The Scott Adams School - 05/08/26 UFO DAY! BJ Dichter Joins Us

Morning, good morning everyone.

We have a new name for our Friday shows. No, I'm kidding, it's something else.

It's BJ Friday.

BJ Friday. But I liked mine, Marcela, if BJ's on here. Okay, so welcome in everybody. It's Friday if you haven't heard. It is May 8th. Oh my goodness. Oh, is Mother's Day this weekend, you guys?

Yes.

Uh-oh, Mom. Sorry.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers.

I didn't send anything, Mom. Okay, so there, I got that out of the way. So listen, you guys, we have a special clip today. I mean, the odds of this clip landing on the day it was supposed to land on was slim to none, so let's just have it today. So not only is it UFO Day, we're gonna pretend It's Valentine's Day.

A special Valentine's version of the simultaneous sip. What makes it special, you ask? Well, you're gonna have to wait and see, but I think you'll agree it's pretty special. And all you need is a cup or a mug or a glass, a tank or chalice or stein, a canteen, jug, or flask, a vessel of any kind. Fill it with your favorite liquid. Could be hot chocolate today, but I like coffee. And join me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine hit of the day, the thing that makes everything better, the simultaneous sip Valentine version. Go!

Mmm.

Yes, just as I suspected. When you match the subtle undertones of Valentine's Day with the exceptional flavors and pungency of the simultaneity, I think it makes a lovely bouquet. And you don't have to hate me for that. I hate myself just for saying that sentence.

He's like, what the hell did I just say? So happy Valentine's UFO Friday, everybody. I am Erica I'm joined by our regular co-hosts Marcella and Owen, and our favorite returning news co-host BJ. BJ's in the house, Honking for Freedom, our friend from Canada. If you haven't met him yet, check out honkingforfreedom.com. Okay, so you guys, it's UFO day. I'm so excited. Did any big news come out yet? I didn't see anything hot off the presses yet this morning. But I am on alert all day. So we have a few UFO clips. Nobody's seen them yet unless you watched Rogan. And let's just start right away. We're going to play a clip. We're going to chat. That's the Friday flavor. So one of my favorites, Tim Burchett, who's like all over this UFO stuff. He was just on Rogan. Now, Joe Rogan loves nothing more than fantasizing about what could be out there in the world. So I love that he had Burchett on. I'm wondering if Tim Dillon told him to, uh, go on there. But anyway, let's play our first clip and then we'll talk about it after.

Well, I'm sure you're aware of this narrative about the missing scientists and scientists that have turned up dead and been killed.

100%. That's real. I think, um, I have a theory on that. All right, I know it's, it's a little dangerous to throw these things out, but— and I, and I, I was on maybe Fox one time and I just came up with this. I say, say your family's mobbed up, okay? And y'all own a nice Italian restaurant, and it's world-renowned, and you're, you're busting at the seams, you know, and you're franchising and putting out cookbooks and everything. You got this one chef who's, who's the kingpin of all of it, but you're afraid he's talking to your competitors. Now, you don't bump him off. What you do is you rough up a few of the busboys, and that sends a quick dadgum message that you need to shut your mouth. And timing is everything, and nothing happens by accident in Washington, D.C. To me, I think it's the timing is uncanny. You got a president, you know, we've had these hearings in Washington. You have a president that says he's going to release stuff, and all in that same time frame before and after that, you're having some of these high-ranking officials disappear. And to me, that's— nobody disappears in this country unless they, they want to disappear. You know, there's cameras everywhere. And it just, to me, it's just, um, it reeks of a deep state sewer.

Yeah, I thought one of the things that I thought of is one of the subjects that these people were—

they're all working on different things, but they're working on alternative energy sources.

Yeah, that's, that's the That's the— I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off, but that's what ties them together. Yeah.

Mm. All right. So I do, you know, I do think that is a— I can't say the word coincidence. We're not supposed to say coincidence, but isn't it odd? So, I mean, it is. It's always the timing, just like, you know, we'll talk about it for a second later. But, you know, a virus is out there again and, you know, elections will be coming up and blah blah blah and the whole thing. So I mean, it is, it is suspicious. Um, I know we all have different feelings about this, and I did not prep you guys to discuss this, but you know, what are your just off-the-cuff thoughts? BJ, I'm going to come to you first about the correlation of releasing these things. And so my thought was, listening to Burchett, was maybe some of these people just wanted to get lost before they got involved in anything. And what he was implying was that maybe our— not our friends, like maybe China. I'm just, you know, uh-oh, sorry, Marcela. Like maybe China or somebody was like, hey, they have the information we want, and so we're going to take them. So just off the cuff, BJ, what do you think?

Uh, I don't know. It's— you're not going to be surprised, but I'm skeptical. And the reason is You know, I had somebody who was, should we say, mobbed up, that I knew from the age of, well, since my bris, since I was a little kid, and grew up learning through his eyes how the world actually works and some fascinating stories. I think a lot of us get the impression of how things work from the Hollywood movie bias, and things are a lot more subtle and a lot more sophisticated and a lot less brazen than we're led to believe. So this is why all the correlation stuff, I'm like, nah, that's not how the world works. And, uh, so I'm not, I'm not into it. You know, something I can recommend, there is a, a very good podcast, conservative podcast called, um, Red Pilled America, and they just did a series on the conspiracy economy and in their opinion what has really invaded the conservative space. Uh, it's fantastic, you should watch it. But I think that is— that's what this, uh, I would categorize this under that, um, under that class. I don't, uh, I'm not into correlation, you know, correlation does not imply causation. And I think we're just doing a little bit too much of that, in my opinion. I could be— I'm open to being completely wrong Yeah, it's just kind of how I see things.

I know Scott, you know, Scott didn't believe in the whole UFO alien thing, but the missing scientist thing or dead scientist thing to me just strikes a different chord. I don't know. I mean, oh, I'm going to get in so much trouble today if I say the things I want to say. I got to like— Do it.

