Okay.
Ooh, Marcella.
It's Wednesday.
Not your favorite day?
It's hump day.
Oh, it's her favorite day. Good morning, everyone. Don't worry, allegedly Owen will be here. He's just finishing some kind of little project or something. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Okay, here we go. Yeah, it's Wednesday.
Look at you. You guys look very handsome and beautiful today. Looks stunning.
I need a little gloss.
Mary West, Beverly, Bookish, Jennifer, Interested Party, hmm, 3066, not sure what that's about, but Kevin, ETA, Bookish.
Measurements.
Yeah, Steven.
Steven, what's going on? All right, good morning everybody, welcome in. Yeah, uh, we— Marcel and I were talking about sleeping with our pets and all of a sudden I looked at the clock, I'm like, oh, it's 10:01. So sorry, we got carried away. We didn't have Owen there to crack the whip.
Um, there goes Dr. Fonhardy. I didn't forget you.
No, never, never, never, never.
So You're gonna crack the whip on me? What's going on?
She, she never gets tired of this one. Good morning, everybody. I know, don't we look sexy?
Ooh, Erica's look seems very sexy.
Yes, thank you to Chester, um, à la ChatGPT, making us look great. Um, so listen, I cannot believe it. It is August 12th already. We're halfway through this month, just about. I can't take it. Um, And I need coffee. Let's see. Yes, YouTube. Look at YouTube. How you guys doing? Rumble. X. Hello, X. X, would you repost the stream to your timeline? That would be amazing. And you guys, please do give us a like if you were on YouTube yesterday. So, you know, Rumble and YouTube, apparently they just don't get along. And so I ended the show and Then Heisenberg messaged me and he said, you know, the chat on YouTube is still running, and it was four hours later. So I don't know if you guys got to have a good old four-hour chat, but that was yesterday. Good morning, Owen.
Good morning.
How are you?
Oh my God! Marcella is full of ooze today.
You look very handsome in that green shirt. I'm sure it cost you a million bucks.
All right, we're gonna have coffee. Marcela's gonna have some ice water, and we'll be right back. Here we go.
And you lucky viewer, you came to the right place at the right time, unless you're watching this on replay, in which case the delayed simultaneous sip— some would call it the asynchronous sip, but that's just them— it's still just as good. But you know you need something to get this going, right? It doesn't happen by itself. No, you can't do the simultaneous sip unless you have a cup or a mug or a glass, a tankard, chalice, or stein, a canteen, jug, or flask, a vessel of any kind, and fill it with your favorite liquid. I'm partial to coffee. And join me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine hit of the day, the thing that makes everything better. It's called the simultaneous sip, and it happens right now.
Go!
Ah, that's some good sipping right there. I hope it was good on your end too.
It was good on my end too. You guys, good for you.
Very good.
Hi, Owen.
Hello.
Welcome in. I feel like I'm so low. I can't get taller. You know what it is, you guys? It's that I have the name thing under me that extends so far, so I always feel like— I'm like, okay, I'm hiding.
I thought it was just because you're short.
Nah, she is, she is, she is the right size, Owen.
Just for that, Owen, I'm gonna play a special clip with Hillary Clinton and Kara Swisher just for you.
All right.
You guys can send your, uh, complaints to Owen And that's why you're going to have to see it. So anyway, you guys, let's get her going. There's so many clips and news and things and stories today. I literally was like, I don't know which direction to go and where to go. But there is one thing we should start with. This is, uh, some great news. And we got a US Marine, Robert Gilman, back from Russia. He was, uh, imprisoned there since 2022. Let's Take a look.
Good morning, Whit. He spent more than four years in a Russian prison, with six more ahead of him. But this morning, he is back in the U.S. after a welcome home surprise by Trump officials. Overnight, former U.S. Marine Robert Gilman touching down on American soil after four years in a Russian prison. His plane met by U.S. negotiator and special envoy Steve Witkoff. Trump official Sebastian Gorka. Posting these pictures on X showing a gaunt 32-year-old Gilman given Trump paraphernalia, a cheeseburger, milkshake, and a cigar. When he first boarded the plane to freedom, Gilman was covered by an American flag with his mother at his side. His family said after years of horrible treatment in the Russian prison, he became essentially catatonic, unable to eat or respond. And suffering from a severe bout of pneumonia. President Trump posting on social media he had spoken to Russia's President Putin, and soon afterward, Gilman was given a pardon on humanitarian grounds. Gilman was accused of kicking a Russian police officer at a train station while intoxicated. Gilman said he had fallen ill and police hit him with a baton while on a visit to extended family. He was sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
When Robert was detained, um, it broke my heart. I just thought about how hard it was for him to be there and what he was going through.
Born in Poland to Russian immigrants who settled in Massachusetts, where Gilman gained U.S. citizenship, the family thanked President Trump and his team, as well as Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey, For helping with his release. Gilman will be treated at a military hospital in Texas for physical ailments and for the emotional wounds he had to endure.
Guys? Yeah, absolutely.
Uh, welcome home. Ah, well, welcome home. Thank God. You know, Steve Witkoff— all right, listen, raise your hand if you want Steve Witkoff to go shopping with you, to buy a car, to buy a home. Like, I, I mean, the man can negotiate his ass off. This is just great news. So Nice to see a Marine come home, right, Al?
Yeah, I, I mean, I think it's in my mind undisputable that Trump has been one of the best presidents ever at bringing people home that are locked up in other countries. Um, you know, I think whether it's hostages or, or people like this that have been, you know, just imprisoned by other countries, um, I don't think it's— I don't— I mean, I don't know the statistics, but I think, I think Trump's brought home more people than just about anybody. And it seems like that's— this is one area where Um, whatever team he's put together, Steve Witkoff or whoever else is involved, is just really good at this.
Yeah, he is. And then you put him with Jared and they, they get a lot of things done. Marcella, aren't we excited? Poor guy. Did you see how skinny he was?
Yeah, I, you know, and how, how pale he is and how skinny. I mean, it's just, I hope he's okay, um, health-wise. He's, he, he recoups. But it's, it's funny how President Trump was like, I'll have the cheeseburger for you that you wanted. And I'm like, He needs a few of those. But I'm— today, I think, or maybe yesterday, Trump posted on Truth, um, a picture of him, and it says, uh, imprisoned under Biden, liberated under— something like that— liberated under Trump.
