Rylee Meek, Christian, and Royce discuss Trump's inauguration, pardons, and declassified assassination files. They weave in faith-based perspectives and biblical interpretation while reacting to current events in real time.
All right, Happy Friday, everybody. Welcome back to the King's Council live. You got myself and you got Christian and man, we have what a week at. It's been, it's just been wild, hard. It's been hard to keep up with everything that's been going on. And we got a great show today because we are going to be diving into. Well, first off, we're have Royce coming on here, which is going to be great. He gets a recap some of what took place during the inauguration out there in D.C. and everything Trump's been doing, I mean, he's gotten Christian, he's gotten more done in the last four days than he has than Biden did in four years, man. We got, we got the, the class declassification on the jfk, MLK and RFK files. And you know, it kind of makes you wonder, like, are we going to actually discover the truth? And that being said, what is truth? We got all that and so much more. So stick with us today, guys. Let us know where you're from in the chat. We want to, we want to get to know you guys more and more each and every week as we hop on and we talk about current events, but we do from a kingdom perspective, what does the Bible actually say on all the things that are going on in the world? But Christian, first off, brother, how you been, man?
Good, man. Busy week. As you know, Riley, if he sounds a little hoarse, if he looks like he's got the bags under his eyes, I, I know you went to bed at 6am and woke up at 9 so late travel last night.
Yes.
A baby who, who's up often throughout the night. So yeah, man, I feel for you, but you'll get through it. I remember those days with Ezzy. Yeah. And everybody who has kids goes through this. But you know, my four older kids, I didn't have them when they were babies, so I just had the one instance with Ezzy. But all I kept hearing from people is like, it'll get better, it'll get better. And I'm like, I haven't slept in four days. What do you mean I'll get better? Because I had a baby who, who didn't particularly like sleep very much. He, he, he was a, a very restless, sleepless baby. And I mean, sleep deprivation. Right? It's like the, one of the oldest forms of torture. So sleep is important, but you're a trooper. You're here today. We have a lot to discuss. It's been a big week for this nation and yeah, man, I'm Pumped to get into this episode.
Yeah. So much to unpack here. We're going to try to do this in. In under an hour with you guys, and it has been an absolutely in whirlwind this week. I'm like, what. What day is this? What's. What's actually been going on. As Christian mentioned, we been traveling a fair amount. But what I. What I think I want to just first kick off is. Is to bring Royce on and give us a little recap, because he was boots on the ground there in D.C. sunday in Monday. Got to experience a lot of things, and he's. I mean, I haven't even got to recap with him. Yeah. I don't know if you have much, Christian, but Royce, come on, brother. If you're. If you will give us a little, uh, Cat man, Dude, why don't you.
Give yourself the round of applause?
Oh, let me do it.
Hold up.
I got it.
Yeah, man.
Oh, thank you. Oh, you're so nice. Thank you.
You can play your theme music as well. I mean, it's you, man. You got to make an entrance.
I could do that. Everybody in the chat, throw up some clapping hands.
Yeah, Roy is here. Yeah, man. Your fan club kept emailing us DMing us. They're like, we need more Royce. So. So the people asked for it. The people are getting it here.
People. People like the beard. I guess I'm getting a lot of like, God, it's back. I don't think people like me clean shaven, but.
Well, you look like you're. You're 12 when. When you have no beard.
Yeah. And I know this was said on the Dear America show, but, you know, my wife told me. She's the one who asked me. She'll deny it, but she asked me to shave, technically. And when I shaved and started growing it back, she's like, you know what? She's like, I do like you better with the beard because when you're clean shaven, it feels like we're dating, but when you have the beard, it feels like you're my husband. And I was like, all right, that's pretty good. Is back. And it's. It's got some filling in to do, but it's a young boy beard still. I'm only 22.
It's looking good, man. It's better. It's better than I can grow at the ripe age of 39. So I respect it.
DC was a blast. I was honored that I got to go in general. And we had these. Actually, I can show you guys these I got the receipts. These were the inaugurational tickets. We were supposed to be in that blue section right up front at the inauguration, and then last second, they moved it inside. And so we just camped out at our Airbnb and watched the inauguration from there. But still such a cool place to be during that time, because, you know, like, 300,000 Trump supporters flew in to D.C. for this event and were kind of left stranded. But to be able to walk around the city and all you see is Trump hats and MAGA sweaters and people with Trump trucks and vehicles. And we saw some parades, people, you know, pulling stuff and playing music that said Trump won. So it was super inspiring, like, to see the city of D.C. which is not normally that way, so, like, you know, full of joy for this new administration coming in. So that was nice to see. And I'm not in D.C. a lot, you know, but I do like D.C. most of the time when I go there, it's full of homeless people and drug addicts. But this time, it was too cold for them. They were all somewhere else. So it was pretty and clean. And I was telling my wife, as we were walking down the street, I said, you know what? There's. There's such, like, a. A powerful feeling walking through the city that runs the world. You know, there's a building on Pennsylvania Avenue, and that city, that. That building. Someone in that building runs the whole world. Because, yes, America, you know, is reliant on our government, which I don't think we should be as much. Right? But the US Government runs the world, and that's the. Just the truth. And so that's why it's such national news more than anybody else. When they get a new president or prime minister or whatever it is. When America's administration changes and the control of America changes, the world is watching, and we got to be in that city during that time. And it was, might I say, absolutely freezing. I'm from Florida. I live in Tampa. It's cold today. It's 50 degrees out. And I went to the gym this morning, like. Like a. I mean, a block of ice. I was frozen solid this morning in tampa, but in D.C. it was, like, 10 degrees. And we're walking around, and I'll tell a quick story just of, like, I guess how it was in D.C. right? It makes sense. But we. My wife one afternoon decided, let's go look at the. The Lincoln Monument and the Washington Memorial. And I'm like, all right. So we Ubered over there, and we spent a couple hours. The lake was frozen we walked. Walked across it, and we had. We had to attend a ball that night, which was cool. It was the. We went to the Commander in Chief ball, the military one, and we're trying to get an Uber back home, and there was this big dead zone for Uber, and so we had to walk, like, a mile just to get into an area where an Uber could pick us up. And even then, like, the Ubers couldn't get to us because they blocked all these streets outside of that dead zone. And so we literally were outside walking around for over an hour. We got canceled by 10 Ubers.
