I do really believe 100% from every part of me that everyone has the capacity to be able to do the things that they want and not to be held back by the mental baggage that's in our head that we want to push through.
Welcome to the do the Thing podcast. In each episode, we get down and personal with people who go after the things they want to make all their wildest dreams come true. Join us as we unveil and dissect a formula for what it takes to do the thing. Here is your host, Stacy Lauren.
Hey, everyone. Welcome to the do the Thing podcast. This is your host, Stacy Lauren. Oh, my gosh, you guys. Okay, here's the thing. I love Doing the Thing because I get to meet the coolest people while I'm doing it. I've been talking about turning do the Thing into a business probably for the last few months, and I was stuck because I didn't want to take the joy out of what I love doing with do the Thing. And so it took me a while to figure out the direction I wanted to go. And then I ended up finding this program, and they were having this live event in Texas, and I was like, you know what? I think I just need to go to this live event, get some clarity, and see what I want to do. But what I didn't expect was that I was going to meet all of these incredible people and then get so much clarity into what I'm doing now to be able to turn do the Thing into a business. And so I wanted to bring them on, and we could all basically just kind of talk about where we're at, why we decided to go to this thing, what our plans are for the future, and pretty much what we're doing. And so I am so excited to welcome you guys to the do the Thing podcast.
Hi. Hello. Say hi.
Okay, I'd love to have you guys just introduce yourselves and then why you went to the event and what you're doing now. So why don't we start with Will?
Hi, my name is Will, and I went to the event because I've been trying to get my business kicked off for a while now, and it's just really was really hard to get clarity on exactly where to start and exactly how to get that momentum that I needed to get things kickstarted. So I went to the event, and it turned out to be absolutely amazing, beyond my expectations, get to meet a whole bunch of people and get to network with people and get some real clarity on specifically how to bring my offer to the Market. So that's why I went. And it was just so much more than I expected it to be.
Yeah. When you say so much more than you expected, what do you mean?
Just the networking and the excitement in the room, the encouragement, and just being in that environment just started sparking all kinds of new ideas and new avenues I could take to get my program to the market.
Okay, Mariana, you're up.
Hey there. I'm Mariana Heninger. I'm founder and CEO of Brand Magnetic and I help entrepreneurs build trust faster, convert more quickly, sell more, do it with ease, have an awesome time doing it. Because they're connecting emotionally with their audience with one single two to four minute brand video. So the ending is kind of the nugget there, which is I help folks create a brand video that builds that emotional connection. And my background is in documentary filmmaking. I'm so absolutely passionate about really personal, intimate storytelling. And I'm equally obsessed with marketing and sales. So I've been able to combine the two. Yeah. And so the reason I chose to go to that event was because as much as I love having one on one conversations with folks, I'm really at a point where I'm ready to scale my business. And so the idea of doing that in a sort of masterclass setting, in a setting where I'm teaching folks. So there's a lot of immersion that leads to conversion. And essentially doing that following a really valuable session that I can have with new people or with people in my audience and then presenting them. My program is something that really appeals to me. So essentially selling one to many in a much more scalable way than getting on the phone with each and every person, which I still love to do, but I want to kind of grow my business a bit faster. So that was what drew me to the program. I'm also really in love with the person who led the program in the sense that I think she's an awesome speaker and I tend to talk really fast and get really excited. And she's calm and confident and kind of is the other end of the spectrum, but still a very powerful speaker. And so that also is what drew me to her.
Yeah. And I love that. And just so everyone knows it's. So it's part of Eileen Wilder and then her husband Harrison. They work together and they were pastors in a church for 20 years. And it was so cool because it shows you how your past experience, even when you leave it, you take that with you, take those skills with you because they're new in this space. But we all learned so much from them because they have that experience from being in the church, and then they were able to take it and put.
It into this program.
And I think that's also kind of just a beautiful, beautiful shining light of how we can each use our past experience to really kind of shape whatever we want to do in the future.
Yeah, no, absolutely.
And just so you guys know, I got really lucky with Mariana because I got to sit next to her when she was talking to the copywriting person during the event. And I feel like I got a private coaching call just by absorbing in her energy. And it's really cool the work that you're doing.
So.
Okay, Sarah, you're up.
Hey, everybody. So I'm Sarah Moses, and my background is in life coaching, mindset coaching, and recently have gotten into speaking, and I help people speak to monetize. So I decided to go to Eileen's event because, first of all, I'm a huge fan of hers. I've learned a ton from her in the last six months. And in the last 18 months, I have really spent a lot of money investing in myself, going to events, having mentors, and I encourage anybody out there to do that. I have watched my confidence and my whole growth in my business since I started investing in myself and investing in mentors and coaches and programs. What happened was when I got there, I. Well, I had gone there to get help on a high ticket offer versus I knew how to put together a smaller offer. But what happened was meeting the group there and hearing you specifically talk about the power of community, it was as if the magic light went on. Because the community of people that I met there, I've been impacted by all of us who were there, and we're all sort of helping each other, supporting each other, and I think that's another sort of pillar. Right. If you're trying to grow your business. One, invest in yourself, find good mentors, but be part of a really supportive, strong community. So I just can't say enough about it. And I thank you for inviting me into this community that you're growing and building.