Say it. It's fun.

I'm just, you know. Oh, God. Hold on. You know, like, let's just— what some people call, like, Spain is her opinion. It's my opinion.

People are just listening.

And allegedly, I have no knowledge of this, but you know, like, even like, you know, what they called the Clinton body count. I mean, come on, you know, it's— I'm just saying, like, it's weird. It's just weird.

Wasn't it Scott Adams who said accurately that when, you know, you're world famous, you know a lot of people? So it becomes really easy to correlate just about anyone in the world, you know. I think that's what we're saying, maybe.

All right, Marcella, I, I, I know where you're going to go, but let's go. What do you think?

Um, you know, one of the things that I was— while you guys were talking, I was thinking something that, that Scott Adams would always say. Maybe they're trying to— what was it— crack in— like, timber shed is very important in the house. And, um, what they're trying to feed him is maybe this information so that he can look less serious for other, other things that he talks about. Um, so that's one of the theories that Scott Adams had about Tucker, that some of the things that he talks about, um, were fed to him and made— and he was made to believe them in order to make him look less, uh, credible, honest, or less professional. I don't know what you would call it, what Scott would remember, but, um, well, that's what I would think.

The Kraken related to Sidney Powell, who was, um, pointing out things that she had found about Venezuela being involved in rigging the voting machines, and he was like, nope, nope, nope, Nope, nope, nope. And I was like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, no, you're, you know, like, you're getting dribs and drabs. And turns out the Kraken was real. So yeah, never— well, no, it is. I mean, like, they—

it's alleged, it's alleged, it's not proven.

Holding up alleged right now. I'll just say it's still my opinion because I actually, like, really follow this story. And so I think my opinion is going to end up being right, but that's also just my opinion. All right, Owen, I'm coming to you now. So, you know, how are you feeling?

First, I would say there are, there are actually files out there now. I'm looking at war.gov/ufo and there's 161 files that have been dropped there. Yeah, um, they look like they're all released just today, so fresh, fresh stuff out there. I don't know that anyone's had much time to go through it all, but I see a bunch of videos, a bunch of PDF files. Um, I opened the first PDF file, it was kind of like some old crinkly paper brown documents and it I think it looks like a lot of the PDF files are just like reports that people have made of seeing UAPs or UFOs. And then there, there are a bunch of videos, but I'm scrolling through them and they're all kind of grainy little dots going around on the screen. So I don't see anything that's like a smoking gun, oh my God, aliens are here. It's just more like, here's some of the reports we have, here's some of the things we've captured that look weird, but it doesn't really prove anything so far from what I've seen. I mean, I— again, there may be some more interesting ones out there, because I haven't looked at all 161. But, um, come on, Owen. I don't know, I, I tend to think that, um, you know, it probably partly is just kind of like the Epstein Files. Okay, we promised to do this, so let's do it. And I don't, I, I don't know that they're really gonna release a lot of stuff that would be like a huge thing. I mean, I've said this before, it's like I, I tend to think the approach would be different if they were really going to have We're not alone sort of revelations.

Well, let's go to our next clip. Okay, um, and they also did say that they were gonna just release some stuff slowly and then it was gonna progress, but let's just hear the next clip and we'll— I just want to keep this going. And by the way, maybe I'm the only one here that's gonna really believe this stuff. Let's go.

This is the week of some kind of disclosure. Can you give us any insight? As to what's going on?

Oddly enough, I got a call that tomorrow at 3 o'clock I'm going to be briefed over the phone by, um, I think one of HedgeSeth's top dogs is gonna go over some stuff with me that they've gotten. And I have no earthly idea. I, I don't want everybody to get their hopes up. I don't have a lot of faith in, in our government. President Trump's always been great to me. He's never lied to me, but I don't know that he knows the right questions to ask and the right people to talk to because, I mean, this thing's been covered up at least since 1947 and I just don't think they're gonna— they don't give up that easy. The war pimps at the Pentagon and everybody else, they just don't give up that easy.

How?

I like how he says, I have no earthly idea. I'm like, oh, I wish you said unearthly idea. But anyway, so I, you know, wonder what that call is about. But wait, before we do a little bit more, one more clip, and this is from our friend at NASA, uh, Jared Isaacman. Um, let's listen to him and then we'll talk about it.

You've said, uh, before that the odds that aliens exist is pretty high. NASA is actively looking for them. That's part of what NASA does.

Of course.

What exactly are you looking for?

A lot of what we're doing is just looking for, uh, you know, what are the building blocks to life and biosignatures that are out there. Better than 90% chance you bring the samples home from Mars, you will prove that there was once microbial life on Mars. And I think most people look up at the night sky and say, "Surely it's out there somewhere." You know, you have 2 trillion galaxies. We barely know our own star system, let alone all the other stars in the Milky Way galaxy, let alone 2 trillion other stars. But you get samples back from Mars that say there was once microbial life there. Europa Clipper sends back biosignatures. Dragonfly goes to Saturn's moon of Titan and sends back biosignatures. Habitable Worlds Observatory launches and says, Oh, we looked at all these other exoplanets and Goldilocks zones. There's biosignatures there. It changes the game to what if it's everywhere?

What are the odds that someone else or another species or another form of life has found us?

I would say extremely low. Human civilization is just a small span of time relative to the age of the universe, even relative to the age of our planet itself. As long as you acknowledge that the speed of light is your galactic speed limit, and how close we are to other stars and how close we are to other galaxies on a scale that's— it's extremely hard, I think, for most people to really appreciate. It's very hard for me to even appreciate the odds of intelligent life finding us at a time period where we are alive as we know ourselves to be right now. It would be, I would say, almost impossible.

