Hi guys, this is Social Media Boss Lady and it's another episode, another week, yay, with you. And honestly, to carve out time to record this episode took a whole lot because my dog really follows me everywhere I go, like she doesn't allow me rest. And, um, like, I seriously had to lock her out of the house, out of my room in the compound, so that I could just like do this recording. Because if not, she'll be like all over me, up and down. So anyways, I'm here, we're here together, and we are gonna learn. Yay! Okay. All right. So, um, I was battling back and forth, um, what to actually release for you guys this week, because I know last week we spoke about content. How to write better content, how to create the content that's ideal for your target audience. So today I was thinking, do I do something a little bit unusual? I thought maybe I could tell a story, or maybe I could give a past experience, or just come from a motivational point of view or something. And I'm like that really, I don't. It says the podcast says marketing tactics for entrepreneurs, but hey, I stop every time we talk about marketing, right? So I promise maybe, um, come next month, and because we, we do these episodes twice a month, so maybe come next month we'll do something a little bit different. Actually, I did have an interview that, um, with Jonathan, and I was going to release that. I actually did release it on YouTube, but I probably would do the audio version. Probably I'll just do clips. So just look out for that episode, my interview with Jonathan on basically what successful entrepreneurs go through. Okay. All right. So today I'm going to delve a little bit into one of my mentors, And, um, and that would be Jay Abraham. And, um, I mean, reading a lot from this guy has taught me so much in how to think differently as an entrepreneur, as a business owner, how to analyze my marketing. I, I shouldn't just think the charlatan way, but there are ways that as an entrepreneur you need to think differently, especially when you are trying to launch out there in the deep for yourself as against all the other brands that are there. And you can't really keep on doing things, um, the same way everybody does it. Or it's like saying, um, I think the quote that says, um, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over and over again and expecting different results. So I mean, it was his first book, I think, which was, um, that the first book that I read— I know that's not the first book he's written, but the first book I read, which was, um, Getting Everything you can out of all you've got. And it just opened my mind to ways as a business that you can increase your clients, you can grow your business, and so on and so forth. So today he kind of did like a Q&A session that covers every aspect, every phase of marketing. And I really thought that, I mean, for my listeners out there, that I ought to share this with you guys. I mean, because if I got a lot from it, and then I think also you should also get the same results. So basically today I will take you through immediate marketing solutions basically for people who want monetary rewards, but they simply just can't get started. And I think if if my memory serves me right, he did about 17 of them. So this might be a long podcast, it may not be depending on how I quickly go through it, but I would just share with you, um, like a condensed version of what he said and, um, and distill this into marketing solutions that you can begin to apply immediately in your business. After all, I did say these are marketing tactics That you can begin to apply. If you take one, apply it in your business, you don't have to do everything and spread yourself thin, but you can, you can listen to it all and then just hamper down on one or two and then run with it. When it gets on autopilot, then you can switch gears. So I guess we're ready to get started. Okay. All right. So like I said, what basically you would hear in this episode is just a condensed version of what was shared. distilled into marketing solutions that you can begin to apply immediately. So, and in life, basically, we are paid to think differently. Yeah. And my hope for you that at the end of this episode is that the insights that you will receive and listen to will reward you richly, not just only in monetary terms, but it would also help you to think differently as well. Okay. All right. So if you have a question like, okay, so how do I improve my business? A lot of marketing business owners, marketing executives have that question. How do I improve my business? Well, so what you need to do is that you talk to the highest performers, mostly the ones that are making the most money, right? In the area in which you want to improve. Talk to people specializing in different industries and see what they are doing. Look online at everyone else doing what you want to improve and see if they sell their technology. Contact them and offer to buy a license. You could also look at every model similar or related and see how it's working. Or you can look at everyone reaching the audience you want to reach to see if you can possibly set up joint ventures. So basically, if you want to improve your business, I just took you through a couple of pointers what you can do. Okay, so number 2, so how do I keep up with my competitors if they are growing past me now? So what you need to do is you go to your best referrals and say the following. Okay, we need to invest in the people you refer to us more generously than our contemporaries. So anybody you think we can help We will buy them the first whatever it is so that they don't have any apprehension in patronizing our business. Just some templates that you could use. Okay. Secondly, if you want to be able to keep up with your competitors and they're going past you, secondly, there are probably people who have smaller businesses or semi-retired individuals from whom you can buy their client base. And give them a perpetual piece of the business if it's legal. Okay. So that's how you can keep up with your competition. Now, number 3. So let's say you want new clients. So you're probably asking, so how do I get new clients at better price points? Now, this is what I'd advise that you do. Do not play the same game everyone is playing. The same way they play it, whether it's locally, nationally, online, or offline. Find people who specialize in industries and make them your marketing partners if they don't have the piece of the puzzle that you provide. Okay, then you can also go to people who have your piece of the puzzle. So basically, you have your expertise, but you maybe have like an advanced product or service or an advanced knowledge than they do, and then you could do deals with them to take what they have to the next level. You could also find people who have sold everything they can sell to their client bases, and then you offer these clients your endorsed products and services. So find out who already has the market, and it could be a competitor They don't have as deep a product or service that you have, and then find a way to utilize their clients. Okay, so basically that's how to get clients at better points, at better price points. Okay, so another question you might be asking is that, okay, so how do I build trust with prospects better, or how do I build trust with prospects at a quicker pace? Or how do I build trust with prospects at an easier level? So now, instead of making the relationship overwhelming or creating fear, you could say, um, something like this: call this number and we will first invest in you. We'll educate you. We'll show you the good, the bad, the ugly. We'll