Well, hello, movers! Happy Monday! It is Monday, September 16th. If you are listening to this right away, that's good because here's the deal. In just 2 days, my course Speaking Story will close. The enrollment will close for this round. It's kind of like the fall class of 2019, and I'm really excited to be welcoming some new people into the fold, into that experience. And so, well, I've been tell— talking about stories a ton, as you know, if you've been listening over the last month. And I hope that you have gotten some really valuable content, some really valuable ideas for you as you bring your story out front. There is so much that we can talk about, but I am gonna take a moment today and just answer some questions that are specific to the course. So if you're not into the course, that's okay. Let's just fast forward to the next one. No problem, no big deal. But if you are thinking about it, I want to answer some questions for you. Okay? So right now, if you know, like, yes, I want in on this course, I've just— Sally, keep nudging me because I'm thinking about it, but here's another nudge for you. I want you to go to speakingstory.com. And when you go there, it's a whole big long sales page and you find the pathway that you wanna choose and you click the button and voilà, voilà, there you go. You are in the course and I will do a happy dance over here. But you might still be thinking, is this for me? Should I be doing this? So I wanna answer the biggest questions that I've been getting about the course. So number one, let's get right to it. Okay, let's do this. 'Cause we don't need to spend 20 minutes on this. Let's just do it. The first question that I've been getting a lot is how long will it take me to get through the course? Which is a great question. Like, is this a huge course? Is this like a month-long thing? Is this 30 days? How long will it take? But well, on the whole, it is totally self-directed. There are 2 modules that as soon as you sign up are available for you. They're right there. They're kind of foundation-laying modules to get us all on the same page. And then the 3 core modules in the course Preparing for your story, creating your story, and then sharing your story. Those 3 modules, I want us to start essentially at the same time, this fall class of 2019. So we are going to start all together essentially at the end of this week, September 20th, this Friday. We're gonna do a big kickoff party over on this Moved Me private Facebook group called The Talk Club. So it's really up to you. My guess is that each module will take, hmm, 3 or 4 hours. I would guess on average about 15 hours. That's what people have told me in the past, and that makes sense to me. Uh, some of you, like I said, are going to fly through a lot quicker. So it's really up to you. There's some homework that needs to be completed. There's lots of videos to watch, and there is some time that you're going to need to just reflect and think and make some decisions about how you want to bring this to life. But 10 to 15 hours is my guess. Okay, second question. Uh, people have said to me, "Speaking is so personal. How do you create a generic course that will apply to my specific situation?" And I love this question because my favorite answer when people ask me questions about their stories or their speaking is, "Well, that depends," because it does. It really does depend on all kinds of different factors. Well, we're gonna talk about those factors and help help you make some decisions about what is best for you given your context and your situation, your audience, your message. Okay, this course was designed to give you guideposts and structure to help you apply these expert tips and techniques to your situation. So we're going to ask all the questions, we're going to bring up all the specificities to help you personalize. Okay? To help you think through how you can make the most of these ideas for your specific moment. So the personalization, unless you want to join me for the more intensive, bigger investment group coaching or one-on-one coaching, which are two other pathways you can use with this course, if you just want to do the regular course, it's all there for you, but you're going to be doing, we're going to set you up so that you can apply it personally. To your situation. Okay, third question: What if I'm not a performer or an actor? Like, stories, I'm not comfortable with them really. I do it sort of, but are you gonna turn me into a performer, quote unquote? Well, here's my thought for you on that. Too often we thought leaders, like the Joe Jane speakers who are out there speaking because you know things, you're an expert expert, we shy away from using story for fear that we have to quote unquote perform them in some way that really doesn't feel authentic. But the truth is your personal experience, your authentic approach can be married with the craft of storytelling. And in fact, I think it's the most powerful combination. I'm not going to try and turn you into something you are not. I do want you to become more of a performer, to own the stage, to own your space, to own the moment like great performers do, but perhaps not in the way that you're thinking right now. You're gonna feel more like a performer, but it will also feel grounded in your voice and your approach. Okay, next question. How is this course different from other story courses? In other words, why take it from you, Sally Koering Zimney? So Speaking Story is, I think, a really unique combination of several things because I am a really unique combination of several things. I am a