Yeah. And you just started a podcast.
I just started the Do it now.
Podcast thanks to you.
I'm so excited, and it's amazing how I've been wanting to do that for probably eight months. And then I met you, and then I did it like three days later.
So easy.
You did it?
Yeah. That's. That's incredible. Congrats, Sarah.
Thank you.
It's so cool. And I think you're right because that idea of when you surround yourself with people that are wanting the same thing as you and you're able to get in that synergy and it almost makes you feel, I don't know if less scared, but more courageous to be able to do whatever it is you want to do. Because you're seeing all these people that are doing it too.
Absolutely. And it feels so safe. When you're in a supportive community. You can bounce ideas off people, you can try things. It doesn't matter if you fail, because you're in a supportive group of people and you maybe try things you wouldn't. I mean, look at, I literally had wanted to do a podcast for eight months, and then I talked to you about it and you're just like, just do it.
And I'm like, okay. It's awesome. I love it. Okay, sue, we're just going around and just saying why we went to the event, and then what we're doing now, basically.
All right, amazing. So my name is sue, and the reason why I feel like I went to the event was for two things. One, to craft amazing offers, like really high end, high ticket offers. The second reason was to get better as a speaker. But I feel like something that I actually gained was I went into the workshop with an expectation to become a better speaker, but I actually got something unexpected, which was the sales pitching. So getting better at sales pitching, which I feel like that was definitely what I would call a God moment. Because I was like, okay, God, you're calling me into being a speaker, so you better give me the tools to do that. But what I have found is, you know, honestly, I have been speaking literally my entire life, and I actually didn't need more of that skill of speaking skill. What I actually needed more of was a sales pitching skill that I didn't even realize that I needed. And so I feel like that was a full circle moment with God where he's like, I'm going to give you what you actually need, not what you actually think you need. So that was great. But those are, I would say, the two reasons why I went. What am I doing right now? I'm also launching podcasts. I ended my previous one. Beginning of this year. So the beginning of next year, I'm launching a new podcast. It's called Making a Million. And this is going to be just interviewing people who are making hundreds of thousand dollars or millions of dollars and just really getting one. The real life journey, entrepreneurial journey of where were all the mess ups? I remember I had a launch and on the outside it looked amazing. Okay. But on the inside, we got zero clients from that launch. And I was like, those stories that I want to be telling because people are like, oh, yeah, this person making millions of dollars. But at one time, they kind of sucked. And that's okay, right? You kind of have to select before you get better. And so I'm really hoping to bring out these real stories, these real challenges, and then also real strategies that people can implement now to start making hundreds of thousands of dollars or to make a million. So that's something that I'm working on right now, besides my normal everyday coaching stuff.
Look what we get to do. How cool is that? So, so cool.
I'll do a quick, quick plug for my podcast as well. It's funny, it's my baby that I always forget to mention. I feel like a terrible mom. And then. And then when people just last week, like four. Four different people, random people, were like, I love. I'm loving your podcast. And I'm like, oh, my gosh, people are actually listening to this thing because I literally do it kind of for myself. So it's called Empire Secrets. And the purpose of the podcast is to document my journey as I'm building the empire, but also bring on folks that, similar to what you've described, is like folks that have built an empire or are in the process of building an empire and can share sort of the secrets that they've been using to do that. But thank you so much for letting me talk about it because there's so much that I love talking about. I was like, oh, shoot, I'm also a podcast host.
Isn't that great? I love that too. About this podcast, it's kind of this door opener to a lot of things, to activating your voice, to getting to meet whoever you want. And then also it has that one of my community members that I helped start a podcast, she said it was like her self care. And I love that. Yeah. Because it is, right? It's so nourishing to be able to just have the space where you have this intentional time to connect with people. Like what we're doing right now.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Yeah. All right, Randy. So as you guys know, Randy is my cousin and she is also.
She's dancing right now for whoever's not watching.
So it's funny. We got to invite someone. It was so cool. And I wasn't sure if she was going to go until two days before. I get so worried sometimes because I'm do the thing and I have to be messy and Go. And I just wanted to make sure my clarity was really good. And oh, my God, it was so great. She was like the mama bear, I think, of the group, because she's a full stack developer and she actually owns a business where she's like a fractional CTO for Do the Thing. And she works with a lot of other companies and helps them with the tech side. So I think you got a lot of insight just from what held people back in terms of being able to move. I'd love to just have you introduce yourself and just kind of share where you're at right now.