show you who is right. We'll show you the strategies. We'll give you a way to test our concept. Then we'll follow up and discuss it with you. And if we're compatible, then we'll invite you in. If you heard that kind of conversation on the phone from someone that wants to sell you a product or service, Really, it's less threatening. So you are basically offering a way to educate prospects with— in a less, less threatening manner before they even make a commitment. So you could try that script I just gave you out, whatever product or service it is that you have, and you're trying to build trust with your prospects faster, quicker, and easier. You could try something like that. Okay. All right. Don't worry if you didn't catch that. Just pause, rewind, hear it again, write it down, internalize it, and then continue playing. Okay. All right. So you might have another question that says, um, how do I get the attention of high-level people or high-level companies or high-level decision makers for my product or for my service offering? So that's just what you need to do. First of all, find out who else is doing what it is that you're doing. Okay? How are they doing it? Where are they doing it? And how well are they doing it? Okay? You don't really need many to begin with. Now, after you get just a few high-level individuals or companies, you can validate you already have clients. So you go to the bigger clients with your proof and say this. So meaning that you've connected with this high-level client or individuals, and then there's a partnership with you, right? So you could go to the bigger clients with your proof and say, we believe we have an offer that'll play out and play off and pay off. But we'd like to buy dash of the service gratis to begin with and let you judge it on the most critical criteria we can come up with and earn your business. That, I know, sounds a little bit too complex for some people, so, uh, you could decide to scrap that if that doesn't make sense to you. But if you're So basically, you're going to the bigger clients with the with proof of your product or service because you're trying to get their attention. All right? So you let them know that you have this offer that would pay out and play out. Okay? And but you would like to buy a certain percentage of the service to begin with, and then let them judge on the most critical criteria that the two of you can come up with together. And earn the business. So basically, is you are presenting yourself as, um, this is who you are, this is what your product and service can do, and this is the offer that you have, and this is how well it will fare in the marketplace. But you are putting your offer up front that we want this percentage of the service to begin with And then we can decide, okay, as a team, this is what we work on together. So basically that's just like starting point for you to do when you want to get the attention of high-level people. So you can see that, um, it's not the normal conventional way that we think. Jay makes you think things a little different, out of the box. thinking. So, and, um, it's, it's really, really mind-blowing for me most times, especially when I go through his resources, his trainings, and his workshops. So another one is that, um, oh well, another question business owners tend to have is that, um, so I don't want to do business the same way everybody in my industry does it, what should I do? So First and foremost, work on building more referral resources. Okay, now a referral-generated client is many times more profitable, less likely to waste your time, and easier to deal with. And really, you can't build referral resources until you have a unique value proposition— what makes you different from your competition. So, so learn all the referral strategies you can and then invest real value in developing building and enriching relationships with people that have access to the market you want. Now, another possibility is to find people who may be retiring and they have goodwill with your ideal clients, and then make a deal with them where they take— you take over their brand and then integrate it, and integrate it while maybe you pay them maybe 25% forever and work with their clients for them. Something like that. Okay, so, um, you might also probably have questions like, okay, so there are so many possible audiences for my products, for my service, where should I focus my marketing efforts? Now, um, there was a story— oh yeah, there was a story about a guy called Willie Sutton who was the greatest bank robber that ever lived. Now, he robbed many banks than anyone else. So when he was arrested, he was asked, why did you rob so many banks? His answer was so straightforward. You know what he said? He said, because that's where the money is. So think about it pragmatically and then go to where the money is. It's as simple as that. If you're thinking of where to focus your marketing efforts, just simply go to where the money is. So you may have another question like, okay, so my competitor is like selling his business and he has like a broader customer base that you think you can serve at the moment, that is it a strategic move to buy them? Okay, so if you are in this position now, if your competition has a lot of growth that you could add by being a better marketer or a better strategist and you could make yourself more preeminent set up relationships with people who have access, by all means, it's a possibility. I mean, if, if you could analyze their database and find industries or verticals that you can expand on, then it's a definite possibility that it's a strategic move for you to buy your competitor if they are up for sale. Now, if they have clients that you can't support, you probably would sell them, um, for, um, how do I put it, you could sell them. Yes, you could sell those clients that you can't support to maybe another competitor that would love to have them. Now the question is who, or if anyone, will buy it. So you have to find a way to exactly make it a profitable offer for them. So basically think about all possibilities before you write a big check to your competitor to buy them out and all that. Okay, all right. So, and, uh, now some business owners, some marketing executives might have a question like this, that, okay, so my business is coming from different sources, how much importance should I place on each source? Now this is what you need to do. Look at the numbers and what are telling you. Now, of 100% of the business that you do, how many come directly from each source? If you can estimate what percentage comes from each source, then that would pretty much tell you what you need to focus on. Okay. All right. And so I decided that I could go on and on and on and on and talking about, um, different marketing solutions to problems that different business owners may do. But I decided to take a break and break it off here, and there will be a part 2 that will be out next month. So meaning that you, you definitely should look forward to that. So, and, um, if you have any questions, feel free to hit me up in the comment section below. Don't worry, what I will do in the episode notes, I'll put out the different questions that I answered on this episode so that if it resonates with you, you could, you could also, um, go over and listen to it again and again. And the fact that as you listen to it more and more and more, you'll find out things that you can implement, other things that you can do, new ideas would pop open. Basically, The end in sight is to be able to get you to think differently, think outside the box, think differently as an entrepreneur, as a business owner.
