Bill Wilson, MD explains how GLP-1 drugs like semaglutide interrupt the blood sugar spike-and-crash cycle that drives cravings for sweets and starches. He describes carb syndrome as a metabolic trap and discusses whether supplements like L-glutamine can help break it.
You crave and you eat and you get another glucose spike and another drop to get this vicious cycle that just doesn't go away. So anything that interrupts that is going to be helpful. And the GOP is, boom. They just put a stop to it. And, you know, the precursor supplements, along with, like, L glutamine, is another amino acid that can help. The number one symptom of carb syndrome is craving sweet and starchy food. That's what's driving the illness. You got to stop that.
Bill, you also shared your personal experience with carbs syndrome and some semiglutide. Could you share that with our audience? You know, and, you know, regarding your own experience.
Years ago, you know, like everyone else, I struggled a bit. I gained some weight. I never had major brain symptoms, maybe some insomnia and low energy and so forth.
