The Scott Adams School - 09/28/26 Monday Madness With The HOME TEAM

Scott Adams hosts a live stream with co-hosts Erica, Owen, and Marcella covering school curricula they call "woke indoctrination," AI alignment concerns after an Obama clip on agentic AI, and a suspected bomb plot near RAF Fairford linked to potential Iranian involvement.

Canadian. I, I think they're, they're really pretty. I'm not saying that Canadian geese aren't pretty, but they are different kinds of geese. Yes. Backstage with the home team. Okay, we should be live. Let's see. Good morning, friends. Happy Monday.
Good morning, everyone.
Oops. Here we go.
All right, you guys, we were talking about these geese. I'm just gonna— I'm not gonna play all of this, but while everybody comes in, look at how this is like a dream. I would love this. All right, you guys, we were talking about these geese.
I'm just gonna—
I'm not gonna play.
Look at—
I want to do this so bad. That is so cool. Oh, that's a Canadian goose, isn't it? Who knows their geese? Aww, that just looks so freeing and cool.
I wonder why they don't just perch on the ultralight.
I don't know.
I'm guessing they're kind of programmed to fly in formation, but—
Yeah.
Because they're— they seem focused, like they seem locked in, like they don't even seem to care that these people are right up on them. You would think they would also fly away from this thing.
Yeah, but they— I don't know, he said that he does something with like orphan geese and like they know who he is. I love it. That just looks so, uh, good to me. Oh, see, since then he has dedicated his life to raising and training orphan geese. Of course I watched this whole thing. Look how pretty those geese are, Marcella. That is a cool goose. Aww, look at his face. Okay, I'm done, but you get it. Oh, this person brought their accordion.
That's a weird thing to bring.
They brought their accordion and some lip gloss. That is a cool goose right there.
The grand piano wouldn't fit.
No.
What would you bring, Owen?
Yeah, Owen would bring his AI agents.
Mm-hmm.
His team.
I'd bring my robot goose. See if I could insert it secretively and have it fly with them.
That's amazing. That's so sweet. Good morning, everybody. Um, listen, I got to get right into a sip of coffee. It is just that kind of a day. And then, uh, we're gonna get into some Monday Madness. Here we go.
And all you need to enjoy it fully is a cup or a mug or a glass, a tank or chalice or stein, a canteen, jug or flask. A vessel of any kind. Fill it with your favorite liquid. I like coffee. Enjoy me now for the unparalleled pleasure, the dopamine hit of the day, the thing that makes everything better. It's called the simultaneous sip, and it happens now.
Go!
Ah, the only thing that could taste better than this is, as I see in the comments. The tears of our enemies. Yes, they are sweeter than the coffee, but only barely.
Frothy tears especially.
Brian Stelter tears.
Brian Stelter's nasty salty tears. Where's Ivermere, Heidi? I always see you say good morning from Ivermere, but I'm like, oh wait, where is Ivermere? I never get to ask you. Good morning. My name is Erica. I'm with Owen and Marcella. You have found yourself at the Scott Adams School. It's Monday. There was so much nonsense over the weekend. Owen had his afterparty. He was talking news. I was reading news, watching news. I am so newsed out. Um, if someone tells me where Ivermere is, let me know. Okay. Or she says it sounds Scottish. Okay. We'll see. Um, Yes, and the accordion comments were amazing. You guys, if you're not on Locals, I highly suggest you join us over there. It is so fun. It's scottadams.locals.com. It's $0.19 a day to subscribe or $70 for the entire year. And they can put pictures in the post there. Everybody's like extra chatty with photos. It's like you really get to know each other. Like, there's usually about 270 people during the live show and And it's nice because everybody's just got their own amazing personality and it's just, it's a good time. So come on over. Oh, it's a beautiful part of British Columbia, Canada. Thank you, Mad Mitch. Great, great to know. Locals.
I'm looking at some pictures of it. It looks beautiful. It looks like it has like mountains and lakes or rivers or something, but it looks beautiful.
I love that. All right, Marcella, how was your weekend?
Good, good. It's too short, but back to work. Always. Well, I worked all weekend, but back to, uh, court hearings and talking to people that are angry at everything.
Oh, well, we'll have more of that here for you too. No, I'm just kidding.
I'm only angry at some things, Marcella.
Some?
Good.
That is good.
You're not, you're not a client or you're not opposing counsel.
Hopefully I never will be.
Aha.
So we had a fun time Friday night on Scott's Locals. We had a Bitcoin, like an understanding what cryptocurrency is or what Bitcoin is and all of that. Jim Wyman led us in that. And it was so funny because at some point I'm like, Jim, it's not basic enough for me. We got to turn this around. So Jim has become Uncle Jim, and I said, talk to me like I'm your 12-year-old niece because I don't understand what you're saying. And then of course Andy Wang made a left turn with that. Um, but anyway, so we had a lot of fun learning. Um, it was really like a part 1. Owen's gonna help us with that. Uh, BJ's gonna help us with it. So it's an ongoing thing, and we'll just call it extra credit. And, uh, it was, it was a good time.
I noticed you were 5 for a minute. You said, talk to me like I'm 5, and then you were 12, and then you were 18. It was like all over the place.
I know, because Andy's comment. So I'm like, I better make myself of age at this point. I was like, you know, I know who I'm talking to here. But thank you, Jim Wyman. And he gave us some homework. I posted it on X. It's a video and anyone can watch it. So if you guys want to jot this down, her name is Lynne, L-Y-Nne Alden. And that's her YouTube channel, Lynne Alden. And the video is How Money Works and Why Is It Broken? So So that's our homework assignment if anybody wants to join us with that.
So you think you understand what Bitcoin is yet?
Um, you know what? No, I have like, I have like a better understanding, but I have 1,000 more questions after listening to the All In pod. And I'm just like, oh, now what? So I do have a better understanding. Marcela was very helpful in the chat. Um, Yeah, no, we have, we have work to do, but it's a start.
All right.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there during the, the session. I was out at a concert with my wife that I had forgotten about, but I did watch it.
It was good.
Oh, what concert?
We saw Paula Cole. She's the one that sang like that, all the Where Have All the Cowboys Gone and a number of other famous songs. But yeah, it was good.
Yeah, is it good?
Yeah, and we were pretty close up. It was kind of a small theater and we were like, I don't know, maybe 10 rows back.
