All right, Happy Friday, everybody. Welcome back to the King's Council live. You got myself and Christian Edwards. You guys know who we are. We are the King's Council. We have unfiltered conversations, but from a kingdom perspective. And what a week it has been, man. It's been a busy week in D.C. no question. Lots of Senate hearings. We're going to cover that. Certainly a tragedy that has taken place there as well. We're going to cover that in a whole lot more. Christian, what is up, brother? How you been, man?
What's up, man? Doing well. Doing well. Better than you after getting stuck at the airport the other night overnight because one of these crazy Texas storms just rolled through. So, yes, probably doing better than you.
Yeah, I'm still recuperating, coincidentally. That was on, on Wednesday evening as well. I don't think it had anything to do with what took place in D.C. but it was American Airlines, I will say that, but I think the weather had. Had to do with most of it. But yeah, I went like 38 straight hours, no sleep. I thought I was about to. Was hallucinating last night, but I got a, I got a full eight hours last night, man. So feeling refreshed and ready to go today. Back at it, baby. Back at it. Man. It's been, it's been a crazy week. All that being said, there's been a whole lot going on out in D.C. with these Senate hearings, Some, some fun stuff that's been taking place out of there. And as I mentioned, we're going to cover just what, what this, this plane crash, Actually, the plane and helicopter that, that took place in D.C. we're going to dive into that. And what does that even mean? As Christians, as, as believers, like, man, there's so much junk, there's so much crap that that just happens in the world. Some even question like how can something like that actually happen? So we're going to cover all of that, but let's, let's, let's dive into first like these, these Senate hearings that have been. Been going on, man. It's been kind of fun. Who do you want to start with first? Should we do cash? Yeah, I mean, you love cream, baby. You love cream. That cash rules everything around.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
What do you mean? Taught me that.
I know it's funny, but as soon as you said that, no, he spells his name K A S H. So I wasn't even thinking of cash money.
I thought you could connect the dots. I thought you could connect the dots, man.
I know.
Sorry, I dropped the ball on that one. I dropped the ball.
Yeah. Let's. Well, first off, everybody out there in. In the chat, it's good to see you guys again. We want to hear your. Your thoughts, too, about. First off, let's, let's. We'll dive into Cash here first and, And. And what actually took place. Hopefully all of these will. Will ultimately get. Get voted in. Uh, we're still waiting for the. The outcome of all that, but I think these guys all did a ph. We'll start with Cash here, but my favorite was RFK all week. Tulsi did an incredible job as well. But let. This is. Is this. Is this where we need to. To let people know of the verbat here? Royce, is. Is this the clip?
Yeah, it may be some explicit content, but it's just. He's. He's quoting something he was called just talking about the discrimination that he's faced himself.
Yes. Let's play this thing.
Fortunately, Senator.
Yes.
I want to get into those details of my family.
Let's get into a few of them. Tell me about it.
Well, if you look at the record from January 6th, where I testified before that committee, because of my personal information being released by Congress, I was subjected to a direct and significant threat on my life. And I put that information in the record. I had to move in that threat. I was called a detestable. And apologize if I don't get it.
All right.
But it's in the record. A detestable sand nigger who had no right being in this country. You should go back to where you came from. You belong with your terrorist home friends. That's what was sent to me. That's just a piece of it. But that's nothing compared to what the men and women in law enforcement face every day. And that's why they have my support.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah. I don't know. I don't remember what was said after that, but I think Cash did an incredible job, man. Did you get to watch much of that at all?
I just saw some clips that have been posted. Yeah, I think he did a great job. RFK Jr did a great job. Tulsi did a great job. Pete Hegg, sats, did a great job. And I think. And it's not just because they're all conservatives, but they're just great leaders. They know how to handle themselves while they're being grilled by people who are trying to bring up all their. Everything they've ever done wrong in the past and try to be a stumbling block for them. I think that in these confirmation hearings. I mean, this is where you see what true leadership is. And I think we'll get to a clip here of one of Biden's nominees last year to lead the FA and how he handled himself when he was being grilled. So. But we'll get to that in a minute. But, yeah, I think great.
He did. And being a fan of bingo, that I know. Well, I know Lucy is at least.
Because that's right now. She is.
She's. She's winner, winner every single time. I thought this was hilarious. I forget who actually this was, but he's playing bingo on. On all the junk. Because, I mean, if anybody sat through any of these things, which I think is also just kind of hilarious, because I. I don't ever remember watching these. Like, all of this has been celebritized, like, over the last couple, you know, terms of, like, what's actually taking place here, especially. Especially now. But I never, ever, ever remember growing up caring about any. Even knowing who was on any of the president's panels. I don't know if that's the same for others listening as well, but it's. It's just interesting, like, how they just. I mean, some of them are just, like, throwing lies, which, you know, accusations that we are. We clearly know our lies, but they just try to just continue to beat you down and beat you down and beat you down. And so the resilience for these people are. Are incredible. But let's watch this here of Tom Tillis. Tom. Yes.
Yeah.
Playing bingo here.
Yep.
Colleagues, I created a cash bingo card that I have available to any of my colleagues who would like it on the other side of the aisle. Some may view this as an unserious caricature and not appropriate for this committee. Sadly, I consider it a serious caricature of what I expect to be witnessed today. I think we'll have words like enemies list and deep state. I've already xed out four boxes in the opening statements alone. The fact of the matter is some people will be here to simply substantiate a false narrative. Colleagues, I created a cash bingo card.
It's. It's. I mean, that just. Again, for this point, but he. Man, the dude had to put some work into that car that was on, like, card stock that wasn't just, you know, flimsy piece of paper that he just drew up. Like, that looked really nice, man. I appreciate that.
