Happy Friday the 13th. I just realized that. Oh, man, it's going to be a good day. Dun, dun, dun. Welcome to the King's Council live. You got myself, you got Mr. Christian Edwards. This is where we have unfiltered conversations. We talk about politics, current events. We got some fun stuff to talk about today. Here's the difference between us. We talk about things from a kingdom perspective. We do this ultimately to really hopefully help you want to impact culture, and we want to transform lives to today. Oo, it's been an interesting week. We're going to dive into some fun stuff today. We've got the topic of if you saw the. The tile, it was. Is. Is God real? Like, is there proof that he actually exists? And if there is, we're going to dive into this. How do we know? Like, how do we know if there's actual proof? Because there's so much darn evil in the world today. Heck, we look at this week alone, right? There's drones flying over the United States, right? Putin's actually telling Russians and Syrian refugees to leave the US because is it not safe for some reason? That gets a little sketchy. LeBron stepping away from basketball, right? Is it his connection. I'm interested here. Your top. Your thoughts on this, Christian. Is it because his connection with P. Diddy? Speaking of evil, P. Diddy. But first. But first, how are you, brother?
Good, man. Good. When you said the difference between us, I thought you're going to say the height. I. I didn't realize you're talking about the show. The difference between this show and other shows. I thought you're talking about me and you individually. Difference. He look, you know, that sort of thing.
Yes. There. There is a reason we do this sitting down, not standing up. I'm in my booster seat right now.
No, I. I love these podcasts because it's a good opportunity to just, you know, throw shots at you. It's good, right? It's good. Good.
Especially when we're in other, different rooms. I. I appreciate that. So is that a threat if we're.
In the same room? Would you do something physical?
No, no, no, no. We were in the same room last week, man.
Was all. We were.
It was all good. Yeah. You took shots at me, so I accept it.
I mean, I tell people that's how, you know, I love you. Like, like, the more shots I take at you, usually that's. That's a good sign that I like you a lot. So. And I don't. I don't just like you a lot. I Love you. So there you go. But then again, I'm a Christian. I love everybody.
Yes, of course you do. Of course you do. Oh, man. Well, so what's new in your world today? You're in balmy Texas. I'm. I heard here in Minnesota. For those that don't know, I. The last two days have been gnarly, like, disgustingly cold. I woke up this morning, checked my phone app, and it. It read, negative 2, negative 2 degrees here. And I'm like, man, is God real? That's questioning. And then I'm like, man, why have I chosen to live here? Thankfully, we'll be spending some time down in Florida here real, real soon, and even Arizona this next week. Looking forward to that. But what's. What's new in your world, brother?
We.
We dive in.
It's actually a little chilly here. Royce actually told me to turn off my heat. I turned the heat on. He said, I hear the fans blowing, so I. I turned the heat off for the show. It's a little chilly. Usually this time of year, we do have to turn the heat on a little bit, especially having a black wife and, you know, black daughter that live in the house. They prefer heat rather than cold. They. They. Black people always have this thing about white people how, you know, in the winter time, they'll walk around in shorts and flip flops. I don't think that's the case for everybody, but for the most part, you know, like every stereotype, there is some truth to it, for sure. But my wife, that. That's probably been the primary issue we've had over our marriage for the last going on 13 years, which, praise the Lord, if that's the only thing that is an issue in your marriage. It's how cold I can make it in the summertime in the house, and how hot she can make it in the winter time.
Yeah. Yes, that's true, man. Yeah, that's true. If that doesn't prove God exists right there, I mean, we could end the show right now. So how. The fact that actually last.
Right. The fact that I have a wife like Lucy, who is the. The best wife on planet Earth, hands down, if that's not evidence for God in itself that she would marry a schlub like me, then I don't know what is, quite frankly.
Yes. And. And even knew you from kind of your lowest of lows, which we're going to dive into a little bit on today's episode as well. For those that don' necessarily know much of Christian story, we're gonna we're gonna fill you in on a little of that as well. And just the incredibleness, the radicalness, the transformation that God has done in and through you, man, and even myself as well. And we want to hear it from you guys as well in the chat as we, we kind of dive into this in a little bit here. We want to know some of these testimonies of, of what God's done in, in your lives and, and even what we're praying for, because that's, that's part of our commitment here with the King's council. Again, just a background if you're new to this show and Jesus is king, right? That's, that's our declaration. And really the, the stance on which our, the show is, is founded on. We, he is king, right? And he, he created kings and priests. And so we, we just view this as we're sitting on the council, baby. And, and we are here to usher in the kingdom, his kingdom come here on Earth as it is in heaven. And so before we get into that, though, let's talk about a couple current events. Man. What's with these drones we've got going on in the, in the U.S. what's your thoughts on that?
Yeah, it's interesting because I'm from New Jersey and apparently they're all over the place now. I'm hearing a lot in California, all over the country, but the, the main story has been in New Jersey. So all these towns that they're mentioning, I'm very familiar with. And it, it's, it's interesting. I love that the congressman from New Jersey came out, spoke on Fox News. He said, no, that I, I got from good sources that there's this mothership out in the Atlantic Ocean off the east coast, and these drones were bought by Iran. They were bought from Russia, and this is Iran doing this. And then the Pentagon immediately says, no, no, no, there's no truth to that. We don't know where this is coming from, but it's not an adversary. It's like, okay, so it's strange. I mean, throughout history, I mean, when is the government ever told you the truth? But even more so now when they're. So there's clear evidence of these drones, obviously you see on the screen right now, for those of you watching. But I mean, are you alarmed by this? Like, is there any anxiety with this? Because I'm not at all. I know people are freaking out about this and maybe I should, I don't know. But I'm just like, ah, there's just more weird Stuff going on that we're not going to know unless maybe, you know, Cash Patel becomes FBI director or something like that.
Yeah.
But it's just more mysteries that the government that will not explain. They're choosing not to explain. And it's like, ah, we'll just have to live with it.
Yeah, it is interesting. I, I was going to make a funny comment, but I tuned in to Dear America Graham show this morning and he had Chad on and Chad stole my comment. I was like, oh, I was going to use that because I was going to take another shot at you, brother, that if it's like aliens and they're looking for intelligent life, they shouldn't be doing that in New Jersey.
Says the guy from South Dakota. Okay. Okay. Thank God you're not from, from North Dakota and.
Right.
You know.
Yeah.
And closer to soon to be gay North Dakota or 51st state.
That was a great Babylon B post, man. I did see that. That's good. Yeah. Who knows what, what this is. But here's, here's my thought on this is if whether, who knows what, what information is actually true that we're getting. But who, who cares? Like, shoot the dang thing down. If, if, if it's. If we don't know. Right. Shoot the darn thing down and get it out. Even if it is some schmuck here in the US that's just playing like techno geek. Shoot it down. We have, you have to set a precedent. Like, nah, it ain't allowed here. You have no right to be spying on us or doing whatever the heck they're doing. Possibly spraying. I saw some things like that. Like, whatever it is, it ain't good. It's not like they're here to like, like spread cash money to everybody or do anything like that. It's like, get the dang thing out of our airspace and be done with this already. The fact that this is even still news is, is kind of annoying to me. But who knows? Who knows?
