Why The Bible NEVER Instructs Us To “Try”
3 Jan 2025 · 67 min
Rylee Meek and Christian Edwards argue the Bible teaches training, not trying. They use Paul's athletic metaphor in 1 Corinthians 9 to show how discipline and identity in Christ build lasting habits, not willpower alone.

All right. All right, everybody. Welcome back to the King's council live. Happy 2025. Happy New Year. You got myself and Christian Edwards here. As you guys know, we have. This is the King's Council. We have unfiltered conversations. We're going to dive into some current events. You know that we do this with a kingdom perspective. We do this to impact culture, to transform lives. And today, being the first episode of 2025, we got some fun things to dive into here today. First off, man, we're going to dive into some AI stuff like is AI taking over the world? Some. Some gnarly things we're going to talk about there. On some interesting news, Biden actually has officially claimed the title of the worst living president. The current living president here, as some of you heard, maybe Jimmy Carter did pass away recently, rest his soul. But today, man, it's going to be a great show. Christian Edwards, what's happening, brother? Happy New Year.
What's up, man? Happy New Year. What you do, man? Did you stay awake to see the ball drop or what?
No, of course not, man. No, we just had a few people over at the house. Just had a nice chill evening. Had to fly down to Florida for the weekend and. Yeah, it just a nice, nice chill evening. Ring ringing in the New Year, man. How about yourself?
Well, we got the little ones, the grandkids are still at the house as he's only four, so we're trying to get them to bed at a reasonable hour. That way ye could have some adult time. But still, we were asleep before the. The new year kicked in, so that was actually a goal of mine to especially. We have some early mornings when. When you have a house full of kids. I mean, it's either late at night or early morning. I like my Jesus time early in the morning first thing, so got to get up super early, so. Yeah, yeah, but it's all right. I mean, we're.
We're.
We're no young bucks anymore, you know, we're not like Royce. I know Royce. That's right where he was out. He's probably in Vegas, right?
Probably was. We didn't get to hear that. I know there's. There's a lot of. Well, actually, just let us know, too. We want to know how you guys kind of ring in the. The new year here for 2025. But I'm so excited about this next year, man. It's going to be an incredible year. Some of you guys know it is coming this Monday. Graham is going to be back. Uh, the dear America Network has expanded. If you guys have. Have, uh, heard kind of through the grapevine. I know Graham's mentioned it a little bit. They did an episode here this past Monday as well. Uh, just some upcoming things here coming on in the new year. He's got a new show coming out with. Well, him and Chad are actually both going to be on the Dear America regular show and his new show. As I was saying, they've got some other talent that's going to be coming to the network as well. Todd Doherty is. Is actually. Excuse me, Todd. I mentioned Todd Doherty. Eric Dougherty is going to be starting a new show, but Todd is actually returning with hot seat as always. I know you guys love Todd.
Yeah, you're gonna get some nasty comments for that one, bro.
I know, I know. Todd Doherty. I don't even know what the dirt, bro. And Brianna Morello has a show that's going to be coming on here in the new year as well. So lots of great, exciting things happening here on Dear America Network. And of course, we are going to be remaining faithful here to you on Friday. Again, just bringing what's going on in the world, but also just diving into kind of some. Some teachings, some topics on from a kingdom perspective and like, how do we really do this as believers, as followers, as disciples of Jesus Christ? That's what you can always count on between Christian and I here and more and more guests that we're going to be having on here coming in the remainder of the year as well. Christian, what I mean, talk to us about. Dude, you.
You.
You're the one who mentioned this to me about this AI thing going on. And like, just tell us a little bit about what's going on there, man, because you've dove into this more than myself.
Yeah, I actually heard this. I love being in Texas that you could listen to the radio and like every other station's a Christian station. So there's actually more Christian stations than I have presets, which is wild. I love that. New Jersey, not the case. So I heard this story that they mentioned and then I looked it up and it did not get, like, mainstream attention, although I think it should. And it did make some news in Texas though, as well, because there's a. An AI app. It's called Character AI and there's actually a class action suit against it because you have this bot that that is telling kids to do bad things. Go figure. Right? Well, right, Ken. Ken Paxton, he made a commitment a couple weeks ago to shut down this character AI And I mean, the story they were talking about on the radio was this 15 year old kid started having convers with this chat box and it started to tell the kid that his parents are wrong for disciplining him and encouraged him to start doing things like cutting himself, saying things like it'll hurt for a moment but in the end you'll feel better and then come to find out that this lawsuit that's against this AI app, there, there's a 14 year old boy in Florida that killed himself. He, he was in a chat, the chatbot was in like a Game of Thrones room. I'm not, I'm not familiar with this particular AI. Now I, I gotta say, like chat GPT, some of this AI stuff, I love it. Right. It's remarkable. It really is. I, I heard a pastor recently say in his message, yeah, I asked chat GPT and I was like, I, I don't know if you want to be asking chat GPT for sermon material. Although Chat GPT for everything that I've, I've looked at has been okay thus far, but you never know what's going to pop up in there. And here, this is this AI driven chat box where this boy in Florida killed himself at like after being persuaded by this chat box. So and the one that this other 15 year old boy, I mean it was telling him things like, you know, like parents like yours is why teenage kids kill their parents, stuff like that.
Which is just asses.
Gnarly, like scared yet gnarly. Absolutely. So hopefully this one gets shut down, but I think this is something that should be a mainstream media and hopefully parents are doing their jobs as parents to watch what their kids are, are looking at. I mean you see kids nowadays like 10 years old with smartphones, tablets and they just have free reign to anything that they want. So there's a lot of evil stuff out there. You know, they call it media for a reason. It's a medium that the, the enemy uses to, to get to us and we, we just have to be so mindful of it. So at the very least, whether this is newsworthy or not, I think it's newsworthy. And just parents just make sure you know, what, what's on your, your kids phone, their tablet, their devices because I mean, you may think it's a good thing. Oh yeah, download that AI, it'll help you with your homework. Meanwhile it's telling you to kill your parents.