So true.
He—
I mean, Biden left people up there in orbit, and Trump went and got them. So yeah.
And he also brought back the, you know, basketball player, trans or whatever that was, but the women's basketball player that, uh, you know, Brittany Griner. Yeah, that had to, um, Brittany Griner raid like the, the worst arms dealer in the world, like, you know, Merchant of Death, I think was his name.
Yes.
And I don't— I'm pretty sure Trump didn't do anything like that.
No.
No, no, no. Um, yeah, so I— don't make me take a left turn on Brittany Griner, you guys. I, I said grinder on purpose, but, um, did you see the videos of Brittany playing basketball in Brittany's pool without like a shirt on? I'm just saying.
The fact that they would even have pictures of without a shirt on is kind of questionable.
Yeah.
I think the chick's a dude, but you know what? That's just my opinion. Don't get mad at anyone here. That's just me. Okay, so I'm gonna move on before I get in trouble because, you know, I do have a bit of a mouth. So, oh, Owen, can you— did you see my message about that sugar story?
Yeah.
I mean, sure. So there was a study that was done. I mean, the headline is like, sugar, not just meat, fuels growth of the brain. But I think it's essentially that they did some studies that found that it was important to have enough glucose to fuel the growth of brains, like brain cells. And they said that pregnant and breastfeeding females need a lot more carbohydrates than males because it's helping your baby grow their brain, essentially.
Okay.
And, you know, they connected back to evolution where it's basically they think it's just part of reproductive success and survival to do this, but that's probably why we like sugar so much that it's part of that evolutionary relationship that says, why do we like carbs? Well, I think part of the answer is that it helps our brains grow. And so, maybe that's something to consider if you're one of these carnivore people or low-carb people. And, I think the suggestion is that it should probably come from things like fruit and honey as opposed to just raw sugar.
Right.
But, there is a place for it. And so, I think it's maybe a little bit back to the balanced diet to just not have only one thing. I do try to stay relatively low carb, although I'm certainly not religious about it. And sometimes, I have a lot of carbs. But, I think I try— I don't add sugar, like actual sugar to my diet whenever I can, But, you know, I do certainly like my bananas and fruit and, you know, melons and other things.
And we're not saying corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup. So everyone relax, all the carnivores and health nuts in the chat, I applaud you, but I don't think it means that kind of stuff. It's more of like natural derived sugars. So not that I'm happy about that, 'cause I would love anything for someone to tell me sugar's good for me and I should start smoking and I'd be so happy. But anyway, I digress.
So sugar is good for you and you should start smoking.
Thank you, Owen.
But isn't it? So I looked at the story because you shared it with us, and I was like, okay, what's the catch? Follow the money, right?
Yeah.
And so I grokked it, and I asked Grok who funded the research.
Big sugar.
Guess who funded the research?
Big fruit.
Big fruit. Power Powerful Plants UKRI Horizons Europe Guaranteed Fund funded the research, which has as its, you know, goal to support the broader use of powerful plants and project at the University of Glasgow. And so I was like, who is— because you remember how Scott would always tell us, if they say sugar or coffee or something is like going to be helpful to you, always look at who actually sponsored it.
So yeah, and you know what, interestingly enough, next week, you guys, I invited on Mark Mitchell. I don't know if you know him, but he's from Rasmussen Reports, formerly of Rasmussen. So I cannot wait to talk to him about polling, how it happens, who's paying for it. So we'll get like a sneak peek behind the curtain on all of those things and the old 25% rule. So next week, Mark Mitchell will Will be on, and that should be a fun conversation.
But is polling really polling, or is it propaganda laundering?
That's what we're gonna find out. Yep. Owen, you will ask him that. Um, yep, he has a new company. He's no longer with Rasmussen, and that's another story, and it's interesting. Um, so the 25% guy. Exactly. So somebody reminded me, speaking of, uh, big fruit and high fructose corn syrup, I mean, I love this clip, and I have a question after this clip for you guys. Just, I'm gonna take my own poll on this. So let's take a look at Marco Rubio, our favorite Gen Xer. Here we go. Adopted RFK's diet of red meat and fermented vegetables?
No, this is a crazy diet. This is a diet that consists of eating sauerkraut and meat. Now, you understand, like, this is not a sustainable thing. Like, you can't just walk into a—
Well, he sustains it because he does it.
Can you imagine? He has to travel with coolers of sauerkraut. I'm not going to travel the world with a cooler full of sauerkraut. It's ridiculous. I can't do it. It's not sustainable.
Are you Maha?
I'm in favor of Maha. Like, I think people should be healthy.
No, he is not.
But I think ultimately—
He is completely not. What's he eat? Pop-Tarts.
No, I don't eat Pop-Tarts every day.
Okay, you eat sweets.
The Pop-Tart is one of the great American innovations. In history of the world. If you think about it, it comes in this beautiful foil package.
All the things you should not be eating. Every single thing.
Oh my God, he's so funny. I mean, he is. We would have never known he was funny if he didn't have this go-round. Um, all right, so why is his wife throwing him under the bus? Well, wait, that's my question.
So I know I noticed that throughout the interview.
Yeah, the whole interview. I, I, I'm not saying what my opinion is either way, but how did you guys feel in the chat about his wife chiming in She chimes in throughout the interview. And I'm just wondering how you guys feel, because my thing is we're not used to really seeing that. I think most wives sit there diligently like, oh, it's, you know, I'm very professional. She chimed in a lot. Did you like it? Did you feel like you got to know them better as a couple, like their sense of humor, their dynamic? Or do you prefer her staying silent? And it's no shade either way. I'm just wondering what you guys think. What you guys think, but I'll you know we'll look after the show for real. We have an I loved it. Only negative comments. She should STF you. Mm-hmm. You loved it. It's nice to hear from the spouse once in a while, and it's nice to see their relationship. It makes them more relatable. Normal couple.
Uh huh.
Uh huh.
Okay.
She's a Budinsky.
All right.
So I I found it interesting because it. It did stand out to me like it did to Owen. He was just, like, appalled by it, right, Owen?
Well, I don't know. I mean, it seemed like he was at least keeping a good sense of humor about it, at least, like, in that clip. I mean, I, I haven't watched the full interview yet, but I like it, you know.
