All right, all right. How we doing, everybody? Welcome back to the King's Council live, where we have unfiltered conversations. We're diving into politics, we're diving into culture. But we do this from a kingdom perspective. We do this ultimately to transform culture, to impact lives. And today we got an epic show for you guys. Stay tuned. We got an incredible testimony we are going to dive into with one of our very own. Some of you guys maybe know stand up now apparel, but. But also, there's a lot going on in the world today. A lot going on in the news. Biden. Biden pardons Hunter. What's going on? Come on. And who's next? Is it gonna be Fauci? We got a lot to talk about today, but we're gonna do this again from a biblical perspective. But first off, what's happening, man? We are in the same room today.
Yeah, it's been a while. We. I picked you up from the airport. I said, I think this is the longest stretch we've had in the four years we've been doing life together that we haven't been apart. It's only been like four weeks, but I think it's the longest stretch. And I do suffer from separation anxiety when I'm apart from my wife, but also from you in a very hetero, heterosexual type of way.
Yes.
Let's be clear on that. It's like, what's the movie Stuck on you? Stuck on me?
I don't watch movies like that. Okay.
He doesn't watch movies.
Sounds like a chick flick. I don't know.
Come on.
Come on.
I don't think I actually saw it, but it was like two dudes that were, like, attached like this, so.
Oh, okay. Yeah. And I just want for everybody watching right now on Rumble, get in the chat right now. Tell us what you think, especially of Riley's arms, because he was over there doing push ups about 10 minutes ago.
Yeah.
And I was like, I'm gonna let. His arms are already bigger than mine. So I was like, now I gotta get down and do a couple push ups.
Your waist is bigger than mine, so I don't know.
I don't know.
Oh, come on. Come on.
I lost a few pounds.
You actually have.
I lost. I'm proportional. Lucy. Lucy likes to remind me that I'm proportional whenever I have a complaint about anything. And I don't have complained about what many of you may be thinking about complaint. Neither does my wife. But let's not get into that today. That's not what this episode is about.
Right, right, right, right. Yes.
You were talking about all that's going on in the news, but I think I want to pick your brain and just see how you feel because what's going on in your life more in particular the. The health of your father.
Yeah.
And you shared some good news with me a couple days ago. So share that. And obviously not just so people could know about your father's health, but know about the God we serve.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Praise the Lord of you.
If you.
For those of you that are new to the King's council and really, you know what we're all about. First off, Jesus is king. Can I see that in the chat? He is king of kings, Lord of Lords. And when we talk about the King's council, Jesus is king. And we view this as like, hey, we're sitting on the council. We are, we are willing to stand for truth. That's why, why we are so aligned with Graham in, in the Dear America Network. Here is, is we want to stand for truth. And we do this from a very biblical perspective. Right. Like, we want to see everything that's is about. Is going to continue to be about is, hey, what is the eternal perspective of this? Not just the worldview of this. And you know, one of the things that we start. We do, we've done a lot of coaching calls over the past few years for entrepreneurs and we always like to talk about praise reports. And so I think we're going to make this even more of a normal thing where we would love to hear from you guys, like, hey, what has God been doing? Because we know miracles are a very real thing. We want to make miracles great again.
Right.
Make. Make them normal again. And, and a lot of us are walking through junk and we're praying for breakthrough and, and we wanted to share that with you guys and want you guys to share that with us as well, because it's not. It's not braggadocious on us, but it's. It's braggadocious on our Creator that he can still move mountains right by. By speaking to them. Like, he can still do the crazy things that we read about in scripture, but they still happen today. And a lot of us are. We're crying out for that. We're praying for that and standing in the gap for that. And, you know, one thing just with my Father's. We're still, we're not through it by any means, but he's had some health issues going on. And part of the initial report came back that it was like, it was very Positive news because it wasn't looking good for quite some time. And so we have a follow up phone call with, with the doctor here on Monday of this next week as well. But so far so good. And it's just amazing to, to see that, you know what God, even if we're in like in the junk, in the turmoil, that it's like we still know that God uses that for good somehow some way he's either this process, if you, if you've committed your life to Jesus as Lord, from there it's about sanctification. Right. And it's like, okay, you, you, you've been set apart. Right. By his redemption. Right. But now it's it us to continue to grow closer and closer to him each and every day. Yeah. So would love to hear and see some of your guys praise reports even for those with Graham's channel. He mentions a lot. He reads super chats afterwards. So if you have any praise reports and want to share with us, throw it in, do a super chat for us and we'll talk about it here at the end of today's show before we log on off here because we want to hear these. We want to know what is God doing in people's lives today also. Praise report. I'm out of Facebook jail, baby.
Is that really a praise report though? Well, do you really want to be at a Facebook?
Partly. I was kind of like, I don't even want to be on that dang thing anymore. Yeah. But it's wild. We, we do a Bible study every Wednesday for those that don't know Wednesday, 7am Central Standard Time. We used to be 8, but we know Graham show goes on at 8 and we want to make it available to you guys. So 7am Central Standard Time. Kingscouncilbiblestudy.com let's see if Facebook kicks us off because I literally post that this is the, I believe this is the third time now that this has actually happened. So maybe it is the three strikes you're out rule with them where they've removed it. And I literally just put kingscouncilebiblestudy.com and it was removed. I didn't say anything, didn't do anything. I didn't even put music to it, dude. It was just. Kingscouncilbiblestudy.com it was removed. We did another post about it. It was removed and then my account was locked down and I had to like go through the whole chain of commands of like admitting that according to their guidelines that that was somehow like deceptive and you know, sharing fake news. But it ain't fake, baby. It's true.
It's truth.
It's truth. And we are going to continue to fight the fight Occupy until he comes. And Royce just pulled up. Join kingscouncil.com that's where you guys can find out more about what we're doing and just get out even our email list. I promise we don't spam you. We don't send out a bunch of junk. You're just going to be notified of the upcoming zoom calls. And our Bible study is an actual zoom because we, we interact with you in. This last week was awesome. We just talked about the evidence for creation. This next week we're going to be talking about is Jesus actually God? Right. So some of you that may even be on the fence right now, we really want to invite you onto that because not only is there biblical evidence, but there is non Christian, multiple resources and sources of evidence that Jesus claimed to be God. He died on the cross and he actually rose from the dead. And we're going to reference back and forth on those. So we would love to have you guys be a part of it or even join your other friends, family members that may even be questioning it because this is, it's a fun atmosphere. We want to invite you into this process and walk through this thing together.
Yeah, somebody just put in the chat. Jesus is not misinformation. Isn't it funny? The one who, who is the truth.
Yes, we.
We just say anything about Jesus and oh, that's misinformation.
Right?
