Want More Sales On LinkedIn? These 4 Things could Be Stopping You...

Sam and his twin Ben say they've helped recruiters make over £3 million on LinkedIn. Four things block sales: failing to stand out from competitors, posting generic content instead of specific value, not sending enough daily connection requests (he recommends 5-20), and not posting or messaging frequently enough to sustain leads.

Here are 4 reasons why you're probably not making sales on LinkedIn. Hey, you might know me, you might not. My name's Sam, I have a twin brother called Ben, and together we've helped recruiters make over £3 million on this platform. And today I wanted to give you 4 of the biggest reasons that I've seen again and again of why recruiters aren't making enough sales on the platform. So the first reason is they haven't positioned themselves correctly in the market. As more and more recruiters start using the online world to build their business, there are just more and more of you that look exactly the same. And if you all look the same from the outside, guys, your potential clients will be looking at you and your competitors and putting you in exactly the same bucket. In their eyes, they have the choice between 100 different recruiters, all of which are going to offer them a similar experience. And you can guess what happens next— they will end up choosing their recruitment partner based on price. You see, when you're positioned correctly in the marketplace, you own a greater part of your potential customer's mind. In their eyes, someone like you doesn't come around very often, and we want them to know that what you offer is truly unique. It is not a commodity. And when you get that positioning right, that's when you'll have more people reaching out to you, wanting to work with you, and paying higher prices. Number 2 is that your content might just be too generic. A picture of their cute little dog, the food they had in that lovely restaurant, or that epic event they went to the other night. The only problem with posting too much of this type of content, guys, is that you are casting a wider net. Every man and his dog can relate to those types of posts. You could have lots of different people looking at your content, but they might not be the right people. And so the answer is, when we create more specific types of content, we are attracting specific types of people. When you find the right balance between specific content and generic content, that's when you'll start getting more people reaching out to you and getting more business. Reason number 3: you're not inviting enough people into your network. Ben and I have noticed a direct correlation between the amount of people you are inviting into your network on a daily basis and the amount of sales that you're getting. If you're not getting enough sales, I suggest you start inviting anywhere between 5 and 20 of your target audience into your network every single day. If you're surrounded with more of the right people, you have a higher chance of getting someone to buy. Simple maths. Reason number 4, you're not doing enough volume. I already know what you're thinking, guys. I don't want to do volume because I don't want to come across as a spam your recruiter, but I can tell you now there will always be a certain amount of volume you need to put in in order to get the results that you want to see. For instance, you can't post once a week and expect to build up an audience and get inbound leads, and you can't send 10 messages a week and expect to have calls coming out of your ears. If this sounds like the volume you're putting in at the moment and you're expecting to get results, then I'm afraid to say something definitely needs to change. Keep challenging yourself, stay focused, and up the volume. You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish if you just push yourself. And there you have it, guys, the 4 reasons why you might not be making enough sales on LinkedIn. Um, I'm gonna go have a cup of tea and a sandwich. I'll see you later.
