Hey movers, it's Sally Z with Be Moved. Let's go create some talks that will move this world. We're going to talk with amazing speakers, share tips, tricks, resources, and we are going to be moved so that our audience can be moved. This moved me. What is moving You. Today we are going to be talking about some tools that I use, 4 of them. I'm gonna talk you through 4 tools that I use almost every day that help me show up and speak my story. It helps me be visible. It helps me do what I do. And all of you are also in the business of trying to get better at Speaking, at showing up out front, at putting together ultimate speech that will help you grow your authority, your revenue, and your audience. These are all things that we are, want to be doing and are going to be doing more. And these tools can help you get there because part of what we do when ultimately we're like, I see myself being one of those people who can influence from the stage. I see myself as somebody who, even if I'm not quite sure how to get there yet, I look at that stage and I think, mm, I want that. I want that at some point. I don't know how to get there, but I want that at some point. If that is you, then it's great that we're starting right now with this concept of showing up and being visible because people need to see your voice. See your voice. People need to see your face and hear your voice. And when they do that consistently, it builds trust, it builds authority, and it builds connection. If you want prompts, if you want a little more handholding, if you want specific tips, like every day you're gonna do this, are you ready? Go talk about this and do it in this way. And here, this might help. Then this is the path to do that. bmoov.com/ Be Visible. That is the email series. And it's very simple. 15 minutes or less is going to help you build those muscles so that you can build that connection and authority as you start putting yourself out front more. I hope everybody has had a great week so far. On Tuesday, we did a live talking about the mindsets. I gave you 12 different mindsets that might help you get over whatever hurdles might be in your way as you are showing up in front of your audience more. Okay. And I think those are important. I go to them again and again. I've been using them a lot because I have been kind of in a hidey place in my own business. Just a lot of the toil, the toil. Oh my gosh, Sally. Yes, I speak for a living. The soil has been tilled. I've been tilling the soil and that just means a lot is coming up and that's good. That's part of, part of this work, but it's also kind of exhausting. I'm also over on TikTok this week. That has been my focus as I'm being visible and I'm encouraging all of you to be visible. That's where I have been living. So if you are not yet on TikTok and want to follow me on TikTok, I just want to invite you. I'm posting 7 videos a day right now. So this is just my own accountability on this Be Visible Challenge. On TikTok, we're Speaking Sally Zimney. I have 13 followers. 13! Help me! Come over there, please, won't you? But lots of videos. And they're kind of fun. I've had a really good time. What an awesome challenge to take on to, for myself, tackle the technology, learn the new editing software. I mean, it is a bit of an uphill battle, but I'm doing it and I hope you are doing the same. So this is going to be fun because I am excited to share with you these tools that I use literally every day in order for me to do my work of using my voice, sharing my face, getting out there, being present with my audience and being of service to them. That is really what we're doing when we're being visible. We're showing up and being of service. So to do that well, and to do that at a professional level, I have adopted some tools. The first one I wanna talk to you about is the one that I am using right now. It is all through a program called Ecamm Live. So Ecamm is this, it's, it's a, it's fairly intuitive and the online training and help area has been awesome, but Ecamm has really up-leveled my presence because I go live a lot. As you all know, I use it in my virtual keynotes. You can use it inside Zoom. So when I'm going, when I'm doing a virtual keynote or a workshop or all the different ways that you're really serving your audience, I'm doing it through Ecamm. Now, if you use, and some of these I do have affiliate links for, I do have an affiliate link for Ecamm, and I think it gets you a free 14-day trial with Ecamm. So it might be worth giving a try. Also, a speaker of mine started using mm-hmm. Recently. I don't know anything about mmhmm, but I guess it's very similar. The thing with Ecamm right here is that you do need to be a Mac user in order to use it. So if you're not a Mac person, check out mmhmm. But this right here, bemoove.com/ecamm, will get you, I think, 2 free weeks to try it out. Check it out. That is the first tool. You can do all kinds of really cool stuff with Ecamm. I'm a big fan. I love it. And the pros that I know who are doing very high-level keynoting, this is what they use as well. Okay. The second tool I want to share with you is Canva. Okay. Now I'm sure you all know about Canva. Canva is— a lot of people think of it as like a social media tool. And yes, you can build beautiful graphics inside Canva. I think it is so easy to use. It's so intuitive. Makes me feel like a designer. It sets you up in all kinds of incredibly powerful ways. I'm just a fan. I'm a huge fan. And recently they really started investing in the presentation platform slide side of the Canva business. And what that means is no more PowerPoint, my friends. Now I know some of you here are big PowerPoint fans. We've got a few PowerPoint MVPs in the group. Cool. You keep doing your thing. PowerPoint to me is operating at a level that is not accessible for most people. If it's too complicated for me, it's too complicated for my speakers. And too many PowerPoints just look crappy because people don't really know how to use the tool. People who know how to use that tool can do beautiful, incredible things with it. For the rest of us humans, I am all about Canva. Let me tell you a story. Okay. I was doing a keynote at a college. Oh, I don't know, maybe a few months ago. And I showed up there. They didn't have their tech people there. It was kind of like I was left on my own to set everything up. Now, most of the time I've been in this situation many, many times and I figured it out. But I was not able to use the desktop version of what I had downloaded. Okay. My, I never depend on internet access, but for some reason the desktop version of my PowerPoint wouldn't work. I, I was told bring it as a PowerPoint and I was like, hey, if I can have internet access, I can do this, but it's not through PowerPoint. So it's like, great, let's do that. So the beautiful thing about Canva is you can use it on the internet. Now, assuming that your bandwidth is great, there are some, there