Rylee Meek and Christian Edwards discuss current events and leadership from a Christian perspective, touching on the IRS, ceasefire negotiations, the TikTok ban, and Senate hearings.
All right, all right. How we doing, everybody? Happy Friday. Welcome back to the King's Council live. You got myself, you got Mr. Christian Edwards. And you know what we do? We have unfiltered conversations. Really what's going on in the world? A lot has been going on here in America and we do this from a Kingdom perspective. We're going to dive into so much, man. It's been a week, man, the Senate hearings, we're going to dive into this. We got a ceasefire, Praise the Lord. We got a ceasefire. Talks of the External Revenue Service, which we're going to dive into all of that. But also, what does it really mean to be a true leader? I think we've seen a great perspective of that out the gates here this past week. But before we do that, Christian, what's happening, brother? How's your. How's your week been?
Like you said, man, it's been a blur. It's been a busy week. You're on the road up north by your house. I was on the road down here in Texas, but it was a busy week out there. Making money to fund Kingdom things. Kingdom, yeah. So, yeah, putting in the grind so we could do as we preach, right? So we could be a resource for the Kingdom and to be that. That supply that provision for all those who are out there preaching the gospel, ministering to folks, helping folks, feeding folks, giving them homes, rescuing kids and girls from sex trafficking, all that good stuff. It takes money. So making money this week.
Yeah, we were, man. It's. We both got in late last night. You have been in much warmer climate than I have been. I'm so excited though. I get to fly to Florida here in a few hours. Get out of this. It's. Dude, our high. Our high this weekend is going to be in the negatives. So it is a. Is a great time to get out of Mina Snowta. If those that don't know, that's where I do reside part time, but also try to get down to Florida every now and then. I know Royce, I'm going to be down in. In where Royce lives, but he is heading up to South Carolina. He's actually there now and him and Graham are going to be in D.C. because we got T minus three days, baby. Can I get an amen for that? Love seeing I've seen a few new people here on. On the live stream here. So welcome to the show. We do this every Friday, 11 o' clock central Standard Time in the King's Council. That's. That's what we were about. J is king. And man, we just view like hey, we're, we're, we're operating here on the, in the earth, on the earthly realm here. And so we want to look at things through a biblical perspective and that's what we do on the, on these Fridays here. So a lot has been going on this week, man, but a lot of good things. It's been, it's been fun. I'm, I'm excited to actually do even next week's show even more than this because it's gonna be an epic week, man. This coming Monday. I'm super excited. I'm unfortunately, I got a couple invites to get out there and my wife's like, you really should just go like why are you not going? But my daughter turns 13 and priorities man. I've got a, I'm taking her and a couple girl girlfriends down to Ellie's girlfriends, not my girlfriend. Yes, yes. Down to Florida for the weekend. So that's where I'll be. And then I get to be in Texas with you man, in a few days. So. Looking forward to that, dude.
Yeah, with my daughters, you know, you, you call your, your daughter friends, their girlfriends. But like I, I, I'm hesitant to say that nowadays because like even people would be like oh, this 13 year old daughter has a girlfriend. That, that's normal nowadays. Right? So I like stay away from even saying that.
That's I guess man, maybe I'm. Well you are older than me so I was gonna say maybe I'm getting old.
But you always refere by much.
Yeah, yeah, I'm catching up. So. Yeah, but you're actually older than me.
You, you were born again before I was so you were born again in Christ before I was so.
That's true, that's true. But, but lordship, which is going to be a key topic we're going to talk about today was not in my life for as long as it has been for you, man. So yeah, I'm excited to really dive into that for the meat of this year as we get into this. But let's talk about some current events, dude. I, this External Revenue Service, I, I'm, I like the, the rings of that and I, I dove into this, you know, just a little bit just figuring out like okay, what has been the background on, on the irs, Internal Revenue Service and you know, really, I, I just love what Donald Trump here is proposing with, with this ers on getting back to the basics like back to, you know, how we should actually receive funds here in America and it's through Tariffs, tax. And. And I just love what he's doing here because it's incentivizing the right behavior, right? It's like, hey, if we want American manufacturing and things of that sort to take place here, then let's incentivize those behaviors to actually make that happen. Let's stop stealing from our citizens here in the great old USA in funding woke agendas that has been going on for. For so stinking long, man. I. I was. I. I think I was. I don't remember who I was listening to. Maybe Charlie Kirk last night, and he just mentioned, you know, in California, like, like, their. Their income tax, it's like. It's like 55%, dude. It's just. It's. It's insane of. Of what they're having to. To actually pay in. And, you know, obviously, they're reaping the. The. The rewards or. Or lack thereof of that here over this past, you know, couple weeks with the fires and things that have been going on. Just very poor leadership. So. I'm excited about this, dude.
Yeah. I mean, I. I love it. And we. We were talking before the show started, you, Royce and myself, and I. I like Royce's idea. I mean, we. The. The tax system in this country is just crazy. I mean, even the fact that there's a property tax you pay a big boatload of money for. For your home, your property, and now. Okay, I got to pay a tax for that now? No, I own it. But when you look at states like. Like Florida in Texas with no state income tax, and then a state like California where it's absolutely through the roof, and look at the difference in the infrastructure, look at the difference in homelessness rates, that sort of thing. It's like, okay, well, we. Obviously, it's not the amount of money that's being collected, right? It's what's being done with the money. So obviously, the government can do a lot more with a lot less than what they're getting. I mean, we don't have to be sending billions and billions of dollars to the Ukraine like we've been doing. We. We could do that. Make sure there's water in the fire hydrants in California, stuff like that. So. But I love it, and I. The. The closer we get to this inauguration, the more respect I have for Donald Trump, because he could have walked away from all this, all the persecution, all the potential of jail time, everything that they were thrown at him, and he was literally standing in the gap like he. He's serving the entire nation because if he doesn't stand up to it, then everything that was being done to him will be done to us, the people, right by, by the powers at at large in the government. So I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. Perhaps there's a bit of narcissism in him, right. That's kind of fueling him, which, you know, a lot of great leaders have at least a little speck of it. Right. But that doesn't bother me in my present president. Not right. Big right. Like you be a narcissist, you, you could be the most self centered person on planet Earth. As long as what you're doing that actually affects me and, and affects us as citizens of the United States. Like I don't really care what you're doing on your personal time. I don't really care how you act, quite quite frankly. I don't care what your thoughts are in private. I don't really care. Obviously I want him to be a Christian born, a good believer, saved, and everything be done through the, the lens and perspective of scripture. However, I want a leader who's an actual leader. And Donald Trump, he, he, you could call him a lot of things, but one thing that you can't say about him that he's not a great leader. He's a tremendous leader.