If you put the puzzle pieces together. Not really puzzle pieces, I guess, but if it's true that Iran bought these from Russia, I mean, Russia, obviously, they're a little pissed at us. We keep giving billions of dollars to the Ukraine to fight that war over there. And you know, Putin is telling, he's, he's coming out making statements like, yeah, leave America. If you're Russian, leave America. So that's a little alarming. Why would he be telling Russ.
Right.
Citizens or Russian, you know, people from Russia, whatever, whether a citizen of America now or not to leave. I mean that that's a little frightening because what does he have a piss leave? It's like January 20th, can't get here fast enough. Get Trump in office. And I mean, but like we stated before, he, he's not the savior. Is our country going to be far better off with a president like him than Joe Biden or Kamala? 100%. However, he's not the savior and crap still going to be. And when all this, this stuff starts happening, obviously we look at things through a biblical perspective. End time events where, I mean there's going to be wars, rumors of wars, people will become even more so lovers of themselves. Right? And you see all this, that's really rampant right now. It, it makes sense. And I don't know what's going to happen to America ultimately. You know, when you read, read the Bible, I don't believe, you know, some people think that America's in the Bible. I don't believe that America is in the Bible. And you know, you look at two world powerhouses like the United States and China, you don't see those, those two countries in the Bible. What happens? Are we wiped out in a World War 3 type situation? Are we wiped out? Just, I mean we're not an old nation. There was plenty of countries and nations and territories that were thriving for far more than a couple hundred years that were absolutely obliterated or decimated in one way or another. So it's not like, yeah, we're good because we've been, we've been doing all right for the last 200 years. So it's interesting. But maybe the piece that I have about the drones, about Putin, about all this is just simply because I got the peace of God living inside of me.
You got the joy, joy, joy down in your heart down in your heart down. We'll get Ezzy on here to start singing with us.
Yeah, Ezzy, dude, I, I didn't send you the video last night. I told you it was his first ever like Christmas play. He, he, he goes to a Christian preschool and they did a Christian play and it's so funny because they walked the 4 year old out first, right? And he was a narrator so he like, it was phenomenal to see like they chose him to be the narrator. Usually they have a teacher narrate but because he's such a good reader, they had him. He sat there and chair, read the, held the mic and narrated. But when they first walked him on stage, it was him dressed in his little collared shirt and all the other four year olds that were in costume, sheep, shepherds, whatever, whatever it was going to be. And dude, everybody was like a head shorter than him. It was like, I was so proud as a dad. Like, look at that big boy up there, right? And then he absolutely crushed it. So. Yeah, I'm so proud of my son and hopefully. Well, what if it's God's will? It's God's will, but hopefully he'll be using a mic in his adult days to preach the word of God.
Yeah. Yeah, that's good, man. I'm glad he was. Glad he did. Well, I was curious on that. I was. Unfortunately my daughter was sick the last two days and she had her Christmas concert on Tuesday. I get a call at like one o' clock that she's at home or she's at school throwing up and I, I gotta confess this to everybody. I was like, oh, I don't have to sit through that Christmas concert. So I was, I was a little like, I was a little happy. Although I was, I was. You know, I felt terrible for, for Ellie but, but she's better. She's back in school today actually trying out for the next play that they've got coming up here in the springtime. So anyways, anyways.
And she's playing basketball now too. How'd she do last?
Yeah, bro, yeah. Oh, bro, she's, she scored, which is good. This is my daughter's first, first year in basketball. So it's funny teaching, you know, the rules and things like that, but that's what we're doing this weekend, man. She missed two days of practice. So here in the sport court, man, we're running drills all day tomorrow. So she's gonn.
Practically busy practice, man.
Not a game about practice.
Not a game. Allen Iverson referenced those. For those who don't know.
Yes, yes. Well, let's dive, let's dive into this, man, because our, our topic of today, what we really want to dive into is something that I just really felt God laying on my heart. Over the past month or so we had some friends that, that were coming into town that, that aren't Christians very spiritual people open to things. But I, I be a great opportunity for us to potentially share our faith with them. And, and I, I started to kind of feel a little bit convicted or questioning like how am I going to do this? And as I was reading through 1 Peter 3:15, it's like, man, we are, we are to always be prepared to, to, to give a, a reason why we have a hope in, in what we have and and so I went on, I shared it with Christian like, man, I think we need to do Bible study on this. Let's dive deep into this which we have been that don't know. Every Wednesday morning, 7 o' clock central standard Time, we go live. And, and it's a zoom. So it's, it's, it's face to face. If you want to have your camera on. Christian leads us through the King's Council Bible study, which is you can go to join kingscouncil.com and you'll get on our forever email list so you'll get notified of that. But also if you just went to kingscouncilbiblestudy.com we'll get you notified. You can actually register and add that to your calendar every Wednesday morning again, 7 o' clock central standard time. So we gave evidence of. First off, I think there's just the reality of this. A lot of us and maybe some even listening to this, it's like we haven't even thought about this, this topic before of like, why do I believe the things that I do? And is it just because my Christian, my, I grew up Christian, my parents were Christian and I went to church. And I've just accepted this. I want to challenge you on that today because I think this is something that we should, we should really know why. And, and for those that maybe, you know, I grew up in South Dakota where it's like, yeah, everybody's a Christian, right? But there was, there was like zero fruit or anything that. Zero lordship, I guess we'll call it in any. Many of the lives that I grew up around. And so I just kind of classified myself of that. And then there's others that are like, heck no. Some of you listen, you're like, nah, I don't think, I don't even sure maybe God exists. I don't know. But it's, it's a. Going to be a fun conversation here for us just to talk about because in some like Christian had, have had a radical experience and there's like, you can't. I, I couldn't possibly con, ever convince Christian that God isn't real. Right. And so I think we can walk people through these steps and, and also encourage us on why we believe the things that we do. Right. Number one is, is there a God? Is, is all of this just by chance, like the Big bang, did that actually happen? Or was there an intelligent design for everything? That, and if, if that's the case, if we can prove that, then it's like all right, well, is Jesus actually God? Is, is he God? Or is it Allah? Or is it what a lot of people, you know, treat themselves as God? Or is it just, hey, everybody is going to go to heaven one day and this, this universalism thought process, or is there one way? Is there, is there really the truth that, that ultimately we'll dive into and, and then we probably won't have any time into this. But this is what we'll be talking about on next week's Bible study. Is, is the Scriptures, Is, is the Holy Bible? Is it actually real? Because it was written by man, but it was authored by God. And so how do we know that, that this is the Word of God? And this is something that I actually struggled with a few years ago. And Christian helped, helped really walk me through this because I was like, man, if I'm basing my life off of this thing, because I was, I was all in. I'm like. And I was, I'm reading the Word, I'm diving in, and all of a sudden there's things that I don't like. I don't feel like that. I don't. But I, But God, I mean, I was going to say he doesn't care about your feelings. He certainly cares about your feelings, but if your feelings don't line up with the Word of God, that's your, that's on you. That's not God's problem, right? That's on you. Because if we're going to trust this thing and we're going to walk this out as a, as a disciple, as a true follower of Jesus, not just a quote unquote Christian, then obedience is, is more important than any sort of sacrifice, right? And so if, if we believe that in, in our, our heart and our attempt here today is to really just maybe start to probe some questions, to start to evoke just some, some thoughts for you to take and do your own research, do your own investigation into this to truly know why, to be able to actually give and give a reason why you have the hope that you do. And I think you mentioned the joy of the Lord down in your heart. Well, I mentioned it, but you mentioned the reason when the world is in all chaos and all hell is literally breaking loose, why can believers, true followers of Jesus, why can we stand firm? And it's because of this eternal mindset that we have to take on when we continually get transformed by the renewing of our mind, right, to not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but when we become transformed every day by reading the word, spending time with him, not just praying to him, but listening, receiving from him. That's how we can walk this thing out here and continue this process of sanctification until we ultimately receive our citizenship in heaven, which we've already got it now if you've confessed with your mouth, you believe in your heart, you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of your life. Then from there it's this process of just like sanctification, we're set apart, but it's a continual process here up until he calls us home. So yeah, let's start the basics, brother, unless you got anything to add to that.