Nice. Well, good for you, Owen. Marcel, I'm glad you had a good weekend. Um, I was here in the storms of the nor'easter and the flooding and, um, I don't know, spontaneously cleaned out my basement and started throwing out things. Oh, Marcela got her calendar! I love it.
I did. I got oh, I got my calendar too. Where's the camera?
And you got your you have your weapon, your box weapon.
Isn't that box solid, Marcella?
Yeah, this too.
It's like yeah, it's really good. I love everybody posting their Dilbert calendar pictures. It's so good. So you guys, I wanted to do an update. Remember our friend King Randall? You know he's so awesome and. This just kind of pissed me off, but he's so amazing. And remember, we were— when he was on, if you saw that episode, um, we highlighted at the end, I said, I love how you have like— there's like, uh, 2 brothers that are the only— not— I don't know if they're the only white kids in the class. I think there might be a couple other, but you know, he has majority Black children. It's the children from his community. And you know, it's so amazing. how this racism shit works, you know? So listen, listen to King Randall here. I love this guy.
I'm really starting to get annoyed at people asking me why do I have white boys in the program, or, or why do I accept white children, and a lot of them just saying stupid stuff. And for me, you know, they're just kids. They need guidance, they need structure, they need people pouring into them too. And so I'm trying to figure out what exactly folks want me to do. Like, are you wanting me to say, oh nah, you the wrong color, so I'm not gonna help you? Or or we just gonna ignore their applications or whatever like that. And I just refuse to look at children through a racial lens. Like some of y'all message me saying I'm diluting the program and white children have enough resources and that I shouldn't accept them. But you're talking about theories and categories and all this stuff, and I'm dealing with actual children like standing in front of me. I know their families. I know what the boys need. I know where they're growing. I know where they're in my classroom. When they're in my classroom, they are my boys. So they gonna learn how to call 911. They're gonna learn how to change a tire. They're gonna learn consent, respect, discipline. Plan responsibility and how to treat people too, and they gonna get corrected just like everybody else. But I'm gonna tell y'all something, because a few years ago I used to be at a point where I looked at everything through race. There were things I only wanted to do for Black kids, and there were attitudes I had toward white folks that I don't carry anymore. Growing up required me to challenge some of my own thinking. That don't mean I'm pretending racial disparities don't exist. It means I've decided that when a child is standing in front of me needing guidance, I'm not going to continue making his skin color the reason I refuse to give him any guidance. My mission is to help raise capable young people, white, Black, or indifferent. If you're looking for me to apologize because a white child got help too, you're going to be waiting a long time. These are children and I'm going to make sure they learn together.
Amen. I love him. So let's not forget about King Randall, you guys. Maybe visit his Twitter page today and just say hey to him. Just say, hey, I saw a clip of you at the Scott Adams School this morning. Keep doing what you're doing. You're amazing. Encourage him because what he's doing takes so much work. And yeah, he's got, he's got to field all sorts of BS. And so let's just, you know, be a team of people encouraging him and, and thanking him. Um, you know, Owen, doesn't that just piss you off that like—
I think it just, it just reminds me, like, I, I mean, like, in the generation that I grew up in, I think that was sort of the norm. It was just like, that's how we were taught to think, is that You know, yes, there are different skin colors, but we don't treat people differently because of that. And back in the, you know, the '80s when I was in high school and '90s when I was in college, like, it— you didn't, you didn't see people through that racial lens. Like you said, you didn't like say, oh, I'm going to treat this person differently because they're not part of my tribe or something like that. It's just so silly. And I know things have changed since then. And probably I think when Obama was in office was one of seemed to ramp up a lot and they brought back all the, let's treat people differently because of the color of their skin. And it just seems so backwards because it's the people that are complaining about the racism that seem to be bringing back the racism. And it's like, what are you doing? I don't understand.
Yep, 100%. I just want to shout out A Really Bad Cat. That's one of our beloveds. Sent $10,000 to his school. That's amazing. Thank you for doing that. Um, Marcella?
I, I just wish he would start like an online school because he would reach a lot more kids around the world. Like, um, I think even adults need his class, like how to do— how to change a tire, how to do— how to, you know, how to do just about everything. It's like they— finance, they don't teach you at school. Um, Just different things. I wish like he would do, um, kind of like Khan Academy, um, where they have online way of going on it and you can just, you know, view it. It's not the same obviously as the in-person, but it would get— it would reach so many more kids.
And maybe we could all— like, not we all, I mean, we can't all, but maybe there's anybody listening right now Imagine if there was one person on each one of these platforms right now, um, that just said, you know what, I'm gonna start a YouTube channel and I'm gonna invite people that I know first in the community to invite people that they know could use this help. And you just start doing online classes like this, and they could be live. You could do it on, on Rumble, um, and just start teaching, like he said, like even just basic things like consent.
Yeah.
Etiquette, you know, how to be just a decent person, manners. I mean, let's go. I, I love that.
And Marcela, the 9 is in the lower right of the keypad and the 1 is up at the top. So if you need to—
No, but you know what, you know what's helpful is that he's a man and a lot of these kids lack a dad. Yeah. And I think that's important too. I mean, there's a lot of women teachers, but I, I overall, I think it's really important for them to have that experience, even a little girl or a little boy. way to have to hear it from, from a man, um, and to hear like being taught certain things that they're not used to seeing in their own lives.
So yeah.
I agree. I mean, and I was thinking the same thing about just like a lot of people don't know some of those things. Like, you know, these kids are probably going to have an advantage over a lot of their peers regardless of what color their skin is. Like, they're just going to have these life skills that a lot of people are just never taught. A lot of parents never teach them anymore. Like, you know, my kids and other kids, like, they might not have all those skills because A lot of parents, because they're dual income and they're all busy all the time, they don't spend as much time with their kids. And, I don't think anyone really— parenting doesn't come with an instruction manual. So, unless you grew up in a culture or with your parents teaching you all these things, you might not even realize, oh, I'm supposed to be teaching my kid how to change a tire, or I'm supposed to be teaching him how to cook, or whatever. And so, I think it's important to have some of these basic life skills. And, I personally think a lot more of that probably should be part of our schools.
Yeah.
Because it would prepare people for their lives a lot better than some of the classes that they're taking now.