That's just tells you where we are. But back to prai sports and this is perfect segue into our guest because part of why we're having them. Not only does he have an awesome brand. Stand up now. Apparel. My hat's supposed to be coming today. Gerard. My hat's coming today. I was hoping it was here for the episode, man. I'm looking forward to it. But it's coming today. He's got an amazing testimony. We met him earlier in the summer at an event and at the Believers Summit, the Believer Summit from Turning Point. And whenever I hear a testimony man, that I. I'm such an advocate of testimonies. If you've been born again, if you are a believer of Jesus Christ, if you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you, you have a testimony. Don't compare it to other radical testimonies like the one you're going to hear from Gerard here. It's a, it's an unbelievable Radical testimony. But if you were in darkness and have come to light, if you were blind and now you see, that is a radical transformation and a radical testimony. And back to your father's praise report, his health report. It's remarkable when doctors say, yeah, well, that was there. Court said this, the X rays, the scans, the test said this, and now it's not there. And when, when you told me this, I was excited, but this is something that we've been praying for. You in particular, praying with your daughter Ellie, your family, praying for your father. But there was still a measure of like. Oh, oh, oh, wow. Almost like a little bit of surprise.
Yeah.
And I was disappointed in myself because when God actually performs these miracles, they should be no surprise, especially to us in the kingdom. Yeah, they shouldn't. But because we so see so few mirac today because I, I mean we are in the kingdom, right? And it's our job as believers to allow heaven to touch earth. We. We infiltrate this earth with our heavenly kingdom through the Holy Spirit that lives within us. And I was like disappointed in myself. And I got to pondering like, man, if we. That that's actually lack of faith, right? But if I was surprised at all, I didn't have the, the hope and expectation and anticipation of God doing what I know he could do. So I was disappointed in myself, but led me to my prayer closet and realized that I, you know, I need to increase my faith. And it was a way that God helped me to increase my faith. But even a couple weeks ago, when my back goes out every once in a while, those of you who know me, old basketball injury, my spine is fused now. I was laid up for a couple days and I got up in the middle of the night to, to pee and I could barely get out of bed. And I woke up in the morning, I just kind of like popped right up and my back was good. And when I, I got up, Lucy looked at me, she says, how's your back? I said, it's surprisingly good right now. I said, why do you ask? Right. Because it's kind of weird the way she asked me. She said, well, the Lord woke me up a couple hours ago and said, pray for your husband's back. And I laid hands on you and prayed for you. And she, with full expectation, knew that I would jump up in the morning and be healed. And thank God. Praise God. Does anybody have a praying wife or if you're a woman, a praying husband? Just put like, like the praise God emoji. Yeah, ye. Put this, put this emoji in the chat, if you have a praying spouse that covers you and your family, that, that there's nothing more powerful than that. But it's like again, even with that it was like, I know God could do it. But I was like, but he actually did. Yeah, you know, he actually did. And I want to live my life here. We all as the church should live our lives in full expectations where we're shocked if God doesn't do it. Yeah, right.
Yes.
But.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
We're talking too much. We got amazing guests. What we do that's about to join us. As I mentioned, we, we met Gerard earlier in the summer. I heard his testimony. It rocked me. I know it's going to rock you guys. And he's the owner, owner and founder of stand up now apparel.com. we've been promoting this brand for the last couple weeks, giving you guys discount code king at checkout for savings. That's just for you guys, just for our listeners. So make sure you go to Stand up now, but don't do it quite yet. Listen to this testimony and I, Gerard, I want to kind of just, just let you run with this, this because I know like the T shirt brand and company, like Disney World kind of played a factor in, in this. And then you, you made a video on Instagram at Target just showing all the rainbows on the kids clothes and that went viral and it kind of took off. But your heart behind it was how God really captured your heart right before all that. So Gerard, welcome to the show, brother.
Thanks. Yeah, thanks for having me on, guys. It's an honor and a privilege.
Thanks for being here, brother.
Yeah, thanks. I'm glad to be able to be here and to share my testimony and to share about the brand. Like you said, the. It started the brand just as me making a statement as a father for something I know to be biblical truth. God made man and woman. Like that's biblical truth. As much as society and culture wants to tell us otherwise, we know what the word of God says, says and what we, you know, what we need to stand on express. So that's where it started from for sure. But if it wasn't for my core belief and my faith in God, I wouldn't have had the intention of making that shirt, you know, for everything that he's done and transpired in my life. And so that's why I'm putting this, come on and share this testimony for other people to see it and hear it too.
Yeah, brother, but you haven't always had this, this core belief, this, this faith in God, this is something that is. Has been a complete transformation. So take us back to give us a little bit of your story, man. And then we want to. I think we even have the, the target video. We want to share that with the audience here. But let's, let's give them the. The pre Jesus Gerard in how you got to this actual point, man.
Yeah, for sure. So, yeah, growing up. I grew up in a household where there wasn't any faith. Parents were divorced at a very early age. My mother's from. My mother's Jewish. My father was Christian, but they separated early age. I grew up in a household with a stepfather who was atheist. No faith in my household. Didn't really have a role model in my household to look up to. So I looked into the culture in the world, and that was success, money. And that led me being empty, to seeking out a life of drugs, selling drugs, using drugs. So at 15 years old, I moved out on my own because I was man enough to provide for myself better than with the environment I was in. That led to selling drugs. At 19 years old, I'm faced with 35 years of trafficking cocaine and ecstasy, armed trafficking. I mean, literally the whole world hit me because everything that I thought I was chasing and I wanted, you know, money, drugs, success, fame, cars, everything the world tells you you need to have to be something today. Now I'm gone, empty. Sitting in a prison cell, facing 35 years in reality hit me like a ton of bricks. And it was at that time that I picked up the Bible for the first time. And I was hesitant to, because people always talk about, you know, jailhouse religion. Oh, you don't just want jailhouse religion. My thing was, is I looked around and I said, is this really what this is all about? Is this what God created me for? And I remember going back as early as like 10 or 11 years old, looking at myself in the mirror because I didn't have love in my household and questioning if I killed myself, would that matter? You know, does anybody really love me? And there was something that stopped me at that point. I know that's God, even though at that time I didn't know that that was God, but that's God's hand on your life throughout everything. So as 19, facing 35 years in prison, I open up the Bible for the first time. And so many things just hit me as truth, as I was like, wow, that's where that comes from. Like, I was actually going through a legal thing called a legal Search and seizure. Fruit of the poisonous tree. There's a clause in the law regarding your amendments where if they, your, your body gets, if they find something illegally on you and they, you know, try to take those goods or means and it's illegal. It's called fruit of the poisonous tree because they could never have started to interact with you from the beginning. So as I'm dealing with that in a court case and I'm reading the Bible, literally of it starts from the fruit of the poisonous tree. It really just grabbed my attention. So, you know, I dive into that. I really start seeking the Word and still questioning, you know, to be honest with you, I still really wasn't sure because I've always been the type of person to question, you know, like, is this truth? There's so many different religions, so many different things, why is this true? And you know, I went, I ended up not getting sentenced to 35 years. I got sentenced to 10 years in prison. Miraculously, that was dropped down to five years in prison. And at this time I'm really like gonna change my life. As I get ready to go into prison, I had an older gentleman because I believe that God speaks to us through so many people in our life. I really, there's angels among us. I believe there's signs all around us, but it's. Are we willing