So interesting. All right. So All right, I'm gonna do the same roundabout. So BJ, um, thoughts on those last two clips? You don't have to have any, but I'm just wondering.

Yeah, I think, um, yeah, I'm looking at the list on, um, war.gov, and you know, there's documents from Jim— I'm looking at one from Jim Lovell when he was involved in the Gemini project and saying that when he was in space, he would see particles Okay, great. Particles does not mean an alien. And I think what we're seeing is this shift of the goalpost. I've had somebody who's very, very into this, who's very close to me, said, no, it— what it is now is it's another species on the planet. And I guess they're underwater, whatever, who knows what it is. And I'm like, no, no, I was told aliens in space. Like, I wish, I wish it was true, because if it was true It would mean all of our understandings of physics are completely wrong and that interstellar travel is actually possible. But we keep moving away from the original claims of there's aliens around the world visiting the planet Earth and everything we see is always, I don't know, it's a claim of somebody who knew somebody who saw something or something was seen that we don't understand what it is. Okay, well, sometimes we can just not know what something is. It does happen.

Marcela, what do you think about the potential that this is just a distraction? Because, you know, we have a lot of distraction news versus something real.

You know, probably 90% it's a distraction. And one thing that I would say is, if it truly is, if there truly is— we recover bodies of aliens and we recovered spaceships, or however, you know, with Roswell and everything else that people are claiming would the government really release it? Maybe this release is to calm people down, to show the grainy pictures, the bad data, and go, look over there, you know, there's nothing to be seen here. Because you would never release that. You would just— you just would never. I, I don't think they would release it because it would shock people and it would cause huge issues with our allies or enemies or soever. So maybe it's one— it could be a distraction for us not to be twofold. It could be a distraction for us not to look at, you know, uh, not put too much emphasis on the Iran war, on, um, anything that's happening currently. Um, I think we're going to talk about it, um, some kind of ship somewhere, alleged, uh, ship with new virus coming in. And, uh, so it's like focusing us somewhere else And at the same time, it's also maybe lessening the gravitas of the UFO data.

Okay, that's a good analysis. Owen?

Yeah, I, I'm— again, I'm still skeptical just based on the approach of just dumping files that it can't be something earth-shattering in terms of, you know, oh my God, this is proof. Because I think you— again, I mean, I've said this before, but it's like if you were going to release that type of information, I think Trump would know that you can't do it that way. You, you would have to like have some kind of announcement from the White House that basically is a reveal that says we're not alone, we do have aliens, you know, this is true, and, you know, try and somehow assuage the American public. You're not going to just dump a bunch of files out there that have proof in them. So I tend to think it's just going to be, okay, here's all the stuff we've gathered that was classified that now we're declassifying, but it's not going to be anything saying like that the, you know, the whole program out in Groom Lake is true and we actually have all these flying saucers and we've reverse engineered all this technology and all that. I think all that would remain classified and it would never be released in this way. So that's the way I look at it, is that it's just, you know, we're trying to give you some information because you asked for some information, and it's not going to be anything more than just the type of stuff that we've seen in the past where you'll have a grainy video with a bunch of lights jumping around, or you'll have documents that were from a typewriter back in 1953 that talks about somebody reporting a UFO.

Okay, so I mean, I don't know. I mean, I literally have— I have my own, you know, my take is I've always just felt like this, this can't be it. Um, and that— I mean, not to be mean, I'm including myself, but like, we're like stupid. You know, like as a species, like, you know, like there's like a whole world out there and like this is like the best we can do. I just don't believe that. Um, there's a whole— not world, but a whole universe, a whole galaxy, a whole system. And how could like this one planet just be it? Like, oh, we're the only ones with life on it? Come on. Um, anyway, that's just me. Um, all right, so we'll see what happens with that. I heard so many crazy other tidbits about this whole thing. And I think when we're out on the boat this summer, I'm going to be feeling a little different that there's aliens underneath me now.

Underneath and above. Under—

I know, like, oh my God. Um, but I'm open to it. I'm open to it. All right, so as Marcella indicated, I don't want to spend a lot of time on this, you guys, because I don't want to get like into the hysteria of this virus. I'm not even saying it, but A, I'm never going on a cruise. I've told you before, I do not want to be trapped on a frickin' petri dish with people. Um, and also, like, let's just make sure we take a breath and a beat before we get nutty, and let's, you know, just see what's happening here. But I saw this clip of Dr. Drew, who you guys, you know, Dr. Drew is always so, like, measured and calm, and his words are so smooth, like he's like butter. But I love this clip because he's just had it. So let's just listen to this. We'll talk quickly about it on the other side and then move on. Ready?

I'm worried, really worried. You know, we have a hantavirus outbreak in a cruise ship and everybody's wanting to do it all over again. It's, are you freaking kidding? It's not a respiratory virus. Stop it. Stop it now. Stop the news agencies need to stop. Everybody needs to stop. Hantavirus has been around a long time. It's nasty. Yeah, so is TB, so is a lot of other things, so is rickettsia. Let's deal with the rats problem downtown in Los Angeles. We have murine typhus and bubonic plague breaking up, breaking out. Deal with that. But I digress. The fact is that there are structural and philosophical excesses in public health that need to be kind of addressed. And is anyone in public health thinking about this?

I don't think they are. I mean, I think one of the most—

it's not afraid—

healthy, useful outcomes of the COVID era was the absolute loss of credibility of the public health religious cult. And, you know, also, I think we all go into public health just like when people go into medicine.

We want—

okay, so amen, Dr. Drew. First of all, we love you so much, and I don't think I've ever seen you that frazzled, and I'm a little a little bit obsessed. It was so good. It was like hitting us all, like, yeah, like, not again. Um, and so just the one thing I do want to talk about with you guys is, yeah, it's like, I don't know if it's good and bad, but I won't believe anything anyone says. I mean, I've stopped believing things a long time ago. So again, you know, if this is some kind of a crisis, it's just like, you know, it's just gonna be interesting because I think so many people have had it, like Dr. Drew there. So Owen, have you given this any thought yet? Um, how are you going to feel moving forward about these?