Yeah. So as crummy as it must feel when the. The opposing party is grilling you, it's got to feel Great. When all your homeboys from your party got your back, and they're just, like. They're teeing you up, first of all, for all your answers, which is great, just so you can sound even better than you would normally, which is phenomenal, but just to know that you have people that have your back. So. And then even I think we have a clip of Tulsi, but I saw a line of support for her the. The day of. Of her hearing. So do we have that Tulsi clip? I don't know if it's on our list here. I may jump the gun. I don't think. I don't. Oh, dang, Royce. That's on me, brother.
I was gonna say, I don't remember the Tulsi clip, but I love it, too. I mean, American flag right in the center, baby. Like, that's what. That's what America is getting back to, is. Is just foundationally what are the values that. That we want, who we want actually leading this country. And so, again, these guys have all done a great, great, great job so far as far as answering responsibly. I mean, some of those things, man, I think I would just lose my mind. And so the. The poise that most of them had in a respectable manner as well, I think has just been absolutely incredible. But my favorite's really rfk, what took place. I got to spend a, you know, a decent amount of time t. Tuning into that, and I just. Regardless of what you think about rfk, you know, being first off against Trump and then coming, you know, alongside him, really, and. And he even references Trump as being his boss now, I think there's incredible humility that. That takes. That takes to be able to do that. But he's doing it because of his. His mission, right? And that is to make America healthy again, because we are the sickest. We are the fattest country in the nation. It's disgusting. And I don't think any of it. I mean, it is. It really is, because it. First off, it takes personal responsibility. Like, if you don't pay attention to what you're putting into your body, whether actually consuming it or injecting into you, whatever that is, like, that's on you.
You.
You don't. You don't get to just be like, well, they told me so. Right? I mean, I just. RFK stands for. And, you know, all of the conspiracy theorist names he's been called, he's like, I don't think we have that clip. But one of them is, like, have any of them proven to not be true. And he's like, not yet.
Not yet.
Like, everything I've said is, has been true. And, you know, maybe there is something out there. I don't know everything that he's claimed, but I just think it's amazing again, to have these, these guys in leadership, but specifically RFK going against pharmaceutical industries. And I love this, what he says here to Bernie Sanders.
I'm going to make America healthier than other countries in the world right now. You guarantee. Do what every other major country does. It's a simple question. And by the way, Bernie, the, you know, the problem of corruption is not just in the federal agencies. It's in Congress too. Almost all the members of this panel are accepting, including yourself, are accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry. Oh, protecting their interest. Oh, I thought that that would come. No. I ran for president like you. I got millions and millions of contributions. They did not come from the executives. Not one nickel of PAC money from the pharmaceutical. They came from workers. 2020. In 2020, you were the single largest. Because I had pharmacy for money from workers all over this country. Workers, not a nickel from corporate taxes with the single largest export, pharmaceutical dollars. Oh, from workers in 1.5 million. Yeah. Out of 200 million. All right, but you have not answered last question.
It's so good. It's so good because, I mean, that's the truth. The thing is, we know all of this is happening, but when it gets called out, and I actually just, just did a Google search of top recipients from pharmaceutical industries, I'll just name. I mean, the first four are hilarious. Kamala Harris, 11 million. This is from 1999, 1990 to 2024. So it's been over the last 34 years. But Kamala, 11 million. Joe Biden, 9 million. Barack 6 million. Hillary Clinton, 4.6 million. First Republican. Mitt Romney, 3.3 million. And then it goes on and on and on. But millions of dollars from pharmaceutical companies, whether they're contributions to their running or not, it's like, you know that those don't come with, hey, wink, wink. You know what, you know what this means, right? I mean, it's such a. I'll just say cream again, right? Cash rules everything. Not around me. Right. Jesus Christ. Rules everything around me, baby. At one point in my life that was the case, though, and in money ultimately is, is a huge factor in how this world works, how this, how, how it operates. And, and that's always going to be the case. I, I really believe just because that's the world that we live in. And, and that is a very powerful tool that people use. And, and no question that's happening. I read this too this past week. Pfizer Corp. Been around since 1849. They have not one time produced a cure for any sort of disease. We're talking 170 years. The reality is cures don't come from a magic pill. They don't come from something that you're just gonna magically inject into you. This is about lifestyle. This is about if any of you think that there's just a magic pill that's gonna cure you forever for something that's not the, you gotta, you gotta take your own responsibility and put into your body God given vegetables and fruits and it even goes to the next level of how those are even growing and how they're manufactured, how these things are produced. Because the reality is it does. It takes more money to produce healthy products. Right. Not injected with steroids or chemicals. And I could go on and on about this, but it's just, it's infuriating to me that people just don't take their own responsibility and want to pass the buck onto somebody else or make that magic pill to make everything better and better. And I think RFK is, is, that's really truly what he's fighting for, to make America healthy again. Other countries have ingredients in their products that are completely different than America. Right. The ones on our labels. Go look at your label of anything ketchup. Right? Go look at your label. Coca Cola has been in the news a lot. It's like, what, the ingredients in ours, why are they different than what's in, in Europe? Why, why would that be the case? Is it because they're, there's another reason behind it? Or, you know, is it because they're purposely trying to make us sick or they're trying to make a profit? Either way, it ain't what's best for us, the consumer. Right. And again, I think that's just what RFK stands for. So I'll get off my soapbox with this, bro.
No, no, I, I want to chime in here because I just told you a couple days ago that my blood pressure has been as like, as normal as it should be in the last literally like 15 years.
Right, right.