But I think, well, even Jesus says, and he's most likely talking about the time of the tribulation where all hell is breaking loose on earth. And he says for, for believers there will be tribulation saints, those who come to Christ during the tribulation, which is just wild because I believe that the, the church will be raptured before the tribulation. But he says when all this is going on, look up for your redemption draws near. He tells us we could have a peace no matter what's going on around us because this, this life that we have is going to go by in a snap of a finger, right? And it's but a vapor this time that we're in. And eternity is a very long time. We only have one shot at this life that we have here on earth. But our life as believers got started the day we said yes to the Lord and we were born again. So we were born again. And our spirits will never die. We will be in, in heaven with Jesus for all of eternity. And it's going to be better than a P. Diddy party, I tell you that much right now.
Amen to that.
I won't be any baby oil there, you know, you won't need baby oil for your, your skin on your glorified bodies. Your bodies are going to be perfect. It's going to be remarkable.
I think.
Go ahead.
I was going to say, yes, I'm going to have a full head of hair, six pack abs. It's going to be great. It's going to be great.
Says the guy who has hair on his head.
I've been working on it, man. We got some exosomes going on up there. It's coming in, it's coming in.
Okay. And you got like a four and a half pack, right? You're close. Yeah, it's.
Yes, working on it, Working on it.
Yeah, yeah. So anyhow, we're to have peace. But I. Go ahead. You. You steer the ship, brother.
You want me to steer? Okay, I'll steer. I'll steer. I think let's. Let's start at the basics then, with this, because. And for those that even want to dive deeper in this, I'm going to just throw out to you some great resources. Is a gentleman, Frank Turek. He's been at a lot of the, you know, one of the partners that we work with is Turning Point. Turning Point Faith. Turning Point, USA Faith. And Frank does a great job at just apologetics and really just walking people through this understanding of actual creation that versus, you know, atheists that believe, hey, they don't believe in God. Right. Which he wrote an incredible book called I Don't have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist. Because at the end of the day, it's still faith. Whether. Whether you're believing in God or not in God, there is still faith. And he does a great job. So he's got a ton of YouTube videos out there, but it is a great book for those to read as well. And if we, if we just get to the basics of, of creation, man, it is like if we really think back to. And one of the topics that I'll even mention that I know we were going to mention this at some point, at least in evidence of Jesus being God. The Bible Museum out in Washington, D.C. it's probably the only reason to go out to Washington, dc. Ash and I went out there, man, last spring, surprised her with a little weekend getaway, which was amazing. We got to spend the entire day going through the Bible Museum. And what's going to be out there. This. I don't even know when it's coming live here.
It's there now.
Now it's in July.
Yep.
Amazing. Amazing. The Megiddo. Am I pronouncing that correctly? Megiddo, yes.
Do you know?
All right, perfect. How do you know? How do you know?
Well, I study.
The Megiddo mosaic. There was actually something that. Some of you may have even seen this if you're. If you follow any of the social media channels that I do. There is a, an inscription that was. Was found. It's. It's actually was a. Was it in the. In the ground or in the, in the flooring of it? Christian. Here we go. Here it is.
Yeah. Of a prison that was there. Wow. Found in the floor of a prison that. That used to be used as a place of worship for the early Christians. And this tablet that was found, I mean, it's like 16ft by 32ft. It's huge. Says it replied. It doesn't just infer it, it states Jesus is God on there. Which this was dated back to 230 A.D. and you know, everybody's trying to debunk Christianity, the Bible, all that. Say it wasn't until Constantine came around in the early 4th century and he accepted Christianity and even, you know, he embraces so much. He tried to force people into Christianity. So no, from the first century, second century, third century, there was believers of Jesus Christ who believed that Jesus was God. And I mean the, the Bible is clear that Jesus is God 100%. So yes, we, we always say that. Give science enough time, it'll catch up to the Bible. You know, you're not going to find something that that's unbiblical, right? Everything that archeologists find are only going to support scripture. And I mean, think about Dead Sea scrolls. Only what, 80 years ago the Dead Sea Scrolls were, were found and just, I mean all. But I think one book of the, the Old Testament was, you know, manuscripts of the Old Testament were found and the, but the Dead Sea Scrolls weren't found until 1940s. So no matter how much time you give us, if people are still around on this earth in the year 3000, best believe there's still going to be new evidence being founded for God. But even speaking of evidence, you know, Hebrews 11:1 says now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. So the evidence that we have, right? Oftentimes, you know, like me before I was a believer, if I was talking to somebody, I, well, it's really one time in my life where somebody was trying to tell me about Jesus and I want nothing to do with it. I was already a couple years into my addiction. I hated God and I was like. And the couple classes that I actually took in college or criminal justice classes, so it's like, okay, you're trying to prove something to me. You have to present the burden of proof. Like, where's the evidence of this? And I was like, show me God. Like, snap your fingers and, and let Jesus Christ be, be here. But faith, there, there's evidence, right, of Jesus Christ, but oftentimes it's somewhat mysterious. And oftentimes we see the proof and existence of God through something that he did do that only he could do. Right now Jesus walked this earth claiming to be God and that it was blasphemy. That's why he was killed for it. But he, it was his works, his miracles and the things that he did that actually backed up the statements that he was making. And ultimately him resurrecting on the third day after his crucifixion, that was the ultimate mic drop. Boom, here it is. The ultimate miracle. Which was prophesied, of course, not only in the Old Testament, but he said himself