I—
it, it certainly seemed like, what's going on here? Because that— it's just not what you would expect in an interview like that. Like, you're on national TV, you're, you're, you're with someone, your husband is potentially running for president soon, which is probably why they're doing this type of interview. And so like in that context, you would kind of expect that like, okay, I'm gonna act like a first lady that's gonna support my man as he runs for president. And yet it's more like they're at some dinner party talking to another woman and, you know, the, the Marco is just like making certain claims and she's putting him in his place. Like, no, no, you're not. You, you don't eat that. Like, It's like, it seemed like just out of character for that context, for that type of conversation.
It did totally stand out because of that. But Marcela, my thought was, it's not like it was a serious subject. It wasn't like they were talking about policy. So I felt like, hmm, I don't know.
Yeah, when they ask about policy questions, like, when does, when do you know, do you know before the news hits? When something's going to happen, like, you know, Venezuela and all that. She was very coy. She was very shy about those answers. She's like, well, I don't know. He like has many calls. I wouldn't know. You know, like she was very hesitant to answer those questions. But I think it's authentic in a way because I don't think she's so polished like like the other wives, I guess. So she was more like a regular person, and maybe she needs a little bit more polish when speaking on any podcast, regardless if it's on national TV or not, because it's going to be used against his— her husband, you know.
Well, I do have one more clip, so let's look at what— I just find this interesting because I really think it, it stood out to so many people because it wasn't the norm. I don't I don't really know how I feel about it yet, but let's watch this next clip and maybe we'll we'll adjust our opinions or dig in harder. All right, let's go.
What keeps you up at night?
Everything. I mean, especially her phone. Imagine you're falling asleep and all of a sudden the video comes up. Hey guys, have you heard anything? Like what?
What happened?
Who's here?
Who's in my room?
Get ready with it.
It's crazy. So you know that.
And the thing is that then you need complete. And it's complete silence in that room. So then of course sometimes I'll just start cracking up, whatever. Something will happen and then he'll get mad at me.
Not only that, the glow, it's a scientifically proven thing. The glow of the screen will keep you up. And her phone is always on the brightest thing, so the whole room is lit up.
That's untrue.
And then you hear somebody screaming all of a sudden.
That's completely exaggerated. Completely, completely exaggerated.
It's very relatable.
It's a form of torture. It's banned in many countries. You can't keep people up at night showing them videos.
That is true. It's a passive-aggressive way of, you know, when, uh, when he decides to, uh, watch TV the whole day.
I never watch TV the whole day.
No, I know, I know, I know. I'm just kidding.
I wish.
I can't.
Oh, that last line was a little sketchy. Marcela, what's your take?
Oh, he watches TV all day on Sunday. Yeah, I'm thinking— I don't know, but you know how wives are, uh, when— I'm sure everyone knows this— like, when your husband is not doing some not doing anything, you're like, what are you doing? Why aren't you doing anything? There's all these to-dos, you know? Like, so it's kind of funny. Um, I think she's just, um, I think they just have like that type of relationship, but she has to polish it. I don't know, you guys on the chat, tell us, like, because she's being authentic and I, I, I don't know if that's dangerous.
I don't hate it. I don't hate it. Like, I— you know what, maybe it's like, again, I'm bringing up the Gen X thing because if, like, let's say J.D. Vance becomes the next president, we're not having a Gen X president.
Like, we're—
we've never had one.
She's probably, uh, I don't know her age, so I don't know if she's—
I think they're both Gen X, but I, I feel relatable to that because I feel like that's how my friends and their spouses and everybody kind of communicate. It feels Real to me, and I think the older generations are a little bit more buttoned up. And then I don't know you know how the younger generations are going to be, like the JD Vance generations. But I don't know; I kind of like it, and I feel like I wouldn't say she's not polished. I think it was like a relaxed interview, and I'd like to see her during a more serious interview if she keeps it together. Owen, any thoughts on it?
I agree with you. I mean, I think it certainly came across as these are 2 authentic people that are just sort of having banter with you. Like, like I said, almost like you were at a dinner party with them or they were— we were just talking. Like, and, um, I think it, it did seem like they have a good relationship with each other too. Like, that even though I started off saying, why is she thrown under the bus? And I, I do think she was to some extent, but Clearly, that's kind of just the dynamic they have. Like, they, you know, it did— I didn't get any sense that, like, he was giving her arrow eyes, like, what the hell are you doing? Or anything, you know. Like, it seemed like he expected that, or he at least wasn't surprised by that kind of dynamic. And so I think it is a very sort of, you know, humanizing interview, which may have been part of the point.
Probably.
I know maybe that's what they were going for, was to say, you know, Marco has this image of being kind of stuffy or, you know, like serious. And let's, let's have some humor and let's, you know, show him that you're just a real regular person and, and get him more relatable. So maybe that's what they were going for.
I don't know.
So I guess I'm just on the fence. I mean, there are good points on all sides of this. Like Boo Dog said, number one rule, don't outshine the boss. That's true. She was trying to one-up him a bit. And you've— and like, I know because I can be a one-upper all the time. And you have to know to just like Sit back, let him have the last word or the punchline. And Andy Wang, your point that she's Cuban or Colombian, Mrs. Rubio will definitely eff you up. It can also be cultural. I mean, listen, it can be just part of who you are. So, you know, we'll see. Well, I mean, I'm sure they have a good time at home. I'm sure it's fiery. So I just thought that was interesting. It just kind of came out of nowhere.
He learned how to argue.
Yeah, exactly.
You think you'll have a Cuban president who takes over Cuba?
Oh, I don't know.
He can take over both.
Okay, so, oh my gosh. All right, that was—
sorry to say, but you know what I found the most interesting is that Pete Hegseth is like a cat person, and I didn't know that. He has like several cats. They live next to him. And the cat always comes to— one of the cats comes over to Mark's house. And like, he acts like he owns the place, like every other cat acts. But that was funny. Oh, reading that.
Let's go, cat people. All right, so what else? All right, so now this falls under the guise, and this is partially Owen's fault for making a crack at me this morning. So this is my, if I had to see it, you have to see it segment. You guys, you know how this is. I know, I I know. So I loathe these 2 women so much. So the, the— it's Hillary Clinton and then Kara Swisher. And if you don't know Kara Swisher, we've mentioned her before. She is, um, Scott Galloway's podcast partner. And if you don't know Scott Galloway, like, don't worry about it, but he's, he's just another— never mind. Um, so here's Kara Swisher talking to Hillary. And I love how Kara just plants a little idea for Hillary, and then Hillary's like, yes, yes. But how can you be so triggered over such stupidity? Watch this.