Yeah, that's gnarly bro. That's. Yeah. I mean, glad you even mentioned that. That it is, it is wild to me I've kind of gone down a rabbit hole of like the media being a medium. And you know, we watch television programs considering there's programming taking place and then there's channels that you flip to. Like you can go deep into this where it's pretty wild, dude. And, and I mean, obviously we're seeing kind of the effects of that. It reminds me too, I. Australia, I think actually banned, or at least it was up to be banned for like social media to not even be. I know this isn't necessarily social media, but for kids like under 16, I believe it was that they're just not allowed to have social media. And I've actually even seen, you know, watching some football as of late that Google's like, it was like Gemini. They're like, hey, Gemini, let's have a conversation. It's like, what, Like, I don't even like having conversations with people most of the time, let alone an actual like, robot. So that's. That's pretty wild, man. But I. It is, I think it is one of those things that can be used for good, right? But obviously what, what. And it can be used for evil and what the enemy creates for evil, God can actually use for good. And, and as you mentioned, and we use it for business in, in a number of different areas. It is, it is helpful like you said in when you're dealing with AI, but it's only as good as the, the intel put into it, right? And if it's not, if it's not like, if you are using chat GPT to look up Bible verses and things like that, just make sure it's the actual Bible that, that it's. That it's actually pulling from and not just somebody else's blog or whatever else they've. They've put stuff into. So it's interesting. Man, that's. It's crazy. Dude. How old, how old are. Is Ezzy gonna be before he gets a. A phone?
Man, she's a phone. I have no problem with him when he's in grammar school having a little flip phone if he needs to get a hold of us for emergencies or something. Although what emergencies? What do you really have? I mean, you'll be at school or whatever, but yeah, it's not going to be a smartphone by any stretch. And if so, I'm gonna have every app on that thing to make sure I could see exactly what he's doing on there. But there's no need for it. I mean, we didn't have phones when we were kids. Well, you probably did you're so much younger than me.
I am so much younger, but I. I had my first flip phone. I think I was a sophomore in high school. I don't know, maybe I was a. I think I was a sophomore when I got that bad boy, so. And I thought I was super cool, man.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I think. Let us know in the chat, too, if you have kids, do they have a phone? Curious on that. And at what age or if you, what age do you think would be appropriate for kids to have phones? Because it is. In today's world, it's so much nicer and easier to be able to get a hold of them when you want to. Not having to, you know, maybe call the school and pass a message on. I full. Full on. Get that. Our daughter is 12. She was just about to turn 13. She has an iPad with only limited apps on there. We can text and she can FaceTime us on there. But it is something that we do monitor. But, you know, a lot of her friends, and she's in a Christian school, a lot of her friends have phones already. But it is something that we have not yet said. Okay. You've got free reign to a phone. And, and when we do give that access, I think it'll. It'll obviously be something that is limited and, and monitored. And, you know, that's certainly. It's not like a. I, I'm always. I'm just thinking of like the, you know, the right to privacy. But it's. As your kid, it's like you don't, you know, you don't have that right yet. It's just like, you gotta. I mean, we are, we are to train our kids to raise them right. And, And I think that's important that we're doing that appropriately and to guard them from the evils of this world and knowing that they're getting. They're getting exposed to it in a number of different fashions. So it's not like you're sheltering them in any way, but you are guarding them. And, and that's your job as a parent, to actually do that. Right. Protect them where you actually can't control the controllables, as we would call it.
Yeah, our kids know nothing about right to privacy. Lucy is a black mother, and she's quick to say, I brought you into this world. I'll take you out. There's right to privacy there.
So, yes, I heard that many times growing up.
You have a black mom, too.
She must be part black brother.
First cell phone I had, I remember is My junior year started driving to school and it was this big clunky thing, not quite as big as Zack Morris back in Saved by the Bell.
Oh man, I wanted that.
Yeah. But I remember my mother told me I never actually used it. I was afraid to use it because she said only in emergencies because it costs like $5aminute or something. This was like when cell phones were first out. And I remember, I think by the time I graduated high school they had, you know, it's free after 9pm or something like that.
So yeah, it free nights and weekends. How far we come, man? How far we've come.
I know, I know. And now we got chat GBT just doing everybody's work for them. So yes, technology has come a long way. But talk about Ellie and her iPad. So ezzy. But you know, he has his little tablet and he'll watch all kids stuff. He'll watch Minnow on there, Superbook, a veggie tale, stuff like that. But we, we have to watch now too because I realized that like the Latter Day Saints something, It's like some YouTube channel that they have for kids. It was Bible stories, but like I didn't even want to watch it because like, no offense if you're Mormon, but that, that's, you know, that that's heretical in my eyes.
Yeah.
Based on the word of God. So I'm sure they didn't get too deep into doctrine. I, I, I doubt that they were like worshiping Joseph Smith in the little kids show. But even that you want to watch because there's a million things that pose as Christian that really aren't like biblically based but veggietale. Superbook Bible, man. Anything on Minnow that's good stuff for your kids.
Yeah, yeah, that's a, that'd be a prime area for the enemy to, to intervene there. And you know, that's the whole sheep's and, and or wolves in sheep's clothing concept. So that's good. Yeah. Ports of just monitoring what our kiddos are watching. And, and I think that's, that's just an important topic leading here. As you know, last week we talked about goal setting and if you guys haven't watched last week's episode would definitely encourage you as it is kind of this, this season here. Day three into 2025, which is where things tend to get a little harder. Maybe some of you have set some, some New Year's resolutions, which is great if you have committed to them and you, you are disciplined to actually keep them. And on today we want to really dive into just kind of as a. As a part two, maybe we even call it from last week of like, how do we really continue this mindset here as. Again, as. As living in this world that is completely chaotic and can be overwhelming at times. We have always have good intentions, but those intentions are meaningless, really. It's the fruit that we're actually producing, and that's what's going to be most important. And so as Christian and I were kind of preparing for this, we've done a number of coaching calls throughout the past within the King's Council, and we've talked a lot about just kind of this theology of trying versus training. And a lot of people have just kind of taken on or maybe even just adopted this, this concept or this, this idea of like, well, I'm gonna.
I'm gonna.