It always ran a bit high, but never enough. Like, some doctors, they want to put me on blood pressure medication, but other doctors are saying, no, you don't need it. So I never was on the, the blood pressure medication, but I, I don't think it was really the New Year necessarily, it was just. Well also I've been dealing with this little arrhythmia thing with my heart which got me a little, a little wor. I, I just literally looked up like what are the best thing, natural things I could eat for high blood pressure and I looked it up for high blood pressure in the past but now the, the best foods, natural foods for your heart in general, period. And I, I started, I started concocting this tea with all this stuff, the turmeric, the ginger, the cinnamon, the, the, the black pepper and it God given ingredients.
I love it.
Right, right. And I, you know, my protein shakes that I make every day, I made sure I'm adding all like the flaxseed chia seed, all this stuff that's good for you on. And literally the last couple weeks my blood pressure has been as normal. So it's not low blood pressure but for me it's low, lower than normal. But it's all just natural stuff like it's, it, it's remarkable that we don't choose that route first. And before you mentioned like how we are the, the, the most obese country on planet Earth and it's a shame especially for Christians where art, whether it be obesity, whatever it is your lack of care for your body that's leading to obesity or, or disease or whatever it may be. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. So if the Holy Spirit, God himself chooses to reside within us when we place our faith in him, it's like, man, how disrespectful is that? Like what lack of reverence for our God that we, that we can't take care the temple that he, he so privileged us to reside in. Right. So the, the, the spiritual aspect of that in the Christian faith, like there shouldn't be. And I, I know different circumstances, there's excuses across the board, but we shouldn't be fat and sluggish and obese and because we just make poor, poor choices when it comes to health, that shouldn't be the case, especially for a Christian like there, there's a spiritual aspect involved. But talking about cancer, right. Every year I love on espn, the, the Jimmy V Foundation, the SB Awards, all that. If you remember Jim Valvano, head coach of the North Carolina State. Yeah, well you're talking about Dicky V.
Oh, Dicky V, Baby, about Dicky V. Yeah.
Dick Vital. No, Jim Valvano died of cancer years ago, but literally I think it weeks if not days before he died of cancer. He stood up on the stage and Gave one of the most remarkable speeches ever that every year I watch it, every year I cry.
Right.
And that actually will segue well into the conversation we're about to have just about the, how precious life is and how life is so fragile and it's fleeting and it's but a vapor. But every year I, I would watch that and like millions upon millions of dollars, just like from this ESPN event is donated to do like cancer research. And it's like, I like, what are they actually doing with this money? And shortly after that plane crash, one of the first like conspiracy theories that I actually saw online was it was just somebody throwing, throwing something out there. Somebody must have created cancer or created the cure for cancer was on that plane. Right?
Sure.
So, yeah, I, I don't think because pharmaceutical industry, health care, there's so much money and they have so much power because of the money that they create, the wealth that they create. I don't think we're going to see pills and injections and treatments that actually cure most of the stuff that, that we're dealing with. Plus, by the way, and I know this has probably been brought up with, with RFK before, you know, number one killer or number one disease is cardiovascular disease, at least to death. Number two killer is cancer. Number three is doctor error. So think about that too. It's like, even if you think that, that they have the solution, the doctor has the solution for you. Well, Dr. Error is the number three cause of death in this country. That's, that's just mind blowing right there. Yeah. Healthcare is thriving, is booming. And yeah, so we'll get off that because I do want to get into this, I do want to get into this plane crash. You had something else on that.
Yeah, no, I could, I could go for days on this topic, man, because it is, yeah, it is the amount of vaccines that are, that are being pushed on, on newborns. If you even just look in the last 70 years, like how chronic disease and cardiovascular disease, ADD, autism, all these things, how it's literally skyrocketed since the 1960s. And you can't tell me there's not evidence in that. And again, that's why I cannot wait for RFK to be actually officially appointed and, and for him to get to work here, because he is, he's gonna, he's gonna do it from the, from the. I think it takes an uprooting of the system as a whole. But, but you know that, that's going to make a lot of upset billionaires that are out there. And so we'll see. Be praying for his, his life as well. So speaking of life. Yes. We've, you guys have all heard this in the news. Plane crash in Washington D.C. with a helicopter. Very tragic. This happened Wednesday night around 8, 8:50, 8, 9, 9pm or so, something like that, Eastern time. And there's a lot of conspiracies as Christian had mentioned of like, what in the world actually happened? Was this, is this just pilot error? Was, was there something else going behind this? And I think, I mean, I just want to preface this with, you know, we have no clue. Right. The black boxes have been, have been found and those are going to be, you know, investigated and then eventually at some point we'll actually know what truly took place here. So just pre. This conversation with that, like, we don't really know. We, our heart goes out to all the victims, the, the families as this is just an awful, awful time for them. But certainly this is more than likely something that could have been prevented. But the reality is this world is, is a hard place and it will come at you and continue to come at you with death and with destruction and, and fear and anxiety and, and because at the end of the day that's what the enemy wants to do. And our hope though is to be in Jesus and to hold fast to that. But before we even get into like, what does the Bible even say about any of this? Or how can we as Christians process this and even minister to those that go through trauma and tragedy? I think we have the clip of. If you guys haven't seen yet, this is a new clip that has been released on a different viewpoint of what actually took place here when this collision actually took place. Oh yeah. For those that are just listening, you can see the helicopter just literally the. Yeah. I mean, it's just, it's all of a sudden, bam. And there. It doesn't seem like there was any sort of attempt to veer out of the way as a plane, a plane's on its straight path. This is a descending plane.
The.
