Hello everyone and welcome. Today is Tuesday and today is another tip day on how to look good on social media. Hi, I'm your one and only Ruth Kushiemeju, social media boss lady, and let's get down to business. Okay, so today's tip is— wait for it— yes, design distinguish your posts. Alright, now I think it was Global Web Index that gave a stat that the average person has 5 social media accounts. So it's up to you to actually do something that would catch your viewers' attention before they scroll past. And what you need to do is that you need to stand out from the competition and do something differently. So I'm gonna tell you 3 ways on how to design, distinguish your posts. Are you ready? Alright, so the 3 ways are color, animation, and simplicity. Now I'll take it one after the other. Now, color. So basically what you need to do here is that you need to figure out your blend of colors. Well, look for an attractive, appealing color palette that calls out to your readers. Now, do not try to mix too too many colors because, well, it could have an adverse effect. And don't be afraid to actually get influenced from color pairings by different designers or different illustrators. So basically, look out for ideas and then figure out the color palette that best suits your design of posts that would call out to your readers. Now, the second one is animation. Now, adding animation to your social media posts has proven to be a highly effective tool in attracting your viewers, your audience. Now, GIFs, as we know it— I mean, some people pronounce it as GIFs, some people pronounce it as GIFs. So however, GIFs, GIFs, are becoming the standard in social media, what you call social media networking sites. So what you need to do is that you could use it in your pictures. I mean, using GIFs in your pictures, which brings life to your posts. One thing you need to know is that great things sometimes tend to be used a little bit too much. So you need to, well, know when to put like a restrain, a restraint on the amount of GIFs you put in your social media posts. I mean, not all social media posts can become GIFs because you need to be able to measure it in a way that it will not annoy or frustrate your viewers. And then simplicity, which is the last. Basically, with this, um, in this aspect, sometimes when you have a clustered or busy newsfeed, sometimes a visual rest of the eye can be very, very compelling. I mean, rather, very attractive to viewers, where you try to bring in a minimally designed, tranquil image. An example is like you have a white background and then maybe like a little hand sticking out, out on that white background, and that little hand is holding an orange balloon or green balloon. So basically, images like that are very, very simple. Very, very simple, yes. And it actually can be a very, very good rest to the eye. So basically, these 3 things— color, animation, and simplicity— are 3 great ways that you can design, distinguish your posts. And that's it for today on how to look good on social media.