I'm just mocking it every chance I get. I've seen reports that somebody has been working on a vaccine for it for a few years now. I think it's one of the big pharma companies. Um, I've seen that, you know, there was some report of somebody saying that it would be great if— or not great, but you know, that, that if you wanted to create a great bioweapon, making, uh, hantavirus human transmissible would be a perfect candidate for it. And It just seems like weird timing. This is the one where I would say this is like, you know, why is this coming up right before midterms when it seems pretty clear to me that there was a massive conspiracy to try and keep Trump from being elected because of COVID They were— the media was like just relentless in terms of saying, oh, every death that we have, it's Trump's fault, he killed these people. And like, you know, they were blaming Trump for everything. They had death counts on CNN 24 hours a day It was always there no matter what they were talking about. And they made this massive deal out of it when it really wasn't nearly as bad as it— as they were saying. And they, they were trying to blame Trump for the whole thing from the start to finish. And, you know, it, it was just so hypocritical because you had Nancy Pelosi at the beginning of COVID saying, oh, every— will everybody come down and party with us in Chinatown? And then flipped completely to, oh my God, Trump isn't taking this seriously and he's killing everybody and all this. And it's just you know, ridiculous. And I think it's, it's, you know, terrible that this, this sort of thing would start becoming something people talk about now, because they're going to of course draw parallels to COVID and try and use it to say we can't allow Republicans to be in Congress since Trump isn't up for election. But they're going to try and do it. I know that's what's going on, and I'm just mocking it every chance I get in terms of saying this is just ridiculous.

All right, so BJ, will you be mocking or what?

You know, one of the things I love about Latin America that I learned in all of my time there is generally the people have nothing but contempt for the media and politicians, and they think they're all corrupt, and they don't believe a word that anybody says. And, you know, with UFOs as well, not just viruses. I remember being in Mexico and UFOs came up and somebody said, yeah, we have them all the time. I'm like, Really? And who cares? I'm busy. They don't leave me. They leave me alone. I leave them alone. And I wish— I don't know what it is with people in the West now. Maybe our lives are not exciting enough. We're desperate for some sort of chaos in our life to pique our adrenaline and to get us into this state of, oh my God, the world is ending. And I think just the media and certain political groups and most importantly foreign agents, I think, are exploiting this weakness in the West to turn it against us. I just wish people became a little bit more skeptical of what they saw online and in the media and from our politicians.

I'm coming back to you in a second, BJ. Okay, Marcella, your thoughts? Your thoughts and prayers?

Not again, not again. No, no, this is not gonna work out. So I know that some people in the chat were talking about it. Gene Hackman and his wife were found dead, um, last year in their house. They died allegedly from, from this virus, and it wasn't the Andy's Hanta virus version, it was the mice-only version. But you know, it's been around for a long time. And the— this whole creation is just wanting people to be afraid. Uh, one of the things that Scott Adams taught us is that fear is always so persuasive, you know. I don't know if the cruise ship industry, if some kind of like they don't want cruises to go on or some kind of scheme. Um, I'm not sure what the angle is, but it's definitely You know, maybe it's the midterm angle, like, let's start this off. We need, you know, we need people to vote from home, kind of like they did during COVID We need some kind of, you know, distraction so that we can cheat and defraud, allegedly, uh, the election. Or maybe it's like, maybe it's a little more closer to travel and attacking that as well. I don't know.

I don't know. All right, so yeah, um, uh, Gene died. Gene Hagman died from that virus, and the wife had Alzheimer's or something like that. So they didn't both die from it. I— you guys are letting us know, thank you. Um, so BJ, back to you. When you said like a foreign agent, like this could be like, you know, someone interfering, do you Like, what do you— like, just expand that for us.

I mean, we see this in politics all the time. You know, one of the problems that people make is they think everything is a three-letter agency. Uh, it's usually political parties in the West, uh, or NGOs or groups like the People's Forum, stuff like that. Uh, it is in their interest, especially right now where places like China are so economically weakened, that it's the Yuri Bezmenov strategy of we need to weaken the West And by the way, the West does that in certain countries that are adversarial towards them as well. It's kind of a back and forth game that everybody knows how to manipulate populations. The difference now—

we're sort of doing that now, aren't we, with what, you know, this war?

Well, no, the war is something different, I think, but we can talk about that later. But I think with the advent of social media, yeah, I think just allows any sort of narrative It allows them through repetition to seed any sort of discontent. And this is what's fueling oikophobia amongst people in the left and some on the right now within the West. Oikophobia is the opposite of xenophobia. It's when you hate your own culture and you hate your own ethnicity and all that sort of stuff. That's what we see from all the protests online. So I think it's just allowed them to weaponize at scale this ability to exploit this weakness we have in the human condition, which is if we don't have an explanation for something, then we go to the most irrational, emotional explanation for something. And there's like no in-between because we're kind of panicking, right? This is kind of— this is something that comes from our ancestry and it's an evolutionary trait, the fight or flight thing. Oh, if we don't know what it is, it's got to be the absolute worst thing possible. And we just freak out. And I think they're just exploiting it.

Yeah, no, that's, that's a good point. Um, all right, so that's kind of gonna be it for the virus talk. I just can't stand it anymore.

Oh yes, let me correct the record. Gene Hackman didn't die of the, uh, hantavirus. His wife did, who was taking care of him, and then he ended up dying afterwards. Yeah, heart failure, Alzheimer's.

