Hello, my name is Shellee Howard, and I am the founder and owner of College Ready. We help students get into college and graduate debt-free. You may be asking yourself, what sets us apart? But first, I'd like to talk to you a little bit about statistics. Currently, 67% of all students have a college consultant helping them navigate the crazy competitive world of college consulting, getting into college, and more importantly, graduating without debt. So with that in mind, I want to help you help your student. And how will we do that? Individually. Every student comes with gifts and talents that they are truly unique. And if we can focus in on what that looks like and how to highlight that, these students will have an amazing application. So keep in mind, every step is so critical. We work with students on their academic 4-year plan, but more importantly, on what classes to take rigor in. Should they be in AP, IB, dual enrollment? What does all that mean to each student and to the colleges? Secondly, testing. What is a good testing plan? How do they learn? What is their test prep strategy? How many hours should they test prep? Who should they test prep with? These are all really important questions, and a lot of money is given for students who do well in their testing. The third element is the passion project, and that is their community service. How do we show their uniqueness and their greatness in giving back to the community? We work individually with each student to make sure that they are passionate about their service hours. The next item is leadership. Leadership is so important to colleges. They want to know that students coming into their university are going to help others and be great and be a great representation to that college. Extracurricular activities is something that a lot of parents are questioning. Is it a good idea to have my son or daughter do multi-sports or multi-instruments? That strategy needs to be put together for each individual student. So putting all of that together, we work with the student and the family to find the best match colleges. We support them with application editors and essay editors and a team that will help them keep track of their deadlines and know what's important to colleges. So we would love the opportunity to help your student navigate these crazy waters of college and how to be competitive in such an intense environment while keeping them calm and fearless and enjoying their high school years. If you have a student who is feeling overwhelmed, please have them call College Ready. We would love to help them. Thank you.