We're.
It's starting to get dark out. It's chilly. A little bit of snow. We're freezing. Okay. My toes were about to fall off. And if we eventually had to walk, like, another mile into the city more to catch up with this Uber, who was very nice, but that was. I felt like I was gonna die for a second, that in that moment, because it was the coldest I had ever been. I had ever been. So definitely Florida.
Florida, boys, bro. 10 degrees is 30 degrees warmer than it was here in Minnesota that night.
I'm not used to being at. Because we were already outside for hours, Right. And then we had to wait another hour and then walk around, and it's getting d. Dark, and we're just not used to that kind of climate, so. It was brutal. It was brutal. And then even going to that ball that night, we had to wait in line outside for, like, 45 minutes, and that was brutal because the wind is chilly. But, yeah, we're not. We're not like you Minnesota people. We are not acclimated that way. But overall, the trip to D.C. was an absolute blast, and I'm super excited that I got to go and bring my wife and go there with Graham and somewhat witness that historical moment. At least be in the city, you know?
Right.
Yeah. Your wife was a little nervous about protesters. Right. Did you come across any?
She was. It's something she expressed to me before going like, hey, you know, because we were exposed to me outside. And of course, you know, the risk, the danger is far more, you know, there when there's 300 people in one area in front of the Capitol watching the President, you have to make those assumptions that there might be some bad people wanting to make some bad choices, but it was moved inside, and I think that saved any of that from happening. We personally didn't see any protests, didn't see any violent thing happen again. The only thing that we saw was an abundance of support for the president in this city. So that was kind of. It was nice to see compared to what happened last time, if you remember, rioting, burning down churches and buildings, blm marching in the street, like, all this stuff that didn't happen this time. Thank God, you know, everybody stayed safe. And some good stuff is. Has happened since, which I know you guys are going to get into.
Yeah, we are. We are, man. Just to further your point, there's just something about the power of proximity, Right. And just being around those, like, mindsetted people. And I say mindset it specifically that because, you know, it's not necessarily great to be around people that only think the way you think, but to challenge us on our. On our, you know, why we think the way we think. But those that are still pro America, right, that. That are still, like, actually for the good of the people themselves. And so that's great. I feel like that every time I'm at, like, a, you know, turning Point event and things like that, where it's like, these are my people. This is what I'm talking about.
So somewhat like in. In, like you're in the right spot, you know?
Yes.
You feel absolutely there a little bit because you're around the people who agree with you. That's always a good feeling.
I got to believe heaven's going to be like that, man. It's going to be great. It's going to be great.
It'll be even better than the inauguration of Donald Trump, secondary president, I'm sure.
I hope it is.
No question. No question. Go ahead, Christian.
No, you're good, man. Drive the show, man. We got a lot to get into. I know.
Yeah.
And keep running the show, but I'm glad I got to tell that quick story. So I'll see you guys.
Thank you, brother. Appreciate it, man.
Thanks, man. Yeah, one of the stories, I mean, we're here on Friday already, so one of the things that happened Tuesday was a national prayer meeting, right? And we saw that gay Episcopalian bishop come and kind of talk some junk about Trump. Basically, our people are scared because now you're president. And I love the facial expressions of Trump and Vance when she was there. And. Yeah, I don't know if you remember Conor McGregor when. At that press conference years ago when it was a bunch of the. The fighters were there and somebody started chiming in. Now he's the best fighter. And Conor McGregor goes, who the f is that guy? Right? And he's looking around like, I feel like Trump and Vance, like, both were saying that in their head, like, who the f. Is that guy who's talking as this woman who's. Who's. Yeah, but. Show this clip, Royce.
Let me make one final plea. Mr. President, millions have put their trust in you, and as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives. And the people. The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meatpacking plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals. They may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors. They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, wadara and temples. I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away and that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and. Welcome here.
That's enough. Take any more of this.
Yeah, go ahead. We feel just like Trump advance in that. They're just like, okay, come on. Brutal for them to have to sit there and listen to this. And I think I see in the chat, I mean, we are all the same accord here with. You know, this lady is. She's. She's obviously very deceived. Right? And clearly, I mean, if you look a close up at her, it's always the eyes. Right? It's always the eyes. I think Graham says that it's like, you look at him in the eyes, it's like, what in the dirt is going on there?
And.
And this isn't. Isn't anything to be surprised. I mean, we've seen this over the past four years of just so many, quote, unquote, leaders that are leading people completely to destruction, to completely to death. And. And it's unfortunate, but one day, it is. There we go. Rice. Wow, man. Get. Get behind me, Satan. Right, Right. It's. It's wild, dude. It is. It is wild. I don't know. I. I mean, they did a good job at just sitting there and listening to it, but I would have a tough time not saying. Not biblical, as our buddy Caleb Spitler would say.