speaking coach that is totally focused on authenticity. I'm gonna bring all my expertise and knowledge to bear to give you as much structure and guidance as is helpful, but I am not rigid in the process. There is not one way to do this. Speaking is a creative process. So you need a coach that can unleash your unique voice and approach. So I think that's unique. That is unique about me. The second thing that I think is unique about me and about this course is that I'm as passionate about delivery as I am about content. Some coaches are much more focused on content and others much more focused on delivery, and I am equally passionate about both. I love how they interact with and impact each other in the process. And thirdly, I believe that mindset is a huge part of showing up with authenticity and courage, doing something powerful with the moments that we have in front of us. I don't just know stuff. I am also here to empower you, to help you take on the next big step. There we go. Okay, next question. Um, somebody asked me, well, how are you gonna help me finish this? Because I keep taking courses and not finishing them. Oh, sister, I feel you. I have been there many, many times, and sometimes the timing just isn't right, or life is offering us distractions or priorities that get in the way, and I, I totally get that. So a few things for you that I think will help you see this through to the end. This course isn't going away, so you have lifetime access. If you want to come back and finesse your stories in a year or so, you can. I'm here. Once you buy into the course, it is here for you. Okay? So that's the first thing. If the timing doesn't feel right, like if you're like in 2 months you want to work on this, great. Enrollment closes on the 18th, so get in now and then you can work on it as you're able. I've also set up a private Facebook group to help give you some additional community support and encouragement. So that group is going to be there to help cheer you on. I'm going to be super involved in that group, posting something every day to encourage you to share your homework, to lift each other up, to get advice from each other. So that group is there to help you out as well. And if you want some more serious accountability, because there's people out there I know you just want a little more handholding than that. So if you want to move beyond just the basic course, you can join a small group coaching pathway or the private coaching pathway that is going to help you personalize this content, help you make sure that you get to the end. When we've got other people in the pathway with us, it's going to happen. Okay. So if you're somebody who's like, ah, I keep buying things and not finishing them, it's worth it to spend the extra $300 to join the group coaching pathway, because that will ensure that you get to the end and you get there together. And bonus, you get to hang out with some other people and meet some other people in the process. So that would be awesome. Okay. Next question. What if I want some additional support? So that's similar to that last question. Um, So I'm gonna be doing live Q&As in the Facebook group once a week, and I will be there to offer support and encouragement all along the way. So, um, but if you're looking for beyond that, I just talked about the group coaching pathway or the private coaching pathway. Both of those are gonna offer you a lot more support. Okay. I think the basic course really does give you everything that you need to identify, prepare, create, and share a more impactful story. But sometimes, We just want some coaching or trusted feedback, a little more personalization. So if that is you, then the group coaching or private coaching might be the way to go. Another question, how much access do I get to Sally? So how involved are you, Sally? So I am obviously the instructor of the course, so I'm teaching all 50 lessons within Speaking Story. I will be in the Talk Club, the private Facebook group, every day. Offer support, encouragement, answer your questions, generally keep you motivated and engaged. And this group is gonna be active for about 6 weeks from the time the course starts, like officially starts. So really until through October, October 31st, and then we'll transition to more generic support beyond the course. This group is private to all This Moved Me students. So in addition to that support, I'll be doing those Q&As once a week. Okay? And I hope that you'll reach out because I'm here. And a lot of times I've been that person where I'm like, "I don't want to bother them, blah blah blah." Well, just bother me. Reach out. I'll be there. Okay, so as a reminder, with all of that stuff, you're getting 50 videos and along with that a slew of industry bonuses, a speaking business assessment with Amy Tomczyk, who's a speaking strategist. Can you hear that giant truck outside my door? Some PowerPoint hacks, a mini training to help you find the stories that are happening around you. There's some other stuff in there. It's so great and I'm super excited about it. The private Facebook group, the Talk Club, to really help and encourage and motivate you. And then 6 weeks of live Q&As. So if you want to know about something specifically, I'm there for you. Just throw it up and I'll be there. Okay, my friends. Those are the questions that people have been asking about the Speaking Story course. If you're hearing this, it's Monday. It closes on Wednesday. Now is the time. Okay, let's do this. Okay. Enrollment's open for 2 more days. Let's get at it. Let's do this. Okay, movers. Check you later. Bye.