Well, Owen, you set me up perfectly for my next clip because my opinion is you're supposed to be teaching your kids everything. Everything. Like, there shouldn't even— like, even when they're like having downtime, playtime, you're just interacting with them time, like, everything should be a lesson because the schools For the most part seem like they're for shit now. And many of you probably saw this woman, but this is a mom from North Carolina addressing the school board, I guess it is. And she just went off script and was like, no, I need to rant. And so think about what she's saying and what's happening in the schools. And honestly, I'm not saying anyone listening isn't a good parent. I'm saying, what more should you, can you be doing? And even use resources like family members that can help you teach kids things. Like, hey, can you— like somebody wrote in the chat here, teach them how to address an envelope properly, like how to mail something. I mean, it's like literally that, that, you know, nuance of things kids need to learn. But listen to this. I love this woman. I don't know her name.
Oh, this is good.
God bless this mother.
Watch this.
Hello everyone. Um, I've been coming here for 5 years now and I was going to talk to you about some practical things that I thought you could change about 3210, but I've changed my mind. I've been really confused over the last 5 years as to why we spend 45 minutes to an hour of every public meeting talking about how great everyone is and how great everything is in the schools. And now I figured it out. I figured it out because all these people came here to defend you all from hurtful words. This is obnoxious. Let me just say, there is one goal for the educational system. It should be to prepare children to enter careers, to be productive members of society. It is not a counseling session. It is not a self-help area. It is not somewhere to find yourself. And we should not be led by the children, for goodness' sake. The children are called dependents for a reason. They depend on us who have fully developed brains. You cannot feel your way through life. The issues that we are talking about, we are bringing you statistics. We are talking about scholastics. We are talking about funding. We are talking about busing. We are talking about trying to figure out how to make our children be as successful as possible. And I am sure that that is your goal. And what we have been called tonight is what they're claiming that we're saying to children. We're having an adult conversation. There are not children in this room. We aren't going into the schools and calling them names. They call us Marxists and hateful and bigots and everything else under the sun. Well, let me tell you, less than 5% of the entire population of North Carolina identifies as LGBTQ. You guys all claim you want democracy. Well, you know what democracy is? It's the majority plus one. It's 50 plus one. You know what? More than 50% of the people in this state claim that they believe in God, Almighty God, who made us male and female, God who made marriage between a man and a woman, God who said that we must protect our children. The fact that we can stand up here and we know we can brag about all of the wonderful graduations, but we know, we know the statistics. 50% of children did not pass their end-of-grade tests. What are we celebrating? We have children coming up here telling us how horrible the mental health Why? Most of us went to public school and all of our, all of our peers are not in mental health crises. We have to ask ourselves, what are we doing to our children? I'm going to say we are discussing things with them that they are not emotionally, intellectually, and morally able to handle. That is what is causing the anxiety. That is what is causing the depression. That is what is causing the confusion. We need our children to be able to be children, to be able to be innocent, to be able to enjoy childhood and not know all of the drama and all of the difficulties in adult life. That is what we want. We want our children to be able to read and write and to think for themselves. And we demand that the children who fear God are protected in your schools.
Yes, Beverly, I too need a cigarette after that. That was Amazing. Oh my God, that should be played to every stupid school board that there is. And I love— like, I love her thing about democracy is, you know, 50 plus 1, and, you know, less than 5% is LGBTQ, yet we bend over backwards and confuse the shit out of kids by throwing this stuff in their faces. Like, what are we doing? So, Marcella, I mean, listen. As 2 resident badass chicks over here, I was like, lady, let me high-five you so hard. Did you love her? Did you hate her? I know Marcella does that little contrarian thing, so I'm nervous with where you're going.
I, I didn't love her, but I didn't hate her either, because I think the main thing about school, um, in America is there's no focus on education. It's focused on everything else but education.
Yep.
Um, I don't want it to be focused on all the things that she said and all the things that they want. I would like it to be, hey, how about math? How about biology? How about this? How about that? But there's all this nuance, this political onset of everything that is being done either on one side or the other. Kids aren't— you're supposed to teach Educate them. And I don't think that's being done. And that hasn't been done since I was in school because when I, you know, and I don't want to say El Salvador is different, but when I was in El Salvador in school, we didn't have any of that. So when I came to school in America, I was just shocked that like everything else was important except education.
Oh, when you came here, you felt that?
Yeah, because in in in El Salvador, at least the school I went to was a private school, obviously different than public. But sports weren't a thing. You weren't the thing that was needed is you needed to read a billion times a day. You needed to know calculus before high school. You needed to do physics. You needed to you needed to be the best you could be, and it was in regards to education. So then so the most the more that you knew, the more that you were. thought of as top. The top weren't like the most popular people. There was no such thing.
Right.
It was about intelligence. And so when I came to public school in California, the top thing was who, who's cheerleader, who is in high school, who's in football, who's this, who's in that. And I understand that people are like, you know, that gives them scholarships and things like that, and there's more— you're more rounded in America, um, than you are in, say, a country like China or El Salvador or Germany or something like that. You're a more rounded individual. But even then, within sports and all that, you should have education be a top priority.
I, I agree. Yeah. Oh, sorry. So Owen, as our resident dad, uh, how do you feel about this woman? I mean, I love her. I can't get enough of her personally.
Yeah, no, I mean, I, I think she was spot on, and it really sounds to me like you agreed with a lot of what she was saying, Marcel, even if you didn't love her. But I think it's, um, you know, I, I totally agree that we need to be focusing on education, and our system frankly has been probably broken for a long time. You know, when I grew up, I certainly noticed the culture, at least within the peer group, like the students, was like, you know, the, the tall poppy thing where it's like you're gonna, you're gonna if someone's a smart kid, they're kind of an outcast. They're thought of as a nerd or a geek, or, you know, they'd be made fun of. And I think a lot of that is just people were feeling inferior. You know, they were saying, oh, well, I'm not getting as good grades as this person, so I'm gonna find another way to cut them down. And then, you know, again, you have all the cool kids and the cliques and the stuff like that going on. But it did kind of surprise me where it's like, okay, at least at that point, I felt like the teachers were trying to teach me the subjects. And they wanted us to do well on the tests and do our homework and do all the things. But within the the student group, it certainly seemed like it was kind of almost the opposite of that, where it's like they don't want they don't want you to make them look bad by doing better than them on a test or something. And now it seems like even the teachers don't even care about that. They they've been turned into this indoctrination team where they're trying to do social change in the schools, and that seems to be their top priority. And it's kind of like the whole teachers union turned them into a political political activist organization instead of teachers. And I, I— so it just seems like it's gone totally the wrong direction. And I really do hope we can get back to just teaching the subjects and teaching the basic skills that people need. And again, if, if you have extra time to do indoctrination, replace that with how to write a check or, you know, how to change a tire or whatever other skill might be useful to somebody, uh, rather than teaching what they should think about politics or what someone's doing with their genitals.