to see it and hear it? So as I'm going into prison, I had an older gentleman tell me, you're going to look around you and you got two choices. You can allow this to make you bitter or to make you better. And that real choice is up to yours. Just like the free will that God gives us, are we choosing to follow him or are we choosing not to? And I decided to make it better. So as I went through that journey really seeking him out, I really dived into the Word and really started to understand and everything. But there still was really not this like radical transformation. It was like this constant work that I had to go after and had to seek for. But really the part of me that really God spoke to me, literally spoke to me, is when I get to a point after in my five years of prison, I'm just about to get out. I get, get to a work release situation where, you know, you're about, you're in the community, you're going to be able to do some positive, you can get out real world clothes. And as I get there, I start having this pain in my side. Turns out I go to the hospital and turns out I'm diagnosed with stage Four Leukemia. Yeah, that. When that happened, it. And I say it so easily now, and I know I want to slow down on that because I know so many people are out there. And you were mentioned, Riley, before about, like, diseases and different things that we're all faced with. And that's when we question, like, is God real? Like, why would these things happen? You know, it talks about, and I think it's Isaiah where it says that things are going to have suffering is going to happen, you know, but it's through Christ and God and everything that he sees us through it and everything's for his purpose in his plan. We don't even realize it at that time, you know, but as I'm in the hospital, diagnosed with stage four leukemia, questioning, like, God, why is this happening to me? I remember saying that I had two blood transfusions. My body starts shaking uncontrollably. I'm laying on the hospital bed, and I just remembered to breathe and focus on my breath. And as I did, God spoke to me clear as day. He said, trust in me. No weapon formed against you will ever prosper. I've never let any harm come to you. Trust in me. You don't have cancer. Follow the process. And those words were clear as day to me. And I woke up and there was like a peace around me that only he could give. Only he could give the peace that passes all understanding, right? And there's flowers sitting in my hospital room. Now I'm in prison, right? I'm in a hospital, but there's a prison guard outside my door. Let me just recap that for everybody listening. There's a prison guard outside my door at the hospital. Nobody's allowed to come see me. And I asked him, when he comes in, I said, where do these flowers come from? He said, some church sent him. I said, a church? I don't go to church. I've been in prison for four and a half years. He said, I don't know. Some church, okay? A couple hours later, these people come in the room. The guard's like, I'm gonna go get some lunch. I remember he leaves. These people walk in the room. Never seen him before in my life. A lady, her husband and two kids. And they said, are you Gerard? I said, yeah. They said, we heard your story from Tom. And I'm like, tom, what are these people talking about? Right? And as I'm laying, they start to tell me, and tomorrow Tom ends up being a guy at a work release center that I was at, that I had only been there for Two weeks. I didn't know Tom from Adam. And when I met Tom, he was about to get sent back to prison because he didn't have any shoes to go to work. You have to provide the things you need in order to go back. You have 30 days to get a job and go out there. And I saw the desperation in Tom sitting in the day room. And he was going to get sent back to prison. And it turns out he wore the same size shoes as I did. Well, I had the shoes to work in a restaurant that he needed. And I said, take the shoes, I don't have a job yet. We'll figure it out. And he went to this church that the worker comes and allows people to go to and told them that he had been in prison for eight and a half years and nobody had ever freely gave anything to him without wanting something back in return. Because that's just how the nature of prison is. I did. It was just the right thing to do. I knew that was what I was supposed to do. He went up to that church and told them that story. And then I was in the hospital and asked them to pray for me. And there's no doubt that that same Sunday that they were praying for me, a stranger in a hospital bed, that that's when God spoke to me that everything was going to be fine. And when I'm saying miraculous things started to happen, that comes by no other than by God's glory and power. That's what started to happen. The next day the doctor comes in and with the triage nurse and he said, look, we know you don't have insurance, you've racked up an extensive amount of bills. We went ahead and submitted something to a charity, we have random charities, and someone picked up to not only pay for your hospital is up to this point, but for everything throughout your stay, it ended up being $180,000 completely wiped away, 100 debt free, all gone. The doctor who's now going to be treating me because my plan the whole time I was in prison, which I connect with my father now, which was a beautiful thing in my story, but my plan was to leave and go to Texas. Go to leave. He said, if you stay here and do your treatment, because you have a long road ahead of me, ahead of you, you, I will treat you for free for a year and make sure you get the medicine you need for a year, $10,000 a month medical, all that stuff started happening. So God was just moving and showing, and I always kept true to that word that he Spoke to me, follow the process. Was it easy all the time? No, it wasn't easy. Those cancer treatments are hard. I had to follow through it. But after a cycle of 10 years and God did miraculous things, just guiding me and leading me throughout, meeting my wife, answering everything I had ever asked him for. God gave me and blessed me on and on and on.
And j. I. I got to ask you because the. The word I. I just keep feeling right now is grace.
Were.
Were you deserving of any of this? Right? Like. Like based on the life you. You had led thus far. You're in prison, all the. These blessings, right?
Were.
Were you deserving of them?
Not in my eyes, no.
Right, right. Yeah. Grace, like, like the. This story is just an unbelievable story and you're not even done with it yet. But I. This grace, where it's unmerited favor, like you, you didn't do anything to earn this. But the fact that God can love you, he could love me, Riley. He could love the. The dirtiest and lowliest of sinners, right, And. And pierce their hearts and love on them to a point where they realize that God is real. It's just remarkable, brother. So don't mean to cut you off, but I just want to point that out.
No, no, I'm glad you did, because that's 100% right, you know, and. And I. I felt that at some points I was like, almost like shame, like, am I worthy of this? But I know that what God spoke to me was true. I didn't question that at all. And there were times that later that came up in my life, especially when I started the brand or even sharing my testimony, that I held back, that I wouldn't share the testimony because I thought, well, what if people find out that I was in prison? What if people find out of the bad things that I did because I'm not worthy? But we know in the word of God what it says is that when we come to him in full surrender, God just moves through us, and that's what he wants to do. So anybody that's listening to this, don't think that because I was in prison or those big words or cancer, that whatever you might be going through, God's not ready to move through you. But you have to surrender to him first and you have to seek him out. I recently had somebody share me this. It was, you have to ask, right? What does ask stand for? You must ask, you must seek, you must knock. That's exactly what Jesus said we have to do. Asking, you shall receive, seeking you will find knock and it will be open to you. And that's exactly what we have to continue to do.
Is your father Robert? Yeah, he's in the chat right now. He just wrote, proud of you, son.
Oh, that's awesome. Yeah. My dad's actually right now in the hospital, right? This is how God works. He's in a hospital right now. There's this new strand of stuff that's going around that we know is going to happen. Right. So he's in the hospital on oxygen over there in Texas dealing with that. He's watching me from the hospital room. And it was no doubt that it was also my dad, when he found out that I was in the hospital room, called a pastor friend that he knew, jumped in his car, drove from Texas to Florida, and they were also praying for me. They showed up in that hospital room and the guard was back. The guard came back, right? And they're like. He's like, you can't be in here. My dad's like, well, we're just here to pray for him. Come on, you can pray, too. And this was like the guard that, like, you know, you wasn't selling for nothing. But he came right in. In with my dad, my stepmom, the pastor, and this guard, and they prayed over me right there in that hospital room. So that's just the grace. That's how God works. He'll use every single buddy that surrenders to him.