Yeah, they're dead. And we are sorry. Um, I don't know, I'm not laughing at it, but we have— we are having quite the chat about how they died in the chat. Um, okay, so I want to move on to our next favorite topic, which was— oh, Owen, I'm just gonna play. All right, I'm gonna play this clip first. We're gonna talk on the other side, but we're shifting to Iran. Um, and let's listen to President Trump. Let me just see one thing. Oh, am I missing one clip I really wanted to put in for you guys? Shoot. All right, I'm going to play this and I'm going to try to find that clip at the same time. Let's go.

You're facing an opponent right now in Iran that has refused to submit.

You seem optimistic now, you may be closer to a deal.

What's different about this moment now than in other moments where a deal has seemed close?

Well, why do you You say they refuse to submit. You don't know that. You don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

A few days ago.

Yeah, I know. A few days ago is a long time ago. You know, in the world of war, a few days ago. No, they want to make a deal badly. And we'll see if we get there. If we get there, they can't have nuclear weapons. You know, it's very simple. But what's not to submit? So they had a navy with 159 ships, and now every ship is blown to pieces and lying at the bottom of the water. They had an air force, lots of planes, and they don't have any planes. They don't have any anti-aircraft. They don't have any radar left. Their missiles are mostly decimated. They have some. They have probably 18, 19%, but not a lot by comparison to what they had. And their leaders are all dead. So I think we won. Now it's only a question of, look, if we left right now, Iran, it would take took them 20 years to rebuild. You would call that— we're in good shape, right? Fantastic. Yeah, we're in good shape.

Okay, Owen, I'm coming to you first. Um, just shout it out.

Yeah, well, that— I mean, I think the, the story that that was part of was that apparently there's some CIA dossier that supposedly was leaked to the Washington Post that was refuting Trump's claim about Iran's missiles being mostly decimated, that this supposed CIA dossier says they still have 75% of their mobile launchers and 70% of their missiles, and they've recovered their facilities. And that, of course, is very different than what Trump has told us, which is that it's mostly decimated. They have a few, maybe 18, 19%, but not a lot by comparison to what they had. So clearly there's a disconnect there. I think to me the big story is just that somebody is leaking information to the press that they shouldn't be. Um, you know, I don't know whether or not it's true, and I don't put any stock in it because again, they're just quoting anonymous sources and all that stuff. So you don't know whether it's real or not. But even if it is, it's just a CIA assessment. It doesn't mean that's the truth either. There might be other reports that say exactly what Trump said. And so it may be a selective leak just to try and make Trump look bad. But it, it seems to me like somebody in the CIA, assuming that this leak really happened and it wasn't just made up by the Washington Post, that somebody's trying to make Trump look bad. And that to me is the main story. It's not about what the actual truth is for Iran. I think there certainly is a lot of truth to what Trump said, that we've had a lot of military success there and that we've taken out a lot of their capabilities. And I don't know what the numbers are, but I, you know, it's terrible to me that, that people within our government are essentially trying to subvert our government and trying to embarrass our government and trying to just politically damage Trump's reputation or the administration's reputation. And I hope they catch these people and put them in prison.

Marcel, I'm going to come to you next. Do you have thoughts about this?

It's not what is being reported, it's who's reporting it. So Washington Post reporting something, I don't know how to put any kind of— maybe I'm from Latin America where I don't trust the press or the government, so it's hard to say in this case who is telling the truth, but, uh, maybe it's a middle— maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle. Um, we have decimated them, but there's still some left, some weapons left, kind of thing. But, um, I actually think that the other theory could be that the CIA, um, is leaking these— this reports because there is double agents with Iran or something like that.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, I think so too.

Dangerous.

I know, BJ.

Yeah, I think, uh, you're on to something, Marcella. I, I wouldn't trust this at all from The Washington Post. It's, you know, goes back to, you know, who's the news. But, you know, one of the things I often talk about and I learned about in politics is the degree of political entryism in the West and how dangerous it is. And how dishonest it has made our media. Not our media was always 100% on the ball, but this phenomenon is relatively new in the Western world where it's just completely false. Like, I remember, it kind of tangentially related to this issue on a global stage, remember Jamal Khashoggi? Oh, Jamal Khashoggi, the journalist. He ain't a journalist. He was an arms dealer. His uncle Adnan Khashoggi was central to the Iran-Contra hearings. They are like a mafia family in Saudi Arabia, and everybody knows it. They're, they're, they're foreigners, they're Uzbeki. But people in the West don't understand the nuance of how these things are related. So it becomes very easy for people to engage these, you know, foreign entities to engage in political entryism through institutions like the media, like the government. You know, they come here and what do they do? They build Somali leering centers Then they start laundering more than their GDP and stealing the money. Uh, and that's just— that's the problem with having such an open system. And I think that's where you see a lot of this BS that occurs in the media is from entities similar in terms of their scope and their ambitions. So I wouldn't trust any of this.

Owen, do you want to add to that?

I, I mean, I agree. I think I, I don't put any credibility into this, and I don't think it's anything other than a political operation.

Yeah, it's so unfortunate. Um, all right, I mean, do, do you guys want to talk any more about that? I mean, it's just gonna, you know, it just changes every day. So it's—

yeah, it— I mean, in terms of the overall situation, I've, I've seen stories that there was some firing on ships going on, you know, around the Strait of Hormuz. So it does seem like there's still some military blowups happening. I know we recently took out 6 of their smaller boats around on the Strait of Hormuz. And, and so, you know, it does seem like there's still little skirmishes happening, but certainly nothing huge. And it's impossible to know what's going on with the negotiations, you know. So I think we just have to wait and see how it turns out. I don't necessarily trust what Trump is telling us either, but I just, you know, he's I think doing what you would expect from a negotiator standpoint, trying to say we're close to a deal, we're going to get to a deal, they don't have a choice, you know, and he's trying to make that happen. And so maybe what he's telling us is exactly what's accurate, or maybe he's trying to make that reality. Um, but either way, I support what he's doing because he's trying to bring an end to this. And so I think either way, I'm happy with what Trump's doing. And I, I think, um, You know, it is hard to know even what the situation on the ground there is because they've killed so many of their leaders that you don't even really know who's in charge or how much control they have over everyone. So it's really hard to put it all together.