I think there'll have to be some— uh, you'll probably have to take down the arch, uh, which he is determined to put up, which I think is just, just a terrible idea. I think we'll have to worry about the reflecting pool because it's not going to be fixed by the time he leaves, assuming he leaves. So there's going to be a long list list. I'm making a list.
Are you making a list?
Are you going to degold the horses?
Those horses?
Degold the horses, take down—
Have you seen them up close?
Yeah, I saw a picture. I saw a picture.
It feels like Saddam Hussein.
I mean, seriously. You know what? That's a very— you know, when I was in Baghdad after the fall of Saddam Hussein, I had meetings. I was then a senator. I had meetings in some of his palaces and they were quite Reminiscent of what we are seeing in our own White House. It's just insane.
Is that hard for you to watch?
Or just, you're like, I'll take down the gold?
It's sad to me. It's sad that it's so tackied up. And it is— it's a reflection of, you know, his narcissistic personality and his need to feel important, including sticking gold Uh, embellishments all over the walls of the Oval Office.
You know what's tacky? Her wardrobe. Um, so go ahead, Marcella, what would you like to say?
It's just like mental illness, like what she has. It's just— I, I don't know, I don't want to— I'm not a psychologist, but she's obsessed. Like having— like, I believe she does make a list of all these things that she wants to undo. And it's like, I think if, if the Republicans focus on the Democrats, the only— like, if the Democrats don't have a plan and all they have to offer is anti-Trump everything, that's not going to get them to the White House again, you know? So I'm like, good for you, keep that list going because it's gonna get longer.
And don't you love how Swisher's like, it's like Saddam Hussein, and she's like, Yes, yes it is. Like, so now—
Who has Hussein as their middle name?
Yeah, and by the way, her anger should not be at Trump. It should be at Obama for bypassing her, uh, you know, or for her not being the next president. So listen, whatever, Owen, go ahead, tear them up, Owen.
What struck me was that she's starting to look like George Soros.
She totally does.
Did you notice that with like the eyes, like that, those puffy round-eyed things? What's going on there?
Shapeshifting.
It seems like they might have something in common. I don't know. But, um, yeah, I don't know. She's— I don't even know why anyone puts her on the air anymore. It just seems like she's done. And, you know, maybe she wants to be relevant, but, um, I don't know why anyone would even care about Hillary Clinton anymore. It's almost like, you know, but bit like the James Carville era. Like, okay, yeah, he used to be important, but not anymore.
I know.
And I, I don't really think she's gonna try and run for president again, but I, I would love it if she did. I mean, I'd love to see Hillary Clinton against Vance.
AOC. Hillary in the primaries against AOC would be amazing. And Gavin Newsom. I kind of like it.
Yeah. And we could have her, you know, falling down again and getting in some weird van and Claiming it's—
When she coughed up that thing. Ugh. Anyway, so sorry, you guys, but sometimes I am thinking of you when I see something horrible, and I'm like, I need to share this with the sippers because, you know, we're, we're a family. So that was that. Um, so Hillary, relax. Go, go retire. Go graze in the field. Um, and Bill looks terrible too. Do you see him with like an oxygen tank? I mean, look, everyone's aging, so like, why, why try to just keep yourself I don't get it. But all right, so another thing we have to follow up with. Owen, you posted a story. Do we know more about Fort Knox? Because Rand Paul went there. Let's see what he says real quick.
Fort Knox. We've come to see the gold. Our country has about 147 million ounces of gold, and about half of it is stored here at Fort Knox. We're going to be going deep under the ground. Underground to see the gold. But more importantly, we're going to be talking today about what happened to our dollar when we separated from gold in 1971. Over 85% of the value of the dollar has been lost since we delinked from gold. So there is a problem. The media now calls this affordability. What it really is is inflation. We run a debt. As the deficit runs up, $2 trillion a year, Part of that debt is bought by the Federal Reserve with newly created dollars. This leads to inflation and prices are up. And my goodness, just go to the grocery store, still look at the price of meat. Prices are up 25% in the last 5 years. It's inflation. It's related to deficit spending. It's related to unbalanced budgets. So we're going to look at the gold today, but really what we're talking about is why is our paper currency failing us? And why does our country continue to run such massive debts? I'm going down underground and I'll let you know what I see in a little bit. Thanks.
He's going down under. So, Owen, did he find the gold?
I think supposedly he said it's all there, but I don't remember if he actually showed us any gold. And, um, I still have a question about this whole thing. Like, I mean, I certainly would think it would be a huge scandal if it was missing, But at the same time, what is the purpose of all this gold in Fort Knox now? Like, it used to be this backs our currency. That was a very clear purpose, but now it doesn't. So what is it for?
I don't know. I mean, it's always just been like a punchline in my opinion, because what, what is it for? You know, you see like images and memes of like all these gold bars stacked up and like, okay, so what are we doing with it? And can we solve any of our issues with it?
Um, I don't I mean, I know in the past some other countries like put their gold in Fort Knox and we kept it for them for some reason. And then recently I heard a lot of them were taking back their gold and stuff. But like, is it basically just a slush fund for us to pay off other countries? Like, what, what is the purpose of all this gold at this point? Because it's not to back the currency. So what is it?
So some people are saying it's real money or real value. Um, to keep it out of other people's hands. Let's see, part of our national assets. Yeah, I do.
So Grok says gold is not used for everyday currency. It like boldened that. I don't know why. Minting circulating coins or routine financial transactions. But it says the main purpose of it is 3 points: acting as tangible reserves of wealth for the federal government, providing a hedge and symbol of financial strength, And then serving as strategic asset that could theoretically support the economy or be used in extreme scenarios. So it's kind of like your bunker. The gold is like the bunker. Not your, your bunker, Owen. I haven't been there.
So it's symbolic and it's there for when the currency finally fails?
You could say that.
Emergencies.
I mean, Yeah, I don't know, like extreme scenarios.
