In this 30‑minute video, a clinician performs a dorsal cervical fat pad (buffalo hump) reduction on an awake patient under local anesthesia. The patient is positioned prone, numbed, and the surgeon uses a laser to liquefy the fat before performing layer‑by‑layer liposuction. The fat is aspirated into a canister, and the surgeon narrates each step, showing the transition from a prominent bulge to a flat contour. The procedure concludes with the placement of a compression garment to support the new shape. The tone is instructional and reassuring, emphasizing the simplicity, safety, and immediate visual results of the technique.

All right, happy Friday. We got a nice case here today. Today we're doing what's called buffalo hump reduction. So it's this zone right here that's bothering her. So this hump has gotta go and we're gonna get rid of this today. It's gonna be really nice and easy. It'll be over in about 30 minutes. Right now she's face down. She's awake. We just have her covered, but we're gonna be working on this area right here. This is gonna be going down. Now she's relaxed here. Give me a thumbs up. Perfect. So she's all numb here. We're just letting it settle in. We're gonna do some lasering next. Lasering the fat now. It's helping melt it, breaking it up. It's really getting it ready for removal. Up the lasering part now, and you can see I haven't even removed any fat yet, but it's already starting to come out. So it's getting broken up, it's more liquefied, and so we're gonna be able to get all of it. We're sculpting the fat down now, so this is layer by layer. We're gonna get this nice and flat. It's gonna look really good. That's the fat going in the canister. It's great. It's coming out of the hump and into the canister. If you remember the pre-op view, there's a nice bulge there. Now it's nice and flat all in here. It looks really good. So happy. We're all done. We got her in a compression garment now, so this squeezes around the front. This is the back. We've taken down in this area. She's got a lot of padding there, but it's already gone down.