Yeah. Amen. Amen. We're in the middle of a segment with you, man. Share testimony. But when I feel led to pray, I, I don't ever want to wait on it. So I, I want to just pause right now and just want to pray for your father, Robert. Work right now. So. And all of you who are listening, just join us in prayer. And you just heard Gerard, The. The power of prayer. The.
The.
The power of God when we ask, when we seek, when we knock. So, Mr. Robert White, we're here with you. We love you, but most importantly, God's with you. The heavenly Father, God, we lift up Robert to you right now. Gerard just said he's in the hospital, he's on oxygen. He. He's battling some sickness. But Lord God, we just ask in the name of Jesus, that you place your hand upon him, right? Heal him and restore him back to good health. Lord God, open up his lungs, increase his capacity for breathing right now, in the name of Jesus, Lord God, may the oxygen monitor even rise right now. And just may the doctors and nurses be. Be founded right now in the name of Jesus because of your work that's being done in and through this man right now. We thank you for your grace, your mercy. We thank you for your healing power touch Robert. Give him peace, give him comfort and give him encouragement. And thank you, Lord, for this man and the recogn. Reconciliation between him and Gerard even. And thank you for his son Gerard and the story to glorify you, our Lord, our God, our Savior. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen and amen.
Amen. Yeah, no doubt that's what God is. He's the father to the fatherless, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Amen. So continue on, man. This ain't a typical. Just when the Holy Spirit leads. This is what we do, brother.
But I love it. Yeah, that's what we have to do.
Do.
Yeah.
But continue on because more blessings, miracles and even. You know, I want to hear how you got the. The clothing line, the. The. The brand, the apparel standupnow apparel.com promo code King from now till Sunday for a discount for our audience only. But what led you to that?
Yeah, so before I go into that, I want to add one thing, that this is how God works is that that no matter where your faith is at that point, even if God is still working on you, God can use you and move through you. So there was a point that after 10 years of being on the cancer medicine and going through that journey, I had allowed the world and the things I had seeked after, the money, the job, all these things that I was so blessed to have because my life was completely transformed from the life that it used to be. But I was so comfortable that I didn't want to jeopardize coming off of the cancer medicine. My wife had had a dream and a vision that she had saw green mist leaving my body. I know you had mentioned your wife and how it's good to have a prayer and somebody praying for you and in the spirit. So I have to share this for my wife and for those out there listening how important it is to have that partner in faith by your side. That she had a vision that this green mist was leaving my body and I was cancer free. And she had mentioned, you should stop the cancer medicine. I was like, I'm not rocking the boat. I'm not doing it. I'm going to stay on this. Like things are good, you know? Well, it turned out that. That God works in ways that only he. He can understand. Right. And he needs to get our attention. He does. So I actually the cancer medicine turned out started eating away at my inside it was eating away at my thoracic duct, causing fluid to fill into my lung cavity. The doctors came to me like, we don't know how this happened. Turns out it was cancer medicine. And they said, we have to stop the medicine. And he was like, it's probably going to come. And before he said the word back, and my wife was like, no, it's not. It's done. He's over with, just like that. And, you know, I'm five and a half years completely cancer free. No medicine. Something that they said would never happen. The doctor said I would never have healthy children. I have two beautiful kids and another one on the way. So all the things that doctors want to think in the real world, right. Of what they can happen, God moves way above and beyond that. So if a doctor has told you recently that this is your diagnosis, this is your outcome, this is your prognosis, this, don't let that seed take root. Because when we have faith, even as small as a mustard seed, God will move anything completely out of the way. But we have to have the faith. We got to act and we got to go out into it. Yeah. So that was a beautiful part of that. So, as you know, now I'm cancer free and I'm living this blessed life. That was when, you know, two and a half years ago, my daughter says, hey, Dad, I want to go to Disney World for my fifth birthday. I'm like, okay, I'll give her her birthday wish. I'll go to Disney World from Florida. No big deal. And five days before we're set to leave, Disney says they're suing the state of Florida over this quote unquote. Don't say gay bill. They're not calling boys, boys and girls, girls and all this woke nonsense. And I was like, I don't want to give Disney any money. I want to cancel the trip. But I know that by canceling the trip, the impact of my daughter is only going to remember that she heard she didn't go to Disney World. So anyway, I jumped online real quick. The vision came to me. God made man a woman. I'm gonna make a shirt. Jumped on just real quick to make a statement. T shirt and rushordert.com When I created it in their clip art, they emailed me back and said they would not print the shirt. God made man a woman. They said it was inappropriate. And I said, what's inappropriate about it? And it's biblical truth. And they were like, we don't want to attack us protected group. And I'm like, well, that's. What about my faith? What about my rights? You know? So anyways, I. I'm the type of person that I don't let anything stop me. I'm just gonna go. Especially when God tells me to do something. I'm gonn statement. And I got the shirt made locally. I wore it to the park. By this time, DeSantis is saying they're going to remove the tax status. Everything's kind of heightened. And my wife is like, don't ruin the trip. Don't ruin the trip. Did they ask you to take it off? Take it off. But the opposite happened when I wear that shirt, because people will see it and they'll say, oh, that's a little bold. I don't know if I can wear that. When I wore it to the park, hundreds of people stopped to get out of line, take my picture, shake my hand, high five me. And it was just a statement. But leaving the park that night, when a veteran. I still get chills when I say this. A veteran tapped me on the shoulder. I looked up wearing a Marine Corps hat. He's in his upper 60s. He said, I love your shirt. Thanks for being strong enough to say it, wear it and say what needs to be said. And I shook his hand, thanked him for his service, and then he went and got into his wheelchair. So when that veteran got his wheelchair to shake my hand, I didn't serve in the army. And my decisions in my life sent me to prison. But have much respect for men and women and our founding fathers and our nation, Right? And it really hit me that we're in the biggest fight we're going to fight right now. We're God's army. And if we don't stand up and stand up now and put God front and center and proclaim his name and his glory across this nation, what are we doing? Because this is a fight that we know how it ends and we have to invite him in. For him to move and win, we have to invite the Holy Spirit in. So literally, I started a brand that designed around putting God front and center bolt on apparel. And I went to work and God just led me, not knowing anything, what I was doing. Started working on designs and through God's guidance and direction and speaking, I connected with Turning Point USA and different amazing people that's allow the brand to grow that way and get the attention it needed. But that Target video, that was by chance, that was God 100%. I did not go in there expecting to make any video. We had dropped my kids off at a birthday party, my wife was like, let's go to Target. Like all wives do. They want to go to Target, right? And I'm like, I don't even want to go to Target. Let's go. We go to Target. I'm pushing the call cart. And as I'm pushing the cart down the main aisle, there's these clothes there. Because now I'm in the apparel industry. I'm looking at clothes, right? I'm checking things out, what's out there, you know? And I see on every boy's clothes there's these rainbows. And they're not the seven rainbows color rainbow that we know is a biblical rainbow and God's promise. It's a hijacked rainbow that is on every single boy's clothes. So I said to my wife, pull out the phone. I made a quick video, know about it because it's the hidden symbolism that they're going after the children and the youth. And I truly believe that us as men, women, but us especially men, leaders of the household leaders in biblical tie, we need to get involved, stand up and be the true leaders and fathers that we're called and, you know, destined to be called to be in this. So I made that video, and this is how God works. Because Graham Allen actually was one of the first people to share that video. That video ended up going on msnbc. See, at night, Alex Wagner said I was the poison of the world if I thought this. And companies like Target and Disney know more for what the people know than we ourselves know. That's exactly what she said.