I don't know. That's, you know what, that's some— if anyone knows. So, uh, Boo Dog says all central banks, uh, are buying, and Ouroboros says all central banks hold gold. It's just, is it just like oil? I mean, I don't know. So that is a good question, Owen. I wish you had the actual answer for us, but, um, And, uh, Freebird says Grok doesn't understand economics. So, um, yeah, that is a good question. Like, why is it just sitting there and what are we doing with it? Um, it's a Plan B for when the dollar fails, we're seeing. So good question.
I don't know how that Plan B would work though. Like, okay, dollar fails, now what? What do you do with the gold?
Owen, this is your new assignment.
Yeah, you get to go ask President Trump at the White House.
Yeah, Owen, get to DC and ask these questions.
Is the answer that you would issue a new currency that is backed by gold? And if so, then maybe all these people that are complaining about inflation should just be doing the accelerationist thing and saying, let's make it fail as quickly as possible so we can get to the gold standard.
Can we get to the gold standard without failing to the extreme? I mean, I would rather have that. Yeah, but maybe we like, uh—
I don't have that much gold to get through my life, Owen. Don't freak me out.
Get gold before it turns extreme, you guys.
Yikes. I know, is everyone getting a bar?
Yeah, you're wondering, will Bill—
William DeBane, I wonder if he's in Fort Knox, like Yeah, he films all his commercials there. Yikes!
I don't know. Is he alive? He's alive, you guys.
RIP if you're not. No, I think he is. All right, I'm gonna call you out, Mindy. My friend Mindy. All right, I'll give her credit. This is like five, six, seven, eight years ago. She's like, "He's kind of hot." I'm like, "Stop it!" Okay, so anyway, shout out.
And she bought lots of gold.
Yeah, because of him. Yep.
Good for her.
She's a woman. Okay, so. Owen's going to find out for us and report back to us about the gold, right? Okay.
You asked the question. I mean, I do think the symbolic thing is probably the answer. And I think it's essentially that we're kind of pretending it backs the currency even though it doesn't. I think that's really the answer is like we, we went off the gold standard, but we don't really want people to think we went off the gold standard in terms of not having anything backing our money. And so we just have this hoard of gold As like this symbolic thing to be like, well, we still have all the gold we used to have, so nothing changed. And that, as far as I know, it's just meant to sit there.
Yeah. Oh, well, that's all it's ever done. I don't know. All right. So Owen, good. I can't wait for your report on Friday. Um, so it allegedly, it's still there. Who would, who did we just play recently that said yes, they saw the gold? Um, Was it Burchett? I think it was Tim Burchett.
Bessent.
Oh, Bessent. Bessent said, oh, his people went down and said it's there.
And I said, hmm, they counted all 147 million ounces.
They lifted each bar. None of them were cardboard spray painted. Yeah.
So do you see that none of them give you a picture of it, of the gold? Like even a little tiny picture?
Oh, all right. Sure. All right. So I'm pivoting. Pivot.
It's all in the White House now is what the Democrats would say.
It's on the statute.
All right, so there is a big to-do. So when Trump left Turkey, when he left the NATO summit, apparently— I'll play the clip— but apparently he was going to get on his new Qatari Air Force One, and I believe it was Israel said, oh, there's a credible threat from Iran to take down your plane. In which Secret Service decided we need to not have him on this plane. So he boarded the plane, waved to everybody, and then shuffled off out a back door in a catering cart and went to the old Air Force One, leaving some people in the administration and journalists on the Qatari Air Force One. And I'll play the clip so we can sum it up from here.
It's a story that has captured the world attention this week. a threat by the Iranian regime on President Trump's life in Turkey last month. The Wall Street Journal reports it was actually Israeli intelligence that tipped off the administration to a specific danger. The report explains the sourcing on this information, saying the U.S. official said Israel briefed the Trump administration on the intelligence, which included a threat to use shoulder-to-air missiles to target Air Force One. Ultimately, the president was reportedly moved from Air Force One to another plane Mr.
President, can you tell us about your ride on the airport catering truck in Turkey? Why did you need to do that? Well, it's only up to Secret Service. I just follow what they'd like to do. So I go by Secret Service and the military. They wanted me to go on a different flight, a different plane, equal safety, but I wanted to go on the catering truck. But they wanted me to do it, so I do it. I do what they say.
The story comes as indirect negotiations continue with Iran aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz. And the head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said Tuesday the strait would not reopen until the United States meets all Iranian conditions. This does include unfreezing assets, giving compensation, and ending the war. Yesterday, U.S. forces disabled a Panama-flagged vessel That ignored warnings in the Gulf of Oman about the ongoing U.S. naval blockade. CENTCOM said an MH-60 Navy helicopter fired two Hellfire missiles into the ship's engine room. Still, the Iranians remain defiant as diplomatic efforts are dragging on.
No one thought that Iran could resist in this way against America, with the Israeli regime accompanying it and the support of many other countries, including all Western countries and. some other countries that we all know and not bow its head and ultimately force the enemy to ask for negotiations.
Officials in Israel tell Fox News they are preparing a variety of contingency plans for the uncertain days ahead.
Okay, so I mean, what do you— you know, you got to protect the president at all costs, and he has to do what his security team tells him to do. And I agree with everyone who is annoyed that this story was reported. It should not have been reported. You know, why, why are we like this? I mean, would they do this if it was Obama? I don't think so. So, Marcella, what do you think about—
So it's like, make a list of the people that you want to put on your decoy plane and on your actual uh, other saved, uh, plane. And that would be funny to make a list of your life. But it's— they, they went crazy, the, the mainstream media, uh, CNN, MSNBC. Oh my gosh, they were like, he put— he let the journalists go on Air Force One and like pretended not to be there, and that could have been dangerous for them. But you know what's interesting is that somebody posted this. I didn't remember this That in 2000, um, Bill Clinton had to do something similar where he had to do a decoy plane and his regular plane, and the news didn't bat an eye. It's like it just let that go, you know?
Yeah, so, and you should, because you shouldn't be showing like what we do in a situation, but these people don't care.
So the, the question is, who leaked it? Um, who in the Secret Service most likely leaked it, and, um, or some— I mean, not everybody knew, so that, that would be interesting to find out.
Yeah. Owen, your thoughts on this story?
Well, I agree with both of you. I think it shouldn't have been leaked. I think it shouldn't have been reported on. And I think that whole story that we just looked at, even though it was Fox News, it seemed like anti-Trump propaganda to me. It's like, here's, here's how to get him killed next time.