I thought you were gonna say great dancer. That's what I thought. That's what I thought.
You're a great dancer. Donald Trump, maybe not so much. For anybody who doesn't know that's how he won his wife over, it was, that's true. Dance floor. The first night at the club just, I would love to see that in my, because in my mind I like that Nike sweatsuit that you have, that red one that looks like an old like Run DMC jumpsuit. I just have in my mind that you're wearing that, like a kangal hat, like some white high tops. You're just out there like break dancing on the floor and Ash is like, oh my God, you just saw like, like her eyes turn into hearts.
We'll keep that perspective because that is definitely not what happened. I won't get into the details of that, but that's fun. But speaking of, of dancing, man. Tick Tock. Tick Tock's on the, on the verge of being banned here come Sunday, brother. And I don't know where I'm gonna get all my, my dance moves anymore. Although Roy said that's not necessarily what Tick Tock is all about anymore. I, I mean I'm, I'm on Tick Tock. I'M on all the different social platforms which us a follow. If, if you guys aren't following Christian and I, I would tell you my handles, but I don't even know them.
They involve your name, I think.
Yes, yes. Riley Meek. It's spelled different though. It's R Y L E E. So you find me somehow on there. But yeah, a lot of clips that we play from this, from this show are, are put on there amongst other things that, that we talk about just from a kingdom perspective and so give us a follow on there. Even if Tik Tok gets banned, we're. We're on all the other platforms as well. But I don't. I'm excited. I'm glad getting banned, bro. I know Royce is really, really upset and sad because he's gonna regain 17 more hours a day. For those that don't know, most of you know Royce is behind the scenes here producing all this and that's why we gotta bust his chops every now and then. And occasionally he'll pop up and, and show himself, but he's. He's probably eating right now. So yeah, we find out if there's a clip in.
I'm not scared.
There you go.
Hey, I'll pop in what they want. It just so I don't know how my mic sounds cuz it just coming through a computer, but it just happens the one time that you guys are really busting my chops. I'm not in my studio. I normally got like a nice camera and mic and all this stuff, but I'm out of town this week, so of course it all looks bad.
But.
But yes, I will say really quick and I'll let you guys get back to. To your show. I am an avid tick tock user and I am a little bit sad to see it go. But hey, it is what it is. I don't like China stealing our data. So if, if that's what's going on, then I guess I'm for it. But I do enjoy me some TikTok and that's just, that's just how it is for my generation, I guess right now.
Is there an alternative to TikTok for your generation? Is there one that pop up funny enough?
Obviously, like YouTube has YouTube shorts and Instagram has reels and there's a few different platforms that are integrating it as well. But there's a new app out called Red One and everything is in Mandarin, everything is Chinese, everything. Like it's just another TikTok and people are downloading it thinking that the Same thing's not going to happen if it has the same popularity. So they are making other alternatives. And the fact that as soon as TikTok goes down, there is another Chinese alternative that's being pushed within the TikTok app, like TikTok is pushing this other app makes me. It kind of solidifies the idea that TikTok is trying to get away with something here because they're trying to keep the American people on the Chinese platform, and they were refusing to sell the US Rights to a US Company. So it is a little bit suspicious. And I, for one, will not be downloading a red note or whatever it is. There's also, like, Lemon 8, which I also think is also Chinese owned. So I don't know. They're trying to get something out of this. It's weird.
Yeah. So even if you don't download the new one, don't worry, Royce. China knows all of your information they have access to.
They probably already have it. They probably already have it. So I don't know really what we're stopping here. I mean, they're flying balloons over our country, for goodness sakes. They probably have everybody's information and some. So I don't know. But at the same time, I don't think it's the, you know, I think it could be a threat, but I, I still think it's not the thing that our government should be focusing on right now. I think there's a million other things that are worse and more crucial for our government to be spending time on. But, hey, it is what it is.
They're going to.
They're going to argue about transgender bathrooms and tick tock. All valid. But I don't know. I don't work at the government, so.
Yeah, well, God willing, over these next four years, with the right leadership in place, not just with Trump, but all the appointments, that everything could be knocked out. Right. We can tackle everything. Right. So all the problems in this country, let's knock them out. We have four years to do it. And I'm pumped for Monday, man. I'm a little jealous that you're going to be there hanging out video.
Video for you Gu. So. So we can show some clips on. On the, the show next week. But yeah, I'm excited.
Yeah. And you did mention your. Your wife is a little nervous because there, there's some rumors of some shenanigans that might be going on. And shenanigans is probably downplaying it a little bit. But how do you feel? Are you feel safe, confident? You're with Graham. So I, I am with Graham, ex military.
Which means he has a huge target on his back.
That's true.
But you know, we've got pretty good seats, so we're gonna be pretty close to the action, pretty close to where the security will be. So ideally we're pretty safe. You know, I don't think that if they tried something, they probably wouldn't get anywhere near the President. It would probably be somewhere near where all the crowds are. But we just found out this is technically breaking news actually right on the show that the Trump swearing has been, has been moved to inside due to the weather. So it's not even going to be outside in front of the Capitol. It's not going to be indoors, which I don't know if that's ever happened. I might just not.
Yeah.
No.
Is it just. Is it.
Yeah.
Is it a security security or is it because it's freaking cold?
I, I was told because it was freaking cold. That's what I was.
Okay.
