Why “Trying” Is Keeping You Stuck (Biblical Truth)

Rylee Meek argues that trying is a half-hearted approach that pre-loads failure, while training is a disciplined, identity-driven commitment rooted in Scripture. True transformation comes from changing who you believe you are, not just what you do. He introduces the Millionaire Man Cave brotherhood, a community built on six pillars: faith, fitness, family, friendship, finances, and fight.

All right, everybody. Welcome back to the King's Council Live. You got me solo today. So welcome, welcome, welcome. Happy Friday, guys. Happy Friday. Hope you guys had an incredible Easter. Man, it was a great time last weekend just being home. I got to be home for what, a stretch of like 5 days or so, which was incredible. I do travel a lot for what I do for work, ministry, all things. And just thank God I have a wife that allows me to do so. But welcome guys, welcome, welcome, welcome. Let me know what— I want to know, just be a little bit even more interactive in the chat than we normally are today. I would love to know where you all are from as you're hopping on here. Just get to know some of you some more. We're gonna dive into a fun topic today, one that I actually— some of you may have even heard or know about a group that we've, within the King's Council, have essentially really partnered with. Because a lot of you know, we kind of halted a lot of the coaching that we did within the King's Council that we did for a number of years. And I just felt God was telling me to focus on, you know, really what he had called me to do, and that's to build business and to really grow and pour into our sales teams and things. And, and, um, uh, that's just, you know, I want to be obedient, um, as I, as I hope and I believe all of you do as well. And so that's what we did in that time period, uh, and really just turned the King's Council into a nonprofit. We still provide, uh, resources for kingdom entrepreneurs, um, men, uh, and, you know, really anybody. But, um, within the King's Council, we are— our really heart was to, to really disciple individuals, and specifically men, right? And when I had a couple buddies that had reached on out to us regarding what they were building within what's known as the Millionaire Man Cave, some of you may have seen some things that we've talked about with that. That's essentially a vertical within the King's Council. It's a brotherhood of men to pour into. And I got to speak at an event. It was our first kind of founders event that we held, what, man, about 2 weeks ago now. Man, it was incredible. We had close to a couple hundred men joined down in Sarasota, Florida, and I had a small segment. And, you know, going into it, I was kind of like, Lord, what do you want me to lean into on this? And he really just laid on my heart something that I've talked about in the past, really kind of this theology of of trying versus what I see a way more biblical picture of, uh, throughout scripture, uh, is just a mindset of training, right? And, and when you've— if you've received Christ as, as Lord and Savior of your life, like, first and foremost, that, that's most important, number one, um, because we can, we can try to, uh, you know, accomplish many things and, and be successful at life, but at the end of it, it's completely meaningless unless we've received Christ as Savior and as Lord of our life, because that's all that really truly matters if we boil it down. Can I get an amen to that in the chat? Because that's really all that matters at the end of this thing, because this life is a blurp. It goes by real quick for all of us. I mean, I'm 40 now, Uh, which is wild when I just think of, you know, my daughter being 14. Like, what happened? I remember changing her diapers, and now we have two more boys that I'm changing diapers in. It's just time flies. Time flies. And with the time that we have on this earth, um, I believe we should really be intentional, uh, and adopt this, um, theology— I'm just gonna call it that— or a doctrine of, of, of training. Right? Because let me just even, even ask you guys this, like, why is it— think of anything in your life that you've, you've tried to do or said, I was going to go accomplish this. Like New Year's resolutions always come to mind when, when I talk about this, but it's like, we, we always try to change things on our own effort, but oftentimes, not always the case, but oftentimes we end up back in the same miserable place that we were. Maybe it's not miserable. I'm just going to the extreme on this. But for example, like we try to be more disciplined with whatever it is. Maybe it's our eating, our fitness. Maybe it's reading the word of God. We try to be a better husband, right? Or a better wife. We're trying to maybe grow our businesses or we're trying to get closer to God, right? We're trying in all of these things and it's like trying As we try, we continue to try, like nothing seems to like stick long-term, right? There's, there's not really a huge transformation. And what I want to dive into today with this is I don't believe that it's that the problem is our effort in this at all. The