that, that he would die and resurrect, right? So oftentimes it's not until after the fact that we could kind of, we have evidence after the fact that we could point back that, wait a second, that would, that could only happen by miracle, that could only happen by the supernatural. So that, that's part of what our faith is. It's not that that direct evidence in front of us. Although everything that we megiddo, Mosaic and everything that we see in scripture, there's no contradictions in scripture, despite what some people try to tell you. This guy Billy Carson, who's going viral with all sorts of blasphemous things, I mean, this guy's on Joe Rogan, he's on Patrick Bet, David, he's on Andrew Schultz podcast, he's blown up. And this guy believes that Jesus wasn't crucified. He believes that we're all gods. He believes that The Bible is 100 false. Like every bit of it. It. But then you got awesome dudes like Wesley Huff who come on and debate him and just put him in his place with actual evidence and proof that the books that this guy Billy Carson was using is, are proven to be forged. And he was mis, mis, he misspoke. He misquoted all this stuff. So thank God for guys like Wesley Huff who are historian Christian historians who do the work to actually prove that the Bible is real. But yeah, back to back, like for me myself, I didn't know much about the Bible before I got saved. I didn't want anything to do with God. Lucy came into my life. She started leading me to Jesus. I saw that God was the center of her life, Jesus Christ was the center of her life. And it made me curious. And then it was like, man, there's got to be something to this. And ultimately I surrendered to Christ and got radically transformed. And that transformation is what you're talking about why somebody like me, I will never not believe in Jesus Christ. Because even if I'd never read the Bible after that, I knew the Gospel when I got saved. Lucy had broken that down for me. She made me realize my need for a savior. Not just to get sober from my 14 year drug addiction, but when I started diving into scripture after that I was like, oh my God, this is unbelievable. Just blew my mind and just put a stamp on it that what just happened to me not only was real, but there's explanation to it. And the explanation is in the Bible. Like for me, I, I didn't know what it meant to be. I, maybe I heard a couple times when I was younger somebody was born again. And I just thought that was like this like, cult, like Christian believer of Jesus. Oh, a born again Christian, like, oh, what the heck is that? But none of us are truly Christians unless we're born again. Jesus says that in John 3. 5, right? Unless we're born again, we can't enter the kingdom. So I read stuff like that. I read Acts chapter 2, where the disciples are filled with the hol. Spirit and, and the, the, the, the description of that experience for them. And I'm like, oh my gosh, that's what I experienced that day that I surrendered to Jesus Christ. You read in Acts 9 the conversion of Paul and just a radical transformation in his life. It's like, oh my God, that's what happened to me when I said yes to the Lord. Romans 8, when it talks about the, the, the same spirit that raised Jesus from the grave now lives in us. Like I, I, I was new, I was a new creation. 2nd Corinthians 5:17. When you become a new creation, I had this piece, I've said it on this podcast even. I've said that there was just a dark cloud. When you're living in a world of addiction and you're just bound by it, you're a slave to it, you're a slave to your sin, slave to your addiction. And there's just this dark cloud that's over you, man. What? The instant I said yes to the Lord, those clouds parted. And it was like I was looking through a different lens. And this peace came over me that I never felt, no matter how high I used to get. And the drugs I was taking, nothing gave me this euphoria and this peace that this just complete. It could only be the Holy Spirit that does it. Because it's not just taking all the turmoil, anxieties, depression away, it's taking that away. But there's an additive. That's what the biblical definition of peace is. Not just taking away the turmoil, but it's the additive of the Holy Spirit and what he brings. And then John 8:36, whom the sun sets free is free indeed. Deed. I was free. Like I, I was in those chains of addiction and they just completely fell off. Not Just fell off. But you feel like you just burst through them with the power of the Holy Spirit. So I, I'm saying all this because I'm reading through scripture and it's just backing up the, the experience that I had in that first real encounter that I had with the Lord, you know, Joel 2:25, that God would restore the years the, the locusts have eaten, meaning that God will restore that which was lost to sin. And I see over the course of these years all the relationships that were broken because I. Nobody wanted to be around me when I was in my addiction, right? So all those relationships, even my health, my back, the drug addiction started from addiction to painkillers from a back injury. Just being healthy enough that I don't have to be on pain medication, I can go to the gym. I am in better shape now than I was in all of my 20s. God restores that which was lost to sickness in. And then Psalm 18:2 says, the Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. I didn't know in that moment I was delivered from that addiction, but it just blew my mind to read through scripture. And it was just like, this is me. This is what happened to me when I said yes to the Lord. So for me, even if I didn't have the Bible to go through, which explained and backed up and cosigned everything that I experienced that moment that I got saved and radically transformed, I would still be convinced. But then the Bible comes along and not comes along, but I come along and start opening the Bible and reading it and studying it and it's like, wait a second, this is more than true. Like, this can't be a made up thing because I experienced it first, then read about it. Whereas some people who maybe they don't have that God encounter, they start reading scripture, but they're not fully committed to the Lord. They haven't had that real encounter, which obviously if you're reading scripture and you don't feel close to the Lord, just keep reading scripture, right? Go to church, don't forsake the assembling of the saints. Get. Join a Bible study, join our Bible study, whatever you got to do. But that will lead you because the, the word of God is alive. It. It pierces like a two edged sword, right? So yes, that's my ra. I just get excited talking about this, man.
