Hi there, this is Social Media Boss Lady and today is tip day again and it's another round of training for you. I should actually have done this video yesterday but I had a swamped day and so I still decided I had to do this today. So well, one question we tend to usually ask ourselves either as business owners or as individuals, or it's just people that, that are on social. Um, why do I need to establish a brand? Why do I need to have my brand established or built on social media? Okay, well, one thing you need to realize is that we live in a day where everybody wants to be the next expert, everybody wants to be the next, uh, thought leader, everybody wants to be the next YouTube star, the next Instagram hashtag expert, whatever. So the fact that creating a personal brand is very much more important than ever. Now, before you take a deep breath, sigh, and think that, okay, so where do I begin? Oh, this sounds like too much work. You need to realize, honey, you have your work cut out for you already. Okay, so what I want you to do is whatever you're doing right now, stop it, go to your computer or even on your mobile phone and then go to Google and type in your name and your state or your country, basically where you live. And if you have a website, if you have a LinkedIn profile, if you have a Facebook profile, if you have a YouTube account or Twitter account, you'll come up in the search, guaranteed. It's amazing, right? So all this information about you, um, about your brand, what you do, and different things is already out there online. It's on the internet. It's very, very— it's nearly impossible, except if you find a way to go about it, but it's very nearly impossible for you to take it out. It's impossible for you to delete it or remove it. What you can do is that you can manage and control your personal brand, making it so that what people find out and learn about you are the things you want them to know, period. Okay, so, um, you need to also realize that establishing your brand online is very, very necessary. It's a necessary step in your overall marketing plan because more than ever people find themselves online looking for information or entertainment. So whether your brand represents a large company or a startup or an individual, it acts as a voice or a— like, like a voice of the business. So basically that's what your brand represents. And I will say that again, I will reiterate it again, that in social media or on social media, a brand is more important than ever. Yes, because without a developed brand, companies or even individuals would have no focus in their marketing outreach because people, that's the consumers, will not be able to connect with with these companies because they can't find a common ground. And as an individual or as a company, your return on investment on these social platforms will be so minimal or next to nothing. So having your brand online is more than, um, just your name out there. Yes, like a name definitely would identify a company or a person but it doesn't actually— let me put it this way— it doesn't actually hold any meaning to the customer or to the consumer. Because what would hold meaning to the customer or to the consumer is the brand, which is the personality, which will help people understand you, understand what your company is all about. Yes, and we have so many, um, social networking sites out there. You have Facebook, you have Twitter, you have LinkedIn, you have Instagram, you have YouTube, you have TikTok. There's so many out there. So when you are developing your brand on social, one very important tip I want to leave with you, which I do not want you to forget get after you finish watching this video is that when you're first starting to develop your brand on social, start with your logo, yes, your tagline, and your mission statement. And this basically— these three things actually help you to generate ideas, um, for your strategy on social media. So there are certain questions definitely you like to ask yourself that, okay, so I'm, I'm trying to establish my brand on social, you might want to ask yourself, okay, or certain questions definitely will come up in your mind. You'd be like, okay, so what social media platforms best fit the goals that I have? Or you want to find out, um, how can certain social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram, how can they make it easy, easy for me to achieve my goals? You'd also want to know, um, why is it that, um, whatever I do as a person or as a business, why does it matter in the real world to people? Because the fact that, yes, it's your brand, people want to know what it is you do and everything about you. So rule of thumb in all what I've said today basically is that on social media, personality is key to success. Do not forget that your personality is key to success. So if you have to use your business name as your brand name online, be sure to always add a human touch to it to let people know that this is the voice that is speaking on behalf of the company. And one thing you need to do after you watch this video, promise me that you will do it, If you do show up in a Google search, write down the page your information is listed on, okay, in the search results. Note the number in which you are listed on, you know, the page, note the number which you are listed on, because this, um, ranking on Google search, knowing it actually is very useful for you when you're trying trying to work on improving your website presence so that you know exactly where to start. So if you're searching and you find out that, oh, I'm on the third page of Google and I need to get to the first page, honey, you need to know what to do. If you're on— if you don't want to rank among the 10 pages, then you're like, okay, I need to boost the obscurity problem. So basically, that's what you need to do, why you need to establish a brand, what you need to do, and how to go about it. So that's it for today's Social Media Boss Lady on why you need to establish your brand. And I'll see you again on another video with another training. And my message to you guys is stay safe, stay home, be strong, figure out how your business can get better and just go about finding ways to make it better. Social Media Boss Lady signing out, and I'll see you guys next time. Take care, bye!