So I'm Randy. As everyone knows, I love being here. I love every one of you guys. This was so amazing. This was a really good experience for me, first of all, because it took me three days to decompress and process everything that I absorbed through everybody's energy. That being said, this is not my first rodeo. Going to live events and being around people that teach other people how to do things. The one thing that I loved more so than anything else is my motto is I only help people that help others. So if you're not making an impact on the world, I'm sorry, I love you, but I can't work with you. And because I really want to do something good in the world and help those that want to do good in the world do good and help them. Being a full stack developer and a strategist and efficiency architect, I have an innate ability to look at things from a holistic with a W. And I use that a lot. But I invented it before people even started talking about the W. I have a really easy way of looking things the bigger picture, not the little things that hold you back, but looking at what's the goal, what's the strategist, and what we're going to get you to go there. Because there's so many different types of technologies out there. But what are your goals? We don't want to match your goals to technology. I want to find the best technology that will help you accomplish your goals. So it all starts with strategic in the beginning and what you want to do. And that's where I roll. And Stacy's a creative and an amazing everything. And I'm just allowing her to explore and making all her dreams happen because she's lucky she has me. No, I'm just joking. But seriously, she can actually go and explore and try this and try that and try this and try that. And I'm so glad she met Eileen and all of you because since she Started this. I think the direction went from everywhere to this. And the one thing that we preach about in the do the thing community is the community aspect of it. And you guys rely so you understand how important it was. Wasn't it great to see everybody's energy and collaborate and be able to do that? That's what a community does. And not only are you building a.
Safe place in a community, but you.
Can use each other to do things and then you can use your community to do things. So the whole idea of not doing a community or audience building type offer for Stacy was not in the cards for me. Because it's everything that she did. And I'm sure you saw that when she went up on stage. It was awesome. All of you are awesome. But to see that clarity in her because we've been working on this for quite a while, really got my heart and I really do. Every one of you amazing people, I'm so honored to be here in this space.
Thank you.
Yeah. And it was funny, Randy. After I was like, you know what? You should do your own offer. Because I really wanted her. I want it because I mean, she's so needed for people in terms of the tech side because that bottlenecks a lot of people. So stay tuned, we'll see what happens with that. But I wanted to just kind of talk about. Cause I love this space because I have so many ideas spinning in my head right now. I mean, I have clarity, but I'm so excited about what's going on. I was actually coming into this. I don't know. Did you guys all get that call with Jackie? So we had an intensive call before the event. And so just so the people listening know Jackie Lacroix, she was able to do this hour and a half intensive with us, which basically helped kind of get clarity before the event. I'd love to kind of just hear what you guys felt about that call and how it helped you get ready. William, do you want to start?
Sure. Yeah. My intensive with Jackie was amazing because I thought it was going to go one direction and she just totally turned it and went a different direction with it and gave me a lot of insight on how to focus my message better so that I could could actually attract the attention of my ideal customer, my ideal client avatar. And I was kind of just scattered all over the place for probably six months, just trying to get my message out there all over the place, but not really directed. And after my meeting with Jackie, I was able to really direct it and get focus. That was awesome.
What do you think that she did that, helped do that so well?
She asked the right questions. She just asked me a lot of different questions about what I had done before and why and what I thought my actual offer was, and then was able to just drill right down and pinpoint the focus that I needed to have.
And how about for you, Sarah?
It was a wonderful meeting and she is a very dynamic person. I love what a strong woman she is, and so is Eileen. It's really wonderful to see leaders like that. And she was helpful to me in that I come from a place where I thought I was going to be selling an offer that had to do with overcoming grief and trauma. That's where I first started. Then sort of moved towards mindset. She sort of moved me towards empowering women. And now I've moved even more through Eileen to more of a business situation because of wanting to monetize quickly. And I think the work I did with Eileen I will return to. I will definitely have that offer. But right now I'm going to move to something that I don't know if it just feels a little safer to me and that it's purely business, how to monetize by improving your communication. You're speaking on stage or in the boardroom, but we really fleshed out some great ideas. And in fact, you guys, today I got confirmation from her that we're going to do January 20th and 21st in Los Angeles. So she reached out to me and committed. That felt so good to me because I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I was wondering if they were just saying yes because, oh, we'll just say yes. But when it really comes down to it, oh, sorry, we're not available.
Funny how we.
I don't know, I always have that little imposter syndrome thing, like, oh, did.
They really mean it?
And so I kind of left her alone and she reached out to me today and said, hey, let's commit on a date, and here's the date.
So I felt like I remembered that. So are they coming to the event to do something or what is that?
So it was recommended to me because I'm an unknown. I actually like to use the term I'm the best kept secret or something like that. But nothing was about me. So I was told that I should JV with people and act more as a producer and invite them to be part of my offer so that they can help get in the door, in the seats. So Jackie was. That first day when we had that meeting, she and I talked and she mentioned she'd be interested and I said, okay, cool. And then my offer changed and she's still interested, so she's gonna LA. I hope all you guys can come to LA.
Oh yeah, I would love to.
1-20-21.
Amazing. Well, we'll have to talk more about that. I'm really excited to hear and I love that you have the date crystallized. How about for you, Mariana? As far as Jackie.