problem is our strategy, right? Because there's a big, big difference between trying and actually committing to training. And I think I'm gonna— I'm speaking— I know I've got a lot of women listeners on this as well, but I'm gonna speak directly to men today. Women, you're gonna be able to get a lot out of this, believe me. If anything, you'll be able to know how to speak to your man differently, uh, to encourage him, right? And, and to adopt this, this new mindset that, that we need to take on as leaders of our household, um, as, as leaders in, in the church, just as leaders here in the earthly realm that we're in right now. So I wanna define the two first before we get too deep into this, because trying, while it sounds like a, maybe a noble thing, right? It's like, I'm gonna try to do this. It's actually a very dangerous, like, mindset, or just, again, maybe it's a doctrine if we wanna call it that. It can be very dangerous because at the core of it, all it really is is a half-hearted attempt, right? Or a hopeful experiment. How about that, right? Because what we're doing is when we say we're trying, we're just, we're preloading an excuse, right? Just bear with me on this. If we say we're gonna try to work out, right? I'm gonna try to set my alarm early to work out and get healthier. I'm gonna try to be more patient. I'm gonna try to stop losing my temper, right? Or I'm gonna try to stop doing those things. What we're doing is assuming that failure is even an option, right? Because it's, it's a, it's a super soft commitment to what we're again trying to actually do. We're preloading an excuse for us to say, well, at least I tried, right? Because trying never produces consistent results in any area of life, right? It might give you a moment of change, a periodic, like a small, maybe a burst of a little bit of change. But with the, with the concept of trying, we never actually truly experience transformation. And that is what I think the goal should be for all of us, no matter where you're at in life. You may be well into years and years of your walk with the Lord, maybe a brand new baby Christian. You may not even know Christ as Lord and Savior of your life yet, but we all desire and should hope for transformation little by little, day by day in this walk of life that we're committed to take on. And hear me on this. When you receive Christ as Savior of your life, you're a new creation. I'm gonna go into this a little bit deeper in a second, but you are, scripture tells us that we are sanctified, meaning we are set apart, but sanctification is also a process. It's that concept of like now and not yet, right? Type of, yeah, again, just an understanding of what sanctification is. It's like, yes, we are sanctified, but we are continually being sanctified. We are continually, we are set apart, but we're continually being transformed into the image of our creator day by day, hour by hour, right? Month by month. This is a process that we get to go through. And I look at scripture, I look at the Bible as my manual for life. And, and this, I would encourage you, like you should start to look at it through that persp, persp perspective because that's what the Bible actually is. Hey, what's up guys? Rylee Meek here, and I want to speak directly to the men here. If you're feeling stuck in life or that you're capable of more, then hear me out, because most men are stuck not because they're incapable, but because they're surrounded by weak environments. And let me say it straight, if nobody is challenging you in your life, you're getting dull. And the Bible says that iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. So let me ask you this. Who's sharpening you? Who's calling you out on your excuses? Who's pushing your faith? Who's pushing you in, in maybe business or really just in, in discipline in life? Because if you don't have that, you're coasting and you're becoming comfortable, and that comfort is killing your calling. And that's why we've built the Millionaire Man Cave. Now, this isn't some casual, like, men's group or get-together. This is a brotherhood. In our app, we have daily accountability, we have daily challenges, we have real conversations, we have weekly coaching calls, and even in-person live events. This is where men get sharpened. If you're serious about becoming the man God has called you to be, then stop sitting on the sidelines and join the MMC brotherhood today. Or stay where you're at and continue getting what you've got. But you know, deep down, it's hard going it alone. So step up and do the uncomfortable and join the tribe that will no longer accept mediocrity from you. Go to joinkingscouncil.com and join the brotherhood today. I got a couple notes here. This is in, I forget if it's 1st or 2nd Timothy now. Bear with me. If you're in the chat and you know this, um, tell me if it's 1 or 2 Timothy, but it says, all scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Training— keyword is training. I'm going to talk about this a lot on, on today's segment here, and I think Paul gives us a totally different perspective of this or an understanding of what training is. I love— I mean, majority of the New Testament is Paul, uh, three-fourths of it at least is Paul and all the letters that in the epistles that he has written to different churches. Uh, and Paul gives us a pretty good explanation of this in 1 Corinthians chapter 9, uh, verses 24. I'm going to start with this. It says, do you not know that in a race All the runners run, but only one gets the prize. Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that's not going to last, right? But we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like someone running aimlessly. I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. So good there. Just, I mean, we could, I could, we could just spend the rest of the hour on that, but I want to, I want to break all of this down for you into what's just been a transformation in my life over the past 6, 7 years now. Of like, again, looking to scripture as, as my manual of how I'm going to run life. But one thing that Paul doesn't say in any of this is to try harder. He says train, train like an athlete, right? He says run in such a way to actually get the prize because everyone who competes goes into strict training, not strict trying. But strict training, right? It's in this. This only happens when you think about an athlete. The greatest athletes out there have, have very intentional discipline, right? They're intentional with their time, what they feed their body, their focus, like what they're focusing on, right? Paul says, I don't run aimlessly. I don't fight like a boxer, just kind of beating the air, right? And this, I think, just correlate that into your everyday life. Just the busyness of life. Oftentimes we're just going through the motions. Believe me, I've got a 6-week-old at home, we have a 19-month-old. Life is chaotic. It is. I keep telling myself this is a season of life, right? Because I know it's going to get— I don't even like to use the word easier because I don't ever want to strive for comfort. I don't want to— I don't want to— I'm not trying to make easy my life, uh, but I want to be intentional with the time that God's given me. And in this season of life, I need to be intentional with, with pouring into my babies, right? Uh, but also the other time that I have, I need to be intentional with, with being very present with my wife, fulfilling the needs that she has in raising these kids as I am off working, um, and providing for the family. But I do know that there's different seasons of life that we were to go through, right? But no matter what the season is, we're not to do it aimlessly. We're not to be like a boxer fighting the air, right? But we gotta be intentional with the time, with the resources, everything that's God given us so we can continue to be transformed, so we can continue to progress. I'm a firm believer that in any period of time in life, you are either growing or you are dying. I do not believe that there is an area of life where it's like we feel like we're just— we've plateaued, right? Because if you've plateaued and you're not being challenged in certain areas or pushing yourself or seeking to do the hard things, you're dying, right? You, you need to be stretched and in all aspects of life and in the, the 6 pillars of, of what we kind of define as, as being a, a man that, that takes on a spirit of excellence and pursues on a daily basis. Okay? Because if we're not growing, we are dying. And so here, here's the big difference between trying and, and training. Trying is, is an emotional component, right? It's, it, it's, it provides inconsistently in your life. Because you try based upon your feelings. And usually people quit when it actually gets hard. Okay, trying's emotional. You become inconsistent. You quit when it gets hard because you're basing it on a feeling. Whereas training, when you take on and adopt this new level, this new mindset where you become intentional, you develop structure in your life, and the decisions that you have to make are based upon commitments that you've already decided, right? It's no longer— we don't have choices in these things, but you're training, meaning you are going to continue, you are going to continually progress regardless of your feelings, because hard times don't care about your feelings. And this is where if you tried, it's like, well, I need a day off because it's been getting hard and I need to, you know, whatever. We can come up with excuses after excuses, but trying means that you are— you're acting based upon how you feel, so you allow yourself to make choices. Whereas when you're training, you are acting based upon who you've decided to become. I'm gonna say that again. When you're training, you act upon The everything that you do when you're training, the decisions that you make, you, you act based upon who you've already decided to become. And let me even break this down. When we, when we adopt the mindset of training, choices no longer are an option because we have decided. To decide, I love to get to the root of words here. When you decide something, picture this, you are literally Cutting off. You are taking off the side, deciding that there is no other options. You burn