Yeah. Well, Royce, let's. Let's play this video for those. Some may have seen it in the past and this might be a new clip for others, but this is the video that Royce or Gerard was just mentioning.
What's up, guys? Here I am in Target, my local target, right? Check this out. We're in the boys section, guys, boys clothes section. I want to show you over here. This is the clothing, boys. Dinosaurs are cool, right? Those are a big rainbow behind the dinosaur. We're not going to stop there. We got a cloud hula hooping with a rainbow. What's this? Trucks are cool, right?
Pick it up.
A rainbow. Why are we picking up a rainbow, guys? Why is this boy's clothing today? I'm not done. Like baby shark. Bye bye. There's masculinity. That's what they're doing, destroying masculinity. Guys, it's time to stand up against this wokeness. We need to stand up as Parents and leaders and fathers like. And follow for more. Hey, what's up, guys? Here I am.
Hey, man. And Graham, like you said, Graham was, was the one of the first people to share that and it blew up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he.
He did.
You know, a bunch of people saw it and did.
And.
And people resonate with it. I got a lot of hate. I got death threats. I got a. Of stuff. Because people on the left are. There's people that are crazy, man, because they have the demonic spirits upon them. You know, we're in a spiritual realm and when you come out and you speak truth and you speak life, they don't like it and they want to try to attack you and steer you away in any way possible.
Yep.
Yeah.
Amen, brother.
Yeah, bro.
This, it's.
It's good. And how long ago was that video that was last?
That was over a year ago. That was a year and a half ago ago. That was. That, that was. That was in May of previous year is what it was. What it was. And yeah, so that, that went out there, that went viral. Got a lot of hate from that. And through it all, it, it showed me something though, because it, it was a 30 second clip and people weren't able to get the full story of the message right because people were like, oh, he's talking about rainbows and not Gods. And that's what led me to say, you know what? If this message was all about putting God front and center to have the, to, like you said, Christian, the power of a testimony, God's story and God's truth to be heard. We have to start a podcast. So that video and the kickback I got from that was that you need to continue this brand in a different way. So I started a podcast. It's the are you Listening? Podcast on YouTube and on Rumble. You can check us out there where we dive in and talk deeper. Like what you guys are doing about faith, God culture, and then having people on for testimonies, because that's truly what this is. Because when people hear, hear how God has moved through somebody's life, when people hear that God of the Bible is the God that's living today and the Holy Spirit still alive, people get enriched, they get empowered and they hungrily seek after it. Because that's what the word of God does for people. And that's really the purpose of this whole brand is for us that know as believers to do like you guys are doing. Be unashamed, put God on your chest, be bold, stand out there. And it's an evangelistic tool. Every time, not every, almost all the time I'm out in public and I'm wearing one of my shirts. Shirts. I get a man. I like that shirt. Or hey, I gotta talk to you. Can I talk to you about something? I literally got the opportunity to pray for somebody in the grocery store, right? For wearing a shirt. That's not going to happen if you're not proudly boldly proclaiming your faith like the word of God tells us to do.
Yeah. Amen, brother. Well, you got a goat.
You're up.
Well brother, the, the, the truth that you've stood up for, man, it's opened up doors. And as we've spoken on private con, I believe that this brand is just going to be the platform that God opened up for you so your, your message can be heard because it is encouraging, it, it does draw people to the Lord and keep sharing it, man, keep sharing it. We'll do everything in our power to get your, your word, your voice, your testimony out there. Because you, you mentioned it earlier. I mean we're actually promised to have problems, troubles here on earth. Like we're, we're promised the suffering even as believers and we're going to suffer pers our beliefs. However, you know, I'm not down for a, a water down gospel by any means, a prosperity gospel by any means. However, my worst day as a believer is a thousand times better than my best day before I knew the Lord 1000%. Because now what we have access to is his kingdom, we have access to his peace, we have access to, to him directly. We're told to, to boldly approach the throne of grace. Right? And what still blows my mind, and I don't understand how anybody could truly wrap their heads around this. When the Holy Spirit dwells within believers, that is literally God living inside of you. That's remarkable. That's mind blowing. That's a, that's a miracle. So we have access to God. We're not alone. He's our friend, he's our Father, he's our counselor, he, he, all of that. So we will go through persecutions, we will go through trials. But you know, take heart because Jesus did come to over, he came to overcome the world. So man, I pray that your testimony just pierces the hearts of all believers and that it could be heard not, not just by believers to be an encouragement, but to unbelievers, to, to other people who grew up in a household without God, to other people who got wrapped up, they were just chasing the things of the, you know, what we're taught to do as a kid if we don't have a godly influence. And you did it and you've found yourself locked up for. For five years. So, man, we love you.
Yeah, absolutely, Gerard. Love you, brother. And we. I mean, we've. We only met back in July at a turning point at the believer summit there in West Palm Beach. I believe it was. And it was. It was coincidence that we had booths essentially, us there representing King's Council and you representing Stand up now apparel, that we connected there. And it's just, I think, you know, with. We talk a lot about in the King's Council about alignments. And this is just something that I really believe God is doing. Maybe what seems to be behind the scenes is he's just aligning those four for the assignment. Right. With our alignments are oftentimes birthed our assignments here. And so we are here, man, to. To again help you push this brand forward and continue to stand for truth. And it's just been a pleasure having you on, man. I'm sure we'll have you on again here in the near future.
Yeah, no, thanks. I appreciate it, guys. That's exactly what God's doing. He's aligning people up for good and for his glory. And I want to say one thing, something that I always held me held back on sharing my testimony is I. I didn't like, I felt shame around the things that I had done in my past or if that was really going to get out there. But God wants to use your story and where you're at for his purpose. You're gone through everything in your life for that reason, you know. And he led me to the scripture because that's where he reveals truth is through his word. That's the sword. That's what we have to be armed with in this culture, in this battle. And in Mark 5, 19, 20, where he cast out the legion and that demon runs out and goes into the pigs and it jumps over the bush into the river and dies. He tells that man to go and tell his family of how he was healed. The guy doesn't run to his house and close the door, which I had done. He had went to Decapolis. I didn't know what Decapolis was. That word is 10 cities. He went to 10 cities to tell everybody what Jesus had done. And that was something that I had been missing in my story is not openly sharing it. And it was through meeting you guys and the linemen and all of that, that where I know that that's what God's called me to do. So I appreciate you guys being obedient to the spirit for allowing this type of platform and things to happen.