Yeah.
In case You want to. And by the way, Iran isn't giving up, and, you know, all this stuff's dragging on. And it was just like an anti-Trump story. Like, it's like, let's, let's see if we can get him actually assassinated soon and look at how much he's failing. Like, that was kind of the tone of the story. And so it just seemed like anti-Trump propaganda.
Yeah. And like, nobody would have been talking about it if they didn't leak it. It would have just been like a non-story. But instead, it's, you know, the journalists feel like, oh, it's an attack against us. It's like, no, it was an apparent potential attack against the President of the United States/free world. So, you know, whatever.
I'd rather see the story about all the rhetoric from the Democrats on the radical left that have caused so many people to try and assassinate Trump.
That's right.
And start asking them, why are you doing this?
Yes, fully agree. All right. So to the person who wants me to stop playing news clips, buckle up, there's more coming. Okay, so Okay, so this is— oh, so we had that election last night in Wisconsin with that crazy-eyed chick, Hong, and it's constant shenanigans. So anyway, here's a recap. So she almost won and they tried to get away with some stuff. So I'm going to play this and Owen, I'll come to you first. Here we go. Establishment Democrats are probably breathing a sigh of relief. They were afraid that a Hong victory would essentially hand the GOP the keys to the governor's mansion in November. Hong had faced scrutiny over previous social media posts and lacked the endorsements of prominent progressives like Senator Bernie Sanders and AOC. Her narrow loss coming on the heels of a close race in Michigan showing that centrist voters still yield a lot of influence. Especially in swing states. So did you see, Owen, that, um, they all of a sudden were like, wait, we didn't read the, uh— there were like little card readers to like do the votes. They said, oh no, we put the audit votes in, not the actual votes. And then all of a sudden she gained like another like thousands of votes at, you know, midnight last night. I was like, oh my God, are we really doing this again?
It's ridiculous. I, I, I know Scott tells us all the time, like, you know, why do we even have voting machines? And there's no good answer to that. And then you see this over and over again where all these weird things happens with the voting machines and suddenly things get wonky. I, you know, I, I do applaud whoever rigged the election the best to make sure that the far left person didn't win.
Yeah.
And, um, I don't know anything about that Crowley guy, but, um, I guess we'll have to see how that goes. I don't live in Wisconsin, so it's really not my fight, although I certainly would rather have Republican governors, especially in— I mean, I do consider Wisconsin more of a swing state where— but I'm kind of surprised it's even a swing state. It seems to me like the type of place that should be pretty conservative. It's full of people who go hunting and it's very—
Blue collar.
Yeah. I don't really understand how it became a swing state. It must just be all the college kids. I don't know what else it could be other than rigging, because where are all these liberals in Wisconsin coming from?
Yeah, I know. Where are they coming from? That's a good question. Marcella. Oh, so they're called— I'm sorry, you guys. What are they called? Thumb drives? Yeah, thumb drives. What did you see about this, Marcella?
I'm imagining there's a lot of unions. In, um, or a lot of unions in Wisconsin. So that would give you the Democrats, the old Democrats. But, um, it was close. She almost won.
It was very close.
Um, but he, he beat her. I don't know, um, if they'll find some votes somewhere, you know. So she has to take a note in Los Angeles or California how to do this. Next time. But, um, I'm glad that she didn't win.
So, but, uh, I mean, I, you know, I, on one hand, I, I know the way that story was framed, they were saying like, you know, oh, it would've handed the Republicans the governor. So they're kind of calling it a win for Democrats. But I, you know, I'd rather have, um, a more reasonable Democrat than that. And you really don't know, like, you know, like we've been saying, you don't know what's gonna happen in the general election. So I'd, I'd rather head it off at the pass now. And get rid of these people and hopefully steer Democrats to becoming more of a reasonable party. I mean, I think there was another story recently— maybe we covered it yesterday or the day before— but where somebody was saying they were leaving the Democrat Party because they're just like, I can't be part of this anymore. Like, if this is the direction of the party, then I'm a Republican now. And, um, so they're starting to have at least a couple of defections because of this. And Um, so I'd rather, I'd rather have a more reasonable opponent on the other side than what we're seeing with people like Hong.
Especially with all the cheating. If they're going to cheat their way in, like, let's at least cheat in a moderate— ugh, my God, it's like such a joke. Um, okay, so 2 more clips, um, I want to get to. One is following up from what we were talking about with the vaccine and pregnancies. This was on Laura Ingraham last night. I feel like there are going to be A lot of lawsuits coming. This clip is— this, you guys, I told you before, like, when I, when I prep for the show and I'm looking at things, I am so infuriated by the time I'm ready to go. And it's a miracle, like, as soon as we start, I'm like happy to see Owen and Marcella. I'm happy to see you guys in the chat because I have to like calm down after looking at this stuff. But hold on to your seat with this one. Vaccinated. While you're breastfeeding?
It absolutely is safe to get vaccinated. Get vaccinated while you're thinking about having a baby, before you're thinking about having a baby, while you're pregnant with your baby, or after you've delivered your baby. There is no bad time.
It is recommended pregnant women get vaccinated. Pregnant women should get vaccinated.
That's hilarious. It's like she's almost laughing through that. No hesitation.
None.
No ambiguity.
Pregnant?
Get the shot. Breastfeeding? Get the shot. Thinking about having a baby? Get the shot. But behind closed doors, Anthony Fauci and former CDC Director Rochelle Walensky were discussing the risks, the uncertainties the public wasn't even hearing about. So newly released texts from January 2021 show Fauci discussing that concern with Walensky and former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy. Fauci wrote, since many people have significant cytokine storm and fever after the second dose. This theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the first trimester. Murthy responded saying he was hearing the concern about mRNA causing mutations in the developing fetus. And now women who have lived through that period want answers. Case in point, Meghan McCain, who says she suffered a miscarriage during COVID is calling for Fauci to be jailed. Here to discuss is Dr. Scott Atlas, former special advisor to President Trump, Former member of the Trump COVID task force, Dr. Atlas. You know you were on this show frequently before you were working for the Trump administration and during. But that statement from Walensky and Fauci, given their discussion in text messages, tells you what?
