The words you use shape who you become. Instead of saying "I'm trying to be a better husband," say "I am a great husband in training." Identity-based language makes commitment feel like fact, not effort, and speeds up change in relationships, spirituality, and discipline.

I think one of the easiest ways for us to stop trying and start training is to start with our language. Okay? And I want this to be very practical for you guys to be able to apply into your daily life moving forward here. Our language is so important, right? So when we commit to something, no longer are we going to say, I'm trying to be a better husband, right? We're going to say something like this, like, I am a great husband in training, right? If it's like, man, I wanna grow closer to God, no longer am I gonna just simply say the things like, I'm trying to get closer to God, but I'm gonna now say something along the lines of, I am a man of God in training, right? I'm not trying to be disciplined, I am disciplined and I'm training to expand that discipline, right? Because your identity is what's gonna drive the behavior in your life.
