The Scott Adams School - 06/15/26 The Home Team!! UFC Freedom 250, FIFA & the WOKE

Erika, Owen, and Marcela host Scott Adams for live commentary on Elon Musk becoming the world's first trillionaire, the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House lawn, and Iran-Israel cease-fire negotiations. They compare American patriotism to Scottish soccer fans and Japanese cleanup culture, and debate the credibility of Trump's reported peace deal.
Chapters
Good morning. Top of the morning to y'all. It's June 15th.
Good morning, everyone.
Good morning.
Who's awake? That was a long night.
Who went to sleep?
Barely. Barely. I know President Trump didn't. You guys, what a jam-packed weekend. I don't even know where to start except for one logical place, but I'll just wait one second for you guys to come in. And oh my gosh, you guys, I was pulling clips. I'm like, I don't know where to begin. I don't know where to end. There's so much going on. Oh Lordy. But it's going to be fun today. Oh, what is this clip? Owen, Marcela, how are your weekends?
Great. I mean, for me, I'm a soccer fan, so like watching, and then, you know, I'm an American fan, so it was like the most amazing thing. And NBA fan as well.
So Yay!
Mine was good. It was busy. Had a lot of stuff going on. So just trying to fit it all in.
All right. Well, I have not had a sip. I'm waiting for you guys. So let's do it now.
All that matters is you're here now. And you are here for some of the best parts of your day. Maybe the best, really, if I might be modest. It's called the Simultaneous Sip and you don't need much. All you need is a cup or a mug or a glass, a tank or chalice or stein, a canteen, jug or flask. Vessel of any kind. Fill it with your favorite liquid.
I like my coffee.
And join me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine hit of the day, the thing that makes everything better. It's called the simultaneous sip, and it happens now.
Mmm, delightful. That felt good.
Very nice.
Very nice, very nice. No creatine in my coffee today. I'll be having a creatine protein bar later, so I don't want a double dose.
All right.
Beverly Crank One, Dr. Von Hardy, I love all of the images you put for every sip every day. Honestly, I look for them every day and I love it. Love it, love it. And for Scott Ritchie, it is steak Monday as always. All right, you guys, so listen, I am, I was gonna call what's his name, the sports guy. I can't think of his name.
KG?
No, the sports analysis guy. I can't remember his name. Somebody.
See, I don't— Alphonse This?
Anybody. I don't do sports. I don't do sports. But here I am in a very sports-filled weekend. Should be interesting. Okay, so I am just texting I'm telling you, the only thing I kept seeing was like, "Yay, patriotism," and "Boo, you people suck." So I thought the theme for today would be compare and contrast. And Stephen Smith, thank you. Stephen A. Smith, that's who I was trying to think of. Thank you. You guys, you were like reading my mind. That's who it was. So I pulled a bunch of clips and I don't know like at which point we're gonna be chatting about them or just playing them. But for those of you who missed everything, I'm just gonna give you the highlights. Oh, first, shout out, shout out to our boy Elon Musk.
Wait a minute.
Yes. He is now the world's first trillionaire, and it couldn't happen to a more worthy person. In my opinion. Go Elon, go!
This is what victory feels like.
Yeah!
And to all the crybabies out there, oh, he was in the right place at the right time. Really? Whatever that means. So congratulations to Elon Musk, he took SpaceX public in his IPO on Friday.
Wait, I thought Obama built that.
Yeah, yeah, he didn't build that. Dude, when he said that, Obama, my whole life changed. I'll never forget it. My whole life changed.
When Al Gore built the internet, right?
Right.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm. So I don't know who got in on the IPO. I can't see the chat, you guys, until I, um, finish my clips, but I don't know who got in, but within what, like 15 minutes, I think he became a trillionaire, the first one, and You know, he, he could do anything he wants with his money, his time, his brain power, his heart. And, you know, he's just always doing something to advance this society, do things for good. How many wars have we heard of and seen where he shoots a Starlink up there so people can have internet? Even like in North Carolina, when we had those terrible floods and the weathers and everyone got wiped out, you know, he brought Starlink there. It sounds so little and and silly, but he also picked up astronauts that NASA left behind. Like, hello. So I don't know, this man wants to cure things, invent things, and move forward, and I'm just really happy for him. Owen and Marcella, what do you— what are your thoughts on Elon becoming the first trillionaire?
I think it's great. I think it's well deserved. I think to, to what you were saying, I think it's that You know, I, I always say like when people become wealthy, it's because they've helped a lot of other people in significant ways. And, um, so I think he's earned that and I think he's, um, going to be continuing to do incredible things. I think he's somewhat unique in that category of all the billionaires and things where, you know, he's not really like, um, spending on himself with the superyachts like Jeff Bezos and other stuff where they're kind of flaunting their wealth. And, you know, his history is that he kind of always flipped everything he made into his next thing. And so I think it was just— he's obviously very good at execution, very good at making his ideas into reality, and he's willing to place big bets to do it. And I think that's what really explains it to me. Certainly, I do feel like anybody who's saying he's not— he doesn't deserve it, or it's, you know, based on government contract or something. They're just kind of— either they want his money or they're just envious or jealous of what he has.
I know. I mean, I can't imagine all the things that he helped create and created and is doing, like what, what the world would look like now without all of that. So Marcela, tell us your take.