Yeah, brother, I love it. I love it because those, this is where we were jokingly saying the other day, man, we need to make some hats that say make miracles. Feels normal again, right? It's like because those, those, those experiences that you've had and some of you, as I mentioned before, I want to, I want to hear about those. Let us know in the chat, like what has God done in your life or maybe a loved one's life that, that you've experienced that. Hey there's, that's a, that's a fact. Like you can't take that away. Like, like Christian experience, just a radical deliverance of a 14 year drug addiction. That's amazing. And, and God still does that, wants to continually do that in people's lives today. But even for those that, that haven't had that experience, right. I think of maybe, you know, people that even grew up in the church and it's like, well, I never had the experience or I, I, I've seen stuff happen, but I don't know, is like God real for me? And if, if we go back to, to the basics of this it and the fact of just creation in itself, right? We know that God created everything. He, he spoke everything to existence. For those that believe in the Big Bang theory, this is their version of it, right? And, and atheists themselves, atheism wasn't even a thing. It was never a thing until of recent years, right? And, and it's because if you look back, even in any historical document, even outside of the Old Testament, there's always a reference to God and gods and idols. They were, they knew that there had to be a creator of some just statistically speaking. I, I love this, this statement that the odds of, of the Big Bang actually happening, right? Of, of everything happening where the, the earth is exactly placed in the universe where it is where, because if we were literally like any closer we would burn up from the sun. If we were any further away, we would be in, it'd be ice age all over again, right? The fact that we're on a 23 degree access in itself, like there is an intelligent creator, the odds of all of those things happening is a bomb going off in a library, in a freaking dictionary, popping out. It's like that's not possible. It's the odds of something like that happening and then, then human beings evolving over time genetically. Like again, that doesn't happen. A, a human being with a consciousness and science proves all of this, right? But there's still people that go down these, these rabbit holes that, you know, there's no, there's no evidence of a human being or any living organism of that sort evolving from an amoeba, right? Like that we don't, we don't change biologically in that, in that respect. So we know that there is, there is creation. And if this is like new for people, I encourage you do your own research on this. Dive into this. Another great place I haven't been to yet. Well, we've been to the, the Institute of Creation Museum. There's, there's one down in Dallas, the DFW area. It might be Fort Worth, but it's a fascinating place just to go through in. I think it's technically Kentucky, isn't it? Where the ark is, the Noah's Ark. Kentucky. Yeah. My daughter's been there, but I have not been there yet. So I really would like to go there. But they explain all of this. The thought that the earth is millions and millions of years old is not true do. Right. There's, there's plenty of, of evidence. It's not just what we read in the Bible to know the, the age of, of the earth and the age of creation, how things have have grown from there with the different sedimentary rocks because of the Flood. All of that is, is true. And, and we know that because the Bible actually states it. And, and but we do have science that can actually back it up. And so I think there's plenty of. Of. I actually read a statement. There's over, there's over 23,000 like archaeological facts that back up creation. Right. And back up God and, and this, these are you know, thousands of years, thousands of years old artifacts and things that actually back up what we, what we read in scripture now. But then it boils down to the question of is Jesus God? Right? Like is, is, is Jesus just truly God? And seeing that the Medigo Megiddo Medigo mosaic. I don't even know Megiddo.
It's where the battle of Armageddon is going to be. That's where Armageddon comes from. From that.
Ah yeah. Amazing. So that's why I keep you around brother. Keep me, keep me smart. Keep me smart. That's, that's amazing to, to see things like that again kind of more archaeological things but even outside of the Bible because when you're talking with non Christians or friends that just don't believe in the word of God that the Bible is true, they they think well it's a bunch of dudes that just made it up. And the, the reality is there are so many non Christian sources of, of self professed non Christians that actually give evidence to was who Jesus was, that he was truly man. He. He existed here on planet Earth that he suffered incredible persecution that he died a, a Roman crucifixion, specifically a Roman crucifixion on the cross, that he had followers with him. And these are all historical references in that there, that he, his tomb was empty three days later and that there's over 500 eyewitnesses of, of him that, that he rose from the dead. And, and so all of that, even if you don't have a radical experience, is, is what I'm getting to which I, I don't, I don't know if I didn't have a radical experience, but what I wanted to do is, is when I was basing my life off, off of the Bible, like I wanted to fact check this thing. Like is this, is this real? Is if, if I'm going to live my life according to what this says, I need, I need evidence because my flesh wants to do so many other things man. And, and so I, that was, that was my intent behind this. And so it was almost like I had to have some logical understanding of this and it did nothing but encourage me and bring me back to just like man. This is true whether I've had a crazy radical experience and I've absolutely been a part of some and, and seen incre. Miracles happen. But even if those didn't happen, even if the Bible was in error, it does not negate the fact that Jesus rose from the dead and that he is the Messiah, he is his Lord. And like there's plenty of evidence that backs that up. And, and that alone is like, my gosh, like what, what? Like it, it just gives us a whole new perspective, an eternal perspective of things versus just living for, for the here and now. Right? And this is where a lot of us get, get bogged down in just the day, the everyday life of the stress, the, the turmoil, maybe the, the, the striving for success, which is exactly where I was at for many years of my life. I, for those who don't know, I, I received Christ as savior of my life at the age of 16. And because it was radical for me, like I, I attended a, a New Testament church. I didn't even know what this was. I just thought everybody in my life, everybody that I grew up with was as I mentioned before, it's like I didn't, they weren't any different than how I was, what I was doing on the weekends, right? They weren't any different. And then the ones that, that were, they were broke, broken and defeated man. And I was like, I don't want any of that in my life. Like, I, there was, there was no fruit of, of what they, what they would, would claim or what they would declare. And so I kind of, I didn't. I just ran from it, right? And it was like, whatever. Yeah, I mean, I'll figure that out at some point. But at the age of 16, man, I, I lived up here in, in the, the Twin Cities where we are now for like six weeks just because I was in utter chaos in, in my personal life and I had an experience and I was like, this is, this is, this is wild. And, and I. That you couldn't tell me at that point that there wasn't a, a God, there wasn't a Creator. And as I continued to pursue what I, what you would call success, right? Of what the world would call success, I, I found myself being more influenced upon versus vice. And I went, you know, a solid 10 years of just like doing what I wanted, when I wanted, where I wanted, with who I wanted, how I wanted. And that, that was like what I thought was success. And it came down to just like, man, no matter what, what business I built, no matter what toy I would buy, no matter where I would go, I just still felt like this feeling of like complete unfulfillment in my life. It's like, man, it, there's gotta be something more. And that's really only been about five years now. And, and when also, you know, through all those circumstances, I got to meet Christian and really started to dive into the word of God and, and then started even questioning the word of God. Like, is that, is that real? Like, can this actually, should this be real if I'm gonna base my life on it again, I, I gotta know. I gotta know like, is this, is this truth? Because I started to question, like, dude, there's, there's thousands of years have passed. There's been multiple translations that have passed. Like, can I really rely on tells me, because it seems, as you mentioned, there's contradictions. It seems like, wait a minute, God killed people. I see that we're supposed to hate our mother or, or you know, our kids to fully follow him. And I'm like, what in the world is going on here? And it really takes the ability to dive into the root words of these. If, if you're reading the New Testament, like what is the original, like Greek word of that? Because it's easy just to gloss over it. And some of us go through these one year reading plans where we're just reading the Bible, but we're not ruminating on it. We're not digesting it, meditating on it. Because that was the very first place I went to. I was like, because I pretty much built my life on, I'm going to be successful, I want to be successful. And. And I had a view of what that was. So that was like the first thing that I looked up like, is success in the Bible or because I built this mindset of, of man. Everybody that I knew was a Christian, as I mentioned, was broke, broken and defeated. And to me, that wasn't success. So I was like, is this even possible? Can I go make money? Can I create wealth and build businesses and do it for the glory of God? Like, is, is that real? And it brought me to Joshua, right? And it clearly, it laid out the plan like, this is how you are prosperous and this is how you are successful, is you meditate, Meditate on the book of the law. Do not let it depart from your lips so that you may do what it says. And that's when I was like, that ain't too hard. I can do that. And that's what I did. And as I meditated on the book of the law, meaning the first five books in the Old Testament, and started to realize Genesis, man just came alive to me. Came alive. For those in our, our business coaching side of things, like we, we, we've, we've had template of creation on like man, God gave us a template of how to create, right? How to actually how he created. Everything that we see there is a biblical template of how to do that. And in so many times throughout Scripture, you can see the laws, the principles that are in place based upon our incredible creator. And that was like the experience, the radicalness that I actually took place, it wasn't like, bam, you're delivered. But no, it was that this, as I've mentioned before, this sanctification process here, to the point where it's like, I, you can't tell me, you can't tell me there's not a God. You can't tell me that Jesus is not Lord and Savior. He is the risen Messiah. And we as Christians, when we have that realization, sometimes it just comes to that, like, we've got to, we got to think about why we think we need to audit our thoughts. And when we overlay those with what the Word of God says is, you may not agree with some of it, right? Most of it probably, like your flesh does not want that. But if we commit to that and we, we become obedient to what this thing says, the Bible itself is not a book about religion. It is not a book about rules. It is not a book about do's and don'ts. It is a template. Is a, is a, is a. Think of a playbook on how life will go well for you. Right? I thought the 10 command commandments, man, was like, like rules and regulations. It's like, well, this is all the stuff I can't do. I like to have fun. I. I didn't think I could be a full, like blood bought believer and actually have fun in this life. And I was radically transformed in that my life has not been more fun than it has been just in the last few years that I've committed to this thing of like, man, Jesus is love, Lord. And, and now it's just, it's a, it's a transformation that we have to go through. Right? Somebody can't do it. Your pastor can't do it for you. It's, it's. It's something that God wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with you. But it's going to take work on your part. We are to work out our salvation with that fear and trembling. And if you commit to that, I promise you, you will, you will not be disappointed.