I mean, it's like, what's left to kill and destroy over there? It's like every time they're like, oh, we destroyed 8,000 boats and 57,000 leaders, and there's like, you know, another 5 boats today. But I feel like, uh, you know Iran's putting up a good fight, even from like their, you know, they're kind of laughing at Trump in a way because they're not really taking him seriously. This, this is me talking. Okay, you guys, like, I don't feel like they're taking him seriously. And I feel like they're just like, go ahead, make your threats. And like, we're challenging you because they're not opening the strait and they're not complying and they're not stopping lobbing bombs at other people. So I, I mean, do any of you feel that way, like they're sort of making Trump look like a fool? I feel like— or am I just wrong? Uh, BJ, I'll let you take the sharpest angle at me first.

I don't know that they're making him look like a fool per se, but one, one thing's for sure: the IRGC— and this is difficult for Westerners to understand— will never give up. They will never give up until they're all dead. Simple as that. And if they end up dead, then that's part of their, you know, theological ambitions anyways, or at least what they profess to be their theological ambitions. So, uh, I mean, Trump's, you know, between a rock and a hard place because they have no Navy. They have not a rock and a hard place. He knows what he is, he's the situation. But they have no Navy, they have no Air Force, they have no air defense. But what do they have? They have the equivalent of what Colombia used to have. Which is a FARC-type militia that is holding the country hostage. And he's trying to get rid of this militia without committing US troops. So there's a certain amount, apparently, of Israeli troops that are on the ground there that are trying to weave through this and help people with an uprising. And if he needs more time to prevent this from actually being boots on the ground and a war, and he needs a month or 2 months or 3 months for this process to play out, for this regime to collapse, I think we should give it to them. And one of the things that happened, I saw yesterday, finally, uh, their— Iran's big problem is their infrastructure for pumping oil. Because they can't export any of the oil, it's piling up, and they don't have places to reserve and store the oil. And there's, for a whole bunch of reasons, if they do not get that oil out to market the entire system implodes and destroys itself, similar to what happened to Venezuela's system. So now they're dumping oil directly into the sea. That's their— that's Iran's solution. So for all the, you know, uh, people on the left, the environmentalists, yeah, they're now dumping it into the sea. So they are on their last legs. We got to be— it's frustrating to be patient, but remember, he achieved the objectives of World War II in 30 seconds, in 30 seconds, and we're complaining. Like, just, you know, let's give it a little bit of time. I know it's frustrating, but 47 years of this chaos in the Middle East that's been caused by this regime may be coming to an end peacefully, and I think we should be thankful for that if that happens.

Um, Marianne, I will check out Scott Adams' latest on the subject. I really like him. Um, Yeah, so, all right, so Owen or Marcella, do you want to chime in on that or anything about it?

Well, I think another aspect I would layer on there is that I saw a story recently that I think my— I think it was today that China has kind of reversed their stance that they a few days ago had said they were going to ignore all the Iran sanctions and tell their companies to go ahead and do business with all these sanctioned companies in Iran, or with Iran. And now they've flipped and said, don't give them loans, don't, don't do that. So it seems like that Trump has most likely told China, you better back off on this, and that they're playing ball. So it does seem like the strategy is to economically strangle Iran into compliance. So I think, you know, again, the oil is a big piece of it, but also all the sanctions. And so I think to me there is enormous economic pressure being put on them. And, you know, in terms of military, I think Trump could take out their power infrastructure and, and all these other things that he's threatened to do, but it would be kind of disastrous and a human rights problem potentially, just because you might kill a whole bunch of people there because they don't have power and they don't have water or whatever it is. And so I think that is a drastic solution, but it's kind of like, you know, it wouldn't be hard to do It's just, you know, you don't want to do that. So I think that's why Trump is trying this other approach to say maybe if we take away their money and take away their ability to get rid of their oil and all that, that they may end up being forced into compliance that way. So my hope is that it'll work.

Marcela, do you want to say anything on this?

Yeah, if I can. There's, you know, there's two different stories. You know, Iran has two different stories that is given to their people. They're not being defeated, nothing's happening, they're the strongest, most battle-ready. The same with Trump, you know, he gives us two different stories, um, in a way. You know, there's the internal one and then there's the external one. But at the end of the day, um, like BJ said, if we don't want to put boots on the ground and be able to still have them comply with all the points regarding the nuclear, um, weapons that they have, or nuclear dust, is it? Um, anyway, so in order to do that, you need to wait it out. You need to patiently wait it out for a while to have, you know, for them to fold, because they're not able to Um, CENTCOM just talked about this today. They're not able to move any of the oil through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's oil. Now they're doing it by rail. Some of it is still being done by rail with China, um, in order to avoid the US blockade. But the US blockade is hurting them. But you're dealing with— they are the IRGC and mullahs that their belief is that they must be martyrs and must die to the end. So it's kind of hard to deal with, uh, that type of philosophy. And they also don't care about their own people, at least the majority of them. So sadly, uh, I want this to end well because it, it's causing suffering, uh tremendous suffering everywhere.

So, all right, so we'll move along from it. But, you know, I, I guess for me it's like, it's not that deep. Um, like, for me it's just like, I hate it. Like, I just, I don't like war. I don't want people to die. Um, you know, it— what I've understood is that, you know, you would have to put boots on the ground for Karg Island. I just, um, you know, and when you're when you're a culture that cares about life and you're dealing with people that don't. Not— I'm not saying the Iranian people, but their government doesn't care, and they'll die, you know, for their philosophy in life. But it's hard. It's just hard. Um, I don't know. So let's just hope for the best possible outcome. Obviously, um, you know, Trump is, you know, he's got balls. He went in there to do it, something no one else did. They talked a lot about it, but, you know, So I want to move on to one other story. We only have about 15 minutes left, and my passion project would be to see Brennan go to jail. Um, I hate him with every fiber of my being, along with his, his other little buddies, his squad.

