Hello and thank you for joining. This is Shellee Howard from College Ready, and I am super excited to tell you about an announcement. It has been a long time coming, planning for over a year, and I am super excited to let you know we have been listening to you. You have showed us that you're not sure what your student is passionate about. You have told us They're overwhelmed, they're underwhelmed, they're sad, they're angry, they're depressed. We don't know what to do with them. And so I have decided to do something I've never done so far. As part of our College Ready program, we do offer what's a unique passion project to set your student aside and stand out from everybody else in college admission. But today I'm announcing that starting February 14th, you can give your child the best gift of love that will last a lifetime. We are going to be hosting, or I'm going to be hosting, Inspired Passion Project Master Class. And what that is, is every Sunday from 11 to 12 Pacific Standard Time, I am going to get on a Zoom call with students all over the world, and we're going to create a passion project. We're going to first help them find what are you passionate about. Parents, have you ever wondered as you watch them play on the computer or watch them play video games or watch TikTok, like, what in the world is so fun about that? Like, what is attracting them to that? Have you ever asked them what are they truly passionate about? What are their gifts and their talents? And what do they want to do for the rest of their life? And they look at you like, "Oh, Mom. Oh, Dad. You know, I'll figure it out when I'm older." Imagine if somebody gave you the gift of learning your passion, your gift, your talent when you were a teenager. How different your life would be today. So if you have a student who is a teenager, that would be 12 on up, and you would love to give them the gift of finding their passion, please sign them up for this masterclass where each Sunday for 1 hour I'm going to pour into them and help them to figure out what are they passionate about. If I gave them $1 million cash and they had to spend it all in 24 hours, what would they do with it? That's kind of a scary question if they don't know how to answer it. They absolutely are terrified with the thought of having all of that power to make such a decision. So if you want to help them without sounding like a parent, please send them over to us. I will be doing this via Zoom with a group of students who will support them. The first speaker is a student who's a senior with College Ready. She's been— I think this is her 4th passion project. She's been accepted to Notre Dame. She's been— she's a recipient of the Coca-Cola Scholarship. It's endless. So what is a passion project, you may be asking? It's more than just community service, right? Community service is so good, but does it make them stand out? Is it that impressive if your student says that they signed up and showed up to tutor? Is that going to make a college go, wow, that's amazing, they tutored, or not? Can your student write an essay about the the service that they've done. If they can't, they're not doing the right service. So a passion project is where we teach them, what are you passionate about? What do you want to see changed in the world? Can you see how those two things are like crazy? Some students have asked Siri, Siri, what am I passionate about? And it's crazy, they have no idea what they truly want to do. What do they want to major in? What do they want to have for a career? What do they aspire to be? What is their 5-year plan, their 10-year plan? You're thinking, I don't even know if they have a plan. We want to help them map this out. Live intentionally. Give them the skills right now that they can absolutely use for the rest of their life. Your student may not be that leader who wants to start their own, but maybe they find a place in somebody else's with a similar passion. So I'm having students who come and inspire these kids. We are one of the certifiers for the Presidential Award and the National Congressional Award. We're going to help these students be successful, stand out, and really make a difference. So please block out February 14th at 11 AM Pacific Standard Time. If you have any questions, please message me, and I look forward to supporting you and your family. Thank you so much.