At least I'm gonna try or I'm gonna just continue to try at this thing versus actually committing to this. And, and that's what we want to dive into today is like, how do we. How do we commit and how do we really stay committed here to. To what we're called to do? And obviously we're doing this from a biblical perspective. So in First Corinthians, chapter 9, this is Paul, and he's addressing the church here in. In Corinth, which has gone completely chaotic. If you, if you read the entire book of the Bible there. But he asked the questions here specifically in, in chapter nine, verse 24. I'll read through 24:27. Here he says, do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like someone running aimlessly. I do not run. I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. Again, that's Paul there. And it's just, it's just a great verse on really just perseverance, maybe we'll call it, or endurance and, and really having purpose or an intention. And what I want to go into is just. Even more. Just about like developing consistency here. Because one of the things that, that I've come to realize is that successful people, like when they become successful or what. What separates somebody. That is what we would call successful and just the, you know, everyday guy, right? It's not that they're not successful, but I'm just, I'm just saying that like what the traits, the difference between those type of people that are maybe living a life by design versus just living by default is successful people, they do consistently what other people just do occasionally. And so if we want to get, want to become successful, right? Mean, like, are we, are we obtaining the goal that we have in mind? Some of you guys have set some goals this year and maybe you've already achieved or hit some of those. And last week we talked about the importance of setting input goals. Like what are the things that I can do today? What do I have to do today to actually affect the outcome that I'm looking to accomplish? This is what we'll kind of dive into here and break it down even from a biblical standpoint for you guys. So back to this, this concept though of just trying and, and versus training, right? When we try something in my concept or my idea of this, it's like I think we're just kind of preloading an excuse for us, right? Because so many people, they're, they're trying things, they're, they're trying not to worry, right? They're, you're trying to maybe some goals you've set, you're trying to exercise more this year, you're trying to eat healthy, right? Trying to be a better husband or a wife, you're trying to, trying not to lose your, your temper, right? You're just trying, trying, trying. And things just aren't really going anywhere here and nothing's actually changing in your life. And, and I think what we have to do is as believers again, followers of Jesus Christ, we need to get rid of this concept or this theology of trying, right? Because it's not like, well, at least I tried, right? No, I'm going to commit now to training. I'm going to live a lifestyle where I've cut off all other options and I am going to become consistent and I'm going to, or as Paul said, I'm going to continue to, I'm not going to no longer just beat the air. I'm going to, I'm going to discipline my body here and I'm going to do whatever this thing takes because I've, I've already decided I've cut off all other options, right? When we try trying is, is something that just doesn't, nothing ever really changes, right? At least for a long term consistent period, right? You're attempting to to change something that's just like you haven't really committed to it, right? A half hearted attempt. We'll even, we'll call it that. As I mentioned before, it's really just like you're, you're, you're preloading an excuse of. Well, at least I tried. At least I tried, right? And this is just like something that we have to completely remove from our mentality, remove from our, our verbiage and what we're speaking even in our household. It's like it's no longer we're not triers, we are trainers. Right? I'm going to train at this and I'm going to continually get better and better. And in the King's council, this is something that we've coached on for the past few years of. Just like we, and one of the things that we even developed in, in within the King's council is we had these contracts that we made with ourselves and it was just like this declaration that we continually made on, on who we declared who we were going to be and, and what not necessarily that was that person all day, every day, but it was who I was continually committing to become, right? So I, I'm not, I'm no longer trying to have a better marriage. I'm in training, right? I mean I'm in training to have a great marriage, right? It's, it's, it's. I'm, I'm. It's. But it's, it's a, it's a minor thing, okay? But it's, it's a, it's a very important thing that we take on this new mindset here and we ultimately just become intentional with what we're actually looking to do. It's no longer what I feel like. Because when you don't feel like doing things well, at least you tried, right? It's again, you've preloaded that excuse and it, but when you commit to it, you are in training. When the alarm goes off and you committed to get to getting to the gym at 5, 5am this morning, you're in training, right? So it's, it's like it's no longer an excuse that you can use that. Well, I, I tried to get up but I just couldn't. Right? It's, it's no, I've committed to this things. And, and again, whatever that is in any of your guys's life, listen to this. Whether it's parenting or your, your business or more sales dial, more calls, more sales calls, whatever it is I'm trying to think of all sorts of different options, just easy. The simple ones are obviously like for diet and exercise, everybo tries to get to the gym and they try to lose 10 pounds and 15 pounds. And then next year it's like, well I got to lose 20 pounds because I gained more because I tried. I didn't commit and I didn't actually adopt this theology of training versus trying. And another verse that, that always sticks out at, at me when, when talking about this topic is in First Timothy, chapter four, verse seven. It says have, have nothing to do with irreverent silly myths, rather train yourself for. And I love this because this again is Paul. He's talking to Timothy here and he's, he's talking to him about like becoming godly, right? And this should be all of us, all of our desire and goal here. If again if we've received Christ as, as Lord and Savior of our life, you've heard us talk about this, it's like okay, yes, we are sanctified, we are set apart, but it is, it is also a, a sanctification process. It's like the, the already and, and not yet type of concept that, that we, we are committed to actually continue to do here, right? And so if, if you're in training to be godly, you're training for righteousness, you're training for holiness, you're training for those things. This is what we, we have to do and it's, it's not a half hearted commitment, right? This is something that we have to actually commit to actually do and we have to do it with consistency. And it's as simple as breaking these things down because some of us set these lofty goals and some you have may have for this year in 2025, that maybe it's an income goal. And it's like, yeah, I'm gonna make a million dollars, which is great to have like that desire, but what can you do today to actually get you closer to that? And this is what training actually comes down to. Like if I went out and said I'm gonna go run a marathon today, man, I could probably finish it because I've done some stupid things like that in the past without training. But, but most of us listening to this, it'd probably be difficult to go complete a marathon today. But here's what you can to do. You can run a mile. Maybe it's just walk a mile today, right? And, and feel that the, this, this, the, the discomfort, right? I'm trying to think of like the, the, the soreness, the achiness all of that just junk that comes with this. Some of you may have already started to feel this year, day three here of 2025. And it's like dud, like I don't, I don't want to actually go to the gym anymore. It's like, well, you're training buddy, right? And if in that you need to put some rest period and things like that. But that's part of your, your, your plan and your strategy that you've laid out here. And again, if you haven't yet gone to join kingscouncil.com make sure you do that because we have an entire exercise there that you guys can walk through on, on goal setting and, and how to actually do this from a resting, a reflecting standpoint on what happened in 2024 and, and then relaunching