He's such a nice guy.

Oh, why don't you like it?

And you know what, I can finally say this with my signs, I think he's I think he's closeted. I really do. And I think that's why he's frustrated. Just saying. Um, okay, so anyway, I just wanted— so I had heard a while ago that he was like off the table, like he, like he wasn't going to be looked into anymore. And I'm like, what? No, no, no. So I just want to play two clips. I want to just talk about this. Here's the first one with Katherine Herridge, and she's another baller. Let's go. Brennan was a paid national security analyst for NBC News. Is it possible that every time Brennan went on television that he was restarting the clock, sort of a furtherance of the conspiracy?

Essentially, yes. Not every time he's talking about anything, uh, but if he's literally talking about the, the conduct back in 2016, '17, if he's denying kind of tipping the scales against President Trump, by getting this intelligence report out, that could work. It's gonna be the subject of pretrial litigation. I mean, there's going to be motions to dismiss if you're being somewhat creative with restarting the clock on statute of limitations. But generally speaking, obstructionist behavior, conspiracy, you know, conduct designed to keep that thing secret and successful is the type of thing that helps you avoid the statute of limitations.

Brennan, like so many of these other former senior national security officials, wrote a book. How much does the book, in his own words, come back to haunt him in a prosecution?

That's the common thread through so many of these cases that deal with, like, classified information or politicized behavior. So, boy, the hubris of wanting to get a bestseller tends to trip up people a lot. It may not be something where the book has confessions, right? These are going to be pretty self-serving books, but there could be what they call false exculpatory. It's like things where he's clearly lying. You can prove that he's lying about something. And then you argue to a judge or jury someday that, you know, people lie for a reason and it's because he knew he did something wrong.

Hmm. All right, Marcella, our attorney. So, I mean, could that— I think you're muted. Could this bring this back up for him? Is there a possibility of him getting in trouble?

I mean, I guess it depends on the— so Brennan is still being investigated in connection to the dossier, uh, in the 2016 elections. Um, but he, you know, it depends on what exactly is being investigated and what charges are brought up. Um, but he is right in regards to how obstruction of, uh, and conspiracy affects the statute of limitations. Um, it can help extend it, but it, but it needs to be proven, you know. So like, you have to have that evidence that there was obstruction and, um, there was conspiracy, you know. So it's too hard to know without, without having the, the indictment or the evidence against Brennan. To say legally.

Okay. All right, so there's possibilities. Okay, so Owen or BJ, which one do you want to take this first? Like, does anyone have any insight about this? Do you— does this make sense? You know, don't you feel like this evidence is out there? I thought we kind of got to that point. Um, BJ, I'll come to you first.

I'll go to Owen first.

All right, Owen.

It certainly seems to me like there should be plenty of evidence that they have already. I mean, some of it is pretty public already in terms of some of the things he's done, you know, where he put together that letter from all the supposed intelligence places and that he was kind of one of the architects of all the Russia collusion stuff. And so I think to me it's pretty clear that he did a lot of things that he shouldn't have done and he was trying to subvert Trump. And so I'm hoping they do go after him and I hope they do try charge him, and I hope he gets convicted. And, um, I think it's well deserved, and I'm hoping it's coming soon. But, um, you know, I understand the legal process. I understand that they need to build their case and they want to make sure it's going to stick. And so I do give them some grace in terms of taking their time to build the case. But my hope is that it will come to something as opposed to just fizzling out.

Um, okay, BJ.

I don't know. I think, uh, I mean, I know I— nobody likes Brennan. Uh, part of my concern with him is from another angle. I think it was Gwandolo, John Gwandolo, in '96 or after that, but he explained that '96 to '99, somewhere in there, that he might have said the shahada when he was in Saudi Arabia. The shahada is when you convert. And that Brennan Yeah, that he marveled at the Hajj. You can find all over. It's— this has been known to people for many, many years and, um, not verified. It's never been publicly verified. But the reason that's concerning is we see that in Canada. For example, we have a mosque where 85% of the attendees are converts. And the problem with the converts, usually they get recruited by the most extremist elements of, uh, of the Islamic world, the types. And it's this interesting phenomenon. I think Scott Adams might have talked about this, that when we change— you learn this in hypnosis— when somebody changes their worldview to a completely foreign or new ideology, they often become the most extreme interpretation of it. So for example, somebody who becomes, I don't know, vegan, they decide they're gonna abolish meat, they become the most extreme version. Somebody who is Muslim who becomes an atheist often becomes the most extreme version of anti-Islamic ideology. Likewise, often what we find is when people convert into Islam, they convert via the ISIS pathway and they become the most extreme version. That is why you saw so many younger people leaving England, and the number one place for ISIS recruitment was Trinidad and Tobago. To be honest, and they would go and they become the most extreme interpretation of it. That's why it's a concern. It would be interesting to see if this issue comes up in any prosecution against Brennan and say, explain to us your background in the Middle East and your associations there and what were you doing? Because if that is the case, and I could— we could be completely wrong— that lends credence to the concern of political entryism from people who have loyalties to alien values.

Wow, I didn't know that. Like, it's sounding familiar, but I did not know that he went over there and allegedly—

alleged— this is all alleged, nothing— this— none of this is proved.

Marcel is like, help! I was just—

I have something to add that you'll love. You'll love this, Erica. So the main— the other thing, the way they can The way they got Martha Stewart is the way they can get Brennan. False statements, like current false statements. If they even interview him for the investigation, if they— if he gives a statement to them under penalty of perjury and he says something that is not true and they can prove it's not true, um, for whatever reason he's hiding something or whatever, then they can prosecute him for that. And which one of the people that were— was prosecuted for that was famously Martha.