Yeah, I thought Jackie was incredible. I was so happy to meet her through the program. Every word that came out of that woman's mouth. So Jackie Lacroix, for those that are listening. L A C R O I X. Phenomenal, brilliant woman. She is so knowledgeable in positioning and messaging in a really elevated, sophisticated, powerful way. My session with her was a lot around my messaging and positioning for brand videos and how so she had one of the. I was actually kind of. If anyone's watching, I'm not sure if you do a video or not, but I was poking around looking for my notes from the call. But the thing that kind of stuck with me from our session together was that she saw the brand video as a tool that would speak to entrepreneurs that are kind of at the six figure level and want to reach the seven. And so she kind of encouraged me to use that sort of messaging and really it helped me to. I've been really thinking about what messaging I'm using because a brand video is useful for anyone in business and it's also useful for any moment where you are in business. But because my offer is a done for you sort of high end offer, it's kind of important that I attract folks that are a little bit more advanced in business. And I've been thinking about how to do that in a more clear way, how to make sure I'm talking to the right people. And so the idea of targeting the folks that want to use the brand video as this sort of really elevation tool for their brand as well as it's still a conversion tool, you're still connecting with your audience emotionally. It's still powerful regardless of where you are in business. But the idea that it's also elevating the impression that folks have of you. And so one thing that Eileen talks about, which I haven't heard anybody really use this term, but the idea of going pro, which is like that.
That was.
Right.
That was amazing, right? Talking about that this morning. But yeah, yeah.
So I think it's such a simple concept that we tend to kind of overlook or think, okay, I get it. But when you really think about what it means to go pro. It actually impacts the way that you do everything. It impacts the way that you show up. And so the idea that you're being intentional about how you're showing up is a more advanced thing for your business. Right. So I almost don't want to go too much into the rabbit hole because if people are here to do the thing, they should do the thing and do it imperfect and keep taking action and keep moving forward. But I do believe there comes a time when your business where you're able to bring a bit more energy and intention to how you're doing the thing. And so this is where I really believe that the brand video, essentially I can position myself with my offer as the thing that will help you do that in a very obvious way. She was like, this is an obvious representation of going pro. And I was like, yes, yes, it is, Jackie. You got it.
I love that.
So anyways, Jackie is a total rock star. I also think she's a really amazing, well kept secret. And so the other thing I'll just say about her, that came from the talk that she gave in Houston. This one little nugget that I think has changed my life. It's. It's so funny, right? You really go through life and business putting yourself in the right places. Because sometimes it's just that one thing that you hear that's gonna make a massive difference. And so anyway, so there's this nugget that she shared. I actually wanna go back and rewatch that entire talk that she gave. But the one nugget that I can share here very quickly is she said the idea of walking into a room and telling yourself, I own this place and my family has owned this for generations. And I was like, that is amazing. But the rest of that talk is about how that's not coming from a place of arrogance, but just a place of, oh, man, I wish I could remember, maybe you guys remember the word that she used. But it really is the opposite of arrogance because it's also combined with love for everyone around you and the willingness and desire to serve everyone around. So you're. Yes, you're coming in like you own the place, but you also have a love for everyone there. So that's where the humility sort of comes in as well. It's not from a place of domination and arrogance. It's just from a place of confidence, of this is my territory because I'm here again in love and willingness to. Yes.
Right. Yeah.
How can I serve you? Welcome to My home.
And how about for you, too?
I definitely agree. I feel like Jackie is a rock star. I feel like I love everything that she talks about, and she also talks about everything that her knowledge and expertise from such a place of confidence, which makes everything that she says sound even better, right? Because she's just so confident. She's like, 100%, this is it.
Right?
So I think for me personally, it was really beneficial because I had done a masterclass for our masterclass before the workshop, and so it was amazing to have her feedback on my offer even before I did the masterclass. So that was really helpful. And then also just kind of clearly defining my brand and really my image because I've been wanting to kind of shift that. And I think the two things that we were kind of talking about is one, relatability, but then also aspirational, right? And I was like, okay, I need to figure out my fine balance between being really aspirational. But then when people see me, I also want them to feel like it's relatable and not just like, I'm this high level woman that we can't touch, right? So I was like, okay, I want to find that balance. And so that was really helpful in getting just her perspective on being aspirational and relatable at the same time. And just kind of going back with what Mariana said at the workshop and how she was talking about, we own this place. I always just anchor back to my identity of who am I? And I'm like, yeah, if my dad is the king of this place, I am the daughter of the king, right? And so I literally own this as my inheritance. And also it's like, cool if my dad is a good king, that I'm also a good daughter, right? So that means I'm not like you guys said, I'm not going to be arrogant, I'm not going to be spoiled. No, it's just I just own the place. And as a good daughter, I'm there to serve the people, right. I think about my own home. When people come to my home, I'm not like, well, this is my fancy house, so don't touch anything. It's like, no, I'm here to serve you guys. I'm so glad you guys are here. And so I, yeah, I totally. When you were talking about that, I was like, that is the one thing that I was like, 100%. That's where our identity is. We are sons and daughters of God, and that gives us some kind of authority. And it also gives us a Sense of responsibility to show up in that way for other people that we're meant to serve. And so, yeah, I just love Jackie. I think that that intensive was so valuable.