Landing gear is already down. It's just, and it's not like a plane can just quickly maneuver. A helicopter can certainly maneuver. And we don't. Again, we don't really know what actually took place here, but 67 people have lost their lives and it's just, it's an awful situation. I mean this is a. I fly every single week. And you know, for those that do fly, I know you know, Graham has a deathly fear of flying. It's. And it doesn't even compare with the. If we're talking like, risk versus driving a car or anything like that, because statistically, this doesn't happen all that often, but this does happen, which is, you know, again, why did. Why do certain things like this happen? I mean, it's a terrible situation. I know, Christian, you might have some thoughts on this, but this. This helicopter from. From what I've read and looked into this, this. They're supposed to be flying at 200ft or less. And I know. I think Trump made some remarks of this, of there. And there's, like, you know, banks around this, the river there that they are not supposed to be flying above, which is. They clearly were. And we know, again, we don't know why that would have been the case, but that is something that, you know, it's like, why in the world would that be? Why would they be in the direct airspace of where this. This flight was actually coming into land?
Yeah, yeah, we. We can go down many rabbit holes with this because definitely, just by looking at it visually, it doesn't seem like it adds up. Looks like that helicopter was just on direct course with that plane and just chose not to turn or veer out of the way. But we want to be sensitive because there are 67 lives who perished. And quite frankly, we want to be sensitive, of course, but at the same time, I don't think it's insensitive to ask questions if something looks off.
Right.
You know, this happened with 9, 11, where probably more people today, now that we're 24 years after the fact, are like, yeah, things aren't adding up. Right. Yeah. Why did Building 7 just collapse? You know, just people are more accepting that there. It had to be some sort of an inside job, or it was at least more than these terrorists hijacking a plane and just doing it as a terror attack. But back then, when it happened, it was like, whoa, look how many people lost their lives. Like, you can't speak about it because it would. Could be deemed insensitive. You'd be treated as a pariah if you were talking about this stuff. But I don't think it's necessarily insensitive. I'm also not in the shoes of those family members of the victims. I'm sure right now, ultimately, they'll want answers, but right now, they're just grieving and they're mourning and they're heartbroken. And our prayers certainly go up for them 100%. Our. Our prayers, our. Our thoughts, our. That it's a tragedy. It is a tragedy. But I. I don't know if we'll get answers on this, right? Will we get answers? I don't know. I don't know.
Yeah, I think. I mean, I think we will eventually, considering who we have in charge at this point. But, you know, one of the questions that got popped up is this, like, a DEI thing, and we don't. Again, we don't know any of that at this point. I know Trump made some remarks in regards to that as well, but that. Let's just say it was right. I mean, clearly something that's preventable if you're hiring, though, the most qualified person for the job. I always, you know what, I fly Delta a lot, and so, and I hop on the flight, there's all these, like, awards and these stickers on the side. I don't know if you ever paid attention to that. Like, right when you board the plane. And when I started seeing that Di1, I was like, dang, dude. I want to know that my pilot is like a boss. Like, they know what the heck's actually going on. And this isn't like, oh, you got hired because you are. Have a mental, you know, or instability. Right. Because you're a certain race or color. Right. Like, I don't want that to be the case. I want to be the. The most qualified person. Like, you need to be the top of the top class. And it's. I mean, and this is for any industry. It doesn't matter if it's your pilot or a surgeon. Like, I want to find the best one. I don't care if your name Akbar or Beverly or Bill. Right. Like, it's just, do you have the skill set to actually do this? Well, and I know this was. This was a question that Trump got asked, and I think he made reference to this. Do we have a clip on this? Royce? Perfect. Yeah, I think he makes reference to this, doesn't he?
Yeah, this is.
Are you saying race or gender played a role in this tragedy?
It may have. I don't know. Incompetence might have played a role. Well, we'll let you know that. But we want the most competent people. We don't care what race they are. We want the most competent people, especially in those positions. And, you know, you're talking about extremely complex things, and if they don't have a great brain, a great power of the brain, they're not going to be very good at what they do, and bad things will happen.
Yes, that's exactly right. It's like, it's funny how Trump says things. If they don't have a great brain. They're not going to be in those positions. And I think that's just, again, what it comes down to. We need to just get away from this. And again, we're not saying that that is the case. I see in the chat, it's like, why wasn't the tower warning them? And I don't know if they did or didn't at this point, if there was warning like, hey, you need to be higher, you need to be of change course of direction. All of those, I think is just going to be more information that we find out here in hopefully this week this, this information will get released not only for the families to have an answer to this, but just for all of us to know. Hey, and just have a confidence and who is actually at the helm again, whether it is of our, of our airline or in anything that we're actually doing. So.
Yeah. Well, speaking of DEI hires, I think we have a clip of last year, one of Biden's appointees that did not get confirmed, this guy, Phil Washington. And if you watch this, it's crazy that the Democrats are in an uproar over these nominations of Trump. Right. And then you see one of Biden's nominations and this is to be the top dog at the faa. And you'll, if you're watching, you'll notice he's black, right? Probably that's why he was nominated with the DEI push by the Biden administration. But look at, and also I talked about earlier, the difference. Well, not the difference, but how you could see leadership qualities when people are in the hot seat like this. Well, well, check out this guy.
Have you ever flown a plane?
Thank you for the question, Senator. No, I have never flown a plane.
So you weren't a military pilot or a commercial airline pilot?
No, Senator.
Have you ever worked for an airline?
No, Senator.
Have you ever worked as an air traffic controller?
No, Senator.
Have you ever worked for a company that manufactures airplanes?
No, Senator.
You ever worked for a company that fixes airplanes?
No, Senator.
FAA administrator is a specialized position. I'm not qualified to be FAA administrator. I have no idea how to fly a plane. No one in their right mind would put me in charge of aviation safety because I don't have that experience. I suspect most of the members of this committee are in a similar position. The American people, when they think about aviation safety, when they think about, I played in this committee, a Southwest Airlines and FedEx plane almost colliding at Austin's airport. They want an FAA administrator who knows why those planes crash and knows how to fix it to keep them safe. And with all respect, Mr. Washington, it gives no comfort to the flying public that their pilot might be a transgendered witch, but doesn't actually know how to prevent the plane from crashing into the ground and killing them. I believe your record is woefully lacking, and in fact, you have zero aviation safety experience.
