4,000 Students | ₹2.5 Crore Revenue | Started with Art - The Story Of Vaishnavi

In this live stage talk, Vaishnavi Khantkar shares her transformation from a professional cricketer to a successful realistic‑charcoal art coach. She recounts how societal discouragement, a period of emptiness, and the COVID‑19 lockdown became catalysts for rediscovering her passion for art and launching a digital coaching business. With the help of a mentor (Siddharth Rajsekar) and a clear three‑criteria framework (work‑from‑home, part‑time, freedom), she built a community of 4,000 students and generated ₹2.5 crore in two years. Vaishnavi details the operational tactics that drove a 5× ROAS: creative, multi‑angle ad production, low cost‑per‑lead (₹15‑20), WhatsApp automation to boost show‑up rates, and a structured sales funnel with objection‑handling scripts and a tiered lead hierarchy. She also highlights the role of her brother Malay in scaling operations, the importance of modeling top performers, and the broader impact of her coaching—helping students overcome creative blocks, earn income, and find emotional healing. The talk ends with a challenge to the audience to view art as a viable career and gratitude toward her mentor.

This April 2025, right now, she's— she's celebrating 2 years of her community. While this April 2025, right here, she's going to be on this sacred FBR stage for the very first time. So come on, let's give her some love with our applause. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a double whammy, ah, come on, right? Wow! I want to share this with you, that she has played professional cricket for Vidarbha. For multiple years. Yeah, give it up, give it up. She's also an MA in psychology, by the way. So in her own words, before she came into ILH, she was a jack of all trades, and she used to say that she was a master of none, master of a lot of things, right? But when she came into this amazing ILH energy and experience, she realized that there is one thing that she wants to become extremely good at, and that is what she started doing with her community. And this is the online business that she's extremely, extremely good at currently. So everybody, get off your seats and help me welcome the very amazing Vaishnavi Khantkar.
Thank you.
Let's hear it, come on!
Thank you. Please be seated. So, art, a career? Art mein toh rinai koi career hota hai. Become an engineer, doctor ban, IAS ban. Art is good for hobby, but it can never be a career, right? These are the kind of words we all have heard, have not we? Even when I actually spoke about art career, most of you must have had this sort of face, right? Like confused and a question mark on the face. "Kya bol gaya hai bhai?" Now, even though art is really not looked upon as a career, and then we don't even think about earning money through art, yet I'm going to be sharing something incredible today that's going to completely blow your minds away. So, when we actually think about earning money, we usually fall back to those 3 top niches, if you remember. Health, wealth, and relationships. But art as a career is never even thought about. Because normally, artists kitna hai kamalinge, you know? We always say ki yeh re kuch danka karlo, isme thodi na koi paisa hota hai. I mean, you will just struggle the rest of your life. And that's why this is the belief, this is the limiting belief that I am going to be actually breaking today. So, ever since I remember, I was a dreamer, believing in the unknown, envisioning things that don't exist. I used to write a lot of goals, a lot of dreams. I had a beautiful vision book as I was growing up. I used to listen to all those podcasts, self-growth learnings and stuff, because thanks to my parents, I was into self-development at a very young age. So I had those dreams and desires, but then never knew what I really wanted to do in life. So if I take you back to what I really was, I actually was a professional cricketer. For almost 10 to 15 years, I played for my state, Vidharbha. And being in cricket, I realized a lot of learnings. I learned a lot of life lessons. We fall back, we fail, we succeed, we have good days, bad days, lot of life lessons. But then, as I was still playing cricket and had this as a passion and wanted to represent my country, life had some other— kuch alag hi life ko leke, you know, it was something totally different that I never even thought about. So while I was playing cricket for so many years, there was a small thing inside of me, a small desire, a small feeling, a small passion that was always you know, on the backseat, and that was art. I was so passionate about being creative. As I was growing up, I used to spend my days completely engrossed in my art and craft stuff. I used to create a lot of DIY projects for my family, for my friends, you know, those greeting cards, those wrist— you know, rangu, kya bolte hain? Friendship bands and all sorts of stuff. So I was basically very, very creative. And I used to just love indulging in my creative projects. So while I was not on the cricket field, I used to be at home cutting, painting, gluing, and just having fun with my art. But as I was growing up, I realized that as I moved into 8th standard, art as a subject was completely removed from the systems. The message was very, very clear. It was: 'Art does not matter. Study what will get you a real job.' Right? And that's why, just for that thing, I buried my passion. For almost 24 years, I did not pick up a pencil. I did not pursue art even for hobby because nobody really appreciated that. Nobody actually supported what I really loved. And that's why I felt empty inside. I used to feel a lot of pain, a lot of— I just felt something is missing in my life, and I did not know what that really was. Year after year, I kept feeling the same feelings. Even though life looked amazing on the outside, internally, I was completely empty. And I realized that emptiness was actually the pain, the pain of potential unused. I knew I had so much of potential inside of me, And