And here's why I think it's important and why I'm glad that you each were able to speak about it is because we had just invested the money, right? And you get those fears and those insecurities that come up of, oh, my God, what did I just do? And is this gonna be good? Is it gonna work out? And I don't know if this is the case for you, but I'm totally just saying what happened with me at that moment. And then you get this call, and all of a sudden you're like, okay, I'm in the right place, right? At least for that moment, you're feeling more confident with your decision. And especially there's people listening that are wanting to do something like what you're all doing right now, and they're stuck or they're scared, or they're feeling just not ready. And to know that you could be Jackie, right, And be that voice to help unlock and give them that piece of confidence that they can move, I mean, that just blows my mind. I get chills right now just thinking about you could be that person. And so I think that really stands out. And I know for Jackie, for me, I mean, Randy and I talked about it for a long time, but just how much clarity I got just in that time. And I think what she really did was I. Eileen says it, too, where I felt like she believed in what I was doing, and that gave me the belief to keep going. And it kind of just felt like I was in the right place.
I didn't go through the whole. Everything that you did, but I went through it with Stacy, and then I got to see it in real time, obviously in IRL finally, right? But what was really interesting to me was everyone that was there, because we got to see those. Everybody row in three days. In three days. People were scared. And then all of a sudden, people were talking, and I'm like, well, I'm not done with this offer, and I don't know what I'm doing here. But we all work together to get us through those scary points and give each other advice. You were naked on stage. You know what I mean? Some people have never spoken before, and they were speaking amazingly when they were ripping during the photography. People were just, wait a minute. That needs to be in your. Your little offer. You know, that's awesome stuff. And I really think going Back to a little bit of what we do. Just on a side note, which I think everybody knows we were doing exactly in that program during that time, the 30 odd people that were there, we were doing exactly what we do in our community. We were all helping each other and then forming network partners as well. It was like, you want to do this? Okay, I'm good at this. I'm going to get you to do what you're scared to do, or get you to do what you've already aspired to do, but just didn't have that little to get you. Unstuck is the word that I use a lot. Little baby things, just to know that somebody's there. Like, Marianne and I were like, when we were in front of the, you know, the copywriter, and I was like, she's helping us, we're helping. It was so good. And when we were in our little circles, we were all helping each other. And that was just such a beautiful thing to see, just to know that you could smile at a stranger that you just saw that you just met and then you feel so close to them. Because the shared experience, that's what I liked about it.
So I just love that. And Sarah really said it for me. And I think I've mentioned this like seven times. Sarah. But yeah, Sarah posted in the group. Right. I think it was the day before. Do you remember what it was? Do you mind resharing it?
I think I was reaching out there and I was like, is anyone else feeling.
I don't know if I said imposter.
Syndrome, but is anyone else feeling a little nervous about their offer?
A little.
Because it had seemed sort of very quiet. And I am definitely a person who likes to work in community and hear how others are doing and also sort of cheer others on. Right. So maybe I was looking for that. I just wanted to know, how's everyone feeling out there? And then you were so great. You responded right away.
Yeah.
And I've responded not even as a cheerleader, but I was responded as, oh, my God, thank God you just said this, because I'm feeling that way too, because I kept trying to talk myself out of the whole thing. And I think that's just what's great, is when you're able to be open and vulnerable and then you see other people are doing it too and you feel not alone.
I just want to say something to tie back to when you were talking about Jackie helping us and when she spoke about us being the owners and then how to be confident without being arrogant, because I Think this might help.
A lot of the.
The people listening today was that I had to reframe not caring what other people thought. I used to really care what other people thought. And that could stop me from doing things right because I'd feel, oh, I'm going to put myself out there. What if I fail? What will other people think? So to find a place where I could not care what other people think, but still care about them and still care about their growth and still care about helping them so that I wasn't coming from a place of. Well, I don't. I don't care what you think. So I'm just gonna. You know what I mean? But coming from a place, I don't care what you think because that would limit my growth. But I'm gonna really care about you as a person. And I don't know if anyone else has felt that way.
Totally. I think that was part of what I went through before was. And I think Randy said it with the naked on stage is just being able to just completely let go of what you're doing, what other people think you're supposed to do, or what you think you're supposed to do, and just being able to follow your own light and your own inner wisdom and then having still this deep love for people regardless of what they think. And I think there's just so much power in that because that's when the true you really is able to express itself. Absolutely. I would love to hear about your offer. So Sarah has the date. You want to just talk about the event and what you're planning on doing.
And you know me, I'm always still.
Working on my offer, right down to the wire.
I actually had some help last night from my other mentor, and he was talking about the fact that I really should be using the name Moses. And he's not the first person who said that. And sort of the Moses 10 commandments. And we were kind of riffing on it, the ten Commandments of communication. And just really maybe getting away from the name I came up with at the event, which was the pro pitch, maybe pitch not being the right thing, since I do want to help business communicators and stage presenters. And so we've got our three days. I'm still working on the price. I'm curious if any of you have been sort of doing that little bit of backpedaling where I'll get to a high price. Yes, I know the value.
And then I'm like, well, maybe I.
Should lower it a little bit.
Anyone else I think of crypto video.
$3,000 she saw she was raising her price at Own it, because you know what you're giving is value and don't undervalue yourself. Just like we're kingdom minded or we own the place. Own the value of what you're giving and really believe in it. Because if you believe in it, then you're worth it. Everybody's been backpedaling, but we have to realize what you're offering is probably so unique and so valuable to somebody that they don't know yet.