Yeah, that's incredible, brother. All right, for those, again, listening at standup now, apparel.com. check it on out. You can get all sorts of incredible shirts and, and hats and bracelets. I think you got on there, man, as well. It's just been, it's been great just to see what you're doing here, man, and really going to be exciting just to see where you take this brand. So. So standupnowapparel.com and again, use keyword king, King K I N G for a discount here for our listeners of the King's Council. Gerard, appreciate you, brother. Thanks for being on.
Of course. Thanks for having me, guys. My pleasure.
Love you, man.
That's cool, man.
Yeah, it's cool. Yeah. Love Gerard and love hearing any testimony. Yeah, it's remarkable. We need those reminders every single day of what God does.
Does.
Yeah. Because it's real. And like you said, like, make miracles great again.
Great again.
Right?
Mmga, baby.
Right?
Make America healthy. Make America great, but also make miracles great again. Yes. Which brings us kind of into another topic that is. Has been in the news a lot here over the last couple days regarding Mr. Uh, Biden, uh, pardoning his son Hunter, which he promised he wasn't going to do. Right. And, and now obviously there's what, month and a half left of his presidency, so he pardons Hunter and then now there's especially rumors about him pardoning Fauci, amongst others, which makes me just kind of question. It's like, well, what is there to pardon if nothing was done wrong?
Right. Whereas Hunter, obviously there's a lot of things done wrong, but with Fauc preemptively pardon. Pardoning him.
Right. Yeah, yeah. Which, I mean, that's an admission of guilt right there in itself. They could justify it or, you know, try. Try to say that it's going to be Trump going after them. It's just, it's, it's funny. Whatever. And even back to Gerard with, with the rainbows. You mentioned them being hijacked. This is something that we, you see in culture all the time. Whatever God creates for good, Satan counterfeits.
Right.
And, and that's just what, what we've, what we're seeing with the LGBTQ movement, the rainbow in, in those who, who call evil good, good evil. Right? Like, woe to those. Woe to those people. And ultimately they will be judged. But here on Earth too. There is a justice system that is something that we're. We're all supposedly under some, you know, maybe more than others because of this pardoning system that has taken place. But it brought Christian and I into an interesting conversation where we're just referencing forgiveness and what Christians are called to do. And we started to get into it and we had kind of different perspectives on this, and we've been kind of wrestling with this back and forth over the past few days. And we want to dive into this with you guys and even hear your thoughts on this in regards to forgiveness from what the Bible says to how we are supposed to walk this thing out as believers. Right? Because it is something that we know that, that Jesus has for. Wants to forgive us of our sins. Right. But it does require repentance. And I think one of just relating this back to this pardoning situation, like, there ain't no repentance.
Right?
Right. There's. There's not. And a repentance is, is not just like, oh, forgive me, and then continue to do those things. Repentance is, is to, to turn around, to change your mind, to take on a new way of thinking, to then walk that out. It's not to say that you're never going to fall into sin or fall into temptation, because we do that on a daily basis as believers, but it's, it's the heart's disposition towards it. Right. And so while we see, see the hijacking of a pardon taking place here on, you know, in America, there is still a pardoning of sins that, that Jesus wants to forgive and, and wants to spend eternity with us. But it does require repentance. It does require. And I think just speaking of hijacking, repentance is a word that I think it's. Has been hijacked even. It's just like, what, what is like repentance, Repent and thou shalt be saved. Right. And it's like, well, what is it actually? What is the root of it? And, and I even want to, if we have time to dive into that, a little bit of the, a couple different root words of it that are referenced in scripture in the Greek tense. So not when we see the word repent. This is where it's so important as you're reading your Bible to get to the root of this, to like, truly study the word of God. Because then the Hebrew and the Greek, you know, one word that we have today could been seven or eight words that was used in the Hebrew and the Greek. And so it's Important for us to really truly understand this because the Bible never contradicts itself, right? Which a lot of people will say, oh, it contradicts itself all the time. It's like, no, now we use words differently. Take hope, for example, that we talked about. Like a biblical definition of hope is to be fully persuaded, right? And where we say, well, I hope it doesn't rain today. Well, that's not hope. That's what wishful thinking, right? A biblical definition is. The hope that we have is like, I'm fully persuaded in this eternal glory that God has called us to. And so we have to understand this and this is what we really want to kind of dive into today. And so with the last few minutes, we have here as much as we can. Of course, one of the questions that came up between Christian and I last night is when forgiveness is asked, certainly we are called to. This is something that we should do. The Bible will absolutely back this up. To forgive, right? Like we are to forgive as Christ Jesus has for forgiven us. But then there's also those that are unrepentant. And I know every single one of us tell us in the chat, if you've got people in your life that are unrepentant, right, that are, they don't even. Maybe they're oblivious to what they've done or they're, they're deviously continually to do those things. Are we supposed to still forgive those people? And we'll, we'll go into a couple different scripture references of this and, and break down maybe where Christian and I have different thoughts on this, but I think you're coming around to, to the, the right thought on this. No, I'm just kidding. But this is what we're supposed to do do. This is what discipleship really is about. It's not necessarily that. I mean, ironing, sharpening iron is to talk through these things and to, to work out our salvation with fear and with trembling. That's that what I talked about earlier, the sanctification process?
Yeah. Well, the question at hand really is do I have to forgive somebody if they're not repentant? And, and the Bible talks about that there's a difference between godly remorse or godly sorrow and then worldly remorse and worldly sorrow. So. But if somebody, if there's just no sorrow, somebody just keeps doing you wrong and, and put in the chat, Ju. Just, just put here if you, you've been done wrong by somebody and you've struggled with unforgiveness, because it's a Real thing. And I believe unforgiveness in the heart is probably the biggest hindrance in our, in our Christianity walk. Right? Because when we hold on to unforgiveness and it, it's like a cancer that's within us and it will, it could stop the flow of God's blessings in our lives. So the question at hand is truly, if somebody isn't remorseful, if they don't say sorry, if they're not apologetic, are we still called to forgive them? And that's how we got into this chat. And I said, well, yeah, of course. Because, you know, the Bible says that where Jesus told Peter you're to forgive seven times 70 times. Right? And really was, you know, seven times and seven times 70 times. And it's not just that at like 491, you don't forgive anymore. The, the emphasis was you, you forgive infinitely. But there's a passage, similar passage right.