Right. Yeah. Well, she mentioned how. How God is compassionate and God is merciful. Yes, it does say that in scripture, but I can't stand when people just cherry pick what they want from scripture, because God says a whole lot, especially when it comes to stuff like this, what your sexuality, gender, even pastors who are women, which could be a spark of debate for sure. But maybe one scripture that she forgets is that when Paul wrote to Timothy in second Timothy, chapter four, when he says, for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires because they have itching ears, and they will heap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables. Well, this is an example of that. Right now. How is this the leader of an entire denomination of a Protestant Christian faith religion, right. A church. This is the leader, right? And I tried to search to see how many, like, gay pastors there are in this nation. And the short answer was, like, it, it's too many to count. Right? Like, that's basically what I, what I came across. It's hard to determine. But there's so many denominations that are pro LGBQ to whatever it is, they're pro that. And our. We have a role and a responsibility as believers to stand for truth. What real truth is, even if somebody else says that they believe the Bible, they're leading a church and they say that they're standing for truth. No, the truth is what God says. Jesus is actually the truth. The word of. He is the word. The word of God is the truth. And I mean in, in Ezekiel, when God called him to be a watchman, right? Said, you're going to be my mouthpiece for the people. You go and tell them when, if they're sinning, there's going to be consequences. If they listen to you, if they take heed to that, then there'll be no blood on your hands, right? If they continue to sin, then they're going to have to deal with it themselves. Right? But you're in the clear. However, if you don't stand for truth and speak up against this, then the blood's going to be in your hands if they continue to, if, if they continue to stumble because you don't actually correct them. And we are called to rebuke, we're called to correct, help deliver them from their erring ways, their sinful ways. But we're, we're also called to do it in a way that's graceful and in a way that's still loving. Like, like seeing that. We both, like, got frustrated watching that clip, but we're still supposed to do it in a way that's loving to them, that, that's Graceful. That's respectable and in an honorable way, but it's just, like, unfathomable. Unfathomable to me that this person, like, who invited her? Like, I want to know that. Like, who called all these leaders? Who invited that one right there, right?
Yeah, man, it is. And this is just to be clear, too, if you are a part of a. A church community that has. That is pro lgbtq, you're. You're in a community of apostates. It's like, this isn't like what the. The. The Bible actually says. And, I mean, you might as well go to a freaking, you know, motivational meeting with Tony Robbins or something, because the point of. Of discipleship and the point of. Of being a follower of Jesus Christ is, I mean, part of it. We're going to hear every day. I'm like, my flesh wants to do a lot of gnarly things, right? But I have to make the choice of obedience. Right? I think we talked about this. Was it last week. Just. That's being slaves to righteousness, not slaves to the flesh. That. That so many of us just are. And. And this is where it. It can maybe, you know, start as just something minor. Right? But if once you give the enemy a foothold, this thing will just go like a wildfire. And that's what we've seen amongst the church here in America and, you know, throughout the world as well, I'm sure. But the reality is we don't get to choose what. What scripture says. If. If we're. If we're going to make this commitment like this is what the Bible says, then I have to believe it, right? I'm going to actually believe this, and I'm going to abide by this, and I'm going to commit my life to actually following these. Yes, there's grace. Yes, there is mercy. I know we mentioned this. Like, mercy is not getting what we do deserve. Grace is getting what we don't deserve. But should grace abound? By all means. But no, but we. We are to be that. That slave to actual righteousness. And so if you are a part of a congregation like that or. Or leaders of a community like that, find a new spot, there's plenty of them out there. You can find those that are committed to following Christ. And. But this is. This. That's. That's on you, right? It's. It's. If you're just blindly following a wolf in sheep's clothing, it's going to be a rough go for you, right? You may. You may get to enjoy the things that you want to do here on this earth. But eternity is a lot longer if you, if you really think about that. And that's the point that we have to just take on is this eternal mindset of, hey, what happens here, this 60, 70, 80, maybe 90 years for some of us is, is, you know, did I do what God called me to do? Right. And we don't get to choose that. Right. This is, this is. We're called to love God. We are to love people. But love as Christian you mentioned, it's like this is, it's not about just letting people do what they want to do. There is rebuke in love. There is, you know, correction. There is discipline that takes place if we do that in love.
So, yeah, gentlemen too, like it says in general.
Absolutely.
Because the, the whole goal, ultimately, with all that, the goal is restoration. It's not to condemn them, it's not to shame them. It's restoration. Because God loves that person as much as he loves you. Right. Believe it or not, even though you're a believer and that person is lost and even leading people astray, loves that person, hates the deception that's going on. And it, it's going to be us. Like God will allow people to come into your life to, for a divine reason. Right. So it's going to be us. We got to speak up for truth. We got to stand for truth. We have to be the voices of righteousness and do it in such a way to win them over. Not, not that they, they put up a wall and they run further from what you're saying and the truth, which oftentimes that's what happens when people who aren't that they don't have a real relationship with the Lord and you start talking about Jesus, they just put up that wall and run further. No, we have to figure out how we could draw them in, real them in, and welcome them with open arms into this community of faith so that, that we, we had to show that we know that's a few days old, but I mean, our man Trump is getting things done. Right. A big data poll, which in 2024 was the most accurate pollster out of all these polling agencies, says that Trump, with his 55.5% approval rating, it's a net approval of 18 points, highest net approval for an incoming president in big data pollster history. So it's great. Yeah, this is phenomenal. And like you talked about just the, the spirit of being in D.C. like Roy was talking about, the spirit of being in D.C. being in proximity and the, this spirit, like everything is a spiritual thing, right. Everything that's in the natural is rooted in the spiritual. And you feel this spirit in this nation and we see good things happening. I mean already that the FAA right now because of Trump, it's going to be merit based hires. It's not going to be because you're black, you're white, you're Indian, you're Asian, you're gay, whatever it is, it's going to be because you are actually deserving of the job. I mean all LGBQ2I, I always say that Q2, I don't know what that is. That's probably, there's probably something to it that, because that Alphabet just goes on so long, it's probably going to turn into numbers. But in federal buildings, those flags are, those pride flags are coming down. Right? Good. Praise the Lord for that. And it may just be because Donald Trump hates that personally. It may have nothing to do with his faith and what the Bible says about that. But praise the Lord because we don't need to be waving a pride flag where pride, obviously it's probably the worst sin you could possibly have. Because when you're prideful then you will reject God. Right? When you're prideful, you're about yourself. When you're humble and submit to God, that's the absence of self. So he's doing that. Obviously the J6ers got pardoned over what was it, 15,000 of them? Yes. Or 1500. What? I mean the, the number is huge and 15.