Yeah.
The unions.
It's what?
It's the unions.
Oh yeah, it's absolutely— the unions have to go for sure. Um, maybe we'll get Corey DeAngelis to come back on, and, um, I hope he knows who this woman is because she should be running around everywhere with him and be like, hey lady, say your thing. Um, So I wanted to— I do want you guys to have some news, but I don't know if I can pass up this clip at this point talking about woke and indoctrination. Nope, I think I got to do it. I got to do it. Okay, I was going to try to pass it, you guys. I'm not going to play the whole thing because you'll probably end your life if I did that. But let's do like a minute or so. But I want you to see, this is what happens when you Just bend the knee to every little issue. Like noises scare me. Clapping's rude. Don't stand up. Don't talk. Don't sit down. You know, don't address me. Don't use my gender. Da da da da da. And when you put all these people together, just bear with me. And Sean Corey, I don't want to hear from you. You're going to watch this for a minute. Okay, ready? Watch. And then, and then let me consult the people who are counting.
So everyone who has not.
counter, take a seat. Take a seat. Everyone, everyone on the walls, take a seat so that we can count. When there's so many people moving around, it's very difficult to count.
Quick point of privilege, quick point of personal privilege. Guys, first of all, James Jackson, Sacramento, he/him. I just want to say, can we please keep the chatter to a minimum? I'm one of the people who's very, very prone to sensory overload. There's a lot of whispering and chatter going on. It's making it very difficult for me to focus. Please, can we just— I know it's— we're all fresh and ready to go, but can we please just keep the chatter to a minimum? It's affecting my ability to focus. Thank you.
Thank you, comrade.
Okay, is there a speaker against named chapter pronouns?
Point of personal privilege.
Yes.
Please do not use gendered language to Okay.
We have a lot of disabled comrades, and a lot of those are invisible disabilities. First of all, in this room, I see that no one's clapping for me. It could be because I'm not engaging, but it also is because everyone's doing this, and that's really important because those loud bursts of noise, even though this is a noisy space, when we can do something like reducing that, that's really Um, and, and additionally with the, um, the noise issue, like avoid hissing, avoid waving banners, right? If you don't know what to do, show up these, right? I'm sure there's lots of ways that we can communicate to each other without needing to rely on something, uh, that's going to hurt somebody else. Um, we have quiet rooms that are available. There's a range of options of these, right? On 7, there's one that has video but no sound if you still want to be able to observe the convention, but the sound is an issue. There's also in Piedmont 8, a completely quiet room. One thing to note there, please don't go into that space with anything that's like an aggressive scent, for instance, right? Because that's going to be difficult for people. Don't talk to cops. Don't talk to MAGA assholes. Oh, we're almost there. Just this. But thank you.
Quick point of privilege once again. Quick point of privilege once again. Hi, James Jackson, Sacramento DSA. He/him. I have already asked people to be mindful of the chatter of their comrades who are sensitive to sensory overload, and that goes double for the heckling and the hissing. It is also triggering to my anxiety. Like, the be comradely doesn't just— isn't just for like, you know, let's keep things civil or whatever. It's so that people aren't gonna get triggered and so that it doesn't affect their performance as a delegate, okay?
Uh, resolutions and a vote of censure.
Very brief point of information. If you are using a microphone, talk into it directly like I am right now, and do not wave your face back and forth because people cannot hear you.
That is all.
Okay, awesome. Thank you for the pointer. Yes, uh, could someone please run a mic to the comrade in the jean jacket, of which there are many?
I simply had a question.
Sorry, could we—
thank you.
Hold on, point of order.
Yep.
Thank you.
So—
Sorry, what's your name and your—
My name is Trey.
I use they/them and he/him pronouns. I'm from Memphis.
Thank you for asking. Nice to meet you.
Sorry.
Nice to meet you.
I had a question.
So Nick, Jack, what is his name?
Or what is their name?
Nick J. They were elected as an at-large delegate before they resigned.
Is that correct?
No?
Okay, then never mind.
Now, thank you.
Hi, I am Andy P. from Los Angeles, they/them pronouns. Could I please ask the chair to again There was a previous point of privilege about waving around signs, that it is distracting to other comrades. I have autism. This is distracting to me.
Can I—
I would like to ask our fellow delegates, please, to not wave around your signs, especially during voting.
Thank you.
Yes.
I can't— I'm sorry, I couldn't stop it. I couldn't stop. I'm sorry for those of you who now have blood pressure issues in the chat, or you might be having your own aggressions, my comrades. I'm so sorry. And to you, I raise my banners. Um, oh my God, Owen, what? Like, it's almost like a corporate meeting because nothing's gonna get done. Like, they're saying nothing. But—
Well, it seemed like it was a comedy sketch. I mean, it just— how would you even parody that? Like, it's its own parody. But I, I will say, like, if I just step back and say from a persuasion perspective, I do think there's something there because If you can get everyone to do all these things physically, like, you know, conform with this policy, put your hands up, don't clap, don't do this, do this instead, don't use these pronouns, do this, then like that becomes how you basically turn them into these cult members. And if you recall, there was that other clip how— or that other story how some teacher— I think some students were saying, how could anyone have been, you know, Recruited as one of the Nazi youth, and he did this experiment. He's like, okay, let me show you. And he, he started, you know, telling people like how to behave and like what to wear and all this stuff. And it became suddenly very popular and everybody was doing it within a matter of days. Everybody was ready to be part of this thing. And it was almost like he started his own little Nazi youth thing in a matter of like a week or two. And he got scared and stopped it because it was like way more effective than he was expecting it to be. And I think that is what's going on to some extent, is that when you get people to follow your rules and tell them what to do and enforce the rules, then suddenly they become your enforcement arm. Like, they'll do it for you and they'll try and get everyone else, and they'll, they'll basically pass that on. And I think that is an element to this, is that they're, they're basically making people become their cult members by giving them all the rules they have to follow.