Before it, actually, this is it. This is Luke 17, 3 and 4. It says, take heed to yourselves if your brother sins against you. Right? Which we'll come back to, to brother. There's, there's an important aspect of that. Rebuke him, right? And if he repents, forgive him. Keyword if, if he repents. This is, this is my stance on this. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, in seven times in a day, returns to you saying, I repent, you shall forgive him. Right? And so this, the important component of this part of Scripture here is that this is the assumption that if your brother, who is in Christ, right? So this is the difference between Christians followers of Jesus, I don't even want to use the word Christians followers of Jesus and non followers of Jesus, right. A brother is somebody that is a committed follower of Jesus here. If they sin against you, we are called to rebuke them. Matthew, what is it, 18 gives us an actual way of how to do this appropriately. We won't go through that now, but how to do this appropriately? Appropriately rebuke them, right? And it's not like rebuke them and share it to the entire world, but come to them and, and have a real discussion with them about it and then what to do if they, if they actually don't repent, right. Versus the unbeliever, if they're just continually doing nasty, terrible things to you. Right. Do we have to actually forgive them? And we kind of go back and forth on this a little bit.
Yeah, I, I, I think the rule of thumb is God doesn't want unforgiveness in our hearts at all. Yes. This says that if your brother, if they repent, then forgive them for sure. So we're talking about a brother in Christ. But what if that person again doesn't repent?
Yeah.
Am I able to just hold this grudge upon this person? And I, I think when you look at the whole council of scripture. Scripture, the answer would be no. And even in, in that Matthew passage there, it's the parable of the unforgiving servant, where, where a king has a servant and he goes to collect his debt. And it's a lot of debt. It was 10,000 talents, which it's debated how much that's actually worth. But that could be up to 20 years wage, right? So that's a lot. And he went to collect, he said, I don't have it. He got on his knees, he begged. And what did the, the Master do? What did the king do? He forgave him of his, his debt. But then what did that guy go and do? He had other servants that owed him money. And he went to a dude that owed him 100 denarii, which is about 100 days wages, far less than the 20 years worth of wages. What did he do? He put his hands around his neck and said, you better pay up. And the guy pled, right? And he didn't forgive him of that debt. And then what Jesus says, so my Heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you from his heart does not forgive his brother his trespasses. Now in this account, which was the, the last couple verses was, should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I have pity on you? And his master was angry and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. So in this account down, Jesus emphasizes the continual forgiveness without the condition of repentance. Right? Because there was no. He didn't tell that servant. Well, yeah, if he, if he actually repents and he's sorrowful of the debt he owes, then don't wrap your hands around him. I don't think that was a condition in there. And when you think of just the Lord's Prayer, right? Forgive us our debts and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Right? You know, forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us. We, we aren't to put a condition on that. And then a couple verses down, it says, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses. So now this is bringing in, okay, if I don't forgive that person, whether they're repentant or not, whether they're apologetic, sorrowful or not, if I don't forget that person, forgive that person, then. Wait a second. The measure of God's forgiveness towards me and I do is based upon how I forgive others. That verse right there tells me I need to forgive at all times because I don't want to stop God forgiving me for things because I could be repentant still, right? And God forgive me. But hold on. He's not going to truly forgive me if I'm not forgiving of somebody else, right?
Absolutely. Our camera has shut off. I don't know why, but Righteous Texas. And I see we don't have a camera on here as well. That's all right. Our audio is still going, but the camera is not going here. But there's still so much I want to unpack on this. We might have to continue the part of this to even next week's if. If possible. I saw Pastor Kevin Jones from Summit Church even threw in the chat there. Conditional forgiveness, which I think is an interesting concept.
Maybe.
Maybe we can have Kevin on to talk about this even in one of the upcoming episodes. What's I. We can give a lot of examples of this. So even. No, we still don't have video. Oh, here we go. We got video. Back.
Back.
Gotta hit the okay button on there. So in. In this reference, then, Christian of even the. As you're doing all the technical duties, it's funny that you're the one actually doing the technical duties. Not that I'm any better. But in this reference, then is that regards to the forgiveness of the debt due. Does that mean that as a believer, if somebody just comes to me, I should just continually give them money because this is what I have done and never gotten repaid back. And it's like, all right, it's your. You're still forgiven. And I'm going to just continue to do the idiotic things. Hell, there's got to be wisdom involved with that. But here's what I think has to happen. The ability for us, the. Because you even heard this a lot probably said in. Especially in Christian communities, it's that forgiveness or bitterness or anger, hatred towards another person causes way more damage to us than it does to that individual, especially if they're not a believer. And. And we just dwell on this and dwell on this, and it's preventing us from walking in the. The freedom that Christ ultimately has has died for us. Right? So it. What has to happen, in my opinion on this, is that we have to have a heart's disposition to forget, forgive. Right? But the forgiveness isn't. Isn't necessarily. It's not a transactional thing unless they're repentant. Right. If they were to truly come and say, bro, I'm sorry, I've, I. I did you wrong, and would you forgive me? At that point, no question. We are to forgive them as Christ forgave us because Jesus, while he died, he rose again. He hasn't forgiven everybody because they have to repent. They have to come to him, confess and repent mean change of mind. Not just repent being remorseful, because this is the type of repentance that is mentioned with Judas. It says that Judas actually, you know, threw the change down and it said that he repented, but then he went out and hung himself. That wasn't a. A true repentance of a change of mind, change of thinking. It was a remorseful repentance. And there's words in the Greek that are used for repent. One is metamonoi. We should have gave Royce the. How to even spell these things up here. And one is meta lem lemo, my metal. I believe.
Just say it with confidence. Nobody. Nobody else is going to know.
So confidence, yes. But there's. There's two versions of repentance, two different words that are used in scripture.
Scripture.
And the version that that is. Is used when. When it says that Judas repented, was just remorseful. It's like they were sorry. Right. Probably sorry I got caught.
Right.
And. And this is what a lot of people will experience. Most of the world is experiencing. Right. It's not that bar that Hunter. I don't even know if he's like, he's remorseful that he did all this crazy crap or fauci, if we want to mention that. Like, I don't even know if that's even there, but there is a. I'm sorrowful. And that's what you mentioned. There's the worldly sour sorrow, and it's sour. And then there's the godly sorrow. Godly is a true repentance of, like, I have done wrong. Lord, forgive me, brother. Forgive me. And now we're able to move forward from that standpoint. And so I know we're coming up on time.
Well, Charlotte just wrote in the chat, it's a drug grudge. It's a sin to hold a grudge.
Right, yeah.
So if you're simply unforgiving, that would be a grudge, wouldn't it?
Yeah, well, the thing is, it's not that you're unforgiving. What I was referring to is a transactional forgiveness. Your heart's disposition needs to be like, yes, God, I'm giving that to you. Number one, they did me wrong, but I'm not going to continue to put myself in that situation. Right, right. So you, you can remove yourself from the situation. And we've had this experience in, in within the King's council, like, okay, we have to be out of this abusive type of relationship. And, and, but when there's, so the forgiveness then is something that we, I think, have to work on with the Lord because it's only by God's grace that is even possible to, to take place. And if they do repent, then a transactional component can actually take place. So the forgiveness needs to be. Yes, Lord, I, I, I do forgive them for that. I mean, we could go into just horrific examples of this, of somebody, you know, murdering or, or doing something terrible to your child. Like, are you willing to do you just, I, I forgive you. It's not a big deal. I forgive you. Right. If they're, if they're not repentant, they're not remorseful on this at all, or even if they are remorseful, like, we can forgive them, but it certainly not going to forget what has actually taken place. Right. And it's a fine line, but I think we have to come back to the different types of repentance that are, that are mentioned throughout Scripture.