the boats. I've decided that this is who I am going to continue to become. Now, I may be a work in progress, but I am in training. I am no longer trying to be better, but I am training to be more of the man that God has already said that I'm called to be. Can I get an amen with that in the chat? Please, if somebody is out there, talk to me today. All right, guys. Yes, yes, yes. Okay. All right. So this is where people, I think, miss this component. Okay. Because again, we can, we can have a good day where it's like, yes, I'm going to do this. And we're going, you know, I always think of the movie Old School, like, you're my boy, Blue. Like, we're going streaking and everybody gets fired up. And then you look back and nobody is behind you. Right? So we have to get to the root of this here, and this boils down to our identity. Okay? This is where a lot of people have missed this because you're not going to change your life by changing what you do. I'm going to say that again. You're not going to just change your life by changing what you do long-term. Again, transformation is what we're looking for. You change your life by changing who you believe you are. You change your life by, by changing who you believe you are. Galatians 2:20 says this, that if that, um, it is no longer you who live but Christ who lives in you. Again, so if you have been— you have received Christ as Savior, you are a new creation. 2 Corinthians tells us that, that if you're in Christ, you are a new creation. You're not improved, you're not upgraded. You are new. This is like the, the app was complete. It wasn't just an updated app. The app has been redone. It's cre— it's brand spanking new, because the Greek word in this is kainos, K-A-I-N-O-S, and this means that it's something completely different and unlike anything before. So this isn't just when, when I committed to this life of, of, okay, Jesus, I, I want— I've wanted you as Savior for a long time. I've wanted that, but I never actually put you as Lord of my life. And when I repented, I changed the way I thought, and I committed to this new life. I was born again. I said, I'm no longer the, the sinful man, the nature. Now, I still have a lot of those tendencies, tendencies, believe me, but I have committed, I have decided that no matter what, I am going to commit to what Christ has for me and wants for me. And I know that by reading the word of God. Okay. First and foremost, that's why we have to be in the word because it is, it is God-breathed and it's there to correct us, to provide us direction, to train us as 2 Timothy had actually, as I read earlier. Okay. Now, when we're brand new, back to that Greek word kainos, we, we have entered the game. All right? So we're no longer trying to be something different. What we're, we're continually trained to become more of the man who God says that I am. In Galatians 5:24, Galatians 5:24 says this, that those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh. We've crucified the flesh and its passions and its desires. We've crucified it. That's— we gotta, we gotta stand on this. We have to own this, guys. In Colossians 3:5, it says we are to put to death whatever belongs to the earthly nature, the sexual immorality, the impurity, the lust, the evil, those desires within us, the greed within us. That's idolatry. That's what Colossians 3:5 tells us is that we've gotta put those things to death. And this is what picking up your cross daily looks like. When you become intentional with this, if you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ, you now belong to him. You have crucified the flesh. He has done it for us. Let me clear that up. Christ Jesus has done it for us. He is now King Jesus in our life. And, but this is an intentional act that we are in training each and every single day. It doesn't matter how long you've been walking with the Lord, you are still gonna be tempted to do these things, right? And, and this is why we have to be intentional with everything we put our eyes to, right? Every, everything the Bible tells us, the, the lust of the flesh, right? The, the pride of life. These are the things that, that are going to ensnare us if we allow them to get any sort of foothold in our life. Okay? So understand what I wanna just be clear on the identity first and foremost. If you're trying to do this apart from Christ, it ain't gonna last. I'm just gonna tell you, you're gonna experience what you may feel like success in certain aspects or maybe certain pillars of your life, whether it's in your finances, maybe even family life, maybe in your fitness. You can be extremely fit, top of your game, very disciplined in that area, but you can still have a train wreck of a home life. You— if you don't have the faith in Christ Jesus, it's all for naught. Just to be clear, like, that is the foundational pillar that, that all of us need to, need to build off of. Foundationally is like our faith in Christ Jesus first and foremost, and then we can start to build off of that these other pillars of our fitness, our family, our finances, our friendship, and our fight, right? And those are the 6 pillars that we've built