I just wanted to be creative. I just wanted to express myself, put myself out there, show to the world what I can really do. But then the society never really appreciated. And I mean, we do have a societal conditioning where these sort of fields are not even thought about as a career, or they actually discourage you to go into that in the first place itself. So while I was facing all of that, Life had a completely different— I don't know what just happened. COVID came, right? I'll just tell you. COVID was the turning point of my life because I would consider that to be like a rebirth for me. In those 2-3 years of the COVID I have actually experienced it all. From being— from actually experiencing the lowest of my times to then also experiencing an identity shift to exploring a new world of digital coaching, experiencing success, prosperity. Oh my God, I've experienced it all during the COVID Now basically, I always had the 3 criteria in my mind which I wanted to fulfill. Those were work from home, part-time because I was into cricket, so doing something full-time was not even an option, and build a business, you know, like a freedom, mala ko chhona chugi because Since I just have grown up reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, I knew, okay, business is going to be making me rich in the future. But I did not know what that business would be. I'm sure most of us have also come into ILH having the same criteria, right? Something of that sort. And that's where the magic happened. It is said that when the student is ready, the teacher appears. So Siddharth Rajsekar Rajsekar came into my life as a miracle. It was a father's gift. You would be— you must be thinking, father's gift, how would that be? So I did not buy Siddharth Rajsekar's course. It was my dad who actually purchased this course for his own niche because he wanted to build his coaching empire. He was into soft skill training, and that's why he had bought it for himself. So at first, I honestly thought my dad is 'Literally going crazy. I don't know what he is doing at his desk all day long, recording videos, waking up in the morning at 4 AM.' I just literally thought he is crazy. But then, during the same time, during COVID itself, I had restarted my art as well. I had reconnect— started reconnecting to my soul's purpose. Siddharth Rajsekar. So like, when I started re— when I actually started my art again in the COVID period, I have started feeling happy again. That emptiness that was there inside of me slowly started to go away because I was really doing what I loved. And you know, honestly, I was just doing for the sake of it because I love doing that. But then somewhere deep down inside, I had those 3 criteria to fulfill. And around the same time, I had started getting orders as well. So I used to create art, sell art, and I finally thought, "Yes, my business is going to go a long way. I'm actually building something from home, like a part-time business, doing what I love. You know, life is rock and roll." But we all know the truth, right? So one day, my dad came, and then he asked me, "Vaishnavi, you are so good at your skills. Why don't you create a course and sell that?" And I was like, "I am still learning. Mujhe niyaata teach khaana. How do I teach them?" But when he actually showed me few success stories of the people, especially if I have to tell you which success story, it was Sharmila and Ashley's story. That's the exact video he showed me on that particular day, 5 years back. And that completely blew my mind away. I was like, "Oh God, is that even possible?" And I'm like, "Oh, like, what is happening?" And that moment actually planted a seed inside of me that, "Yes, I can also do stuff. Let me just give it a try." Kone ke liye kya hai, paane ke liye sab kuch hai, right? And that's where— So that's where initially, I did not want to teach at all. You know, like, I was always against teaching because mujhe school wale teachers bade boring lagte the. So I never wanted to be like them at all. But here I am, from not having any plans to teach to now have finally taught 4,000 students in my community. Having earned ₹2.5 crores in 2 years, I'm gonna be sharing those amazing strategies with you that can help anyone starting out today. Are you ready to hear that? Awesome! Let me share the key strategies that have worked for me and that will work for you for sure. So we actually have a 5x ROAS in the entire funnel. Now when I say "we," it is not just me who is actually doing the whole thing. It is my brother as well, Malay, who has joined hands with me and who is working like a backend team with me, supporting the business, growing it to heights. So there was a time when he saw the potential of the business, the money coming in, and he finally decided to quit his job and get into it full-time. And that's where together, brother and sister, we are actually building building it with a lot of passion, a lot of purpose, a lot of service, service mindset. So coming to the main strategy, the first one here is that overall we have like a 5x ROAS in the funnel. Now even at L1, we have seen that we are able to consistently generate 2x to 3x ROAS. How is it possible? The secret is that creative ads. Now me being a creative person, I try to include a lot of creative elements into my ads when I'm shooting them. And then I try to also save inspiration from here and there. So when I keep watching some amazing ads, I just love to save them or just probably share it with my brother on Instagram. And then we have like a group where we keep sharing the ad inspirations. And then when we do that, what we really do after saving the inspiration is we try to recreate those in our own flavor and then in a very unique manner. So if you actually go and look at my different, different ads, we have actually done some crazy, crazy ads. We have done some roleplay ads, jaap hai, I actually got to be like an actor. On mein bilkul actor gari thel heroine ki tarah ki, oh, actor hain, zeh so. So like, you know, I have