So, yeah, I've been doing the same thing, but I think where I've landed and I'm still not sure. So we'll see. I'm recording it now, so we'll see what happens when I listen back. But I think when I go at the higher price, then that allows me to be able to give even more value. I keep meeting people. I ended up getting my podcast studio. We're going to do musical podcast interviews one day. And what else? Oh, we're going to have them do. Actually, I got it from Will's LinkedIn video, so everyone should look at that. For sure. It was a call to action kind of elevator pitch video. I'm like, oh, I could have them record those. And so all the stuff that's normally painful, I'll be able to help them do. And then eventually I'm hoping I can transition and Mariana can work together and she could do a branded video for them. I think the higher it is, the more you can give, I guess is my point. So I think that's why I keep trying to get myself to say, what do you want to do at the event? Do you have any idea yet what it's going to be?
Yes, it'll be the same thing. Working on people's presentation skills on stage, helping them with a physical makeover, clothing, hair. I think when you feel good and you feel confident, you communicate in a completely different way. We're going to have a vocal coach there. I've added that on and talking a lot about mindset. I truly believe people, wherever they are, whatever they're doing, they speak in a completely different way if they're in the right mindset. And perfect example is when I'm on stage, I stopped ever thinking about myself, ever. I'm completely consumed with connecting with, even if it's just one person in the audience, if one person gets something from what I said, then I'm happy.
It's a win.
How about for you, Mariana? What's your plan now with your offer. You have an idea of what it's going to be and dates and all that stuff.
Yeah. So I'm focused on right now masterclasses I am building. I'm calling it a master shop because it's a hybrid masterclass workshop. I don't know. Okay. I'm getting good reactions because I'm like, does this sound completely stupid? And people are like, what is this girl saying? Or does it make sense? Because I really. It is a teaching opportunity, but it's very much. You're going to walk away with the blueprint of your story workshop. So that's the program, if you will, the master shop that I'm preparing. And between now and the end of the year, my goal is to sell the next 20 spots for my program, Brand Video Elite. But an idea that came from our time in Houston was the idea of bringing people together in this space to film their brand videos in two days. Kind of an intensive. And originally, it's kind of like when you hear an idea out of left field, you're like, I don't know. I'm seeing all the things that essentially in my mind, I'm like, oh, my gosh, an ugly hotel conference room. This is very boring. There's nothing compelling about this. I still need a cinematographer for each person. And then I remember walking off on the stage of, like, everything is figureoutable. I'll attribute that to Marie Forleo. But this idea that, hmm, let me not throw this idea away. Let me marinate on this a little bit. And what came out of it, still in Houston, I think just a few hours later, after talking to some folks, was like, oh, my gosh, I could rent this really gorgeous Airbnb, this really gorgeous location where all of a sudden I'm eliminating all of these things that are kind of challenges. If you live in Minnesota, we're not going to film your brand video in December because there's going to be snow outside, and nobody wants to be outside in the snow. We typically would want trees or we want things to be alive and beautiful around you. But if we are going to a place that's warm in the south of the country to film your brand video and get it done, we also have a house that is very beautiful that we can film all these sorts of scenes in. Your kids are not around, your dog's not barking in the background, your husband's not in the way, God bless him. But all of these things that could be challenges that are kind of challenges that we overcome when we film the Brand video in Your location all of a sudden are gone. And so I went into a lot of detail there. But that's just to say that's coming for 20, 24. For right now, I'm selling kind of what I'm doing right now, which is the brand videos filmed in your location or in a location of your choice. But coming next year, I really want to explore the idea of having it, as, I guess you would call it an event, just because that's the language that we're using. But the idea of bringing folks to one place, small group, three, four people, but having it done sort of in this environment, and then obviously with that comes this amazing, beautiful component of the community which you guys all love and share about.
So, yeah, I love how you at first were kind of rejecting the idea on stage because you're in the moment and like you said, and then as soon as you get off, you're starting to get space from that. And then that's when all of a sudden it starts to open up where your mind expands and you're able to see what's possible.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It'll be closed off to new ideas.
Okay, so your turn.
Okay. Before I go into my offer, I would love to just kind of share a few things. Coaching, not just for Mariana and Sarah, but also for the audience. And so when a new idea is presented to you, our primitive brain just immediately wants to make it complex and hard. And so a beautiful question I always tell my. My clients to ask themselves is, what if this was easy, right? If it was easy to do that event, then your brain starts being like, oh, yeah, I would just do this and do this, and then all the answers start coming. So whenever you're feeling overwhelmed or it's too complicated, just ask yourself if this was easy or if this was simple, how would that look like? And then, Sarah, something about the value and the price. So when I teach my clients how to price things according to the value, an amazing exercise, super simple. Is just asking yourself this question of how is this event? Right. How's this event three day valuable to my audience? Why do they even want to come? And then when you start looking at all the reasons why it would be valuable to their life or to their business, and then you start seeing, oh, my gosh, this is absolutely worth 10k, 25k, right? And so this goes into, like, my offers, I am charging 25k, but they only have to pay 10k upfront. And my offer is called 100k business in weekend. So for me, I'm like, You're only paying me 10k to make a hundred k. That is 100% worth the value.