I mean, he earned it completely, 100%, and The thing about the left is that it's so funny how they don't— how they criticize him. And Elizabeth Warren came out and, you know, Bernie Sanders are like, "It's our money, not your money," you know. And the funny thing is, this would be a great epic, you know, story of the immigrant that comes to America with nothing in his pockets and comes out a trillionaire. And only in America can you become that. And They don't wanna point that out. They don't wanna point any positives out. 'Cause you know, when they talk about Trump, they're like, "Oh, he started with millions from his dad." So like, I imagine like they always have something negative to say. And today, like you nailed it, Erika. It's a comparison between their view of life and the view that we all hold, which is abundance and creation. Mm-hmm. And, you know, the golden age. And great start to the golden age. We have a trillionaire. I hope he's not the last. I hope we all get there too, Erika.
Yeah, let's go.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh. Yeah, well, you know, congratulations to Elon Musk. He is the American dream and he is a great example. And, you know, people like, "Oh, his personal life." Shut up. Oh my God, look at your personal life. What are you doing for humanity? Sorry. Okay, so,— not— I took it negative so fast, didn't I? Um, okay, so the other thing— I want to keep the patriotism going for a minute because I love this clip that they played at the UFC last night. In case you guys didn't know, there was a UFC, um, fight match on the front of the White House lawn last night. We'll get to that in a minute. But I mean, the patriotism I'm seeing from all over the world is really amazing. So I just want to play this, indulge me. We just had Flag Day yesterday and I put up a picture that said, you know, this is the flag. Like, this is the only flag we need. We don't need your pride flag, your this flag, your that flag. This one flag represents even all of you idiots, okay? It represents every American. No matter if you have blue hair, you're screaming, and you don't know what gender you are today, this is also your flag, okay? So let's just— have a moment for Flag Day. This beautiful, most gorgeous red, white, and blue piece of cloth is just everything.
Back exactly 40 years ago today, in what was President Ronald Reagan's powerful address to the entire nation.
My fellow Americans, today we celebrate Flag Day, the birthday of our Stars and Stripes. As we think back over the history of our nation's flag, we Remember that the story of its early years was often one of hardship and trials, sometimes a fight for simple survival. It was 2 years into the War of 1812 when America seemed to be teetering on the edge of defeat. The British had already taken our capital and burned the White House. All that stood between the British and Baltimore were the guns of Fort McHenry. The British bombardment lasted for 25 hours. Through the dark hours Through the long hours of the night, the rockets fired and the bombs exploded, and a young American patriot named Key, held captive aboard a British ship, watched anxiously for some proof, some sign that liberty would prevail. [FOREIGN LANGUAGE] You can imagine his joy when the next morning in the dawn's early light, he looked out and saw the banner still flying, a little tattered and torn, but still flying proudly above the ramparts. But with the birth of our nation, the cause of human freedom had become forever tied to that flag and its survival. As the American Republic grew and prospered and new stars were added to the flag, the ideal of freedom grew and prospered. From the rolling hills of Kentucky to the shores of California, to the Sea of Tranquility on the moon. And let us never forget that that in honoring our flag, we honor the American men and women who have courageously fought and died for it. These anniversaries remind us that the great American experiment in freedom and democracy has really just begun, and they challenge us to match that greatness of spirit in our own time. We are, after all, the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Thank you.
So happy to share that special piece with all of you watching around the world tonight.
Ah, I love our flag. I love our flag. I gotta tell you, like, like, I don't know if anyone— I know some of you are boaters, but especially when you're out on the water, there— I, I always do this little experiment. I cannot go anywhere on the water where I can see land or boats that I don't see an American flag flying. Almost every boat has one, so many homes on the water have them. And it's like, so, I don't know, I always picture like, what if I was like lost at sea and I started to come in and I saw all these American flags? I'd be so freaking excited. Ugh, Owen, don't you love hearing Reagan's voice though? He's got that little thing that gets you.
Yeah, it's great. I mean, I guess it was our first non-politician president. I know he was, involved with politics before, but I don't think he had held any real office. But he was an actor, obviously, so he has that charismatic voice and charismatic presence, so I think that made a difference, and there is some echoes of that in Trump, I think.
Yeah, I think so too. Marcella, anything on the Flag Day video? I loved it.
Every time I hear Reagan, I feel patriotism in my veins. It's just like, there's the the way that he speaks, it just gets to your heart. So, or it makes the left cringe. So he was the first, like, TDS, uh, the first TDS that showed up was, was Reagan.
Yeah, it was RDS.
RDS, yeah.
Um, much milder, much milder than TDS.
And he was governor of the best state ever.
As I understand the history behind the, the whole Francis Scott Key and flag incident, it was a lot more dramatic than what was shown in the AI version because I think that they knocked down the flagpole several times. And I think they were literally just hand—
holding it up.
Like, people were just holding it up. They were wounded. They were just making that, you know, in just something that, that couldn't be knocked down and kept down. And, um, so I think there were a lot of brave people that did a lot of really, uh, courageous things to make that happen.
I feel like I'm gonna start bawling my eyes out. I just want that back for our country. I just I just wish people knew really, you know, how amazing this country is that they're living in. I don't know. So, like, for example, for example, since we're doing all of this patriotism today, so here we have World Cup pregame, Scotland versus Haiti. So you guys, I'm going to play this clip. This is Scotland doing their— I don't know what it's called. Maybe someone can say in the chat, but It's a, it's a world record decibel, loudest decibel ever recorded at a World Cup, and it's Scotland's pride that you're about to hear. Talk about compare and contrast.
Okay, I had to stop because it's so loud, you guys.