I think, I think it's 1500.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, 1500.
Yeah. And some of, I, I'm not sure if all of them have been released yet or not, but I know that was a talk of discussion. It's like, you know, he said immediately like let them out. Right. And I think the, the U.S. marshals were holding them up for, for a period of time, but I do believe most of them have been, have been released at this point. Also, bro. I mean there's so much to, to, to unpack like what all has taken place over the past few days. It's hard, like I said earlier, it's hard to keep up with all of this. But for, for the, the faith based community, a great one is those that have been imprisoned for, you know, protesting outside Planned Parenthood, you know, events and, or not events, but buildings. Right. And this was, this was a big win for us. Do we have a clip on this one?
Yeah. Next we have a set of pardons for peaceful pro life protesters who were prosecuted by the Biden administration for exercising their First Amendment rights.
Do you know how many?
I believe it's 23, sir.
23 people were prosecuted. They should not have been prosecuted.
Many of them are elderly people.
They should not have been prosecuted. This is a great honor to sign this. Yeah. Hey, Matt.
Yeah. That's phenomenal. I love how the guy says too, like, specifically said that the peaceful pro life protesters that were prosecuted by the Biden administration, like, I just love that he said all that just to make it clear there was a certain regime at the helm that was throwing these people in jail and that's not going to happen anymore. At least for the next four years and God willing will never happen again. At least in this nation again.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. And I mean, this is literally people that are, are standing for, hey, choose life. Right? And, and clearly they're not out there murdering people to get them to choose life, right? It's, it's. They, they're peacefully, you know, getting them. One of the groups that Ash and I support and, and with the King's Council we support is a group in alliance shout out to Stephen, Jenna Cross and what they're doing where they'll go outside, you know, Planned Parenthood and, and they have like mobile facility where they can come in and actually see the, the baby on an ultrasound and, and then ultimately let them make the choice. And I don't, I don't even believe this is a difference between pro life and pro choice. It's pro life and pro death. Right. Like that's, that's literally the choice that that's being made there. And, but it's not. We shouldn't be surprised with this as, as believers, like, hey, this is persecution. You know, being thrown in jail for, you know, a few months, maybe a few years is nothing compared to what we, You've seen in the past. If you actually read the Bible of what's actually happened to, to stand up for truth. Right. To stand up for. To other believers. Right. And, and for non believers as well. Right. Like to give them a fighting chance. Because life, the sanctity of life is the most precious thing that we can even, even hard to even comprehend. It's like God chose that child to be born and who are we? Whether it was through rape, right. This is, this is the gray area for those that it's like, you know, a young, young girl was maybe raped and now she has to take on this, this burden. Well, yeah, she, I mean, she could still choose life and give the child to, you Know somebody that, that can adopt and raise the child. Well, but, and, but that's just a part of us being in this fallen world. There are consequences to sin. Right. And even if you weren't the one that, that sinned, there's still consequences that we have to. To live through. Right. But we at that point get to make that choice of what, what to do what is right based upon what we have control over, not what somebody else tells us. And so this is a great win for the Christian community, even other faith communities that, that still have the, the moral compass, if we want to call it that, of actually honoring and the sanctity of actual life. And so huge win that, that Trump has put in place there. So loving that man.
Yeah, man. And the, the big one that we're gonna really dive into the declassification of the, the files of the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. Of JFK, of RFK and we're gonna div.
Pete Diddy and Epstein and see the truth. The truth will, will come to light at some point, whether on. On earth or in heaven. So at some point we'll get.
Yeah, yeah. Well, we'll dive into this before I, we get into this because we have a lot to unpack there and, and really truth coming out. Right. What does the Bible say about truth and truth prevailing and the truth setting us free? But I, I want to talk a little bit about it because the government obviously lies to us, right? No, pretty frequently. But I want to get into a discussion as to whether lying is ever justified. Right. If there's a greater good, if there's. Whether it be a moral high ground. Right. I'm lying here and lying is no good, but it's going to benefit in this sort of way morally. If lying saves my life or somebody else, Is that biblically? Okay, so we're going to get into that. But before we do, I just want to make mention of this because this hits home to me just yesterday, the announcement that Purdue Pharma, the maker of OxyContin, has reached a $7.4 billion settlement. Right. And this covers thousands of lawsuits. That's against them. And the, the owner and founder of Purdue Pharma, Richard Sackler. Very interesting. If you want to see it, it's worth the watch on Netflix. There's a series, it's like a, a four, maybe six episode series called Painkiller. Matthew Broderick actually plays this guy who created OxyContin. And it's fascinating to watch. When I watched it, I was brought to tears. Multiple times, because I was a part of that opioid epidemic. Over 700,000 people in this country in the last two decades have died from opioid overdose. Right. It was a big deal. And the series on Netflix, it gets into all the lies and deception and the bribes of somebody at the FDA to actually get this drug approved. And I. I was addicted for 14 years. 14 years. And very easily I could have been one of those 700,000 that died. Probably should have. Right. And so this hits home to me. Nothing could actually replace the lives that were lost. And, you know, you're getting sued for and for $7.4 billion. I'm sure Richard Sackler will be okay. Somehow, some way, he's going to continue to live his life, right. As the scumbag that he is. But I'm glad to see that there's a settlement. Just earlier in the year, it went to the Supreme Court, where basically the Sackler family, they. They try to make themselves. They. They tried to just pay some people off and make themselves immune from any more lawsuits. Supreme Court was like, no, you're not getting off the hook for this one. So thank God that there is some sort of justice here. $7.4 billion they have to pay out. But it's just remarkable. Like, I. We've gotten into it on prior podcasts and when I share my testimony, but the amount of. Of pills that I was being prescribed every month was obscene enough to kill somebody. 100. And then, because there was no database, like with the pharmacies and doctors, like there is now, that all came into place because of this. When I ran out, I would just go to another doctor, show them all the scars for my surgeries, and just get more. Go to a different pharmacy, tell them I don't have insurance, and just pay out of pocket for it. Like, I didn't have to buy them illegally. I just freaking got them from doctors like it was crazy. So I just wanted to throw that out there. And my heart goes out to anybody who's been affected by the opioid epidemic, anybody who has a loved one. If you yourself are struggling with addiction, hit me up, man on social media. Email us. You. You could certainly. My heart goes out to you. There's an answer for it. There's a remedy for addiction, and it's the same remedy for anything else that's ailing you in life. Any problem that you have, the remedy is the same. The problems may be different, but the remedy is the same. And that's. Jesus Christ. The day I said yes To Jesus Christ. He set me free from a 14 year drug addiction. And it was supernatural. I couldn't go a couple hours without taking them or else I get sick, like, like violently sick. And when I said yes to him, that it didn't happen, I was delivered, I was redeemed, I was set free. Best day of my life. So just had to mention that before we dive into this executive order to declassify these files.