And did you hear the guy from, uh, the DSA, the Democrat Socialists of America? He's like, and my anxiety, you've gotta be quiet! And he's like starting to yell, and I'm like, dude, calm down. But that's the DSA. And UZH said that Dale would have loved this. Yes, Dale would love this. Marcella, I mean, oh my gosh, it's just— what's happening?
Just makes me sad. Yeah, just why are these people like exist this way? And, and how, you know, even Che Guevara would put them out in the pasture. Like, like all the communists that ever happened would be like, really, this is what communism came to be? They would probably become capitalists for all—
Right. No, you're right.
It's just so sad. Um, and, and to be honest, I think they do believe in all these things though. Like, it's not get. They really do. Um, they have come to believe they have an anxiety about certain thing, or they're autistic or something else. And it's just— yeah, it's crazy.
And I, I mean, I don't think any one of those people should be in a room of more than one person. I mean, they're like— they clearly should not be out. I mean, then they're like, you can go to the 7th floor and you can go in there but not with perfume, and you can go to the 4th floor and that's a totally quiet room.
No, no aggressive scent? What does that mean?
Your perfume will bother me.
Is it?
Is it? Or is it something else? Like more?
Haven't you ever encountered an aggressive scent, Marcel?
I guess I never thought of it as aggressive. I thought of it as like, what do they wear? Like, if it's cologne, I, I didn't know if it meant— because there's other people that, that, that are more esoteric, or how would you say, like yoga, like they can feel your energy. And if you come into a room with like alpha energy, they don't want you near them, that kind of stuff. So I don't know if it's like actual smell or just the persona of the person.
It's smell. I've witnessed this with people. I mean, I don't live in California either, but I live in California.
Yeah, I mean, but there can be some that are over the top. I mean, there are some perfumes and colognes that are like, what's going on here? Um, I, you know, usually you're polite and you don't say anything, but it's like, okay, somebody's got something on that's You know, pervading this entire space. But I don't think that's what they were doing in this case. I think they were trying to like, you know, again, it was all about like, let's create a safe space for everybody. But it turned into this parody because it's like, there's no way you can satisfy all these people, right? There's no way you could find something that someone's not going to get offended by.
To the ladies and men listening, or whatever you're identifying as today, When you put on perfume, I'm just gonna suggest to you, like I see like these YouTuber influencers, okay? And I'm like, oh my God! They're like this, like all over their body. Listen to me. Take your perfume, your cologne, whatever it is. If it's a spray, spray it in front of you one spritz and then walk through it. Okay? That's it. Spritz, walk through. Okay, that's it. That's all you need. I'm just saying.
I agree.
I'm aggressive. I'm aggressive.
I can't— one night.
I made the mistake once. I was like looking at colognes. I'm like, oh, I'm gonna get this cologne. And it was like some vanilla scent sort of thing. But, but it was like, I just put like one squirt on my neck, just one. And then, you know, as soon as I walk out of the room, my wife's like, what the hell is that smell? Like, it was like going everywhere. Yeah, it was like, if I ever do use that, which I don't even think I use it anymore.
But it—
like, if I do it, I'm gonna do like half a squirt or like a quarter. Like, I'm not even gonna do a full depression of the thing because it's just way too much. It's like this super strong scent.
Spritz in front of you. And usually I do a twirl. I just—
you're so critical, people. You're so critical.
Oh, I don't want to smell everybody. It's gross.
And then I don't mind someone wearing some perfume. I don't mind someone wearing perfume or cologne, but if you can smell it From as soon as they walk into the room and it's like 20 feet away, there's something else going on there. It's a little bit too much.
Like Coco Chanel said, you know, less is more. Just less is more. 3 spray minimum. 1, you guys. 1. Okay. That's my opinion. Now, if you're with Marcella, go for it.
If you're an anarchist, I guess I don't believe in rules. Like, if we start going like that and then you could just tell somebody, hey, you know, when I use less, a little bit less, you know.
All right.
All right.
Next time I see you, I'm gonna put 2 squirts on and see what you think.
Oh, I would like it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Oh my God. I'm zipping my mouth so hard right now.
It's gonna smell like a cookie factory or something.
That's a manly man right there.
I am. Oh my God. The jokes I can make right now, you guys, just, I just want you guys to credit me because I am like, I, okay.
Ooh.
Um, all right. So I guess we should move along, but, uh, that, that was fun. I, I couldn't stop the clip short, you guys. It was just so amazing.
I was like, stop this.
I know, I know. It was just amazing. Okay, so let's move along. Um, did you guys see over the weekend— so I guess Obama had comments about AI that weren't so good. So I want to play a short clip of Obama, and then we're going to go to Chamath for the reaction. But let's hear— I'm sorry, again, I'm sorry if I had to see it, you have to see it. But let's listen to former President Barack Obama.
So the big thing right now in AI is what are called agents, agentic AI. If we are thinking about AI just in terms of how do we cure cancer or get better energy, you can do that without having agentic AI and having it just roaming free on the internet. The reason you are doing that is because you have to market a product that people will pay money for. That's a misalignment between what our society needs and the commercial imperatives that these companies are facing, not because necessarily they're trying to do bad things, but because, you know, they've got to— they've got to make money. justify these valuations.
You guys, the locals are on fricking fire today with their comments for each section of this show so far. I cannot wait to go back and read all these. That's amazing. Okay, so there he is, the man, the myth, the legend, the man who brought racism back to America. Thank you so much, Obama. And before we react, let's just listen to Chamath since he'll probably have a better reaction than I could. Let's take a listen.
This is a very important moment for a very simple reason, which is we, as in the world, are about to endow 3, 4, 5, 6 companies with about $10 trillion of wealth. And what Obama knows very well is that most of those companies are overwhelmingly left-leaning. And what he also knows is that there is a huge portion of that money that will then get put into philanthropic and charitable causes that then he will and the people around him will be beneficiaries of. That is the truth. We already know this because we know that some of these frontier corporations actually ask you to stand up DAFs and have a portion of your stock that you're willing to pledge. So this money is going to go to things other than consumption or savings. And so it's going to go into PACs, it's going to go into political movements, and they stand to disproportionately benefit. So this has nothing to do with prosperity. This is a very simple political calculus. If you freeze-frame the economy the way it is today, a handful of organizations that will disproportionately be able to affect the Democrats will win. They will capture the lion's share of the economic gains, and then they will help the Democrats win power. That's all this is.