I kept lowering that for you guys too, but oh my gosh, it went on for a minute and 35 seconds and it's just like Oh, man, I love that. That is so cool. The soccer fans have been off the charts during this World Cup stuff, right, Marcela?
Yeah, I was just looking up what it was called. It's called the Flower of Scotland.
Yeah.
That's what it is. Isn't that beautiful? Oh my God. It's beautiful. And yesterday night, they went, the Scots went to, as if they're one unit, they went to the Red Sox game. And they did their singing there too. It was just like they keep on singing till the end of time, and they're so positive. Like, every— I know a lot of you are watching, like, all this soccer stuff. Freddy from Germany, Germany won and everything else. So I don't know if this is now when I could talk about the soccer, but—
You can in 1 minute. Give me 1 more minute. So I just want to show you, okay, this This is just, mm.
Okay. Scotland for Scott.
Yeah, let me just go back a couple of nights ago to the Knicks winning.
Okay.
Oh yes.
Compare and contrast. You guys, I don't even care who won that basketball game. I don't care, I don't care. I cannot believe the animals that have turned out into the streets to destroy New York City. This is not celebrating. But take a look at the aftermath from the Knicks winning. Winning.
They didn't even lose. Oh, New York!
I don't want to get dinged, so I'm going to talk over this, but they were burning school buses, destroying cabs, destroying people's businesses or livelihoods. Hood. Look at this trash, right? Just disgusting.
I don't know if this shows it, but they destroyed like a taxi. The poor taxi man doesn't know what to do. It's so sad.
Yeah, and it was the usual suspects. And, you know, and of course there's always Palestine flags. I guess they're Knicks fans. I don't really understand all of that and how that works.
All these engineers, you know.
Yeah, future doctors. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. This is New York, you guys, because they won a game. Won whatever they won. And you know what? I wish the Knicks would come out and condone this. I know that they're their fans, and I'm sure not all of them were, but I really wish they would come out and just say like, "This is not the kind of fans we want." And I know that they have like facial recognition software now that they're using. To try to find some of these people. But anyway, you get the idea. This goes on and on.
Oh, and the school buses were for the World Cup. They were to drive the fans from New York City to New Jersey Stadium.
Yeah. So that's Mondami's New York. Now in Japan, when they go to a stadium, visiting stadium or home stadium, They bring these garbage bags with them, the fans, and then what they do is they clean up the stadium together, everybody, before they leave. You should see how they left the locker room of the visiting stadium they were at. Not like one piece of trash anywhere. They like folded up everything and stacked everything in like nice little neat, like one little spot and the whole locker room looks spotless. So this is the compare and contrast. Okay. You're going to see Japan, how they behave on the left.
And.
Nicks fans or whoever they were on the right. Yeah, after a game, this is what we're doing. Yeah. Look at Japan. Look at their blue bags picking up everything. I mean, is this really the country we've become? So I just couldn't help it when I was picking clips today. Owen, what do you know? Don't you feel like if we handed out blue garbage bags to fans that they would just put them over people's heads and try to kill them?
Probably. I think the culture is very different. But, you know, it's— I think it's— this is why we can't have nice things. I think. But, you know, the leftists would probably say, what are you trying to do, take away the jobs from the garbage picker-upper people?
Well, they're not doing their job either. Clearly, Mom Donnie didn't send them out. Mom Donnie didn't send them out. You know, so I don't know, Marcella, when you see those two things, I mean, it really, like, I'm not trying to bring anyone down. I really am trying to say, you know, let's look around and become more patriotic because the differences that I'm seeing everywhere, So sad. And by the way, this is how Japan— and then Marcella, you're going to give us all the soccer scores after this. Um, this is how Japan celebrates their team winning in the streets of Japan. Watch this. So what's happening is they wait for the light to change, they run into the middle They're celebrating. And then they're like, listen, we don't want to be obnoxious. The cars have to go again. So when the light's ready to turn back, they run back to the sidewalk. They're like, oh, oh, oh, all right, wait, cars have to go. Time's up, everyone back to the sidewalk so cars can go through.
And they sing and—
Hear the whistle. Time's up. I'm without speech. Owen, can we do this here?
Probably not. I don't know.
I think we can because the US won the soccer game and there was a lot of soccer fans celebrating around Pasadena and LA and none of them were trying to kill each other. I was afraid I was fearful about the game was played in LA, so I thought, oh, there's going to be issues, you know, after they win 4 to 1 and dominate. And no. So I guess it depends on what type of fans you are.
I mean, I know some rioting is kind of normal, or at least not uncommon in other countries after World Cup or soccer type events. So I wouldn't be surprised if we see some violence here, but Honestly, I'm more concerned just about protecting against terrorism because I think to me, we're in an environment now where we've got a lot of enemies and whether it's Iran or other people that might just not like us, they may be trying to take advantage of this. And I know the FBI is aware of it and they've been trying to track it down and prevent it from happening. And I'm hoping they'll be able to do that. But that would be my bigger concern is, I mean, obviously, I would be concerned about like if I was bringing my kids and they were little and, you know, keeping them away from any kind of violence. But, um, I think to me the bigger concern would be any kind of terrorist attack.
Uh, yeah. Uh, I agree. And Marcela, do you want to give us a quick, quick rundown on the scores of FIFA?