Due to the weather, it's being moved inside. But that might be, you know, cover up for. Hey, we think something suspicious is going to happen because anytime the Dems.
Dems lose.
You know, the radical left, they do some pretty crazy things. When, when Trump, when Trump won in 2016, there was riots at the White House. There was churches being burnt down and looting going on because he won the election. You know, I think it's smart for them to, you know, be skeptical and be prepared because they have a history in a past of doing radical things when they don't get their way.
Are you saying that they're not the election deniers and, and they're not the rebel rousers that say that the conservatives are. Are you saying that?
Because, I mean, they talk pretty good.
When, when I watch mainstream media. I mean, they all seem like angels with good intentions.
That's what they paint themselves to be. But we, I think we all know that that's not the reality of it. But hey, you know that that's why mainstream media is, is what it is and painted the way that we do because it's just lie after lie. They'll try to convince you that that a good thing is bad and a bad thing is good. In my opinion.
That's demonic.
Right? That, that's, that's not biblical.
Yeah.
You know, doesn't the Bible talk about.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it says woe to those who call evil good and good evil. Woe to those.
Exactly.
Heavy. That's like impending judgment on those folks who do such Things, So, yeah, that's a big deal.
It is a big deal. But I'll let you guys get back to your show. I'm going to keep getting back to producing over here, but get back to work.
Yes.
Okay. It's probably got some Chinese over there you can put.
Go, go put this time.
A little bit of Starbucks, which I know I probably shouldn't be. I probably shouldn't be drinking, but it's what I got this morning.
Not.
Not on Dear America, brother. Get that Starbucks out of here. Get it out of here. Go back to your. Go back to your movie. Red one. Since you called the red Note Red one. Red one is. I think I know I said terrible Christmas mo. So, all right, it's got the rock.
In it, so whatever.
But.
Man. Yeah, it'll be interesting what happens with, with Tick Tock. I guess if it actually happens, I'm all for it. Like, let's get that crap out of here. But the reality is it's information. If they are extracting that, it's not anything that we probably haven't been doing to ourselves with our Facebook, meta, Instagram, all that, all that jazz, uh, in the LA over the last four years at least. Uh, but I think it's new. I think, I think, I think, you know, Zuck' finally got a little testosterone in his bones and he's met with Trump a couple different times there at Mar a Lago. And so, yeah, we are heading in the right direction, getting back to the basics again. Even if it is. We talked about the ers epic news as well. Ceasefire this week, man, between Hamas and Israel. How incredible is this news?
Yeah, it's phenomenal. Of course, you know, Donald Trump is the one who was negotiating this. He was in the, the back channels make sure this happened. And it's remarkable. He's not even in office yet. And there's a ceasefire and we all know that Biden is taking credit for it, of course, but, but even when he, he turns around that clip, I think we have it where he turns around and he. Yeah, show this clip, Royce.
Thank you.
Books. Credit for this, Mr. President. You or Trump? Is that a joke? Oh, thank you. Yeah. When he's asked who should take credit for this, you or Trump turns around, says, is that a joke? That response is a joke. Everybody knows, like, if he was going to negotiate a ceasefire, it would have been done. I mean, October of 2023. Right. That's when Russ attacked Israel.
Yeah. It wouldn't have happened. It wouldn't have even happened in the first place had, we had, you know, the proper leadership administration in there. But, but yeah, whatever. I mean, who cares who gets credit? It's annoying. But he, he didn't lie. He just said, is that a joke? He's like, of course Trump did it. Of course Trump gets the credit. Right, Right. But this is great news. And again, this, is, all of this is happening. You mentioned before, even Monday has taken place. And you know, I think by what, 2:00 clock Monday, man, the list is already happening and it's, boxes are getting checked, man. Things are getting done here in America to make it great again. Can I get a Mega Maga in the chat from you guys? I'd love to. Just, you know, even, just like, it's just a good feeling of like, what is actually happening here in the country. I'm seeing it. I mean, I'm just, we have a few different companies that we run and, and from a sales standpoint, I'm out meeting, I'm talking with people every single week. And people are just in good spirits, right? It's just like they're, they're just happier, they're, they're willing and open to, to spending even more, investing even more. And versus just being, you know, concerned and worried and frustrated and, and just that uneasiness that we've been going through for really, it, it's, it's just, it's just a great feeling that we're, we're heading into here, man. So I'm stoked, dude. I'm, I'm, I'm really, really excited to see, you know, what plays out Monday and then as the list just starts to get the box, get the boxes get checked here over the next, you know, four years? Really? But really, what's going to, what, what's the, what's the domino effect here that's going to take place for the economy and for just Americans as a whole? So, so it's gonna be, it's gonna be a great week, brother.
Yeah. And speaking of that ceasefire, keep in mind, the big thing is there's hostages that have been hostage for over a year. Can you imagine what they're going through every single day? And I just saw a report a couple days ago because there's about 30American hostages that, that are over there. And the report was probably about half of them are dead. Right? So can you imagine just the family members of those who are, who have been kidnapped, their hostage, and even the, the deal of how many hostages per week over the course of six weeks? It's like, you got to Be so elated if you actually believe it's going to happen. Like, I, I bet they don't know that they're going to be released. But when you start to see some released and you're not, it's like, oh my gosh, what's going on here? So we'll continue to pray for the hostages and pray for everybody involved. The protection of, of all the Israeli military who's taken out all these bad guys, right? They, they've wiped out all the leadership of Hamas. And it just tells you how many people there are, right, that are just evil, that, that, that they wipe out the, they have cut off the head, yet there's still so many bad people in place. And yet my heart actually goes out to all those, those, those terrorists who, who have the children, right, who are raised in those ways, like the schools in Palestine, literally in kindergarten, they will give them dolls of Jewish people and cut off their heads. Like this is what they're taught. So my heart goes out to those people. But I mean, even more so than the ceasefire will continue to pray for revival, right? Just revival being spread throughout the world. And we, we've been seeing it in these Muslim nations where even Muslim nations where they getting the gospel, like there's not even missionaries reaching them. But you're hearing these God stories and these testimonies of these Muslims who are having dreams about Jesus, right? So how amazing is God that He'll find a way to, to, to reach those who need Him. And ultimately we all need him. We all need Him.