Yeah, it's good.
Yeah.
I mean, that. I think that goes with anything. Again, not just airlines, but, like, dude, does the person have fruit in their life that proves that they can do what. What they're supposed to do, whatever the job is. This is why when I. If I was to hire a fitness trainer, I ain't hiring somebody that's not fit. Right. If I want to find a financial advisor, I don't hire somebody that. Unless they can prove to me what they've done with their money and show it, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna entrust that to that individual. When I went Lasik eye surgery shopping, this was like, 15 years ago, I. I actually seeked out. A lot of people shop around for the cheapest one. It's like, this is my freaking eyes, baby. I. I se the most expensive person out there because I was like, that guy knows the value that he's worth. And. And I think it's just an understanding of, like, what. Who are we going to put in these positions? Who are we going to entrust to these positions? And that's just. Again, I know that clip was from. From a while ago, and. But it is. We're heading in the right track, if. If I can say that correctly, with getting rid of all this DEI stuff and actually hiring the correct people for the actual job.
Yep. Amen to that. Amen. Yes. All right, well, let's get into, you know, we. We look at things through a biblical lens, so obviously, anytime there's a tragedy. We spoke a couple weeks ago about the wildfires in California, the hurricanes in North Carolina a couple months before that, but this is one where it's like, dang, can you imagine being on that plane where those people are probably thinking what they're going to be doing? Who's picking me up from the airport? I'm going to see family. I'm going to this competition. You know, the. The figure skating team was on there. Young, young people were on this plane. And I. I hope that they all died instantly upon that impact. Right. I. I hope that's the case and nobody had to suffer before they ultimately died. But it begs the question, like, why why does stuff like this happen? And I think it's very interesting. In Luke chapter 13, Jesus is, is speaking here and he's making reference to a tower in Siloam that, that crumbled, it collapsed and it killed 18 people. And prior to that, he talked about the, the Galileans who were slaughtered by Pontius Pilate, right, just for coming to, to Jerusalem. They, they were just taken and slaughtered. And what he said about those, he said, do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no. But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Were those 18 who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them, do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? Them? I tell you, no. But unless you repent, you too will perish. So he's literally saying these people were, were innocent victims, right? It's, you know, were they more guilty than you? Were they living lives that, that they, they should be judged on that spot? That not necessarily true, but what Jesus is saying is that if you don't repent and turn to me, whether it's today, tomorrow, the next day, 20 years from now, you're going to perish. And not just perish from this earth, you're perish in all of eternity in the lake of fire. And that's a scary thing. And whenever there's tragedies, people start to question their own mortality, right? And that, that's somewhat of a, a silver lining when there's a tragedy because people do start to question and they do start to say, okay, man, what if I was on that plane? What would happen? Where would I go when I die? And Jesus made, make, makes it clear like they didn't die because they were bad people. You know, because if that was like a plane of some of these sexual assault criminals that have, that are being deported, people probably wouldn't, you know, be this upset about it, right? If it was people who are bad people and maybe they got, they got what they had coming to them, right? Well, Jesus is saying, listen, whether you're, you're more guilty or less guilty than the next person, it's like things happen on this earth, but while you're still on this earth, the message is clear. Repent, turn to me, or else you're going to perish everlasting. So it, it's, I, I think that's a, it's interesting that he, he brings up a situation of the tower collapsing, which is just A tragedy. Can you imagine at the time, time, you know, this tower that they built just collapses and falls on 18 people. You know, this is 67 people who died on, in helicopter. So it's just something that nobody saw coming. But he doesn't like brush over it, but he kind of does because we can't do anything about those lost lives. And again, not to sound insensitive to it, but once you're gone, you're gone. What that should do is create an urgency within you, you, while you're still living, to make sure that you live everlasting.
Right? Yeah, yeah, that's good. I think. And that comes back to just taking on that eternal mindset that, you know, if you're, if you're lost, if you're not a born again believer in Jesus Christ, it's so easy to cast blame into, you know, harbor that anger and angst. And even if you are, it's, it's easy to have, be angry at the situation and like God, why, why does this have to happen to me? Right? Or if it is more personal, like, but to, to those people. And when you take on that eternal mindset, that's, that's when it's like, okay, now I can process this easier and better because as you mentioned, starting out like this is. This life here truly is a vapor, right? And when we say that, it's like most of us have this, this limited 70 or 80 year, maybe 90 year mindset of this is what I'm gonna do. These are my goals, this is what I'm going to accomplish. And, and then it's over. And then I get to spend eternity at some place, right? And it's like, man, when we, when we understand that the, it's not. Eternity doesn't happen the moment we, we die on this earth. Eternity happens the moment you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, confess with your mouth, receive him as your Savior. You know, like sign seal delivered baby, you gotta, you gotta ticket. And now our perspective, the process from there starts to change and transform us to do the good works here on this earth, right? And that is to share the gospel, right? But to like, love well, to, to actually walk this thing out, to be his ambassador here on this earth today. And now knowing that the crap that comes against me and the hate and the lies and, and the devastation isn't a forever. It is, this is, it's not happening to me, but it's happening for me through this process here of ultimately God's call is his desires that all would, would be saved. Right. Not everybody is going to be saved. Right. It comes down to the person that surrenders their life, that repents, meaning to change your way of thinking, to literally turn around. And now our hope is in Christ and Christ alone. And that's the hope that we have here as believers. And again, that eternal mindset is what helps us process this type of thing, these tragic situations in our lives, and then how to actually minister to others as well. So I'll throw it back to you, man. But it, it's good, really good.