Okay, so there was, um, there's been a lot of games. Um, today Spain, uh, is playing, so that's a big deal. And tomorrow Argentina, the winner of the last cup, is playing tomorrow. Yesterday Germany played and they got— they scored 7 goals out of 1. Unfortunately Ivory Coast, it was their first game ever in the World Cup and they scored 1 goal against Germany, which is great. Germany is a real contender as a— as a football, soccer expert that I am, watching the World Cup since I was born, I think Germany is a contender. Germany's always been my favorite team, but the US has gotten so good. Like, there are people that were— they always— there's always these sportscasters, and especially in Spanish, they always speak down about the US, and they're American too. And for the first time, they They were shocked. They were like, the US team, the men's team is actually a contender for the World Cup because the way they played against Paraguay on Friday was epic. I mean, like, they played, you know, usually you get a score and the score that you make, the goal that you make is like a miracle goal and you're like, yeah, we won just by miracle. But this time around it was amazing. The players were great. Some of the players are the sons. The last person to score, Gio Reyna, he is the son of two soccer players. So the, there was a World Cup soccer team, you know, before his dad was in the soccer team before, and his mom was also in the women's soccer team. So he's like, he's made to do this. Amazing. And he scored at the very last moment, the fourth goal, It was like 1 minute left and it was like epic. But you don't understand how long has been like— I've been cheering for the United States team forever and every time I was like, I can't eat, I'm so nervous watching them. But that day was just like epic. I think that they are playing in a few weeks.
Are we still in? Okay, so US is still in.
Oh yes. Yeah. So they're all in. They're still in the qualifying round, so they're all going to play each other. The best right now that has come out is Germany and the US.
Okay.
And then the rest—
Imagine if it comes down to them, Marcela, who will you root for?
I don't think it's possible for them to go against each other. I— the bracket. But I would root for both of them.
Aww.
Look at you. All right.
Well, you know, how could you not root for the United States?
Because she loves Germany forever.
I'm a pro-Germany fan, like, um, the German league and all this stuff.
So I know— When you say they'll play everybody, I think it's that they get 3 games, right? So they're in, they're in a group of 4.
They're in a group of 4 and then they play each other.
Yeah.
And then I think 32 advance out of 48 teams.
Yeah.
Oh, all right. Well, you guys, uh, that's way more than I know, so keep me posted.
Oh, and then there was the NHL Stanley Cup as well. There was? The Carolina Hurricanes won against the Golden Knights, the Vegas Golden Knights. That was, that was epic. But I'm an NHL fan as well.
I, I used to be a huge NHL fan, but why are we doing the Stanley Cup in June? Like, just Why? I'm over it. I'm not even thinking about it. Okay. I mean, imagine Scott this weekend between like the playoffs for basketball. He loves soccer. He loves soccer. And you know, the Stanley Cup Final, you know, eh. But, and then this UFC stuff with Trump and all of the like epic moments and the crying left. He'd be having a fricking field day today. And you guys, we could never, we're not even trying to do it justice. We're just imagining Scott Adams laughing and talking and oh my God, it would be so epic. So staying on that, let's move over to the UFC. And also, what was the thing the crying Democrats were doing? What was it called?
Give me one second. It was called Rise Up, Sing Out.
Rise Up and Sing Out. So counter-programming. Blah, blah, blah.
Could it be any more theater kid?
Oh, it's so— Owen, you're so lucky you haven't seen any clips yet. You're gonna just want to vomit. But so let's start off with the UFC ad for Freedom 250. Okay, another clip I just want to show you is very patriotic.
Before we enter the arena, we face a moment of truth when we ask ourselves, do I dare take this step? This question tests the courage of our convictions. The answer can change the course of history. Generations of Americans have made the choice to confront fear, to make the walk, to march forward into battle for our country. To march in the streets for a noble cause. To take a giant leap of faith.
This is Houston, say again, please.
Into a new frontier. To walk the path of the free, we follow in the footsteps of the brave, putting one foot in front of the other until there is no turning back. All fights are not the same, but the walk always starts the same way, with a bold first step.
Let's go. Listen, after Biden's administration with all those pride flags and very top-heavy naked men who think they're women, on the White House lawn, we needed to sage the whole place with nothing but testosterone. And so I think we achieved this last night. Whether you like it or not, it happened. Here's a couple of images. Let me make this one bigger for you. I mean, look at that. It's a little bit crazy. I was like, do I like this? Do I not like this? And I was like, you know what? I like it. I like it. It was very— America. Let me show you another.
Yeah.
Hang on. I almost, I almost showed you something really exciting. Here's a— let me remove this. Okay. Here's the flyover shot. That's crazy. Amazing. It would be fun to be there. Let me show you how this thing kicks off here.
And of the free and the fall of the brave.
Dana White is just giggling there. I love it. I've watched Dana so many times. And then this was the Democrat reaction. So, okay, so let—
Did Kid Rock arrive by Apache helicopter?
I don't know. I didn't watch it. Was Kid Rock even there? I'm sure he was. I have no idea. So listen, not to be outdone, the Democrats didn't want you latte boys feeling sad or scared, so they created a safe space for you to come to. Here's cringe number one. Here's Julia Roberts. Let's pray for her.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much for being here. Hi.
Hi.
I don't know about you guys, but my heart is beating really fast right now, and I would just like to take a moment together. Let's all just put our phones down for just a second. You can pick them back up in a minute. They will survive without you. But do this for me. Just put your hand on your beating heart and just close your eyes and just take a really Deep breath in and breathe in all that hope. All that love.
Oh, yes.
And just breathe out all that fear.
Take your mask off and breathe it out. Let it all go.
Do they hand out the glasses when they walk in?
I don't know. Oh, yeah.
Oh.
Oh my God. She is brave.
For a minute there, I thought she was going to do the Pledge of Allegiance.