Yeah. Amen. When you were saying that the, the fulfillment that you got the satisfaction, right, that, that you finally had. Yes. You can't.
No. You know that song Rolling Stones, right? No. Satisfaction. I won't, I won't sing. I know. It's.
You know, my brother in law went to a Rolling Stones concert like a couple months ago at MetLife Stadium and he's. That dude's like 80 years old still. Run. He showed us like a video from him. I can't believe he's still.
How is he alive, period, with all the drugs? Here's how it is. They went, they went from injecting heroin and all sorts of other things to injecting stem cells and exosomes and all the good stuff, bro. Like that's, that's how they're doing it.
Okay, I got you, I got you. But when you were talking, you were drinking out of the world's wells, right? The things that the world said would satisfy you. But in John for John, chapter four, Jesus has this encounter the woman at the well, right? The Samaritan woman. And he says in verse 13, Jesus answered and said to her, whoever drinks of this water will thirst again. The. The water of the world. The wells of the world.
Y.
But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will Become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. So when we start drinking from the well of living water, which is Jesus himself, we will never thirst again. We won't have a thirst. That's why I'm not going to have a thirst or hunger or craving for drugs again, because have. I'm drinking from the, the well of living water with which completely satisfies, completely quenches my thirst, my, My fulfillment. Right? Any hole that you have in your heart, Jesus will satisfy that. I want to make note because as you're talking, mind commander put in the chat that in his 20s he was drunk and depressed, had a shotgun in his hand, and it just fell apart in his hand, right? So, so God finds a way to get to us. And Luke 19, it says that Jesus, he didn't just come to save the life lost, but he came to seek and save the lost. Jesus is after every last one of our hearts, every last one of us. And oftentimes it's not until we're in situations like that we're at the end of our rope, free put in there. It wasn't until a, a loved one passed away a couple years ago that he surrendered to Jesus, right? So oftentimes we'll, we'll blame God for bad things that happen in our life, but oftentimes God will allow those things to happen to get our attention. Attention so that we may get on our knees, become desperate and desperate for something other than what we've been chasing after our whole life. And I, I want to get into this briefly, if we can. In Luke 14, there's this parable of the Great Supper, right? And it's very relevant to us today because you talk about the busyness of life. You know, we're on here, we're talking about drone stuff that's happening currently events. And that's great to, to. To be informed of things that's going on, to also look at them through a biblical perspective. But oftentimes we get so caught up in the busyness of life that we forsake our place in the kingdom, right? And that this parable, I'll read it briefly, Roy, if you even throw it on the screen, starting in chapter, chapter 14, verse 15, says, now when one of those who sat at the table with him heard these things, he said to him, bless is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God. Then he, Jesus, said to him, a certain man gave a great supper, invited many, and sent his servant at suppertime to say to those who were Invited come, for all things are now ready. And what he's basically saying is that entrance to the kingdom is ready. It's your faith in me and you will be in the kingdom, you will live everlasting. But they all with one accord began to make excuses and think about that. I mean, when you read that in scripture, tell me that doesn't convict you. How many times do you make excuses as to why you can't get to church? Can't just spend five minutes in prayer in the morning. Open your Bible. The first said to him, I've bought a piece of ground and I must go see it. I asked, I asked you that you have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen and I am going to test them. I asked for you to have me excused. Now these are good things. This is the, the point of this parable is not busyness. It's not like just going out and committing sinful habits, relax and living a sinful life lifestyle. These are good things that are happening in these guys lives. And the third guy, it's kind of funny, he says, I have married a wife and therefore I cannot come. It's like, enough said, I got this all, all ball and chain. I, I can't get out, I'm married. I don't have time for anybody else but this old ball and chain. And, and so the servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind. Ever notice that oftentimes people who, who enter the kingdom of God who get saved are these people are in down and out situations. And the servant said, master, it is done as you commanded. And still there is room. Now that's alarming too. It's like man, I went out, I, I, I went out and told all the people, you're invited to the kingdom, you're invited into the house of the Lord, but there's still plenty of room. That means there's not a lot of people that are getting in here. There's so many people that are just caught up in the busyness of life that they're, they're forsaking their, their entrance into the kingdom. And then this is what the master says. It says the master said to the servant, go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in so that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of Those men who are invited shall taste my supper. It's like, oh, my gosh. Those original guys who were invited to taste Jesus's supper, to come in and sup with them. That's what it says in Revelation, right? Jesus knocks on the door at the house and God, oh, so desires that we open the doors of our heart and come in and allow him to sup with us. That's. That's the word in the King James. And that just means fellowship. Have an intimate fellowship with him. And all these people were originally invited. It's like, no, they're. They're not coming in, but God finds a way. And that, that, that mind commander, that. Not that my commander, but that comment by my commander when he, when he, he said a shotgun, like he's ready to kill himself. Drunk, depressed, ready to kill himself. That was a situation that God worked for good. To compel him to believe more in Jesus, to compel him to surrender, right? And I, I think it's so fascinating that, you know, with Free, he lost a family member, but that's what it took to compel him to say yes to Jesus and enter the kingdom. So oftentimes people will say, well, why does God let bad things happen to good