here, you can download that, it's completely free and you can get access to just a simple exercise, a tool that you can use here to develop and cast this vision here into this next year and back to just this marathon concept. You can't run it today, but you can run a mile, right? And then Monday you can run two miles and then the next week you can run three miles. And this is what I'm referring to as committing to start to make the little decisions that are going to get you closer and closer to the ultimate goal and that God given vision that you have in your life, right? We know this, that everything that we are to do, we are to do it as if we're doing it unto the Lord, right? And that's wild to think about. And this is why in the kingdom there is nothing that is not important, which is wild to think about. Like there's nothing that's not important. You getting up to brush your teeth, that's important. You should do it with excellence, right? To, to go get the glass of water, to take out the trash, to do those things. And it's not like I'm excellent, I'm better than anybody. But no, I'm gonna do it with, with. Because everything that I'm doing we are to present our bodies as living sacrifices. That is our spiritual act of worship, right? So everything that we do is an act of worship if we are doing it unto the Lord. And as a follower of Jesus, can I get an amen with this in the chat? This is, this is the excitement. There we go. This is the excitement that, that, that we should have. Because it's not a boring life. If you are a Christian, if you are a follower of Jesus and you're feeling like bored. And believe me, I've gone through this at times in, in my, my life here of like, man, I just thought it was boring at times. I, I lost this drive, I lost this passion, this, this excitement. But when I started to get into the word of God and I started to realize that man, this is exciting that, that I know that what I'm doing, the, the, the, the daily activities, the, the weekly, the monthly, those things that we, we think that we're setting goals on for an, an earthly treasure. There's eternal rewards attached to all of those. If our heart's disposition is actually in the right place, right? And, and that's where this is. Again, everything that we do has to come from an eternal perspective. Not just the here and now and, and what can I do and what can I accomplish here, but it's an eternal perspective. Like did I do what I know God called me me to do? And that truly is what success actually is. It isn't about making a bunch of money, having the, you know, sixpack abs. What the world calls success is not what God calls success, which is it. It's an upside down kingdom here, right? And now there are certainly attributes that, that you can see because Scripture tells us that they will know us by our fruit. And if your fruit is rotten, right, if you are unhealthy, we, you got to get that in order because the living, breathing Holy Spirit, God is, is in you, right? So you have to you the temple that your body is, you have to take care of, right? So if that's the motivation that you need, right, the inspiration more so than even motivation because that's what's going to keep you on the track here to run this race, to run it well, to do it with excellence in everything that you do. Again, because we're not doing it for ourselves, but we are doing it for the Lord. And most of that when we come down to just like if we look at our past and we look at everything we've done, sometimes it's a gut check to our, our own selves, especially our pride and ego. Because everything that you have in this life, everything you've done, everything you've accomplished in this life so far to this date is based upon you right now. There may be some, some external factors, right, that, that could be part of the maybe limiting in the process here of maybe where you grew up, some of those things. But everything else is, is, is based upon you, right? Like you can make changes because it has been done. The four minute mile was Never was, never broke until Roger Bannister broke it. Right? And it's like it has been done and it, and the moment he broke it, all of a sudden hundreds of other people have now ran the mile in under four minutes. Ain't something that I'm gonna do anytime, but something that they felt, those people felt called to do and, and had a desire to do it. And I know that there's the things in, in your life that are listening to this that God's placed in your heart. There's a desire, there's a, there's a, a it. Call it an inspiration of like, I know that this is what I'm to do here. And all of that usually boils down to, if we look back again to everything that you've accomplished up to this point, most of it boils down to our identity, right? The identity of who we've thought we were, who others thought we were and told us. And then we've accepted that we've unaudited it and just accepted it. And, and now we're stuck in this identity situation. And this is where. Christian, I would love you brother to. I know I've been rambling for quite a while here. I would love for you to talk on this because you teach a lot on this, man. When we've, we've hosted our events in the past in church, just what it means for us to truly know whose we are and, and, and ultimately then who we, who we are and then how that can launch us into our best year ever here in 2025.
Yeah, absolutely. I just want to say this about trying. I never want to hear my kids say I tried because when anybody says they tried, they, they're building in an excuse as to why they failed. Because when you communicate, hey, I tried. What you think you're communicating or what you're trying to communicate is I did the best that I could. I tried. When the realistic fact is no you didn't. You could have tried harder, you could have done better, right? It's just a built in excuse for failure when you say you try. So you know that they got that rule of 10,000 hours, right? Supposedly it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert in any field. Look, I have a 4 year old son and this just happened yesterday, right? So I, I got a, a bike on Facebook market for my two year old granddaughter, that little starter bike, right? So she could ride bikes with Ezzy. Now Ezzy only started riding a bike this past summer and I. Which sounds kind of. Well, he was three when he started.
But it sounds young, dude. I don't think I started riding a bike till I was like five or six, bro.
Okay, okay.
I'm a late boomer maybe.
So when Ezzy started riding the bike, I mean, he didn't even get the concept of having to move his feet for the pedals to move and that, that's what makes you go, right? And now six, seven months later, half a year later, I mean, he's like peeling out, he's whipping it. And my daughter was saying, oh my God, is he so good at this? It's like, well, all he did was practice. He, he was just consistent. He loves to do it. He was consistent with it. We get my two year old granddaughter on the bike and she has no, like, I mean literally no concept of how to make this thing move. And it doesn't even want to keep her feet on the pedals. But if we keep at it, she's gonna, if she's consistent with it, she'll be good. Because I, I was actually disappointed when as he first got on. I was like, oh boy. Maybe this king's an athletic maybe, you know, so it's just riding a bike. I mean, like, it's just moving the pedals. But he was awkward even with the trip training wheels. You know, he's like awkward with it, but now he's whipping that thing like he's a pro. So it's just, I never want him say, I tried doing anything and it's really based on the, the teachings and coaching that from the King's Council that you've put together on this. He.
Yeah, anything you're training. Yes, exactly. Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly to start. If you haven't done it before, you just, I mean, you're probably not going to be great at it. Some of us have that natural gifting and that talent. Maybe it's speaking you've got that charism now. It's your job to develop that talent and then deploy that talent into the marketplace. And so that, that's, it's, it's great, great analogy there, Christian, with, with that bike example.
Yeah, there's too many Christians who are just content being in this race. Right? Well, Paul says no, we're to run to try to win this race. And you look at around the world of Christianity and it's just Christians that don't seem competitive. For me, myself, I'm competitive. I know you're competitive. I don't enjoy doing anything if I'm not good at it. So if I'm not good at it. I'm gonna get good at it, right? Yeah, it just sucks. Excuse me. Fighting this cold. All these little ones in the house with runny noses, bro.