Okay, so Marcella, I'll let you react to this first. I mean, I guess that's true, right? They have to donate a big chunk of this money to different groups. And I mean, what do you think about what Obama said, what Chamath's saying, or just in general?
Oh, I mean, I think that Anthropic and OpenAI, I don't know about other companies, but they're They're being political because they're, they're betting on the Democrats winning the midterms and then eventually winning the White House. So they're looking at what's best for them, and that's why they're doing all this, the, you know, working with Bernie Sanders and other Republicans, Ro Khanna, or everybody else, anybody else that wants to do, um, like Gavin Newsom wants to do a a bill or law against, you know, against their competition, basically. But one of the things that Obama said, he's not wrong about what he said at the end, is that there's a lot of valuation to these companies and that they haven't shown any profit. And so some of it is that they want to keep competition down, but they also are acting in a certain manner to protect themselves. So he's not completely wrong. I don't understand. I don't know if he understands exactly what he's talking about, but he just seems like, oh, you know those agents and the agentic AI. And I thought of Owen when I saw that. I was like, oh, I wonder what Owen thinks about that.
And Trump had dinner with Anthropic.
Anthropic. What's his name?
I have his name.
Joe Berlotti.
Dario.
Dario.
Dario. Yeah.
All right.
So, Owen, thoughts on this?
Well, I mean, everything I heard from Obama there seemed against letting people have agentic AI. Like they were, you know, it seemed like he was just trying to keep it under wraps where only approved places could use it. And to me, it's just a power grab. It's basically saying, I want to be able to control who has this new power. And it is a new power. I mean, as we've said many times before, it can be very persuasive. It can do a lot of things in the world now that, and, and I, I personally think we should be making sure that everyone has access to it and everyone can run it locally without some government or some company deciding what you're allowed to say or hear or have it do. And to me, that's the big danger. And that's one of the reasons why I recently downloaded a whole bunch of models from Hugging Face, which is one of the places where these local models are released, because all the rhetoric is leaning in the direction of, hey, this is too dangerous. We can't let people have this. We need to keep it under control. We need to only let these certain companies do it. And You know, he's correct. Well, and where we're correct, that a lot of these places are left-leaning, and that if you leave it in their hands, then everything you hear from AI and everything it says and everything that it allows you to do or doesn't allow you to do is going to be controlled by leftists. And so it is going to have a massive influence on what happens in the world, and it will extend into elections. But even just every day, you know, when you try and do something, it's going to say, sorry, I can't let you do that. And it already does that with things that are legitimately bad. Like, if you ask it to help design a biological weapon or a nuclear weapon, it's going to tell you, no, I can't do that. But, you know, that could easily be extended into whatever they think is a bad thing, right? They could, just like we saw how they were trying to ban all sorts of things and tell you, and even that last clip where they're saying, you can't do this, can't do that, it would just tell you, hey, you're not, I'm not allowed to do that. I mean, they made fun of AI in the early days because it's like, you know, you try to get it to say the N-word and it's ready to end the world before it'll say the N-word. Like, it's just ridiculous how far they can take this. And, you know, Google got in trouble because all their pictures started having multicultural everything, even when you were drawing Nazis. And it, like, it, it can get really out of control like that. And if you have only the people that people like Obama decide should have this, and they'll say, oh, it's because we, you know, we need it to cure cancer and do all these good things, but then they're gonna do whatever they want with it. And they're going to put it to whatever use they want to it. And they're going to start inserting and saying, you know, we're regulating you. We want you to do X, Y, and Z. It's just like all the stuff Mike Benz talks about, where it's like this whole of government approach, and we're going to extend this everywhere. And that'll end up extending into AI, where they're going to say, okay, you can't say anything good about Trump anymore. You can't say anything bad about any of the people on the left. And let's program our AI to try and persuade everyone to become a leftist.
Yeah, I think the AI is going to start becoming a political party depending on who's in power. And what is that? So, all right, so we know we'll keep our eye on it. I'm anxious to hear what Trump says about his dinner last night. So I— we're running out of time and I have so much more I wanted to do and I don't know what to pick next, but I think we better go with some actual like world news right now. So Oh, but I'm sorry, I have to shortchange you on something so amazing, but maybe we can do it tomorrow. Okay, so we do need to talk about this. Here's another clip, and this is about a plot to perhaps blow up some of our Americans overseas. Let's take a look.
So I'm from the local force, so I'm from Gloucestershire Constabulary, just to make that clear. So at around 1— uh, 12:45 AM today, Sunday the 27th of September, police received a call relating to 3 suspicious vehicles travelling towards RAF Fairford. Armed officers responded and subsequently arrested 5 men in the Welford area on suspicion of committing offences under the Explosives Act. The men were taken into custody A 400-metre cordon has been put in place around the vehicles while the Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit examine them. As a precaution, around 85 households have been advised to evacuate while these examinations take place. A nearby leisure centre has been opened for those who are unable to stay with family or friends. The emergency services are working Our services have well-rehearsed plans for dealing with major incidents such as this. Work to establish the full nature of this incident is ongoing and we are in constant communication with our partners both locally and nationally. In particular, we are working closely with our partners in counter-terrorism policing. Gloucestershire Police's focus at this time is on the local community and I'd like to thank the residents Residents who have left their homes this morning for their understanding and support. We appreciate the disruption that this will have caused to both them and other local residents in the area.
Okay, so I'm sort of cutting them off for time. So you could see they evacuated 85 homes and, you know, that they found a few vans with bombs in it. Marcella, do you have like a summation on this by any chance?
So 5 were arrested. There was There's this discrepancy between how we came about knowing about this. So there was a farmer lady that was out and about. I don't know what she was doing, but she was driving around to 12 a.m. in the morning, maybe from a party or something like that, towards her house. She's the one that called it in. She said that she saw them with a baklava, many men, and allegedly she says that she saw more than five. So we don't know if perhaps she misunderstood or, or she didn't see it. But thankfully enough, she wasn't injured. She's the one that called the police. President Trump has indicated when he was asked by the press, he said that they already knew of these people and they were watching them. Both could be true, I guess. The issue is that there is There's perhaps it may be Iran that that did this. There's no proof yet, but the vans, some of the vans had the names of Fuel to You on it, and it was in red instead of green. Green in green in UK means fuel. Red in Iran means fuel. So it was in red instead of the usual green. Also, the number that they had on there was not a number that existed, but it had the 434 sequence, meaning 4 numbers, then 3, then 4. That follows what Iran does use. In the UK, they don't use that 434 number. So I don't know, it's like reading tea leaves. It may not be anything, but it did make other people, when they saw the vans, in the town, they didn't really, you know, it was very obvious to them that something was going on.