Well, it just shows the the arrogance of. Power. For one thing, he had people controlling the narrative instead of persuading with facts. They wanted to use fear of COVID instead of being transparent. I mean, Laura, this really sort of in a big picture violates the most fundamental part of medicine and medical care in an ethical society, and that is informed consent. We're supposed to be a free society. We're supposed to hear the information, be persuaded And then, by the way, make a choice on what we want to do, if we want to inject drugs into our bodies or our children's bodies. It is absolutely beyond me why anyone would think it's acceptable to have mandated injections of drugs into your body. But to have public health officials discussing uncertainty and then pretend like there was no uncertainty to the public is really beyond the pale. I don't know how to describe it.
Yeah, well, weeks after texting those concerns, Dr. Fauci said this to the American people.
Since the EUA and under the EUA, approximately 20,000 pregnant women have been vaccinated with no red flags, as we say, and this is being monitored by the CDC and the FDA.
Well, is, is that accurate? No red flags?
None?
I mean, anecdotally, I've heard of people having all sorts of problems, even people who, you know, were married, they were trying to get pregnant, urged to get the shot for work or something else, and inexplicable problems with fertility.
Sure. Well, Laura, let's put it this way. I think everybody who's pregnant and every man whose wife is pregnant is concerned about when the wife even has a glass of wine or smokes one cigarette or is even in a room with other people smoking cigarettes. That is the ultimate caution there. There is nothing greater than your care for your unborn child when you're pregnant. This kind of sort of flip attitude— by the way, most of these women that are pregnant, by definition, are younger and generally healthy. They had a minuscule risk from COVID to begin with. The whole thing is absurd. I want to point out another failure that people don't talk about. That is your own personal medical care, your doctor. The doctors— and this is very common— they push CDC recommendations. They coerce their patients with pressure to get vaccinated. They weren't there with the data. They're supposed to be advocates for their patient and advocates again for free choice, informed consent. And it was quite the opposite, I think, as most people would agree. The next time we have something like this, I advise people all the time, ask your doctor, what's the data behind the recommendation?
Well, Dr. Atlas, I can't tell you how many doctors I fired because they tried to push me into things like that. Dr. Atlas, thank you very much.
So it's hard, you know, it's hard to listen to. And I was watching everybody in the chat. The things that you guys all know happened to the fetuses, and it's awful. It's just awful. And again, I just say we don't care about children in this country. And, um, I'm gonna come to you first, Marcella, since we're chicks. So what do you, uh— I mean, I, I, it's like, I don't know what you could even say, but jail is definitely not good enough.
We can all have babies, Erica.
Oh, right, right. Owen's pregnant right now.
Um, I actually did a paper on male pregnancy in junior high.
Oh, wow. You were beyond the times.
It is possible. Owen, it has been for 30 or 40 years.
Who knew? Um, well, um, the thing is, you know, looking at it from above, like, at the whole situation, part of me, a big part of me thinks that this, this whole COVID situation was one, control, power, but also depopulation.
I do too.
Because it's just like, let's— like, like Dr. Atlas said, these women are obviously younger, and so they don't really have this fear of of getting COVID, or if they do get it, surviving it, you know. So it's like, it made no sense. So the only thing you can think about is this is what this— the design is. It was— the system was designed to do this, and the main thing was to depopulate and cause these issues. But, hmm.
Hmm.
Yeah, I, I personally think we should not get obsessed about Fauci's justice, kind of like Dr. Drew asked us to. I think we should jail all the people, not just Fauci.
I agree.
To seek justice. Um, Nuremberg, uh, the trials in Nuremberg. Yeah, no, it's, it's got to be Somebody's, you know, they have to face, regardless of whether they go to prison or not, they have to face justice.
Yeah.
They have to answer for this. You know, sometimes the punishment is the process, and they do need to answer for all these questions. Now, I know that there's like 3 states that are seeking investigations and Um, you mentioned— the report mentioned Meghan McCain and how she lost her baby. Like, all of this needs to be looked into, and they need to pay for all of this. They do have immunity, as, uh, but their immunity, uh, beyond the pardon— um, government officials have immunity, but beyond— but immunity doesn't say, hey, you can kill people. Like it goes up to a certain level. So what did they know? When did they know it? How come they didn't say anything? Question them.
Mm-hmm. Owen, Owen. Well, men can. So men can get pregnant, Owen, or they can't? How'd your paper go?
Well, it's a bit of a diversion from this story, but I the paper was basically that I think they had done something with baboons where they tried it and and it worked. They were able they were able to do it. Like they they. Essentially, you implant the embryo in the abdominal cavity somewhere, and it does implant, and it can get all the blood and, you know, starts growing. And then they pump the male baboon full of estrogen and all the other pregnancy hormones, so basically made it look like a woman to the baby. And then they did a C-section at the end. And so that would be the procedure.
Oh, poor thing.
I don't know any man would want to go through that, but—
Well, he was a baboon, man. He didn't have a choice, poor thing.
Anyway, but I know in terms of this, I mean, I, I guess I wanted to address the persuasion angle of this. I mean, I agree with all you said that everyone should be held responsible, but, um, like, to me, this is an area that I may be the right one to push on because I— you like put yourself in the shoes of a woman who's trying to have a baby and, you know, leave out the abortion people like that want to kill all the babies, but Like, if you're trying to have a baby, that's like your sole focus, right? Like, all you want most in the world is to have that baby. And you're trying and you're trying and you're doing everything and you're trying to do everything right. You're looking at— you're asking your doctor all sorts of questions that you never asked before. You're reading books like, you know, What to Expect When You're Expecting was the one that was popular when we were going through this. And like, you're focusing your whole life around this.
Yeah.
To have a miscarriage is like the worst thing.
Yeah, it's a death. It's a death of your baby, and people don't take it seriously enough.
And it happens a lot. I mean, you know, my mom had one, and, uh, I know other friends of mine that have gone through it, and it's, it's a tragedy. And a lot of them do think of it as like, I had a child and they died.
Yeah.
And for these doctors to treat this so cavalierly. Like, we're not— we're just not going to tell anybody about all this.
Yeah.
You know, we have these concerns, but we're going to pretend it's all fine. And that— it's a blatant lie. I mean, every other drug and procedure and stuff, they never recommend it. Like, they, they basically tell pregnant women, you can't do any of that because we don't have any science to say that it's safe. And the reason they don't have any science to say it's safe is because they don't want to test it, because they, they know that even one person who had their baby die in a test is just not acceptable, right?