Yes, yes, yes, we do. And our leadership team needs him. Right? The Senate hearings that have been taking place this past week have been nothing short of epic, in my opinion. I want to, we're going to dive into, you know, what took place with Pete's. But even before that, Pam, Pam Bondi's was pretty, pretty great as well. And she stood her ground, man. I mean first off those, those things are just gnarly to actually like listen to those clips, it's just like, good Lord, like what is, I mean, for, to be in the, in the seat that, you know, Pete and Pam were actually in and try to answer these ridiculous questions that clearly, you know, pointed at trying to elicit a response and them even just like saying un. Untrue things within their questioning, it's just, it's just, it's just nonsense what they're actually doing. But I think we have a clip of Pam and how she really puts pencil neck here, Schiff in, in his place. You want to play that Royce has.
Called for it publicly. You are aware of that, aren't you?
No one has asked me to investigate.
But the President has. Cheney said the President has gone.
You know what we should be worried about?
Ms. Bondi, please answer my questions.
Ms. Bondi, your robberies are 77% higher than the national.
My question is this.
That's what I want, Senator, do you.
Have the power to say no to the President? And what you're suggesting today by your non answer is you don't have the independence to say no to the President. So let me ask you a different question. Also requires you, if you're going to be a good Attorney General, to be able to tell hard truths to the President. So my questions now are, can you tell hard truth to the President? So let me start with an easy truth that you could speak to the President. Can you tell us, can you tell him that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election? Can you say that? Do you have the independence to say that? Do you have the gravitas, the stature, the testament of fortitude to say, Donald Trump, you lost the 2020 election. Can you tell us that here today.
Senator, What I can tell you is I will never play politics. You're trying to engage me in a gotcha. I want to ask a question. If you can speak truth with any ongoing power.
So let me ask you another.
Like you did leaving your Devin Nunes memo.
If you review hundreds of cases on.
Day one, I will look at every.
File I am asked.
Of course you won't. So will you advise the President?
Can I answer the question? Well, my question, I would have plenty of staff. You said of course you want, you'll.
Be able to review.
Listen, I'm not going to mislead this body, nor you.
All right, Let me ask another question. You don't want to answer that. Let me ask another question.
You were censured by Congress for comments just like this that are so referenced.
It will also be important.
This is, I mean, it's a long, long clip. And that's a, that's just like the annoyance of, of sitting in that room and just being bombarded with these questions and things and like four hours at a time. Oh, yeah, yeah, it's, it's. I mean, how draining, bro. But I, I love it. I, I love, I mean, and this is, again, what we're going to dive into here is just like what, what is true leadership and, and how to do it in a, in a fashion that, that still, still is respectable. Right? And, and, and it doesn't have to be name calling and, and threatening in a way, but in a way that, that just bestows, like, true honor and, and even leadership. And so I think Pam did a great job with this, but I was so impressed, dude, with, with Pete and what he had done. And, you know, I don't know Pete, and personally, Graham does, and he just has incredible things to. To say about him. Graham got to. To be there during this, and, you know, he said it. He blew all expectations. Pete did. Blew all expectations even more so than, you know, what they had really thought was going to actually happen. And so I think I want to break this down. Do we have actually. Do we have a clip of Love Pete here? Yep, I think we do. Okay, let's play this clip, and then let's kind of break this down. Christian, and really what it means to be a true leader and not. Not just a leader, but under the lordship of Jesus Christ. And I think Pete is a shining example of this, but it's got, you know, maybe he's got some skeletons in a closet. We don't. We don't know all that, but we're going to dive into this. And what does that actually mean? Can. Is. Is there a thing of redemption? And can God even still use me? Right. Can God still even use you even though we've done maybe some stupid things in our past?
So go ahead, Royce willing to endure these attacks, but what I will do is stand up for the truth and for my reputation. False attacks, anonymous attacks, repeated ad nauseam, printed as nauseum nauseam, as facts we have provided to the committee, Mr. Chairman, and I know you're going to share on the record statement after on the record statement from people who have served with me, worked with me at Fox News, concerned vets, vets for freedom, you name it. From the top of the chain to the bottom, who will say, I treat them with respect, with kindness, with dignity. That's men, that's women, that's black, that's white. That's every background. I have prided myself as a leader of respecting people, being professional. That is the balance of mind. I'm not a perfect person, as has been acknowledged, saved by the grace of God, by Jesus and Jenny. I'm not a perfect person, but redemption is real. And God forged me in ways that I know I'm prepared for. And I'm honored by the people standing and sitting behind me and look forward to leading this Pentagon on behalf of the war fighters. Thank you, Truth.
Let's go. Yes, I. I think he even started to get choked up there when he was talking, there was such humility there. But what was the first thing you said? He's going to stand for truth, right?
Yes.
If you're not a spirit filled believer of Jesus Christ, a follower of Jesus Christ, a disciple of Jesus Christ, then this Bible isn't going to be your truth. So if you say you stand for truth and you're not a Christian, I don't really care what your truth is, because it's not going to be truth if it's not coming from the word of God. So that, that's the type of leader I want at every department, right? Every elected official across the board, from presidents down to mayors to school councils, because truth is truth. There's one truth we find in the word of God. And he says he's going to stand for truth. But then he says, go check my track record. I treat everybody with respect, dignity, kindness, right? Well, kindness, that's one of the fruits of the spirit, right? The, the way you treat everybody and even the way he handled the questions, right. I, I think he displayed dignity, he displayed respect, displayed kindness, displayed grace. And even the way after getting hammered that, you know, they're trying to pull out all the skeletons from his closet. And I, I asked anybody this. Who doesn't have skeletons in the closet? Right?
Right.