Yeah, yeah, man, that's. I mean again, you, you mentioned it. 7.4 billion. It's like, you know, it's like whatever. But it is still, it is a win right there. There definitely needs to be accountability to things that are rushed to, to market that are ultimately harmful. You know, did they help some people, but for a small period of time, maybe. But did it out outweigh the damage that has been done to families and human beings? Souls, actual souls. It doesn't even compare. And so that, that is a good documentary. Ash and I did binge that one weekend, so definitely would recommend that on Netflix. So let's dive into this, brother. Let's. It's been announced that these files are going to be declassified. This is something that Trump wanted to do his first term. Mike Pompeo convinced him not to. Which makes you question like why, why Mike? Why shouldn't we be able to know what actually took place? I think anybody in their right mind knows that there's just been shady stuff going on with the FBI, with the CIA, since really the inception of it, it, why it was created. CIA, actually the group that came up with the word conspiracy theorists. So all you conspiracy theorists out there, it's, it's nice to see when, when truth actually does come to light, right? And oftentimes it's just a waiting game. But we got, we gotta, we gotta take the, the bashings from all those that, that call us those names. But it's exciting to see, you know, I don't know the timing on when these are actually going to be released, but you better believe what we'll be talking about, that once we do find the actual truth and evidence of what's been going on here, not, not just with jfk, but with mlk, right? With, with RFK and so many more, I think that our minds will be. I don't even know. Probably not anymore. Like we're not going to be like completely shocked. It's like, well, yeah, that's what we figured, right? I'm guessing. What do you think, man? Are you going to be. You think it's going to be like, oh, my goodness, I didn't, didn't expect that coming. Or is it going to be like, yep, as we expected?
I think it'll be as we expected. I mean, maybe there's a couple curveballs in there, but we basically know what we're being told now isn't true, right? What, what people of authority have said up till now that that's not true. So, yeah, I'm very curious to see what the truth actually is. And Royce, play the clip, man, of Trump there signing that executive order. Lastly, sir, we have an executive order ordering the declassification of files relating to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. That's a big one, huh? For years, the decades, I don't know, some people may not like, like Trump saying that, but I love it. Like, that's a big one. Like, to me, that just makes it more likable. Like, I don't know.
Right? Yeah, some people hate it. But also, I just want to give a shout out, dude, like, how many Cokes is this guy drinking? Because I, we didn't get a lot of sleep this last week, man, but I, I bet we still got more than, than Trump and, and that administration and they've just been like, going at it and so honor to them for, you know, leading by example and, and getting, getting what's, getting what needs to be done handled in a very timely manner. So, yeah, I, I, I like it as well, because, hey, man, if, if you can't make it fun, why do it right?
If you can't make leading, leading the world fun, then why do it right?
You got to take joy in these things for sure. So, yeah, I'm curious, what do you guys think in the chat too? Let us know. Do you think there's going to be any, like, oh, my goodness, you know, bombshells that, that we're, we're going to actually discover with this? Or is it going to be like, yeah, it's kind of what we, what we figured. I'm curious what your guys's thoughts are on this as well, because I thought I talked to people on both sides that they think we don't, we don't even have any clue what, what's, what's in there. And then some that are like, yeah, we know, we know it's finally going to get actually released.
Well, I've been curious about this since I was a kid and I watched that movie the Rock with Nicholas Cage. Where. With the Rock, not the Rock.
Welcome to the Rock.
Yeah. Sean Connery.
Yeah.
At the end he, he gets the little file that he's looking at and he's like, honey, you want to know who really shot jfk? And then the movie ends. So I've been wondering since then. So finally gonna find out. Finally gonna find out. Maybe they can make a part two to that movie now.
Now that'd be great. Nick Cage, one of the world's worst actors of all time, but is in a lot of movies, so he.
