How Shruti Chaudhary Built a Crore Coaching Business After the Financial Crisis?

My husband's business went into deep losses and we were in the debt of over crores. Social media, mere bas ka nahi hai. Baat padh karna, yeh sab mutsane aayega. And I said, if that vlogging guy from 2016 can do it in 2019, I can also do it. The Shruti who entered and the Shruti who came out wasn't the same. That day I decided I'm going to be building my business in the coaching industry. And 4 months later, I launched Charismatic You. A year later, I saw this beauty on Instamojo, literally counting the number of zeros and saying, really, I made a crore?

So in life, you can absolutely count on one thing, that every single thing turns around, either in one day or maybe, you know, a year, or in one moment. And I'd like to say to the person who's really going to set the stage on fire next, I'm saying this to her directly, darling, You're a goddess, you're a badass, and we really, really love you for who you are because you're totally rocking it. She knows I've just said this to her, but she, you need to know, is a personality and mindset coach. She's a TEDx speaker. She's the founder of Charismatic You. Some of you know whom I'm talking about. She helps people rewire their relationship to themselves as well as to others by working on their mindset and their personality so that she can allow them to shine their charismatic best. Wow. I like a room like that in my next webinar. Do you guys know there's something really unique about this room? This room is a room of dreamers. 99% of us have followed one line of profession and then realized we can do more, we can be more. And that's exactly how my journey got started. Born in Punjab, during my time, two buses were leaving. One towards the engineering college, another one towards the medical. I boarded the engineering one because that was easier. Next logical step, got into corporate giant. Worked for Siemens, then for Cisco. And then the bug hit. Hit me, the same bug which has hit every single one of you here in the room. I want to do more. I want to follow my passion. And that was the new fashion. Kuch toh karna hai, par pata nahi kiya karna hai. How many of you agree? A journey of 1,000 miles always gets started with just one thought. During that time, I was taking a stroll with a friend of mine. In my apartment and she said, "There is this guy, there is this guy who stays in our— there is this guy who stays in this block and he teaches how to do the blogging and to make money out of it." I said, "Wow." Next morning I went to Cisco. In one of the boring meetings, I opened my laptop, opened Facebook and searched for him. And I found him. Siddharth Rajsekar. Loved what he was doing, the content he was creating, loved it. But then told myself, he is good, but this is not for me. Social media, mere bas kani hai, baat baat karna, yeh sab mutsane yoga. One next day, you know, few months later, my friend pushed me into the room of magic, success gyan. The Shruti who entered and the Shruti who came out wasn't the same. That day I decided that I'm going to be building my business in the coaching industry. And 4 months later, I launched Charismatic You. Started to work with people to help them to revive the relationship with themselves by working on their mindset and personality. I was the sales girl of my company. I called myself Pooja, not Pooja Puneet. Used to make these calls telling, please buy my services worth ₹1,500. I was also crewing for Success Gyan during that time. In one of the events, one of my friends told me, why don't you bring everyone in one room and sell at one shot? I said, ah, Siddharth Rajsekar? He said, yes. I said, you know what, online business, not for me. You know, only when I talk to people on call, I feel the connect, and then I can sell. Anyone in the room who felt the same? Talking to a camera without seeing the faces, how can you sell, yaar? And then, he's too technical. "Sis, kusi chakkar mein toh choda tha, phir sikhu kyun mein?" And then once again, my engineer brain gave me valid reasons that he is good, but this is not for me. You know what? Some of us, we do not lose the game in reality. We first lose in our own head. Our intelligence is costing us our own growth. Fast forwarding, during that time, I was also going through a lot of rough time in my family. Both my husband and me followed our passion and started our career into, you know, into our own businesses, and things didn't went well. My husband's business went into deep losses, and we were in the debt of over crores. And during that time, SuccessGyan was doing its 8th anniversary event and launching SuccessGyan Academy, the online SuccessGyan. And I got invited for the same. I took a train from Bangalore to Chennai, and during— while this journey, which was one of the toughest journey of my life, I checked my mail. There was the third reminder from the school to pay the fees of my two boys. It was an invoice of 8 lakhs from the fancy IB school they went to. I stood there saying, "I don't have the money." And I cried and I howled, asking myself, "How come things went so bad that I reached this stage in my