It's interesting that even in the court of law, if a defendant is remorseful, they could get a lesser sentence. Right. If there's no remorse, the judge will throw the book at him. So that's interesting. But when Jesus, Jesus was on the cross and he said, father, forgive them for they know not what they do. Right?
Yep.
They, I mean, Jesus, interesting. We have a whole conversation about this because Jesus obviously was declared to be the one who could forgive sins. And that's part of why he was crucified. Right. Because that was part of him claiming to be God. We started the show with this. Although he never said those words, I am God. Best believe he went to the cross and died because he was claiming to be God. And there's plenty of examples of that.
Well, even Stephen says that as Stephen's being stoned, like, lord, forgive them for they know not what they, they do. Right, right. It's not that God is, is just Forgiving them. There needs to be a repentance on the their part. Right. So it's more of like, lord, unveil the. Unveil this. This truth to them so that they do see you and you can forgive them.
But when Stephen says it, that's an expression of his own forgiveness to those who are killing him.
Yeah.
So that, that's remarkable that Stephen, as he's getting stoned, could repeat the words of Jesus to forgive them for they know not what they're doing.
Which I think comes to the ultimate, like, factor of this, of between believers and unbelievers. If there's an unbeliever that has done you wrong, the ultimate goal in all of this is to love them to repentance.
Repentance.
Not to rebuke them to repentance. Right. To love them to repentance. From a brother to brother, it is to rebuke them to repentance. That's, I think, a big difference between the two is understanding your audience or who you're working with in that situation. Because Steven's heart was undoubtedly the only possible way that if someone's stoning me, bro, like, that's, that's hard. Right?
That's.
This is maybe my sanctification. Hopefully I don't ever get stoned, but if someone's stoning me, like, like, I. I'm gonna have a tough time saying I. I love them so much that God, if they do repent, forgive their. Their sins.
Yeah, right. And. And let's be clear. When we forgive somebody, that means nothing for them spiritually. Correct. As far as their. Their eternal destination.
But it is an act of Christ. That's how. That's a love towards love. Love them towards repentance. It's like, Right. You know, that's. That's what we're called to do. We're imitate. You know, Paul says to imitate him as he imitate Christ. Like we are supposed to be image bearers of him. So we are called to do this, but not called to continually put yourself in a idiotic situation.
Yeah, you don't want to be abused. If somebody shows no signs, if that person is just time after time doing you wrong, has no remorse, no guilt, no shame about it, and they're doing you wrong 100%. As best as you can, remove yourself from the situation. It may be somebody that's in your life and you're sitting family, an ex and you have a child together, somebody that you can't just shed from your life, but you have to deal with it. But it's interesting because in that second Corinthians 7 verse where it says that there's a repentance that leads to salvation and then there's a worldly repentance that doesn't.
Yeah.
Right. So with Stephen, with him forgiving all these guys who are throwing stones at him, I, I, I wonder if the repentance came after the, that fact. Fact, right? Like they were forgiven, but the act, the, the, the, the kindness and the love and, and the grace involved in the forgiving of somebody who's not repentant yet, that could actually lead to their repentance.
Yes, 100%, absolutely. That. Yes. Because that, the, the worldly repentance is that remorseful, that doesn't lead to Godly repentance. Right? Like, it's like the dude who just keeps beating his wife and he's like, I'm sorry, baby, I love you. And you just keep sitting in the situation like, that's not loving him to repentance. Like, get out of that situation. Right. But if it's a, it all boils down to our heart's disposition towards this. I promise you, if there are any, Is anybody in that situation, you sticking in that situation is not an act of, of love. It's an, it's an act of continuing. Allowed to allow them to, to manipulate and do those awful things. Man. We could, we go on and on.
So let me ask you this in conclusion, and this was a brief conversation on this. Do you believe that God wants you to forgive somebody who is not repentant?
Yes, 100%. Because God Jesus wants to forgive everybody that's not repentant as well.
Right.
But it still takes them the ability to repent. So it goes back to, yes, yes, I'm not going to hold the grudge. But the transaction of forgiveness will not take place until they repent what they.
Receive from it or what you receive from it. Because even if they're not repenting what.
They receive from it.
Right. Because you'll be free.
Yes.
If you have unforgiveness in your heart and you truly forgive, even if that person, they're like, I'll do you wrong ten times over still. Right.
Y.
You're still free. So part of that transaction is you benefit. And that's why I say un, Unforgiveness in our hearts is the biggest hindrance to, to our walk. And it grows like a cancer. So the transactional product of what they get, that'll be missing forever. And in the end, it's like who cares? Because I'm good between me and my God. My heart is free from it. I forgive them. I don't. If I could cut them off from my life, so be it. I could choose to never have a true reconciliation with that person. However we are to, to go above and beyond and being at peace with all men. So if the opportunity presents itself, then surely maybe that could happen. But who really, if you're a true believer and somebody who's done you wrong, it could be something horrible, horrific. If you're truly walking with the Lord and now that person has true repentance, now they're walking with the Lord. I, I believe there can be some sort of reconciliation. Not like you got to do life together anymore, but there can be a reconciliation now. And it like, like true for. I don't want to say true forgiveness because you just, just did already truly forgive them, you know, but it like, just seals the deal.
Yes, it does. Absolutely. Absolutely. There's been a lot in the chat. It's hard to even keep up with, with many of it. I don't know if Royce, if there were any super chats that we, we want to address at all that I had mentioned earlier, but this has been a fun, fun conversation. Thank you for today's show. Yeah, love it. Appreciate this, guys. And this is what, this is what we're going to continue to talk about on a weekly basis. So every Friday, again, you guys know, we, we go live at 11 o' clock Central Standard Time. We're going to talk about what's going on in the world, but we want to bring, bring it from a, a biblical perspective. Right. So just the pardoning of sins, we'll call it, of, of what Hunter has done. What ultimately sounds like is going to happen with other individuals, that doesn't mean that there's repentance there. Right. And that, that our, our heart, our prayer should actually, should absolutely be. Be that we are to pray for our enemies, which is wild, but that's what God's called us. Your feelings mean nothing. It mean nothing. Right? They truly, it truly is. They're your feelings. They're valid. That is, that is a fact that is taking place. But if we're going to walk in truth, we're going to walk in obedience. That's what God cares about. Right. Obedience over sacrifice. That's what we're called to do as, as believers. And that's what we want to do and continue to talk about here on these upcoming episodes. Yeah, that's all we got is thank you for Today's show. All right, well, you're welcome. I hope this was good for everybody.