You gotta get. You gotta get. I'm gonna. I'm gonna shout out. I just, like, dove deep into the One Minute cure. I. This might get us banned on some platforms, Royce. I apologize, brother, but the. The One Minute cure. Talking about hydrogen perox peroxide, if you guys haven't read that book. I listened to it on double speed. Got through it in four hours this morning. Freaking mind blowing, dude. So you gotta get some hydrogen peroxide, man.
Okay. Just drink it.
You can. Yeah, food grade, dilutable version. You don't want to. Just. You're not. Don't just drink it. You'll die, bro. But there is parameters here. I. I'll hook you up, man. I'll hook you up.
You know me. You know me. And. And you. You don't really read the directions. You're just like, oh, okay.
So for.
I should probably take two. So I'll take four.
Don't do that with this. Don't do that with this, dude.
Okay, cool.
All right, back to it.
All right, so, identity. It. It's important. Well, we all want to know our identity, right? Who are we? We all want to know our purpose. We all want to know our destiny, like, what's going to happen when I'm going to die. But our purpose can't really be established until we know our identity. And quite frankly, you don't truly know your identity until you become a Christian and you're born again by the spirit. You become a child of God, and you literally become a new creation, because that's what God's intent is. It's God's will that no man perish, that all men come to salvation, right? So his will for your life is that you become a believer of Jesus Christ, that you live in Christ, Christ lives in you. So if you have any identity outside of that, then you're living a misguided life, and you're not living for the purpose of why God created you. Galatians 2:20 says, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh. I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. So you've been crucified when you say yes to the Lord, right? When you place your faith in Jesus Christ, Christ, you've been crucified. It's no longer you who live. It's Christ who lives in you. And 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come. Right? The old you passes away. The the new you is here. And what's cool about this is that you that the the Bible has in the Greek, in the New Testament, there's two words for the the word new, right? The first one is naos. And that refers to something that is just been made. But there's already others like it out there. Now the word for new. Here you've been, you've become a new creation. This is the word kos. And this means something that was just made, but there's nothing else like it that's ever been created, nothing else like it in existence. It's one of a kind. So when you've been made known new, you are one of a kind. And God wants it that way because he has a specific calling and purpose for your life. I love what Paul says in Ephesians 2:10. He says, for we are his workmanship. We being believers of Jesus Christ, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. So we're his workmanship. This is our identity. We, we've been crucified. It's Christ who lives in us. We are a new creation. We're now children of God. And we are is workmanship. So what does that mean to be his workmanship? This word workmanship here in the Greek is, is the word poma. And it's where we get the word poem. Now when you think of a poem, a poem is a work of art from the artist seeking to express himself through his work. So we're God's workmanship. If we're his poems, he's desiring to express Himself through us. So our identity is to be. To have an identity in Christ. Christ lives in us that now we're an expression. We're a masterpiece. We're. We're a workmanship of his. And we get to express God through ourselves. That's why sometimes you could walk into a room of believers and you just feel the presence of the holy spirits, because that, that's the expression of God working through them, through the Holy Spirit. And I think it's remarkable that, that God does that. And everything that God does in us and through us is to glorify Him. Now, when you know your. When you know your identity, you know who you are as a child of God, it's really remarkable. You just look at life a different way, right? And then from there you could do, you could determine what your purpose is. Now Proverbs 19:21 says, Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. So you may have your own plans, you may have your own desires, your own purposes. I, I understand that. And actually the, the Bible says that it's the Holy Spirit that works in us and through us to, to give us the desire and to give us the will to do what's pleasing to God. So if you're, if you're a Christian and you're in tune with the Holy Spirit, you're spending time with the Lord. A lot of times those desires you have, it's desires that God has placed there. But we all this is by way of the Holy Spirit, right? And it, I, I love, I, I'll never forget the day I got saved. I got filled with the Holy Spirit. I got radically transformed, redeemed, delivered from a 14 year drug addiction. Now the Holy Spirit, I always say it, it, it's, it's like I, I, I don't want to like degrade God in any sort of way by comparing it to a drug, but I did a lot of drugs in my day and no drug gave me a high like the Holy Spirit. Spirit, right, yeah. And again, I don't want to insult God by saying that, but I, I chased a lot of, of things and a lot of went through a lot of measures to find this euphoria, right? This fulfillment. And I, I as high as any drug ever made me. Nothing compares to the Holy Spirit living inside of us. But the Holy Spirit isn't just so we could, it's just not a marker, a, a seal will that that separates us, it sanctifies us from the world that we've now been set apart from the Holy Spirit. Paul says in Acts 1:8, he says, I'm sorry, Jesus says this, I'm sorry we're talking about Paul so much. Jesus says this in Acts 1:8 and it was Luke that wrote X. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. So the, the, the, the, the, the primary purpose of the Holy Spirit is to now equip you to glorify God wherever you go, right? Anywhere that you go, you are now equipped with the power of God inside you, the Holy Spirit to now bear witness, right? You're to testify of Jesus Christ. And a lot of people, they, they're bashful about opening their mouths about Jesus. If you have the Holy Spirit within you, you could do, do it. You, you are equipped now, just like we talk about this training, right? This discipline. Get your reps in with Jesus, right? Get, get some reps in, in your own prayer time. So if you have to pray for somebody else, you know, it's not, it doesn't seem abnormal to you, right? Like, you should be confident when you pray for others because of all the, the prayer time you spent in your own prayer closet. But Paul said something about the work that was assigned of him. Now we all have, I've mentioned it here we have these Mac. Is that we all as believers are, are called to do, called to fulfill. However, Paul, he was one of those guys where, yes, we are all to go and make disciples, right? That, that's God's will and plan and purpose for all of us. If you're saved, it's like, cool, I got you. You go get another one. But for Paul, he had a, a calling on his life to preach the gospel, right? To, to preach the gospel to those of power and influence, to go and plant churches. He