Shelton argues that when team members understand why changes are happening and the strategy is clear, change becomes less negatively challenging; effective, consistent communication embeds the change in strategy so everyone is aware and aligned.

So when you have that connection between understanding why we're doing what we're doing and when the strategy is clear, those changes don't become challenging in the same way. Right. They're still challenging, but they're more in a positive way, because this is what we need to do to get where we want to go. And then there's also, again, back to communication. Everybody knows about it because it's part of the strategy.