life?" Because never ever before I'd ever felt the crunch of money. Rich and I attended the event with this, with a heart in my stomach. Every win of people around me was highlighting to me my own failure. How many of you here in the room have felt that, that when those corrodes of numbers you're seeing, it's also highlighting to you as if the life is giving you a tight slap? Ads not working, ConvertKit is so expensive, niche is not getting finalized, and to top it up The family is looking at you and asking you, "When are you going to be stopping all this and start doing some real work?" That night, Siddharth Rajsekar got awarded for his work, and I was sitting right diagonally to him, and I clicked these pictures. Some of you must be wondering, "She looks like she's stalking him." To be honest, I was. That night, I went to my room, I created a folder called "Personal Power 2 Crore" and saved these two pictures in it. And I said, "If that blogging guy from 2016 can do it in 2019, I can also do it." The worst time wasn't still over. March happened, COVID, we hit the lowest revenue ever in Charismatic You. And on this day I said, if I'm not able to generate ₹5 lakhs every single month, I'm quitting this business and going back to my corporate world because I need to survive for my family. Thank God, April 2 lakhs, May 3.4, June just made it to 5.12. Thank you, Godji. If this wouldn't have happened, I wouldn't have been standing here. I must be writing some Java code in some corporate company. I don't even know if that language is still getting used. A year later, I saw this beauty on Instamojo. Literally counting the number of zeros and saying, "Really? I made a crore?" And I want every single one of you to know that we have our eyes on the sky, desires in our heart, dreams in our soul, but then life is giving us a tight slap, saying you cannot have it. I want you all to know we can. Many of you thinking that you planned and you came here, you are placed here, and I'm going to be proving to you by the end of this talk. A month later, I received my first award ever of my life. My two boys were laughing, looking at me, saying, "Really, Mama? First award? What were you doing in school and college?" I told them, "I am not as intelligent as you guys." Fast forwarding, I want you all to know you don't have to be the most intelligent person to make money. You just need to be amazing at what you do. How many of you would want to know how did my plane took off? Here are the 3 things. The number 1, inner work. I realized my inner game wasn't right. Every single thing which I've seen outside was reflection of what's going on inside me. Please set an immovable calendar. Your mood should not be driving your business. As man nahi hai, Webinar cancel karenge? Facebook ka bhi leads nahi de ra hai, 2 hafte baad karenge, Diwali chal rahi hai. In the last few years of doing 500 webinars, I have not cancelled even one single scheduled webinar. Except the time I got COVID. For you to be able to multiply your results, you need to subtract your distractions. The day you start creating more than you consume, you will make money. Learn, implement, teach, repeat. Fast forwarding the same, in Jan 2022, I joined Quantum. I still remember making that call to Siddharth and saying, Siddharth, let's do it. And he said, Shruti, you will make the same amount of money in one day in the next 12 weeks. He was right. 7 days later, I launched my diamond, made 10 lakhs in a day. Okay, this is between you and me, the only thing I had ready when I launched diamond was the dabba, the boxes. Okay, so here are the learnings. What changed? Just one word: energy. Because quantum didn't even start. When you spend, your client spends. I didn't pay that money to Siddharth Rajsekar. I made that energy exchange between me and my desire. And when I showed the desire that my skin is in the game and I started moving towards the desire, the desire started to move towards me. You can use this for your sales webinar. Works very well. The last one, when you move towards the desire, desire moves towards you. And here was the quantum magic. 2 months later, Siddharth sent an audio note and a template in the Quantum WhatsApp group. And it was an audio note saying that we need to do a high-ticket sale through email. I heard that audio note, I said, "Boh, dhacha strategy hai, will not work for me. My community is not like Siddharth's, that main laya and you will buy." And then I was like, "This is not for me." And then Siddharth sends another message after a few minutes, "Every one of you, please do this and show me the raise of hands." Ouch. "Yeh toh karna padega." Call my brother Pallav, who is also co-founder. He is the backbone, he is the director, I am the actor. We sat down at 10 PM, started to write our mail, wrote ₹30,000 to upgrade for 12 weeks in my diamond. Was about to send that mail at 3 AM and saw Siddharth Rajsekar's template once again. He had mentioned ₹1.5 lakh. Removed my ₹30,000, put ₹1.2 lakh, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, sent the prayer, and sent the mail. Slept that day, woke up in the morning, told my husband, Ajit, what Siddharth