I was like, no way.
—to this puzzle, and it's a critical piece to continuing the fight that exhausts all of us. We all feel like, I can't turn the news on, I don't want to hear it.
Short, short.
But we have to hear it.
We have to face it.
But if we keep inhaling and exhaling, we will prevail. This I know for sure.
Who wears a suit with shorts?
Oh my God. I mean—
I think it's a skirt, but—
You guys, if you keep inhaling and exhaling, you will prevail. You will. I know, I know you can't turn the news on. I know. What the hell?
Well, she's speaking to her audience. I mean, I just posted a couple stories about how all the progressives are essentially mentally ill and they're the party of the crazy people. So, you know, she has to talk to the people where they are.
Yes. Here's a little palate cleanser. Okay, now, so now, oh, Bette Midler. Bette Midler, bless your soul. I saw the clip and I could just see like her mouth moving that she was singing. And I'm like, please don't tell me she's doing Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy again because like, woo. But no, this one, this one's even more catchy.
All you fascists bound to lose.
You're bound to lose. You fascists bound to lose. Hey there, all you fascists.
Let me put you straight.
You come for the rest of us, we'll fight you at the gate and you will lose, you fascist battle lose. I can't. What is happening? Okay, so then let me just cut over to a clip. Look at this image from the game. I mean, they're doing that. We're like, yes, let's go America. Love that clip. Love the energy. Okay, everyone's having a good time. The weather held out. They were like, no, the weather, there's going to be a tornado, you're going to be attacked by mosquitoes, vicious lightning and wind. And I swear to you, you guys, the weather— okay, so my house, Marge, you can attest, you live near me— that we had such storms last night. The weather literally around the White House went like this. and went all the way around it and avoided it. It was divine intervention. And just like this photo too. I mean, look at this. That is crazy. Look at that picture. That's not AI.
That's what you get when you can control the weather and, you know, do the cloud seeding and everything else. So, you know. Yeah, but you know— That's what's across the weather control systems.
Owen, you know who's controlling the weather. And then I believe that God himself intervened and said, not today, Satan. Okay, so anyway, um, there's one more clip. I had to see it. And I want you to know, I left Robert De Niro on the cutting room floor. There was a clip of this poor old decrepit idiot. That's where he belongs. Yeah, so I said, you know what, I pulled it. And then I'm like, no, no, I'm not, I'm not showing De Niro. But Jane Fonda, bless her too.
Yeah. The committee was relaunched last October to bring together the entertainment industry at this moment when our democracy is in peril. In the face of what's happening, we need our industry to be unified, activated, and unwilling to engage in anticipatory oppression. Obedience.
Is that Jane Fonda or Steven Tyler?
We stand together in defense of our right to free expression. They come for one of us. By God, they come for all of us.
Even that, like, by God, they come for— it's so cliché, you know, like she's just like, oh, it's a rallying cry. Like, oh, everyone must be in lockstep. Don't think for yourself. Don't Stray Away. Marcela, did you want to scream? I wanted to scream.
I mean, did they think this is like an opposition that's worthy of UFC Freedom 250 with the planes, the people with the flags? It's like, it's boring and it's sorry. And it's like, you know, it's the party of women, but boring women, I guess, you know. And testosterone comes out of the UFC fight. It's like men, you know, when good-looking women, just music, airplanes, army. I mean, they can't win. They just can't. And it just looks pathetic. Well, they look very pathetic.
Yeah. Oh, and actually, you can comment on that whole Rise Up, whatever the thing it was called.
Rice up, sing out.
Well, it just seems like a big theater production to me. It's just, you know, they put their famous old people up there and want to, you know, inspire their troops, I guess. But it just seems like they are speaking to a bunch of mentally ill people and trying to calm them down more than anything. So I don't know. I don't understand what anyone would get out of being there other than just seeing some famous people. But, you know, maybe they just wanted to have their counterprogramming. But did they do any real entertainment? I mean, I wouldn't call that— How's that?
—Ash's song.
Entertainment. I'd certainly prefer Dolly Parton if I have to watch an old woman singing a song.
Hey, don't you say anything about Dolly.
Um, her halftime show was great.
She's the best. Um, no, the whole thing was like that. There, De Niro was, you know, crying about the country and Trump and everybody's gonna be locked up and he's a dictator. I'm like, oh my God, you guys, can you not have some fun? Didn't anybody want to watch this fight on that side of the aisle? I mean, honestly, it was so entertaining. Like, whether you're watching the fights or not, it was amazing. They're like, oh, this is ludicrous. And, you know, and then at the end they asked Dana White— they had an interview with him— and they were like, you know, could you make this an annual thing? He's like, F no. He's like, this thing is way too expensive for me. It costs too much money. He's like, I'm never doing this again, and I'm never doing the Sphere in Vegas again. So you guys can all calm down. It's not the new Super Bowl, okay? But it was a once-in-a-lifetime 250-year anniversary Flag Day, Trump's birthday, like America Day. Okay, it's okay, you guys, it's okay, you survived. Um, here is the winner, Justin Gaethje. Okay, uh, Justin Gaethje, he had a TKO over Ilia Topia, I believe his name was. So he is the lightweight champ, and here he is with Joe Rogan after he won. A little different again in the energy from the "Rise Up" sing-along. Ding dong.
