In this testimonial, recruiter Chris explains how his previous outbound approach—posting generic LinkedIn updates and sending mass DMs—yielded little engagement and required excessive time. After partnering with a support team, he switched to an inbound-focused strategy, redesigning his candidate messaging and allowing prospects to come to him. The change has transformed his workload from chase‑heavy to inbound‑heavy, leading to a current revenue of about £60,000, an active pipeline worth $40‑$50K, and a projected intake of £100‑£130K by mid‑year. Chris still conducts headhunting, but his mindset and outreach tone have shifted dramatically. He emphasizes the strong return on investment and the positive working relationship with the team.

I had plenty of clients, loads of jobs, but candidate attraction was time-consuming from the point of view of, I suppose, the posts that I was doing on LinkedIn, sending people kind of DMs. You know, I was having to do a lot of work around that and it was all outbound. You know, it was kind of all me kind of doing that. You know, posts on LinkedIn, you know, were, I suppose when I look back at it now, were terrible. You know, from the point of view of they were pretty much the same as everyone else. You know, this is my job, this is my client, this is what you'll be doing, this is what you'll get paid, drop me a message. You know, it was pretty straightforward. And I wasn't getting much traction on LinkedIn. Yeah, there was very little kind of interaction on my posts, you know, as far as likes, comments, stuff like that. I always felt that I could probably be doing something more and that there was maybe another way to kind of attract people in, having more inbound coming to me, you know, Time is, is obviously a massive thing. And I just thought there's got to be a better way of getting people coming to me rather than me having to chase people all the time. Revenue-wise, like I said, it's probably at £60K now. But as far as pipeline is concerned, there's probably Well, I suppose if you look at it from clients that I've picked up and roles that I've got on, there's probably another $40K, $50K kind of live at the minute. Some of those clients are gonna be doing multiple kind of rounds of hiring this year. So yeah, You know, the kind of pipeline I would be very surprised if I don't do at least 100K, 130K probably by the middle of the year, just off the back of kind of what I've done with you guys. So yeah, the pipeline's massive. You know, it's, And it's just, even though I'm probably, I'm probably just as bloody busy as I was beforehand, but it's a different type of busy because it's coming inwards rather than me having to chase it, which is making a massive difference. Yeah, you know, I'll still headhunt, I'll still chase people. But it's also, it's kind of changed my mindset as far as when I do send people a direct message that I think, you know, they could be potentially good for a role. The way that I frame kind of the message is again completely changed. If you're a recruiter or or a business owner that's looking to attract candidates, whatever it might be. If like me, you were kind of struggling to bring inbound kind of leads or candidates, this has completely changed my approach and it works. It works. So your return on investment is is going to be massive. And plus, you're not a bad pair of people to work with. So, you know, I suppose that'll help as well.