Sure. So let's dive into this. So the truth is going to be revealed, right? And as I said, the government from time to time happens to smear the truth a little bit. They're known to lie, right? Politicians are known to lie. But Luke 8:17 says, for not nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Right? And typically you learn that at a very young age when you lie to your parents or lie to somebody else, usually it gets found out somehow, some way. The, the truth is exposed, right? It's revealed. And John 8, 31 through 32, this is Jesus speaking. He says, if you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. So this is the truth about who killed jfk, mlk, rfk. But ultimately, if you don't know Jesus, you're not going to know the truth, right? We talk about there's only one truth. Truth isn't on a scale. There's no such thing as. Well, I believe my truth and you believe your truth. Well, just dispute, disagree, no, there's not two different truths. It's that one person is just deceived and they take a self righteous attitude that no, I'll just believe this. And because I believe it, it's right. That's usually how we go about things. But unless we're a disciple of Jesus Christ, unless we know the word of God, we're not going to know what truth actually is. And as I mentioned in that second Timothy verse, how in the last days and it's happening where people will become lovers of themselves, have itchy ears, they're just more and more going to want to hear what they want to hear and they're going to take that as truth. Even those deceptions. Well, we're in a day and age where if we don't know truth, if we don't know scripture, if somebody comes in to deceive us, how are we going to know about it? Throughout Scripture there's countless warnings that there's going to be wolves in sheep's clothing. Right. There's warnings against false teachers, false prophets, and how can we know if what somebody's saying is false? Right. Unless, I mean, you may discern something, may be off, but it's easy to, to know it. You don't have to discern it if you know what truth actually is.
Yes, yeah, absolutely. And it's when we think of truth, I, I always, I always think of Pilate when, you know, Jesus is, is being, you know, brought before them. And you know, Pilate's like, so you're a king, right? And, and Jesus is, is. He doesn't go, he doesn't say yes, right. But he's like, well, you say that I'm a king and, and you know, he ultimately, then Pilate just asks with a question like, what is truth? What is truth? And I think this is something that a lot of us ask and it's hard to understand, like, what is truth? Looks like we lost Christian. Is that right? Royce, if you're on with me still. Royce.
Yeah.
Did we lose him?
Christians? Yeah. His camera turned off, so that's, yeah, that's, that's typical. It happens sometimes.
Yes. He's got like this 45 minute timer on there or something where it kicks off and on. So. But thanks for joining me. So I'm not a talking.
Hang out with you for a minute.
Yeah, yeah, this will be great. Because this is like his segment right now. Yeah. So this is, this is fantastic. But I, I always think of that, as I was mentioning with pilots, like, what is truth? And, and I think that's what most of us question at. Throughout all of our lives. It's like, what is the purpose of this thing? What. What am I supposed to do? And ultimately we. This is the, the pursuit of. Or what Jordan Peterson, I think even mentions, like, if you don't know your purpose, like, he talks about this, it's like that is like, like the most, like the, the worthless feeling that you have. And that's where we constantly seek things like, you know, Krishna went to opiates or, or other substances or other quote, unquote successes because we're seeking truth. Like, this is. This might be my truth at this time, or maybe this is my truth. This is what I did in business for, for many, you know, over a decade of like, thinking I'm gonna go find success, think I'm gonna find truth in. This is like, this is what I'm supposed to do. And it wasn't until I actually dove the truth and meditate on it, ruminate on it, and ultimately found what true success actually was, right? Because it's not about what I do and what I accomplish on this earth, but it's about who I become in that process and this sanctification process of submitting, laying down your life, and ultimately repenting and following the actual word of God. So, Christian, I'm glad you're back, bro. I hear. I thought I was going to have to go on a truth tangent for the last, you know, 15 minutes of the show when, when you're the one who compiled all the notes.
I don't know what happened. I. I don't know what's going on with the camera. Probably talking about the enemy. He. He did something, something to my camera. I don't know. But he didn't want the truth to get out. That's what it is, right? There we go and teach truth and righteousness. And we have an enemy. We have one that is doing everything in his power to, to deceive and turn us away. And one of the ways he just did that was by turning my camera off. Somehow, some way, I'm going to blame the enemy, not my own technological ineptitude. Okay, right, so we'll just blame the enemy for that one. But I want to talk about what the Bible says about lying, right? Like, it's no shock that it says that lying is bad. Proverbs 12:22. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are his delight, right? It's an abomination to the Lord. John 8:44. Jesus says, you are of your father, the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. So. Oh man, that so. So if you habitually lie, and even there's believers or so called believers who just like habitually lie, well, what Jesus is saying is like, if you're a liar, is your father is the father of lies, right? It's not God the Father, because you, you're taking on these traits of the enemy. So even little white lies that they, they add up, right? And a little white lie is the same as a really big lie in the eyes of God. Revelation 21:8 says, but the cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable, the, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone which is the second death. All liars, right? So it's a pretty big deal lying in the Bible, however.
Yeah, this is where it's like, come on man.
Yeah, there's a couple instances in scripture where lying, it doesn't just seem okay. It seems like God is almost saying, giving an attaboy for, for, for lying. Right? And the first example of this is in Joshua chapter two, Rahab, right? She, she was there in Jericho and when the spies had gone out to, to spy out the land, this, this promised land, like if they had gotten caught, they would have been killed, right? So what Rahab did was when the, the soldiers were looking for these spies, she lied, she said they're not here, right? And she hid them. And what does God say about her? In Hebrews 11, she's in the hall of faith. It says by faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not, did not believe when she had received the spies with peace. It's like, wow. It's like it was her faith that led her to, to lie. And I, I mean it actually makes reference specifically that she, she, she lied here, right? When she had received the spies with peace, she received the spies, but, but lied about it. So very interesting there that she's in the hall of faith when she, she, she hid the spies and lied on their behalf. Now there's like a. More of a modern day example of this Corrie 10 boom who was a Jew in Nazi Germany and she's written many books and said she survived Nazi Germany, but her house was considered like the hiding place where she was hiding Jews and, and she would lie on their behalf. And she went on to, to write and speak about the, the struggle she had with that like the moral dilemma, like I know I shouldn't lie, but if I don't lie, these people are going to get killed. These innocent people are going to get killed. And I think it's a very similar example to Rahab where you're lying, which of course God doesn't like. But there's a greater injustice that's being done where this person who's innocent is going to be, be murdered for no reason. This person's going to lose their life. Will I be willing to lie to save somebody's life? And I'm glad that, that God here, obviously all the scriptures and we just read a couple, but there's so many more verses about lying. So it's clear what God thinks about lying. But in a situation like this, it, it seems to, to indicate that God will be okay with it.