Right?
And so even at my masterclass, my masterclass is going to be Saturday, November 4th. My live event is going to be January. And for me at the masterclass, what I'm thinking of doing is having people do a donation to one of my organizations that I'm really passionate about and saying, hey, at the end of the masterclass, I'm going to pick one winner from the giveaway and I'm going to give you 10x literally cash, what you donated. So if you donate $10, I'm going to give you 100 bucks. If you donate 100 bucks, I'm going to give you $1,000 gift card. So one winner is going to win that and that's going to really price anchor in when I go and say, hey, my offer is 10k paid right now to come to the live workshop and you're going to have a 100k business. Right? That would be amazing to be like, cool. I'm going to donate $10, get $100. Oh, yeah. If I pay Sue $10,000, I'm going to get 100k business. And so that's my event can be happening in January. My masterclass is in November.
And where is your event going to be?
So I just said it's going to be in a mansion in Los Angeles or Southern California right now. So I think it's going to depend on how many people we get and then also kind of where people want to have it. But it's going to be at a mansion. You get to come, you get to start and scale your business, whether you're starting business or you're taking your business just to new levels.
So I know you're, you've got to go, but can you share where people can find out about you so they can follow along?
Yes. The best place is going to be on Instagram. My handle is going to be X as X ray. So X U E B R A V O Underscore. Sue. Bravo, underscore.
Thank you for joining and thank you for the what if this was easy Reframe. I love that.
Yeah, that's awesome.
Awesome. Okay, well, you're up.
So I did actually set a date for October 28th for a. I don't know if I'm going to do the four hour masterclass at that point or more of a ticket sales kind of thing to get into the masterclass, but I'm going to do something live on Zoom. The 28th of this month. So 10 more days. So I've got to figure all that out. But I am pushing forward and gaining clarity on exactly what I need to put in the videos that are going to go on my website, where they're going to send them. And so how that's going to work out. My price point stayed the same. I think I am going to maybe bump it up a little bit and then do what Elijah was telling us about, collecting half of it up front and collecting the other half on the other end, because that's, in my opinion, that just makes it seem like it shows them the value is there because you're willing to only take half of it now and half of it later. And I think that's something good for all of us to think about on that end, is it opens up their mind to say, this has gotta be well worth me giving him half now, because I don't have to pay the other half until they actually deliver on what they promise and I get this result, whatever that result is. And so I think that it's a much better way to position it to where it shows the value up front and you're able to get the price that you actually need to charge in order to get their attention, in order to get them to act on it, and in order to make the kind of money that you need to make to deliver them at a higher level.
What are you going to be helping people do during the masterclass?
That's what I was trying to break down, what parts the masterclass and what parts the delivery. So my masterclass will be basically going through the reason that they need to look at their marketing system, because I see so many other. What do you want to call them? Gurus or marketing specialists or whatever you want to call them out there. Pitching. They're all pitching. Let me create a better ad for you and you throw a bunch of money at it, and then we'll see if it works or not. And if it doesn't work, we'll throw some more money at it and change it a little bit, Throw some more money at it until it does work. And we're going to guarantee that you're going to get this huge ROI. But if you get an ROI, that's just 2 to 1, you put 10,000 in, you get 20,000 out. What people are not realizing is that their marketing system is not optimized. It's like putting rocket fuel into a car that's only running on two cylinders. The rocket fuel may make those two cylinders run A little bit better, but you're not going to get the result that you should get. You go in, you get the engine tuned up and running perfectly. Right. Then when you add the rocket fuel, then you get a rocket burst of power and momentum in your marketing system. So the masterclass will be bringing that to their mind so that they're not just out there chasing ads, inducing more spending on ads, worrying about their roas and instead learn to worry about their customer value. So get the marketing system optimized to where when they put a dollar in ad spend at the end, after they get everything optimized and they dump that rocket fuel in there, that they actually get what they need to get out of that to make big money instead of just increase their revenues a little bit here and there.
Incredible. That sounds like it's going to be immensely transformative to a business, that's for sure.
Absolutely. Yeah.
Sarah, did you want to let everyone know how they can follow along with you before you hop on?
Yes. My Instagram is therealsaramosis and it's S A R A Moses M O S E S Parting of the red seas. Can't forget that. And I thank you so much for having me on here today. And I will be inviting you as my hopefully first guest on Do It New.
I can't wait.
I can't wait to do it now. Thank you so much for joining. Sarah. Nice to see you, Sarah.
Sarah, good to see you.