Who doesn't? But the difference is the ones who have totally surrendered to Jesus Christ and made Jesus Lord of their life, those skeletons, they're washed away. You're made new. You have an absolute clean slate. And he talked about redemption. That's what redemption is. To redeem is to buy back. And the death of Jesus on the cross was the redemption. He bought back us sinners. Right. I, I was thinking of myself, I almost said losers. Not that everybody's losing, but I was thinking of myself because I was a freaking loser before I came to Christ. But he, he, he purchased us back where everything that we were set to lose because of sin, right. The eternal death in a lake of fire that we were set to inherit, that all got wiped clean. That all got purchased, redeemed, bought back. And now we have a new life purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. And to hear him say redeemed and the humility he displayed there, Right. Great to even acknowledge. And humility is such an important. First of all, it takes an act of humility the first time you cry out to God. Right?
Right.
That's an absolute act of humility. When you come to that realization, that acknowledgment, like the way I'm doing It's wrong. The way I'm living is wrong. It's not fulfilling, it's not satisfying. I, I, I'm, I'm chasing these things of the world and I'm finding myself emptier and emptier and emptier. Jesus says that the first beatitude is blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom, Kingdom of God, right? And that that poor in spirit, meaning there's complete absence of self. There's an acknowledgment of your depravity apart from Jesus Christ. But the, the, the, the awesome dichotomy of coming to that humility and that realization of how, and that lowliness of mind of who you are in your inner core, but that Jesus has redeemed you, you, he has purchased you back. He set you free by his grace. Right, by his grace. It's unmerited favor. We don't deserve it by any means, but he did that. It's this awesome dichotomy of feeling so low and minuscule and seeing God is so, so big and majestic and grand, but then at the same time feeling like the most self worth you could ever feel and the most love you could ever feel and, and having a confidence in who you are in Christ now. So that lowliness of mind that, that self absence that you're displaying, you feel like freaking King Kong when you, you, you have this encounter with the Lord or this fellowship with the Lord and you feel his love, you feel his loving arms around you. It's just remarkable. And this is the, I want him to, a guy like that to be the secretary of defense 100%. I want a guy like that to be president, vice president, like the governor of Texas, somebody who's, who's like that. And not to say that, you know, the governor of Texas or Trump is not like that. I'm not gonna, gonna judge their, their Christian walk by any way, but man, that, that's true leadership and the ability to serve, right? That humility that you display and that, that, that servant mindset, right? And you even talked, talked a little bit about in the past that, that, well, you kind of made it up, right? That what, what type of leader? Not servant leader, but steward.
Stewards. Like stewardship, right? Yes. Yeah. Yeah, man, I so good what you just said there, because there, and even like sitting in that Senate hearing and what they're doing, you know, bringing up those old skeletons in the closet, dude, that's what the enemy does to us every single day, right? He tries to remind us of, of how we're, we're not worthy, right? And, and truly we aren't, right? But because we were once slaves to death and, and we've then received Christ as, as Savior, now we have become slaves to righteousness, right? And, and so this is, this is a, a different type of, of slavery, like, type of mindset. It's like, what is that, that actually mean to be like a slave to righteousness? And righteousness? Is that, that grace, right, that you mentioned, that, that unmerited favor that, that God pours out upon us? And I think, I think an important thing to even remember is the difference between what would, some people would call mercy and grace. Because I, I struggled with this for a while. I was like, well, what's really the difference? Because, you know, Romans, I think it's Romans goes into this a lot of like, you know, should, should grace just abound and we should just do whatever we want when we want because Jesus is Savior, right? And, and this is how I lived my life for, heck, 14 some years. And, and it's like I, I checked the box, I was like, yeah, I got a ticket, right? I'm, I think I'm eternally saved. Was I truly. I don't know. I mean, I think that that's a great debate amongst theologians, I guess. Can you lose your salvation? We won't get. But there was this, this understanding that I just didn't have of what lordship really was in my life. And so, yeah, grace did abound tremendously. And, and back to just this understanding of mercy, like, mercy is not getting what we deserve. It's like if we think about it, it's like, have mercy on me. It's like, don't give me what I deserve. And grace is getting what we don't deserve. And that's just like a, for me, at least when I first really digested this and have, you know, ruminated on it, we'll call it, it's just like, man, it is so amazing. God's grace is just pouring out, giving me what I don't deserve. That's what righteousness is like. Like, none of us are, are righteous, right? Unless we have received Christ as Savior. Now this is this pursuit, this, the sanctification process that we actually talk about, about truly having Jesus as our Lord and not just as like my, my hopeful, you know, get out, get out of jail card, right? It's like when we, when we, you know, finally leave our flesh shoots here and it's like we pull out our, our card of like, no, I got a Ticket. It's like, dude, I never knew you. I, I never knew you. I mean, Matthew 7 scares the crap out of me when, when we, when we read that, and it's like, like, what does it really mean? And, and I, I just love this, this is what America has needed to, to get leadership. And this is why what I love. Turning point Charlie Kirk. Turning point action. Turning point faith is, is getting Christians back into these, these roles of leadership and roles of authority to usher in the, the presence of God into the Capitol buildings, into, into the lawmakers, into, you know, how we're making decisions, how we're, we're, we're choosing to tax, right? And, and you know, I think we do pay. We should pay a tax. We talked about the External Revenue Service, but we are also called to pay pay Caesar. What? Caesar's right. We're contributing to, to society here as a whole, and that's great, but there's the abuse, right? Whatever God creates, Satan counterfeits and abuses it and, and will continue to wage war against us unless we become back to that slaves of, of righteousness. And from the top down, the leadership down, how our leaders seek the Lord first is going to be the trickle effect that we get to experience here in America. In the last four years, the last eight, I mean, the last few decades, it has just been a, a, a, a continual kind of downward spiral. It, it's like now, I think I, we ended last week's show with just like, if, if, if you will humble yourselves and, and you will turn back to God, right? Have that humility, acknowledge him. There is redemption there for us. And, and I just, I love what Pete said there. I think, I mean, that was just like a, I think a divine moment that, that will, you know, obviously we're talking about it, right? But I think it's something that will continue to have effects here in this country moving forward. So, yeah, brother, I mean, there's, there's more that I want to break down with this in, in regards to what he had said, I, I, I, I thought it was just funny. He's like, I was saved by Jesus. And Jenna, it was kind of like a 4. 