You can learn all the strategies, analyze all the deals, and network with the right people, but if you don't have the right mindset, wholesale real estate will chew you up and spit you out. The first time I realized wholesale real estate wasn't just about numbers and properties, that it was about mental resilience, was when I watched properties that I worked on so hard get torn to shreds overnight. And sometimes I remember sitting there questioning what I did. Where did I make a mistake? Am I really built for this? What if I fail completely? And there was something my mentor told me, the man in the arena, and he said that the game isn't won by the smartest person. That it's won by the one who refuses to quit. The wholesale real estate industry will test you in ways you never imagined. You'll face rejection, you'll lose deals, sometimes you'll even doubt yourself. But the difference between those who succeed and those who don't is the mindset. And today I'm going to be sharing with you lessons that he taught me on how to build resilience that you will need to thrive in real estate. One, embrace failure as a teacher. Now, one of the hardest lessons that I had to learn was that failure isn't something to avoid, it's something to embrace. The truth, you're gonna make mistakes. Deals will fall through, people will back out. But what separates winners? They don't let failure define them. They let it refine them. Ask yourself, what went wrong? What could I have done differently? And how do I prevent this next time? That shift from why did this happen to me to what can I learn from this will change everything. So if you want to really, really win in real estate, you must train yourself to see every failure as an opportunity to improve. 2. Master emotional control. Real estate will push your emotions to the limit. Like I said, deals will fall apart at the last second. You will get clients that will ghost you after weeks and weeks of work. Even sometimes the market will shift when you least expect it. Now, if you're emotionally reactive, you burn out fast, but if you're emotionally disciplined, you outlast everyone else. So here's what you need to do: expect challenges. It's part of the process. Train yourself to respond with logic. He always says this, logically, think about this, right, and not frustration. Take setbacks as data and not personal attacks. Your ability as a real estate investor to stay calm under pressure is what separates successful investors from those who quit, and I learned that from him. The last is the long game mentality. There are too many real estate investors that want instant success, but real estate isn't a sprint, it's a long game. You want to know the truth? The most successful investors aren't necessarily the most skilled. Well, my mentor, he's skilled and he's more successful. They are the ones who stay in the game long enough to win, and he's had decades of experience. So here's what you need to do: focus on long-term wealth and not just quick wins. Two, be willing to fail forward because every mistake is a lesson. And then commit to outlasting the competition because most people quit too soon. So what's the key? Like I say, stay in the arena. Your mindset is everything in real estate. It's not about being the smartest or the luckiest, it's about being the most resilient. And this is day 7 of the Write Record Challenge. So tell me, what's one challenge that you face that probably has tested your mindset? I'd love to hear your story. Take care and see you guys tomorrow.