are some limitations, just like there's limitations with everything, but Canva makes everything so easy. It looks beautiful so much faster and so much more easily. You can make everything look like your brand so easily. You can make wholesale changes, like change all the font, change all the colors, change— it's just, it's so, it's so great. Now, I am not a Canva expert. I am just a very avid Canva user. And so if you don't use Canva for your presentations, I just want to encourage you to try it. Part of what we do as speakers is also show up on social, right? Part of how we're be— being visible is by being consistently external in our business. It's not heads down. We're like, here we are. This is what I think. This is what I believe. Here are my stories. Okay. That whole idea. As we are external, we want graphic support because it's part of how we communicate our brand. Canva. Does that so, so beautifully. So this is also an affiliate link. I do wanna tell you that, but if you go to bemoved.com/canva, you also get a free trial into their Pro version. So that's what I use. Pro allows you additional access to tools. It allows you to work with other people on it. Like if there's a team of people who can join you in Canva. So if you have a VA, you can build some stuff in Canva. They can work with you on that. So Canva, I'm a fan. I'm just scratching the surface and I use it all the time, every day. But I do follow a few people online who are Canva experts and I'm— my mind is constantly blown. So the guy who started this, this is a little bit of a random fact from Sally. I'm trying to remember his name. He has a podcast called like Remarkable People. What is his name? Guy Kawasaki. Okay. Right. Yeah, I think that's right. Guy Kawasaki is one of the owners, might be the CEO of Canva. Anyway, he is helping take this program, this app, this community, everything that's possible with Canva to a whole new level. So they're constantly adding things. And once you get into it, your mind will be blown. Love it. Love it. Love it. Okay. So we've got Ecamm. We've got Canva. I've got 2 more for you. And both of them have been game changers for me in terms of how I'm able to create so much content. I get asked that question a lot. How do you make so much content? I feel like you're just always making content. Now I don't do all of it myself. My amazing VA Allison helps me a lot. But this is, this is a testament to how easy this tool is. So there's a tool called Descript. Now Descript is a, an editing software that allows you to edit text that edits the video. What I can do is I can literally pull things out and edit via text, which makes the editing so much faster and so much easier. If I could get a— I'm going to look and see if I can get a deal for you all on Descript. I'm going to see if I can do that because it is such an incredible tool. It— one of my favorite things that you can do is you can listen to this so I can play back when I'm editing, I can play back super, super fast, which when you're, especially when you're editing things, it allows you to move through things so much faster. So you can see it at the same time and you can just wholesale pull out sections so much more easily because you know what all the little things on the bottom actually stand for. So it is more complicated than that. And like I said, I am not an expert in how to use these tools, but what I can tell you is even using it at the very basic level has been game-changing for me. Game-changing. Game-changing. You understand this, right? Game-changing. Have I made that clear enough? This tool is unbelievable. It's so cool. I need to invest in it. Actually, let me just write that down. I'm not a financial advisor. Don't take my financial advice on this, but seriously, it's going somewhere. So we've got Ecamm, Canva, Descript, and this fourth tool that I want to talk to you about is actually on my phone. Now, this tool I think was recommended to me by Los Whitaker. If you ever follow Carlos Whitaker online, he does, he makes a lot of content also that he shares mostly on Instagram. But this is a really simple editing program for your phone. I like it a lot. Okay. So you open it up and what you can do. So I've been working on a lot of different stuff lately, right? You make a new project. Here's the part I want to show you. You can, you know, pick a few things that you're going to add into the project. You title it. You title it. Okay. And then here's the part I want you to see. You can choose the aspect ratio for it. So you can say, okay, I want to make this for TikTok and, or no, I'm going to make a Reel. Actually, I want to make an Instagram Story, right? So it, it updates all the needed aspect ratios for this, which is really cool. And after you create it, you can go back and change the aspect ratio and redownload it in a different format as well. So it's just very easy to use. I only use things that are easy to use because I get very overwhelmed and frustrated by technology. And this one is easy. I have to tell you, I'm in this TikTok challenge and I'm working really hard to try out this platform and give it a go. Partly because as I'm talking to my speakers about being visible and showing up, Ah, that I've gotta do the same thing. Something I've been thinking about. I'm really enjoying it, but the editing inside the app has been hard for me. I'd love to hear from all of you if it's, if you're on TikTok, if you enjoy TikTok, and if you have figured out the editing side of this, I'm sure it's just, you have gotta think in a new way and it's just got the new, new nuances. That I haven't yet figured out. But for now, I like to do a lot of the really, you know, picky editing in Splice. That is the name of this. Did I even tell you what the name of this app is? It's called Splice, S-P-L-I-C-E. Um, I think maybe it's like $4 a month. So there are— Descript, I think, is $15 a month. There are some fees for these things. I think Canva is maybe like a per head on your team. So I don't know the details on all of the costs associated with these, but I will tell you, I use them all every day. And those would not be the things that I cut if I was looking to cut back because, because I use them and I need them and they have all made my life a little bit easier. And that's what I'm looking for. That's what we're all looking for. What's going to make our lives a little bit easier? How can we lower the bar on what keeps us from stepping out front? What keeps us from serving our audience? Ultimately, showing our face, speaking our words, and serving our audience. That's what the goal is. So hopefully today you have found something that you want to try and check out. Either Ecamm, Canva. Descript, or Splice. Okay, those are the 4 I, I wanted to share with you today, 4 tools that help me show up for my audience and serve them well, and I hope they are helpful to you as well. All right, team, have an awesome rest of your day.