makes us do. You guys wouldn't have realized it. All the uncomfortable things which he makes us do, none of us are teachers or family members could have made it done. How many of you agree to that? Next morning I woke up, I made my kids sit in next to the laptop and open the client payment sheet and went to the kitchen and told them, if you see the payment, just call me. Few minutes later, a voice came, "Mamma, payment came." And then another one, and then another one, and then another one. I stood in kitchen with tears rolling down my eyes, and this time it wasn't about the number of zeros. This time It was about those souls who trusted in me, who told me that they want me to be in their life, to transform their life. And I want all of you to know you are playing that game for everyone out there. And I made over 14 lakhs of money through sending a high-ticket sale over email. And here are the learnings. Think less, act more. If you have an access to a genius brain, please do not use yours. And if you have an engineer brain like me, phir toh bilkul bhi nahi. Taking a flawed action is better than taking no action. The amount of revenue I was generating in one month I made it in one day by just using the brain of the genius. Please launch Diamond because that's what will fetch you diamond. The people who have paid you once are ready to pay you again. The money is lying on the table. The question is, are you putting your product on that same table? So here are my revenues. I made my first crore in 24 months when I was relying on my engineer brain. Second month in 9 months. The third crore in 6 months. And my final fourth crore in 4 months. Last month, the amount of revenue I generated in one month is double the amount of money I was making in one year as a corporate professional in systems. And here's the thing which I want you all to know right now, doing all of it, what we absolutely love— crying, dancing, learning, unlearning, and growing along with my Charismatic Youth community. Another thing happened this year. I became the first runner-up of Super Speaker Season 1 out of 40,000 people who applied for the same. And I still remember in 2018, one of my friends said, "Kitni Punjabi English hai? Tora seekh lein hai English? Theek se bolakar, kaise daake logon ko padaegi?" How many of us are stuck in all of these chatters which we created or someone created for us? And the beauty is that exactly in March 2018, I entered into the room of coaching industry in Success Gyan. And clicked that picture with a card, holding that card. Exactly 4 years later, on the same month, on the same weekend, I was holding another one. It was all planned, just the way it is planned for every single one of you to be in this room. And here are the action learnings. Perfectionism is a dream stealer. Do not allow the pimple on the face to stop you from creating a video. The men in the room didn't get that one. Don't start when you get good. Start now and you will get good on the way. When I was performing for the finale of Success Gyan in Chennai, my son was performing in his school. When I reached back home, he saw my trophy and said, "Ah!" And I said, "Ayansh, you came first in school?" And he said, "Mama, you came second in India." From falling in my own eyes 2 years ago to rising in the eyes of my son, I call it a true success. Life is a miracle. This picture was clicked exactly at the same place where I'm standing now. From Leela in 2019 to Leela in 2022, it was all planned. I want every single one of you to know every dream that you have dreamt, every single time you saw that zero sales, and yet stood up and took that one more webinar. Every single time people didn't show up in your session and yet you went ahead. Every night you didn't sleep because Mark Bhaiya, Mark Zuckerberg, decided to increase your CPL or shut down your Facebook. I want you all to know that all this struggle is going to be worth it. Because one day, you all are going to be standing here and going to be sharing your story, telling to thousands of people that how you changed millions of lives doing what you love and made crores of money. And then Shruti Can you just tell a little bit about what was the emotion at that point of time? What was going through in your family?

So I come from a family where money was never an issue. And when you're up there and you go down, you don't know what to do because you have never seen that state ever in your life. And I still remember, I know it for a fact that even in this room, there are going to be people, you know, for whom money is extremely important. And I still remember I was sitting in that corner. You were there just in front of me. And like this, I clicked the picture, literally saying, you know, how far he has come. And looking at my own self with a crunch, you know, in the stomach. And I know many of us feel that crunch so many times in our lives, right? Kiyaar, we have to do it. I remember I told this to myself, I have to do it myself and for my family. Family. Because if we do not break free from the habit of our being our older self, it's such an injustice to our own personality, our own existence for that matter.