Right.
You can't even fund a study because they get sued to oblivion if it went wrong. And, um, so they stay away from all that for liability reasons because they know they'd get sued out of business, whoever it was. And, um, the, the criminal part of this is that this gene therapy product This mRNA new gene therapy thing, they decided to pretend it's a vaccine. And then because it's a vaccine, now it gets blanket immunity from lawsuits. So now they can just say whatever they want and it doesn't really matter and they can't be sued. And it, it's this travesty of our judicial process because they're basically twisting all these things to just take advantage of it. And I think this, from a persuasion standpoint, might be the place where you can just get people to really connect with it and say, You know, imagine, imagine if that was you. Imagine if you were having a baby and they died because of this, because of Rachel Walensky and because of Fauci and because of these people that were covering up their own concerns. And just even just the fact that they didn't know, because you saw those clips, it's like they're just saying, oh yeah, it's, you know, it's all fine.
And the whole thing too, they're— when those women are of a younger age, they're healthy, you know, COVID probably wouldn't have been a huge problem for them. You know, like, why don't we ever err on the side of caution and just say, like, you know what, don't, don't do that because it is too new and we don't know. But that's not what is happening in this country. And it's really sad. And I think we've got to put the priority back on children, family, having a family, protecting it. I know we're out of time, guys. So, you know, It's going to be interesting to see what happens. I feel so bad for people that are, you know, like a Meghan McCain, anybody who had this issue, or maybe something's wrong with the baby now, which I know of, or you lost a baby, or you're infertile now. Maybe you weren't infertile before, so who knows. It's really, um, it's a crime against humanity. So, all right, anyway, you guys, today I will play an Akira song as part of our Test. So people said, "What's this test?" So Spotify is not happy about something happening on the channel, so they're dinging the account, and I'm not sure if it's the Akira songs or if it's music coming from the clips. So we didn't play Akira for a few days. We're going to try one today. We'll see how it goes. But we miss our Akira. So listen, guys, let's thank you, Marcela and Owen, for a great show today. I appreciate you guys. Um, and to everyone in the chat, we are so happy to be here with you guys every day. We will be back tomorrow, and I'm saying I hope, but I hope we're here tomorrow with Brian Romley. And I'm saying Romley, you guys, because that's the way Brian says his last name. So I'm gonna go with Brian. He says Romley. Uh, so hopefully Brian Romley will be here tomorrow with us, and it's been too long since we've seen him, so that'll be great. Um, all right, so as always, let's Give a special thanks to Scott and Shelley for allowing this show to continue, and let's have a very special closing sip to our beloved Scott Adams. Scott, your biography is coming along. Your friends and your community still here together. We love you and miss you so much. And as always, we want to say be useful and to Scott, to Scott.
Just go ahead.
The recording for everyone that cannot join us today.
All right, Owen, if you have to jet, we get it.
And, um, watch the eclipse, you guys. Watch the eclipse at 1:15 PM Eastern, 10:15 PM on nasa.gov. It's gonna go live. We can't see it. It's in, um, Europe and Iceland, I talked to my friends over there and they actually can view it. A lot of people went and paid so much money to go there to view it from America, but it's raining, so we might not.
That sucks.
Spain gets to view it, hopefully.
All right, so let's try how to program reality. Okay, so we can all program our reality. By Akira, and let's hope Spotify doesn't ding us. Okay, let's do it.
Let me show you my path towards figuring out. The user interface. It's important that you know how I got there so that you could have some trust that there's something to it.
Something to it.
When I was a kid, I was influenced, as was my mother, by the book The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. This suggested that you could somehow change your life, or maybe you were changing reality, if you could simply think positively. Think positively. Think positively. Think positively. So this was my first introduction to the concept that maybe reality was not fixed and something that you were a victim of, but rather you could do something. There was some mechanism, some technique. Some tools you could use to give some control over your environment and your life, as opposed to having it control you. And that was my first thought, that reality could be programmable in at least some simple sense. But of course, I embarked on a lifetime of exploration. To find out if I could find out more about how to program reality. Think positively. Think positively. Think positively. How to program reality. Think positively. Think positively. Think positive led me to learn meditation. I became a trained hypnotist. Of course, mushrooms let you see the world in a completely Different reality. And all of these things, from studying all the different religions to doing affirmations, which is really just visualizing what you want and writing it down every day— visualizing what you want, writing it down every day— and then learning persuasion, these all had the same cumulative effect of teaching me that reality was indeed far more subjective than you're led to believe. And when I say reality is subjective, I don't mean that there isn't some base reality that's real. What I mean is that we don't have access to it. In other words, you just take religion. 2 people with completely different religions can go into a store, they can shop, they can get married, have children. They don't really need to reconcile. One thinks there's an afterlife, one thinks there's reincarnation, one thinks there's nothing, and yet we, we all survive and thrive and reproduce. There's nothing to suggest that our brains are the kind of brains that can understand reality.
Reality.
Instead, all of the evidence suggests that we can put filters, options, And the thing that we deal with is a filter. We're not dealing with the underlying reality, but our filter on it is the thing that's real to us. And you can change those filters, so that's the important part. And you can change them fairly easily. And if you find a filter that predicts better and makes you happier, well, that's the better filter, even if it isn't a better reality. I think that's a very important point. Approximation of reality. What matters is you're happy. What matters is you're getting what you need out of life. Think positively. Think positively. Think positively. How to program reality. Think positively. Think positively. Think positively. Program reality. You can change those filters. Change those filters. Change those filters, how to program reality. Think positively. Think positively. Think positively. So once you accept that there's a subjective reality, You're starting to get ready to accept the user interface for that reality.
Oh, straight into my veins with that jam. I love it so much. I sound like a DJ all of a sudden. Straight into my veins, coming at you from WCWSA. From the Jersey Shores, live from Coffee with Scott Adams. Oh my gosh, you guys! Think Scott Adams School. That should do it. Good morning. Yes, you guys. All right. So thank you so much, you guys, for being here today. We appreciate you so much. Marcela and I are gonna go kick some ass today out in the world, right, Marcela?
Yeah. Pray for me. I have to ask the judge. For more time on a, on a, on a certain thing, and hopefully I'm not held in contempt.
Get your persuasion filter on, Marcella.
Oh, it's so hard. It is so hard.