All right. But they didn't say something. The woman did. But, you know, it is true. See something, say something. Like maybe sometimes you feel like you're overreacting or, you know, you're just being like a Karen. But, you know, you never know. It's better just to say something if like if your little gut is tingly, I was going to just say something. Owen, do you want to say anything? I have a clip I want to get to before we leave, but go ahead.
Yeah, well, I mean, I think it is likely to me that this is somehow connected to some of the war stuff going on. It's still early in the investigation. I don't think we really know yet, but I think it is likely that it might be connected to the Iran war because it was around a base that the US Air Force is using to strike Iran. So I think that's probably the most logical thing, that it's some kind of counterattack trying to take that out. Certainly, it does seem like this conflict is starting to show up in other parts of the world. And it also highlights how it's important not to just let people into your country with no vetting and just let people across your borders, because that's the type of person that would be able to exploit that sort of thing and say, okay, great, it's easy now. I don't even have to sneak in really. I can just walk in with everybody else on this little boat and just have my way with whatever it is. And, you know, it's always kind of weird when you say we've had them under investigation or we've been watching them for a while. It's like, why didn't you stop them then? And always, if you, if you had, if you're watching them, why didn't you catch this before someone else did?
I totally agree.
Yeah, guys, this black mask, I don't know what it's called, but some people on the chat are making—
You called it like a baked good, a baklava.
Maybe I'm hungry. What's it called?
Uh, balaclava, I think, or—
Yeah, I think it's balaclava or something like that.
Balaclava.
There you go.
But baklavas, we, we knew what you meant.
Um, I prefer the baklava.
Me too. Or chocolate babka.
They were wearing, uh, you know, a mask.
A mask.
Like a ski mask.
Ski mask.
We didn't, we didn't notice there was something weird until we saw the baklava on their head.
They're like, why are they walking around baklava?
I do not know how to pronounce that word, so I'm just going to use ski mask from now on.
I mean, listen, it was ambitious to even try it. I wouldn't have. I was like, oh, good for you, Marcella. All right, so I want to play this clip because, Owen, you're setting me up for my clip so perfectly today without even knowing. But this is a journalist in the UK and her name is Alex Phillips and she's here Giving a dressing down to the Air Force about the Air Force base attack, but she's talking to what's his name? Wes Streeting. He's the Defense Secretary.
I do need to drop right at time.
So oh okay okay.
But I know I don't know how long your clip is. I just wanted to give you a warning that I'll need to drop at that point.
Okay, so if Owen's gone, I went too long for him. But so listen, you guys, this is another epic rant, and just like what Owen said, this is what you get when you just let. people flood into your country over your borders on the boats, exactly like what you said, Owen. Um, take a listen because they have just about had it, and so have we.
You're the defense minister. You are the defense minister, son. What are you doing about the small boat crossings, the terror cells, Islamism, the threat from Russia? Why is Israel sanctioned when they provide a lot of our intelligence reports for us? Why does the government seem to ignore warnings from agencies and former big beasts in intelligence who connect immigration with the security threat? Because I'm—I would take a little guess here, Wes. Let me teach you a thing or two in case you don't get it yet. I would imagine that whatever has gone down near Fairford, the people who have done it. it probably came into the country from somewhere else and came there specifically to do whatever it is they were planning to do. So perhaps— let me make it clear— you should join a dot, right, between Iran saying, oh, we shipped in various terrorists from the IRGC to your country via a boat over the Channel. They told you. It came out of their mouths. And yet you're still there going, oh, you know, Yeah, aren't they nice? They're just asylum seekers. Give them a hotel, let them stay on a military base, and don't worry about that perimeter fence, we'll open it wide up. In fact, well, let's lay on some minibuses to send them around the local towns so they can get their blueprints of where our critical infrastructure is and grope some girls. Why is it that all of you, you Wes Streeting, you Andy Burnham, every single Muppet in the unions, every single past prime Minister for the past 10 years all seem to have failed to notice that if you were a hostile state or a terrorist organisation wanting to get weapons into the country, or people who might use those weapons, a great idea would be to bus them in illegally. I don't know, on a boat. Sometimes they use private jets. They're still getting in the back of lorries. And perhaps therefore some of these people you give smartphones to and teach to make little balloon animals and you're encouraged to sing Kumbaya and hand out the old rape pamphlet, perhaps some of these people might be terrorists. Perhaps you should state publicly that the risk from these people breaking into our nation is a security one and get real. This has been going on too long. I'm afraid actually at this point it's probably too late because they're all there, aren't they? They're all there. They're now dotted around ready to carry out their various operations. We need to have, as you say, our security services, our armed forces, our police and emergency responders on standby 24/7 to actually react and make sure they can't blow things up because you and all of your colleagues in Westminster have failed to do your job in protecting the realm. So it's all very well putting your nice words on X. Thank you for saving us again. What are you gonna do about it, eh? Buck stops with you, Defense Secretary. I want to hear a concrete plan, and I want to hear you say, admit that people coming into the country illegally are a security risk, and then do something about it.
Uh, again, another cigarette for me. Owen, I'll let you react first, but yes, meow, I see you. We can't talk about everything in 1 hour, but yes, there are a whole shit ton of illegals coming toward our southern border right now. It's a problem, Owen, but I'll let you react to our southern border and what this woman's saying.
Well, I mean, I don't know how to top that. Like, I think she was pointing out the truth, and I think it makes sense. And I hope it goes far and wide so people over there hear it. And I do think we have the same issue here. And I think it was, you know, just as dangerous to let people across our southern border or our northern border or any border for that matter, because if you just let people in like that, the people, the worst people, the people you really don't want here, like the terrorists, are the ones that are going to get through. And I think a lot of them did. And we're still worried about what might still be around. And I think Kash Patel is doing a good job trying to track those people down and get rid of them. But because obviously we haven't had anything major happen yet, but it could happen at any time. And I think if it does, the most likely thing you'll find is that that's how they got in.