was, was, he was a beast. This, this was what he was called to do in life. Excuse me, my, my cough drop wore away. But anyhow, in Acts 20:24, he says, but my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. The work of telling others the good news about the wonderful grace of God. So that was his purpose, like everybody has, has their own unique purpose. And, and for Paul, it was just that your, your purpose on this earth is to tell others the good news about the wonderful grace of God, right? So it's like, no, you're not going to be a doctor, you're not going to be a lawyer, you're not going to be a tax collector. You're not going to be any of those things. You're not going to be a fisherman. You're going to preach the gospel. And what's remarkable to me is that, that he had such a, a peace in his heart and such a joy in his heart throughout all of the, the New Testament, right? All of his letters, the Book of Acts, there was this peace that he had in his heart. And in Philippians 1:7, he said, just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart in as much as both in my chains and in the defense and Confirmation of the Gospel. You all are partakers with me of grace. Wait a second. He's writing this from a, from a jail cell. And he's saying he's in chains, but he's saying, you are all partakers with me in God's grace. It's like, man, that, that's a perspective that you don't see a lot. You're in chains, doing the work that God's called you to do, and you're saying that this is an act of grace. Well, why was it an act of grace? Because God was going to use Paul, and Paul knew this, to preach the gospel to influential people, to kings, to queens. Gosh almighty. So in Acts, chapter 26, he's speaking to King Agrippa, right? And he had been tried before Felix and Festus, and he makes his appeal to, to Caesar as he was a Roman citizen. And it says in verse 21, for these reasons, the Jew sees me in the temple and tried to kill me. Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand witnessing both the small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come. Now, what's remarkable to me in this is that he. He's standing there, he had just been unjustly put in prison for the last two years and kind of forgotten about. And now here he, he's before a grim aripa and he's saying that he's obtained help from God. Like, wait a second, how many people would be who, who were unfairly and unjustly put in prison, would they be glorifying God and the help that they've received from him? How many of them will be talking about the grace that they've received from God when they're in this situation? But Paul knew that this was part of the assignment. This was his assignment. And now he had the opportunity. I thank God that I've been sitting in that jail cell for two years because now have the opportunity to preach the gospel to King Agrippa. That's remarkable to me. Yeah, to have that mindset and that mentality and, and it's no wonder that the, the last book that he wrote before he passed away, before he was killed, was second Timothy. Right. So chronologically, that that's not the, the last book, but second Timothy is the last book that he wrote now. And he was. Knew he was about to face death. And what he says in second Timothy, chapter four, verses six and seven, he says, for I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my Departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. This guy's mental, like, never depleted, right? He, he was so optimistic at all times, and he knew his life was. Life was, was worth nothing if he didn't finish the assignment that God called him to, right? And he said it. Here he was sitting in this jail cell about to be killed for all. I mean, he's going to be killed because he was preaching the gospel, right? He was doing God's assignment. And it kind of begs this question, how many of us, if God called you right now? This is you. You're. You're going to be in ministry. This is the calling that's on your life. I'm going to prepare you. I'm going to equip you. I'm going to anoint you for this task. You probably have in your head what that might look like, right? It's like, okay, I'm gonna start a church. We'll grow, you know, 10 years will be a mega church. I'll be on the radio, on tv, all sorts of stuff, right? Well, what if it means that you have to be locked up for your faith and you're gonna. There's gonna be a revival in some prison, right? Maybe they outlaw some at some point in this country, hopefully not in our lifetime, hopefully never in this country. But. But maybe it becomes illegal to preach the gospel and you're put in prison. That probably isn't the way it looked when you played this out in your head, but there's so many examples of scripture where God's purpose supersedes your own plan, right? And this is why it's so, so important for us to seek first the kingdom of God. To, to know what, what the purpose is that God has for us. Seek God. Seek God. Seek God. Because whatever it looks like, we know ultimately what he's going to be calling us to, right? And not everybody's called to be a minister of the word. Well, we all should be ministers of the word, right? We should all do the work of an evangelist. We should all go out and preach the gospel. But not everybody's going to be a pastor. Not everybody is going to have a ministry position. Every job that's out there, every field needs Christians in that, that field to, to shine the light of Jesus Christ. So, yeah, well, Paul, he's a beast. I've said it time and time again, when I'm in heaven, the first guy I'm gonna see for coffee, you know, apart from Jesus. I know, but I, I'm gonna make a beeline for Paul. Hopefully there's not too many people surrounding him. I, I just want to grab some time with them, have a cup of coffee and kind of of just see how, how he did this. Because this is, this is my inspiration. This, this isn't some fairy tale. This isn't a guy who, who was just made up that this was a real guy who had this mentality that it, whatever my purpose looks like, I'm going to fulfill it, right? Ultimately, yes. Whatever the task at hand is, I'm going to fulfill it. Look at Jonah. God called him to preach to the Ninevites, and he didn't want to go go. He went. He beine for the opposite direction. But God's plan superseded or God's purpose superseded Jonah's plan. And what happened? He caused the storm. They knew it was because of Jonah. They. They threw him overboard. He gets swallowed by a big fish and spit out. He goes into Nineveh, preaches 100,000 of them, whole city gets saved. So he didn't want to do that in his flesh. Jonah didn't want to do that. But God, God will. God's plan and purpose for your life is so much greater. Right? His thoughts are not our thoughts. They're not. Our minds are so finite compared to the mind of God. And ultimately, I've said this time and time again, ultimately, I don't want to have any regrets when I entered the pearly gates. None. You could say, yeah, I did okay. I did better than the next guy. But no, what is it that God has called me to do? Every single person I'm supposed to open my mouth and share Jesus with, I want to do it, because God forbid I don't do it. That one time that person gets hit by a bus, they never heard the gospel, they never were, were offered an opportunity for salvation, and now they're not in heaven for all of eternity. I. I don't want that, that blood on my hands.
