think everyone, everything then just built up on me. Everything just come. Because when you're in that state, then you start thinking of other things, like, why, why am I like this? Then why hasn't that worked? Why did. And just every. I can't pinpoint it. Just everything just crashed down. Everything. I would never get myself in that state again.
What would you say?
I didn't mean to get in that state in the first place. So you can't ever say. You can't sit and say to someone, it won't happen to you because it can happen to anyone. Mental health is a weird thing. Anything like in the Priory, something that is small to someone and I've sit there, think, hell, you're in here for that. But it could be massive to them. You can't ever judge how someone's brain ticks and how they work. You can't.
No.
But people don't. They need to be educated more. I think. I know everyone goes on. Yeah, I've had mental health and I've got this label attached to me, this and that, because I'm like, you know, I've got adhd, but so what? I'm still the same. I don't take medication for it. I tried, it doesn't work. So I just use my own techniques to calm it when need be. Because I get very excited sometimes I have to say, Kate, otherwise I'm like, hey, I'm here and I have to go.
Thank you very much.
On that note, out my dressing room.