You have been waiting for this moment your entire career, and to win it in such a spectacular fashion in a fight where you were at some points 6-to-1 underdog, how good does this feel? Hey, I'm from America. 250 years ago, we were way bigger than 6-to-1 dogs, and look at us thriving now. To all the current, former, and future military service members. Thank you so much. Thank you so much to all the first responders, the police officers, firefighters, the ambulance, EMTs. You guys have no idea how grateful I am. And for as long as I'm able to, I will use my name to make money and support you guys first and foremost. Thank you. And all glory to God. God, I prayed so much for this opportunity to do something legendary, and I know that was absolutely legendary because I cannot even believe it.
Wow, I love him. That was so— oh wait, a word from the left. I love him. Like, he's so grateful, he's so pumped up. The energy was so America. Um, he— oh, I know you guys. All right, so for those of you who saw, there was one other clip and I'm debating playing it or not. I'm gonna say I'm not gonna play it for now just because I just feel like it was a little bit much. Yeah. Oh, and do you know what I'm talking about?
I don't.
Oh, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. I mean, like, Scott would be laughing his butt off because it It's nothing to do with anything. The guy just said it. But I'm like, do we play it? Do we not play it? We'll take a poll. You guys in the chat, Marcella and Owen, if you can see YouTube, just take a poll of people say yes, play it or no, play it. And I just want you to know I'm debating it because it's not in good taste, but I'm just saying.
Now that I see the chat, I think I know what you're talking about.
Okay. Did you see it, Owen?
I didn't see it, but I think I saw a news story that talked about it.
Okay. And then again, here's just one last clip on the UFC. This was at 3 o'clock in the morning, okay? After all of this stuff going on, our now newly minted 80-year-old President Trump boards Air Force One at 3 AM. He's heading to France for the G7 Summit. Good night, Mr. President. God bless. 3 AM. How? I don't know how he does it. Pretty remarkable.
So— Diet Coke and cheeseburgers.
Yes, right? And I think he'll take a nap. Oh, look, you have been absolved of responsibility. I do, I have a spinning chair, you guys, but I'll get tangled in here. So let me come back over. I think I can get to the chat now unless I play that last clip. All right, all right, all right, I'm gonna play it.
Yeah, I didn't see a no, they were all yeses.
Okay, so this just happened, okay, and blah, blah, blah, and Joe Rogan's face is everything. And by the way, a lot of controversy about Joe Rogan's tie. I don't know where it went wrong, but it came like up to his belly button. And I'm like, Joe, so proud of it. I know, like, you know how to tie a tie. Why is it like—
Oh, there's a no. There's one big no.
One no. Yes, all caps. Don't do it. The same person's like, don't do it. Oh my God. All right, I'm just going to play it because it happened. And you know what? You'll be informed now because the left will be complaining about this all the time. And it's not me saying it. It's this guy. I don't even know his name. I forget it, but it was— I'll just let you hear it. His name is Mike. Wait, who are you talking about? The, the fighter. What's his name, you guys in the chat? Not that I need to give him credit. He'll be popular all on his own now. Get over and play the damn thing. Okay, here we go. This was after He won. Andy, nice try. This is after he won. Ready?
And lastly, look at y'all. Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America? Ladies and gentlemen.
I mean, the guy took the opportunity. Lord have mercy. Look, they're like, no, CW, don't. Yeah, I see your nose. You don't have to spam it. We know. He said it. It was funny because it was inappropriate. But anyway, so that was, um, I don't remember his name, you guys. It doesn't matter, but now you know. Now you know.
I'm sorry, I was on mute. His name is Josh Hoket. I don't know how to pronounce his last name, but that's right.
Joe's face, oh my God, he was laughing so hard. He had like the belly laugh going where he was trying to contain himself. Holsey, you love him. You guys loved it. Oh my gosh. All right, I'm just reading your, um— It's really random to say that after winning, but he just had some pent-up Obama anger, I guess. I don't know. Um, entertaining, entertaining, that's for sure. So anyway, yes, Beverly, it trended on X like a, like a banshee. Are you kidding?
Sophia's reminding me that we used to do AI of Scott Adams and Michelle Obama, and they were really—
Oh yeah.
And he was like, they looked really good together.
Yeah, they did. They looked cozy. That's true. Um, all right, so that's that on that. Okay, let's just— that's that. I never want to do a whole sports show again. This was painful for me. Um, but I hope it gave you a little compare and contrast of patriotism in whatever country you live in, the way you celebrate, you know, it's The Knicks and the Knicks fans are dead to me. Sorry, don't care. Brutal. Unless the Knicks come out and strongly condone that mess and do something to help fix the damages and tell their fans to better behave, which will never happen because they're not their mommy and daddy. I'm just talking like one. So you what?
Condemn.
Condemn. Yeah. Yeah. What did I say?
Condone.
Oh, condemned. I said condone. Condemn. Okay.
Twice actually today. Oh, look at me.
Do not condone that. Condemn it.
They are condoning it, right?
Yeah, I don't like it. Uh, all right, so I'm gonna let Owen give us the update on Iran, and I'm gonna first give you Trump's tweet to read, and then if you could just give us an update, you guys, that would be great. All right, bigger. Okay.
The United States will be hitting Iran, whose navy, air force, radar, and aircraft, and all other forms of defense, together with its most offensive capability are gone very hard tonight. At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Karg Island and other oil infrastructure points and assume total control of their oil and gas markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President Donald J. Trump.
All right, so what's the update today? Do we still have a thing?
In theory, we have a deal. So that's the latest word. I don't think we have very many details of what that deal consists of, but supposedly there was some kind of electronically signed deal that was—
Yes.