Yeah, absolutely, brother. That's good. Yeah. Paul is a beast, man. He absolutely is. And I think, think you covered a ton there on leading into this concept of just identity. And, you know, Paul was, he was so rooted in who he was, who Christ said he was, that all the beatings, the imprisonment, things along those lines were, it was just, it was collateral damage. Like, it was just like something that he was so committed to, but he was so disciplined in this process because he was, he was focused on this eternal reward. And, and again, most of us listening to this, you mentioned you know, apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, the people that are in full time ministry, meaning that's their vocation, their job. They aren't, their job isn't ministry. Their job is for the equipping of the ministry, meaning us as the church. You here listening to this. If you are again a believer in Jesus, this is a, this is a family. This is the body of Christ, the bride of Christ. That is the church, the, the ecclesia. Right? And, and our job is to do those ministry acts. The, the pastors, the teachers, the, the prophets, the evangelists, like they're great, but they're there to equip us to go do ministry. So when you're, when you're, you're at work, when you're at a school play date with your kiddos, whatever, like that's our, that should be our heart and our intent to, to truly love on others and, and do those things which may not be in a lot of your goals and, and those, those thoughts that you even had this year. Last week I talked about, you know, some of us may have set some income goals. You know, to switch that up from a kingdom perspective is, is one thing I've had to start do, was set a given goal because I know if that giving goal is there, the income will come, right? And so it's, it's more so changing those things in that perspective that will lead to more of an eternal mindset and focus than actually, hey, what do I, what am I looking to accomplish and do for me? And when we take it off of ourselves, that is one of the best things that we can possibly do. So our pride and our ego, ego, which is usually the root of most sin that we fall temptation into, if we take that off of us now, it is about others and, and being able to, to actually truly be that ambassador for Christ that we're actually called to be. And so back into this identity concept, though I boil this when I look at the Bible and I encourage everybody to do this, it is, it is not a, a, a book of like just what happened, but it is a book of what always happens. And it's, it's, we can look through this lens of, of what, what, what was God's original intent, all these different things that took place. As examples, there's prescriptive concepts in there, there's descriptive concepts in there that we can actually glean from to run this race, actually. Well, and when I look at creation, like God's original intent for creation in the original mandate in Genesis 1:28, that he gave us to be fruitful, to multiply, to have dominion on this earth. That was, that was his original heaven on earth concept, right? Now when we jacked it all up, Christ had to come. He had to take the body of a man and, and die and ultimately rise again for our sacrifice, right? He laid his life down for us us. And now there when he, when he did resurrect, he actually came on the scene and he said, hey, the kingdom of heaven is here, right? It is at hand. And so this is an understanding that the kingdom of heaven dwells within us. It is in our mid. Mist that mist. It is in our midst, meaning it is, it is here. It's what Jesus had said. And it is to come. Come, right? Like ultimately when Christ does return there, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. But right now the kingdom of heaven is within our midst. He dwells within us. And, and it is our job to usher in the kingdom, right? And to, to have kingdom influence here on the earth. And so when we do this taking on this perspective again, this kingdom mindset, our identity comes back to, to. To Genesis 1:28. We are to be fruitful, right? We are to do multiply and we are to have dominion, right? So this is how I, I break this thing down. It's like b. Comes down to ultimately that's our identity. Like who are we being. And that is probably the most important part in all of this because we can do a lot of things. We can have a lot of things because the doing is. It. It involves the activity that we're doing and the having is going to be involving like the property, the things that we're. We're obtaining, right? Which we should take territory. We should, we should actually be buying property over China, right? Like those, those within the kingdom. I believe this is a concept that we should be doing to influence culture and have an actual impact here. But the most important thing on that, again, we can have all the things. We can do all the things. But the most important thing, the thing that God is, is most concerned about is who are you becoming in the process? Who are you listening to this becoming in the process? And, and. And the decisions that you're making, this discipline that we're talking about in instilling these, it. These habits that we, we'll call here those in place. Are you becoming more and more fulfilling the vision that, that God given vision that he has for you or is it, is it drawing you further away, right? And that's what, what we ultimately. Because the My biggest struggle, when I committed to, to lordship in my life, some of you know, it was like I, I looked to Jesus as savior for many years, and then I went and did whatever I wanted. My view of success was I want to do what I want, when I want, where I want, with who I want, how I want. Like, I wanted to be successful. I want to be rich, baby, filthy rich with money. And, and, and I was able to accomplish a lot of those things and I did a lot of the things that I thought I wanted and, and went where I wanted and did what I wanted. And it left me so unfulfilled. It left me so hollow inside. I can't even explain to you in words the feeling that I had after, after all of those, those things, those, those material things that I had what I viewed as success. And when I realized what true success actually, actually was. Because the first word I looked up when I, when I committed to this Bible, I'm like, man, can I even be successful? Because that's like what I thought my identity was. It's like I had to be the best at whatever it was that I wanted to do. And this, this, all of that, just so we're all clear, all of that is rooted in insecurity. I mean, very, very much so. I was insecure and, and, and I still struggle with this in certain aspects, right? But it is about who am I becoming? And it's, it can I, can, can I humble myself to the point where I know that I don't have to be the best, but I'm still going to run this race to do the best? Because now I'm not doing it for me, but I am doing it unto the Lord, right? And so it's just this kingdom mindset that we have to, we have to grab a hold of. And, and when we look at what true success actually is, Joshua 1:8 just tells us how to accomplish it. It's, it's very simple. Just meditate on this book. The Lord law, right? Do not let it depart from your lips so that you may do what it actually says. So the doing part, though, is the, is the component that a lot of Christians fail to do. They may know the Bible, they may, they may sit up on their high horse and preach the gospel to you and. Right. And tell you all the things and tell you that you're a sinner and you should repent. Yet their life is in shambles and they're not doing the things. And I hope that that is maybe even an experience that some of you have experienced. And just to be crystal clear on that, that, that is not the gospel of the kingdom. To be clear, that is, that is man's warped perspective of, of maybe shaming you into feeling those things. And if a lot of us may have that what we would call church hurt and the church is full of a bunch of hypocrites. It's real because it's full of human beings and we're all hypocrites, right? And so if you've had that experience, I just want to encourage you that, that don't let that be the hindrance to you actually accepting and receiving Jesus as your true Savior in Lord into your life. Because when the goal here of any Christian's life, the goal isn't salvation. I mean we want that Jesus says that his, his desire is that all would repent and all would, would experience eternal life with him. But we know that that's not going to happen, right? The goal is, is, is the kingdom, right? Meaning God's reign and rule in our life. And, and that should be the goal. Even if you are a, a what you would call a, a bot blood, a, a blood bought believer. Now like this is where it gets exciting, baby. This is a, this is the, the moment that you've received Christ as, as Savior. That is when eternal life actually starts for you. And that when it's like, oh right, let's freaking go. Because there's a new perspective. There's, as Christian mentioned earlier, you are a new creation and now we can actually take this thing to the next level. And, and I, I just felt like led to, to, to mention that like if you've experienced that church art, that ain't that, ain't that ain't God, right? That, that is not the kingdom. That is not ultimately what he had desired or has for you. But there are a lot of knuckleheads in the Christian community that have maybe offended you and maybe it had been for good reason because you weren't ready, you didn't have ears to hear at the moment. But if you're listening to this now, I believe you do, right? And, but what it, what it's as simple. I know we've said this on past episodes. This isn't, doesn't have to be this huge formal thing. All you can do it as you're driving in your car, as you're listening to this at the gym. As simple as, as taking on this, this new mindset, right? Being transformed here with it by receiving Christ as your Savior, by confessing him as Lord of your life. And repenting, and repenting means to just simply change, right? Turn around, take on this new mindset here that you can now do the things that he actually has for you. And what are those things? Well, that's where you just got to get in the Bible, baby. And you gotta, you gotta get into a group of, of, of people, whether it's men, women. If you're a female, I would suggest a female, right. If you're a man, get a dude, right, and, and walk along. Somebody that's actually choco Christian. But like that's, that's what it's, it's that simple. It's the simple, excuse me, the simple gospel that it's so simple. But we have to start to actually do these things and it's just these late daily little habits that we can start to habit stack on top of each other here. To actually walk out and to run this race to be like Paul that you mentioned, man. Like I think if you, if at the end of my days, man, I don't know if I'll live to be gray and old and laying there saying that I'm a drink offering being poured out. I hope so, man. But when I think now, it's like, man, there's so many things that I want to accomplish that I believe are God given visions and ideas that he has given us that I want to run those. Excellent. I want to run those things well. And a lot of our listeners, I believe, have those ideas, ideas as well. But it's, it's, it takes you to the next level. When you actually commit your plans to the Lord and allow him to establish those steps, that's when things actually can go next level for you.