our brotherhood of men that I've mentioned before, the Millionaire Man Cave, what that's actually built upon, okay? So I think one of the easiest ways for us to stop trying and start training is to start with our language. Okay. And I want this to be very practical for you guys to be able to apply into your daily life moving forward here. Our language is so important, right? So when we commit to something, no longer are we going to say, I'm trying to be a better husband, right? We're going to say something like this, like, I am a great husband in training, right? If it's like, man, I want to grow closer to God, no longer am I going to just simply say the things like, I'm, trying to get closer to God, but I'm gonna now say something along the lines of, I am a man of God in training, right? I'm not trying to be disciplined. I am disciplined and I'm training to expand that discipline, right? Because your identity is what's gonna drive the behavior in your life. Not the other way down, not the other way around, just to be clear, right? A lot of times we try to change the output when we haven't changed the input, right? The actual identity, the hardware that it's been renewed. And now we can start to very easily start with the language that we speak, because not only are other people hearing it, but it's the self-talk to ourself as well, right? If it is, I am a man of discipline at this point, and this is why, You know, we used to create in the King's Council these declarations of who we are. Even though I didn't feel like that guy all the time, I'm still not that guy all the time, but I am in training to be a man of action, a man of honor, a man of integrity. And believe me, I fall short. I fell short big time recently, and I can dwell on that. I can, I can, you know, beat myself up over that, or I can repent, right? Apologize for, ask for forgiveness, and then move forward. And that I'm going to be in training. I'm going to continually get better and better at this because this is what God's called me to do and called me to live the lifestyle worthy of righteousness right now. I'm never gonna be righteous on my own, but I am only righteous based upon being in right alignment with my Savior. Okay, this is what training actually looks like. You change your language first and foremost. Identity— we're going to start to change our language, and then we're going to start this process, right? This, this training. And it's, it's very simple, okay? It's not something crazy like committing to something that it's impossible to accomplish. For example, not— I couldn't— well, I could probably get through a marathon. I'm gonna just say that just because my, my sheer grit and pride would not allow me to not finish it. Not that that's a good thing, but that's just who I am, right? And I'm going to accomplish it. It may not be the best, right? But I'm going to accomplish it. But for most of us it is, and that sounds very prideful to even say that. I don't mean that to be like an arrogant thing to say, 'cause I do it to a fault at times, right? Because I didn't lay the proper foundation. But what I'm getting at is many of us can't go run a marathon today, but we can walk a mile, right? So when we commit to training, this is what we commit, what we're gonna commit to. Is doing what I can do today so I can do more tomorrow. When you commit to training, this is it. Do what you can do today so you can do more tomorrow. It's consistency over intensity. Consistency over intensity. 'Cause a lot of us, we get real excited real quick and we get like burning, blazing, on fire, yeah! This was me when I was 16. Like, I had 3 years of very intense, full love for Jesus. But it burnt out because I, number one, I had no discipleship in my life. I didn't, I didn't, I didn't stay consistent with my walk. It was very intense for a period of time. And then I started to wander, right? So this can be applied to anything, whether it's like, if you're gonna just commit to physical fitness, you can go blow it out the water, right? And go be sore for 3 weeks, but you're not, you didn't, nothing changed other than you just freaking tore a bunch of muscle up. And it's going to take longer to recover versus if you, if you just started with a consistent plan, a consistent strategy, no different than debt, right? If you're buried in debt, you're not going to be able to get completely out of debt tomorrow, but you can make one wise decision that will consistently habit stack on top of each other. If your marriage is struggling, you're not going to rescue your marriage tomorrow. But you can have one intentional conversation with your spouse, right? This is what training is. Small, consistent steps repeated over time. That's what leads to massive transformation in our lives. Hear this if you don't hear anything else on today's episode: successful people do consistently what other people do occasionally. I'm going to say it one more time. Successful people do consistently what other people do occasionally. This again is we're committing to training. I'm no longer trying to be successful. I'm committing to do consistently the things that other people