Hey, everyone. Welcome to the first episode of the do the Thing podcast. I'm Stacy Lauren, your host. Okay, here's the thing. I recorded the first episode in my car and I wasn't going to share it because the sound quality is bad. But honestly, I'm doing the thing and I really wanted you guys to hear my first expression of what I really want this podcast to be. So I'm not going to re record it. I just wanted to go ahead and introduce you to the first episode and. And explain why the sound quality is bad and why I'm publishing it Anyway, so please listen and enjoy and I'm looking forward to seeing you guys back again as we continue to do the Thing.
Welcome to the do the Thing podcast. My name is Stacey Lauren. So here we go. I'm in my car and I'm purposely recording in my car because it's funny. I've done the thing my whole life, but for some reason with this podcast, it's been the thing that's been preventing me from wanting to do the thing. I don't know if it's nerves of talking to people on recording or I don't like public speaking or whatever the things that I've said in my head have been. But it's funny how easy it is for us to get stuck in our head. And I've been in the the of middle. Middle of writing this book called do the Thing because I always do the thing. And I was told by the editor it'd be really great if I got interviews of people who also do the.
Thing to see if they followed the.
Same formula as me or they had different formulas for them doing the thing. And then pretty much I was like, well, if I'm going to be doing these interviews, I would like to also have them be able to be on a podcast.
So this is something I had thought about back in August, and it is.
Now February and I'm finally moving forward. It's been great because the person who created the app that I'm recording the podcast on is pretty.
It's in the beginning stages of the app and so he's been talking to.
Me and helping me, like kind of through it and then also helping me with some of my mental blocks. So thank you, Adam, for that. And it's been kind of. What is that? Synchronicity, you know, in that the thing that I've been holding back on is.
Actually the do the Thing podcast. So I think people have been sort of put in my. In my life to get this to.
Go out because I do really believe.
100% from every part of me that everyone has the capacity to be able to do the things that they want and not to be held back by the mental. The mental baggage that's in our head that we want to push through. So, anyway, I hope you guys enjoy listening to this podcast. Every day I'm meeting new people that I'm like, oh man, you are going to be amazing to be on this. And then I have an existing group of people that in my life that I also want to interview. So definitely plan on some really fun and interesting conversations. It's not going to be professionally edited or anything crazy.
I had originally thought I might do that, but then I think one of the things about doing the thing is.
To keep it simple.
And so I'm going to do that with this podcast. So hopefully you'll like the authenticity of it and you'll appreciate it and not. And not make fun of that part.
But because doing the thing doesn't mean the thing is perfect. Doing the thing means that you're doing the thing. So. Alright, how many times can I say do the thing? Okay, well, here we go. Enjoy the podcast. Bye.
Sa.
