In this instructional video Dr. Sarah Yovino of Ideal Face and Body walks a client through the complete after‑care regimen for the Perfect Derma Peel. She outlines a seven‑day timeline: Day 1 the peel remains on the skin; Day 2 the client uses a half‑dose of a gentle cleanser and applies post‑peel towelettes twice (morning and night) while avoiding the corners of the mouth; Day 3 the skin feels dry and tight and the first signs of peeling appear around high‑movement areas. Days 4‑5 are the peak peeling period, with possible residual flaking on Day 6, and the process should be fully resolved by Day 7. Dr. Yovino stresses avoiding heat, vigorous exercise, hot showers, and sweating to prevent blistering, and advises against picking or pulling the peeling skin. Instead she recommends sanitizing a pair of nail scissors and trimming loose skin. She also directs the client to use the supplied post‑peel moisturizer containing hydrocortisone and to apply the provided SPF 30 sunscreen on the new skin. Retinoids may be resumed after Day 7 and facials after Day 10. A printed instruction sheet in the product box recaps these steps.

Hello, Dr. Sarah here from Ideal Face and Body in Beverly Hills, California. If you're watching this video, you just had the Perfect Peel, and I am going to go over your post-peel care. First, today I would have applied the peel on you, and for the rest of the day you're going to basically do nothing. You're gonna leave the peel on your face until tomorrow morning. Starting tomorrow morning, you're gonna have your first homework. Your homework is going to be to cleanse your face in the morning with half of this cleanser. I suggest you cut the corner off, you take half the cleanser off, you wash your face, rinse the cleanser, and pat your skin dry. After that, you're gonna take one of these post-peel towelettes, you're gonna take it out of the packaging, rub it on your face and skin, And then flip it over, do that side, then turn it inside out. You're gonna rub that, flip it, and then you're gonna open it slowly and continue to rub it on until it is dry. Once it's dry, you're gonna discard that. So you're gonna be doing that process twice, one in the morning and one right before you go to bed. My suggestion is you do it about an hour before you go to sleep so that it dries on your skin and not on your pillow. Okay. So that is day 2. So day 1, I apply the peel. Day 2, you apply the towelettes. Day 3, you're just going to wash your face with a gentle cleanser, and it's going to feel very dry and tight. At the end of day 3, you might notice the initial peeling of the skin around the corners of your mouth or around the corners of your nose where there's a high movement area of the face. Oh, one thing I left out. When you use the towelette on the second day, just avoid the corners of your mouth. You don't want them to get very dry, um, and crack. It couldn't be a little bit painful. So you are going to be doing that for the first, um, day as I apply the peel. The second day, towelettes. Third day, dry, and you start to peel in the evening. You will have the majority of your peeling all day 4 and all day 5. By day 4, it's going to peel to about here. Day 5 will be the rest of the face. Day 6 might be a little residual in the hairline. Um, just make sure you do not pull or pick any of the pieces, or you can damage your skin and hyperpigment. It can be extremely painful. My suggestion is, once you— the peeling starts, you get a pair of nail scissors, you alcohol the tips of them and clean them very well, and as the skin starts to separate, you You trim it close to your face. Another important thing is, for the initial few days until the peeling starts, you do not wanna trap heat underneath the peel or you can blister. So you wanna avoid jacuzziing, exercises, like vigorous exercise, a hot jacuzzi, or a steaming hot shower. You don't wanna increase your body temperature to the point where you're sweating, 'cause you can trap heat underneath the peel. And it can cause you to blister. Um, once you have fresh skin on, like your— the peel starts and you have fresh skin, on the fresh skin you're going to be using this post-peel moisturizer. The post-peel moisturizer contains hydrocortisone, and it is going to calm down your fresh, beautiful new skin. You will also use this SPF 30 that comes in the box. as well. Your whole peeling process should finish by day 7. If you want to resume your retinols and things like that at that point, it is fine, you can do that. If you want to have a facial, it's okay to have it by day 10. In case you forgot everything I said, it is here in this little instruction, um, post-peel instructions that comes in the box as well.
