In this clinic video Dr. Sarah Yovino performs the "Perfect Peel" chemical peel on a new patient. She begins by degreasing the skin with acetone, then applies the peel using multiple gauze passes (typically 7‑8) across the forehead and face, describing a specific pattern to ensure even coverage and noting the visual cue of frosting as an indicator of peel depth. The clinician checks in with the patient about stinging versus tingling sensations, confirming tolerability throughout. After the final application, she explains the optional Clear Booster, which intensifies the peel to further reduce pore size and improve scar appearance, and recommends a series of three monthly treatments for optimal results. Detailed post‑peel aftercare is outlined: leave the peel on at least six hours (preferably until the next morning), avoid hot showers, vigorous exercise, and jacuzzi use until peeling begins; use the Perfect Cleanser split in half with post‑peel towelettes in the morning and night, followed by a post‑peel moisturizer and daily sunscreen. She advises patients to expect visible peeling 48‑72 hours after treatment, to avoid picking or trimming flaking skin to prevent hyperpigmentation, and to monitor for any adverse reactions.

Hi everyone, so we're gonna do the Perfect Peel again, this time on our new lovely patient here. And right now I am just degreasing her skin with acetone so the peel will set in nicely. Done with all the acetone, and now we're gonna start the peel. We first start with the forehead. You're gonna feel a little bit of stinging here, and that is normal, but usually it's very, very tolerable. How is that so far? It feels good. Yeah? Okay, great. So we're just gonna go over your skin in a nice even pattern here until all the peel has been absorbed in. It takes about 8 or so, 7, 8 passes of re-dipping and applying the peel again, re-dipping and applying the peel again. Okay? So we're gonna start pass number 2. This is the second time I dipped this gauze into the peel. You can see that her right side is a little more red and pink than her left. And that's because I started this way. It's kind of like highlights for hair. You know, if this side has longer to process, it lightens more than that side. It's the same thing with the peel. This side had a little more of the peel on it, and so it's a little redder than this side. So then the second pass, I start on the left— I mean, on the right side, and I'll work my way to the left to even it out. So this is a third pass now. I'm gonna first start by putting a little bit on her skin here, and then this is the time that I'm gonna actually incorporate her eyes into this. So I'm going to have her close her eyes and I'm going to do 1, 2, 3 over the top lid. And open. I'm going to do 1, 2, 3 on the bottom. And that's the only time that I'm going to go around her eyes. Otherwise, the peel just goes for the face. And up. 1, 2, 3. And I'm going to try to go as close to the lash line as possible. How's that? It's good. Good? Okay, perfect. So this is the 4th round now. You can see a little bit right here that she's starting to frost, which means she's probably gonna have a nice peel right here. The more frosting you see, the more she's gonna end up peeling, and she may have 2 rounds of peeling because of that. On the 5th application of the peel now. Gonna do it again. Actually, with her, she only has a teeny bit of peel left, so we may be done at 6, maybe 7 applications. So we're gonna keep doing it until it's all done. So round number 6, round number 6, how tolerable is it? It's good. Good? Does it burn a lot? No, not really. No? What do you experience? What do you think? It was tingly at first, but now I'm comfortable. Okay, tingly or stingy or like would you— Tingly. Tingly? Okay, that's good, that's not bad. Perfect. Okay, this is the last one. So on her it took 7 applications. We're just gonna do the last set here. It probably now feels like, you know, I'm rubbing her skin a little rough or hard, but that's what really gets the peel to soak in nicely, and it will slough all of this off. She decided to go with the Clear Booster, which will— is— it makes the peel even stronger, so she will peel off even more. It will help decrease all the pore sizes and shrink some of her scars here. And with the first application, you should— she should probably do A series of 3 once a month to really get the best and achieve the best results. But it will tighten, brighten, and whiten her skin. So we're all done with the peel. You can see that she's nice and red, and now it is a wait-and-see game. So tomorrow she— she's not going to touch the peel right now. She's going to leave it on for at least 6 hours. I tell the patients to leave it on until tomorrow morning. Um, but if you're like really like, I need to get this off, or you feel like you're having a reaction, at least hopefully it's beyond 6 hours from right now. Okay, but try to leave it on till tomorrow. Um, tomorrow she will— she'll get this, uh, post, uh, the Perfect Cleanser. She will split it in half, use half of it tomorrow morning. If you decide to take a shower, not a steaming hot shower. It will be like a nice lukewarm one. You do not want to get this hot. No vigorous exercise, no jacuzzi. Okay. Until you start to peel, okay? Then you can get in a warmer shower. But until then, you don't want to trap the heat. You can blister, okay? You're going to use half of this in the morning and then one of these post-peel towelettes. You're going to put it all over your face until it's dry, okay? After that, you'll have a post-peel moisturizer. So, so the post— the Perfect Cleanser in the morning with the towelette, another wash your face again at night, use the towelette again 30 minutes before you sleep. You want this to soak into your skin, not in the sheets or the pillow, okay? Um, you will have a post-peel moisturizer. You will start to feel a little dry, and your skin will dry and then start to flake. Moisturize, moisturize, okay? Always put on sunscreen wherever you go. Um, you should expect to peel 48 hours to 72 hours from now, okay? And then it should slough off within, um, typically 2 to 3 days after that. Okay. Pull, pick, or prematurely remove the flaps, okay? You can trim it if it starts to get long. You can trim it around, but do not— you will hyperpigment, okay? And so you're all done. Yay! Yay, thank you!