do occasionally. And in the long run, I will be better, whatever that is, in whatever pillar of life that you want to get better in. right? Because you're no longer trying to be better, but you are committed to training. And that is the big difference, because when you're training, you don't quit when you don't feel like it, right? Or you— excuse me, you, you stop quitting when it starts to get hard, right? That's when you're in training. That's the mindset. It's like, oh, it gets hard. I'm just— I'm, I'm— I need a break. I'm gonna, I'm gonna just take a rest for a period of time. When you're training, you act and you move based upon your commitments. Not your feelings, 'cause your commitments don't give a rip about your feelings. This is why 1 Timothy 4:7, I love Paul says this, he wrote this to Timothy. He says, "To train yourself for godliness." Again, the word train. If you just do a, go to Google or AI, whatever, which, whatever one you use, and just pull up every scripture that says train or training. It's fascinating. It's fascinating. I don't see any concept of trying throughout scripture because I'm not trying to be a better husband. I'm not trying to be a more successful business guy. I'm training, right? And because I don't quit when things get hard. You are in training. Now, you may need to, if you build your life properly and you structure this training, that there is time for rest. You need to build in Sabbath. That's what God created the Sabbath, obviously to honor him, but he created it for man. It is a real biblical thing. Again, why we wanna look at the Bible as our operating manual of how life will go well for you. And you do that by committing to training because your feelings are unreliable and your commitments are ultimately gonna define who you are as a man or a woman if you're listening to this. But I preface this, I'm speaking to men here specifically. Because I believe if the man can get in right alignment with God, if you can get into right alignment, change this stinking thinking in our brain here, we have a heart transformation. Now what we have to train is our brain, right? This is why we're called to be transformed by the renewing of our mind in Romans 12:2, right? Then we're gonna be able to test what the will of God is. But if you're not transformed, and this is a continual process, it's like a present, the, I'm trying to think of the grammar language for this. It's a present tense, but it's a continual tense that we have to continually be transformed. I need some of our grammar nerds to tell me what am I referring to on that when it comes to like the connotation of the word. Our feelings are— or excuse me, back to our minds— need to be continually transformed over and over and over and over again. This is a part of our sanctification process because your commitments are going to define who you are as a man. And one thing I mentioned on, on that event a couple weeks ago, I said this, uh, and I didn't plan on saying this at all, but I said, as a man, you are modeling and I have a 14-year-old daughter, so this is where this hits so hard to me. If you have a daughter, this is going to hit hard. If you, if you don't, maybe you're like, that's a cool concept. But here's the deal. If you are, if you have a daughter, you are modeling to your daughter the type of man that she is going to marry one day. You are modeling to your daughter the type of man that she is going to marry one day because you're, you're the first man, you're the first male role model in her life? And are you doing it correctly? Do you want to be the type of man, or excuse me, are you being the type of man that you want your daughter to marry, to be led by someday? This is why we have to take this seriously, guys. It's because if it's not even for you, man, do it for your kids, right? It should be enough to do it for you based upon our just desire to please our creator, right? But also do it for your wife, do it for your kids. This is why it's so important for men to commit to this mindset of training. And this is why I want to operate in excellence in each of these 6 pillars, because I knew 6 years ago, like, God had a calling on my life. And some of you listening to this, you know that feeling, you know that sense, like it's hard to describe it, but you know there's something more, but your calling is going to require training. God will never give you a calling greater than the capacity that he can grow in you, right? You all have potential for greatness. You do. The, the where it comes into balance or where, where you have, what you are responsible for though is creating space for that calling to actually be called out because God wants to do incredibly more abundantly more than all we could ever dream or ask for. But if we're not positioning ourselves to be used by him to do those things, this is why the physical pillar, the fitness pillar that, that we have in the man cave is that like, I want to be, I don't need to have rock hard six-pack abs and like everybody to go, oh man, you are like a Greek god. I don't need that obviously. But I do want to make sure that I'm fueling my body with what's