Poor Martha. Poor Marty. Um, although it helped to rebrand her, which was good. Um, all right, so I want to play one last clip because I love this man. Is it Todd Blanch, you guys? I was asking you before. Blanch. I always just know Blanch, but I love this guy. Just a quick clip. We're talking BDE. If you don't know, the chat will let you know. Here we go.

In a recent interview, former President Barack Obama said, and I quote, the White House shouldn't be able to direct the Attorney General to go around prosecuting whoever the president wants to prosecute. You're the Attorney General. What is your response?

Well, I Coincidentally, I happen to have, I think, a copy of the, our Constitution. So if we want, we can read our Constitution together. Article 2 says the executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. It does not say that the Attorney General stands off to the side. So as a, I'm an acting Attorney General, the Attorney General is a member of the cabinet the cabinet of the President of the United States. The Constitution gives the President power. So I question, I question people in this country that suggest that President Trump as the chief executive of the United States does not have the authority or the right or shouldn't be leading this country in all areas, including what we need to be doing to get rid of crime in this country. So I'm not familiar with the comments you just talked about. But to the extent that President Trump calls me and says that he thinks that we have a problem in this country, whether it's this scourge of drugs, illegal immigration, every American wants him to do that and he should.

[Speaker:ROBERT COSTA] But the accusation here from the former president is that your department is now charging political adversaries of the president or perceived political adversaries of the president on his behalf to settle scores, essentially?

[Speaker:ROBERT COSTA] There's something extraordinarily rich about a Democrat suggesting that this administration is charging our political adversaries. I mean, first of all, we're not. Second of all, how about we think about what happened the past 4 years? It wasn't just President Trump that got indicted repeatedly in multiple district courts, in multiple jurisdictions. But it was also his entire administration, what was called into the grand jury. Members of his Secret Service detail had to testify in the grand jury. So I welcome criticism. Let's go. But let's— if you're sitting in a glass house, you ought not throw stones.

You're muted.

You're muted, Erica.

Okay, ready? Oh my gosh, he is a breath of fresh air for me. Like that, like, he's just like, sit down, son, you know, relax, you know, like talking to this kid. Pulls out the Constitution, you see the— and the reporter's like, oh, are we reading together? Um, just you guys, just tell me how much you love having him here now, having Blanche here. Oh, sorry. Uh, Owen, you, you start us off.

Yeah, no, I think it's great, and I think, um, I think he's correct. I mean, I'm not a lawyer like Marcella, but I, it it in my read of the Constitution is that the Attorney General is part of the executive branch, and that means he reports to the president. And I understand there may have been a, a norm or whatever you want to call that about saying, oh, that should be independent, but I think that was always fake.

Always fake.

I mean, you know, Eric Holder said he was Obama's wingman, and he clearly was. He was going after his enemies. He was locking up reporters. He was doing all sorts of things that were much worse than anything they were accusing Trump of doing. And I think Biden did the same thing. And, you know, I include all the January 6th prosecutions and that. And it's just horrible to be able to— to— for them to turn around and say, oh, there's this problem with, you know, going after his adversaries, when the other side has been doing so many times worse. Yeah, so many times worse. So, so blatant. And there were so many people that were so horribly mistreated by the other side. And I don't think that is happening at this point. I think, you know, if I were answering the question, I would say, you know, it's not about whether or not someone is Trump's political adversary. It's about whether they committed crimes.

Yeah.

And if they've committed crimes, then they need to be brought to justice. And it doesn't matter whether they're a political ally or opponent of Trump, that we're going to go after people who commit crimes.

And not made-up crimes either, and not bending the law to make them fit. We, we have like no time. So Marcela, give us your quick take. Did you love that?

Um, I personally don't love Todd Blanch. Um, sorry. He is, uh, he is the personal— was the personal attorney of President Trump. And to me, it— his appointment, or his soon-to-be appointment, because he's yet not fully appointed as Attorney General, would seem to get to that side of I'm appointing my wingman kind of thing. So, um, we'll see, you know, maybe he turns out to be great. It's still to be determined.

And I think he's interim anyway, right? Not— yeah, he's in. BJ, your thoughts?

I think it's just interesting that this is another example, when you took a look at Obama's comments, of the left doing— being guilty of everything they accuse their opponents of doing. And, um, I think that's just— what's scary is he can get away— they can get away with it. And the reason is Two movies, one screen. Are people really gonna see that?

Uh, BJ, thank you so, so much. Um, you guys, the after party tomorrow, look who's hosting— your lady in purple, Marcella, is filling in for Owen. So, um, we will post the link to that, um, so make sure you visit them tomorrow. Um, Owen and Marcella, thank you so much for being amazing as always. And BJ, we love having you here. Thank you so much.

And by the way, today I'm gonna start a stream right now. I have something very, very special for Scott Adams fans, for Sippers, and it may have something to do with the origin of Systems vs. Goals.

Very fast, you guys. So let's, let's go visit. Um, and listen, you know, we always, uh, say thank you to Scott and Shelley for allowing this stream to continue. And as always, let's all be useful. Happy Mother's Day to the mommies out there, whether it's of a pet, a person, a friend, whatever.

Um, after party with Marcella tomorrow.

I guess I said— yep, I said that. And, uh, Marcella, we're gonna post the link, and don't give her a hard time. She's taking names and numbers, and you're going to be in trouble. I don't want to hear about any bad behavior on Monday. Owen's gonna come for you people. Okay, so you guys, a closing sip to Scott Adams. Say your goodbyes, you guys. Love you guys so much, and we all thank all of you, and we'll see you on Monday. To Scott Adams. Have a great show, BJ.

Thank you very much. You guys are great. Love you all.

You also. Love you.