also done that. There was also funny ads, jaap hai. We did Majnu bhai wala ghoode ka ad. Have you all seen that movie? So we also did that ad. Kere ye ke banein toh banjhu mai ka goda hai. So yeah, it's like funny ads also work for us. Then some testimonials, some raw ads, some professionally shot ads. So basically different kind of angles, different, different elements we try to put in the ads, and that's how we are able to attract the right audience and also have a very low CPL. If I have to tell you, the current CPL that we have in the business is just 15 to 20 rupees, that's it. The second secret that I'm going to share with you is that we have to work on show up rate. So what we did is that we started implementing WhatsApp automation in our system. Earlier we used to avoid that thinking it to be an extra cost, but then there was a little mind shift that happened. We started treating WhatsApp automation as just ₹1 extra added to the lead cost. That's it. With that little mind shift, we could see more people coming in, more people showing up, and more people ultimately buying the product. So the point here is that no matter how good of an expert you are, if the people, if the people not even are showing up to the webinar, who is going to buy the product? So we have to really, as marketers, put our brains into making sure the people are showing up to the webinar. That's what we did. We also implemented a beautiful WhatsApp nurture where we have a lot of different sequential messages that go every day 2 to 3 times probably. And then there are different elements. Maybe we let them engage on a certain post, maybe even a video. We give them like a form to fill. We ask them what's really— what is the challenge they are facing?. And then try to collect all of that and then just nurture all the groups. And that's how also pre-framing happens in the— before they even come for the webinar, the pre-framing has already happened while they were in the WhatsApp group. Then thirdly, we also started working on irresistible offers and solid sales system. Now I'm going to talk about this point for a little more time, and that is I would say that I have definitely made selling as my superpower. If there's one thing we have to really have in ourselves in this day and age, is definitely the only superpower should be selling for all of us. Because, you know, being a cricketer, I've realized selling is almost like a performance that we do in the webinar. Because the script, the kind of words we use, the kind of connect we we have with the audience. And then the kind of words that trigger the sales is just like a performance, and we really have to prepare for that and deliver it well. Because I have seen that when I'm not well prepared, the sales have actually dropped. The same script, but the performance is not good if I'm not preparing very well for that, really understanding my customer, their pain points, what's really going through their life. The sales drop if I'm not prepared well. So it's like a performance on the pitch for sure. I also have this modeling the best attitude. What I do here is that I actually attend lot of different webinars. And I have actually attended most of your seminars, if you don't know it. Because I try to pick up the elements from the best people and try to implement that into my system. What's working for them might be working for me as well. That is the mindset there. So modeling the best attitude.. And then we always talk about this one that have so much of love and passion, love and connect with your target customer, with your community, that you're not selling it, but people want to buy the product from you. So that has been one of the secrets for my growth, for my 5x ROAS as well, because even when I don't have a product, most of the people are wanting to buy the next level, next level. So currently I do have level 1 and level 2 memberships. I don't have L3 yet, but still people are ready to buy the L3 product, and then it's me who is not having L3 yet. And I'm just sharing it openly because, yeah, it's okay. We can have our own weaknesses, our own strengths. But yeah, it's about having something which you're not trying to sell, they are willing to buy. Then I would also love to share the numbers with you. So I remember in Goa, I was selling my L1 product. 64 people bought on the day of the webinar, and that was the first time ever I made ₹1 lakh in one day, which is— which was huge for me because I never believed it is even possible. But then fast forward to that, 1.5 years later, I did a gold showcase, and that's where exactly the same people, same kind of numbers converted. But the number was— since I gave more value and the product was priced higher, I made ₹10 lakhs in one day, and which was a big milestone for me, making ₹10 lakhs in one day. Now, if you look at the graph of our business, the last month was the biggest for us because that's where in our niche, teaching people to draw, teaching people that realistic form of art, we have actually earned ₹30 lakhs in the last one. So the things that really work for us to make sure these numbers are consistently being hit is that we have a master sales team. The mindset here is that you don't want to waste any lead that comes your way. So initially what I did was that while I was while I was taking webinars, live webinars, and then like in the next day what I used to do was that I used to become like a telecaller and then call all my hot leads. And I try to know their objections and rejections. Why are they not buying the product? What is really stopping them? Just like trying to know their objections and then I actually created a beautiful system where for every single objection, I had a solution. That's what I created. For the first few months, I was completely like a telecaller. So, the kind of objection that I have is like, "Paise nahi hai, exam chal rahi hai, my parents won't agree, I don't think it's going to work, online toh diya hota hai aaj." All sorts of stuff. You know, the basic objection