Yeah, dude, this even reminds me of what went down in 2020. You know, these, these vaccine mandates and things along those lines where people are. And I had a number of conversations with, with Christians that were, you know, essentially going to lose their job or heck, we had an instance in, in Mexico where we had to get Covid tested and in order to get back into the, the States and there were people that we were with that had Covid. Right. And so it's like, man, what, what do we do in this situation? It's, it's like this. I, I know there, there's tyranny that's actually going on and taking place. Your, your camera's going in and out, Christian. I'm sure you see that, bro. But. Yep. And, and so that's just like a modern day example. And I'm even curious for, for you guys and actually the chat maybe situations that you've dealt with where it's like, man, is it can I in good conscience, because of my faith lie? And this is just a topic I think that is kind of fun to talk about when it's. Is it being obedient to tyranny or obedient to God? And this is a struggle I think that a lot of us have to do. And you know, this is something that, but Ash and I, we, we, I mean we just got Covid cards if you, if you want to call it that. It's like, yeah, I'm, I'm good and, or you know, Aaron Rodgers. I've been. What did he say when he's been immune? I forget what, what he actually made the phrase. But the question was like, have you been vaccinated? And he's, he has immunity towards it is how he responded. It's like, you know, know it wasn't a blatant lie, but he did have immunity towards it because he, it wasn't something that he wanted to actually go down that path of, of injecting, you know, what a lot of people actually gave into. And so I think that's just a decent modern day example. But I really believe it boils down to is it because of your faith or which is the example of Rahab? Or is it because of, you know, the, the tyranny side of this thing that actually was taking place. But there's some other examples as well. Is there Christian? Not just Rahab.
Yeah. And if my camera goes off again, I'm not going to try to fix it. I'm just gonna speak and everybody could just look at you.
Okay, yeah, I'll mouth the words.
Right, Right. But even with COVID Right. I didn't get the jab, and it wasn't because I. It. I. There's many reasons I didn't get it, but mostly because of my faith. Right. And the reasons within my faith. I actually penned the letter to. For many people as a pastor who used that for their job, where it allowed them to use a religious exemption and not get the job. And everybody that I had written the letter for, they were exempt, and there was never an issue. Right, Right. So some people, of course, it was funny. Even when I used to work at a hospital, even flu season, that's when all of a sudden people would be like, I don't want to get the flu shot. Yeah, no. God says, don't get it. Right. And they tried to. Right. And those people would get denied. But, I mean, you saw the letter that I wrote with all the biblical reasons why I don't want to put that stuff into my body. And it was approved. So it was faith that. That led to that. Now, if it was a situation, all these people who are in a tough situation where it's like, okay, maybe some of those people did have a religious exemption and still got denied. Well, now what do you do? If I don't get the jab, I'm gonna get fired from my job. But what do you do in a situation like that? Would I have lied if I had to, if it meant my paycheck? Right. So in a situation like that, I give all the honor in the world to people who just, like, I'm not doing it. I'm going to stand for what I believe, and especially those who are doing it because of their faith, and they wound up losing their jobs over it. So I. I honor those people for standing up. What. For what they believe. Not being bullied into this. I. I see Matt Lee in the chat, lost the football scholarship for turning in a fake Covid card. Come to find out I could have done a religious exemption. They lied to me about having no other options, and I got booted. That was the funny thing with the religious exemptions, because I. I gave my. Like, I wrote myself the religious exemption as a pastor to not even get the flu shot. And they always deny it at first, and they say, no, you're denied, and then you appeal it. It's against the law to deny somebody a religious exemption. Right. It's against the law. The funny thing, though, was when the Jehovah's Witnesses said that they. That they Couldn't take a, even a flu shot. There was no issue, right? It was just Christians that they had an issue with, which was, that's another story, however, more instances of lying, man. I, I, and I think this is a fascinating one right here in Exodus, chapter 1 1, right? You see these two Hebrew midwives, Shipra and Pua, and listen to what scripture has to say about them. Now at the time, all the, the male infants being born, they were to be killed, right? By the midwives. The midwives would help the, the mother give birth to the baby, and if it was a boy, they were supposed to kill him, right? And, and what, what they did, and I'll just read it to you, says then, then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shifra, the other, Pua, when you serve as midwives to the Hebrew women and see them on the birth stool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live. But the midwives feared God, right? They fear God. They didn't care what the government was telling them them because their authority was higher than the government. Their authority was God. They fear God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live. So the king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them, why have you done this? And let the male children live. The midwives said to Pharaoh, because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian woman, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them. So what they said was, you know, these, these, these women here, they're giving birth so fast that we can't even get to them in time to be of help. So these babies are being born before we get there, and I don't know what they're doing with them. So they explicitly lied to Pharaoh, right? The, the king of Egypt. And listen to what verse 20 says. It says, so God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew, grew very strong. And because the midwives fear God, he gave them families. Now that's fascinating to me. The, the key that they fear God, they made their decisions based on fearing God and serving God above man. I don't care who it is, because I don't care if it's here. We're to honor our parents, right? But if our parents are having us do something that's opposing or contrary to what God is telling us to do, we serve God even before our parents. We serve God before our bosses. We serve God before our government. We serve God before the President of the United States. So you mentioned the jab. That's why so many people. It's like, I'm proud of everybody who stepped up, said, no, I'm not doing this. It's not because I just don't want. It's because my faith, I'm convicted. If I were to do this, I feel like I will be sinning by what I'm doing. Because it's. If what. If anything proceeds that's not from faith, then it's sin. That's what scripture says. So if I'm doing this because I'm forced into it, that's sin. And I'm not going to willfully sin against my Maker, my creator, because you're telling me to, right?
Yeah.