people? Well, first of all, to be, you know, dogmatic about it, if you will, or just literal about it. But none of us are good, right? We're all inherently wicked. Our hearts are wicked. So none of us, us are good because the only good that exists is Jesus, and he was perfect. So if that's what's actually good, then we all fall short of that, right? We all fall short of the glory of God. We, we all sin. And the penalty for sin is death. But God will compel us. And I, I mentioned this to you. Scott had actually asked if I saw the new Jamie Foxx special on Netflix that it was called what had Happened. And obviously Jamie Foxx, he had this health scare and he just kind of disappeared. Then when he started to show up places, people thought it was a clone of him. People thought he was dead. People didn't know what the heck happened to him. So I watched it, and I don't necessarily want to promote it because there is foul language. There is some crude humor in there. But it's very interesting for, like, a comedy special because it's like testimonial Tony mixed with like, real tears where he, he couldn't stop crying with crude humor, right? It's still Jamie Foxx. And, you know, maybe some of that crudeness will, will dissolve or go away if he's really walking with the Lord now. But what's interesting, this Jamie Foxx special, he talks about how April of last year he had the splitting headache. He was in Atlanta doing something for work and they took him to a doctor. The doctor gave him a cortisone shot and took. Tell them, tell him to go about his way. Which is just crazy, like medical world, right? So he, he was just in agony. He was starting to like be out of it. And his sister threw him in a car, started driving around Atlanta not knowing where she's going. She sees this building and she said, there's angels in that building. And it was a hospital that wound up saving Jamie's life. He suffered a, a stroke. And in this special, it's, it's crazy because you know, Jamie based on having a sister who believes in Jesus and could just feel the presence of angels or just know that God's directing her to take him to this hospital. When you have family members in your lives, these are, these are the seeds that you're spreading at all times that maybe it's those seeds plus a wake up call, like a stroke that, that gets you to the Lord. But he goes, I mean he winds up being in this coma for like 23 days. And Jamie actually talked about this, that he believed that it was a blessing from God that this coma that, that he was in and it woke him up. And he talked about how he had an ego. He was like, I'm Jamie mother effing Fox, right? This doesn't happen to me. But then he kind of tears up and he says, why is this happening to me? What you see all these bad people down here, here. And why would you allow my kids to see me like this? And he said, you heard God tell him, look at what I had to see my son do for you. And so it's very, like I say, a lot of crude humor mixed in with this like real testimony that he, he's, he, he's literally can't stop crying at times on this thing. But he mentions his 14 year old daughter when he was just, you know, getting up and about. He talks about like he, he was for the most part had to relear to walk, talk everything and he didn't want his 14 year old daughter to see him in the hospital. But one morning, which I can't even like imagine that, like staying away from your kids that long because you're in that bad of shape, like I'd want my family around me to help, help me through it. Sure but it's 14. He woke up to his 14 year old daughter who always, since she was a kid, walked around with the guitar, she started playing the guitar and he said that he, he felt, he said it was a spiritual defibrillation later where he just felt the presence of God coming through those chords that were being played on the guitar and all these little things, like God took something that was so bad, right. The stroke as a, as a wake up call. But that's what compelled him to now seek God. Now all these things that maybe you weren't putting the puzzle pieces together. This was actually a providential God working, working through like our human history, our real lives now to turn you to him. And that's all God wants to do. Because no matter how bad Jamie Foxx's life is on this earth from now on. And he's made a great recovery, like he's good. But my mother, she had a stroke in 2019 and she was in rehabs and nursing homes until she passed away last year. But for my mother, that was what compelled her to cry out to Jesus for the first time in her life at 74 years old. Right. So God will use these things in our lives to compel us, us, God. God will allow bad things? Yes. Dare I say, God will allow bad things to happen to us, to get our attention 1000%. That's why I can't, I don't ever want to say, like, I regret taking that first painkiller that led to a 14 year drug addiction. No. Because what if I had a good life, a good cushy life and I was just busy with life and I was going to check on my oxen and I bought this piece of land and I was spending time with my wife and kids, but I was free, forsaken Jesus in it all, all these people who live comfortable lives. That's why the church here in the west, in America, why we suck, because it's part of our culture. We're so comfortable, right? And the church, I mean us as people call themselves Christians today, we suck because we're so comfortable in life here in America, which is great. My prayer quickly after I got saved was God, help me to live a blessed life, life like I, I want things, I, I want to have financial security, I, I want to provide for my family, I, I want a big house, I, I want those things. But help me to have those things while being 100 dependent on you at the same time, never taking my eyes off of you. And a lot of people can't do that. And, and that's why a lot of God won't allow a lot of people to get their hands on too much money because they know what it'll do. It'll be a big distraction. It'll become an idol in their lives and they'll start forsaking Jesus. So can we as Christians be rich and have ton of wealth? 100%. We teach on that, we coach on that. We can. And God has called people to that. But God knows us better than we know ourselves. And there's some people where he's going to say, wait a second, you're going to take, if I, if I give you this blessing, you're going to take your eyes off of me and I'm going to actually block that blessing so you stay dependent on me. So God, hear me now. Please help me to be that Christian that has an abundance but uses it all for the king, kingdom and for God's glory, while staying 100 dependent as if I was at the end of my rope, desperate, like that day I cried out to Jesus in October 2011.