gonna make me mentally sound and sharp and not be emotional based upon just the garbage that I fed my body the night before. Right? That's just one example. It's like, I want to be used by God because I know that's one thing that I'm going to be accountable to when I meet my Savior face to face, that judgment seat of Christ. This is something that all men are— if you've received Christ, number one. If you haven't, you're going to experience the great white throne judgment. It's a whole nother podcast. But there's two judgment seats, right? The great white throne judgment. Okay. And that's— are you in or out? Like, are you— is Jesus Savior or not? Uh, and if he's not, then you don't get to experience the other one, because the judgment seat of Christ is for all believers. This is the bema seat, and this is where we are going to be held accountable for everything we did here on this earth. Fascinating study. If you just go to— go dive into it, um, or if not, I'll do— I'm gonna do an episode on that here soon to dive into that even deeper for you guys, because it's It changes your mindset. It changes your perspective on everything, every aspect of life. When you do come to that realization that, man, you are going to be held accountable one day, right? So every action you take or every action you don't take is— we are going to give an account for that. Every idle word that we spoke, you are going to give an account for that, man. And I, I— the only thing I ever want to hear is, well done, good and faithful servant. If it's not that, we failed as men. You did. If that's not what your desire is to hear, then you wouldn't even be listening to this show, right? Because I believe those who listen to this are ones that desire and hunger to be the greatest version of themselves, not for our glory, but for his glory. And that's what this life is about, right? Your calling is going to require training. And here's a wild thing too, is that Proverbs tells us that many are the plans in a man's heart, but it's the Lord's purpose that prevails. So God has a purpose for your life. You might have many, many plans. His purposes are going to prevail with or without you, with or without you. But Ephesians 2 also tells us that we are his workmanship. The Greek word for that is poema, which just where we get the word poem, right? It's like we are his poem that he is writing here and our availability, the responsibility, the accountability that we want to make ourselves available to, that is what he can continue to do to continue to write our story, to continue to write the poem that he is creating for us. So we can't drift. We can't just let life happen to us. We have to become intentional and say, no longer am I gonna do those things. No longer am I gonna give into those things. I'm putting away the idolatry in my life, the selfish desires, the lust, whatever that is. And I'm gonna commit because I'm now a man in training and I'm going to train for a life of godliness, right? Paul, Think of him. That dude was in training. And here's the thing about training. It means that you are no longer pursuing comfort in your life. Paul was— I don't know if that cat ever had comfort, right? We read every one of those stories. The dude was beat up. He was imprisoned for many of the letters that he had written, right? And that meant like he had to be uncomfortable. He had to get comfortable doing the uncomfortable. He committed to training so much so that it, like, he knew that this was the call that God had on his life. He, so he was so committed to it, right? And it, if we would just take that perspective, that mindset as men to commit to this life, here and now, it's 2026. We got it a heck of a lot easier than Paul did, right? The— but also, we have a lot more distractions. We have a lot, lot more coming at us all day long. So it's a different type of— of— man, I don't even want to call it persecution because it's not, but it's a different type of, of distraction that, that's coming against us men here in, in today's world. This is why we have to be even more intentional with the time, with the energy, the effort, everything that we're, we're putting our resources into. So as I kind of close this out today, I just wanna ask, like, are you, are you, have, does this resonate to you at all? And, and are you, are you still trying In any pillar of life, any aspect of your life, are you still taking on this doctrine of trying, right? Preloading an excuse of, well, at least I tried. Or are you ready to finally commit, to decide, to cut off any other options that I am now in training? Because trying is going to keep you stuck. You're going to be like that hamster on the wheel, just wondering why things are out, just never go your way. Right? Just wondering why, uh, man, I just can't catch a break. But training will absolutely transform your life. But here's, here's another truth to this: you, you can't go into training alone. You don't train well alone, specifically for men on this. Women, you may be a little bit better at this, although you're just naturally more, uh, outgoing and gifted at having companionship, where men, I think we can