So I, I think that's a fascinating one. And how did God deal with these midwives? He dealt well with the midwives. It was like, again, another attaboy. Proud. Proud of the midwives. For, for sparing these children's lives. And you had to lie about it on their behalf. You had to lie on. Lie about it just so you wouldn't be killed now for saving their lives. God's like, yeah, you did well.
Yeah, yeah, it's good, man. And so I think it just mainly boils down to, is it, who are you serving, right? Who are you serving in this? Is it man, or is it God? And that's what obedience really boils down to. And so when it comes to lying, though, and I think even parents on here that are listening, it's like there's things that you maybe tell little white lies to about your kids or to your kids. And this is a hard one because this is something Ash and I just, We've committed. We're never lying. We're never lying to Ellie about anything. Or Titus now that he's, you know, will be growing. And no matter what, the hard question is, it's. And it's. It's not more so a matter of trying to hide the truth from her, but it is the relationship that I want to have with my child. I want there to be full on trust and, And. And to know that that isn't something that I've ever, I've ever hid from you or. There's no gray area in that. And I know that's not all parents, right? But I, I would challenge you on that. Is, Is what's. What's more important, right, is trying to get them to do what you want to do in the moment because you're going to tell them that if this happens, something weird is going to happen. You know, it's like what's more important is like your selfish ambition at that time or is it because the long term relationship more of an, again, that eternal mindset that we take on with how we parent our kids. And so that's just another topic that kind of came to mind is when is it, when is it okay to lie? I, I don't think it's ever okay to lie if you're just out there lying to people and, and trying to get them to go to your ways. I don't think scripture tells, tells us that unless it is in, in against, we'll call it tyranny, right? Against something that is actually going to cause you or others to possibly fall from grace. Right. To, to, to walk away from their faith then at that point then. Absolutely right. And this is a prime example is just back to, to love, right? What is, what truly is, is that love and, and truth. Truth is love, right? And, and if you, if, if somebody needs correction and they need to actually be told the right thing, how you say it is probably going to be more important than what you actually say in the moment. So what, what's your thoughts, Christian, when it comes to lying? Even with like parenting and things?
Yeah, it's funny you bring this up because Ezy and I just had like a moment that I'll always remember the rest of my life, just the other night. And yeah, sometimes you can tell little white lies to your kids, right? I want a lollipop. We don't have any more lollipops. Well, yeah, you do. You just don't want your kid to have a lollipop, right? So even things like that, which sometimes we, we just do, thinking it's no big deal. But I had done something like that a couple weeks ago and Lucy was like, don't lie, right? And I was like, oh, I didn't even like, like think about it like that. Like, I wasn't like really trying to deceive him necessarily sometimes for the greater good to, to make sure like he, he's acting right, and the, the day's flowing. It was something, but it just really made me think and ponder and pray about. I was like, yeah, same thing that you just said that you're not going to lie to Ellie. So the other night before bed, he's got his little kid's Bible and he loves the story of Noah. So he read the story of Noah again, man. And one thing, he knows the story of Noah like the back of his Hand. But one thing that we're doing because he is a great reader, but we just want to make sure that he's not just a good reader, but he's actually comprehending what he reads. So now every page we kind of ask him questions about what he just read. So at the end story of Noah, obviously God displayed a rainbow and the rainbow was a covenant that he would never flood the earth again, right? So this was God's covenant to the people. And so I said to him, I said, so what's a covenant? And he said a promise, right? I said, so how about this? How about you and I make a covenant with one another right now? How about we make a covenant that I'm never gonna lie to you and you're never gonna lie to me, right? Which it's like I, I'm gonna win on that one, right? Because if he could actually it's gonna be a lot harder for him as a four year old old boy did not lie to his dad as it will be for me as a 43 year old man did not lie to him. But he looked at me, he said, yeah, yeah, I promise I'm never gonna lie to you, right? And then Lucy came in so we could pray and he said, mommy, Daddy and I just made a covenant. And she was like, okay, covenant, what's the covenant? First she said, well, what's a covenant? And he said a promise. She said, okay, so what did you promise? Daddy and I are never gonna lie to each other as long as we live. And she almost like started tearing up and I'm about start tearing up now. But yeah, so something like that. I think it's important that in situations like this where like if somebody knocked on the door and was gonna kill my family or was trying to take Ezzy and I had to hide him and I had to lie, right? Like yeah, I'm pretty sure I would do that and I'm pretty sure that God will be okay with it. But when it comes to all the lies that just kind of come out of our mouths throughout the day, the little lies, the little deceptions, that sort of thing that's not pleasing to God and I for the biggest thing out of all of it, I want Ezzy to know this and learn this and let this be one of his core values. I'm not gonna lie, I'm going to be a man of integrity. Integrity. The Bible says let your yes be yes and your no no. And bottom line, that's why I can't stand a wishy washy Christian and not just personally. It's like a pet peeve of mine. A Christian who says one thing and does another. But what a terrible witness that is for Jesus. Yeah, right. Like all that we do, we're under a magnifying glass by the world and the world is just waiting for one of us to slip up, say oh that. Yeah, the Christians are all hypocrites. They say one thing and do another. So I can't stand it. But even more so I can't stand it because it's a horrible witness for Jesus. Like don't, don't run around saying you're a Christian. Don't try to represent Christ over here and then be a liar over here.
Yes, yes, that's good man. It's a good way to end this show. So I can't. That hour flew by here I thought you have so many more pages of notes on this man. So let's talk about something.
I over prepare for everything.
Yes, yes, yes. Right on guys. Well if you guys are liking this content, you know, we'll just ask you, you know, hit like hit share and let others know, you know that we're going to come to every single week with a, you know, recap of what's been going on during the week. We'll talk about it from a kingdom perspective and then we're going to dive into a topic like this. What does the Bible actually say and how do we walk this thing out here on this earth here and now today that's what we're called to do as, as ambassadors for Christ. As Christian just mentioned.