Yes. So good man. What is. Oh, man, I'm gonna, I'm gonna butcher this now. It's like we are to pray as if, like, you know, our life is dependent upon it, but we're to, to live our life like, act as if it is dependent on us. Like, so, I mean, God has called us to, to excellence, right? And this is where the other side of this spectrum where Christians that just sit back and they, they consent to a lot of things and they allow things to happen that are truly evil in their, in their sphere of influence, and they're not, they're not representing the kingdom in that area as well. And so this is. But when you take this on, it's an eternal mindset. It's like, hey, we know we're going to be persecuted. We know that. That's, that's part of the, that's part of the process, baby. That's like when, when you, when you take this, this identity, that's what a lot of this comes boils down to is when your identity is in Christ. When we pray his kingdom come, right? It means his, his rule and reign. King Jesus is king. And the suffix of what that word is domain, right? It's. So it's a, it's a territory. It's, it's an area in which he rules and reigns, meaning his kingdom come here and now on earth as it is in heaven, right? So as, as representatives, as ambassadors for Christ. This is part of Our, our job, this is part of our duty to, to walk in the kingdom, right? To have his rule and reign in our individual lives, in our households, in our places of work, in our businesses. And that's the ripple effect that we can have here as followers of Jesus Christ. And, and that's our, our heart again behind this show is to bring, bring, bring what's going on in the world, but to a biblical perspective. Like what? Why don't we have to get stressed and worried and freaked out about things? It's when you take this eternal mindset on that, okay, what happens now, as Christian mentioned earlier, is just a vapor, it's a mist. What, where. How is this going to impact eternity? How is this going to affect what I have going on? Not just right here and now, but, but those in future generations, right? For us to, whether it's our kids, maybe our grandkids, what are the decisions that I'm going to make now? What is going to be the eternal impact on that versus just the ease of life, the comfortability of life that we experience or we think we strive for. Because at the end of the day, God, we're never promised an easy life. We're never promised a comfortable life. And I would argue even if you're feeling a little comfortable, comfortable, you're probably, you're probably on the sidelines here, right? And this is this tension that, that we get to live out here and now, right? Because Satan claims, claims domain to the, the earth realm right now. Like that's, that's we know. And it was something that man in the fall of Adam and Eve, right? The fall, we, we gave it to him, right? So he claims domain. This is why we do see the, the wicked and the wealthy ruling, healing, right? But when we receive Christ as savior and, and to do that is very, very simple. You don't have to go to church to do that. You don't have to to. It doesn't have to be a big spectacle. It can literally be you driving in your car right now, sitting in your place at work right now and you just starting to talk with them. It doesn't, it's not a, there's no place in, in scripture where we read about a sinner's prayer. That's an institutional church thing that's been made up. It literally is, is a personal relationship with you in which you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, right? But then you repent. And to repent means that you're going to take on a new mind, a new way of thinking. Of things. And the only way that you do that is you, you can continue to confess to him and you spend time in his word, right? And when you start to spend more and more time in his, in the Word of God and surround yourselves, right, Become, get to see discipled by somebody that's maybe been there before you or gone there before you listen to shows like this other. There's plenty of resources out there that you can get involved in a community that will help to walk you through this new way of thinking this, this transformational process that again, it might not be a radical experience for some of you. It might, right? And it's, it's. It's. This is what God is going to do in, in you, with you and ultimately through you to have that eternal impact. But it starts with, with you, right? If you, if you got a family of addiction and it's. It's that way because it's always been that way. It can end today. It can end today the moment that you confess and the moment you, you. You just repent and that God, I need you, right? Because none of us are enough. None of us are enough to, to. To make any lasting change, right? None of us are enough. The, the. The. The desire and the need, as even Christian mentioned, it's like for, for us to go through these hard hardships, these times where it's like man, I don't, I don't know how I can even go on. Like that's right where God wants you, right? Because when we, when we become solely dependent, solely just relying on him for, for everything, right? That's right where he wants us. Whether you have a fat bank account or you got a negative bank account, right? And believe me, and part of this process too is, is when you, when you make this decision, it isn't going to get easier, right? And, and it, but it's going to be worth it. Every single step of the way God has had to mold me and, and transform me in ways that I didn't even know I had to. Had to go through. But I promise you, if you find community and you. And you stay true to the word and you start to spend time in it and actually study it, right? Don't just gloss over things, but actually spend time and study it, transformation will actually take place in your life. And man, it's is fun. It is fun. Can I get an amen with that?
Amen. Somebody type amen in the chat. Amen. Jesus is good. I want to address a couple comments in the chat. There's a Couple about finding it hard to reconcile when things do happen to like innocent babies when they die or if somebody has a miscarriage, something like that. Well, it's hard to obviously think of things from God's perspective on things, but do do your best to look at it from God's perspective. We had a miscarry. We had two miscarriages before we had our son Ezra. And it was devastating for us, but ultimately it led us closer to Jesus. Now, I don't know if those two babies would have grown up and walk with Jesus or not, but Jesus and God the father, they're omniscient, right? And Lucy has actually prayed this prayer, which kind of freaked me out when she first told me she was praying about this for our other kids, right? Because we have four older kids that from Lucy's first marriage. So she was actually praying for the kids like before they were at that point of like accountability. And the Bible doesn't say what that is, but you don't know what you don't know. And once a child, it could be as early as four or five for some. Maybe it's not, you know, if you have a mental defect or something, it's not till later on in life, but the point where you actually hear the gospel, understand the gospel, gospel, and now you're accountable for it, right? What's the decision you make with the, the information you have? And maybe those two babies that, that miscarried, maybe they weren't going to walk with the Lord. Lucy actually prayed that God, if my kids don't choose, you, take them from me before they have that opportunity to say no. Which kind of like spooked me when, when I heard her say that. But then the more I think about, it's like, yes, right. And I'm not saying that anybody on here has lost a child, lost a baby, that all. Ultimately they would have rejected the Lord, but that could be the case. And God was actually sparing that child from everlasting torment in the lake of fire rather than being in heaven with him. And scripturally, look at the Canaanites and the Amalekites, right, that, you know, the, the men of God were instructed to take out all the children and like everybody, the, the whole people group. And why would God allow something like that? Well, well, when this people group who God knows, they're never going to turn to God, they're actually going to be sacrificing their own babies as a form of worship to their pagan gods. That if. Does it sound like savage for God to take out babies and children of that people group. Yes. But if that means that those babies and children will be in heaven and more people from that group, which are all going to be hellbound, ultimately won't reproduce, then that's an act of grace and mercy. So it, it's, it's, I mean, I'm just throwing that in here. At the end, we have a whole conversation about it. Obviously it's hard for people to reconcile and I understand that. But for me, I, I just told you about going to Ezzy's play last night and how proud I am and see him grow. He's four and a half years old and you just see how much potential is in him. You see his character. You see, like he loves scripture, he loves praying, he loves talking about Jesus. All this stuff is phenomenal. But if, if he winds up rejecting the Lord and never walking with him and being in hell for all of eternity, like that's a struggle for me to say that God, take him now, but then that's me. That's about me. Because I'm going to miss my son. Right? But if I, if I knew for a fact that he wasn't going to choose Jesus, that would have to be the decision I made. Because we said a couple of times, life on this, this earth is but a vapor. It's here today, gone tomorrow. We're a blip on the radar on the time of eternity. Eternity. So if I know that if he's gone today and I see him in heaven, as opposed to, hey, I live to be 90 and he's visiting me, wiping my butt when I'm old, but he's not walking with the Lord and I'm not going to be with him in heaven all for all of eternity, then, yeah, that would have to be a prayer that I pray. Take him now, Lord.
Yep. Yeah. And if he doesn't have to wipe your butt too, that's a blessing in disguise. So.
Yeah, God's not going to take him out. Just spare from that.

EZ's been falling in love. I've been, I love playing Christmas carols this time of year. So when I take him to school, back from school, we're playing Christmas songs. My favorite being the Drifters. White Christmas, an oldie but goodie. My, I used to listen to that with my father. You don't know that one?
Did you know I don't know that? Come on.
Oh, you know, dream making me have to.
Okay.
To show off this horrible voice of mine. But anyhow, lose Lucy. She's like, babe, can you please play a Christmas song that talks about Christ? I said, babe, if the word Christmas is in it, it's talking about Christ, baby. We're covered.