that I have for my target market. I actually jotted those down and then created a system and delegated that to my team. And now today we have a beautiful sales team that is able to consistently generate 40% backend sales. You can just imagine. So imagine not having a sales team and leaving all the money on the table. So that's where we empowered the sales team. We taught them. We also included those elements where we actually fetch leads in hierarchy. And that's where you must be thinking, who are hot leads, who are warm leads? What we do is that we actually have a separate sheet where we have like a hierarchy, right? Who is the hottest, who is warm, and who is cold? So the hottest people are those who have actually opted in for a Google form, which we say like an offer extension form. The people who want to get into the membership probably the next day because for any reason they didn't have money, spouse se lena tha, papa ghar pe nahi hai, whatever is the case, we actually give them a chance to maybe come the next day. And that's where people do come in, in offer extension. That's the hottest lead. Second one, we also have the failed payments. All those people trying to make the payment but then didn't work out. So the team calls them up the next day and then most of the people do pay the next day. The people who actually say me, so what we do is that, it's a funny thing. When I actually reveal the price to the customers that the final price for you guys is going to be just diddidi. So then I say, now tell me how many of you want to jump on board? And they are like, me, me, me, me, me. All the me starts coming in that way. What we do is that we actually take out the Zoom chat and then all those people who said me, the team calls them up the next day and that's how we also generate some income through that. They must be just chatting on the Zoom chat, but they don't know that we are actually tracking everything that they're doing on the Zoom. So yeah, so in the same manner, as you can see, the stay till the end wale people are those who just stay till the end, don't chat, don't do anything, they're just hanging around. But then we still call them up just to give like a personal touch, just for a feedback session, probably that how can we help you, what are you looking for. And then some of them do convert from that also. So you can see that's how we are able to generate 40% backend conversions. Now I would just say in the end, the product is always simple. You know, we might think art, kiya hai isme, like arti toh hai, but it's the purpose. It's the problem that is solving for the bigger market. We never know the kind of impact that it can have on the people. You know, just consider my product. It is just art, as I said. But today, it is actually much more beyond just art. Today, it is actually helping so many people change their lives. Because what we don't see behind the screen is that many creative souls really crave for that. They want a nurturing environment. They want someone to support them, to help them, to grow their passions because we all have heard, all the creative souls have heard that at least once in their lifetime, art mat kar, art chor de, aise gut niyon hai mala. Yeah, they have all heard that. But then I've seen people coming out of depression, healing themselves, getting that emotional reconnection. Some people started earning money through art as well. People have generated 50,000, 60,000, doing 1 lakh. So like, the impact is huge. And that's why I want to say, if you're all doubting your niche, still doubting your niche, You just have to ask yourself, what problem does it solve for the market? Because when your product becomes someone's lifeline, you can truly become unstoppable. So, question to all of you, with which I actually started. After earning 2.5 crores in 2 years being a realistic drawing coach, You guys tell me, can art be a career? See, you got your answer. And I'm just reminded of that movie, "Oh My God," where I truly believe that universal energy comes in different, different forms. Hamee lakhta tha, murlibare Krishna wapasayeinge. Magar nahi, the Krishna we know, he existed in that age where Arjun really needed him. But today, agar aaj ke zamane mein Krishna has to come, it was so beautifully shown in the movie Oh My God, where he actually came wearing suit and tie in Kanji's house saying, I am the Krishna and I'm gonna be staying with you for the next few days at your home. But today, if Krishna has to return, if Krishna has to come back again, he's definitely, definitely gonna be coming wearing suit and tie, surely, but through Zoom webinars. So, our 21st century Krishna for sure is Siddharth, because he has truly, truly impacted so many people and I can sense that, the way he talks, the way he teaches, oh my God, he is truly a God for us. So Siddharth, this is only and only possible because of you. I am so grateful to you. You have changed the entire economy of the country, of so many people, of my life, and I am just so, so, so grateful to you. So thank you so much, Siddharth. You are our God, and that's how I am feeling right now. Wow, thank you!
Was that awesome? Was that inspiring?
Yes!
Vaishnavi, I'm super proud of you because I know you got in 2019. At that time we had this Faces of Change and remember there was a time where I got all the videos and you had sent a video. So I've seen how committed she's been in the community for so many years and when you got the 1 crore champion award in the last FBR, I'm like, "What?" I mean, you're able to do it in art and I— at that moment I marked, I said, "Vaishnavi has to come and speak in this next FBR." Yeah? Vaishnavi, super proud of you and by the way, how many of you realize that she is a damn good marketer. Not just an artist. Okay? So you got these results because you track every single thing, you got into numbers, you're not just a creative person, you're also a very logical person. Yes or no? So, super proud of you. I want all of you to give another round of applause.