And so it's funny, Randy and I kept hearing at the event because I, as you guys know, I kept wanting to do a community offer to help build a community and no one understood what I was saying. And so I kept hearing audience, audience. And so ours is going to be. It's audience acceleration. And I'm actually taking a page from Mariana with changing the name of of Masterclass. It's actually called Action Class. Cause it we're going to be doing the thing together. And that's going to be October 27th. We're doing it. And then I'm going to be then selling the live event, which I've already booked. It's in Coronado and it's going to be January 31st to February 2nd. It's exciting because when you book the date, all of a sudden you get to meet all the people that you need to meet and you get to see all the things you need to see. And everything's just coming really alive right now. And I'm just loving it. I actually had another offer I was going to pitch on Sunday for my Singles group. It was going to be dating with confidence, but I decided not to. I'm going to put them in the final your voice paid challenge, which is just a smaller ticket item. And that way I could focus completely on the audience one because it's just getting so much traction. So it's exciting because we're kind of doing the thing together, right, all of us. And then you get to see what is really coming alive. Well, I'd love to hear you guys parting words for the listener in terms of just something that could really help them do the thing. What would be your number one piece of advice?
I've been thinking a lot about this because I personally don't struggle with taking action and I feel like I've gotten over it. And the things that I have such little patience for hesitation now because that messaging of doing it now has been ingrained in my soul. And so if that has not been the case for you yet, fellow listener to this podcast, what I would suggest is become married to the vision that you want for your life. And the stronger that is for you, the more you can realize that anything that's keeping you from taking action is just delaying that dream. And so I think if you're not taking action because you're hesitating about imposter syndrome, you're hesitating about what are people going to think. You're hesitating about all of these things that we put in our way, even the shiny objects or hesitations to getting it done, then you're not anchored enough in what you actually want for your life. And I think grasping how little time we have on this earth. My struggle, quick 2 second therapy thing is that I sometimes am a little bit more on the everything is too urgent level. But if don't go there but grasping how finite our time is to make a difference, to live the things that we wanna live, to embrace the life that we were meant to have, understanding that it's not always going to be there for you and that you actually need to go and get it and nobody's going to hand it to you, to me is the biggest propeller for getting it done. And so if you're having trouble getting it done and getting it done now because you're putting way too many barriers in the way and you're not figuring it out in order to get it done, like everything, everything is figureoutable, then it's in my mind because you haven't anchored yourself to owning the thing that you want to achieve with your life.
Love that.
Wow.
Sorry.
No it was really good. All right.
Well, you're more intense than it needed to be.
No, it was so good. That's what I love. Because we're in this energetic metamorphosis, and that's when the gold just gets sput out because you're kind of caught up.
In the energy of it.
It's so good. How about you, Al?
Yeah, I mean, I was going to basically say something very similar. The do it now kind of thing is really what people need to realize is now's the time. Now is when the people are out there that need what you have to offer. And if you overthink it, which is one of my main problems, is I overthink things and I try to make everything perfect before I put it out there, then it never gets put out there. Or if it gets put out there, it gets put out there in such a way that, like you say, you're the best hidden secret or the best kept secret out there. So you have to get it out there. You have to be bold. You have to just get it out there and keep getting it out there in order to attract the people that need what you have to offer and that have the ability to pay what you need to be paid in order to help them. And that would be the main thing is just do it now, even if it's not perfect. You're never going to get it perfect until you've done it a hundred times anyway, most likely. So get it out there. Get the hundred times out of the way and get it going.
Okay.
Clarity comes from action.
Ooh.
Yeah, that's right.
That's right.
So I share a little bit of both of everybody right now as being born and raised in New York city and being always laser focused for the next goal instead of living in the moment and just doing it. Oh, you know, you got to go to school so you can get a. Get into a college so you can get a good job, so you can get a nice house and you can have a nice family. But that mindset is a generational thing. So to break the generational type focused behavior and realize we are not promised tomorrow. So it's good to have scale and forecast, but still live within the moment, like both you wonderful people had said, has really changed my shift in things because guess what? If I do it and I fail, guess what? I'm no different than I am right at this moment. Except I try. And that's what I think makes the difference between the doers and the successful people are the just trying. It just Getting out of your comfort zone and just trying that one thing because guess what, it could be great. Or you can be just exactly where you are. And it really part of my French doesn't suck to be right where you are when you're really have a great idea and you want to do something to help the world or help people. So that's my little two cents of everything.
If you guys can just share where people can follow along with you on this journey.
Yeah, so the easiest place to find me is on Instagram. I am brand magnetic. One word, brand magnetic. And I'm also brand magnetic.com so if you can remember those two words, you can find me anywhere. Yeah, I'd love to connect with folks. Slide into my DMs as they say. I've got some content on there as well and that sounded creepy. How does it's not. But yeah, I love to connect with folks and then my podcast, my little baby Empire Secrets is another good way to find me.
Thank you so much for coming on. I appreciate it.
Yeah, love to thank you guys.
Yeah, how about for you, Will?
Well, my name is so difficult to spell. Probably not best to follow me on LinkedIn under William Hipschman. But if you go to cashflowautomationworkshop.com there'll be contact information on there that you can follow along with me and get onto my LinkedIn, get onto my Instagram and the different channels that I have at cashflow automation workshop.com thank you so.
Much for coming on. I really appreciate it. Randy, do you want to tell people where they can follow along with you?
I would rather them follow. Do the same formula. You'll see me everywhere, there, inside, outside, in our community, in our private communities, on our perfect social channels. I'd like to concentrate on that right now because doing some amazing things and I want to give my time to this. So.