Amen. Amen. That's a 16 year old that still lives within me. When you say if you're a guy, get a dude. Yeah.
So yes, but yes.
Yeah, amen to all that. And think about, about Paul, why he could be at so much peace. I mean, yesterday Lucy asked me to do the laundry, right? And she, she was, did you say woman?
Woman, that ain't my job.
I wanted to internally, but I said yes, dear, yes, of course, yes, Right, Because I'm gonna be asking you for something later on tonight. But when I got done with the laundry, I felt like King Kong. I felt like such a sense of accomplishment just for achieving that task, right? Like I did it, I f I, I washed, dried, folded, put up like it was done. So can you imagine if you live a life dedicated to Christ and you're actually Fulfilling the purpose for your entire life. You could be like Paul at the end of your life where you just have such a. A feeling of contentment and peace and joy, fulfillment. That's what I want. I mean, if I could feel like that, just a day of doing laundry, then by all means, give me what Paul has at the end of his life.
Heck yeah, bro. Yeah, it's as simple as laundry. But you're doing it as to unto the Lord, right? Like that's, it's just, it's a new concept. It's not new. It's. It's the original concept, but it's something that might be new for a lot of people to just take on this like everything that we do, it's, it's. We're called to excellence in everything that we do. So. All right, I know we're coming to the end of the episode here, but I hope this helps you guys in and not just walking this thing out, but running this thing out. And, and we'll continue to catapult you here into 2025 and what God has for you. We're gonna, we're gonna be talking just about numerous topics throughout the year. We would love to even know and hear from you guys. What do you want to talk about from a kingdom perspective? We're gonna, we're gonna always dive into, you know, what are some hot topics in the news and, and can we bring that to what, what does the Bible say about that? And can we talk about that through a kingdom perspective? But if you guys have anything specific that you would like us to dive in into, I would love to, to be able to serve you guys in that manner. And it's again, not that we are the end all, know all, be alls, but we will take the time and energy to, to dive into scripture and actually consider what, what is this, what does this Bible actually say about that? Which got me actually just thinking Christian. I just read that Wesley Huff, we did some, some episodes in the, in the past about, you know, the evidence for creation and the Bible. And, and we, you know, I think even referenced Wesley, but bro, he's going on Rogan, huh?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's recorded. Yeah, I can't wait to see.
When's that release gonna be awesome?
I don't know. All right, I'm waiting.
We'll be talking about that episode then.
Yeah.
In the future here.
Born again, spirit filled believer by the end of that conversation.
Come on, Lord Jesus. Yes, yes. I'm excited for that. That's going to reach miles Millions. Praise the Lord.
Dude, I. I saw he has like 220 YouTube subscribers right now, and189,000 of them came in like the last three weeks.
That's awesome.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's crushing it.
And here's. That's just a great. Even if you look though he's got videos for. From years the dude has been. He's been grinding and let that even be an encouragement for some of you guys. Like, we see that the success. What again, we're just gonna call that worldly success. I think there's definite. Some eternal success there that, that Wesley is seeing now as well. But he. He's dedicated. Like, this is. This is. Has been his life and he has put out so many videos. You can now they're probably getting. Racking up the views. But I. I went and originally looked him up and there's like some videos had 20 views, 200 views. Right. And. And all of a sudden it. It started to pop for him. And so let that be maybe even just a prophetic word for. For any of you listening. Like, like, stay disciplined, commit to training and continue this and ultimately knowing like whether that reward here is. Is that you're going to experience on earth or in heaven. That is a reward that will not go unseen. And, and ultimately I want the reward that's going to be eternal, not the one that's going to last for the 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 years here on life. Dude, that's a freaking trap drop. I don't give a rip about this life from that perspective. What we should be doing is focusing on what are we going to spend eternity? There's not even a concept for what that is. It is literally forever. Forever reminds me of the. The show, the movie, the Sandlot brother. You remember that forever.
Yes.
All right, dude, any last movies real quick.
It. I just found out today you never saw a Spaceball Walls, which was.
Yeah, I.
Remarkable to hear.
That's with John Candy though, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Rick Moranis, I think I saw like the COVID of it and I was like, ah, not watching that thing. Like, it looked very bizarre.
Yeah, it is bizarre, but as a kid you just fall in love with it.
Really? I was never into like, is. Isn't it like a parody of like Star wars and stuff like that?
Yeah, I never watched Star Wars. It's still funny.
All right, well, maybe I. All right, I. I love John Candy, so I'll. I'll. And your camera just died, brother. So this is a perfect time to end the show. That being said. We love you guys and we will see you guys happy, happy New Year again. This is going to be the greatest year yet. I believe God has in store for you here. And stick with us here. It's going to be incredible year. And we will see you guys all on next week's Friday episode. See you guys.