isolate a little bit, right? We don't, and the reality is if our commitments are solely based upon us, you may go hard for a while, but if you wanna go far, you gotta go together. We don't train well alone. And this is why we've built this brotherhood within, you know, our ministry is called the King's Council, but within this King's Council, we have a brotherhood of men. It's called the Millionaire Men's Club. Man Cave, which is for the men that want to commit to train daily. I'm talking daily. This isn't— I don't want this to be overwhelming to you at all because it's— it's what it means is consistency, right? We haven't— we have an app that all of us men, there's over 400 of us now within this app that we're committed to daily challenges, uh, daily, um, accountability which is incredible. This is what I think every man actually needs. But what we're committing to is not to be the best man in the group. What we're committing to is growing in all 6 pillars. I mentioned this earlier, but faith is the foundational one. And then we talk about fitness, we talk about family, we talk about friendship, right? Which is key. Sometimes it's hard for men, or we may even think we don't even want a lot of friends, but you know you do. Everybody needs a truth teller. Everybody needs a confidant. Everybody needs a ride or die in their life. I know I have my 3, but do you have yours? Right, when you commit to these pillars, again, faith, fitness, family, friendship, finances, and fight, this is what every man I think needs to, this is like, yeah, just to have the fight pillar, to fight for your family, to fight for your faith, to fight for your kids, to fight for your finances, to fight for each and every aspect of your life, it requires brotherhood, right? And not only within our community is it like just an app, right? But we have weekly coaching calls and I'm talking next level coaching. It's not just done by me, but there's multiple other, there's 12, what we call chief multipliers in the Millionaire Man Cave that have all created 8+ figure businesses that love Jesus with all their heart. And that are committed to excellence in each one of these pillars. So we have real conversations. We talk about real things that, you know, what's worked for others, and whether it's the chiefs leading the calls or what's working for the other founding members within the community. And we have in-person live events. As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, we did our like first kickoff event, but they're happening. We have another one coming up here the end of this month in Boise, Idaho. We've got a few more that are getting on the calendar here for this summer. And it's an incredible time. We got events that are gonna be happening, not like just training events, but like we're gonna go do some crazy fun stuff together as men. And this community is what I believe every man needs if you wanna commit to actually training, right? To stop trying into commit to becoming the best version of who God has called you to be. No longer am I trying, but now I'm committing to training. I'm becoming, I'm in training to become the best version of God, who God actually created me to be, right? So if you're ready to stop just cycling through life, going through the same patterns, the same motions, this, you know, we all know that's just insanity. right? But if you wanna step into who God has called you to be, I wanna invite you. Heck, I would love to even have just a personal conversation with you to see if joining the Man Cave would, would be an option to continue to help you grow in this journey, in your walk here on this earth, right? If, if it is, go to, it's very simple. You can go to joinkingscouncil.com and right there, halfway down the page, it says join the brotherhood. And guys, by the way, This is not expensive. This is not like— this is $97. It's very affordable for people to be a part of this, right? You're going to get tens and tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars worth of value out of this for $97 a month, right? It's very, very inexpensive. So it's completely minor, but we made it that way purposely, right? Because we want this to be available to every man that wants to commit to becoming the best version of who God created them to be. So check it out, go to joinkingscouncil.com and learn more about joining the brotherhood. You can also DM me on any social media platform. Happy to hop on a call with you or someone from our team to at least talk about, explore what it would look like to be a part of the Millionaire Man Cave. All right, that all being said, guys, let's commit to this. Let's commit to this. No longer am I gonna try at life. but I am committed to training the way Paul has instructed throughout scripture, that I am training to be the best version. I'm becoming the best version of who God has already called me to be. He's already, he's already laid it out, and we're just gonna help you put the building blocks together, those stepping stones to commit to this process to become the best version of who God's created you to be. We'll see you guys next week. On next week's episode.