4. It sounded like a Forrest Gump moment to me, Jenna. But dude, that, that's how amazing his wife and I don't know if these, these allegations and things in the past were true. There's probably some truth to it, right? But I'm sure a lot of them have been falsified and, and, and made up. But that's what, what, you know, his wife coming alongside him and, and supporting him in this role. This is what God can use, right? And this is, this is what I believe us as, as believers here need to realize that yes, we are all broken. We have all jacked this thing up. I've done it worse than, than most. And it's like, but God, use me, right? Like use me. Here I am. And, and, and by, by your mercy and your grace now use me to do the things that you want to accomplish here on this earth. And when we posture our hearts that way and, and, and Jenny even being willing to do that, maybe there, there was forgiveness involved there. I think that's just an, an evident heart of God's grace, right? Because forgiveness is not something that we, that's not natural for us. It just isn't right. Someone wrongs us, it's like, nope, done, you're dead to me. Vengeance. Yes, but, but because of God's grace we can forgive and it can be the hardest thing that we go through. But that's part of this lordship, right, what we're told to do, do. Because back to the Bible. If we, if we believe it, if we believe Jesus is, is Lord and, and I'm going to trust that the Bible is the infallible word of God, then our opinions of those things, right? Because I got a lot of opinions about what I read. I'm like, ah, I don't like that. Well, it doesn't matter. There's a lot of things I don't like, I don't want to do, but it doesn't matter because this is what I'm called to do. This is what I'm told to do. This is what it means to be obedient, right? And obedience is what God honors and will continue to use. And if our posture of our hearts and the disposition that we wake up every day and it's like, Lord, whatever you have for me, I'm going to be obedient. I want to be. I'm a slave to righteousness. Now I'm going to actually pursue you. I'm going to make the decisions not based on my feelings, but based upon my commitments. And I'm first and foremost committed to you. Those are the leaders that God can put into place, right? We, every, every government, every authoritative role is, is instituted by God, right? But not all seat is occupied by godly people, right? And so if we can, can be the effect and, and put those godly people into those places which I believe we have done and we will continue to do if we don't become lax if we don't become lazy, if we just, you know, don't just become fat and sassy. Like, I think we had gotten uncomfortable, but now we can pursue this thing again and just become th. Those slaves to actual righteousness. So.
Yeah.
Yeah, brother, go ahead.
I saw Michael Warfield in the chat say, don't most Christians just kind of treat Jesus as a genie in the sky? Yeah, and that's why we kind of put the air quotes around Christians. Because I, I don't care one bit if I'm referred to as a Christian. I want to be referred to as a disciple of Jesus Christ. I want to be referred to as a servant of Jesus Christ. I, if Jesus is my Lord, I have no problem saying that I am a slave to Jesus Christ. And that's the relationship when Jesus is lord of your life, that is the relationship that the Bible plays out in Scripture. It's a relationship between a master and slave. But it, there's no less than 10 parables that Jesus spoke book where he talks about the relationship between a master and a servant. Right? And it's really remarkable when we get this idea of. Because the, the Bible says clearly and I, I could even read it here. Romans chapter 6 says, what then shall we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? Certainly not. Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey? You are that one. Slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness. So what Paul is saying here is that you're a slave. One way or another, you're. If you're not a follower of Jesus Christ, if you don't have a relationship with him, you're still a slave. You're, you're a, a bond, servant to, to death, to sin, right? You're a slave to that thing. And man, I remember Lucy, Pete, and I appreciate Pete thanking Jenny because I will always thank Jesus Christ absolutely for saving me, washing me clean, redeeming me. But I, I give thanks to Lucy because she's the one who led me to that path of Jesus. So I appreciate when Pete says that and gives honor to his wife for that. But to, to be a slave, right, to be this bond servant, that type of relationship that we have with Jesus truly as, as Lord of our lives. I mean, in the New Testament it's like 17 times that that word. You may see it in your Bible, depending on the translation, as slave, as bond, servant, as servant. But ultimately what it is, it's more than just, yeah, I follow Christ, I, I wake up, I, I say my prayers, you know, maybe I'll read the Bible throughout the day. It's way more than that. This thing is, it's not religion, it's relationship. It's about a true relationship with the living God. Think about Thomas, when he saw the resurrected Jesus. He just cried out, my God, God and my Lord. And that word Lord there, right? That is Master Adonai, right? And so many times in scripture, even when you read the parables where he's just talking about a master and a servant, that's that word adone, right? Adone. That a master. And if you are a slave, what rights do you have? What rights do you have? You, you don't have rights, you're totally subservient to who your master is, right? And I know that there's, in biblical days, there's different examples of indentured servitude, bond servants, right? And there were times where you, you were a slave, you had no rights, but you took up, you were treated fairly. It writes it out in the Old Testament how you were supposed to treat those who, who were bond servants to you, right? And that's how people paid off debts back in the day if you didn't, you know, when we had the Christmas episode and we talk about St Nicholas Bliss and how he blessed that father who lost, lost his business, basically lost everything and he owed money to people and they were going to take his daughters to be the, the servants, these bond servants, these slaves, essentially, right? Scripture still wrote out that they were to be treated fairly, respectfully, that sort of thing. I, I, it's not what we think about being a slave and being lashed in, in that, however, that relationship between, in the Greek, it's doulas, right? That, that's what that slave is. And even Paul, think about this. When you write a letter or you introduce yourself to somebody, do you say, hi, I'm Riley, I'm a slave to Christ? You usually wouldn't introduce yourself as that, but that's how Paul introduced himself in these letters. He said, I, Paul, Paul, a bond servant of Christ Jesus, right? He literally opened up these letters, Philippians, Roman, saying I am a slave to Jesus Christ. And when we see what it, what it means to actually be a slave, I'll continue reading there. Romans 16, verse 17. But God be thanked that though you are slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered, right? So