—made on Sunday. And so I think none of what we just read is necessarily going to happen, but there have also, of course, been violations of the ceasefire already. That there's stuff going on in Lebanon between Israel and Lebanon, and they're both accusing each other of breaking the agreements and Israel and Netanyahu is saying they're not going to be bound by the agreement in terms of attacking Lebanon. So we'll have to see where it goes from here. But in theory, Trump is saying we have an agreement, and so they're going to try and make that happen.
Um, Marcella?
Um, well, we don't know what the actual deal says, but the left is going crazy. MSNOW and CNN are like It's worse than Obama's deal. So first they are like, oh, Trump needs to make peace because we don't want war. And then now they— now that Trump has a deal, they're like, oh my God, you should have seen them. They're like, this morning they were like, we don't know what's in it. It's gonna— he's— she's gonna give more money to than Obama ever gave, 10 times more money, uh, to Iranians because Iranians would never do this for free. And then they, they see every single negative thing. We don't know what's in the deal. However, Iran came out with 14 points of what might be in the deal, what they allege is in the deal, and that didn't sound so good. So— No. And I don't even think it's possible because one of the points was that Israel would basically leave the area they've conquered of Lebanon. And I doubt they will because it's—
I think, uh, yeah, I, uh, again, you guys, like, I'm not anti-this, I'm not anti-that, okay? Just please don't put me in a box. I'm just looking at this from an outsider. We're obviously tied up in this with Israel. Like, every time we get to this point, Israel, Bibi shoots off another bomb and then everyone's like, no, he's defending Israel. Okay. But like, We're not Israel. Like, we're trying to get this thing done and get the heck out of here. So I feel like he's not being a good team player, Bibi. And I know this is going to make Mark Levin very upset, but Mark, we're Americans. We live in America. Okay. And we want this to stop. So sorry for everyone who's going to call me whatever the name is. I forget what they call you. I don't care. I want this to stop. It's enough. And that's why every time we're like, we have an agreement, we reached a deal. I'm like, did we? Yeah. It really? Because part of a deal is that all the sides have to agree to it to make it bind and make it work. And we cannot make a deal with Iran without Israel, obviously, because if Israel doesn't agree, or Bibi doesn't agree to whatever our deal is, it's not going to work. So I don't know. I, I'm, I'm bummed. I'm really bummed. I'm sick of it. And I know that Trump had some very strong language. Yeah. Again for Bibi. And he, you know, told him like, how stupid can you be and to knock it off. And now I'm only going to single out Mark Levin just because it's fun. And now Mark Levin is going to scream extra loud today because he's so upset that our president had harsh words with Netanyahu. So anyway, I don't even know where I'm going with it. I just want this to end. And we're just too wrapped up with what Israel wants and what they want and what we want have nothing to do with each other. So I don't know, Owen, what do you, what's your take on that?
I don't know that I could really predict exactly what's going to happen. I think there is, of course, the theory at least that Netanyahu wants to stay at war to avoid his case coming to trial that some people say is bogus, some people say is not, and some people say he's making his war decisions based on that. Some people say he's not. And, um, Trump is saying they have a deal. Some people are saying he doesn't. I mean, it's like there's this whole thing for weeks, if not months, has been kind of this Schrödinger's cat situation where it's like we don't really know what's happening and nothing really seems to make any sense. So I, I think it's almost like a permanent fog of war situation for now, and we're just gonna have to see what actually happens. I think that's the only way I can judge it, is to see do we keep dropping bombs? Do they keep dropping bombs? Do they keep firing missiles? And, you know, where do we go from here? But my hope is that we can just get out of there. I just don't think we should be there anymore. And we probably will be for a while because I'm guessing even if we have a deal, it's contingent on certain things happening and we're going to stay there until we make sure they happen. So unfortunately, I'm probably going to be disappointed, but I'd like to turn those aircraft carriers around and just say mission accomplished. Yeah.
Yeah, and Hulzi, I agree with you. So give Bibi asylum, okay? Give him asylum. Let Israel elect who they want and then let's take it from there, okay? Because this is like, it's kind of obvious what's happening. And again, like I don't have fear of like everybody attacking me who doesn't agree with me. It's just so exhausting that if you comment on this, as an American who— not that I don't care about Israel, but I, I care about America first. So, you know, as, as an American who cares about America first, I'm sick of it. And it was a mistake. I mean, we, we can't— you can't do a war like this if you're not both completely aligned. Like, here's the strategy. This is what we want to happen. We go in, we get this done, and we get out. Well, none of that is happening because now it's like we're firing rockets over here. They're firing them over there. Now we want this territory. Now we want a piece of that. Well, that's not how it started. So, um, I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen. But, um, of course, as soon as I saw that there was a peace deal, I was like, no, there's not. And, um, I guess this is to be determined. Um, any— anything else on this topic, Owen or Marcela?
Well, it's going to be signed, um, on Friday with Vice President Pence in Geneva, Switzerland. So between now and Friday, who knows what can— what's in store for us. But I think if anybody can make this happen, it's Donald Trump. You know, if anybody can make a deal such as this where you can't believe it, I can't believe it, Owen speechless, you know, we're all like, maybe not, maybe you can do it. I think it's he's the man to do it. Um, but—
I think in order for him to make a deal, he's going to piss off his new best friends, like the Mark Levins.
He doesn't care.
Well, I hope not, because it— I felt like he was treading a little bit because then they would get all up in it.
I think Mark Levin came out angry yesterday, and so I don't know, pretty soon we'll see a possible truth post saying— calling him some kind of name. I don't know.
Oh my God.
