Hi everyone. Here's an all too familiar photo of what happens to the lips once we age. What ends up happening is we lose volume in the pink part of the lips, which causes pleating in the area above it. So you see these vertical lines here, and what some injectors do is they'll inject right into those vertical lines. I don't like that look because it ends up adding bulk above the lips, What really needs to be done is volume needs to be put here and to rehydrate and revolumize the actual pink part of the lips. When you do that, then these pleats soften or disappear completely. And here is the after photo of those same lips. It is an immediate after. You can see how there is a little bit of softening of the pleating, This border will go down and soften over time, and the lips will look nice and hydrated. If she wants more filler, more filler certainly can be put in. We usually wait about 1 month before we go ahead and reinject the lips.