Yeah. For those who were believers in that plane crash, when they died, they were immediately in the presence of the Lord, right. And in heaven, right. That there's no. And you know, obviously the book of Revelation walks you through the new heaven and new earth, but ultimately there's going to be be no more weeping, no more crying. Right. There's going to be no sorrow. So whatever suffering that you endure here on this earth. Well, Paul even says, he says, what? The suffering I endure, it, it pales in comparison to the glory I'll be in and receive in heaven. That. So there's nothing that could possibly happen that will even remember when we're, when we're in heaven. But for, for those who are on the plane who weren't, right. How many of those who have actually heard the gospel had an opportunity and maybe they're like, you know, it's not that important right now, or life is okay, I'm comfortable, I'm kind of coasting through life. I don't see a need for a savior, which is a big problem in this country. We are very comfortable in this nation. We are rich in this nation. Even those who are like the poorest people in this nation are still richer than, than most other countries out there, right? So we, we have many comforts, luxuries, and because of that, we just kind of coast. And when you, when you coast in in comfortability, you don't really recognize a need for a savior, right? So that's an issue here. But you know, James says it in James 4:14, whereas you do, you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanish. So whether you, you, you're a victim of abortion and you die in the womb, or you live to be 100 years old, doesn't matter compared to eternity, it's a vapor. It goes away. It's, it's so insignificant on the timeline of eternity. But we have this life, right? We're here right now and God is calling us to, to make.
Make.
Not make the best, but live out your purpose. I created you for a reason. A reason specifically for you and nobody else. They. I have a specific purpose for them and that one and that one and that one. Across every person on this earth. Some people, they. They dedicate their lives to knowing what that purpose is and walking it out. That should be. But that's the, that's the agenda. That's the goal that God has for, for every last one of us. A little kid be a little baby being born in Gaza right now to terrorist Hamas parents. God has a plan for that little baby. That's why we as Christians need to practice righteousness and stand up for truth and, and do the work of an evangelist to spread the gospel, right? You could look at them and just be like, they're, they're horrible, evil people. They just need to be wiped off the face of the earth. The earth. And you know, maybe that's the case if there, if there's. God knows His. His thoughts are way above our thoughts, right? He knows if they're ultimately going to submit. But ultimately God has a perfect plan for us. And Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 6, 2, for he says, so God says, in an acceptable time, I have heard you and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation. And that's a. It doesn't matter if you read that 2,000 years ago or if you're reading it today, when you hear that verse that is meant for you on that day, if you have not received everlasting life yet today, now is the acceptable time. Today is the day of salvation, right? And if you, if you don't commit your life to the Lord today and you read it again tomorrow, tomorrow's the day. Even if you don't read it now, you have read it, right? You. It. As long as you have breath in your body, it's not too late. It's not too late to, to repent. And the whole thing with Jesus saying repent or else you'll. You'll perish like all those who were crushed in the tower collapse in Salome. Well, repentance is a changing of mind, right? That results in a changing of actions and, and that, that turn that about face. So repentance means you turn from whatever it is of in the world, right? Well, let me put it this way. If you, you can't turn to Jesus without turning from something else, right? You.
So the re.
The repentance piece is turning towards Jesus, keeping your eyes fixed on him, surrendering it all to him. And if you turn 100 to Jesus, your back is going to be faced to everything else. And then, of course, once you're saved, we're. We. We walk at our salvation with fear and trebling. We get discipled. There's a sanctification process, right, but that. About face, that's what Jesus is saying. Listen, turn to me and guess what? You're. If you suffer on this earth, if you die in a car accident, an airplane crash, whatever it is, or if you live the most peaceful life and you know the. There's nothing harms you, nothing plagues you, and you die in your sleep when you're 100 years old, all that is a vapor. It's a vapor. And none of it compares to anything of the glory that we're going to see in heaven. So, you know, I could go on my rants, man. So I want to hear you.
Yeah, I mean, with what you just mentioned there, the first thing that popped in my mind is in Ephesians 5, we're told to redeem the time, right? See that you walk circum, circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time because the days are evil. And I think when we understand that, it's because especially a lot of young, younger people maybe take this, this concept of, well, I'm going to do what I want now, and then when that, when I get older and I get settled down, have a family, then I'll start going to church. As if that's even right. Like living for the Lord. That's just a. You become a religious person at that point versus actually truly repenting and redeeming that time. Or I even think on the other side of it, it's like people that think, well, I've done way too many terrible things and I've lived this life 40 years, 50 years. However old you are, it literally does not matter at all. But to redeem the time is to. To buy it back, right? To like God has the ability to, to redeem that time if you choose to. To allow him to actually do that. Right? Maybe it's all the wrong that you've. You've done. And let me be clear, that's head trash right there. There may be, there may be truth to that, but it's head trash that, that you think you've gone too far, or there's no way that forgiveness is even available to you. That's complete head trash. But also just in this understanding of, to redeem the time, it's to buy it back, to make that best use of it, to start to walk wisely and to pursue him wholeheartedly because we do not know when that time will come. Right? And, and it's, that's a, the reality of the situation. Some of us, there are people today that, that kissed their spouse goodbye and will never see them again.
Right?