And that we've been tracking them for a year. We knew they were here. We've been watching them. So it's— it makes me nervous. Um, Owen, go ahead, jump. Marcella, can you stay for a couple minutes?
Sure.
Okay, great, because I just wanted to—
Bio, thanks.
I just wanted to get your reaction to her too, because like, I can't even imagine anyone in our media— imagine Jake Tapper being like, and you, you know? I just love that she's holding him to account.
I, I like what she's saying. I don't like the way she's saying it, just the same way that other lady was saying it. It's just too much when they get to that. It's too much emotion. I think you don't have to go that way. It's not persuasive to me. Um, but I like what she's saying, and she's saying it to him. I don't know if he responded ever. Like, I wish I could see what he said. Because I think he was on the conversation, right? A little bit. I wish I would know more.
I mean, what's he going to say? The usual talking points.
Yeah, but you, you go back and forth, uh, debating him, you know. So when— let him say things that are negative and then go and push back. That's what I like. I like when people are put on the spot.
But when, when we see these clips, Marcella, they've already tried just talking. We're getting to the point where they're like, I've had it. Like, the, the boiling point has come and gone, and now I'm here, and now I'm like a lunatic screaming. Just like, you know, you just— you can only take so much. And now you see like this terror plot, and, you know, every— and it's like, okay, well, how do these Iranian people come in here and do this? You know, like, you're allowing them all in. So I get that, you know, but go ahead.
I mean, I agree that you could, you could be, uh, you know, passionate about how you feel about something, but this is why I loved Charlie Kirk's way of doing things. He debated them and maybe they kept on their position, but he never got, uh, angry to a certain level. That's just beautiful. It's more persuasive to me. Um, but that's just my thing. It's like, I, I don't like when women get like that, or any— or men in general. Just, it doesn't— you lose your persuasion, in my, in my opinion. But that's why I like the, the stance, like when you talk, or like when Charlie Kirk talks, like that kind of where you're still passionate but you haven't gone to the point of your hands and—
Oh, I've, I've been her a million times.
Right. But I just don't— yeah, I don't, I don't think that's— I don't think that leads you to what you want for it to lead you. But I don't know what can be done about the UK besides moving out of there. It just seems like Europe is losing in so many levels. But one of the things that the UK did was leave the EU, Brexit, you know, and That that was important position, and then there's a party. There's different people that have the same view as as you know as this lady who do, and that can help. And them seeing this attack and all of this, a lot of the times the people that are terrorists are also born in the UK. You know, because that's they've they've segregated themselves away from each other.
Right. Yeah. So, I mean, listen, there's a thousand ways to skin a cat, they say. So, you know, I get the frustration. Like, that's something— like, I'm known for taking a lot. And then when it's like, it just, it's like, okay, I've taken all I can take, I snap. And sometimes it's very effective because people don't think I'm gonna snap. And then when I snap, it's like, oh shit, she snapped. We took it too far. It's like, Yes, now it's gone too far. So I, for me, I like that energy at some point because I'm like, oh my, like I get so frustrated watching our news people just be like, well, tell me, sir. I'm like, say something, like stop being such a professional and so calm, like speak for the other people who can't take the frustration anymore and we don't have a voice. So I felt like that mom was amazing because she's I was like, you know what, she was actually— I thought she was pretty freaking calm. I thought that was a very good delivery. You're talking about your children and what's happening, and she was very, um, factual-based and assertive, and I liked it. She— that the newscaster has just freaking had it. And I think she does have a spicy personality anyway, but I like to see someone go off like that once in a while, like on my behalf, because I don't have that platform that she has to yell at the Defense Secretary. And I'm just like, yes, like hold them to account. They're supposed to be working for the people. So that was good. But anyway, so I definitely want to get that in and maybe we could do the other clips tomorrow. But guess what? We have Steve Cortez joining us tomorrow. So we're looking forward to that. And he has a new mini documentary out. So we're going to talk about that. I'm going to post it in the X chat later, you guys. So you could watch it. I think it's maybe 20, 25 minutes, but it's a timely documentary and it has a lot to do with our elections. So we'll, we'll see him tomorrow and talk about that. Marcella, any closing arguments for today?
No, I just wanted to wish a happy birthday to Scott, one of our fans on the chat.
Oh, Scott. It's his birthday. Yeah, Scott. Oh, happy birthday, Scott Ritchie! I hope you have a big steak to celebrate with a candle in it. I think he will. Uh, yes, happy birthday. And a massive closing sip to our beloved Scott. We miss you and love you so much.
Thank you.
So much. Let's go be useful, you guys, to Scott.
Scott.
Oh, I have a drip. Aw. Uh-oh. All right, you guys, you know what I'll do? I'm gonna— bye, Marcella, thank you. I'm gonna play an Akira video, you guys, and I'll chat with you in the chat. And, um, we're gonna do A Better Version of Yourself. How about that? Okay, and I'll watch you guys in the chat. You guys, the comments today off the hook amazing. So freaking good. Okay, let's go. It's not me.
The old frame used to be, be yourself. Anybody ever used to give you that advice? Be yourself. Terrible advice. Here's, here's the reframe: become a better version of yourself. Become a better version of yourself. If you're satisfied being yourself, people aren't going to want to be around you. You're not that good. You need some work, and you should admit that you're a work in progress. People will like you better if you admit you've got some work to do. Try being better. You should be working on some kind of a system, process, or You should be striving for finding some way to be the improved version of yourself. You should be getting smarter, healthier. You should become wiser, kinder. You should be trying to get your, you know, your depression down and get your mental health better. You should be trying to get different in every possible way. Become a better person. Become a better version of yourself. People ask me if when I hit it big with Dilbert and I went from not having money to doing well, People ask me if being famous and successful changed me. Did it change me? Well, I hope so. That was the whole point. Why would I go through all that work to be the same person? Everything that I do has at least a secondary ambition of changing me. Like, I don't go to the gym because it doesn't change me. I don't work hard in my career because 'Cause it won't change me. I do it so it will. If I wanna feel confident, what am I supposed to do, just sit in a chair and try to gin up some confidence? No, I'm gonna go do something. And then if it works, guess what? I get more confidence. Every day, in every way, I'm trying to figure out how to be like a little bit better version of myself. Become a better version of yourself. Become a better version of yourself. So if anybody ever tells you the key to success is be yourself, you're getting some bad advice. Be better. Just be better.