they heard the gospel, they heard the good news of salvation and, and, and they believed, they placed their faith in Jesus Christ, it says, to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness, as you mentioned before, being a slave to righteousness. So you're, you're a slave to something. And we've talked about this in the past with worship. We were created as worshippers. We are going to worship something, right? But we got the NFL playoff this weekend. There are people who worship their NFL team. They are loyal, they are devout, they have an allegiance, they pledge an allegiance to, to this team, to this franchise. And that's worship. God created us to worship. It's just what are we worshiping, right? And he desires that we worship him with all that we have, that we love him with, with all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mind, all of our strength, with absolutely everything. But when we actually know our identity as a bond, servant, as a slave, what does that actually do? It actually makes us free, right? When we are a slave to Jesus, we are as free as we could possibly be walking this earth. We are free. When I became a slave to Jesus, I was freed from a 14 year drug addiction like that in the snap of a finger. I was a slave to that drug for 14 years. It totally enslaved. That was my God, that was my everything. I would do just about anything to get my hands on it. It right? I live for it. It was in my thoughts 24 hours a day. It was what, for a short time satisfied me and then it wasn't satisfying me. So you do more and more and more try to get that satisfaction. But that was my absolute everything. I revolved my day around it. Literally everything. It's remarkable like how when you don't have something that you love that much, there's nothing that will stop you from getting it. And that's the type of devotion, that's the type of passion, that's the type of fervency that Jesus is asking us to seek him with. Because once we get a taste and see that he is good, how can we not keep coming back to him with that same sense of urgency? And yeah, as, as you said in the, the chat, some people just call upon Jesus when they're in need, right? And there's been times throughout my walk, I, I've been saved 13 years now. There's been times in my walk where it's like, oh man, am I just calling upon God when I'm in need? And then I got to get myself back to that place where no, I just want to wake up and in the morning, throughout the day, before I go to bed, spend time where I'm just talking to him, right? Ju, just thanking him. Just have that time of praise and worship on your own and you fellowship with him. Again, this is a relational God that we serve. And again, to be a slave to Christ is to be the freest you can in every sense of the word that you could possibly be. And part of that freedom is that everything that you did do in the past, like all the crap they try to pull, pull up about Pete, he death, it's like, listen, I acknowledge the things I did. A lot of the crap that you're saying is from anonymous sources. It's a smear campaign. But yeah, I'm not a perfect man. I, I, I did some dirt, right? But guess what? And just the way he wasn't trying to get out of it, I believe he was intentionally trying to glorify his God, right? He was just giving honor and reverence to God. It's like I did those things, but guess what? The, the slate has been white clean. And I love how scripture says that, that God chooses not to, to, to remember the things that he's forgiven us for, right? He forgets those things. Think about that. How many times even like in your marriage where your spouse did something or said something and it's like, yeah, I forgive you. But then another argument comes up down the road and you're thinking about that same thing. And I, I used to be good at that. I used to like throw jabs that were like old stuff that had been dealt with just because I was trying to get an upper hand, right? And, and then, and the Lord did a work of my heart. It's like, do I do that to you? Do I do that to you? And you're dead right about the, the enemy, he, he's the accuser, right? He's going to try to bring up all that stuff from your past. He's going to try to condemn you and make you feel shameful and guilty. But guess what? We were deemed by the judge not guilty when we said yes to Jesus Christ. We, we, we've been justified through our faith. Justified just as if I didn't do it, right? So the enemy, he's gonna chat and chirp as much as he possibly can, but we need to know who we are. And the best way to, to remember all this and get back to all this and just get closer to Jesus is sitting in his word, Know what the word of God says. And speaking of which, we do a Wednesday morning Bible study. Every Wednesday morning, 7am Central Time. We just started this past Wednesday, chapter one of the book in the Book of Revelation. We're going to go through verse by verse through the entire book of Revelation. It may take six months, it may take six years, who knows? However, however long the Lord leads us through that book, I want to finish it like before the Rapture. You know, we're talking so much about end time events in the Book of Revelation. I'd like to finish it before the Rapture, but, but how cool would it be that in the midst of a, a Bible study going through the Book of Revelations when the Rapture actually happens?
Yeah, man. Again, Wednesday morning just kingscouncil bible study.com for those that, that don't know or you can check us out. Join kings counsel.com you get on our email list. We send out reminders every week for that. But yeah, Revelation is a book that is, there's a lot to go through that and I'm just grateful for you man, for, for leading us through that verse by verse because it's, there's a lot to unpack there. Dude.
It is so, so many people, so many pastors even, they, they say that that's the most requested book to, to do a Bible study for, but it's the one that pastors want to teach the, the least. And it's like even if you, you, you're new to Jesus, you're new to the Bible, sit and read it, get a good study Bible use, utilize resources that are there, join our Bible study. I'm not saying I, I know absolutely everything, but I put a lot of study into this. I, I utilize a ton of resources to make sure I could convey that information is the best way that you could absorb it and consume it. But the book literally opens up with saying it promises a blessing to those who, who read it, to those who hear it and to those who observe it. Right? So it's the only book that promises it's a direct blessing for those who read this book in the Bible. So don't shy away from it, get into it. Now. I wouldn't just Google randomly some of the things that are written. There's much symbolism in the Book of Revelation. You know, dragons, the, the, the woman who, who drank the blood of the saints, stuff like that. You know, there's a lot of imagery there, there's a lot of symbolism. So I wouldn't just Google or just put it in YouTube and see what pops up. But part of what we do on Wednesday mornings I, I provide notes. There's plenty of resources that are. Are good true accurate that you could go to for further explanation.
Yeah, dude, the notes are. Are fantastic. That that in itself is. Is a study alone, man. So, so really really grateful for that. So back to just like this, like slave master. I know we're kind of winding down on time, but you mentioned the, the Greek word doulos, but the, the converse of that or other end of that. What is that. What is that Greek word that you.