That's happening literally as we speak right now. Every single day. This is happening. And, and it's, it's God's heart, his desire to have relationship with you and, but also to use you on this earth. Like, that's what, what excites me so much about this is, is like, how do I, how do I, and how do I walk this thing out? Because I could sit back, as a lot of Christians do, and think, I'm good. I've got an eternal mindset and you know, I'm good. Right? But if, if love was truly in their heart, true love, not what the world calls love, but the, the, the, the love that can only come from Jesus, that, that provides mercy and, and grace and, and all of the, the attributes of who he is, then it's like, man, man, there's so much work to be done here on this earth. I just want to be a part of it. Like, let me be a part of, of. And that could be literally just talking to your neighbor. It could be, it could be somebody that, that is speaking on stages, like a Billy Graham. Right? But that's not that a Billy Graham individual is not any more successful, as the world would call it than the guy that's leading his small group at home, home in truly discipling people, because that's what we are called to do is to make disciples, not to make fans, right? Not to make even converts. This is about discipleship here as believers. And when we take that perspective on again coming from that eternal perspective of God, whatever your will is, I just want to walk in it. I want to wholeheartedly be devoted to you first and foremost and, and start to. You mentioned that the repenting of just like taking on this new way of thinking. It's like now that's what true success actually is. Success in, in my, the eyes of my Creator. Not in what anybody thinks is success here on this earth. And when you're playing for an audience of one versus the audience of, of the masses, that's when life really changes. And that fulfillment can, will truly come from within because it was placed there by your Creator. Your heavenly. And that's what I think most people are longing for is like they. They want to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Well, let me tell you, the. The only thing bigger than yourself is God himself, and he wants to dwell inside of you wholeheartedly. And it just is a matter of actually spending time with him and confessing and repenting. Of course. Right.
But.
But the point of repentance is to start to do his works. And yeah, that's just my heart in all of this, of the tragedy that the, the only you mentioned silver lining. The only silver lining is in it is like, yes, souls were lost. Was everybody on that plane saved? I would doubt it. Right. But amazing if they are, because, dude, they're in paradise right now. And, and, but if they aren't, they are eternally separated from their Creator. And that is. Is. I mean, that's. I always say it's like doom and gloom, but it's like, that's the reality of it. It's like that there is. There is a chasm now that. That will. For that will never be filled within that individual soul for eternity. And that is a long time, my friends. That is a very, very long time. And that's why we take this so seriously of just understanding. Like, we're so caught up in the moment. And when we step back and say, okay, what's the big picture? And this is why it's very hard for us at times. It's like we have stress, we got to make the bills, we got to make this happen and that happen. But just taking a breath, stepping back and going, okay, from an eternal perspective, God, what are you speaking to me here? How can I take on a new way of thinking about this? Because I know you are Jehovah Jireh, my provider, right. If we're dealing with. With health issues, I know you are Jehovah Rapha, my healer. Right? And when we start to call on. On him versus our energy and efforts, he will give us the. The wisdom and the strategy to start to take action on those things. It's not just about prayer, believe me, but it should start with prayer and, and then we can start to do his works, not ours.
Yeah. Amen, brother. Amen. Real quick. Quick Murdoch, 1986. That's where I got that sign behind me. What was the name of it? Was it Gospel Canvas?
Yeah, I don't even know if they're still around anymore.
Yeah, I don't know if they are either, but I think Canvas. Yeah, Try looking it up, brother. Yeah, that I got a few like this. But you mentioned that verse in Ephesians 5. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. So you're foolish to not consider how short your life is. Right? You're fool to not consider how short your life is. And Psalm 90:12 says, so teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. So to number our days is to really just consider the, the shortness of life, to, to consider how certain death is. Right? And here the, the psalmist is asking God teach us to do that. Because when we do that, it's not to spark fear in us, it's to create a sense of urgency. Right? Like time is valuable. And it'll help us get, get rid of our own, get outside of our own perception and step into God's perspective. Right? Because we, we have our own perception on things and it's based on the way we were raised. Our likes, our dislikes, our personality. We have our own perception. It's all based on our own personal biases. Well, well, that, that's why, you know, some people perceive that God is real, some people perceive that God isn't. No matter how much evidence there is, they may have a perception he's not real just because of their own personal biases. Well, if we can learn to step out of our own perception and into God's perspective, then we'll be able to, to see. Oh my gosh, you get this just like the 30,000foot view down on your life, and then you, you start to think about things, your own mortality, that, that time is short.
Word.
Okay? Death is imminent. And what's going to happen after I die? Because fact of the matter is if this whole Jesus thing turns out to be false, guess what? You, you live a fulfilling, peaceful life and then you find out it was, it was false. Right? But if you, which I'm not saying I'm 1000% positive that it's not just because of just my own personal encounters with the Lord and the miracles I've seen with my own eyes that are backed up by Scripture, but if you walk through this earth and just saying he's not real and that person's wrong, well, that, that's, that's a big mistake, Right? There's no, there's no downside to making the mistake of committing to Jesus and then finding out perhaps, you know, I, I was duped. And again, I'm not saying that will ever Happen. I'm a thousand percent convinced that he is real. Heaven's real. The Bible, scripture 100 real, real. But that person that dies and they're like, oh man, like it's too late. When you take your last breath here on earth, that's it. You have a choice up until then, and after that, no more. So it to kind of step out of our own perception into God's perspective. One of the things that we could do. And even with this, when there's questions, you know, why would something like this happen? Why do bad things happen to good people? Well, remember Isaiah 55, 8 and 9, where God says, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. And you know, if you're not really a believer of God, you're like, whatever, perhaps. But when you understand this is the God of the universe, the God who created everything that we see around us, to say, listen your thoughts, thoughts, your finite mind can't comprehend my thoughts. So there's going to be things on this earth that we just simply don't get, we don't understand. We may have questions there, there may be some, some mystery to things. I mean, the, and even this, why would something happen if we don't understand why this would happen and think it's an injustice for, for innocent people to lose their lives like this? Right? Well, whatever our thoughts are, they're finite. We, we don't understand the bigger picture of things. And that's a tough pill for people to swallow. A tough thing for people to hear, a tough thing for them to accept. But we have to just acknowledge that our own perception is limited. No matter how right you think you are, your own perception is limited. That's why we have to get out of our own perception and into God's perspective. Because we, we, we serve an infinite limitless God. And then what we have to do is align our thinking with the word of God. Romans 12:2. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God. So we, we shift into God's perspective by renewing our minds, right? Not be conformed to the, the, the patterns of this world. And that's what the enemy wants. That's what the world wants. And quite frankly, just fitting in, into, in the world, that's that comfort that some people seek, right? We're Doing our Wednesday morning Bible study. You know, our weekly shout out and plug for that Wednesday mornings, 7:00am Central Time. We're, we're in the book of Revelation. Last Wednesday we just did four verses in chapter two of Revelation about the church of Smyrna, right? And they, they lacked comfort. They're being persecuted. Tribulation, they're being thrown in jail. And Jesus pretty much said it. There's a timeline to this, but it's not ending soon. So you had a whole generation of people that, that Jesus is saying to them, listen, you're going to be going through it now. That's a blessing. Because if I really want to comfort, I could just still be a part of the world, right? I. I could find the things of the world that bring me comfort. The, the drugs, the booze, the, the women, the what, the money, whatever, whatever it may be to bring me comfort and security. But one thing that the world can't offer is peace.