I don't worry about that, only because it's like, I don't think someone like Mark Levin or the people who want, you know, Iran just decimated— they're never going to be happy no matter what happens, because we're not gonna— we're not gonna knock out their power plants and water and kill millions of people. So they're just— they're gonna have to be unhappy. And, and that's the way I would look at it if I was Trump, is like I can't really cater to what they want because they're never going to be satisfied, and what they want is genocide, basically. And so, you know, I don't think that's a possibility. And so I think, um, you know, that there are— there is going to be an element on the right that will be unhappy, the ones that want the war to continue and want the fighting to continue and want the death to continue and the spending and everything else. I mean, I'm sure some of this is tied into the whole military-industrial complex idea as well. Yeah. But I just think it's been long enough. I think we've made whatever progress we can make in terms of taking away some of their military capability and some of their nuclear weapons capability, and I think there's not much more to be gained there.
Yeah, um, I was going to play a clip today from Brigitte Gabriel, who I really, really like, um, but she, she's super smart about the whole thing, and she's just, you know, her reaction to it was, you know, you can't make a deal with them because during this deal time and this ceasefire time, they're just re-upping everything they're doing. And she, she's saying that you have to completely, completely wipe out the whole regime and, you know, just annihilate them. Um, so—
Agree with her because that would mean regime change. That would mean our nation and our soldiers dying, you know. That would mean another Afghanistan and Iraq fiasco, and look at what that turned out to be.
So Yeah, I think I'm gonna play her clip tomorrow because I— listen, like, the three of us agree we want this over, um, but I do want to play like an—
I love her, to be honest, but I disagree on like what it ends up being if you want that. Yeah.
Yeah. So you know what, let's, let's peek into that just a little bit tomorrow just so we can see both sides, um, because I think she is someone that most of us, you know, respect, um, and appreciate. So we'll, you know, we'll just check it out for just for fun, just for fun. Um, so okay, listen, we have 2 minutes left and the 3 of us will be back tomorrow. Um, we have a Scott Adams whiteboard, I think, tomorrow, you guys, so that will be fun. Um, and we'll obviously touch on all the news that's been going on. There was just way too many sports this weekend and like crying and laughing and flags and mayhem to to, you know, move on. You go, Leslie Champion, with your flags! I love it. Um, okay, you guys, so yeah, we'll end a couple seconds early. That's okay. I don't have anything else to entertain you with. Marcela or Owen, do you have a joke you want to tell or anything? No. Owen?
I'm good. That's— I think, I think we've done it for today.
We did it, you guys! All right, so let's start our goodbyes. And you guys, last week I forgot to thank Shelley and Scott in the main part of the show. However, we did leave with playing an Akira song. And during the song, we were all live and we were doing our cheers to Shelley and Scott. So, whew, we did get it in and everyone's like happy about that. So I just wanted to publicly say we did get it done during the end of the show. All right, you guys, do you— I was gonna say, do you want to get played out with another song? Let's do it. Let's do a closing sip though to Scott and Shelley and thank them for allowing our show here to continue in Scott's name and with all of us together. Jeff might be coming back this week, B, and let's get out there and be useful today. And as always, let's have a closing sip to our beloved Scott. Okay guys, we'll see you tomorrow. To Scott. Sorry, I'm frozen.
To Scott. To Scott.
Hi everyone. I'm gonna play a song. Bye guys.
Over clean up song.
Here's one that's more about, uh, just not—
Yeah, I'm gonna play a little song if you'll please.
This one's very relevant to me.
This one's very relevant to me. This one's very relevant to me.
The usual old frame is that if you're having some bad luck, you think that you're unusually unlucky because it happened to you. You think of all the things that could happen to anybody, and then you think, "Oh man, why are all these things happening to me? Why me? Why do I have all these problems?" This one's called "We All Have Problems." Here's the reframe— Reframe is everyone has problems! Everyone has problems!
We all have problems yes we do... Yes we do... Everyone has problems! We all have problems yes we do... All had problems yet still did not give up on life... Hi everybody I'm Dr. James Compton Jr., founder of The Center for Creative Leadership at USC Marshall School of Business. Welcome to my weekly video blog about creativity! Thank you so much for watching this week's episode of My Weekly Blog Post!
Everyone has problems. Just the fact that you don't know somebody else's problem, that's pretty gutsy of you to think that your problem is bigger than theirs. You don't know their problems. You don't know anything about people's problems. The really big ones they keep to themselves. You know, some Sometimes you see it if it's a physical thing, like in my case, but generally speaking, generally speaking, people's battle is inside their head. Then that could be quite a fierce battle. You don't know what's going on in there. So the moment you think, "Why me? Why me?" Why me?
Why me?
The reframe is, everybody's got problems. You don't have the special problems. You don't have the special problems.
We all have problems, yes we do! All have problems, yes we do! Yes we do, yes we do, yes we do—
Everyone has problems.
We all had problems, yes we did! All had problems, yes we did! Oh yes we did, yes we did!
Everyone has problems, you guys, but not as bad as those people at that concert last night. Okay, you guys, thank you YouTube, Rumble, Spotify, X, and Locals. We'll be back tomorrow and I can't wait. Okay, we'll have more news tomorrow. It'll be a good time for everybody. Bye guys. Thanks for coming. Thanks for Thanks for getting through this show with me today too, with all these clips and sports. Ay, ay, ay, it's not my wheelhouse. Love you guys too. Thank you, you guys. YouTube, you're the best. Crusher!
Crusher! Bye, guys.
