A short motivational YouTube talk by Phil Powis about reframing personal struggles. The speaker outlines an exercise: write the struggle honestly, then rewrite it from an empowered, responsible perspective (e.g., 'I'm a genius; I created this'), to discover constructive, uplifting insights and a brighter view of the challenge.

There is a huge power when we struggle, when we face challenges, if we change the perspectives. And there is actually a very good exercise for that. Write the struggle, write the situation on whatever you're feeling. Just be very honest. I feel this way. I struggle because of that person, because of that pain. Or usually the first version, when you tell them struggle, it's very disempowering, like you're not into your power. So write that version and read that to yourself and then just ask the question, if I could empower myself and I was responsible for that situation. You tell the same story, but from the same perspective. So just keep writing that struggle. And you could write over and over again another way of doing that. You could ask the question, like you could just begin the text that you're going to write like, I'm a genius. I created this because I'm super smart. I created the situation because then invites you to see the bright side of the struggle. And a lot of times you're going to get a beautiful sight.