Yeah.
So would you rather have comfort, which would be fleeting, the comforts of the world, or would you want peace? And if you've gotten a taste of the peace of God, and I'm talking about like that. Shalom. Peace. Shalom in Hebrew, the word used in the Old Testament, right? And it's making me think of the verse in Isaiah where, where it says, God will keep you in perfect peace if you keep your mind stayed on him. A perfect peace. The peace I received the day I said yes to the Lord. I didn't even know there's a piece like that that existed. Like the clo. The closest thing to peace to me would be like getting a nice massage. Massage, right. Like I, I like. My bills are paid, I got my drugs, I'm getting a nice massage. Like that was peace. Maybe going on vacation, watching the sunset, right? It's like that is peace. Oh my gosh, that's nothing compared to the peace of God. And scripture says it surpasses all understanding. It's a piece that doesn't make sense because you can't possibly think it exists until you actually experience it. It. When you surrender to God. And when, when that scripture says perfect peace, I will keep you in perfect peace. Translators didn't even know how to translate it because it's, it's actually, it's shalom. Shalom. I will keep you in shalom. Shalom as long as you keep your mind stayed on me. And so, so translators just made it a perfect piece. But man, one dose of shalom is good for me. Give me a double dose of shalom.
Shalom.
Shoot.
A double dose. A shalom. Shalom. Give me that. And all I have to do is keep my mind stayed on Jesus. It sounds easy, but we, we got things working against us. We got the enemy pulling us from that. We got, we got jobs, bills, responsibilities, right? But when God woke me up out of my sleep this morning at 4:30 in the morning and I knew it was a go pray to go sit with him, right, I knew it and it was like nothing else mattered. I knew I had stuff to do today, but nothing else mattered. I didn't get a lot of sleep before that, but it didn't matter. God woke me up out of my sleep so I could spend time with him. And it's like, thank you God, because I spent a good hour in prayer this morning. And it's like no matter what happens the rest of the day it's like I'm good. Whatever burdens I have, whatever anxieties there may be in my life, certain things going on, it's like, no, I'm good. He keeps me in that perfect peace. It's a remarkable thing. So we align our thinking with God's thinking and we start to see things from his perspective rather than our own perception.
Yes, that's great, man. And I think again as, as you know, we, all of this is in reference to what we've seen take place here this past Wednesday and with this plane crash, helicopter crash, and hey, we don't know, we don't know when, when our, our clock is, is up here on this earth, right? But we can know where we're going to spend eternity. And that really just boils down to you taking action. And for any of you that want to explore that, talk even more about that, we just want to invite you guys. It's not really how it works. It's a continually transformation of the renewal of your mind. Right? You are to continually be transformed which is going to continue to take place as you read the Bible as you spend time in prayer, as you have community amongst believers, have conversations like this to be able to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Again, it is Jesus Christ alone that we can receive and experience salvation, but we are to work it out and go through this process of sanctification. Like.
It, like, give us a thumbs up here, there, share it with others again because we're going to talk about, hey, what's going on in the world, but we do it for the kingdom perspective here and how does this, how does this work? How do we navigate these things that are happening in the world here based upon the word of God? It's. Yeah, that all being said, Christian, I'm gonna, I'm gonna get some rest this weekend, bro. How about you get some rest?
I just, I just want to leave it with this man. I, I spent so much time with the Lord this morning. I, I'm probably going to fast and just pray this weekend, quite frankly. But not to boast about my fasting, but if you don't fast, check out past podcast of ours. We talk about that. But Jesus says in Matthew 24:44, Be ready for the Son of man is coming at an hour that you least expect, right? And yes, he's talking about his return. But death for those people on that plane crash came at the hour that they least expected. There's probably not one person as they're about to, to land and hit that Runway, was thinking, now's my time, right? So his exhortation is be ready, be ready. That doesn't mean become a doomsday prepper for, for what could come in this world. It's be ready by, by opening your heart, receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, professing your faith in him. Turning towards him, Turning your back to the world and everything else that your life has been about apart from Jesus Christ, turn to him, because that day is coming soon. It's when we least expect it. And I. I just. Again, we pray for the family members of all those victims. I pray that, yeah, 67 lives gone. We. We hope that all 67 were. Were believers of Jesus Christ. But if not, there's nothing we could do about it for their lives. But there's something we could do for ours. So repent.
Yes.
Turn to Jesus and experience all the goodness of that peace that passes all understanding.
Yes. Yes. That all being said, we will see you guys next week here on the King's Council Live. You guys have an incredible weekend.
Peace.