You had mentioned or curious curiosity as Lord and master. So it's a title. When we know God to be your Jesus to be Adonai. It's a title, right? It's. But it's also a title for a master. If you are a master of slaves or bond servants, you have that, that title. But the, the way it's written out in scripture from COVID to cover, when you see the relationship and how God uses that relationship for us in him, you, you realize the, the servitude that's ex. That should be expressed to him. Now Jesus says in Mark 9:39 that if anyone desires to be first, he shall be last, last of all and servant of all. Right? So. So the greatest in the kingdom is the one who serves all. But that, that. That's not being a slave to all. That's a different Greek word, that's Diaconus that he uses there. So we are to. To. To. To be a slave to Jesus and Jesus alone, but we are to serve everybody. And again we have the ability, we have the capability to serve everybody in a way that there's been times where I've ministered to somebody or I've just loved on somebody or pray for somebody. And they're like, man, I. I just feel like God himself is here with us. And it's like, well, yeah, he is. That's the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives and make me the Holy Spirit. And I, I hope that every word that I say is, is pleasing and acceptable to the Lord. But the Holy Spirit not only lives in me, but before he lives in you, before you come to place your faith in Christ, best believe the Holy Spirit is wooing you. He's pulling you near, he's tugging at your heart. He's a lot. He's allowing things to happen in your life. He's allowing doors to close that you wanted to be open because it's going to. She's down another path to, to actually seek Him. There's so many ways in God's providence that he draws us to himself. And then that moment when our heart, with everything that we have, when we seek him and we, We. We search for him again. I mentioned last week, I think, or maybe it was on Bible study, that moment when Peter walked on the water, he was looking at Jesus in the moment. He took his eyes off of Jesus and felt that he started sinking. And he cried out, out to Jesus for help. And what happened, Jesus immediately extended a hand and pulled him up. That's exactly what Jesus does for us. And oftentimes people don't seek the Lord until they're in that situation where it's like, I'm sinking, I'm drowning, I have nothing left, I'm at the end of my rope. And they cry out and God's still there, even though we, we dismissed them, we rebelled against them, we cursed Adam, we decided we didn't believe in him, we didn't want Him. But that moment when we truly cry out and surrender and again, think about Peter and we talked about humility a bit. When you cry out to the Lord like that, there's no greater act of humility. When you're like, I don't care about myself. There's nothing in me that could help myself anymore. When you come to that realization, you cry out to the Lord and so quickly. And for me, the day that I got saved, and I'll never forget it, it. The realization that Jesus was standing right in front of me the whole time with open arms, just waiting me, waiting for me to fall into Him. That. That revelation that I had in that realization that I had is like, oh, my God, I'm so not worthy. And I was so, so sorrowful of the things that I said about him when I was trying to make other people believe that God wasn't real. That the, the conversations I would have when I was mad at life, mad at the world, and I literally saying, like, like f you, God, if you're even real, you cause all this bad crap to happen to me. To realize he was just. He was there the whole time. That's a love that we're supposed to display that same type of love to those who are unlovable like that. And we can, but it's like, I feel like I, I don't even come close. I think I love my wife and kids real well. But that type of love that Jesus displays to us, right? And even in Revelation, we went over it on, on Wednesday where it said that he loved us and, and cleansed us and, and some translations say that he loves us, but like the new King James that I teach out of says he loved us. And it's like, okay, well, did he love me when I say said yes. And now he doesn't anymore because we're on like a rocky relationship. I haven't been spending time with him, but I think the significance of that is, it is he loved us. He absolutely loves us, us now, but he loved us and demonstrated his love for us that while we were yet sinners, he died for us. That's why it's in that past tense, because he loved us even before we knew he loved us, before we felt his love, before we welcomed his love, before we received his loved. His love. And it's just remarkable, man. I, I, I just love Jesus.
Yes. Yes, we do. Yes, we do. So once again, I think there was a question, when does this study begin? It began last week, but it's every Wednesday at 7 o' clock Central Standard Time. Kingscouncilbiblestudy.com will get you there. Or if you just go to join kingscouncil.com get on our email list and we will send you a reminder. Christian does a good job at getting that out prior to and providing notes all, all throughout it as well. And who knows long it's going to be? Will it be before or after the Rapture? We'll see.
Yeah. Yeah. Every Tuesday you'll get an email from us with a reminder with the, the zoom link to join. And then you'll also get a, a, a link to last week's Bible study. If you watch that, if you want to watch that catch up. But also I have a, a Google Drive folder that's going to have all the replays, all the, all the notes for every week.
Yes. Yes. All right. Well, well, this hour flew by, brother. It always does.
When I start talking about Jesus, I'm like, oh my God, it's been two hours I've been talking to this person about Jesus.
It's always good, though. Always, always fruitful. So big weekend ahead of us. A lot of, of people we love are traveling out to D.C. so let's just be in prayer. Let's just be in prayer for them, for protection. I did read something. There's like 25, 000 or so boots on the ground agents like throughout DC which is good for protection, but it's going to be a big day throughout the weekend, but a big day on Monday and more just epic things happening. We'll probably have Royce hop on with us next Friday as well, give us a little update of everything that took place out there in D.C. and yeah. Any final thoughts, Christian?
Well, I just seen the chat. Shai, it looks like or Cheryl said that some people in her family think there's only 144,000 that are going to make it to heaven. Well, I will tell you the answer to that is not true false news. And if you want to find out who those 144,000 are, tune in on Wednesday mornings.
Dun, dun dun. Yeah. Lots of questions throughout all, all the book of Revelation. So join us there again every Wednesday morning. That all being said said, we love you guys. We appreciate you guys joining us here. Love all the banter in the, in the, in the chat and be back with us here this next Friday again. We do this every single Friday here on the Dear America Channel. Graham's got, you know, a number of other shows that are, that are airing on, on the Dear America Channel as well. All of them are great, really, really awesome people that have been joining this family and community. So check them all on out. And you guys have an incredible, incredible weekend. And you as well, Christian. We'll see you next week, brother. See you real, real soon. All right. Love you guys.
